Chapter 416: The Card Game
Dora’s eyes were full of tears and drank up her wine.
Seeing they were all enjoying wine, Kylie licked her lips and felt envious.
After several toasts, they began to enjoy the food.
Dora gradually calmed herself down and looked at Kylie, saying, “I’ve watched Dangerous World, and you’ve done a great job in it.”
Kylie raised her glass of juice. “Dora, I still need your help in the future.” Hearing that, Dora felt like crying.
William put down his knife and fork. “Aunt Ethan, shouldn’t you help me first?”
“Haven’t I already done that?” Kylie smiled. “I’ve cleared your name.”
“It’s not enough!” William said. “Well, why don’t you take part in the show which I just established, so everyone will know we’re getting along well as usual.”
“You just want to attract more attention to your show.” Dora smiled. “Mrs. Parker’s appearance fee is very high now, and not every show can afford it.”
Hearing Dora address Kylie as Mrs. Parker, others around the dining table were all shocked, and looked at Kylie with delight.
Kylie beamed and held Dora’s arm. “Dora is right, and I listen to Dora. Dora, do you think I should join in his new show?”
Dora pretended that she was making a hard decision, then said, “Well, why don’t you hire me as the planner of your new show, and I can help you persuade her to join in it.”
Hearing that, William wore a sad face. “Why is it so difficult for me to start up a business?”
“Dora…” When Ethan was about to say something, Dora interrupted him.
“Ethan, please let me try it myself this time. I want to see whether I have the ability to build a successful business on my own.”
She decided to prove her ability before Ethan’s face. Without relying on Ethan, she could also become an outstanding entertainment worker.
Ethan nodded, then looked to William.

They had another toast with happiness.
After drinking for a while, they started to chat with each other in two and three.
William was talking with Kylie about his ideas about his new show. Dora made an excuse that she wanted to smoke and left the private room.
She stood on the terrace, looking at the bright moon in the dark sky. She took a long breath out with smoke and suddenly felt someone was standing behind her.
Dora didn’t bother to turn around, and said, “Kylie’s pregnant now, and you can’t smoke. I bet you must miss it.” Saying that she drew out a cigarette and handed it over. “It’s not very strong. You can enjoy it.”
“I’ve already got rid of it,” he said lightly.
Dora was struck dumb for a second, then turned around to look at Ethan. His delicate fine features looked more attractive in the moonlight.
She knew it more clearly than anyone else how addicted he had been to cigarettes, but he could get rid of it for the sake of Kylie.
There was a wry smile on her lips, and she put the cigarette back. “She’s your angel.”
“She’s my life.” Ethan sounded determined.
He looked to Dora and remained silent for a while. “Kylie said you could stay with us.”
Hearing that, Dora’s eyes were full of tears again. She moved her head away at once. “What? Does she want to swear sovereignty right before my face?”
“She means it,” Ethan said.
Dora couldn’t help but let tears flow down through her cheeks, but she still did her best to control her voice and make herself sound relaxed. “No, I don’t want to live in another person’s place. I still want to find my own love. Haven’t you heard of it? Every Jack has his Jill.”
Ethan understood Dora would never accept failure, so he didn’t insist. “Well, we’ll keep a room for you, and you can come back whenever you want.”
“Sure,” Dora whimpered, biting her lips.

In the private room, Nate looked at Stephen with his legs crossed. “Stephen, why couldn’t you get a woman you love?”
Stephen rolled his eyes at him. “I think you better figure it out yourself at first before you ask me that question. Kylie is the woman I loved too, but Ethan had her. I doubt if she still loves him once she learned the truth, ”
“I know the answer very well, but I’m warning you, don’t you dare betray us. You’re the Doctor who developed something for our clan. Ethan will not forgive you once you spell his secret,” Nate was a little drunk and laid his arm across Stephen’s shoulder. “Those women who admire me can occupy a road from the beginning to the end!”
Stephen snorted, “So?”
“So, I need to try one by one to find out the best!” Saying it, Nate squeezed a handful of something into Stephen’s palm. “Come on, try it.”
