Chapter 481: Mr. Brown’s Codename Is Clown

Tory dumped the cigarette butt and put it out with a heavy step before he shook hands with Stephen. “Can I see the goods?”

“Sure.” Stephen took out a small delicate bottle from the pocket of his windbreaker.

“Well, no wonder why Mr. Brown’s codename is Clown. You’re very funny.” Tory smiled all of a sudden. “I pay so much money, not for Viagra.”

“It is as effective as Viagra, but it’s ten times more addictive than ice,” Stephen said with pride and threw the bottle to Tory.

He stopped for a second, then added, “I heard Italy has low moral standards for sex. Gays could be your target consumers.”

“I need to check it.” Tory held the small bottle and looked serious.

“There are two pills inside. They’re free, but…” Before Stephen could finish his sentence, they heard the loud engine sound of a car.

Both of them turned their heads at the same time. An armored ORV appeared on the beach and moved fast towards them.

“Mr. Romeo, don’t try it yourself. The antidote is still under research and development.” Stephen finished his sentences as fast as he could.

When Ethan received the call from Fannie, he was somewhere near the dock. He sped up, coming here but didn’t find Kylie and Fannie. Instead, he caught Tory talking with a man.

The position was exactly where Dinah had fought against Clown, so Ethan realized the two men must be trading drugs.

However, there were only two of them without any arms. It didn’t seem to be a drug deal.

Ethan didn’t get out of his car but observed them from the car window.

Tory waved his hand at Ethan, but said to Stephen, “I know him, and I can leave here safely. How about you?”

A touch of strong disdain flashed by Stephen’s eyes. “May I have a ride, Mr. Romeo?”

“No problem.” Tory pointed at his car with his head to tell Stephen to get in it.

Ethan still sat in his car, watching the man getting in Tory’s black Buick and leaving in his sight.

“Dinah, is Clown 5 feet 9 inches tall with a humpback, and weighs around 176 lbs?”

Once his call was answered, Ethan said the characteristics of the person he had just seen.

Dinah thought for a while, then replied. “The clown I saw is around 5 feet 9 inches tall, but he doesn’t have a humpback, nor fat.”

Ethan squinted. The person he has just seen must be Clown, but good at disguising.

When Fannie told him Kylie met Stephen at the dock to discuss something about him, he knew they must be talking about Adolph.

If strangers were meeting each other at the dock, it was abnormal that Clown met Tory here.

Ethan turned his car and chased the black Buick up.

Tory gave a glance at the rear-view mirror, then smiled. “It seems Mr. Brown has some trouble.”

Stephen stayed calm and wasn’t nervous at all. He pointed at a big truck stopped by the dock. “Open the sunroof when you drive by it.”

Hearing that, Tory frowned a little. Given Clown’s build, he couldn’t reach out a leg, let alone escape from the sunroof.

Drug dealers could be killed at any second, so every one of them was skilled at escaping.

Thinking of that, Tory sped up and opened the sunroof.

The big truck was 13 meters long, and his car could pass by it within just several seconds at a fast speed.

He was looking forward to seeing how Clown managed to escape from his car.

The moment Buick moved near to the head of the truck, Tory saw the fat Mr. Brown become a punctured balloon and moved through the sunroof like lightning.

A few seconds later, Buick passed by the truck, and there was only Tory alone in it now.

Tory slammed on the brakes at the next crossroads, then rolled down the car window looking at the Knight XV.

“Mr. Parker, do you want to talk about our cooperation with me? You’ve been chasing me along the way for a while,” Tory said with a smile.

Ethan, instead, looked cold. “Kind advice, Mr. Romeo. You better stay away from some business, which won’t do you any good.”

“Thanks, I will,” Tory said, then drove ahead.

Ethan was very sure that Clown already disappeared. He only knew one person who could safely escape within such a short time.

When Kylie went back to the Finch family’s house, she gave the scarf to Lucy. “Lucy, please help me clean it. I need to give it back to its owner.”

