Chapter 111

As she leaned down, lying back down on the pillows, her eyes searching his with fervency, she feared she might have asked too much.

But since he was being so considerate towards her tonight, she might as well be a little pushy.

Koan stared at her for such a long time that she feared he might kick her out of the room.

"You... You really don’t have to." She stuttered at the end.

"If there’s anyway I have to thank you for saving my cousin’s life, then I guess this could be the right time." He sighed after, slowly lifting the duvet, lifting his legs up from the floor, into the sheets.

Nancy jerked towards him with an excited glint in her eyss.

"So... you’ll stay here? with me?"

"Yeah? Isn’t that what you want?"

She nodded cutely, however, she had other plans which she didn’t want to let him know yet.

"What are you doing?" She suddenly asked, pulling the blankets to her chin, staring intensely at him.

He gave her ’What type of question is that’?

"I’m putting on a shirt."

"N- No. Don’t!"

He was a bit startled from her sudden outburst and glared at her with a complicated look.

"What?"

She bit her lip and shyly scanned her eyes over the glistening taunt torso under the lights in the room. Koan followed her gaze before the edge of his lips forced their way up again. He cupped his jaw with the tip of his fingers, glancing to the side before turning to her.

Without a word, he reached over and switched off the lights before climbing into bed, bare chested.

There was silence, as they lay side by side, staring at the ceiling up ahead.

Nancy’s heart was In chaos, thinking how fate had actually brought them together like this. It wasn’t close to a mate mark or any special bond between them, but the fact that she is was in his room, lying side by side with him.

It was almost unbelievable.

Koan on his other part was thinking about the Kitsune they had encountered at the mountains earlier. He had so many unanswered questions in his mind. How had Nancy recognized the creature?

The Kitsune admitted she was scheming? What exactly was their plan? Why were they suddenly killing his kind like ants?

There was something very suspicious about her suddenly changing her mind about killing them- well she had attempted to and had succeeded in killing his men once again, she didn’t really show interest in wanting to kill them any more.

He wanted to berrate Nancy with so much questions concerning how she was able to recognize the creature, but he didn’t think she’d be in the right mind and state to answer so he’d just leave it for another day.

Nancy suddenly turned to her side and just about that moment, Koan turned away from her.

Another silence settled in the room as she just lay there staring at his back, while he tried to sleep, unaware of how his prescence affected her so much.

Soon, his eyes was groggily forced open when he felt something small curl around his waist, a warm sensation at his back.

He almost chuckled at the situation he was in, however he tried to remain indifferent.

She spooning him from behind.

After what seemed like minutes, he finally turned and their eyes locked in the dark, Nancy gulping, slowly removing her hands under the intensity of his gaze.

"Turn to your other side." He suddenly ordered, startling her.

"I... "

"Now."

Feeling a bit dejected, she turned away, pulling the blankets around her body, a bit cold From being rejected; not until she suddenly felt a large arm curl around her waist before feeling her back rest against a hard solid chest.

She cast her eyes down, hiding a small smile, the familiar warm breath of his resting against her neck as he slept.

Yawning, she cuddled, huddling up into his embrace like a small child before holding onto his arm, slowly drifting off to sleep.

"Goodnight Koan." She subconsciously said as she slept.

He didn’t reply, however, his arm tightened possessively around her before he slept off soon.

**

Once Raiden helped her onto the bed, Liliana suggested she wanted a shower.

"You need rest... you’re already weak, you can’t possibly have a bath in your condition."

"I didn’t break Raiden. I just- almost fell off a cliff. Stop being paranoid. I can’t sleep at night with taking a bath."

When he didn’t reply, but just gazed at her with an annoyed look, she slowly grabbed his arm and shot him a helpless look.

"Maybe, you can help me?"

"No," He suddenly got up. "No way."

"But... "

He sighed. "I know where this is going. I’ll help you take off your clothes or something, you’ll seduce me and I’ll end up falling into your trap and doing something to you."

Liliana was suddenly irritated.

"So? Why do you make it sound like it’s a problem? You’re a grown man and I’m a woman. I can seduce you because I’m infatuated with you. We could be mates Raiden."

"Stop saying nonsense Liliana. You can’t just assume that. We could start dating and we wouldn’t end up as fated mates. The moon goddess is very unpredictable at times."

