Ch. 101..110
Chapter 101
Just as Nancy was about to leave, tired from dancing and a bit drunk from having finished the entire bottle, David suddenly tightened his grip around her waist, not letting her go.
"What do you think you’re doing?" She gasped he pulled her in by the waist, her breast slamming against his chest.
"Going so soon? Come on, let’s dance for a little while, maybe head back to my place after."
Her gaze darkened and she would have thrown a punch if not for the fact that her punch would be weak since she had no iota of strength left in her.
She could barely stand on her feet.
"... You know, so that, I can taste your beautiful flower, I’m sure it’s as sweet as your cherry lips." With that, he leaned in close to kiss her only to feel someone tap his shoulder.
"Huh?" Annoyed, he turned, not a second was wasted before Raiden punched him at the side of the jaw, sending him to the ground, the stench of alcohol emanating from his body.
"People like you make me sick." He almost spat.
Liliana held Nancy, her arm across her shoulders, while her arm wound around her waist.
"Let’s take her home now. I think she’s had enough tonight."
Raiden looked up.
’I wonder where he is.’
He tried using the mind link but Koam had cut off all connection to his mind.
He felt in his pocket for his keys before turning to the ladies.
"Let’s go then."
People hurriedly parted, making way for the trio while David’s friends helped him up since he was dead drunk and wasn’t aware of his surroundings anymore.
Mirabel sat across and watched Liliana and Raiden help Nancy out and could only wonder who she really was.
She’ll have to find out.
Raiden drove them home and decided to drive back to the club since Koan’s car wasn’t in the garage.
When they arrived in her room, Liliana began pulling Nancy’s shoe. She was kneeling on the floor while Nancy was laying sprawled on the bed.
"Gosh Nancy, did you have to finish an entire bottle of tequila... I’m a bit jealous, but you can’t even walk straight. Who knows what David would have done if we weren’t around."
"Koan," Nancy said in a breathless voice, running her hands through her hair while staring at the ceiling. "Where’s Koan?"
"I don’t know. I think he’s still at the club." Liliana was assuring herself more than Nancy. It was almost as if he suddenly disappeared. She was a bit worried but angry that he didn’t do anything seeing his mate with another man.
After taking off the last pair of boots, she got up to place them in her wardrobe, only to turn, a gasp tearing from her throat, through her lips.
"Koan!"
He was standing at the door, his gaze fixed on Nancy who lain on the bed, barefoot with half closed eyes, her small lips parted to enable her breath.
Liliana froze when her cousin turned to her with that look.
"Leave."
Almost squealing at the deep throaty voice, she didn’t hesitate to run out of the room, her heart pounding in endless rhythms.
The door shut behind her with a bang and she heard the sound of someone locking the door from the inside.
No.
He wouldn’t hurt hrrt her, right?
Trembling, she pulled out her phone and called Raiden
"Liliana I don’t think this is the right time to... "
"Koan’s here." She said in a small shaky voice, her thumb between her teeth
"What?!"
"I’m guessing he ran here since his car is still at the club, but he’s alone with Nancy in the room and it’s been quiet in there ever since."
"I’ll be right there. Just see how you can break the door down. Your mum shouldn’t know what’s going on."
"Come quick." She reminded and went back to the door, jiggling the knob around in a bid to distract Koan.
Nancy squealed, scrambling back on the bed with her arms and legs as Koan advanced towards her.
"Where the f**k do you think you’re going, you sl*t!" He growled, dragging her down closer to him by her ankle.
A cry sounded in room, and Liliana banged harder on the door.
"Koan! Nancy!"
Nancy’s eyes widened as Koan knelt in between her legs, she pushed her hair backwards before leaning back.
"Koan l- leave me alone. It’s not funny anymore."
"Did you think hanging around that commoner was funny. The wannabe Luna of Crescent Moon’s pack drunk and dancing with a random male werewolf?"
"Why are you so mad about it?" She smirked dauntily, raising a brow as he crawled towards her, placing two hands on either sides of her waist on the bed, his face inches from his. "Are you jealous?"
Raiden’s voice was suddenly heard at the door. He and Liliana banged on the door simultaneously.
"Koan. Don’t you dare hurt her!"
"You know damn well right that I’m not. But I have pride Nancy," he gritted his teeth. "If you were going to come into my pack and act like a horny sl*t... " Koan ignored the two at the door, his focus on Nancy, feeling the warmth emanating between her legs from where he knelt.
".. Just stop it! I’m not a sl*t okay. I just... danced with him and you said it yourself... you said we weren’t mates so why do you care." She interrupted him wanting to hear the obvious answer.
"I care because when the elders eventually find out you’re my mate, everyone in Crescent Moon’s will know my mate’s a childish whore."
"That’s not why you’re angry right now," she scanned him and looked right into his eyes with a smug smile. "You’re just jealous I was with another man besides you." She slowly raised her hand, brushing her thumb over his lower lip while he watched her drunken lazy eyes.
He finally smirked and caught her wrist.
"After today, I don’t think you would dare defy me."
"What’s the worst you can do rather than reject me. Nothing will make me feel as worse as I do seeing you with another woman."
"Believe me," His voice turned dark, causing the mockery in her eyes to dissipate. "I have more than 101 ways to punish you other than making you feel worse."
Chapter 102
"Y- You don’t own me." She harshly berrated him, her brows coming to join at the middle of her forehead, but he wasn’t listening.
"Well, unless you’re not willing to leave my life, then you’re underneath my control."
With that, he pushed her to fall back on the pillows behind, her legs pushed up so that knees were almost touching the sides of her face.
Raiden turned to Liliana
"It’s useless. We can’t keep knocking like this. We have to back down."
A muffled cry was heard in the room and Liliana’s cheek burned bright red in anger as she kicked the door one last time.
"Ugh! These fucking doors!"
"The only thing we can do is hope he doesn’t do anything which would affect her mental health."
"I swear I’ll kill him if anything happens to her." She turned to Raiden. "What do we do now."
"We Wait" With that, he pulled her away while she stared back at the door with a complicated look on her face, furious.
"Mm." A small involuntary moan escaped her lips as his fingers lifted her gown up to her stomach, leaving her entire lower body bare except for the panty she had on.
Her breathing turned to ragged as she threw her head up to face the ceiling, just imagining the look on his face as he stared at her down there.
What was he going to do to her?
"Koan... wait... mm." She moaned again, not able to say any cohorent words as his fingers found his way to the area covering her forbidden fruit, his other hand lying flat on the bed, the area next to her head.