“No problem.” Lucy took it, then asked with hesitation, “Mrs. Parker, are you in a bad mood?”

“Nope, why?” Kylie smiled, pretending to be relaxed.

Lucy shook her head. “Only Mrs. Parker can affect Mr. Parker’s mood.” She licked her lips. “When I got up late last night to use the washroom. I saw Mr. Parker standing outside of your bedroom. He looked lonely.”

Kylie was struck dumb.

“Mrs. Parker, Mr. Parker, is much happier than before ever since you married him. No matter what he does, he does it for you. Please don’t blame him,” Lucy added, holding Kylie’s hand.

Kylie hugged Lucy with her jaw laid on Lucy’s shoulder. “Don’t worry. Even if he dumps me, I won’t leave him.”

“It’ll never happen!” Lucy said at once.

Kylie let Lucy go. She knew Ethan would question her about her meeting with Stephen once he was back, so she thought of an idea. “Lucy, please don’t prepare dinner for me. I’ll visit his mother and dine with her.”

“Will Mr. Parker go with you?” Lucy asked.

“If he comes back here, tell him I’ll stay there for a night,” Kylie said, then walked to her car.

She hadn’t driven it again after she was pregnant, but it was still in good condition.

The housekeeper quickly followed her up. “Mrs. Parker, do you want to drive it?”

“Can I?” Kylie looked at him.

“Um, the key is in Mr. Parker’s hand,” the housekeeper replied, lowering his head.

Kylie was surprised. “Why did he take the car key away?”

“Well, it’s Mr. Parker who’s maintaining it, and he just cleaned it this morning,” the housekeeper said.

Knowing it, Kylie didn’t know what to say.

Ethan must be doing something he didn’t want her to know, so he kept a distance away from her on purpose.

However, he stood at the door, looking at her every night. Probably he had secretly kissed her when she was in sleep!

Thinking of that, Kylie realized it wasn’t a dream, but Ethan had really been in the bedroom!

She was cheered up in an instant, and it was super easy for her to figure out what Ethan was busy dealing with now.

Therefore, she pretended to be annoyed, and said, “There must be more than one car in this house. I’m leaving!”

Chapter 482: It Is Him

The housekeeper didn’t dare argue against her and took out another car key at once. “Mrs. Parker, where are you going? May I drive you there?”

“I’m going to the Parker family’s house,” Kylie said.

***

After dinner, Kylie invited old Mrs. Parker to her room, then told old Mrs. Parker how Ethan had met Agnes.

“We tried to stop him from meeting Adolph, but didn’t expect he would see Agnes.” Kylie leaned on the back of the sofa.

“W-What does she look like now?” Old Mrs. Parker was anxious.

“She looks different from the photo,” Kylie said. “She was wearing a wig, and closely resembles you when you were young.”

Old Mrs. Parker smiled. “She’s always the love of our family members, while I’m always quiet.”

Kylie held Mrs. Parker’s hand and said, “Mother, I think you’re just too kind sometimes. Since Ethan already found out what has happened before, he must be determined to pay them back.”

“They’re father and son, after all.” Old Mrs. Parker shook her head with worry. “It’s unacceptable if the son beats the father.”

“He should be punished anyway,” Kylie said.

Old Mrs. Parker had a habit of sleeping early. When it was almost 9 pm, she asked Kylie, “Will you go back tonight?”

“Nope, I’ll stay here for a night, and we can have a walk tomorrow morning.” Kylie didn’t want to be a burden on Ethan.

If she stayed in the Parker family’s house, Ethan could focus on his task.

Old Mrs. Parker nodded, then went back to her room.

At this moment, Ethan was leading his teammates, waiting at the No. 1 dock of Seattle.

Dinah gave the high-power binoculars to him and said in a low voice, “Everything is normal.”

“Really?” Ethan squinted.