Stephen looked down and was annoyed. Nate squeezed five condoms into his hand!
“What are you talking about? It seems very mysterious!” Dinah sat down right by Stephen’s side.
Stephen didn’t know what to do, but could only put them into his pocket.
“How much have you lost?” Stephen changed the subject.
Dinah beamed and spread out one hand.
“Five hundred?” Stephen asked.
“Nope.”
“Five thousand?”
“Not even close.”
“Fifty thousand?” Stephen was displeased. How could she lose fifty thousand dollars by just playing cards?
Dinah pouted and nodded. “They worked together against me!”
Nate was enjoying his success at this moment, and Stephen pulled him up without delay. “Nate, let’s play cards together!”
The card game began once more.
This time, Stephen alone played against Nate and Fannie.
Kylie sided with Stephen. “I support Stephen!”
“I support Nate!” William joined in the game as well.
“I support Stephen too!” Dinah was excited.
Dora pushed the door open, walking inside, followed by Ethan. She stood behind Nate and said with a smile, “I know you’ll lose money, so I support you out of kindness.”
Nate was very cunning, and he had an idea of seeing he was at a disadvantage right now. “Ethan, come on, join us!” He believed Ethan would side with him.
Ethan agreed and sat down with them. Other people’s stands changed as well.
Dinah supported her husband, as usual, William became Fannie’s staff officer, Dora was supportive of Nate, and Kylie stood behind Ethan.
“Honey, win as much as you could, and I’ll give you a reward tonight!” Kylie said, but Ethan hugged her to let her sit on his lap. “You can play cards, and I’ll help you.”
Chapter 417: Ethan’s Affection
When she heard Ethan’s approval, her eyes wide-opened, and excitement took over. Stephen silently cursed Ethan inside his mind when he saw the affectionate look he threw to Kylie. He wanted Kylie to be his woman, but she didn’t choose him.
Dinah, who was seated next to him, simply give him a secret and elbowed him. Stephen glared at him in return.
Meanwhile, Kylie and Ethan were immersed in the card game and overlooked Dinah and Stephen’s silent war. Kylie was fortunate and got many useful cards, but she didn’t know how to use them well.
“What should I do now?” Kylie asked Ethan. “I think Stephen is about to win.”
Ethan hugged her in an arm, and fed her a piece of apple with another hand, then pressed several cards held in her hands down. “Do whatever you want. And he slightly bites Kylie earlobe that makes her blushed suddenly,”
Kylie didn’t believe it. Could she play as she wanted with the rest cards?
Nate was the next one to play cards. He glanced at Kylie, then asked with a smile, “Kylie, have you played cards before?”
“Of course, yes!” Kylie said with certainty. “I’ve played on-line card games and even won five dollars.”
Nate pulled his lips with disdain and looked at his cards. “Well, I’m afraid you can’t be that lucky today.”
Kylie turned to Ethan for help again. “What should I do next?”
Ethan, again, pressed two of her cards down on the table. “Go on.” Fannie, however, was very nervous.
She drew out a card and threw it on the table with hesitation. “The 2 of hearts.”
Stephen didn’t bother to check his cards and directly threw out a playing card on the table. “The 4 of hearts.”
Kylie secretly checked those cards which had been pressed by Ethan, then gave him a thumbs-up.
He knew what Stephen was going to do.
Kylie bit her lips and played a random card.
Fannie asked William, “What should I do now?”
William glanced around the table, then said, “The 3 of spades are safe.” Hearing that, Fannie followed his advice.
Seeing the 3 of spades, Kylie’s eyes lit up, and played a card. “Ha-ha, it’s exactly what I want.”
Nate beamed as well. “Kylie, I don’t think so.”
Fannie was growingly confused about the game. She turned to look at William, but William didn’t know what to do now either.
Stephen, who was as stable as always, stayed calm.
“Come on, play a card!” Dinah urged Stephen.
Stephen thought for a short while, then played a card.
“Great, we win,” Ethan said all of a sudden, which surprised everyone around the table.
“What?” Kylie was struck dumbfounded for a second. Seeing everyone staring at her, she flipped those cards which had been pressed down by Ethan one by one and made them face up.