"Look at that, she’s wet already," he teasingly touched her directly, sliding the lace aside with one finger, and watching her wriggle under his touch.
"You f**king sl*t." He sneered, ripping out the fabric of her panty and throwing it away, not minding where it landed, gaining him a gasp from the woman under his mercy.
"W-What are you going to do?" She stammered in a drowsy voice, trying to sit up and close her legs, feeling hot from watching him stare at her bare flower from down there.
"Try closing your legs again and I will f**king tie you to the bed." He warned and all she felt was arousal hearing his threatening voice in the dark, but she dared not move again.
Without warning, he leaned close and she stiffened, feeling his hot breath fanning her sensitive spot. Reflexively, she gripped the sheets at the side of the bed, closing her eyes.
"Koan." She called again, in a pleading voice.
"My aunt’s downstairs. So unless you want her running upstairs to interrupt us and finding us like this, then don’t move or scream."
"Koan." She pleadingly called again, feeling a familiar flipping feeling in her lower stomach and a throbbing pain between her legs itching to be satiated by his touch.
"That’s not how you should be calling my name." With that, he slowly flicked his tongue over her clit.
"Koan- ah!" She moaned in the sweetest sound he’d ever heard from any woman, her grip on the sheets tightening impulsively.
"Good girl." He said, staring interestingly at her flower. She was so beautiful. He grabbed her thighs and began feasting on her wet core, his other hand reaching under to play with her clit.
Nancy was a mess. She couldn’t even think properly again as she trashed on the bed, subconsciously bucking her hip up in slow sensual movements to meet with his hot, almost scorching touch. It felt like was she was already on cloud-9.
Her head was thrown back, her knuckles turning white as the sheets she held in her grip turned to mounds in her fists.
Koan leaned back, feeling satisfied hearing her soft moans and whimpers before he pushed his finger in, hooking it up to touch her g-spot.
"Oh... f**k" She finally swore, eyes glazing over in her sockets as she raised her hips to meet with his slow thrusts again.
Soon, he drove his tongue in again, reclaiming her while she moaned softly In the same ardor, rising in response as her mouth fell open almost drooling.
A pleasureable rumble soon resonates deep within her throat as she was evidently close to her release. His sensual assault was driving her crazy, his hand at the back of her thighs was scorching hot just as his tongue torments her.
Koan couldn’t just get enough of her. She smelled exquisite, like the finest wine he had ever taste. She tastes better than every woman he had ever bedded and Koan has bedded many. Her slow sensual hips rising to his touch and the sweet moans tearing from her lips forced his invading, insistent tongue deeper into her flower, his lips closing over her.
"Ahhhhhhhh... " She sighed heavily, her senses no longer with her as she was close to her release. The reluctancy she had felt earlier was long gone as all she wanted was to cum and free herself from the sweet torment she was feeling now.
But suddenly, just as she had felt his scorching sensuous lips in her, she no longer did.
The slight frown on her face, her parted lips, all turned to one of confusion as she looked up to see Koan climbing out of bed.
She sat up In a flash and watched him leave for the door, a firy burn of rage in her eyes as she realized what he just did.
"Goodnight Nancy." He said with a smirk, which only infuriated her the more. As he left, she got off the bed and drew the sheets, tossing it to the ground and falling right onto it after a minute, breathing hard in anger.
Slowly, she leaned back on the bed, stretching her fingers over the moist area.
With caution and desperation in her motions, she pushed her finger in, looking down, watching as her finger disappeared and appeared moist down there several times, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t feel the spark of pleasure she felt with him.
In frustration, she kicked the table in front of her, some make up and skim care products falling to the ground as she raked her hands through her hair again, biting her lips hard with tears in her eyes.
Chapter 103
"It’s just a few items. Aunt Marcy needs them to make dinner." Naomi calmly explained while Barton got into the car.
"Okay. Just text me the list and I’ll get them for you."
"Thank you."
The atmosphere suddenly turned awkward when Daniel arrived outside the gates in his sling bag A.K.A backpack for school.
Without sparing him a glance, she just walked past him, almost like she was in a hurry to get away from him.
He tried to go after her,
’Don’t push it Daniel.’ Barton warningly said, using the mind link, and watched as his cousin sighed in defeat, getting into the car to seat side by side with him before turning on the car ignition.
"What’s up with Naomi."
"You’re up with her, that’s what. She’s mad at you."
"But why?"
"Are you really asking me that type of question. Like you seriously don’t know?"
"I know we haven’t been on... the best terms, but these days, it’s like she doesn’t even want to breathe the same air as me."
"You rejected her," Barton starts counting off with his fingers while staring ahead, half focusing on the steering wheel. "You don’t even trust her. You think she’s an enemy so you willingly let her leave with the Kitsunes that night."
"Why is she even here?"
"Ask her yourself, and since she has the power to reject you, don’t you think she alsohas the power to mark you, rather than the other way round?"
"So?"
"You should be worried about her decision once she leaves. She might reject you without a thought. I mean, why do you think she came back."
"What do you mean ’Once she leaves’."
"Did you really think she just came back to stay? She’s heading back to foxtune. It’s already one week since she arrived."
Daniel sighed and leaned his head back to rest on the head rest of the car seat.
"I can’t believe we’re on this on my way to school."
"Imagine a werewolf mating with a fox." Barton suddenly said and Daniel glanced at him with narrowed eyes.
Barton stiffled a chuckle.
"I’ll be fathering a f**king hybrid. No way."
"What’s wrong with hybrids. Your daughter will be a beautiful child."
"You’ve already assumed the gender." Daniel smirked bittertly, readjusting the bag across his shoulders as they got close to the school compound. "Pity. But you and I know nothing of that sort isn’t happening between us. I won’t f**k Naomi."
"You don’t f**k your mate, you make love to her. If you’re going to make Naomi hate you any less than she already does, you’ll have to learn how to treat a woman."
Daniel stepped out, banging the door shut.
"Look who’s talking about treating a woman, and I really don’t care if she hates me to the point of rejecting me. I never accepted her in the first place either."
Barton held onto the steering wheel, ready to leave.
"Principal Matthews one way or the other will have to expel you. This is the nth time since your first week here and you’ve missed more classes than I did when I was schooling here."
"Kiara or Jones’s got me covered."
"I’m just saying, just because you’re an Alpha doesn’t make you any less than a student."
"Goodbye Barton."
