Ch. 476..480: Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire Chapter 476-480

Chapter 476: I’ve Given You many Chances

“Do you feel better now?” Kylie turned to hug Ethan’s neck lying on the bed.

Ethan still looked unhappy. “I just want to defend my mother.”

Kylie understood it. She would do everything to protect her own mother as well.

“Ethan.” Kylie’s voice was very tender. “No matter how you’re going to pay Adolph back, he deserves it.”

“As for Agnes, I don’t know whether she’s the mastermind, but I do know she’s a key factor in it, but…”

Ethan raised his hand to smooth her hair with a pair of growingly cold eyes. He already knew what Kylie was going to say because he can read her mind. However, Kylie lowered her head and didn’t notice Ethan’s breath became heavier now. “Stephen is innocent.

He didn’t join it, nor know anything about it… “Ouch!”

Ethan’s fingers pulled her hair a little. She didn’t look at him until now.

Kylie got nervous. She hadn’t seen Ethan being so cold for a long time. “Ethan…”

“Go on.” Ethan’s face remained expressionless. “Tell me whatever you want to tell aloud.”

“I…” Kylie opened her mouth but didn’t know how to continue.

“Stephen probably wasn’t filled in. Probably he liked Dinah before, so he married her. Probably he really gave you up at a certain moment and became your private doctor. Probably… you’ve liked him.”

Ethan finished his sentences within a breath. Kylie, instead, was struck dumb.

His heart was pounding fast.

He never liked Stephen being so close to Kylie, but he tolerated it because he loved Kylie. Now, he had enough.

“Ethan, it’s not what you think.” Kylie wanted to explain it, but Ethan sat up at once. He moved Kylie off his body and said coldly, “Have some sleep. I need to deal with some documents.”

After that, he left the room without stopping for a second.

Kylie felt like crying and stayed awake on the bed. Once she heard footsteps from the passage, she would sit up, staring at the door.

Ethan was absent the whole night.

The door of their bedroom wasn’t lightly pushed open until daybreak.

Ethan stood at the door, looking at the girl who felt unsafe curling up on the bed.

He squinted, then stepped backward.

Pupu was shaking its tail beside him.

“Go, keep her company. She needed you now, I need to deal with something,” Ethan lowered his body and rubbed Pupu’s furry neck.

The door was pushed open a small gap, and Pupu squeezed itself inside through it.

The second Ethan closed the door, his eyes became cold.

Stephen, I’ve given you many chances, but you still want to dig your own grave! I will not let you pass this time! You’ve done so many failures, and I am a fool trusting you like my own brother!

Ethan transformed himself into his original form and quickly disappeared in a split second.

Kylie woke up past 10 am. She wanted to hug the man who always lay by her side, but there was only a dog in her arms.

“Pupu?” Kylie opened her eyes. She raised a smile. “How did you get in here?”

Pupu shook its tail. When it approached to lick her face, Kylie pushed it away.

After breakfast, Ethan was still absent. Kylie felt sad and looked upset when she went to work in the set.

Kate smiled and patted her shoulder. “You really devote yourself to the role. Your husband just cheated on you, and you’re in a bad mood now.”

Kylie put on a wry smile. “Ms. Green, is there no Ben’s part today? I didn’t see him.”

“He’ll join us again tomorrow. What? Are you missing your son?” Kate asked.

“Kinda.” Kylie smiled.

In the following scenes, Kylie didn’t play well. She often forgot her lines or said the wrong words. The director told her to relax for a while, then began to shoot James and Elizabeth’s part.

Fannie covered Kylie with a thick coat. “Did you have an argument with Ethan?” she asked with concern.

“Isn’t it obvious enough?” Kylie said.

“No way! You really argued with Ethan?” Fannie was surprised. “Tell me more details.”

Kylie sighed. When she was about to say something, her phone made a sound. Fannie took it from the pocket. “A new message for you from Twitter.”

Kylie thought it was sent by Ethan, so she caught the phone in a hurry, but it turned out Ben was the sender.

Ben: Mom, what are you doing now?

Kylie: Shooting in the set. And you?

Ben: Didn’t you agree to dine with us last time?” Reading the message,

Kylie thought for a while. She wasn’t in the mood to shoot after all. Why couldn’t she have a day off?

Kylie: Sure, where?