Although they weren’t in order, Kylie really won this round with them!
“Jesus, you’re so smart!” Kylie kissed Ethan’s cheek with excitement.
Right at this moment, Dora teased Stephen. “Well, I think you meet a great match today.”
“How do you know what they are going to play?” Kylie asked Ethan in a low voice by his ear.
Ethan smiled but didn’t say anything. He can’t tell Kylie that he can read the human mind. That is one of the inner powers he possessed, being a hybrid alpha-vampire.
He could know what they had in their hands according to the cards they played. Stephen sat silently and said nothing because he knew Ethan’s nature.
Another round soon began, and Nate said, “Kylie, I have to say you’re really lucky today.” He was unwilling to accept the failure.
“Don’t people often say that they are lucky at cards, unlucky in love? Why can Kylie still win money when she’s so happy in love now?” Fannie said.
“The game just began, and it’s too early to say that.” Dinah interrupted.
“You’re right, and I’ think I’ll be lucky today!” Fannie said.
“Does it mean you’re unlucky in love?” William had a sharp mind.
“I…” Fannie subconsciously glanced at Nate, and Nate was staring straight at her and sending a warning sign not to be mistaken and blurted out something that will lead their secret to be revealed.
When she met his eyes, she turned her head away at once. “I’m already 23 this year. It’s very normal if I’m dating someone.”
“Sure.” Dinah nodded. “But I think it’s abnormal if you’re unlucky in love.”
Fannie licked her lips with embarrassment. “Forget it. It’s not important. Who is the next one to play the card?”
Everyone’s attention was on the cards, so nobody thought further about what Fannie just had said. She secretly gave Nate another glance, then focused on her cards.
Dora, instead, noticed the strange chemistry between Nate and Fannie.
Therefore, after Nate sorted his cards well, she said loudly with a smile on the face, “Nate, both Stephen and Ethan are married now. How about you?”
Nate’s hands trembled a little, then soon calmed himself down. “Marriage is the gave of love, and I don’t want to lie in a grave. I still have lots of things to do in life,”
Fannie, who was hearing Nate’s answer, felt annoyed. She blurted out her opinion, “Well, I think he is just a coward and won’t be responsible enough to face any obligation,”
The atmosphere became tense, and the room fell into silence. Ethan snapped his finger to remove the tension, “Okay enough for this kind of insignificant topic, continue with the game,”
Kylie looked up and gave him a light kiss to his lips, “Honey, you’re the most loving man in the world,”
“Sure, and you’ll lie bare in the open,” Stephen said lightly.
Nate was annoyed and glared at Stephen.
“Why don’t you mind your own business, Doctor Stephen,” The sarcastic tone added to Nate’s remark.
Dinah approaches Stephen’s hand and gently clasps it, signaling him to stop arguing with Nate. Understanding Dinah’s meaning, Stephen retreated and didn’t reply anymore.
Everyone returns to their focus on its respective cards, aiming to win the game.
Chapter 418: Let Me Alone
Within a short time, Kylie won again.
Nate, however, lost another round.
“Dora, replace me to play the next round. I need to use the men’s room,” Nate abandoned his cards on the table.
“No problem, but no matter I win or lose, it’s on you,” Dora said, and sat down.
“Sure,” Nate said, then ran outside at once.
William exchanged a knowing eye with Dora and said on purpose, “Isn’t there a washroom in the private room? Why did he run outside?”
“He’s drunk a lot,” Dinah joined them. “I think he probably is drunk now.”
“Ha-ha, it’s possible that he went out to call a girl,” Dora said. “Come on, let’s keep on playing.”
Fannie was struck dumb for a second, then randomly played a card, which was a very important playing card for her.
“Fannie!” William raised his voice. “You can’t play this card right now.”
“Um…” Fannie licked her lips again with embarrassment, then stood up. “William, why don’t you replace me? I need to use the ladies’ room.”
The door was closed behind them, and William said, “I think there is something unusual between the brother and sister today.”
“Even you can notice it, but Nate himself can’t,” Dora snorted.