"Hey. What’s up with you and Kiara, the principal’s daughter"
"What do you want to hear?"
"Something you know I wouldn’t like to hear. We’re heading out tomorrow."
"To where? I’ve been busy the entire week, and you’re dragging me off somewhere tomorrow. I’ll pass."
"I’m helping you make up with your mate, so it’s either you’re going or I’ll have to force you. Your choice." With that, he zoomed off, leaving Daniel to glare after the car.
Kiara and Jones were his friends, with one being the principal’s daughter and the other, happened to be the first boy he saw on his first day in school with Aunt Marcy whom he had to returned his wallet to, thus, the beginning of a friendship.
Jones was his study pal, ensuring his notes were completed on time and his homework was done too.
Kiara acted as his yandere, forcing all the love struck girls back into the corner when they saw how psychopathic and obsessed she was over him.
However, their relationship was just mutual with no sexual magnetism between them.
In return for all their help, the two got exclusive passes to visit the Alpha’s mansion whenever they wanted, so it was a win-win for the three since Kiara and Jones were living the dream of many.
As he walked in, the silence of the school was almost unbearable, like a cemetery, evident that classes had begun a while ago.
"And here I thought I was the only one who arrived late."
He turned to see Kiara walking in with folded arms and a small smile.
"You went to see your mum?"
"Yeah. And I woke up late because I spent the entire night talking with her, you know, we had some catching up to do."
Gamma Matthew and his wife, Ariana were divorced, and the Gamma got custody of his daughter and strictly prevented her from having anything to do with her mother .
Kiara loved her father, but she couldn’t bear living her entire life out without her mother, so she usually snuck out to see her, hoping her dad never finds out because he would kill her.
"Where’s your bag?"
"At the coffee shop down town."
"You’re going clubbing today?"
"Yeah. Wanna join?"
"And watch you mix alcohol like a lunatic. No. Thank you."
She chuckled and checked the bracelet wristwatch around her wrists.
"Well, we better head to class. We have history now and we just missed Math class."
*
As Barton raced to the supermart, he got a text from Naomi, the list of things to buy for dinner.
After a while, he called her.
"I see why you’re mad at him but don’t you think it’s bothering him, I mean, you won’t even tell him why."
"Who’s mad at who?"
He frowned.
"Where’s Naomi."
"I just borrowed her phone for a bit. Is Daniel there?"
"He’s at school, Dora, and you should be having your online classes now."
"Oh bummer. I didn’t get to tell him good morning."
"I want to speak with Naomi."
"You’re heading to the supermart, right?"
"So?"
"Can you get me something. I’ll text it to you."
"Sure. Whatever. Now hand over the phone to the owner."
Chapter 104
Koan sighed for the nth time, running his hand across his face in a tired stance just as he found a parking spot.
The silence in the car was awkward, especially since Nancy didn’t want to talk and he didn’t want to talk to her either.
She was still angry about the other night. Koan had taken to her to cloud-9, and just before she had touched heaven, had left her just like that to crash to the ground.
"Get this over with and be quick about it. I have a meeting to get to before noon." He broke the silence, turning off the ignition.
"You seriously don’t plan on sitting here while I do all the work, do you?" Nancy finally said, getting out of the car.
"I didn’t break an entire skin care products set the other night. I don’t see why I should be part of the shopping."
"You leave that car right now or I’m not moving as well. And we both know no one’s returning empty handed or your cousin will murder you."
He glared at her and she smiled .
*
Location: Foxtune
Two women bearing dark gold eyes and dark auras emanating from their body, walked at the same daunting pace towards the throne room where the king sat, unmoving.
He has been like that for days now.
Once they arrived, they bowed at his feet, their hair, red and blue respectively in shimmering under the sunlight.
"It’s one day before her official arrival here. Do not fail me again."
The two women rose.
"We won’t, your majesty." They said in unison.
*
"Look."
Koan turned to her with a scowl, his expression softening immediately when he saw her waving a kitten themed hair accessory in his face.
Somehow, after they finished shopping for Liliana, he ended up following Nancy around to buy what he’d call ’irrelevant nonsense’.
He pushed the cart around while she threw in whatever she fancied.
"Who’s paying for all these?" He complained with a stoic expression when she threw in a couple more things.
She turned to him while trying on the kitten hair band.
"You of course. You’re not Supreme Alpha for nothing."
He snorted, refusing to say anything else, leaning over the cart to use his phone.
"I wish they had this in blue."
He reluctantly glanced up again to see her in the kitten band. Thoughts of fluffy rabbits crossed his mind again, darkness enshrouded his mind thinking of how she had changed his thinking to such rubbish.
"Pink is fine. It suits your eyes. Can we go now?" He nonchalantly said, not knowing just how much his honest compliment affected her.
"N- Not yet." She said with a stubborn pout and he sighed, knowing he couldn’t return without her because Lizzy would kill him.
"What else do you want to buy? Matching outfits for the both of us?"
"Oh my gosh! Yes!"
"You’re kidding."
"We could just get matching T-shirts and baseball caps."
"We? What do you mean we? I can’t be seen around with a stranger putting on matching clothes like a 7-year old."
"It’s not childish. It’s actually a cute norm for couples."
"Pass."
"But... "
"No."
"Alpha... Koan?"
They turn to see Mirabel standing a feet away, bearing numerous shopping bags in her hands.
"You’re not one to shop alone." Koan casually greeted with a question. He knew of two Omegas who usually carried her shopping bags while she picked out whatever she wanted.
But she didn’t reply immediately because her gaze was focused on Nancy.
"I’m confused." She started and Nancy rolled her eyes. "What’s she doing here... shopping with you?"
"It’s normal for couples to shop together." Nancy calmly said, a smug smile rising on her face.
Mirabel’s brows furrowed.
"Couples?"
"Nancy." Koan began in a warning tone.
Just who was this girl? Mirabel thought.
Just the other night, she had been upstairs with the Alpha and the next minute, she was downstairs with her friend with no memory of what had happened after one word from that brat
This was no ordinary guest.
"I guess I’ll see you later." She said, all her attention on Koan, ignoring Nancy who looked like she was going to devour her at any moment.
Koan just nodded, slightly tilting his jaw to her and with a small smile, she left, but not before exchanging glares with Nancy.
"Come on, I want to try something on."
"Wait... hey!" Before he could even protest, she had dragged him away, leaving their cart behind.
This situation reminded him of years back when she had used this same force to pull him down and sit with her. How was she this strong and fragile all at once?