Dinah glanced at Vincent. She didn’t find anything abnormal.

Vincent had followed Ethan for a much longer time than her, so he soon realized the problem. The drug deal would begin in two hours, but the dock was too quiet to be normal.

Some people should show up to guard this place, at least.

It was very cold tonight, and everyone was shaking in the wet ocean wind.

Dinah kept warming her hands by breathing into them, but the warmth soon went away because of the metal equipment she was holding.

Vincent lightly knocked on her shoulder, and she turned to look at him.

It was close to the time of the drug deal now, so they better not make any sounds. Vincent asked Dinah in Morse code, “Are you sure your information is right?”

“It should be. We’ve planned for today’s action so long,” Dinah also replied in code.

When it was finally 9:30 pm, a line of cars moved over at a slow pace in their sight.

“They’re coming!” Dinah pulled the bolt with excitement.

“Be patient.” Ethan pressed Dinah’s gun down.

The line of cars stopped not far away from the place where Ethan and his teammates hid themselves. One person made a whistle, and the dark surrounding area lighted up all of a sudden.

Dazzling light was cast on a container, and a fat man with a clown mask stood by the door.

He moved his hand, and two men carrying a leather box walked out from his back.

Three of them stepped towards the line of cars in everyone’s sight.

“Ethan, let’s take action now.” Dinah couldn’t wait for a second longer.

“Stay still. They’re not dealing yet,” Vincent said.

Ethan’s sight moved from the container to the clown, who was different from the one he had seen this afternoon.

“Is he the clown you saw last time?” Ethan asked in a quiet voice.

Dinah stared at the fat clown for a while, then nodded. “No.”

“No? Why did you nod your head?” A member of their team said, but Dinah knocked on his head to shut his mouth.

“Did you bring what we want here?” The clown opened his mouth all of a sudden.

“It is him! It is his voice!” Dinah got excited and grabbed Ethan’s arm. She would never forget his creepy voice.

Ethan, instead, gave Dinah a glance. Dinah didn’t understand it at the beginning, then moved her hand away at once.

She was too excited to remember that Ethan was a neat freak.

Except for Kylie, he wouldn’t allow any women to touch him.

Why Clown disguise his appearance, but not his voice?

Ethan was confused.

“We need to check the goods first?” a man of the other group said.

The clown moved his hand again, and one of the two men behind him walked ahead. The leather box was opened facing them, and lines of small bottles showed inside.

The man of the other group looked greedy, seeing those small bottles, but the leather box was closed with a clear sound the next second.

The man swallowed hard, then made an order. “Lift them out.” Hearing that, Dinah was surprised.

Why do they need to lift money out? How much money do they bring with them?

Because of the bright light, everything was very clear. The buyer party unloaded three big boxes from their cars, but they only placed one at the front of the clown, then opened it with a steel stick.

Seeing what was inside, Dinah took a long breath in.

It turned out to be a box of brand new M249. Although it wasn’t a powerful weapon, it was shocking enough to see so many of it.

She turned to look at Ethan, but Ethan just frowned in silence.

Dinah didn’t say anything now.

It was one thing to trade drugs, and it was totally another thing to exchange weapons with drugs.

Given their arms today, it was impossible for them to win.

However, if they didn’t take action today, it was hard to catch Clown again.

Vincent was also very nervous and held his breath.

After a while, the fat clown and the buyer party began to trade.

When they were about to exchange the goods, a group of people showed up out of the blue and fired at them.

“Act now!” Ethan made a sudden order.

They meant to attack them when it was a mess. Ethan and his teammates took action right after the group of strange men started to fire.

The fat clown and his people hadn’t got the M249 light machine guns yet, and soon were injured or killed.

Ethan told Vincent and Dinah to follow the group of strange men behind, then disrupted their tactics.

It worked very well. Two groups of people with guns were all in disorder now, and they were all killed.