Ten seconds later, Ben sent her his location. He was in the most luxurious hotel in Seattle right now.

“Are you sure you’re going there?” Fannie was a little worried. “I can call Nate if you want, and he can wait for you nearby.”

Kylie stopped Fannie at once. “I’m just going to dine with a kid. It’s fine.”

She and Ethan were in a stalemate now. If Nate learned it, Ethan soon would know it too.

Kylie thought it was better for her to avoid trouble.

“Why don’t you have a day off as well? You can go back home to meet Nate,” Kylie said, then went to ask the director for a leave.

The executive director was very satisfied with Kylie’s previous performance, so he agreed with enthusiasm.

Fannie then drove Kylie to the hotel before she left.

Kylie called Ben after she entered the hotel. Three minutes later, Ben ran out of an elevator. “Mom!”

“Hi, my little boy, do you miss me?” Kylie squatted and hugged Ben.

“Yeah.” Ben kissed Kylie’s cheek, then beamed. “Let’s go. I’ll introduce my father to you.”

“Your father is here too?” Kylie followed him, walking into the elevator.

“Yes, he comes here to settle a deal.” Ben held Kylie’s hand all the time. “Mom, did you win the game last time? When will it be aired on the TV?”

“I did, and you can watch the show this Saturday.” Kylie held Ben’s hand, dreaming that she would hold her own kids’ hands one day in the future.

It must be a beautiful scene. She thought to herself.

The waiter who stood by the door of the private room pushed the door open for them.

The moment Ben walked inside, he introduced Kylie in a loud voice without caring that there were other guests in the room.

“My mom is here!”

Chapter 477: Stay Here

The large private room fell into dead silence within a second.

Kylie moved a step forward and felt quite stressed.

She gave a glance at the round table. Everyone was staring straight at her now.

Among all the looks, only one look from a certain direction was threatening.

Kylie didn’t dare raise her head and felt utterly regretful that she hadn’t asked Ben clearly. If she had known his father was dining with business partners, she wouldn’t have agreed to join them.

Tory, who sat on the master’s seat, was surprised to see Kylie.

Is she Ben’s mother in the show?

Kylie was wearing a purple sweater and black wool shirt today. It was her daily look, which was even more attractive in Tory’s eyes than those formal dresses.

Especially when he saw Kylie feeling a little shy, his heart lost a beat.

Tory then gave Nina, who stood behind him, a glance. Nina was unwilling to do that, but she had to move a chair and place it by his side.

“Would you mind?” Tory asked the man next to him.

“Of course not.” The second Kylie heard the familiar husky voice, she ached to leave this room right away.

However, when she was about to make an excuse, Ethan said to her with a smile, “It’s my honor to meet Miss Finch today.”

Kylie couldn’t leave now and had to sit between Tory and Ethan.

She hadn’t seen Ethan for a whole day, but they ran into each other at a business dinner!

Seeing Kylie sitting between his father and a stranger, Ben was a little unhappy and pouted.

Tory quietly asked him in Italian, “What did you just call her?”

“My mom,” Ben answered in Italian too.

“Shouldn’t mom sit with dad?” Tory said.

Ben thought for a while, then nodded. Afterward, he reached out his neck as far as he could to talk to Kylie. “Mom, please help yourself. Just take here as our own home.”

Kylie supported her forehead with one hand and her long hair covered half of her face.

“I’ll explain it to you when we’re back,” she said to Ethan in a low voice.

“What did you say?” Ethan raised his voice on purpose.

Kylie felt awkward, then straightened her body, smiling at the people around the table.

When her sight fell on Tory at the end, she was greatly surprised. “Tory?”

Nina changed her face at this moment.

Several senior managers by Tory’s side were also confused and started to discuss in a quiet voice.

Tory helped Kylie spread the napkin well with a gentle smile on his face. “I think fate brings us here.”

Kylie didn’t understand Italian, but Ethan did.

He now was more displeased than ever.

Kylie was a little scared and moved her chair a little near to Tory.

Her small movement annoyed Ethan, but Tory seemed to enjoy it.

He asked Kylie politely as a well-educated gentleman, “What would you like to have?

Please feel free to order whatever you want.”

“Oh, it’s fine, thanks,” Kylie said.

Tory beamed, then turned to Ben. “Why don’t you hang out for fun with mom after dinner?”