Soon, they found themselves at a dressing room after she had picked up something to wear.
Their hands were still entwined without them realizing, attracting the attention of the others who thought they were couples.
’Isn’t that Alpha Koan?’
’I’ve seen the Alpha with several women but I’ve never seen him get touchy with them in public more especially holding hands.’
’Who do you think she is. She is so lucky!’
The chatter turned louder so Nancy pulled Koan into an empty dressing room.
"Do you realize my reputation is at stake here."
She turned to him with a small frown.
"A few people saw you entering a dressing room with a woman. So?"
"That woman happens to be an Alpha’s daughter. What do you think they’re going to conclude about us?"
"That we’re a couple?"
"That’s the complete opposite of what I want."
"Think all you want, but you’re not leaving until you help me out here. I can’t put this on alone."
He rubbed his nose before sighing.
"You could have just asked the working staffs."
"Only my mate has the privilege of seeing me bare. I won’t feel comfortable around the others."
"What are you? Crazy? Are you seriously going to take off your clothes right Infront of me so casually."
"What’s wrong? Why are you acting like you haven’t seen my body." Her gaze darkened and his lips fell in atonishment.
Chapter 105
"Just help me with the zipper." Naomi pleaded, flashing him a look from her eyes, with a slight hint of a not-so-innocent glint before turning around.
She was in a summer dress which had a zipper stopping at her lower back. Her hair was kept long and wavy and she was in stilettos.
Her outfit was a combination of cute and formal.
Koan bit his lower lip. How did he end up from trying to reject this woman to unzipping her in a dressing room, alone.
Is this how you want to play, Nancy? You haven’t learnt your lesson from last time, have you?
The edge of his lip slowly rose as he calmly stepped closer to her, reaching up to clasp his fingers around her zipper, his other hand slowly reaching for her waist.
Nancy, unaware of his plans, had the dress Infront of her, checking it out in the tall standing mirror right Infront of her.
Soon, she heard the familiar sound of her zipper going down, and she looked up and from the mirror could see Koan had all his attention on the zipper in his grip.
Feeling his scorching gaze almost leaving a burning mark at her back, she bit her lip, her gaze not leaving his face even for a second, her hand subconsciously gripping the fabric in her hand into her fist.
Clearly, she wasn’t focused on his entire face, just his lips. Those same lips had tortured her into bliss just few days ago, leaving her a wrecking mess...
Brows furrowing as she recountered that day, she moved forward to pull away from his touch, only to gasp as her back slammed against his chest.
"Koan." She gasped again when she felt his hand come from the back to choke her throat; not hard to actually choke her but strong enough to hold her in his grip. The other quickly wound around her waist leaving her under his mercy.
The fabric came to drop at her feet as she struggled in his grip, but he had a good hold on her.
"Why are you struggling?" He asked, his breath tickling her ear, sending shivers down her spine, her toes subconsciously curling, her lower lip trembling slightly.
"K- Koan." She sighed.
"You bring a man into a dressing room to undress you, what does it imply," he squeezed around her throat harder and she gasped again, slowly catching her lower lip between her teeth and tugging on it hardly. "I’m guessing you want to finish from the other night, don’t you?"
Her eyes flew open and her lower lip popped out the confinement of her teeth when she realized what he meant. Was he planning on doing the same thing as he did to her that night?
She struggled again but he wound his arm around her waist, causing a groan to escape her lips.
"T- This is rape," She stammered, breathelss from being flushed from his hot breath in her ear. "I won’t let you take advantage of me again."
He chuckled, smirking after, at the way her eyes rolled in their sockets when he increased his grip around her throat.
Not that she minded, it was a total turn on for her. The way she was almost out of breath from just his grip was killing her core, she could feel herself get wet from just his closeness, his muscular chest pressed against her back.
"Rape?," She whimpered when he leaned close to speak against her colar bone this time, their gaze coming to meet in the mirror. "It’s not rape if you’re reacting this way to my touch."
"I’m not." She denied, looking down, breaking the eye contact they shared in the mirror, slightly turning so that their eyes actually met. Their lips were so close, any slightest movement and they’d kiss, however, Koan was not one to play lovable mate.
He released her throat from his grip and reached back to pull down the right arm of her dress so that it stopped below, enough to expose her entire neckline and shoulder.
Turning away, she gasped as he crashed his lips against her colar bone, just close to the lobe of her ear, sliding his tongue down to her neck.
His arm wound round her waist tighter, the other grabbing her by the throat once more.
"Hm.. Ah...K-Koan!" She moaned sharply, her lip trembling with fervor.
He didn’t stop, even as he said, with a slightly muffled voice.
"If that’s all the reaction I’m going to get from you, then you might as well get in trouble for f**king on public grounds with the Alpha."
She tried to say something, but her lips could only open and close, releasing soft moans, not a single comprehensible.
His tongue creased against her skin, sending jolts of pleasure crawling down her body. Her legs squeezed shut against each other as she felt herself turn into a mess between them.
Feeling his teeth slightly nuzzling the side of her neck, she slowly grinded her teeth, her legs bucking as she leaned into his touch without realizing, only to get shoved forward.
It was so sudden but she managed to hold the sides of the mirror to steady herself, turning to him with a glare.
"I’m done unzipping your dress." He calmly said, not an iota of expression on his face as he stared back at her.
"W- What?" She was confused, she reached out for her shoulder with an embarrassed blush, pulling it up to hide the red mark on her neck.
"Try on whatever and um... meet me outside."
Under her glare, he turned away only to pause at her voice.
"You can’t keep treating me like some sex toy Koan, If this is your pathetic plan to make me break and run away from you, then forget it."
A painful smirk rose on his face before he left, not even looking back for once.
Once the curtains closed behind him, she slides down to the floor, fisting one hand in her hair while the other felt her face for the tears that rained down her cheek, coming to fall in drops on the ground.
Chapter 106
"I sent another group of hunters to the mountains, but just like the last set, they didn’t return." Raiden reported, once Koan walked in.
"Gather a group of pack warriors, we’ll be heading there after the meeting," Koan ordered. "Where are the elders?"
"In your office," He looked behind Koan to see Nancy meekly walk in, stealing glares at Koan. "Mind telling me what happened?"
Koan looked over his shoulders at who had caught his Beta’s eyes before turning away with a neutral expression.
He didn’t bother to answer him before he left for his office.
Nancy didn’t say a word either and left for her room.