When Ethan and his teammates cleaned the scene, he stood by the dead fat clown’s body.

“Ethan, let me remove his mask!” Dinah said.

In fact, she did it for herself.

She hoped the dead clown wasn’t Stephen’s housekeeper. If he was, she would cover this truth.

She didn’t want Stephen to be involved in this.

The mask was removed, and a strange face showed.

Dinah was relieved, then took a long breath out.

Nevertheless, she pulled out a long thin string from the clown’s neck the next second.

“Ethan, what is this?”

Chapter 483: They Were All Hypnotized

Ethan approached near, then pulled the string out. It ended with a loudspeaker.

“Great acting!” Ethan sneered at the loudspeaker.

Dinah was surprised and exchanged a look with Vincent. When she was about to say something, creepy laughter sounded from the loudspeaker. “This is a gift for you. I hope…”

All of a sudden, Ethan shouted, “Lie down!”

Everyone was confused but followed his order. A second later, three boxes placed on the ground exploded at the same time.

The huge blasting force blew sand up everywhere in the air with burning flames.

Dinah shook the sand off her body, jumping up from the ground. “F*ck!” After that, she dashed to the leather box lying by the dead clown.

The leather box was already torn into pieces after the explosion. She lifted it up, and many medicine bottles rolled out.

They were all cold tablets of the same brand!

“Damn it! It’s a trap!” Dinah shouted.

Vincent got back to his feet from the ground and checked his teammates to see whether they were seriously injured. Luckily, only two of them were cut by wood pieces, and others were all safe.

“Ethan, what should we do now?” Vincent asked.

Ethan looked to the large container at a slow pace.

The fat clown walked out from it, and there must be clues left inside.

“Ethan, it’s very dangerous!” Dinah ran to stop him. “Let me walk inside first. You can wait outside.”

Ethan, however, coldly said, “Bring other comrades back now. Vincent, follow me in.”

“Ethan, are you suspicious of me?” Dinah frowned.

Vincent pulled her arm and winked at her. “Do whatever Ethan told you to do. Listen to orders!”

No matter how unwilling Dinah was, she had to leave with other teammates.

Vincent followed Ethan walking to the gate, then kicked it open.

Both of them quickly moved to the sides of the gate to protect themselves from danger. They didn’t slowly step out until they heard no sound from the inside.

“Ethan, do you have something to talk to me about after you told Dinah to leave?” Vincent asked in a low voice.

Ethan replied in a deep voice, “She’s a sensitive woman.”

“Are you…” Vincent wanted to say something but closed his mouth at once. He understood Ethan held suspicions of Stephen now.

It was completely dark in the container, but they smelt strong acrid blood.

Vincent opened the bright light on his wrist. The second the floor was lit up, he was struck dumb.

Countless people were lying on the ground one on another in all kinds of positions. Each of them was killed by one shoot. Blood was flowing everywhere, and there was no place for them to put down their feet.

What scared Vincent more was that all the dead bodies were wearing the same clown masks.

“Ethan, this…” Vincent was out of words to describe the picture.

Ethan looked colder now. “They were willing to be shot dead.”

“Really?” Vincent checked the dead bodies one after another.

He didn’t see any traces of struggling at all.

There were at least over a hundred people here. If any of them struggled, others would escape around.

Nevertheless, they seemed to be killed in peace. It wasn’t death, but more like a holy ceremony.

“They were all hypnotized.” Ethan opened his mouth again.

“Hypnotized? But who did all of this? Is he a strong immortal than us?” Vincent rounded his eyes in shock.

Ethan didn’t bother to answer him and turned around and left the large container. He called someone along the way. “Where are you right now?”

“Enjoying my coffee,” Stephen said with a smile.

“Can I join you?” Ethan sped up and jumped into a car with Vincent.

In a café.

Stephen was enjoying a cup of coffee in a private room.

Ethan walked inside without knocking on the door and sat right across him.

