Ch. 136..140: Trapped in a Secret Marriage with a Dangerous Billionaire Chapter 136-140

Chapter 136: Aurora’s Anger

Olivia leaned back into her seat with a self-assured smirk, elegantly crossing one leg over the other. Her tone was casual, but her words were laced with intrigue.

"My mother has been meticulously working toward a connection with Major Walker since discovering his identity. And today," she paused, relishing the moment, "he finally invited her to his private residence to meet the rest of his family."

Aurora’s fingers tightened slightly around her teacup as she maintained her composed demeanour. "Mrs. Swift is impressively patient," she commented with a faint smile. "I like that quality."

Olivia chuckled lightly, her lips curling in agreement. "Sometimes, I admire her for it too. Patience is not my strongest suit. I can’t imagine working toward something for so long and waiting to reap the benefits."

Aurora chuckled softly, her laughter fading into a thoughtful hum. Taking a delicate sip from her tea, she let a moment of silence stretch before posing her question.

"So, Olivia," she began, her voice curious yet cautious, "surely you’re not planning to share this information with Aurora herself. What exactly do you and your mother intend to gain from Major Walker’s connections? Do you intend to pose as his daughter?"

Olivia hesitated briefly before exhaling and leaning slightly forward, her smile unwavering. "Pose as his daughter? That would be bold, but also foolish. A strategist like the Major isn’t easily deceived." She laughed, waving the thought away. "No, we’re not that reckless. All we need is his influence—to secure our position and climb higher."

Aurora nodded slowly, her expression calm, though her mind churned with thoughts. She now knew not only her biological father’s identity but also the mother and daughter’s scheming intentions. Her resolve tightened as she masked her emotions behind a small, polite smile.

Satisfied that she had impressed Mrs. Scott with her revelations, Olivia tilted her head curiously. "And you, Mrs. Scott? What do you plan to do now?"

Aurora set her teacup aside and mirrored Olivia’s calm demeanour. "I will need a bit of time to ensure this information is used effectively. Your efforts won’t be wasted," she assured her with a gracious smile. "Thank you for sharing it with me. Let’s meet again when my schedule allows. And if you need anything, contact my secretary, Nene—she represents me fully."

Though the statement was meant as a subtle dismissal, Olivia couldn’t help but feel a pang of disappointment. Despite their hours together, Aurora had still not given her personal contact information. However, Olivia forced a bright smile. "Of course, Mrs. Scott. Thank you."

Just then, Olivia’s face lit up as another idea struck her. She retrieved her phone from her purse with an eager expression. "Would you mind taking a few photos with me before I leave?"

Aurora’s brows lifted briefly, but she nodded. "Of course."

Olivia practically skipped over to Aurora’s side, positioning herself for a selfie. She snapped two shots in quick succession and glanced at the photos with a satisfied grin before showing them to Aurora. "They turned out beautifully, don’t you think?"

Aurora glanced briefly at the photos and replied with a practised smile. "They look great. Feel free to post them, but blur my face first."

Olivia’s enthusiasm didn’t waver as she quickly agreed. "Anything you ask, Mrs. Scott!"

---

Aurora and Nene accompanied Olivia to the main entrance when it was time for her to leave. Olivia’s smile was radiant as she expressed her gratitude repeatedly. "Thank you so much for inviting me over, Mrs. Scott. This evening was unforgettable."

As the sleek Rolls-Royce pulled away with Olivia inside, Aurora’s smile faded like a passing shadow. Her jaw clenched, and her hands balled into fists at her sides, her thoughts a whirlwind of suppressed emotion.

She didn’t notice Xander’s car pulling into the driveway until Liam stepped out and opened the back door. When Xander emerged, his brows furrowed slightly as his piercing gaze locked onto her.

"Sweetheart," he called softly, concern evident in his tone as he strode toward her.

Aurora forced a small smile. "Welcome back," she greeted, her voice quieter than usual.

Xander stopped in front of her, his hand gently cradling her cheek as his eyes searched hers. The sadness he saw there made his jaw tighten. He shifted his gaze to Nene, who stood a step behind Aurora.

"Was that Olivia Swift who just left?" he asked, his voice calm but probing.

"Yes, Mr. Scott," Nene confirmed with a polite nod.

Xander exhaled heavily, his focus returning to Aurora. He sensed the weight of what had happened and suspected the worst. "Did you find out?"

