Ch. 156..159: The Wife I Never Met chapter 156-159 [Finale]
Chapter 156
Ciara immediately took Lina in to her arms and hugged her.
” Ohh baby, you missed me?”
The little girl nodded her head indicating that she did in fact miss her.
Hillary also came out of the room, following Lina. She looked at her daughter seriously and then asked.
” How did it go?”
Ciara shook her head and shrunk her shoulders before answering her.
” It wasn’t bad, however I’m still not sure if it would really help. I have booked another session, hopefully there’ll be progress by then.”
Hillary smiled and brushed her daughter on her shoulder and said,
” Don’t rush it, remember that these things do take time.”
” I know.”
She answered in a low voice, she then told her that they would be going out with Lina shortly as they had planned to go to the themed park with Liam, which Hillary didn’t mind at all as she too had some things to do back at home. Besides she was able to spend some time with her granddaughter after such a long time of not seeing her.
” That’s ok, have fun. But don’t forget to bring her over to the manor more often, your dad and granddad would also love to see her.
” Don’t worry mom, I will.”
Ciara responded with a smile, since it was Hillary who invited her to bring her daughter to the manor, she too was willing to try her best at mending their relationship.
Soon after Hillary had left Ciara also packed their bags and prepared to leave with her daughter.
When they got out of the house, she noticed that the driver was still there waiting for her.
” Hey you didn’t have to wait for us, I could’ve drove to the office.”
The man raised his hand up and said,
” I’m only doing my job ma’am.”
After closing the doors, he drove them straight to the Jones headquarters building in the city.
This was Ciara’s first time going in to the building after such a long time, and most definitely Lina’s first time as well.
Nothing had really changed, the interior was just as masculine as it was the last time she was here, people were still staring like before, it was probably because they were seeing their bosse’s daughter for the first time, the receptionist was still as fake as she was before, trying to curry favor Ciara.
‘This woman is so pretentious.’
Ciara thought to herself, but her thoughts were soon interrupted by the receptionist.
” Congratulations Mrs Jones on your upcoming wedding, you see, I would buy you a good gift but I don’t really know what you like and what your style is. How about Mrs Jones, we go out on a lunch date together, who knows maybe we can be just best friends.”
Ciara still remembers quite clearly how she treated her the first she was here and wouldn’t want to be friends with a person like that, so she politely declined her invitation.
” I’m sorry but my days are tight, especially with the up coming wedding, I can not even breath. Besides I don’t think it would be appropriate for us to be very close, since I’m technically your employer.”
She then left immediately not wanting to entertain the conversation any longer. She wasn’t about to let herself be used like that, if that girl wants her career to progress , she would then need to put in the effort just like the others.
She walked to the elevator, which took her to the president’s office and passed through the people working in that area. They all looked at her and Lina as they passed through.
Once she arrived at Liam’s office, she raised her hand to knock but was beat by the person on the other side of the door as they opened first.
” How did you know that we’re already here?”
Ciara asked as she was surprised at how fast Liam had opened the door without her even knocking.
Liam on the other side smiled and pretended to have known all along that she was there at the door.
” You are my wife and we’ve been together for so many years, so yes now I can sense your presence.”
He then stepped to the side allowing them entry in to his office.
” Hug baby.”
Said Lina as she broke loose from her mother and walked over to Liam to get her own hug from daddy, she then laid her head over on Liam’s chest.
” Have Lina been a good girl?.”
Lina nodded her head still being clingy and not letting go of her father.
” Lina behaved.”
” Good girl, now Lina will get a treat for being good, ok.”
Ciara looked at the duo and felt that Lina was just being a traitor, she left her all alone as soon as she saw her father.
” You guys can bond on another day, but now we really need to get going, ok.”
When Liam heard Ciara’s words, he whispered in to Lina’s ear.
” Somebody is getting jealous.”
He then laughed and even though Lina didn’t understand what Liam meant she too Laughed along with her dad.