Kylie turned to look at Ethan, but her head was gently pushed back by him. “Focus on your cards.”
“Aren’t you worried about them?” Kylie asked.
“Well, I care more about how to help them be together.” There was a light smile on Ethan’s lips.

Nate indeed was a little drunk today.
He ran out of Royal Private Club and stumbled to his car. He leaned against it and had a long breath out.
He felt his head was so heavy now and he barely could lift it up.
“Damn it!” Nate walked to the back of his car and unzipped his pants to pee.
Just when he was urinating, he heard Fannie calling him.
“Nate?”
“Nate?”
“Where are you?” Fannie called his name, walking towards his car.
Before long, she saw a water line on the ground and smelt something stinky. Fannie pinched her nose and slowly turned to the back of the car.
Nate was surprised and put on his pants at once.
“Nate!” Fannie’s loud voice scared Nate. He turned to face her and complained. “Stop yelling. I’m not deaf.”
“What’s wrong with you? Why did you pee in a public place?”
Fannie pulled his arm. “Come on, let me send you home.”
When Nate pressed his whole body on Fannie, they almost fell together. Luckily, the car was right by their side, and Fannie used her full force to push him into it.
“Why do you have to drink so much!” Fannie said and started the car.
Nate put the chair down and laid his feet on the car window. “I’m happy today!”
“You’re happy that you’ve lost that much money today? You’re crazy,” Fannie said and moved her sight to the front road.
Nate stared at her profile. “Did you just break up with someone?”
“Kinda,” Fannie said lightly.
“Tell me, who is he? I’ll teach him a lesson for you!” Nate seemed mad. “You’re my younger sister, and you’re the best girl in this world!”
“Nate, I can deal with it myself.” Fannie sounded a little tough, which upset Nate.
He struggled to sit up and stared at Fannie. “Bullshit, you’re my younger sister, and I should take good care of you.” After that, he poked Fannie’s shoulder with his finger.
Fannie made a sound of pain. “You can’t take care of me forever. Let me alone!”
Nate was struck dumb for a second and turned his head to see the outside of the car window after gazing into space for a long time.
He said like he was talking to himself, “You’re right. I can’t take care of you f*ck forever!” He raised his voice all of a sudden and punched the car window with great force.
Hearing the loud sound, Fannie was a little scared. Just when she turned to check the sound, the car made a swift turn on the road, and a fast-moving car behind them almost hit them.
“Are you crazy or something?” Fannie stopped the car at the roadside and shouted at him.
“I am f*ck crazy!” Nate unfastened the safety belt and got out of the car without delay.
There were deep gullies at the sides of this highway. Fannie was anxious that he might fall down in it.
Although Nate was drunk, he still walked fast and stepped right on the edge of a gully. Fannie, instead, was too scared to pull him back.
“Come here right now!” Fannie shouted at him in anxiety. “Fine, I’ll listen to you, and I’ll do whatever you ask me to do during my lifetime, alright?”
Nate finally stopped, but his body trembled a little. There was a broad smile on his face, and he said, “What? Say that again.”
“I said you’re my older brother, and I’ll listen to you. I’ll do whatever you want me to do! Come here right now! It’s too dangerous if you stand there!” Fannie repeated her words and approached him at a slow pace.
“Then tell me who dumped you?” Nate shook his hand to stop her from walking near.
“Tell me, and I go over myself.”
“He’s not important.”
“Didn’t you say you’ll listen to me?”
“Yeah, yeah,” Fannie said at once. “Well, he didn’t dump me actually, but he doesn’t know that I like him.”
“You admire him from afar? Why don’t you tell him?” Nate’s heart ached for her.
“I don’t think I deserve him.” Fannie licked her lips and added, “He’s very handsome, popular, and an outstanding manager of a company, but I’m merely nobody.”
“Nonsense!” Nate raised his voice. “You’re my younger sister, and you’re the best girl that I’ve ever seen in this world. Whoever he is, he must be stupid if he dislikes you.”
Hearing that, Fannie blurted it out. “Do you like me?”
Nate was struck dumb, standing there still. “I…”
Seeing that, Fannie felt like a dagger had just been stabbed into her heart.