Aurora’s lashes fluttered briefly before she met his gaze. "Yes," she whispered. "Olivia told me everything. My biological father is Major Walker."

Xander froze, his eyes widening in shock. "What?"

Aurora’s chest rose and fell with the force of her emotions. Her voice trembled as she continued, "Do you know why my father died? He wanted to tell me the truth about my biological father. Stella killed him for it. He died protecting me!"

Her voice cracked as tears streamed down her cheeks. Before Xander could respond, Aurora turned abruptly and stormed into the house.

"Sweetheart!" Xander called, quickly following her. He found her in their bedroom, pacing like a storm, her fists clenched tightly.

"How could I have been so ignorant?" Aurora demanded, her voice filled with anguish. "They treated me like trash, schemed behind my back—and I let them! Because of my stupid morals"

She grabbed the lamp from the nightstand and hurled it to the floor, the shattering sound echoing through the room.

"Aurora!" Xander exclaimed, rushing forward. He avoided the shards of glass as he reached for her, gripping her arms gently. "Sweetheart, calm down. Aurora, being morally upright is not a weakness. It’s your strength. Never compromise it, even in the name of revenge," he said, his voice firm but soothing.

Aurora’s chest heaved as she looked at him, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt. "You are preaching about morals, Xander," she said bitterly. "Tell me, do you stick to them during your secret missions?"

Chapter 137: Doubting The Baby

Xander’s sigh was deep and heavy, his gaze shadowed by the weight of Aurora’s stare. "Sweetheart, we’re different," he began, his tone low, almost regretful. "I’m trying to protect you. Believe me, loving you is what keeps me human, what stops me from losing myself. You’re the reason I stay sane, and I don’t want to risk you getting hurt in the end."

Aurora shook her head, frustration flashing in her eyes as she stepped back, creating a small but deliberate distance between them.

"Xander," she said firmly, her voice tinged with both anger and conviction, "you say that I keep you human, that I stop you from losing yourself. Then shouldn’t you understand? You’re the one who will help me hold onto my morals when I go down the wrong path. Because I won’t sit still anymore."

Xander nodded reluctantly, realizing that her resolve was unshakable. He had hoped to shield her from the ugly realities of revenge, but it was clear she was ready to face them head-on. Inwardly, he felt a grim sense of relief—perhaps now she would better understand his world, a world he had kept hidden for so long.

Aurora’s expression softened, but the resolve in her voice remained sharp. "Good," she replied. "Because this isn’t just about finding out who I am anymore. They’ve gone too far, and I won’t let them walk away unscathed."

Xander’s gaze darkened as he asked, "And what about the Major? Are you planning to confront him?"

Aurora nodded, her voice calm but firm. "I have to. I need to know if he’s aware of who I am or if he’s been pretending all along. I won’t make any assumptions until I hear the truth from him directly."

Xander studied her, his mind racing with possibilities. "Okay," he said at last. "But sweetheart note that the Major isn’t simple—he’s sharp, strategic, and far from naive. Let me know when you’re ready."

Aurora’s shoulders sagged slightly as the weight of her thoughts pressed down on her. She moved toward the bed, sitting down with a tired sigh. The revelations of the evening had drained her, leaving her dizzy and overwhelmed.

Xander followed her, sitting beside her and wrapping an arm around her shoulders, drawing her into his embrace. "Are you okay?" he asked gently, his voice filled with concern.

Aurora chuckled softly, though her smile was hollow. "I don’t know," she admitted, her gaze distant. "Sometimes, I wish I could turn back time to before I found out any of this. It’s like a part of me has shattered, and no matter what I do, I can’t put it back together." Her voice wavered slightly, and she pressed a hand to her forehead. "And the rest of my memories... maybe it’s better if they never return."

Xander tightened his hold on her, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead. "Sweetheart, no matter how broken things feel, we will face it together. You don’t have to carry this alone."

---

Meanwhile, Stella’s laughter rang lightly in the dining room of the Major’s modest residence. "Major Walker, your simplicity is admirable," she said, though her words carried a veiled critique.

Her eyes roamed the room, noting the understated decor that fell far below her expectations. She had imagined grandeur—opulence fitting for a man of his stature. Instead, she found herself surrounded by muted elegance.