“Yay!” Ben applauded with happiness.

“Miss Finch, aren’t you busy today?” Ethan put his knife and fork down, then leaned on the back of his chair.

Kylie wore an embarrassed smile. She reached out her hand to pull Ethan’s under the table, but Ethan avoided it.

“I’m sorry. I am very busy today.” She could only apologize to Tory.

Ben looked upset in an instant, using his fork to pierce a piece of meat on his plate repeatedly.

Tory didn’t embarrass Kylie further and comforted Ben. “We can do that the next time. Mom is busy today, Ben.”

Ben was a little in awe of Tory, so he nodded and agreed.

Tory also sensed Kylie had a special relationship with Ethan. He looked to Ethan afterward. “Mr. Parker, please think twice about our cooperation this time.”

As for the acquisition of the land, Tory was willing to pay 50% for it. In addition, he would be fully responsible for the construction of the large building on it. Once the construction was done, he would send half of it to Ethan as the headquarters of Century Group.

It would not harm Century Group, and they could benefit a lot from the deal.

Ethan, however, disagreed right away because he failed to get any useful information about Tory. He was worried that Tory came to Seattle to do money laundering.

Most importantly, Tory appeared when a magical pill abounded, which was bad timing.

Nevertheless, Ethan was a businessman after all, and he should make sure that his company was earning money. As long as it was a profitable deal, there was no reason for him to reject it.

In fact, it was likely that he was going to cooperate with Tory, but he changed his mind the second Kylie walked inside.

Therefore, Ethan pulled his lips and looked at Tory with disdain. “Sorry I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed.”

It was the first time that Tory had been turned down in front of so many people. He had no intention to make money by this cooperation with Ethan, but he simply wanted to join the market in Seattle.

Kylie was sitting right between them, and Tory felt humiliated.

With a loud sound, Tory threw his fork onto the table. “Mr. Parker, please consider it well before you make your decision.”

“No,” Ethan said a simple word.

Seeing that people sitting by Tory’s other side were all displeased now, Kylie stood up at once.

“Relax, everyone, we can still talk about it.” She turned to smile at Ethan. “Mr. Parker, you will consider it, right?”

She thought Ethan would agree for the sake of her, but the man replied in an aggressive tone, “Who do you think you are?”

What? Kylie almost wanted to punch him. Her husband obviously showed his jealous behavior.

Those senior managers sitting by Ethan’s other side were all confused. They only had heard that Chairman Parker only loved and spoiled one woman, but they knew nothing about her.

This woman in front of their eyes was a famous actress, but she was merely nobody before Chairman Parker. How dared she to challenge him?

“Mom,” Ben opened his mouth all of a sudden. “Can you go to the washroom with me?”

Ben was just a little boy, and he was slightly scared by the tense atmosphere in the room.

“Sure.” Kylie walked to him, but Ethan stopped her. “Stay here.”

Chapter 478: Why Don’t You Admit That I’m Your Wife?

Kylie turned back to glare at him. Ethan smiled but looked mad. “Answer my question.”

Tory also stared at Kylie. It seemed he was curious about Kylie’s answer too. The moment Kylie entered this room, he noticed Ethan’s unusual reaction.

Kylie glanced at the people around the table, then her sight fell on Ben’s face at the end.

She smiled at him with guilt before she explained to others in a loud voice. “I’m so sorry. This is Mr. Parker, and he’s my husband.”

Once she finished her sentences, a senior manager sitting by Ethan’s other side stood up. “Miss, please mind your language.” He looked quite serious. “Chairman Parker is already married, and Mrs. Parker is his love.”

“Right, please take your words back,” another senior manager said.”

Kylie clenched her fists, looking at Ethan, but he wouldn’t help her out.

“I just heard the little boy call you, mom.” Ethan squinted at Kylie.

Tory smiled, turned to look at Ben, who had no idea what was going on now. “Do you want her to be your mom forever?” Tory asked him in a quiet voice rubbing his hair.

“Will it happen?” Ben asked with a serious face.

Tory didn’t answer his question, but said to Kylie, “Since my son is also your son, I think our relationship is very clear.”

“Tory!” Kylie was anxious. It was such a mess now.

“Ethan, if you don’t admit that I’m your wife now, I’ll leave right away!” Kylie glared at Ethan again.