Stephen smiled and poured a cup of coffee for Ethan. “Kylie already met me this afternoon, and I told her everything I know.”

Ethan moved the cup of coffee away.

“You’re Clown.” His voice was deep and low but wore a dangerous tone.

Stephen lifted his cup, then had a sip.

He closed his eyes for a long while.

When he opened them again, he didn’t look gentle and kind anymore, but evil. “Do you have any proof?”

“I will.” Ethan pulled his lips.

“I will catch you with my hands.” Ethan squinted at Stephen.

Stephen gave a little shrug with his hands outstretched. “Ethan, Mr. Romeo alone is a big trouble for you now. Are you able to spare any effort to deal with Clown? And what about your dark secret? Are you brave enough to spit it out to Kylie?”

Ethan straightened up his body and sneered at him, “I won’t allow him to leave here with your goods. Regarding the dark secret that hidden from my wife will soon be exposed, I will do it myself,”

“Let’s see if you could convince her to love you again and stay by your side!” Stephen said and smiled at Ethan sarcastically.

Ethan growled and quickly used his power and raised Stephen into the wall. He gripped his neck hard and said, “You forget how powerful I am. I can change her mind anytime and make her fall for me by erasing her memory,”

Holding his breath and struggling to fight back, Stephen yelled, “If you’re powerful enough, then why am I still creating special medicine for your entire race? Ethan, you forgot that I am your Doctor, and your fake reputation as a human will be exposed if I get killed. Bear that in your mind!”

Ethan seemed to hit back directly into his head. He threw Stephen at the corner and screamed. “I will kill you one day!”

Coughing hard, Stephen waved his hand “Send my distinguished guest out.”

Several black tall, strong bodyguards walked out from the wall at short notice.

“Please.” They stared at Ethan.

Stephen challenged Ethan face to face now.

Ethan stood up and left. Once he was gone, Stephen sneered, “Since you’re here, why don’t you come and have a seat inside.”

Someone pushed the door open, and Dinah walked in.

She looked at Stephen, but couldn’t believe her eyes. “Do you know I’m always praying that you have nothing to do with it?”

Stephen stretched his neck to relax it. “It still has nothing to do with me until now.”

“Stephen, you are Clown!” Dinah yelled in anger and sorrow. “The clown I’ve met for the first time is exactly you!”

“You disguise your appearance and build. You made me believe Clown is your housekeeper. Why? Why? Why did you do that?”

Stephen stood up from the sofa with his hands in his pants pockets. “You must know what I want since you’re so smart.”

“Impossible!” Tears welled up in Dinah’s bloodshot eyes. “Kylie is Ethan’s wife, and she won’t be with you! You are crazy!”

“Yeah, I am crazy, but…” Stephen abruptly pinched Dinah’s neck, “who made me crazy?”

“It was a pure accident. I didn’t mean to make you take the pill!” Dinah struggled to get rid of his hand. The harder she struggled, the more satisfied Stephen was.

“I don’t care whether it was an accident or not. I want Kylie Finch!”

Dinah was out of breath now. She did her best and uttered several words one by one, “I-I did t-the check. I-I’m p-p-pregnant n-now.”

Stephen squinted and threw Dinah to the sofa.

Chapter 484: Transfer The Shares

“Don’t you dare lie to my face? I don’t want you to have my child because you’re a monster,” His face was right in front of Dinah’s eyes now.

Dinah should feel happy that she was so close to him, but she was only frightened after hearing his insult. “I-I’m not lying. It’s true!” She wore a sad face and added, “Yeah, you hated me so much because I am not a human and I am not Kylie at all,”

“I need to check it myself.” Stephen grabbed Dinah’s clothing and dragged her up.

Dinah strongly believed no one was capable of hurting his own children. She can’t also use her own immortal strength to fight against him because she had consumed the medicine Stephen especially made for their clan to retain their human form. If Stephen knew she was pregnant, he would keep this baby no matter how he hated her.