"Then why can’t you just believe me when I actually say it for once?!"

"Liliana... " Raidne sighed.

But she wasn’t listening, she slowly stood up and wobbled to the bathroom, her feet a bit still shaky, yet to recover from the shock of almost falling down the mountain.

Raiden so badly wanted to leave, but he was helpless when it came to acting nonchalant around her. She was so damn clumpsy. She could hurt herself.

Running his hand through his face, he entered the bathroom and approached her. She was tying a robe around her at that moment while a steaming hot water was running in her bathtub Along with cold water.

"That was fast." He commented.

She glanced up at him and looked down with a pout, tying the robe about her.

Chapter 112

"The water’s ready. Be quick about it so you can get some sleep." Raiden reminded her and politely looked away as Liliana stood up, peeling the robe off her body before climbing in.

Once she did, Raiden turned to her And a sigh of relief left his lips in thanks to the soap and foam on the surface of the bathtub that shielded her body from view.

"I think I got bruised on my leg." Liliana complained, looking straight at him without blinking.

He sat at the edge of the bathtub and dimmed the lights in the bathroom so that it wouldn’t disturb the others sleeping across.

"Brusied? From the fall?"

"I think."

"You must have healed by now."

"Well I haven’t."

"Where is it exactly?"

She gently raised her leg from the bathtub, such that her knee was pointed upwards and he slowly gulped, looking at her smooth blemish free skin underneath the light as she held out her hands

"I’ll show you." With that, she yanked his hand closer and his eyes widened when he felt his hand brush against the cool wet skin of her legs.

He cleared his throat and tried to focus.

"I don’t feel any... " His face suddenly froze and he glared at Liliana who still had his hand in the water.

"What?" Liliana played innocent as she moved his hand closer. "Don’t you feel it?"

He tried to pull his hand again, but she persisted, holding onto him with two hands while raising her other leg up, granting him fuller access between her legs.

"Liliana!" He growled in anger and arousal, trying to suppress his wolf while feeling angry that he’d been tricked.

She had awakened his wolf when she made him to touch her mosit warm area down there and now all he felt was intense lust, he wanted to devour her right here right now until nothing was left of her.

A snarling growl escaped his lips and Liliana gasped as she was yanked out of the bathroom and found herself lying back on the bed in seconds.

She was soaking wet and had the sheets under her turn wet as well as she stared up at him with a cautious stare, aware of what she had done.

His hands were at either side of her bed, sandwiching her between him.

Before she could react to his intense breathing and pounding heart, he crashed his lips on hers, kissing her, his mouth hard on hers. She could feel the rapid beat of his heart against hers, the bulge straining against Her naked core as his kiss Intensified.

Hair sticking to the side of her face, she moaned into the kiss, reaching up to twist her fingers in his hair, pulling him close.

She sighed and raised her knees up, aware of the feeling of the buldge between his thighs which was fighting the resistant of the pants he had on.

"Raiden." She moaned breathlessly as he pulled away before crashing his lips on hers after a second of breath.

She slowly thrust her hips forward, grinding against him very slowly and sensually, rocking against him, driving him wild and crazy with desire until his senses turned into a mushy cream.

As he kissed her, he felt his way down with his hand and parted her legs further, earning her a gasp so that she dug her nails into his back, curling her legs tight around his waist as his large finger felt her down there.

"You’re such a seductress Liliana." he groaned before slowly thrusting his finger in her without warning.

"F-f**k," she moaned softly, her nails digging harder into his back, her lips coming to suck at the lobe of his ear, Her eyeballs rolling in Her sockets.

"Hmm... Ahh... " The sound of her whimpers and moans as hus fingers curled up to her sensitive spot while his thumb bent to rub against her clit.

She bucked against him, tightening her legs around him as she felt herself explode on him after seven minutes.

She slowly released her finger from his back, curling Her arms around his back to hug him, nuzzling her nose in his neck as he slowly drew out his finger, before rubbing his thumb against her outer folds earning him a weak moan from underneath him.

She hugged him tighter to her bossom and slowly slept off, naked in his arms.

*

Talia was calling.

As usual, Jephthah picked up without hesitation.