As long as he admitted it, the problem would be solved.

However, Ethan refused to do so. “You came here not because of me.”

“I-I didn’t know you’re here as well,” Kylie said in a mild panic.

“Of course you didn’t know. If you had known that, you wouldn’t have come here.” Ethan stood up and threw the napkin to the dining table, then walked away without hesitation.

Seeing their boss leaving, those senior managers all left. Tory gave his people a look, and they soon stepped out of this private room.

Within seconds, there were only three of them left around this large dining table.

“I’m so sorry that I’ve ruined your deal,” Kylie said, feeling awkward.

“It’s not your fault.” Tory patted the chair next to him. “Have a seat. We can dine together as a family.”

“Tory, please don’t misunderstand it. Ben is my son only in the show.” Kylie explained.

“Well, it’s totally fine if you want to be his mother in real life.” Tory pushed a plate of meat to the front of Ben. Ben picked a small piece of it, and ate it up, then looked at Kylie with his pair of big cute bright eyes.

Kylie was worried that Ethan walked too far away, so she excused herself in a hurry. “I’m sorry. I gotta go now.” After that, she ran outside.

At the corner of the passage, Ethan was waiting for the elevator along with a bunch of people around him. Someone heard her footsteps and reported it to Ethan.

He didn’t turn around at all but directly walked into the elevator once it arrived.

“Hey, Ethan!” Kylie called him behind.

Those senior managers stepped into the elevator one by one. When the door of the elevator was about to fully close, Kylie dashed over, and it opened again.

Ethan strode out and said to his back. “You can go downstairs before me.”

The door closed, and the elevator moved down. Kylie pulled Ethan’s hand. “Why didn’t you admit that I’m your wife?”

Ethan didn’t draw his hand back, but said in a cold tone, “Because you became the mother of another man’s son right in front of my eyes.”

“Ben is just a kid,” Kylie argued.

“Sure.” Ethan nodded. “Probably, you just like to be the mother of another man’s child.”

“Ethan, I understand if you’re jealous of Stephen, but don’t you think it’s too much if you’re jealous of Ben?” Kylie thought she had done nothing wrong today.

“You think I’m just being jealous?” Ethan cocked his eyebrow.

Kylie looked at the man standing in front of her. She somehow felt he looked so strange.

It was so painful that Ethan kept a distance away from her on purpose now.

“Ethan, can we talk?” Kylie softened her voice.

“I need to work now, and we can talk when we’re home.” Ethan drew his hand back and put it into his pants pocket. He moved his eyes away from Kylie’s face to the door of the elevator.

Kylie couldn’t see that he clenched his hand into a tight fist.

Tory appeared out of the blue, and he approached Kylie for a reason.

Tory must want to achieve more than just join the market in Seattle.

The elevator was late, and Ethan hated being in the stalemate against Kylie.

He was afraid he would lose control of himself and couldn’t help but press Kylie to his chest.

He wanted to tell her to stay away from Tory and stop shooting, but he also knew it was impossible.

At short notice, Ethan turned and strode into a fire exit.

Seeing his cold back leaving in her sight, Kylie felt like crying.

When she just composed herself, her phone rang.

“Kylie, the test result is out. Everything is normal,” Stephen said.

“Thanks…” Kylie whimpered.

“Are you crying?” Stephen frowned.

Kylie covered her mouth not to make a sound, but large drops of tears kept falling down from her cheeks.

Ethan, who had cherished her more than anyone else before now, treated her so coldly. He even had refused to admit that she was his wife in a public place.

“Kylie, you’re pregnant now, and your emotional condition is also important,” Stephen said in a very gentle tone. “If the shooting is really tiring, I suggest you have a few days off.”

Kylie raised her head to stop tears from falling. “I’m fine. I-I’m just too devoted to my role in the show.” Kylie did her best to make herself sound relaxed.

“Oh, I’m relieved to hear that. I thought you and Ethan…” Stephen said, but Kylie interrupted him. “Nonsense! You know how much he has spoiled me.”

“Right.” Stephen laughed a little.

“Well, I’m afraid I need to hang up now. The director is calling me,” Kylie said and wiped her eyes.

When their call ended, Stephen heard a clear ding-dong sound. The elevator arrived. A touch of creepy coldness flashed by his eyes. He turned around, and the housekeeper reported. “Lord Stephen, Dinah is back.”