” You do know that I can hear you right.”
The duo didn’t pay her any mind and continued to laugh, but when Liam noticed that Ciara was about to get mad, He stopped teasing and regained his seriousness.
” Ok ok, get your things and let’s go.”
They left right after Liam briefed his secretary about a few things, and then they drove straight to the park.
This was Lina’s first adventure but she didn’t look like she was enjoying herself. The rides were either too slow for her or she was too young for the more thrilling rides.
Noticing this both Ciara and Liam thought it would be better to treat her to something they knew she loved, and that was sugar.
The family of three walked to the stalls at the park and as they passed a man making cotton candy, Lina’s eyes beamed with excitement and began pulling Liam shirt.
” Dada, yummy candy. Please.”
Sure enough Liam couldn’t resist that and so they stopped at that stall and got her the cotton candy in her favorite colors which were blue and pink.
They walked around the packed park for an hour more then they thought it was now time to get dinner.
They opted for a restaurant which wasn’t far from where they were and one that had good children’s menu.
When they got to the restaurant they were allocated seating which was convenient for them as they had a young child with them, they ordered their dishes and then chatted while waiting for heir food to arrive.
” Tomorrow is the last day that we can meet up with the planner for our cake tasting, will you be able to go?”
Ciara asked this question knowing very well that Liam was swamped with work as they’ll be taking some time off after the wedding.
” There’s a lot to do at the office, but give me some time I’ll try to make it.”
Ciara shook her head and said,
” No, if you have a lot to do, we can always ask our friends to help us, you know they are always more than happy to help us out. Stacey can be there on time, can you talk to Matthew, maybe he too would be able to help us out.”
When he heard this, Liam looked at Car in suspicion,
” Hey what are you up to now?”
He knew right then that his wife had started again with her matching game.
In response Ciara only shrugged her shoulders and asked,
” What?, they’ll be only tasting cake nothing major.”
“Mhmm.”
They were then disturbed by the waiter who had brought their food to the table. Once he was gone, Ciara started cutting Lina’s food in to bite sizes so that was able to eat on her own without being fed.
They continued to eat their food and would talk from time to time, but was interrupted by Lina in he middle of their conversation as she started shouting.
” Stay!, Stay!”
The duo looked around to see the person Lina was so happy to see here and that was when they spotted both Matthew and Stacey walking in the restaurant holding hands as they were led to their table.
By the time Stacey saw the family of three it was way too late for her to yank off her hand from Matthew’s grip as they had already seen it but she still did. Matthew on the other side did not care if they saw them or not, everything was till as normal.
” Hey why didn’t you guys tell us that you were coming here, we could’ve had a double date or something.”
He asked as he pulled Stacey over to Liam’s table to greet them, just as Liam was about to chase him away, Ciara did the total opposite.
Chapter 157
” Hey what do you mean, we didn’t tell you? Are you not here with us right now? Come on grab a seat and join us, we don’t mind.”
She freely welcomed them to their table which made Lina even happier as she’d be spending more time with her Aunty.
Stacey and Liam though were not as happy as they both felt that they were being put in a very tight position.
So Liam looked at his wife and tried to politely dispute her invite to the other couple,
” Honey, I don’t think that he really meant it. I’m sure they would want to enjoy their time together, don’t you think?”
” Ow… “
As Ciara was about to apologize to them for her impulsive decision, Matthew had already pulled out a chair for Stacey to sit and he also sat down.
” Nonsense!, Do you know the meaning of that saying, ‘the more the marrier’. It will be more fun if we all sit together and enjoy this meal, it’s just a pity that Finnick and his wife are not here as well.”
Since now they would not be able to kick him out of their spot as he had already made himself comfortable, Liam decided to let his friend be.
They chatted for the longest time, while still enjoying the meal. Ciara offered to compensate their time spent with them by asking them to do the cake tasting on their behalf, and Matthew being the one who loved eating readily agreed to this offer.