"Hey. It’s 11:00pm. Is there something wrong?" He asked, sitting cross legged on the bed in a night wear, his hair ruffled up.

"Okay... I have good news and," she turned solemn. "I have bad news."

He felt his heart escalate.

"What’s the good news?"

"Really? Don’t you want to hear the other first."

"Not really." He didn’t even think he wanted to hear it.

"Okay," he heard her take a deep breath before she finally said it,

"My modeling agency just called and said I could go back to work!"

"Wow. Talia I’m so happy for you!"

He was genuinely happy, knowing how much she missed modelling.

"So, are you ready?" She asked again.

"For what?"

"The bad news." She sighed.

"I don’t think I am."

"Jephthah." She complained.

"Okay .. tell me."

"I... have to go back to Paris for a year before I can return."

"What?!"

"I know. I know. I also didn’t like the idea too and I just... I don’t know... maybe I should just reject their offer? I called Nancy and she said I should go. What do you think?"

"As much as it hurts," he admits and her cheeks burned at his words. "I really don’t want you to reject what you love just for me. You should go."

"It’s for one year." She groaned.

"We’ll call, face time, and I will even visit... don’t worry Talia. Really. I’m just happy for you."

She sighed before shyly looking down, twisting her bed sheets in Her fingers.

"I’ll miss you."

"Me too."

She smiled tauntingly.

"What was that? I didn’t hear you."

He sighed with a smile.

"I said I’ll miss you Talia," she paused, his deep voice causing tears to pool in her eyes. "More than you’ll ever know."

Chapter 113

They talked some more, after which Jephthah promised to drive her down to the airport on the D-Day.

_

The next day, Daniel was in his office when Naomi walked in with a tray of breakfast

She was reluctant about bringing him his breakfast, but Barton didn’t want to, Aunt Marcy was still in the kitchen and Dora was in her room, on her online lessons.

Was she was done, she’d be all over Daniel as usual but until then, he was alone; on his own.

As she closed the door behind her, she turned in time to see him staring at the screen of his laptop in anger, his hand up in his hair, running through it in frustration.

Files were strewn all over the floor, some laying stray on the bean bags...

The fridge was flung open and a half finished bottled of tequila was lying on the ground.

"This place is a mess." She commented outloud without realizing. Naturally, she didn’t like a messy place and preferred to be clean and organized. Staying in a room like this caused goosebumps all over her arm as she put down the tray on the table before him.

He looked at her like he was saying with his eyes ’My office, My way of messing it up.’

Her eyes met with his before she slowly looked down, pouring him a glass of orange juice.

"You don’t look like you slept like night." She mumbled.

"Really? Did the dark circles under my eyes give me away?"

"Yes." She simply replied and the sarcastic sneer on his face fell. She stretched her hand, and he glared at the cup in her grip before trailing it up to her face.

"Drink this while it’s still very cold. Just out from the freezer."

He looked back at the laptop screen, typing away while saying, Not bothering to look at her.

"Just get me my usual coffee. I’m not a fan of orange juice."

"Drink it or I’ll tell Aunt Marcy you’re suffering from a hangover."

He half-glared at her before swiping the drink from her hand, finishing the contents of the entire cup in two gulps before thrusting it into her hand again, returning his entire focus on his laptop.

Naomi bit her lip, just standing there and looking at him. She visualized him as Little Danny, sitting there, trying to combine both school work and his Alpha duties together.

For Moon goddess’s sake, he was 18 years!

"What are you doing?" She asked softly, turning to stand beside him, leaning in to peer at what he was typing, unaware of just how her prescence, the scent of her and her hair affected him so bad that his fingers paused just above his keyboard, his body stiffening, the muscle in his jaw ticking.

"School work. Why do you ask?" He continued typing away, not bothering to look to his side, feigning ignorance.

She bit her lip again, staring at his serious expression, the coldness in his eyes before returning her gaze to the screen.

She reprimanded herself. Why do you think he’ll still be the same jovial, sweet kid you’ve always thought he was. Now he’s just the complete opposite, and it’s because of you.

"You look like you need help." She mumbled again, glancing around the messy office.

He looked up and glanced at her before following her eyes to his office.

He didn’t say anything again and she took that as a permission granted to help him clean up.