As long as he could be gentle for a moment, it was possible for her to stay by his side.

***

In Garbo Palace.

Dinah used another early pregnancy test strip before Stephen.

“When was your last period?” Stephen looked at the two lines on the strip.

Dinah thought for a while, then said, “The 10th last month.”

Stephen snorted, “The 10th? You’ve been pregnant for 43 days.”

“Stephen, no matter how much you hate me, this is your baby, after all.” Dinah felt like crying. “Please, if you don’t want to see me anymore, I can leave once this baby is out.”

“Give me three months. I’ll have a B-scan when the baby is three months old. If it isn’t a boy, you’ll need to have an abortion.”

“There is no need to wait for three months.” Stephen’s voice was very gentle.

Dinah was a little excited. She licked her lips and held Stephen’s hand with a smile. “Right, you’re a doctor, and you know when to do the test.”

Stephen pulled his lips, then turned to walk towards his lab.

Dinah followed him up. She tried a few times, then summoned up her courage to hold Stephen’s arm.

Stephen gave her a glance but didn’t move her hand away. Dinah was cheered up.

She knew Stephen wouldn’t be so unkind because he was going to be a father.

The door of the lab was closed, and Stephen pulled Dinah’s hand, walking to a cabinet. He turned his big palm and placed something on Dinah’s hand.

Dinah was struck dumb for a second.

“What is this?” She looked at the small white pill.

“An abortion pill.” Stephen’s face was expressionless.

“No!” Dinah wanted to throw it, but Stephen caught her wrist tight. She couldn’t believe her ears. “Why?”

Stephen pressed Dinah against the cabinet and said in an evil voice, “Swallow it, now.”

“No, I won’t!” Dinah shouted and burst into tears. “Stephen, it’s your baby! I’m carrying your baby!”

“I don’t admit it!” Stephen forced Dinah to take the pill.

Dinah struggled, but couldn’t help swallowing it down when Stephen pinched her throat.

Stephen, however, didn’t let her go after she took the pill, but dragged her walking back to the living room.

Agnes showed up at short notice, staring at Dinah, who was crying with a cold face.

“Mrs. Cecil, please, help me. I’m carrying Stephen’s baby now. Help!” Dinah got rid of Stephen’s hand and ran to Agnes.

Agnes comforted Dinah. “Sure, let me help you.”

Dinah hid herself behind Agnes’s back at once. She dipped her finger into her throat, trying to get the pill out. Nevertheless, no matter how she dug, she only felt disgusted and failed to spit anything out.

Stephen seemed relaxed, sitting on the sofa. He even didn’t bother to glance at Agnes. “Watch on her. I need to see it with my own eyes.”

“Yes, sir.” Agnes nodded.

Seeing the scene, Dinah was scared and stepped away from Agnes in a hurry. “Mrs. Cecil, what happened? Don’t you always want a grandson? I’m carrying one in my belly now!”

Agnes slowly turned with a pair of dulled eyes.

Right, when Dinah thought it was impossible for Agnes to catch her alone, someone heavily hit on her neck, and she fell unconscious on the ground.

“Lord Stephen, all the transfer contracts are effective from now on.” The housekeeper put a pile of documents in front of Stephen.

Stephen turned several pages and snorted, “Adolph should find me soon.”

“May success come earlier.” The housekeeper smiled.

****

Kylie went back to the set the next day.

Ben threw himself into her arms the second she appeared. “Mom, I thought you’re mad at me.”

“I’m not.” Kylie rubbed his soft hair. “Did your father criticize you?”

“My father is very busy, and I haven’t seen him for days.” Ben looked serious.

Kylie squatted before Ben, looking at his bright eyes. “Does your father treat you well?”

“Yeah, father, think I should grow up to be a real man!” Ben said and clenched his little hand to a small fist.

Although he was just a kid, he took it very seriously.