It wasn’t until it was Lina’s time for bed that they started preparing to leave the restaurant, they said their goodbye and made their home.
” You know at some point you’ll need to stop trying to match people together as that might back fire on you one day. It is like how you’ve said it in that book of yours, if it is genuine and they were made to be together then there is no need for any external forces as it will all develop in time.”
Liam spoke as Ciara came out of Lina’s room after putting her in bed.
” So you do read my books, don’t you?”
That was all that Ciara took out from what Liam had just said, and she was really happy to hear her husband quoting her words from her books.
” You know that’s not the point.”
He then pulled her closer to him and gave her a light perk.
” You shouldn’t be on other people’s business like that, if they want to be in a relationship then let them work hard for it, so that when things don’t go according to how they’ve imagined, they don’t blame you for it.”
Ciara knew that what Liam was telling her was true, but all she wanted was for her friends to be happy and nothing else.
It was as if Liam was able to read her mind as he lifted up her chin to look her in the eye.
” I know you mean well and that you want them to be happy, in fact I also want them to be happy and settle down but we must also remember that they are old now and are very much capable of making their own decisions.”
” I guess you are right, I just hope they stop fooling around and realize the importance of the other in each of their lives.”
Liam then pulled her in for another hug and then said.
” Don’t worry, they will.”
Days passed by really quick and it was now time for every one to head over to the resort, the wedding would be held in just two days.
Liam had booked the whole resort, so no one was able to have access to it except for the invited guests and their hired staff.
“Are you sure you packed everything that you will need?, There’s no coming back if there’s anything left behind”
” Yah yah everything is in there.”
Those were Ciara’s parents as they were packing up their luggage in the cab, getting ready to leave and head up to the resort. They were both in high spirits, both happy to witness and be part of this important, joyful chapter in their daughter’s life.
Once all was packed up, the whole family including Ciara’s granddad got in to the car and started their long journey to the resort.
By they time they arrived, the sun was starting to set but they sure didn’t miss the beauty of it all.
The resort was built in an island with only a few other people who were residents. So as they approach with their small boat, they were able to see the whole view of that resort.
The resort itself had two wings, one was meant for the groom’s side of the family and the other was for Ciara’s side of the family.
In order to gain access to the resort they needed to present their wedding invitation card and then they checked for their name in their computer and there after will be allocated a room for the weekend.
Once everyone had checked in they all headed over to their rooms which definitely drove the ladies crazy and immediately called each other while screaming in excitement.
” Gosh Ciara do you really want us to really die here out of all places, but yah kill me I don’t mind as long as you kill me in luxury hahaha.”
” Owh my word can you guys get married more often and take us to places like these.”
Lisa commented as she turned her video over to show off her room revealing all the marble and real gold finishes of her room thinking that her room was better than the others.
” Hehehe someone is getting ahead of herself, look at mine darling, I even have a bar fridge full of wine and snacks. God I’m living life like a princess, why can’t I just move in here forever.”
Melissa also showed off her room in the group call leaving both Stacey and Donna laughing, but when Ciara notice the dissatisfaction in Lisa’s face she spoke up and clarified things.
” Hey Hey, don’t be like that you guys. Everyone have the same things in their rooms, all the snacks were packed according to your likes and preferences. The bar fridge may not be at the same place as in the other room but it’s there, check that cabinet with the coffee station, who knows, that might just be the bar fridge you’re looking for.”
Indeed when Lisa opened that cabinet, she noticed that, the door was actually for the fridge and not the cabinet itself.
” wooo fancy, this is really beyond my thinking ability.”
They were all amazed at the level of sophistication of that resort and they all wondered how much it costed for Liam to book the whole place.
” Ok ok, you guys need to relax and enjoy yourselves but don’t forget dinner is at seven sharp. You will get a a program for tomorrow’s activities when we meet at the dinning hall later.”
After chatting for some time with the girls, Ciara ended the call and took the time to be with her family. As the rules had been laid out, they weren’t allowed to share the same room with Liam so this was the only time she could spend with him.