As she leaned back from the table, heading straight for the small fridge in the office, he coyly glanced up and the side of his lips slowly lifted, seeing her waist sway sensually as she innocently walked away.

However, the smirk was gone as he focused on his laptop while saying,

"Every single file in this room is very important to me," she cast him a weird look. "I just don’t have the time to sort them out. Be careful with them."

She bent to the ground and picked up a file. After scrutinizing it, she picked another and glanced through it as well.

Soon, the office was serene, with only the sounds of fingers tapping furtively on keyboards, and someone arranging papers on the floor.

After an hour or so; which both of them hadn’t realized, Naomi got up, holding a stack of files. Without her realizing, the messy bun she had put her hair up in had collapsed, leaving them in waves, down her back.

"I’m done." She said, huffing.

He didn’t look up but pointed at one corner of the table while munching on his breakfast.

"Put them here, I’ll sort them after."

"I’m done... sorting them."

He paused for a while before looking back up just as she placed the documents right before him.

"How? What do you... " As he stammered, he ran his fingers, checking through the files with a frown etched on his face.

"I just took a guess, these files included problems in the pack, mails from the elders, invitation to grand events, complaints from the pack members and newsletter for all the Alphas. So, I sorted them in order of importance. Solving issues, which regards to coming up with solutions to complaints from your pack members should be your first priority so I put it first. Looking into the problems of the pack is second," As she continued, she didn’t realize when she stood beside him, explaining things to him while subconsciously running her hands through the file while he just stared up at her, his gaze trailing over body before stopping at her eyes which was cast down as she spoke.

"This is where you exercise your ability to make decisions because in this time there will be high-pressured situations. Avoiding second-guessing would be you keeping yourself on a safer side. The mails from the elders come next, I wanted to put it as the first but it was mostly them suggesting she-wolves you could make your Luna," As she blurted that out, she looked away with a slight discomfort which he didn’t cease to notice, a small smile slowly creeping up his lips.

Chapter 114

She cleared her throat as she continued,

"Then there’s a new letter which was sent to all the Alphas, with you being no exception."

"What does it say?"

"I don’t know. I didn’t open it." She casually answered.

The newsletter was sent to all Alphas of the seven packs in the werewolf Territory from one of the packs, Shadow Slayer pack. The Alpha, Alpha Joseph, was the oldest Alpha, and had the rights to send out the newsletters every month which contained basic news and other information which could be useful or not.

"I put invitations as the last. Since you now hold the top position in the social status hierarchy, you’re bound to be invited to social events like this. So, that’s all."

He was quiet for a while. This was something that’s been bothering him since he started his school project on his laptop, and with no questions asked, she just helped him out in less than an hour.

"With your speed and accuracy, I might consider making you my secretary or female Gamma or Beta even." He blurted out, however suddenly froze as he felt a chill run down his spine at the glare shot at him from his side.

"There’s no need for that," She coldly said, moving away from him without sparing him a glance. "I’m sorry but I have to reject such a generous offer." As she picked up the half finished alcohol to toss away, she turned to him. "Because, I’ll be leaving tomorrow."

He got up instantly.

"Are you being serious?"

"I’m not one to joke. What did you think?" She placed the bottle away to face him squarely.

"Why are you still adamant on leaving."

"Because..."

"What will you say? You don’t have a choice? You don’t want the pack to be in danger? F**k it!" He swept the files she just sorted and her eyes widened as her hard work of almost an hour was wasted with just one careless swipe of his hand.

"Daniel." She yelled out loud with her brows coming to join at the centre of her forehead. "Just... stop. Stop it."

She cautiously stepped back to leave, but he went after her, leaving her no time to escape as she was suddenly sandwiched between the door and his huge frame.

Gasping, she moved left, but he pushed his hand forward, leaving his palm to rest on the door beside her face. She turned left but his other hand was already palm faced on the door, trapping her, leaving her with no choice but to lean back into the door, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Where will you run, now?" He tauntingly asked and she glared at him, their breaths turning ragged at the limited space between them. Just his chest against hers, his body against hers.

"Where will go? How will you leave this pack if you can’t even leave this office right now?"

"Daniel, this isn’t funny."

"I’m not one to joke." He mimicked her previous words and chuckled at her expression. However, his gaze darkened when she shot her knee, up to his groin.