She felt like crying and raised a smile. “Nate, if you want to enjoy the night and wind, enjoy it yourself. I need to go back to the car.” After that, she turned and faced him with her back at once, in case Nate saw her crying.

Large drops of tears fell down from her face, and Fannie sped up, walking back to the car, but she somehow heard someone saying something behind her back.

Seeing Fannie walking faster and faster away, he suddenly had a strong fear, like Fannie would leave him forever.
He shouted it out loud without hesitation, “I like you. Fannie, I like you!”
Chapter 419: Felt Aggrieved
With a loud sound, the car door was closed. Nate didn’t get his mind back until the car was started and moved ahead.
He ran to it as fast as he could.
“Stop it! Stop it right now!” he shouted. Fannie was too sad to hear his confession of love just then. She wiped her eyes and noticed Nate, who was running to her in the rear-view mirror. Without hesitation, she slammed on the accelerator.
“Do you have to chase me for the car?”
She understood Nate didn’t like her, or he wouldn’t have set her up with different men. He treated her very well just because her mother had done his family a great favor many years ago. Nate chased the car behind for a while, then gave up.
Seeing the taillights disappearing in his sight, Nate felt like vomiting.
“F*ck!” Nate swore. “Exercises are really important. I feel like I’m dying now after running for just a short distance.”
He searched in his pocket, but his phone, as well as wallet, were left in the car.
It was past 10 pm in late autumn, and there were few pedestrians on the road, especially on a highway.
Nate, who was still drunk, stood in the middle of the road, and he tried to stop a car for a lift three times in vain.
In the end, he felt cornered and hit a nearby patrol kiosk with a brick.
Within three minutes, he heard a police siren moving near from afar.
Ethan later received a phone call from the police station and went to bail Nate out with Kylie.
“Lord Ethan, I’m so sorry to bother you in the middle of the night…” A policeman followed Ethan behind. “He’s drunk, and also has destroyed public property. We can’t let him go if no one bails him out.”
“Did he attack the police?” Ethan strode ahead.
“No, he didn’t.”
When the police car arrived, Nate didn’t have any attempt to escape at all but reached out his hands with a smile for handcuffs.
“He’s not fully drunk,” Ethan snorted and squeezed Kylie’s hand a little. “Do you feel cold? Why don’t you wait in the car?”
“I’m fine. Let’s bail Nate out first,” Kylie said and adjusted her coat. It indeed was a little cold in the night.
The policeman glanced at Kylie a few times, then recognized her.
“Are you the blind girl in a Dangerous World? I’ve watched the film three times!” He beamed. If he hadn’t been wearing a police uniform in a police station, he would have asked her for her signature.
Hearing that, Ethan gave him a cold glance.
The policeman immediately put on a serious face. “He’s here, and you can take him away after finishing the legal procedure.”
Kylie looked into the iron bars and laughed. “Nate, you like a drowned rat now, ha-ha.”
Hearing Kylie’s voice, Nate sat up from the wood bed at once and complained. “Fannie was crazy, and she dumped me halfway. I left my wallet and phone in the car…” He stopped for a second, then said with pride, “Anyway, I managed to leave the highway and find a safe place.”
Kylie, instead, pretended that she didn’t believe it. “How is it possible? Fannie was worried that you’re too drunk, so she ran out to find you before we finished playing cards. I don’t believe she would abandon you halfway. I think you must have said something that annoyed her.”
Nate felt aggrieved.
He told Fannie that he liked her. If that annoyed her, he honestly didn’t know what he should say.
“Um, Ethan, get me out of here now.” Nate rubbed his stomach. “I’m starving.”
Seeing Ethan walking away to finish the legal procedure, Nate waved his hand to tell Kylie to walk closer.
“What?” Kylie stepped to him and leaned against the iron bars.
“What Ethan normally says to make you happy?” Nate asked all of a sudden.
Kylie understood he wanted to learn from them to make Fannie feel better afterward, so she said on purpose, “Well, you know Ethan isn’t talkative at all, so he seldom says sweet words to me, but…”
Kylie smiled. “He sometimes sends me a diamond or a house or invests in a film to help me be famous. That’s it.”