Liliana was crossed on her bed in a weird position, painting her toenails a shade of hot pink when Nancy walked in.
"I told you it was a bad idea to let us go shopping together." She stated, shutting the door behind her while Liliana closed the nail polish, putting her legs down.
She could see her friend wasn’t happy one bit.
"What happened?"
Nancy sighed, and told her everything, right down to when he had left her alone in the dressing room.
"Let me see!" With that, she rushed forward and unzipped the gown without warning to behold the red hickey on her neck line. Liliana clicked her tongue in disappointment.
"I can’t believe he was so aroused and he didn’t mark you in the heat of the moment."
"I doubt he was. If anyone was aroused, it was me," She blushed at Liliana’s expression but continued. "He takes me up on a roller coaster ride, leaves me up and lets me crash to the ground alone. Don’t you realize what he’s doing?"
"That sly cousin of mine. He wants you to crack, and thinks you’re going to leave the pack if his torment becomes unbearable for you."
"Well I’m not going to."
"Well if you’re not... why don’t you play his game."
"What do you mean."
Liliana sighed with a knowing smile and crawled closer to her, careful not to ruin her pedicure.
"I believe I know my cousin more than anyone else. And if it’s anything I’ve learnt about Koan, it’s that he’s obsessed with women."
"I’m an exception. He said it himself."
"Oh Please. You’re his fated mate. So you have the upper hand."
"Are you saying that I should seduce Koan. Liliana, he’ll wring my head out of my neck if he realizes it."
She smirked at her. "Who says he has to know?"
Before Nancy could utter a word, Liliana adds,
"Wait here, I’ll be back."
As Liliana rushed out, barefoot, waiting for her nail-do to dry, she bumped into Raiden.
"I was looking for you."
She smiled with a glint In her eyes, twirling her fingers in her hair.
"Why?"
He frowned with narrowed eyes.
"Koan’s having a meeting now, and we’ll be heading to the mountains after so I’m recruiting a group to join us."
"The mountains? The hunters aren’t back yet?"
"Yes, so get ready," he glared at the new shade of pink on her nails. "and," he glanced over the crop top and bum short she wore. "get into warrior attire. We suspect something worse than the men just loosing their way back here."
"Okay but... " She sighed when he left her sight without another word, her thumb in her mouth.
After sighing again, she climbs up to her cousin’s room, completely sure that he wasn’t around and was in his office with the elders.
Just like she guessed, as she twisted Koan’s doorknob, the door opened, evident that in a hurry, Koan had been careless and hadn’t locked his room.
There was no time to waste, Liliana dashed downstairs to see Nancy at the door. She had been worried that Liliana was gone for a while and was on her way to search for her.
"Get your things, we’re leaving." Liliana breathlessly said, trying not to shout.
"What? Leaving? We’re running away?"
Liliana sighed.
"Gosh... No you’re moving into Koan’s room."
"He agreed?"
"Not... exactly. But his room’s open. That’s a good explanation as to why you’ll be there. Now be quick before the meeting is over."
At the sound of her voice, Nancy rushed inside to get her things ready which wasn’t hard since she hadn’t fully unpacked in Liliana’s room because Liliana suspected something like this would happen.
’I heard someone moving about on my floor. I asked Raiden and he said he wasn’t close to mansion. Where are you?’
’In my room.’ She said honestly.
Koan was half listening to something an elder said while his jaw was in his hand. He was mind linking his cousin.
’Where WERE you?’
’I’ve been in my room.’ She half-lied this time.
’Where’s Nancy.’
’She’s here with me.’
’I’ve got ears around the Pack.’ He reminded her and she rolled her eyes as he cut off the mind link.
Nancy finally walked forward with her trolley in her hand and a bag slung over her shoulder.
"I’m ready."
She looked nervous... infact nervous wasn’t a describable explanation for how she felt. She was terrified. Almost like they weren’t just going to the Alpha’s floor but into a Lion’s den.
"Whatever you do, do not make a sound upstairs. I think Koan can hear what goes on on his floor from his office."
The blood drained from her face.
"What?"
Liliana put a finger to her beautiful lips and Nancy shut her mouth with her hand.
"We don’t have much time. Are you backing down now?"
The fighting light burning brightly in her eyes which had dimmed not to long ago resurfaced with a resolving intent.
"No way. Let’s go."
With that, they made their way upstairs.
As they got close to the room, Liliana holding the trolley, not dragging it across the floor since it will surely cause a lot of noise, Koan’s voice resounded In her head like a siren.
’What’s Nancy doing up on my floor?’
Her heart pounded in her rib cage and she stared pitifully at Nancy whose hand was inches away from Koan’s door knob.
’What do you mean?’ She stammered, acting dumb.
’I can smell her f**king scent all over. She’s close, isn’t she? She’s on my floor. What are you two up to?’
’I don’t know what you’re talking about.’
’I’m coming out right now.’
Chapter 107
Liliana turned to her with panic stricken eyes.
"What? What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Nancy asked in a panic stricken voice, stepping back from the door like it was a hot sizzling iron.
"Listen to me Nancy. I want you to go in there, take off your clothes and hit the shower. Right now! No questions asked," When she noticed Nancy was about to protest, she almost yelled. "Just do it! Puh-leaaaase." She put her hands together in a praying stance.
Nancy sighed and reluctantly looked behind her before running inside the room while Liliana shut the door and stood Infront like she was a bodyguard.
Just like she predicted, Koan’s footsteps echoed around his floor before she finally saw him walking towards her like a prowling wolf, ready to rip her to shreds.
"Where is she?"
"Where is who?"
He grabbed the bridge of his nose, resisting the urge to toss her downstairs, aware that this was his cousin who wouldn’t hesitate to take her down with him. She was as powerful as an ox. However, he knew if he wanted an answer from her, he had to use force and brutality or she was going to play dumb until he got frustrated.
"Nancy."
"Oh... Um... " She looked so cute, trying to think of an answer, Koan had thoughts of fluffy rabbits bouncing up and down. He almost slammed his head onto the door.
What has Nancy done to him now?
He moved her aside with a swift motion of his arm and made to open the door but she held him back.
Not wanting to resist her hold and hurt her in the process, he calmly turned with a questioning look.
"Now you won’t let me into my own room? You’re well aware I just walked out on a meeting because of you two, right?"
"Which wasn’t necessary," She frowned at him. "It’s not like we were stealing anything. Nancy’s just moving in."
"What?!"