He had predicted that move since they’ve been in this same position before and was quick to nudge down her knee with his, earning him a small muffled whimper from her.

He looked at her and she froze under his eyes. She couldn’t explain how she felt looking into them. Shades of blue were slowly swirling in them, getting darker and darker, almost turning pitch black.

"You should have just left with them when you had the chance," he said, and watched her face etch with pain as he gripped her chin with her fingers, forcing her face up, feeling the scruff of her mask on his hand.

"Now, I can’t let you go."

"What use am I to you?" She forcefully pulled her face from his grip and stared him straight in the eyes.

"I never did tell you the reason why I don’t want you to leave, so don’t assume you’re important to me."

She felt the pang of pain in her heart increase further.

"You’ve been living here all your life and it’s a sure thing that they’re here to take you with them because you’ll provide the useful source of information they’ll need to invade our pack and wipe us out. You might even be a hybrid who’d they turn into a Killing machine and send back here... Now I don’t want that."

"That’s not what they’re going to do me, let me go." She complained, trying to struggle, but it was futile.

She panted hard in his face while he just smirked.

"Are you done?"

"Just... " She tried to kick him in the groin again but he nudged it down with his knee and she gasped in pain again.

"Maybe you don’t know this but you and I, are very different when it comes to the physical attribute," he put his face close and she held herask to her face with one hand over her mouth. "When you hit me there, just like the last time, it hurt me. It hurts me because that’s my sensitive spot and a no go area for your knees or legs, but when I touch you there with my knee, it’s quite different."

"However," he turned to look at her with a small smile. "Your mouth and other no go areas of your body are welcome."

She blushed and tried to look away but the next moment, a soft moan escaped her lips as she felt his knee settle between her legs.

Her wrist were suddenly held back on the wall and she moaned again as he rubbed his knee in a slow sensual circular movement over her sex which was shieled with the joggers she wore.

"Daniel." She sighed pleadingly, breathing hard with closed eyes and a flushed face.

"What do you feel, tell me." His breathe came at her ear again, forcing her eyes open, her balls rolling in her socket when her back was pressed further into the wall as he increased his pace.

"Tell me Naomi," He softly said, a coarseness to his voice as he bit the lobe of her ear tentatively. "Do you feel pain? or pleasure?"

Pain? Naomi thought, No she definitely did not feel pain at all. Though there was a sharp feeling in her core as if threatening to explode, and a hot unquenchable fire brimming in her lower abdomen, she didn’t feel pain...

No. Not at all.

What she felt now was the complete opposite of pain.

She felt,

Pleasure .

Chapter 115

She moved her hand forward, aiming to push him away from her, but ended up curling her hands around his shirt, squeezing it tight with her head thrown back, giving him a view of her throat.