“Kylie, time to put your make-up on,” Fannie said at this moment.

“We can chat a while later.” Kylie stood up and walked to the make-up room with Fannie. “Do you have any news?”

Fannie glanced around. Seeing there were no other people by their sides, she approached Kylie’s ear. “I heard Dinah is missing. Nate, Ethan, and other teammates have searched for her overnight in vain.”

“Is Dinah back?” Kylie was confused.

“She just came back after leaving to fulfill a task with Ethan, but she’s nowhere to be found now,” Fannie sighed. “Do you think she’s safe?”

“Does Stephen know it?” Kylie frowned.

“Nate didn’t tell me, but I think he should be aware of it. Dinah is his wife after all,” Fannie said. Kylie was worried, but Dinah could always safely come back no matter how dangerous the task was. She probably found out some news about Clown.

Kylie decided to call Stephen after shooting.

However, before she could do that, Stephen called her.

“Kylie, can you come to my place for a while today?” Stephen asked

“Is there anything wrong with my test report?” Kylie said and changed her clothes.

“Nope, but the shares of Empire Hotel. I don’t know why Agnes transfers her shares to me all of a sudden,” Stephen said on the phone. “You know the shares belong to Ethan, and our relationship is quite tense now. I don’t want to cause more conflicts.”

Kylie agreed with Stephen on that. Their relationship was like a time bomb now, and a spark could explode it. “How do you want to deal with it?”

“You can come to my place, and I’ll transfer the shares to you,” Stephen said.

Chapter 485: Where Are You Going?

In case Fannie reported it to Ethan again, Kylie decided to keep it a secret from her. “Fannie, Ms. Green, and I will shop together later. You can go back home before me.”

“Really? Where are you going? I can drive you there.” Ever since what had happened at the dock, Nate emphasized that Fannie should stay by Kylie’s side no matter what happened.

“Ms. Green has a chauffeur, and we’ll be home soon after.” Kylie patted her shoulder. “Nate wasn’t home last night, right? You can go home earlier today to keep his company.”

“He isn’t as important as you.” Fannie refused to leave.

“Well, the thing is Ms. Green…” Kylie quietly pointed at Kate, who talked with the director, “hopes to have a private talk with me.”

“Oh, I understand.” Fannie smiled. “Why didn’t you tell me just then? Be careful. Bye.”

“Safe driving, bye-bye.” Kylie waved her hand at Fannie, then walked to Kate. “Ms. Green, can I talk to you in private?”

“What’s wrong? Are there any problems with the script?” Kate followed Kylie walking to a quieter place.

Kylie shook her head. “The script is fine, but I think someone is stalking me these days.”

“What?” Kate raised her voice all of a sudden, then kept her voice down. “Do you need me to call the police?”

“No, I feel like he’s my fan.” She held Kate’s hand. “I told my agent to drive away before me to attract his attention. Can I sit with you when we leave here?”

“Of course you can.” Kate made a hand gesture, and her assistant walked over. “Bring Miss Finch in my car.”

Actually, Fannie didn’t leave the set.

She was determined to follow Kylie. Since Kate wanted to keep the talk private, she could keep a distance away from them.

Before long, she saw Kate’s nanny van moving out of the set and followed it up without delay.

Kate’s car drove straight ahead to the most bustling commercial area of Seattle, then entered an underground parking lot.

Fannie wasn’t a VIP member of this place, so her car was forbidden to move inside. She could only wait at the roadside. It seemed there was no vacant parking spot, and the nanny van soon drove outside.

“Great!” Fannie started her car and followed up again.

When Fannie’s car was far away, Kylie walked out of the parking lot from another side. She pushed her sunglasses up a little, then walked to the other side of the road.

The law firm where she was going to meet Stephen was very near from here.

“Kylie, you’re late.” Stephen guided her to a VIP lounge.

“I’m sorry. The shooting lasted long.” Kylie put her sunglasses back into her bag. “What has happened?”