"She... "
"I leave my room open for just one hour and you let a pest into my room. I’ve warned you about climbing up on my floor."
"You can’t go into there!" Liliana yelled, coming to stand in his way again.
"Excuse me?"
"She... She’s taking a shower."
"In my bathroom?!"
"Y- Yes."
With narrowed eyes, he pushed her aside and pushed the door open, barging in with a smouldering frown on his face.
Liliana followed from behind like a little puppy, her eyes darting to and fro, a sigh leaving her lips when she didn’t see any sign of Nancy in the room.
However, she had left her clothes strewn on the floor.
"Don’t you have a meeting to get back to?" She asked, earning her a glare from her cousin before she added. "The elders wouldn’t be pleased seeing the Alpha drag a naked woman out of his room, you know?"
"You don’t say... " He sounded very sarcarstic, but she was right.
"I don’t have time for this. Once I get back from my meeting, we have to head to the mountains for the hunters. I’ll be maxed out before night and I don’t want even want traces of her scent in my room."
She didn’t reply, but he left her alone while she glared at him. Her gaze would have even left a smothering black hole at his back if it was possible.
After a minute, Nancy poked her head from the bathroom, her hair dripping wet, her face flushed.
"Is he gone?"
"Yes, but he doesn’t like the idea of us breaking into his room."
"Well, I’m not leaving. It took me almost a week to get access into his room. I can’t leave just like that. He’ll have to learn that as mates, were a couple and couples share things together."
" I have to get ready, Nancy. Koan, Raiden and I are heading to the mountains."
"The hunters Koan sent up there... they aren’t back yet?"
"Yes. And this is the second set of hunters we’ve sent up there. We think there are rogues who infiltrated our pack and are killing them there or something else."
"Like humans?"
Liliana slightly chuckled.
"We’ve hidden our supernatural identity from humans for years. There not even suspects."
"Can I come?"
"Nancy, sweetie. It’s dangerous out there and Koan wouldn’t let you go in the first place."
"I’ll be careful and... you’ll watch out for me won’t you? Besides, I train as well, so I won’t have a problem defending myself if we have to."
"Alright. But you’ll have to convince Koan on this. He has the final say."
"That’s a problem."
"Or we can just hide you at the back of the car."
"He’ll sniff me out."
"F**king mate scent." Liliana cursed and Nancy giggled before throwing her head back in to dry herself.
"Do you have an appropriate attire... for something like this?"
"Yeah. I’ll be out in a moment."
The meeting was over several minutes after Koan retuned. As he saw them all off, he couldn’t help but think back to what had occured earlier .
It was certain Liliana knew about he and Nancy being mates. Why else would she be obsessed about moving Nancy into his room when she was just a ’guest’?
He didn’t want to assume anything yet though.
Soon, Raiden joined him.
"I’ve got the car ready. Can we leave now?"
"Does Liliana know something about Nancy and I? Being mates?"
"No... Well, I’m not sure. You know how Nancy is. She must have told her. Why do you ask?"
"Are we going or not. It’s almost night time." Liliana’s voice startled the two men from their conversation and they turned in unison to see Nancy walking with her chin slightly raised, a daunting look in her eyes, just beside Liliana.
"What are you doing here?" Koan eyes moved past his cousin to Nancy.
"I’m coming too? Is there a problem?"
Kaon brushed his cousin aside again and Liliana gasped as she fell sideways, only for Raiden to lean forward and catch her before helping her stand.
Nancy felt her throat dry out as his hot breath fanned her face, his smouldering blue eyes gazing deep into hers, almost into her very sould.
"I don’t care what your opinions or orders are," She folded her arms. "I’m going."
Chapter 108
"You do know we’re not heading to the mall, right? We’re heading up to the mountains where we send out hunters every month to hunt down dangerous, wild animals. It isn’t a place for someone like you."
"Pity. I’m still going."
"I won’t stop you," He suddenly said, to the amazement of Liliana and Raiden. "However, I don’t want in a situation where any of us have to play knight in shining armor. You’re following us? Fine. But don’t be dead weight. If we have to fight against rogues, then fight alongside us. No one’s going to stop in the middle of a fight to come help you, do you understand?"
"Koan." Raidne protested. Wasn’t this much? It was obvious she didn’t have much experience fighting even if she has trained.
"Do you understand?" Koan asked again.
"Yes. I’m not going to run back into the house like the scraped little girl you believe I am."
Raiden and Liliana stared at her with admiration, a hint of worry in their eyes.
"Okay then," a wry smile crawled up on his lips as he leaned away from where he stooped to her height. "Let’s go."
Raiden motioned for the pack warriors to start driving out while they’ll follow from behind in their own car.
There were three pack warriors in the car driving ahead.
Koam got into the driver’s seat while his Beta and Liliana got at the back, Nancy taking her place at the Passenger’s seat beside Koan.
He ignored her and decided to start up a conversation with Raiden on how the meeting with the elders went while the girls stared out the window.
Nancy feared Koan would hear her heartbeat because it was pounding hard against her rib cage, threatening to burst out of her confinement.
She was scared, fully aware that where they were headed for wasn’t a child’s playground. However, she didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of seeing her nervous.
After an hour and some minutes of driving, they finally reached the mountains. They would have to climb up by foot, so they began climbing out of the car one by one.
The pack warriors’ car was left behind, it meant they had gone up without them.
They made their way up, careful not to fall or slip as they climbed up the mountain using the stiff rocks as a new pathway for their legs.
Any slip up and they could crash down to the concrete floor below and die.
Small debris fell, footsteps crunching against rocks echoing as they quietly climbed up, no one in the mood to speak.
Nancy made the mistake of looking down and gulped, seeing how far up they’ve climbed. She stilled In fright and didn’t move until Raiden held her from behind, snapping her from her thoughts, forcing her immobile legs to start moving.
Koan and Liliana were Infront.
"What’s this?"
They all turn to Raiden who just rubbed his thumb over something on the mountain wall next to him.
When he raised his thumb for them to see, there was a black dust stain on it.
"Smells like smoke." Raidne announced
"Smoke?" Liliana turned to Koan. "Fire?"
"How possible?"
"Let’s head up." Raidne suggested and their pace increased, however they were careful not to miss a step as the path they followed was very narrow and more debris fell which meant that the mountain wasn’t very steady.
Once they reached the top, they saw the Pack warriors bent over the floor, their hands dipped in something.
When they got closer, they saw their hands were stained with a familiar red liquid.
Blood.