Chapter 479: Hatred Lasted Longer Than Love

Dinah sat on the sofa and caught its armrest, feeling a little nervous.

Once the door of the study opened, she stood up.

“Stephen…” Dinah knew Stephen might be tortured by the drug, but she didn’t expect that he would have such a big change. “You…”

Stephen walked up to her with a sneer on his lips. “This is all thanks to you.”

Dinah took a long breath and moved backward. The back of her knee hit the sofa, and she sank down.

She raised her head, looking at Stephen with her lips trembling. “I-I’m so-sorry.”

Stephen grabbed her wrist and pulled her up from the sofa. “Let’s go!”

“Where are we going?” Dinah was forced to follow him behind, walking outside.

“The Marriage License Bureau,” Stephen said with an expressionless face.

“No, I’m not going to be divorced!” Dinah threw Stephen’s hands-off, then hid to the back of the sofa. “No, please don’t divorce me.”

Stephen coldly stared at Dinah. “Then what do you want?”

“I-I’m going to give birth to your baby!” Dinah raised her voice all of a sudden. “I’ve already made a deal with your mother, and I must give birth to a baby from you.”

“It’s not going to happen.” Stephen shook his head.

Seeing Stephen coming to catch her, Dinah moved to the other side of the sofa. “It will! My period didn’t come this month. I-I probably is pregnant now!”

Hearing that, Stephen was in rage within a second.

It seemed to be a terrible humiliation in his eyes that Dinah was carrying his baby.

However, he calmed himself down the next second. Even his voice became much gentle. “Dinah, come here. I’m a doctor, and let me do a check of your body.”

“No!” Dinah shook her head with great force. “I must tell Agnes this news. She’ll protect this baby.”

After that, Dinah ran out of this house when Stephen wasn’t prepared.

Agnes, who was under the control of Stephen’s new medicine, got an order that she must keep Dinah staying with her until Stephen came to solve the problem in person.

Nevertheless, Dinah didn’t show up at all.

Kylie went back to the Finch family’s house herself and enjoyed the sunshine in the garden with Pupu in her arms. When the sun went down, Elliot called her and told her Ethan wouldn’t come home tonight because he was busy dealing with his work.

Kylie understood Ethan was avoiding her.

In a hidden rental house, Dinah told Ethan and Vincent the drug detoxification of Matthew.

“If we fail to develop serum, it’s impossible to help him get rid of it.” This was her final conclusion.

“How did Stephen manage to do that?” Ethan asked in a deep voice.

Dinah lowered her head and remained silent for a long while before she opened her mouth again. “He’s a doctor. He knew how to formulate different kinds of medicine as he did for us. We retain our human form because of him, remember that. Ah, I forgot, you’re different among us because you possessed the highest power in our packs. Lord Ethan find ways to solve this problem, I think you need to talk to Stephen,”

Vincent, who is currently listening to their conversation, was confused. “When did Stephen take a magical pill? Did he test the drug with his own body?”

Dinah glared at him, then turned to look at Ethan. ” Lord Ethan, I just got a piece of information. The dock at Seattle will ship goods out tomorrow at 10 pm.”

Ethan nodded. “Have you reported it to our leaders this time?”

“Yeah, and they’re very happy that you’ll join us this time,” Dinah said with a smile. “Oh, how’s Kylie now? Does she feel better?”

Ethan, instead, evaded her question. “Keep this action a secret from her.”

“Sure,” Dinah replied.

She shrugged to Vincent with her face full of envy.

Both Kylie and her were women, but Kylie’s husband did everything to protect her, while her husband couldn’t wait to divorce her.

“Did you leave to see Stephen?” Ethan asked all of a sudden.

“No, I didn’t.” Dinah denied it at once.

Ethan observed Dinah’s face but didn’t say another word. He knew she lied.

On a quiet late night.

The door of Kylie’s bedroom was lightly pushed open.

Moonlight cast Ethan’s long slim shadow on the floor. He did his best to make no sound walking to the bed, then knelt down before it.

The girl’s face looked a little pale in the moonlight, and her thick eyelashes trembled in anxiety. When his fingers were about to touch her face, he heard a whimper. “Ethan…”

Ethan stiffened a little. After making sure that she was just talking in her sleep, he gently moved her hair on her cheek to the back of her ear.