And since she’d be busy, she won’t be seeing much of Lina as well, which was why she chose her family over hanging out with her friends.
After Ciara had ended the call with her friends, they continued with their conversation and decided to continue their discussion over some snacks and drinks over at Lisa’s room.
So each one of them picked up something they’ll be able to share with the group from their snack box and headed over to Lisa’s room.
When they got there she had already opened her bottle of wine and started drinking.
“Hey why didn’t you tell us that we will be drinking I could’ve brought another bottle.”
Melissa complained as she too wanted to have a little to drink so that she could get herself ready for the weekend.
Lisa patted her shoulder as she passed right through her to get another glass,
” Well my friend we will have to save that for when we come back from dinner, because I’m not going to sleep early when I don’t have work tomorrow.”
She then poured the wine for Melissa and then looked and Stacey and Donna.
” Friend there’re only two wine glasses here, I’ll pour you guys in a coffee mug, ok?”
Stacey gave her a questioning look, then asked.
” So you hate us that much that you are serving us in mugs as your guests?”
Lisa knew Stacey for the longest of time so she was aware that Stacey was just fooling around and wasn’t really serious about her complaint.
” Well if you really want a nice wine glass, you can go back to you room and bring two. We will try to wait for you hehehe.”
” God, you are so annoying”
Stacey rolled her eyes as she took the coffee mug with wine in it, from Lisa’s hand.
” Mhmmm, this tastes expensive! What brand is it, Gosh I’ve never seen that before.”
Said Donna suprised by the taste of the wine, but everyone turned to look at her as they were shocked by her response.
Chapter 158
When Donna noticed how everyone was looking at her , she looked back at them and asked,
” what? Why are you guys looking at me like that? “
” Well I’m just surprised that a whole doctor like you isn’t used to expensive wine just like us.”
This time Melissa spoke up for her sister,
” Stop it you guys, she may be a doctor but that still doesn’t change our background, we just need to learn the good stuff on our own as we grow up.”
” I guess we are all but the same bunch then, hehehe.” They laughed it up and continued to enjoy themselves to a point where they even forgot that they had to go down for dinner. Later on in the night they heard a knock at the door and Donna volunteered to go and open, only to find Ciara standing at the door.
“What happened to you guys, are you not hungry Dinner was served a long time ago and you didn’t show up.”
” Shoot!”
Donna said as she covered her mouth with one of her hands,
“Finnick must be worried about me, God we totally forgot. Hey Mel, what’s the time there?”
Everyone started panicking as they didn’t go down on time as Ciara had asked them to earlier.
Seeing the panic in their eyes, Ciara smiled in satisfaction.
“It’s thirty minutes past seven.” Melissa shouted.
Now Ciara couldn’t contain herself anymore and ended up laughing out loud.
” I knew this would happen, so I told you the wrong time. Dinner is about to be served anyway, so get ready and come down.”
She said as she turned around and left, leaving the group in disbelief. She continued laughing till she entered the elevator. Now that Ciara had reminded them, they had no choice but to go downstairs and join the others. Since they had been drinking and also had snacks earlier , they weren’t really hungry so they saved their plates for later.
After the meal was done, everyone was given a paper with the agender for the following day’s rehearsal and they then all returned to their rooms to rest as it was already late at night.
As Lina wasn’t Ciara’s responsibility for this weekend she chose to join the girls again in Lisa’s room and have a little sleep over for the last time. They drank the whole night just having fun together after such a long time.
The following morning they all woke up with a killer headache as they have been drinking the whole night, but since they didn’t really have a choice they dragged their tired wornout bodies downstairs to get their breakfast and start up with the day’s activities.
First on the agenda was their wedding rehearsal where they had to go through everything that would happen on the actual wedding day, the wedding planner insisted on this as she didn’t want anything to mess up with her reputation.