The Major’s wife, a stately woman with greying hair styled in a tight bun, smiled subtly. Though her features were plain, she carried herself with the refined grace of an aristocrat. "My husband values simplicity," she replied, her tone polite but firm. "We don’t believe in excess, no matter how much we’ve achieved.""I see," Stella said with a forced smile. She quickly shifted gears, her tone becoming warm again. "It’s a shame I didn’t have the chance to meet your son tonight. Perhaps next time."The Major nodded curtly, his face unreadable. "Perhaps," he said, his deep voice betraying no emotion.

As the evening wound down, the Major personally walked Stella to her car. "Thank you for saving my son," he said plainly as she prepared to leave. His words appeared genuine, but his expression remained detached.

"The honour is mine," Stella replied with a gracious bow. As she climbed into her car, a triumphant smile spread across her lips. Tonight was another step closer to solidifying the alliance she sought.

The Scott Family’s Main Residence

Olivia arrived home, her heels clicking against the polished floors as she ascended the stairs to her bedroom. She carried the two gift bags Aurora had given her, her face glowing with satisfaction from the evening’s accomplishments.

However, her smile vanished the moment she entered the room and saw Owen casually slipping his phone into his pocket. His gaze flicked to her, sharp and unimpressed. "I see you’re back," he remarked flatly as his eyes lingered on the gift bags.

"And I see you didn’t go clubbing tonight. Shocking," Olivia retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she dropped her bags on the bed. "What’s next? Developing a conscience?"

"Wrong." Owen’s lips curled into a cold smirk, turning to face her fully. "My conscience is dead when it comes to you. Don’t flatter yourself into thinking I stayed home for your sake. You mean nothing to me."

Olivia’s hand clenched at her side, her face twisting with fury as she turned to face him. "What about your child, Owen?" she shot back, her voice trembling with rage.

She placed a hand on her growing belly. "Doesn’t he mean anything to you? You’ve never once asked about him, never bothered to come to a single doctor’s appointment. What kind of father do you plan to be?"

Owen’s cold laughter filled the room, cutting through her anger like a blade. His gaze dropped to her stomach before meeting her eyes. "And how am I sure that child is even mine?"

Olivia’s breath hitched, her lips parting as she stared at him in disbelief. "W-What?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Chapter 138: Her Own Little Secret

Never in a million years did Olivia ever think that Owen would suggest that her child didn’t belong to him.

Though she didn’t expect much from him since he didn’t love her anymore and the feeling was mutual on her side, slandering her and questioning her dignity was unexpected and uncalled for.

"Have you finally lost your mind, Owen?" Olivia barked, her voice trembling as anger shimmered in her eyes.

Owen spread his arms out with a care in the world and said, "Maybe, I have since lost my mind since the thought of sharing the same space as you and breathing the same air is now threatening my life."

"You treacherous bastard!" Olivia cursed, fuming in rage as her chest rose and fell rapidly. She was so mad that if given a gun, she wouldn’t hesitate to shoot Owen down immediately.

Owen clapped his hands with a sly grin on his lips. "Thank you for the compliments. I will see you tomorrow morning." Then without a word of explanation, he stormed out of the bedroom, leaving Olivia to seethe in her rage.

A breath got caught in Olivia’s throat as her weight sank into the edge of the bed. She gripped the sheets with her fingers as her gaze strayed towards the door Owen had shut with a loud thud.

It took a while for Olivia to calm her raging emotions as it wasn’t an easy fit. Owen’s words hard cut her deep and left her shattered.

She wasn’t like him as she had never cheated on him with anyone, so how dare he accuse her of carrying someone else’s child? No faithful woman or wife would ever tolerate what Owen said.

Olivia quickly reached out to wipe the tears that had streamed down her cheeks before picking up her phone, her thoughts, in disarray.

Contrary to her emotional pain, she went through her phone’s gallery and selected three pictures that she had clicked earlier that evening before posting them on her Instagram page, with an eye-catching caption below.

The first slide showed Olivia in the Rolls-Royce enjoying a glass of champagne. The second slide showed her sitting outdoors in front of the table with sumptuous dishes spread across it. Lastly, there was the selfie she took with Mrs. Scott.

She blurred her face as instructed before posting the caption, "Thank you for inviting me to your home and treating me like a queen, Mrs. Scott. I am truly honoured. Cheers to many more years of friendship. #AGrandEveningWithMrsScott."

After posting, Olivia went through her caption a few times satisfactorily before keeping her phone aside.