Without warning, he leaned close and brushed his lips against her naked throat, earning him a gasp from the small frame underneath him, accompanied by a small moan as he dug his knee in-between her legs, slowly wriggling it like he was searching for something. "Daniel... Da... Daniel I don’t feel... comfortable." She squeezed her face as if she was in pain. This feeling was just so new to her. There was a throbbing pain between her legs, as if longing for something... as if it was an itch... she couldn’t just explain it. His knee wasn’t just enough to satiate her. She just didn’t know what she wanted. But she suddenly hungry for something. She opened her eyes and Daniel could see a glint of dark gold brimming in her eyes, swallowing up her previous eye color- blue. His eyes seemed to be glued to hers suddenly, responding, shades of blue swirling in his eyes, turning darker by the moment. "Daniel~." She suddenly growled in a seductive voice, flushed. Her hand gripped his shirt harder and she pulled him close to her. He could feel her breath turn ragged like his did, her body, hot. Slowly, his fingers crawled up her face, aiming to peel off her mask to get a long, deep kiss from her. Naomi was so lost in pleasure, she didn’t move to stop him and only tightened her grip on his shirt until suddenly... There was a knock on the door, snapping the two out from whatever they were doing. Daniel pulled away, his eyes spamming as he scrutinized the red mark he left at her throat from sucking hard while Naomi’s grip on his shirt loosened, her eyes turning normal, fear brimming in her eyes like tears. "Daniel? Why did you lock the door?" It was Dora. Daniel slowly brought down his leg and put a finger to his lips. Naomi tried to staedy her beating heart as she nodded slowly, bowing her head down to his chest, fully aware that her back was to the door. "Aren’t you supposed to be busy on your online classes?" "The next class resumes after some minutes, so I thought I’d come spend it with you- my break." A grin was plastered on her face but it slowly died down when she heard the frantic beating of hearts in the room. Her frown deepened as she placed her ear to the door while knocking- harder this time. "Are you alone? Daniel why aren’t you answering anymore?" Daniel sighed. "I’ll be out in a moment. I still have some school project to finish, okay?" "But you... " "I’ll meet you in your room. You’re distracting me right now." She pursed her lips before she walked away without a word. As her footsteps faded, Naomi pulled away from his grip and finally pushed him away when he was still distracted. Without a word, she opened the door and walked away, her body trembling visibly from what just happened. Daniel squeezed his fist and turned to bang the table before him with gritted teeth. ’I was so close to Taking off that damned mask.’ "What happened here?" Daniel sighed and went to sit, ignoring his cousin. However as Barton picked up the files from the floor, he said to him, "You were supposed to be with Dora, so she won’t come knocking at my door and invading my space every five minutes." "Sorry, but you don’t expect me to stay with that crazy woman for more than one minute. No, thank you." "Hey, can you read me the newsletter sent to all Alphas." Barton peeled it off from the pile of other documents on the floor. "It’s written in red." Daniel stopper typing and glanced up. "So?" Barton tore off the envelope and pulled it out. "It means it’s very important." "Read through and tell me what’s about." After that, there was silence in the room as he read through, while Daniel re-continued his project, thoughts of Naomi on his mind. He’s had his doubts about her being anything special at first, but after what happened now, he suddenly realized that her inexperience in using her powers and living amongst her true kinds forced her to hold back her powers. And he discovered something shocking too. Apparently, without a Kitsune by her side to awaken her powers, since it was believed in by the creatures that staying together heightens and awakens their powers, he as her fated mate could also awaken her powers if he spent more time close to her. What will happen if they get intimate? Would her full powers be awaken then? Did he want that? He glanced up at Barton who dropped the document on the table with a expressionless face, leaning over to pour himself a cup of orange juice. "Well... What?" "It’s an invitation for all the Alphas in the seven packs." Daniel sighed and rubbed his hand across his face tiredly. "Details?" "Date: next week, venue: Shadow slayer’s pack. Every mated Alpha is invited for the territorial meeting. It’s very important." He adds. "Mated?" "Yeah," Daniel frowned at the smug smirk on his face. "Each Alpha is supposed to arrive with their Luna and Beta. Mandatory rule." Daniel glared at him while reaching out to snag the paper from his grip, muttering a curse word. After glancing through it and reading the contents, he threw the paper aside. "F**k!!!" He exclaimed in frustration. "And you can’t take Dora, or any other woman. It has to be your fated mate. There were times Alpha Justin didn’t attend the meeting even though he had so many wives back then, it was because he didn’t have his fated mate then." "You know I can’t take Naomi." "Then you can’t go for the meeting." Daniel shrugged. "Then maybe I won’t." Barton just chuckled. "You have till next week. Trust me. You’ll eventually change your mind." Keepmaybe I won’t." Barton just chuckled. "You have till next week. Trust me. You’ll eventually change your mind." Keep calm and write something...

Chapter 116

With that, he got up, twirling his car keys.

"Get done with that stuff and meet me outside later. We’re heading out today, you know?" With that, he picked the files off the ground and placed them on the table before leaving, giving his younger cousin no chance to disagree.

As Barton made his way down, he found Dora curled on the sitting room couch munching on a snack while writing something on her notebook, the voice of a formal person explaining something sounding off the laptop before her.

He stood behind her for a minute and watched what she was doing with a sneer on his face. After a while, he bent over the couch so that his head was side by side with hers before abruptly removing the earpiece she had in her ear.

"Huh? Da... " Her smile fell and she yanked her earpiece pack. "What do you want?"

"You’re doing it wrong." He motioned to her book.

She looked back at her notebook before staring back at him with a smug look on her face.

"And how would you know?"

"Because I’m good at math."

"Oh please. You’re no smarter than me."