Stephen pushed the document in the front of Kylie. “Have a look at yourself. I just got the notification from the lawyer yesterday.”

Kylie didn’t understand the specific terms, but she saw Agnes’s name clearly written at the bottom of the last page. Agnes was the equities transferor.

“Um, these should be the property shared by the husband and wife. Can Agnes unilaterally transfer it?” Kylie asked.

Stephen was struck dumb for a second. He didn’t expect Kylie would know that. He glanced at a staff member, and the staff member served Kylie a glass of water. “Miss Finch, please.”

“Thanks.” Kylie smiled, then had a drink.

She indeed was a little thirsty.

“I don’t know whether Adolph is aware of it or not, but it is legal now,” Stephen said. “Now, I give all of them to you, and they’re all returned to Ethan too.”

Kylie nodded, then thought of Dinah all of a sudden. “Dinah is back. Do you know that?”

“Yeah,” Stephen said. “She went to share coffee with my adoptive mother yesterday.”

“Agnes?” Kylie was nervous.

She was surprised to know that the last person who met Dinah was Agnes. However, Agnes alone wasn’t able to abduct Dinah, unless Dinah was willing to stay herself.

“Well.” Stephen wore a wry smile. “You probably haven’t heard of it yet. Dinah signed an agreement with my adoptive mother. If she can be pregnant with my baby, Agnes will give her seven million dollars.”

“What?” Kylie was confused.

She was the one who had deceived Agnes into believing that Dinah was pregnant. Dinah just married into the Cecil family. How come she signed an agreement with Agnes in order to get seven million dollars?

Is it a lie made up by Dinah to stay by Stephen’s side?

Thinking of that, Kylie smiled. “Didn’t you say these all belong to Ethan? You can let Dinah be pregnant as soon as possible with his money.”

Stephen remained silent for a while, then suddenly smiled too. “It sounds like I’m taking advantage of Ethan.”

“Ha-ha.” Kylie laughed a little. All of a sudden, she felt dizzy, but she soon was fine after blinking with force.

“Are you alright?” Stephen asked at once.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I just didn’t sleep well last night,” Kylie said.

“Sign your name here.” Stephen gave Kylie a pen and pointed at a space of the document.

“Are these all mine once I sign my name?” Kylie still had doubts.

“Of course, yes. They’ll all be yours.” Stephen beamed.

Kylie then wrote her name down and gave the document back to Stephen to let him check again.

Stephen checked it, then said to a staff member, “Tell Lawyer Ward to come here.”

Before long, a woman in a black suit walked out and read through the document. Afterward, she told Kylie and Stephen to show her their ID information.

“Great, this document will become effective after 24 hours,” Lawyer Ward said with a smile.

“Thanks.” Stephen stood up.

“Stephen, I haven’t seen Dinah for a long time.” Kylie stood up as well. “Is she home?”

Stephen shook his head. “No idea, but I can call my mother.”

Kylie couldn’t hear their talk on the phone but just saw Stephen nodding a few times before he hung up.

“My mother told me, Dinah, already left. She should be home now.” Stephen smiled. “Garbo Palace No. 1 is still what it is after you moved out. Wanna have a seat there?”

“Sure!” Kylie agreed without thinking further, as long as she could see Dinah.

The moment Kylie got in Stephen’s car, she fell asleep. Stephen put the warm wind on and drove steadily.

Unfortunately, it was rush hour when they were on the road, so it took a long time for them to go back to Garbo Palace No. 1 from the center of the city.

Kylie felt someone lightly pushing her shoulder. “Kylie? Kylie, we’ve arrived. Wake up.”

Kylie rubbed her eyes and sat up. Looking at the familiar house, she stretched her arms and got out of the car. “It indeed is still the same!”

“It’s different.” Stephen locked his car, then walked to stand by Kylie’s side. It seemed he was talking to himself. “Its female owner is different.”