The next morning, Olivia woke up feeling nauseous and rushed to the bathroom to throw up. It took a few minutes before she finished and went to the sink to brush her teeth and wash her face. When she was done, she stared at herself through the mirror for a moment before pulling the shelf below open.

She grabbed the bottle of pills hidden under the folded towels and opened it to take out two capsules from it. Next, she popped them in her mouth and swallowed them down with a glass of water.

"Of what use is having you when your father doesn’t want you?" she muttered under her breath, her eyes never leaving the mirror as the scene from Owen’s insinuation last night, came flooding back into her memory.

Just a few seconds later, Olivia’s thoughts were broken by the ringing sound of her phone and she left for the bedroom to take the incoming call.

"Good morning, Mum," Olivia greeted, her voice lacking enthusiasm.

"Good morning, daughter. I believe you had a wonderful night, right?" Stella’s rich voice inquired, and not waiting for Olivia’s response, she continued, "Why didn’t you tell me you were going to see Mrs. Scott yesterday? And how did you manage to get into her good books so quickly that she would invite you over to her private residence?"

Olivia smiled smugly as she folded one arm below her chest and plopped herself down on the couch. "Mum, you are asking a lot of questions which I won’t be giving answers to since they are my own little secrets."

"I see..." Stella drawled. "So, you are going to start keeping secrets from your mother?" she asked in a deliberately low tone that suggested her disappointment and hurt.

"Correct," Olivia admitted without wasting a second. "Do you have any problems with that, mother?"

Stella shook her head, releasing a small sigh. "Go ahead and do as you please, just as long as you don’t ruin our plans." Though she was curious to know her daughter’s method in winning Mrs. Scott over, she was still proud of her. At least she could accomplish her goals without her help.

"How is my grandchild doing? You should come home one of these days," Stella added.

As soon as the conversation with her mother ended, Olivia opened her Instagram page to check the number of comments and likes she had gotten from her last post and to her surprise, the numbers were alarming.

It was surprising to see how much interest people had in Mrs. Scott who has never shown her face in public. And a good number of people in Olivia’s comment section wanted to know what she looked like.

"Mrs. Scott invited you to her private residence??? Wow! Congratulations!"

"Are you and Mrs. Scott close? How did you manage to snag that invitation?"

"Olivia, show us what Mrs. Scott looks like!"

"What an honour it is to be a friend to Mrs. Scott!"

"Seems like Mrs. Scott did treat you well. Tell us your secret, Olivia. We want to meet Mrs. Scott as well.

A proud smile lit up on Olivia’s face as she read some of the comments under her latest post. She enjoyed every bit of it even though there were a few negative comments that irked her. But more important than the random comments from others, were the messages from her eager friends asking all the questions there was to Mrs. Scott.

They wanted to know how everything happened and begged for the full gist which Olivia was withholding.

"This is something none of you can ever have," Olivia mumbled to herself as she closed her Instagram page and opened her gallery to check the selfies she clicked with Mrs. Scott only to see they were gone.

Her eyes grew wide as she leaned back in shock, her fingers hovering over her phone screen. "What the... Where did they go to?" she wondered as she quickly swiped through her recent photos in search for the pictures, but never found them.

"D-Did I accidentally delete them or what?" she thought to herself as her face clouded with anger and disappointment.

Chapter 139: Stephanie Drops The Bomb

On the other hand, while Olivia was still crying over the loss of her selfies with Mrs. Scott as she was now only left with the blurred-out one on her Instagram page, Aurora was enjoying a simple breakfast with Xander.

Just then, Liam walked in to report to Aurora about the thing she asked for. "We have cleared every one of those photos from her phone’s memory."

"Thank you," Aurora said before dismissing him. Then turning to Xander, she informed him about her Aunt’s coming. "She will be here in two days."

"That’s fine by me," he said before adding a little caution. "But be sure not to reveal too much to her."

Aurora said she understood since the lesson she learnt yesterday night still haunted her. She wasn’t going to trust anyone so easily again and every information about her personal life would remain private.

After breakfast, Liam met Xander privately to discuss something important.

"Sir, our team found the location of the waiter’s wife in Mexico in the early hours of this morning," Liam reported as a deep sigh of relief escaped Xander’s lips.

"Find out everything she knows about her husband and Adam Swift’s death," Xander instructed, her eyes blazing with authority.

"Yes, Sir," Liam bowed politely before walking away.