Several parts of bodies were scattered all over the place, some heads which they recognized as the hunters.
Their suspicion was confirmed.
They had been killed, but the question was who? What or who had killed them?
As they walked around, trying to look for little clues that could help them out while Nancy stood at the side just watching, not wanting to interfere, she saw a larger patch of the same black dust smoke particles Raiden had seen.
She quietly bent over it and ran two of her fingers across, only to sniff it, her other hand balanced on her knee.
As she did, she looked up and saw something from afar, her azelea colored eyes brimming with an unfathomable familiarity, shades of pink swirling in her eyes as she slowly stood.
Whatever she spotted afar was getting bigger and bigger, until her doubts about it being a common bird cleared up completely.
She turned to the others. They didn’t look like they had seen what she had spotted.
Before she could warn them, Koan said to the hearing of everyone, throwing down something he had picked up.
"I don’t think this was done by the rogues. There are no signs that they could have done it."
"Then what could have," Liliana had a grave look on her face. "These were our hunters. Specially trained and chosen to hunt down the wildest beast that have ever possibly existed. Whatever might have killed the previous set must have killed the recent one ... "
Nancy turned and could clearly see what has been advancing forward.
It was shimmering afar but had a dark aura, emanating a cold throat choking killing intent that made Nancy step back on recognizing what was flying towards them.
"Kitsune." She whispered, her lip trembling.
Everyone heard her and turned, only to see what she had focused on up ahead.
"What the f**k Is that." Raiden said , coming to stand beside Nancy.
Nancy suddenly grabbed his hand and made him face everyone like she did.
"We need to leave, now!"
"So soon?," Nancy gasped and turned, only to see a blue haired beauty with dark gold eyes, floating above the mountains, looking down. on everyone like they were ants. "But I just got here." She sneered with a taunting smirk.
"It can’t be." For the first time, Koan had an actual expression on his face.
Shock and horror.
It was hard to believe that an extinct creature he didn’t believe ever existed was floating just above him.
He glared at Nancy.
How did she suddenly recognize the creature if she wasn’t even born when it existed?
Chapter 109
"Okay now," the Kitsune flew ahead and shot out her hand so that they could all see the dark manna that enveloped it. "I haven’t got all day."
Koan pushed Nancy aside and came to stand Infront of everyone, Raiden behind him.
"You can’t just suddenly crawl out of your hole, barge Into my pack, kill my men and then try to kill us. Are you scheming or do you just have a thing for killing psychopathically?"
"Both." She flew closer and stepped down, her Killing intent so strong that Raiden felt his knees weaken, however, Koan didn’t twitch, even as she walked close to.him, so close, she seductively ran her hand over the rim of his colar, eyeing him with a smile.
"You’re quite the prince charming, Alpha. Guess I’m going to spare your life after I kill everyone, and keep you as my cosplay pet thingy."
"I thought you guys were wiped out of existence or something." Liliana said, disbelief in her eyes.
"Oh no sweetheart. We were just... on a ... how do I say this... vacation?" She smiled at her and Liliana felt shivers run down her spine.
"Why are you here? Just how many of you are still alive? And the first thing you do is kill my men?"
She turned to Koan and leaned closer, coyly glancing at him before running her hands from the rim of his colar to the back of his neck.
"Oh, you don’t have to know... but I can tell you if you willingly let me take you away to my village."
It took all of Nancy’s willpower not to launch at the woman who was bodly gazing at Koan with a sultry gaze.
However, the woman suddenly turned to her and she glared at her when their eyes met, but the dark gold eyes beauty only smiled broadly before stepping back, her eyes darting from Nancy to Koan.
"Interesting~" She drawled to herself.
She stared longingly at Nancy before slowly lifting herself up, floating above the mountain once again.
"I’ll be back," She tauntingly said. "But before then, try to stay alive, okay?"
Without warning, she blasted the sides of the mountains where Liliana stood before flying away in maximum speed, not even giving anyone the chance to react to her sudden change of mind to kill them.
"Liliana!" Koan yelled out in panic.
The hit was too sudden, so Liliana was unable to jump to the other side and fell along with the side of the mountain, debris falling to the ground below.
The pack warriors fell along with her and hit the ground above, their body parts disorienting in several places, blood pooling underneath them.
Liliana was left alive as she quickly grabbed onto a branch which was growing along with other plants at the side of the mountain.
Her entire body was dangling down the mountain of 20 feet, her grip on the branch her only means of life- to hold onto.
Sweat beaded her forehead at once and her heart skidded to a halt for a brief moment as she made a mistake of looking down.
Before Koan or Raiden could even move, Nancy leaped forward, falling flat on her stomach to the ground, leaning very close to the edge of the mountain to help Liliana.
"Nancy!" Liliana almost sang In relief, breathing hard, a small smile forming on her face on seeing her face up ahead.
"Just hold onto the branch, okay? Shift and use your claws to dig into the branch. I don’t think your palms would hold onto the branch much longer."
Lilian yelled again as one hand loosened from the branch before she finally got a grip and held onto the thick branch with two hands.
"I- If I shift... I’ll be much heavier and I don’t think the branch would hold my weight."
"Nancy. Get away from there." Koan yelled at her hysterically, yanking out of Raiden’s grip to step forward.
She turned to them, noticing they were getting close.
"Don’t come any closer. Here isn’t steady yet. We might fall and end up all dying!" She screamed at them and the two men stepped back, staring at her like she had grown a third eye.
She ignored them and stared down at Liliana again who was panicking, but trying to hold onto the branch which was getting harder as her palms turned more sweaty by the second.
"Don’t look down, Okay?" She reminded her and she solemnly nodded.
Nancy looked back up for anything that could help her and she finally found a scorched arm of one of the previously killed hunters. Grimacing, she grabbed it without hesitation and leaned in close- so close, half her body was leaning over the cliff so that the arm could reach her.
It was absurd and completely disturbing- her plan. But there was no other choice. She couldn’t lean in as far as she wanted; she could fall as well and take Liliana down with her. On where she lay wasn’t durable and was likely to fall if Raiden or Koan had to come close, since the same place she lay suffered a bit from the Kitsune’s hit.
The arm was the only strong and useful thing she could use right now.
"Just lean a little bit close Nancy, please." Liliana pleaded, her eyes brimming with tears from the wind, her voice getting shaky as debris fell onto her shoulders from the effort of her pull on the branch, evident that the branch wasn’t going to be durable enough to hold her weight much longer.