He crossed over and went round the couch, coming to sit beside her, leaving no room for her to adjust thereby, they sat very close to each other with no space between them but a thin barrier of their clothes.

"Hand me the pen."

She reluctantly did and bent down to the book to watch him write, a displeased look on her face. However the expression on her face slowly waned until only a look of awe and disbelief was on her face.

With a smirk, he dropped the pen and leaned back.

"That’s your answer."

"No way. Seriously?" She didn’t realize just how cute he suddenly found her to be as she leaned over the book, her small mouth, pouted as she scrutinized his workings.

"I told you you were doing it wrong."

She suddenly rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"If you weren’t dumb, why didn’t you opt to help me study and do my homeworks?"

"You never asked."

"Well. I don’t need to. From now on, you’ll be helping me study. I have an exam coming up, you know?"

"If that’s how you’re going to be, then no. I can’t teach a drama queen like you." With that, he got up, but she held his hand with her hands.

"Barton." She said in a feigned pleading voice, pulling out her lower lip.

"Don’t..." He suddenly said and she leaned back on noting the icy glaciers forming in his eyes. "...do that." He added at the end before walking away.

She sighed and got up, following him closely.

"Well, you aren’t busy now, are you?"

"Why did you assume that?"

"Well, are you?"

They got into the kitchen and her eyes darkened on seeing Naomi and it darkened more when Barton approached her and the two peered into something she couldn’t see.

"Is that everything?" She heard him ask her.

"Yeah. It’s everything you needed for the picnic."

"What picnic?"

Barton sighed and rubbed his hand across his face, slowly turning.

"Shit." he whispered.

"What picnic?" She asked again, her eyes narrowed, suspicious when neither of them wanted to answer.

"I thought she was going to be joining you guys." Naomi whispered to him but Dora clearly heard her well. The masked woman bent down, pursing her lips when Barton shot her a stern gaze which meant ’Shut up!’

"You guys? You mean... you and Daniel," she turned to Barton.

"Yes. We’re going out. Is there a problem?"

He didn’t want to mention Naomi because even she didn’t know she was joining them, and the last person he wanted to tell was Dora.

Dora folded her arms.

"I’m coming with."

"I’m not Daniel who’ll just blindly follow your orders." Barton started. "If I say you’re not going, then you’re not."

"Then Daniel’s not going. Because he won’t leave without me."

Naomi and Barton rolled their eyes.

"Naomi. Take the basket to the car. Daniel will be down soon." Barton said without taking his eyes off Dora, and Naomi was more than happy to leave, quickly grabbing the basket and hurriedly walking away.

"Are you done with your classes?"

"I can catch up on that later." She replied indifferently.

"This is an exclusive picnic for us cousins. If you’re deaf to not have heard me the last time then here’s the simple explanation."

"Daniel would know better than to leave me behind. He knows what I’m capable of after all." With a sneer, she leaves the kitchen while he glares after her.

**

It was morning and the sun rays from the window forced her eyes to groggily open. Blinking a few times, she tried to turn to her other side, when she felt an arm restricting her movements.

"Huh?" She was confused as she glanced down to the hand of a man secured around her waist.

Slowly, she turned to the other side to see...

A smile slowly crept up on her lips and she turned back, leaning into his embrace.

She had thought it was just all a dream. But fortunately, it wasn’t.

After a deep throught, she carefully turned, cautious not to wake him up as she finally faced him with his arm still around her.

Her eyes roamed down his barechest for a second before she finally lifted her hand to trail it softly around his chest, rubbing her thumb down the hairline that reached down.

Down from his chest to his stomach to his navel. She felt something warm run down her body, causing her toes to curl as she traced the symmetrical line formed by his hair.

Once she reached the navel, she went lower

Lower, almost close to the waist band of his pants...

Until....

A deep throaty growl above her head caused a gasp to escape her lips and in the next moment, she was pinned down the bed.

Her wrist was at both sides of her head, pinned down by his hands, and her legs were held by his, one knee was left between her legs while the other was securely by the side of her right leg.

"Koan." She breathed.

Chapter 117

Her breathing turned ragged with fear and anticipation as his breath came hot in her ear when he said,

"You’ve been very naughty this morning Nancy. Do you know that?"

She gulped and craned her neck up, feeling his knee rub between her legs before he suddenly pulled away, almost like he wasn’t just about to ravage her.