~***~

TWO DAYS LATER.

Stephanie arrived at Xander’s private residence and was welcomed by the butler. And just as she stepped into the sitting area, Aurora emerged from the kitchen.

"Aunt Stephanie, welcome," she greeted her Aunt warmly before taking the seat next to hers.

Stephanie inquired how Aurora was doing and Aurora asked about the company and the latest updates. After filling her in, Stephanie asked about the wine she had come for.

"The wine and the steak are ready," Aurora confirmed with a smile before leading the way to the dining table.

Just five bites into the steak and three sips from the wine and Stephanie was satisfied. "This combination is unique. Now, you will just have to give the recipe to the winery to perfect the taste as we already have blue grapes that have been fermented for months. Your wine will even taste better if made with them."

Aurora agreed to her suggestion and went on to share more details about the wine, including the report she was walking on.

"Using the blue grapes that have been fermenting in the winery for months to make the wine will draw its release date near. At least we won’t have to wait until a year or two. Also, I have some other ideas which I will share with you when I come to work on Monday. I’m still working on the report."

"Are you well enough to resume work on Monday?" Stephanie asked, but almost immediately, she shook her head. "Don’t answer the question," she said, looking Aurora in the eyes. "Bring your doctor’s report with you whenever you are ready to return."

Aurora relaxed into her chair with a smile, "That’s no problem."

After having dinner, Aurora and Stephanie moved back to the sitting area to chat about a more serious course. But first, they started with a light conversation.

"I saw Olivia’s Instagram post," Stephanie started, giving Aurora a meaningful glance with a hint of suspicion in her tone. "Did she actually meet ’Mrs. Scott’ or someone else?"

"It depends solely on Olivia." The corners of Aurora’s lips curled into a smile as she refused to reveal more details. "So, Aunt, what is this confidential conversation you had with my father that you wanted to share with me?" she inquired, crossing her leg over the other.

Stephanie managed a small smile, withholding her probing. "On the morning your father died, he called me into his study to talk about some things that have been weighing deeply in his mind. Vintage Cellar was one of them, but the most important one was about Olivia."

"What about Olivia?" Aurora’s brows furrowed slightly sensing the seriousness of the truth she was about to learn.

"Days before your father tasked you two with producing a new product for the company, he had accidentally found out that Olivia wasn’t his daughter," Stephanie revealed, her tone grave.

Instantly, Aurora uncrossed her leg and leaned out from the couch, her lashes blinking in shock. "What! A-Aunt, I-I don’t understand a word you said. Do you mind repeating that?"

Stephanie exhaled deeply as silence ensued in the room. She didn’t utter another word until almost another minute had passed. "Stella deceived your father for years. Olivia is not his daughter by DNA."

"Is that even possible?" Aurora asked without thinking, her voice shaking with a light tremor.

Yes, Stella was capable of anything, but to pin another man’s pregnancy on her father and deceive him for so many years? Aurora doubted that, and she had wanted to ask Stephanie if she was sure of her statement, but quickly rephrased it.

"Dad found out that Olivia wasn’t his daughter and didn’t confront Stella about it? How?"

Stephanie shook her head. "He didn’t see any need to confront Stella about it for a few reasons. One, confronting her wouldn’t change anything no matter how hurt he was as he didn’t have any energy for the fight. Two, dealing with the truth the way he would have wanted would ruin him, the family and the company. Three, he was already too old to try and father another child that would directly come from him, so he left everything as it was."

One statement that Stephanie made struck Aurora strongly. In the end, Adam never had any biological child even though he was a father to two girls. This made her wonder about the kind of pain Adam must have been in after learning that painful truth.

What Stella did to Adam was the highest form of betrayal ever recorded in the world’s history.

Aurora no longer felt hurt by what Stella did to her, but rather she was devastated by her wicked actions towards her father.

How could Stella make Adam raise a child that didn’t belong to him as his own for so many years? That woman sure did have a lot of guts.

Chapter 140: Aurora Returns to Work

Stephanie watched Aurora for a moment and said, "I know you must be mad at your father for keeping silent over this matter. Even I was mad at him but chose to respect his wishes in the end." Pausing for a moment to catch her breath, she added, "I think you should do that as well."

"Do I have a choice?" Aurora spread her arms out in total defeat. If her father refused to judge Stella while he was alive, who was she?

She believed she didn’t have that right and was expected to leave at like that.