His eyes were full of love looking at his beloved woman, wife, and the mother of his babies. The blessing for them will carry his blood.

The action would begin tomorrow, and he must protect Kylie from any danger. He still had a secret that he hadn’t told her.

Although Kylie had told him that she and their babies were supportive, they were also obstacles in his way.

If his enemies found out he cared much about this woman, Kylie would be in a very dangerous situation. Besides, what he was going to do tomorrow was super risky. It was the most significant battle between his packs and those humans who did illegal business. His clans tried to live like a normal human in this human world. They carried tasks to help eliminate traffickers.

If he couldn’t come back to her side, he would rather want Kylie to hate him than miss him during her rest life.

Hatred lasted longer than love.

Kylie dreamed Ethan was hugging her and rubbed his jaw with stubble on her face, which was a little painful and itchy.

“Stop it.” She smiled and moved away, but Ethan approached near.

All of a sudden, she felt the coldness on her lips.

Ethan kissed her.

Kylie was so familiar with his taste, and she missed it so much that she couldn’t help but kiss him back. Ethan used his invisible power as he noticed Kylie was about to awake.

She got sexually excited and tried to hug Ethan’s neck with her arms, but she only caught air.

Kylie opened her eyes, seeing moonlight all over her empty bed. Loneliness ate her up in an instant.

She thought Ethan was back, but it turned out to be just a dream. Ethan quickly vanished in a split second to avoid seeing his wife’s loneliness. She was too sad to notice the door was opened a small gap.

Outside their bedroom, Ethan stood upright, staring at the girl who covered her head in her knees, crying on the bed. Although he could hear her whimpering his name, he couldn’t show up, and his heart ached.

He squinted, then strode away.

The next day, Kylie had a headache, so she asked for another day off.

Fannie came to take care of her, and read the news on her phone. “Look, after Vivian gave her role to Elizabeth, her new film is forbidden to be shown in theaters.”

“Why?” Kylie glanced at Fannie’s phone. Her eyes were still swollen.

“I heard it contains too many sexual acts and images,” Fannie sighed. “She ruins her career herself.”

“Are you sympathetic to Vivian?” Kylie asked, with her eyes closed.

“Nope, I have sympathy for Faith,” Fannie said. “Vivian already ended their contract, and Faith is jobless now.”

“Tell Lucas to send her some money, but don’t tell her it’s my idea,” Kylie said.

“Why do you still want to help her? She probably hates you most right now,” Fannie said.

“I don’t care,” Kylie replied.

Fannie went to give Lucas a call, as Kylie said, then went back. “Ethan is in the house right now. Why didn’t he come to see you?”

Chapter 480: I Love To Hear You Call Me Star

“Is he back?” Kylie abruptly opened her eyes.

“What do you mean? He’s always here,” Fannie said. “I saw him discussing something serious with several men when I came here, so I didn’t bother him.”

“I went to call Lucas just then, and he was standing alone in the garden. I don’t know what he’s thinking.”

“Oh.” Kylie lay down again and smoothed Pupu’s fur.

“Oh?” Fannie observed Kylie’s face, then pointed at her eyes, asking, “Don’t tell me you cried because of Ethan.”

“Of course not.” Kylie moved her eyes away. All of a sudden, she thought of something. “Fannie, why don’t you go out with me?”

“Now? Will Ethan agree?” Fannie asked.

Kylie thought to herself that Ethan didn’t care about her now, but she still replied, “He will. It’s something about him.”

Half an hour later, Fannie stopped the car at the dock of Seattle. Stephen, who was waiting for them, waved his hand.

“Stay here, and I’ll be right back,” Kylie said to Fannie, then lifted her collars up, walking towards Stephen in the ocean wind.

“Isn’t it cold?” Stephen took off the scarf around his neck and put it on Kylie’s.

“Why do you pick such a place?” Kylie covered her lower face with the scarf, and only her swollen eyes were bare in the air now.

“Didn’t you say that you want to meet at a place where Ethan can’t think of?” Stephen smiled.

Kylie pointed at a nearby pile of containers and said, “The wind isn’t blowing there. Let’s go and talk along the way.”

Stephen glanced at the direction. “Sure.”

After they walked ahead for a short distance, Kylie asked Stephen, “You found out Ethan is Adolph’s son a long time ago, right?”