Nancy sighed in fear, noting the look of desperation in her friend’s eyes.
If she leaned any closer, she might fall, but if she didn’t, she wasn’t sure Lilian would reach for the arm.
Koan felt his heart pound against his rib cage, for the first time being helpless in a situation, scared for his cousin.
He saw Nancy, holding a f**king dead person’s arm, risking her life to save someone she’s barely known for a long time.
For all the trashy things he’d done to her, this was definitely the right opportunity for her to pay him back, but no. She was risking her life to save her because she knew how important she was to him. She cared about his cousin too.
Selfless and considerate. He thought, a slight glint of admiration in his eyes as he looked at her.
Chapter 110
Liliana flung one hand up, but once again, missed the extended arm towards her. She tried the other hand and missed again for a few times before she finally grabbed onto the arm before releasing a shaky sigh.
It wasn’t easy, but for the next ten minutes, Nancy grunted and groaned as she pulled her weight up while Liliana helped by slightly shifting and holding onto the arm tightly, sinking her claws deep, using her legs to step on the sides of the mountain to support her weight, debris falling down below.
Once Raiden saw her head emerging as she was helped up, he unknowingly released the breath he’s been holding ever since.
Once Liliana got to the top, she didn’t hesitate as she rushed into Nancy’s arm, hugging her tight with dirt and tears on her gorgeous face, her heart beating against hers.
Nancy managed a smile, trying to still her beating heart, but due to her condition, the situation and incident which just occured was too much for her to handle, so she fainted right in Liliana’s arms without her realizing.
It was when she pulled back, she did know, letting her drop unintentionally, her heart escalating quickly again when Nancy hit the ground.
Before she could react, a pair of arms folded her into a hug and she relaxed when she recognized the familiar cologne Koan always wore. She hugged him by the waist, burying her nose in the crook of his chest.
She could hear his heart pounding in the confinement of his chest even as they leaned back, smiling at each other.
"Let’s go home."
Koan said, the hardened expression in his eyes softening a bit.
"My legs are a bit wobbly. I don’t think I can walk." She said, turning to Raiden while Koan slowly bent to the ground, scooping Nancy into his arms so tenderly, like she was an expensive porcelain vase.
Raiden walked forward until he was close to her. For a minute, the entire place was quiet as they looked at each other, until he finally moved, flicking her forehead really hard.
"Oaw!" She groaned and scowled at him, however, it dissipated, when he suddenly lifted her up in his arms, princess style just like Koan did to Nancy.
"Don’t you f**king scare me like that again." He cautioned her, glaring at her, the familiar hint of coldness gone in his eyes. Only relief.
She possessively hugged him, burying her nose in his chest, drinking in his masculinity.
"I won’t..I promise." She softly said.
When they arrived, Lizzy rushed out of the house.
"Oh my gosh! I smell blood! What happened?!"
"Aunt please calm down. You’ll wake Liliana up." Raidne pleaded. He had been satisfied that she had fallen asleep in his arms in the car, but now, all he wanted to do was just place her back in bed to continue her slumber.
"And Nancy’s fine. She’s just unconscious." He added when he noticed the horror in her eyss when she spotted Nancy, lying lifeless in Koan’s arms.
"Can Someone tell me what’s going on?! Where are the pack warriors."
Koan grimaced as he solemnly said. "Dead."
"W- Whaaa.. "
She sighed and composed herself. It wouldn’t help the current situation if she just kept asking questions.
"You all must be hungry. I prepared dinner. Just get the girls in bed and we’ll talk later." With that, she went in after casting nervous looks at them again.
"Take her to your room. She’s probably hurt and she needs her mate with her to heal." Raiden said, and without waiting for a consent or protest, he left with Liliana in his arms towards her room, leaving no room for Koan to even say a word.
The Alpha slightly cursed, but still carried her up, fully aware he wasn’t getting anywhere close to Liliana’s room .
With each step he took upstairs, he would subconsciously peer into the sleeping beauty’s face in his arms, the icy popsicles in his eyes slowly melting, until he found the sides of his lips stretching into a small smirk when she snuggled into his embrace, muttering incomprehensible words.
He didn’t even mind the thoughts of fluffy bunnies bouncing about his head any more. She was just too cute.
When he got into his room, he slammed the door by kicking it from behind before laying her down on the bed, careful not to crush her as he assembled the pillows underneath her to enable her rest her head.
Just as he placed her down, her eyes slowly began to twitch, the corner of her lips moving side by side before huge pink eyes finally opened, staring at the metallic blue ones above her.
For a full minute, there was a complete silence in the room as they just stared at each other, Koan, kneeling over her small frame, mesmerized by her eyes which he never got tired of looking into.
Her brows finally met at the centre of her forehead as she frowned in confusion, wondering if this was a dream.
Yep. It was definitely a dream.
"Koan." She softly called in that meek voice of hers which sounded a bit croaky.
He felt something tug the strings attach to his heart at his name casually rolling off her tongue, like a child pestering his mother .
"You’re tired and probably wounded somewhere. You need to rest and heal." He calmly said, moving off her.
As he sat at the edge of the bed, unbuttoning his shirt while thinking about what occurred at the mountains today, he suddenly felt her move and turned to see her sit up, her back against the head board, her hair ruffled up.
"Wounded?"
"Yeah? You don’t remember?" He turned away to pull his shirt off his body, giving her an exclusive view of his broad back and taunt muscled arms, the veins popping at the side of his neck.
There was a huge tattoo of a wolf’s head, snarling with its upper lips stretched back, revealing it’s canines, its crimson red eyes staring back at Nancy.
He turned to her while standing up, tossing his shirt aside.
"Liliana?" he saw she still had a confused look on her face. "almost falling off a cliff? a Kitsune?"
Realization suddenly dawned on her and her eyes widened.
"Oh," She exclaimed weakly and the next moment, she made to get out of bed. "I need to see Liliana."
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" He got into the bed and pinned her down. "She’s fine... She’s with Raiden, okay? But you need to rest. You can see her later."
She pouted at him and he felt helpless looking at her. If she’d suddenly tell him to jump into fire with that tyoe of look, he’d do it without hesitation.
"I’m going to go take a shower." He said, climbing off her while rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
But she grabbed his arm.
"I- If you want me to sleep... then stay here with me."
"I’m not leaving Nancy. I’m just going to be in the bathroom." He sighed.
"There’s no need for that," She blushed a bit at the raised brow before she continued. "Just stay with me- like this."