On the other hand, Stella spoke her mind. "I don’t plan to let Stella off over this matter. If my brother gave up because he was too tired to fight, I’m not. But he can be rest assured that his Will would remain standing."

In another sense, Stephanie is going to confront Stella later about her betrayal, but that doesn’t mean she will prevent her from receiving Adam’s last privileges.

Meanwhile, Aurora had no qualms with whatever her Aunt would do with that piece of information. She also didn’t care as she was no longer the innocent peaceful woman from the past.

Also, it’s not like she doesn’t plan to use this information to her own benefit. Now that she knows Olivia isn’t their father’s biological daughter either, she is going to kill every atom of guilt she used to have and face her squarely.

Soon, Stephanie picked up her bag to leave. "See you on Monday with your Doctor’s report," she said to Aurora before getting into her car.

As Aurora watched the car drive off, a deep sigh of relief escaped her lips. It was time to start playing games with a new perspective and dimension.

When Xander returned home from a meeting, Aurora revealed the bomb Stephanie had dropped on her. There wasn’t even a hint of surprise on Xander’s face after that.

"Sweetheart, I think you should at this point expect anything from your stepmother. She is capable of doing the unthinkable."

Aurora observed Xander’s surprisingly calm posture and didn’t know what to say. She thought his mindset was so different probably because of his military training.

"So, what are we going to do because I can’t leave this woman alone?" Aurora asked, batting her lashes as she folded her arms below her chest.

"What do you want to be done to her?" Xander inquired, holding her annoyed gaze. "If you want her dead, I can easily put a bullet through her head and she would be gone forever," he suggested.

Aurora eyed him warily. "Xander, can you stop talking about killing people the uncouth way? What will you tell your son or your daughter that you do?"

As soon as Xander heard her talking about their kids, he stepped forward with an ever-growing smirk on his lips. Next, he placed a palm on her belly and said, "I would tell them the truth; their father was trained to serve justice. With that said, when are we having a baby?"

Aurora scoffed and slapped his arm away. "I’m returning to work on Monday and I need my doctor’s report, to clear me up."

"Sweetheart, I am your doctor," Xander said, lifting a brow. "And you are not completely fit to return to work. Remember, your head was opened a few weeks ago and the aftermath of that surgery still follows you. And as your doctor, I suggest..."

"Darling, I won’t compromise this. Let’s run some tests now to see how fit I am," Aurora suggested without mincing words.

Even if she hadn’t recovered fully before her Aunt visited, she was completely healed now after learning that ugly truth.

~***~

On Monday, Aurora returned to work with a completely different vibe. As soon as she walked into the company, she took the elevator straight to her new office which had been cleaned and tidied before going to Stephanie’s office to submit her doctor’s report.

"I still didn’t think you would be able to make it," Stephanie said, peeping from her reading glasses as she received her doctor’s report.

"Fortunately, I’m determined," Aurora stated then leaning on her desk, she asked, "Can I leave?"

"Not so fast." Stephanie returned her gaze to the medical report. She only released Aurora when she saw the doctor’s written statement, stating she was fit to return.

The minute Aurora returned to her office, she phoned Lilian and asked her to come up to her floor., but just as she set the phone down, a soft knock sounded on her door and thinking it was someone reasonable, she offered her approval.

"Ah! Look who we have here." Olivia smiled as she walked in, her baby bump slightly protruding from the body-fit black dress she wore. "The highly esteemed COO is back."

As Aurora’s gaze followed Olivia, the only thing she could think about was pity. Yes, Aurora pitied Olivia for always bragging that Adam was her father alone and she (Aurora) was the outsider who came to drag her father’s properties with her but with this truth, Aurora wondered how Olivia would feel when she found out the truth because she doubted that she knew of it.

"And how may I be of help?" Aurora asked, watching as she pulled out a chair in front of her desk and sat down.

"I just came to find out the new idea you brought from France," Olivia said with an ever-growing smirk on her lips. "I’m sure you came up with another spectacular idea like your Fruit Punch Champagne."

Aurora stared at Olivia like she had lost her mind. The last thing she would ever believe right now was Olivia being interested in her ideas. Given that smirk on her lips, it was obvious that she had come to see her especially to gloat about something.

"Olivia drop that act and tell me why you are here because I would rather believe you came to make trouble than you coming to check up on my ideas. So, what is it?" Aurora asked, clasping her fingers together.