Although she wanted what was best for both the bride and groom, her ratings were far more important to her as that would help her maintain the best wedding planner status in the country and of course with that rating she can charge the amount she felt reflected her work ethics.
By the time the group arrived at the Garden where they’ll be practicing at, the planner had already been standing there waiting for them.
“You are late!”
That was the first thing she said with her serious expression while looking at them, making sure they feel the guilt.
“We are only late by two minutes, not a big deal.”
Said Lisa casually as she looked at the watch on her wrist.
“Not a big deal? Let me tell you dear, every second counts in order to have the best wedding otherwise I wouldn’t be here, so yes it is a big deal.”
She then moved her eyes from Lisa to the other people in the garden, clapped her hands twice then continued,
” Ok ladies and gentlemen let’s begin. I need the groomsmen to line up here and the bridesmaids to line up this side so that we can continue with our job here.”
They did just that. Matthew, Finnick, Liam’s brother and one of his old friend from college who flew in just for his wedding lined up just as they were told by the planner.
It was the same with the girls. Lisa, Stacey, Donna and Melissa also went to line up just like they were told.
The practice service then began, with Liam walking up to the alter, then each of the guys walked in locking arms with their partners from the bridal party and waited for Ciara along with Liam.
After some time the music changed and Ciara came in with her father by her side, slowly walking her in the white carpet that was laid down on the grass in the garden.
The wedding planner made them repeat this process a couple of times till she felt that everything was just flawless, by the time they were done with everything it was already afternoon and everyone just wanted to relax and unwind.
They walked back to the dinning hall and grabbed something light to eat.
“Ciara you do know that this is the last time you see Liam before the wedding, right? After this you will still have to spend the night with us.”
This was her mother reminding her of the rules, although she was already married to Liam, rules still applied.
“Yes Aunty is right CiCi, Don’t you worry Aunty we will bring her to our room tonight and will definitely keep an eye on her”
Lisa responded on Ciara’s behalf, the girls had planned to have another round of drinks tonight and this time it was to compensate Ciara for her failed Bachelorette party the last time. Since this was their only chance to make it up to her, they were sure going to use it.
Hillary and Maggie both looked at each other, then at Lisa and shook their heads. Then Maggie warned,
“I know you it’s a joyous occasion but don’t stay up too late, we need the bride fresh and beautiful.”
“Sure thing.”
Said Lisa with her hand raised up, she then looked at Azlea and asked her to be her backer.
“Right Azzy?”
Although Azlea knew that her mother’s request would never be adhered to, she still backed Lisa up.
“Yes that’s true mom, we will make sure that she gets enough sleep so that she gets to her wedding looking fresh and beautiful. “
Ciara looked on as her friends talked on her behalf and knew that they were up to something. She chose not to say anything as she would rather spend the rest of the day with her friends then to be bored with the oldies the whole time, besides if she spends time with the girls then both her mother and mother inlaw will take care of Lina and she can have all the fun she wants without having to worry about her baby.
Once they were all done with their meal, they all had free time to do whatever they wished to do for the rest of the day, the oldies decided to go to the spar so that they can relax a bit and be ready for the coming day while the younger generation chose to gather and celebrate in two rooms, one was for Liam and his male friends and the other was for ciara and her female friends.
In the ladies room, Ciara and her crew started their evening with a few drinks enjoying themselves, this time they were talking about how they all met and what the they thought about the other.
As the alcohol started doing its job in their bodies, they started being curious about what the guys were doing in the other room.
” I can’t see Liam before the wedding tomorrow, so I can’t spy for you guys but maybe Donna can go check for us.”
As Ciara said that, they all turned to Donna only to find her under the blanket and all tucked in as she was about to fall asleep.
She groggily asked to be counted out from those who would be spying on the guys as she was tired and already feeling drunk.
When they heard that, all heads turned to Stacey, and since she was still holding it together and wasn’t too wasted, she didn’t have a choice but to go.
She knocked on the guys room and was soon told to go in.