“That’s it? And you’re happy with it?” Nate couldn’t believe it. He didn’t expect Kylie loved money so much.
However, he didn’t dare criticize her because she was the apple of Ethan’s eye.
“Nothing else?” Nate asked with doubt.
“Nope.” Kylie smiled again. “Um, I think you must be sure what kind of girl she is before you take action to make her happy. Why don’t you tell me who she is, and I can help you then?”
“Can you?” Nate pulled his lips with disdain.
“I can have a try,” Kylie said.
Nate thought it wasn’t a bad idea. Kylie was a woman, after all, so she must know women well.
“Well, the thing is.” Nate leaned on the iron bars. “I have a female friend. We’re just friends. Nothing else…”
“Stop explaining. Just hit the point!” Kylie urged him.
“She just broke up with someone, and I want to cheer her up,” Nate said.
“Fannie?” Kylie stared at him.
Nate felt embarrassed and licked his lips. “Yeah. She is still a young girl, and knows nothing about love.”
Kylie laughed. “Do you know what’s love?”
“I…” Nate blushed and stammered, “I don’t care about that. I’m not dumb to give up a forest just for a single tree.”
Kylie nodded. Seeing Ethan walking to them, she smiled and held his hand. “Nate just said that you’re dumb.”
Hearing that, Nate was struck dumb.
Ethan abandoned all the rest fishes in the sea just for one, and not many men were able to do that.
Nate shook his hand with a broad smile on his face. “Ethan, have you finished the legal procedure?”
Ethan snorted and hugged Kylie in his arms, walking outside.
Nate didn’t get the answer he wanted, and panicked. “Ethan, I was just joking. I don’t have the nerve to say you’re dumb.”
“You can leave now, but remember not to do that again, understand?” a policeman said.
“Sure, sure, open the door right now, please,” Nate said.
Seeing Nate coming out, Kylie said to Ethan in a low voice, “How is it?”
Ethan smiled. “I’ve arranged everything well.”
Nate followed them up at once and jumped on the Knight XV before it was started. “Ethan, if you have something else to do with Kylie, give me 100 dollars, and I can take a taxi home.”
“Honey, it’s very late now. Let’s send him home,” Kylie said.
“Thank you, Kylie!” Nate said to please her without delay.
Just when the car left the police station, Kylie’s phone rang. After she answered the call, Kylie seemed shocked and sad within a second.
“Central Hospital? Sure, we’ll be right there.” Kylie soon hung up, then turned to look at Nate, who was sitting behind.
“Fannie is in a very dangerous situation now, and the hospital can’t get through to you!”
Chapter 420: It’s All My Fault
“What happened?” Nate was anxious.
Ethan glanced at him, then moved Nate’s hand away from Kylie’s. “You hurt her.”
Nate lost his patience. “What has happened to Fannie?”
Kylie patted Ethan’s hand. “Let’s go. We can talk about it on the way.” Ethan nodded, then started the car moving fast to the hospital.
On the way, Kylie explained to Nate. “The doctor said she was in a bad mood and drove too fast, then hit a big truck stopped by the roadside.”
Knowing that Nate knocked his head with his hand. “It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t annoyed her, she wouldn’t have hit the truck!”
Kylie comforted Nate. “Don’t panic right now. Probably Fannie just had some minor injuries.”
Nate pulled his hair with hands and lowered his head. “Please, God bless her…”
He mumbled to himself on the rear seats, and Kylie gently pinched Ethan’s arm at the front.
Ethan focused on the road and patted Kylie’s hand to comfort her.
Before Knight XV stopped steadily, Nate jumped out and ran into the hospital.
“Fannie? Fannie! Fannie!” He ran ahead. Once he saw a young girl, he would pull her near and see whether the girl was Fannie. The moment he found out the girl wasn’t Fannie, he would push the girl away.
A nurse tried to stop him but was also thrown away by him.
“Fannie, where are you, Fannie?” When Nate was about to rush into the operating room, a person caught his shoulder with great force. “Calm down!”