Stephen pulled his lips. “Does Ethan send you here to ask me that question?”

“Nope, but I come here for him.” Kylie walked at a slow pace, and the ocean wind blew her hair to her face. “I just want to remind you that you two are biological brothers.”

“We aren’t anymore because of you.” Stephen looked at the waves. “Do you think Dinah can replace you? Let me be honest with you, it’s impossible.”

“Stephen…” Kylie felt a little sad.

“Please, I love to hear you call me Star.” Stephen almost begged.

Kylie sighed, “Star, please tell me Adolph’s condition.”

“You called me Star also for Ethan.” Stephen smiled and mocked himself. Afterward, he told Kylie the story.

Ever since he got to know Agnes was the cause of his mother’s death, he had made up his mind to take revenge. The first thing he needed to do was to know the couple and Agnes’s body condition so that he could find the easiest way to kill them.

Hearing that, Kylie was scared. Stephen looked gentle and kind to others, but he was ruthless in the heart. He had planned for nearly ten years for his revenge.

Stephen found out the fact that Ethan was Adolph’s biological son by accident.

He couldn’t believe it at the beginning, but the result of DNA paternity testing wouldn’t lie.

Stephen’s voice was calm and gentle all the time, and he didn’t sound jealous or angry at all.

“I know Adolph’s properties will be Ethan’s sooner or later, so I refused to take over his company.” Stephen guided Kylie to the back of those containers, and the wind did stop blowing.

“It was because of you that I wanted to try it. If I’m as successful as Ethan, will you choose me?”

Although Fannie was sitting in the car, she fixed her eyes on Kylie and Stephen, in case any accidents happened.

Seeing them walking to a place out of her sight, Fannie got anxious, then called Ethan.

Kylie touched the bracelet on her wrist, then looked at Stephen. “So, you stopped Dinah from telling the truth last time at Coco Resort?”

Stephen nodded. “I believe you haven’t told Ethan the truth yet, because he won’t forgive Adolph once he finds out what Adolph has done to his mother.”

“Well…” Kylie took off the scarf. “Should I keep it a secret forever or tell him the truth now?”

“Do you think you can keep it a secret from him?” Stephen smiled. Ethan would never forgive those who had hurt him.

Most importantly, if he was going to clear her mother’s name, he had to face Adolph.

Kylie nodded. She had the same idea. “How did you get here? Why don’t you leave with us?” She gave the scarf back to Stephen.

Stephen raised his hand and glanced at the time. “I need to wait for a friend. You can leave before me.”

He took the scarf but put it back on Kylie’s neck. “If you’re afraid Ethan will be mad at it, throw it away when you leave this dock.”

The more considerate Stephen was, the more guilty Kylie felt. “Star, Dinah, really…”

Before she could finish, Stephen stopped her. “Go back home now.”

Kylie turned around and walked faster and faster with her mouth covered in his scarf. Stephen’s gaze followed her. He fell in love with Kylie a long time ago when Ethan told him to guard her for a while while he was away. That was ten years ago, and he even created Star to help Kylie’s needs during her downfall while Ethan was battling against those who slaughtered his clan.

In the end, she ran away.

She couldn’t respond to Stephen’s love towards her, but she couldn’t pretend that she knew nothing about it either.

Fannie walked around the car in anxiety. Seeing Kylie running over, she stepped ahead to welcome her at once. “What happened? Did Stephen annoy you?”

Kylie shook her head and got in the car with Fannie. “Let’s go.”

“Do you get what you want?” Fannie asked.

“Yeah,” Kylie replied. She took off the scarf and put it away in her bag.

When she fastened the safety belt well, she found out the car was still stopped at the dock.

“Why don’t you start the car?” she asked Fannie with surprise.

“Ethan will be here in any second,” Fannie said.

“What?” Kylie was shocked.

“Fine, let’s go back now. The wind is too strong here. I’ll give him a call later.” Fannie turned her car and drove by a black Buick.

Stephen put his mask on, then walked out from the back of those containers. The second he saw Tory getting off the Buick, he strode over.

“Mr. Romeo, I do admire your courage of coming here alone,” Stephen said with a smile.

It was an unspoken agreement, and they didn’t shake hands with each other, but just stared straight at one another’s eyes.