Once she was inside she noticed that it was more chilled this side than it was with the girls, none of guys were drunk or close to being drunk even though there a lot of open bottle and empty glasses on the table. Looking at them, you’d swear that they were at a funeral rather than a wedding.
Not knowing what to say, Stacey turned to look at Finnick and said,
” Your wife had too much to drink, she said I must tell you that you’ll be sleeping alone tonight as she is too tired to walked to her room.”
Hearing this, the men in the room laughed at the matter which made Finnick get up and go fetch his wife from the girl’s room, maybe that was a sign that they needed to call it a night.
As Stacey followed behind Finnick, a hand suddenly grabbed her and pulled her away from the door. When she turned to see who it was that was pulling, she saw Matthew.
” Hey let go of me, what are you doing?.”
Chapter 159 (The End)
” Hey, I need to introduce you to some people.”
Matthew said with a serious face, which made Stacey freeze on one spot and not fight him off any longer.
Seeing that she had stopped fighting him, he took that as a consent from her side and so he brought her over to his friends.
” Guys this is the mother of my kids, my woman Stacey, please do respect her.”
The guys started welcoming her warmly as they were happy to hear that Matthew had finally decided to settle down and start his own family.
” So this is the famous Stacey we’ve been hearing about? It’s my pleasure to finally meet you. Please accept this toast from me as we celebrate this wonderful day.”
This went on with almost everyone she was being introduced to, and since she didn’t want to come across as being rude, she drank to each and every toast made to her and by the time they got to the last guy she was now flushing red on her face as she couldn’t drink any more. She had reached her limits and luckily for her Matthew noticed this before she could even embarrass herself in front of so many people she had just met.
Matthew then told Liam that he’d be taking Stacey to bed as she was already drunk and that was the last time they were seen that night.
Once both his friends were gone, Liam didn’t see the need to linger any longer, so he too headed straight to bed.
The following day, which was the day of the wedding, the girls were woken up by someone banging on their door.
Lisa dragged her tired body to the door to see who it was so early in the morning, she opened a small gap and peaked but Donna pushed the door wide opened and walked in holding a pack of energy drinks in her hand.
” Owh my God, I can’t believe that you guys are still sleeping at such a time, Ciara! Melissa! Azzy Wake up your mom will be here in no time, we don’t want her to find this place looking like a shebeen now.
Azlea who didn’t touch a single drop of alcohol the previous night was the first one to wake up, she took a can of the energy drink from Donna, took a few sips and then began picking up the empty glasses of wine on the floor and throwing them in the trash can. She then continue to straighten up the room with the help of both Lisa and Donna.
After that they began taking their shower and started getting ready for the wedding which was to take place in just a few hours.
Ciara was then surrounded by a group of people who were dolling her up for her big day, one was working on her makeup while the other on her hair.
Today was the day she had dreamt about all her life, the day she’ll be wearing a wedding dress for the very first time and look like the princess that she was. Except now she was a queen and Lina was the princess.
On the other side Stacey opened her eyes as the sun rays started sipping in through the windows and shining in her eyes causing her to wake up. When she opened her eyes she noticed that there was someone else in bed with her, it was a man and his hand wrapped around her body .
” Uuuh Matthew?”
She started waking him up as well, she wanted to know how she ended up in that man’s bed naked at this hour.
“Mhmm?”
Matthew answered but was still tired from the previous night’s activity and wanted some extra minutes to sleep.
” How did I get here?”
” You came here with me, come on let’s sleep It’s still too early for this.”
He turned to the other side and closed his eyes again to sleep.
” Too early, what do you mean too early? Matt you took advantage of me while I was drunk, just pray that nobody sees me while coming out of here.”
She scolded at him while putting on her things, when it registered to Matthew what Stacey was about to do, all his sleep cleared up and he quickly woke up and walked up to her, this time he was prepared to claim his woman.
He held her hands to stop her from dressing up and pulled her closer.
” Hey what are you doing? Let go!”