He turned and found out it was Stephen. “Where is Fannie?”
“She’s under the surgery now.” Stephen loosened his hand. “Relax. The surgeon went to the same medical school as me. He’s a very good doctor.”
“Surgery?” Nate was shocked, and his body trembled in fear. “What has happened to her? Why does she need surgery?”
“Her car rushed into the rear of the truck, and her spine was seriously damaged,” Stephen said with a serious face.
At this moment, Dinah ran to them with the payment slip. She stuffed it into Nate’s arms in anger. “What’s wrong with you? Fannie ran out to find you because she was worried about your safety, but you thought it was fine and let her drive home alone?”

“I’m worried about Fannie. How is she right now?” Kylie asked with anxiety.
Before Dinah could say something, the door of the operating room was open, and a doctor walked out from it. “Who’s the family of the injured?”
Hearing that, Nate ran to the Doctor and caught his collar. “How is Fannie?”
“Calm down!” The Doctor’s glasses were shaken off.
“Let him go!” Stephen snapped at Nate. “Couldn’t you calm yourself down?” Stephen walked to the Doctor and adjusted his collar. “Sorry. How is she right now?”
The Doctor pushed his glasses on and looked at Stephen. “She’s losing a large amount of blood, and needs a blood transfusion.”
“Do it right now!” Dinah interrupted.
“Her blood type is rare Rh-negative trait, and our blood bank doesn’t have it now,” the Doctor said, and everyone was struck dumb.
After a while, Kylie ran to the Doctor and rolled her sleeve up. “My blood type is O type. Isn’t O type compatible with all types? Use my blood!”
Stephen pressed her arm down and explained with patience. “Rh-negative trait needs the same type of blood.”
“What can we do now?” There were tears in Kylie’s eyes. “We can’t see Fannie dying right in front of our eyes.”
Hearing their talk, Nate’s mind went blank. He stood there still and was pushed aside by Dinah, then was pushed back by Kylie.
All of a sudden, Kylie thought of something and pulled Nate over. “Nate, Fannie is your younger sister. You were so worried about her in the car. Why don’t you say something right now?”
“Are you unwilling to transfer some of your blood to Fannie’s body?” Dinah said.
Nate had mixed emotions. He glanced at Stephen, then looked at Ethan.
Ethan took a step forward and explained. “Don’t get Nate wrong. He, of course, is willing to do anything to save Fannie’s life.”
Seeing that, the Doctor said, “Stephen, that’s all I can say. If we can’t have enough blood of the same type right now, the girl may soon lose consciousness, and then…”
Right at this moment, a nurse ran out in a hurry. “Doctor, please come in to have a check. She’s in a state of shock now!”
Hearing that, the Doctor turned around and walked into the operating room again with the nurse.

“He’s leaning against the wall in silence,” Kylie said. “I think we should urge him to do something.”
“No problem,” Dinah said, then let Kylie go. She pulled Stephen’s hand and said,
“Stephen, you’re a doctor, and you know many people in the hospitals. Could you contact other hospitals for the blood?”
Kylie also held Ethan’s hand. “Honey, you know many powerful people, could you do something to find the blood?”
The moment Kylie finished the sentence, an idea dawned on Nate, and his eyes lit up at once.
“I know who has the same blood type!” Nate said and ran outside without delay, then soon turned back to Ethan. “Give me the car key!”
When Ethan just took out the car key, Nate grabbed it away.
Knight XV was as heavy as a tank, but Nate drove it like a plane.
He dashed home and directly ran to his mother’s room. “Mom, go with me!”
Mrs. Bass already lay down on the bed and didn’t know what had happened when Nate pulled her up. “What happened?”
“Fannie is in a very dangerous situation now, and she needs blood!” Nate said.
Hearing that, Mrs. Bass’s face became cold. “You know Fannie’s position in our family better than me.”
Nate held his mother’s hand. “Mom, Fannie was caught by a car accident because of me, and she needs blood transfusion right now. Please, her mother has saved your life, and now you can save hers!”
Saying that Nate knelt down before Mrs. Bass.