” Stacey what are we really doing here?”
” Can’t you see that I’m getting dressed and am about to get out of this room?.”
” No what I mean is, we’re certainly both inlove with each other and have been like that for the longest of times, so what are these games that we are playing, can’t we be serious and act like adults for once?”
” What do you mean, I am an adult and have been acting like one. You are the one who still enjoy playing, you are the one who’s afraid of commitment.”
Matthew looked down and gathered his strength to say what was in his heart.
” Yes I am afraid of commitment, I am afraid of being let down, but with you I am will to take that risk.”
The room went dead silent and after some time he continued
” Don’t you get it Stacey? I love you, I always have and always will. Last night I didn’t take advantage of you but how you responded was a clear indication that you wanted this as much as I did.”
It was a lot for her to take in at once, she had always loved the man but held back since she was aware of his issues with commitment but now everything was different and now Matthew was willing to try it out with her.
” let me think about it.”
That was all she said before she walked out of the door and straight to her room.
She did everything robotically as her mind was preoccupied by what happened in Matthew’s room.
Once she was done dressing up she went over to Ciara’s dressing room to help out with her preparations, but sadly by the time she got there the wedding planner had also just arrived.
” Dear all the guest have been seated, so we have only twenty minutes before you need to go out.”
That was the announcement she heard from the planner as she walked in.
” Hey sorry I overslept, I guess I had a lot to drink last night.”
Ciara had known Stacey for many years now so she could tell that this was only a coverup story, something wasn’t right with her friend.
” Come out with it, what happened? And don’t you dare say nothing because I know you.”
” Friend today is your big day, I don’t want to spoil that for you.”
“Hey who cares, I’m already married anyway and right now I’m only concerned about you.”
Left with no other choice Stacey quickly summarize everything that had happened then asked for Ciara’s opinion.
“Friend Matt is a good guy and he truly loves you, but this is a decision you need to make. Just listen to your heart.”
Right then they were called in as it was now time for the ceremony to begin.
They all walked in just as how they had practiced the previous day and were now waiting for ciara to walk in.
The song began playing everyone stood up and all looked at her as she walked in the aisle with her dad.
Liam fell inlove with her all over again as he watched her in an angelic, fairy looking self. He smiled at her as she was finally standing right next to him.
After a few words from the marriage official, it was now time for them to exchange vows and after that they exchanged rings, Liam opted to keep his old ring as it was his gift from Ciara but he had a custom diamond ring made for his wife with her initials on it.
Just as the marriage official was about to say he may k**s the bride, Liam spoke.
” I have one last present for my wife.”
Then Lina walked up holding an envelope in her hands and handed it over to Liam.
Liam took the envelope thanked his daughter and then looked at Ciara.
” I didn’t really book this resort, but actually purchased it. This is my wedding present to you my love. You have made me the happiest man alive, you have sacrificed a lot to be with me today and have been through a lot in order to maintain our love, you have fought for us hence I say thank you. I love you Mrs Jones and I’ll always do.”
By the time he finished speaking Ciara was tearing up, he then sealed it with a k**s and also hugged her to soothe her.
Now that the formal part was done it was now time to party. They had managed to overcome all the obstacles in their lives and were ready to start this new chapter together in peace.
They were now at the reception having their first dance as a married couple, after some time people started joining them on the dance floor, even Matthew stood up and asked Stacey for a dance and to his surprise, she agreed. She laid her head on his chest while their bodies connected to one and moving slowly to the music, being in this man’s arms brought her so much contentment and sense of security that at some point she found herself saying.
” I am willing to build a life with you, and be with you till my last days here on this earth.”
Hearing this Matthew thought he didn’t hear properly but still with a full blown smiled on his face he asked,
” What did you just say?”
Stacey smiled and only nodded her head, to say ” you heard exactly what I said.”
The day ended beautifully with everyone content with their lives and how peaceful it was. They danced, ate and drank to their heart’s desire.
All was just well.