For some strange unexplainable reason- that was exactly what she wanted. To be ravaged like she was the meal and he was the hungry wolf. However, sleeping with him was only a level one stage of their relationship build up... She shouldn’t expect more immediately.

As Koan put on a shirt, he stared at her suitcase, placed in one corner of the room. He wanted to say something but ended up saying something else.

"Freshen up, and get dressed. After breakfast," he turned to her. "Meet me in my office."

"O- Okay." She muttered, wondering why he suddenly needed her in her office. Was this it? Was he suddenly so comfortable with her around him.

As he banged the door shut behind him, she pulled the blankets up to her face and bit her lip hard to muffle a shrill squeal.

*

Koan pushed the door open to his cousin’s room to see her still alseep, tucked till her chest.

A smirk plastered on his face, he moved forward, propping himself down on the bed beside her, only to realize she was naked underneath the sheets when he touched her.

"You and your weird antics." He muttered, covering her up properly before brushing her hair aside to feel her forehead.

Werewolves hardly fell sick, but it wasn’t impossible. However, for someone who slept bare, she could have gotten a cold last night.

Liliana was half woken when she felt a cool hand pressed on her forehead. The first person that came into her mind at that moment, unfortunately, was Raiden.

Her beautiful lips parted as she whispered.

"Raiden...mmm... Raiden... Why is your hand so cold?"

Koan frowned, however, his frown turned to a smile when she grabbed the palm on her hand and placed her lips against it before pulling away, slowly craning her neck up, pouting her lips for a kiss.

At first, he wanted to flick her forehead hard, thereby waking her up from whatever fantasy tale she was in, but he just found her expression really hilarious and cute and leaned in close until his lips was inches away from hers.

Not able to help it, he chuckled,

"I never knew you fantasied about kissing your older cousin."

Liliana frowned, slowly opening her eyes.

"Koan?!" She gasped and leaned back in a flash, scrambling backwards with her arm wounded around the blanket sheilding her bare chest.

Her frown deepened seeing him chuckle at her.

"T- That wasn’t funny!"

"I found it amusing." He countered with a small smile, earning him an icy glare from her. Her face was flushed so he wasn’t sure if it was due to anger or embarrassment. "What were you dreaming about?" Even though he sort of had an idea of what her dream was about, he just wanted to see that expression on her face again.

Her face redenned.

"N- Nothing. Mind your own business."

He lost interest immediately and got up.

"You missed dinner last night. You shouldn’t miss breakfast because your mum’s already worried. She wanted to come up, I wonder what her reaction would be seeing you having wet dreams about Raiden."

"Koan!" She cried out in a pitiful voice.

Koan turned away to leave, hiding a small smile, but she meekly asked when she had no choice.

"Where’s Raiden?"

"Having breakfast downstairs." With that, he leaves.

Sighing, she ran her hand through her hair, not knowing when a small smile crept up her lips as she recountered everything that happened last night. His body crushed against her bare body on the bed, his fingers exploring her insides once again after such a long time. The heat of his lips on hers.

She had missed his touches all these while, and last night, they finally rekindled the long lost extinguished flames of their passion.

An indifferent part of her thought of how his reaction would be now. After all, he wasn’t in his right senses last night. Would he be angry that she had seduced him, would he be willing to take their relationship to the next level? Will he pretend to know nothing about what happened last night.

Tossing the blanket aside, she went to freshen up; which took no less than eight minutes, after which she reappeared in her room, ready to get dressed, when Nancy barged in at that moment.

"Nancy!" Liliana was ecstatic as she flew into her arms, and the girls shared a tight loving hug before they pulled away to smile at each other.

"I wanted us to go down together for breakfast. How are you?"

Liliana rolled her eyes as she got dressed while Nancy sat on the bed, folding her legs.

"I’m fine Nancy. I didn’t break any bones or anything, but I," she turned to her. "I really appreciate what... "

Nancy switched to being serious.

"I won’t accept it."

"What?"

"Thanking me. I just felt I was doing my duty... fulfilling my responsibility as your friend."

"And Luna?" Liliana added and Nancy just smiled without saying anything.

"I wanted to check on you last night but Koan didn’t let me leave the room. He said I needed to rest, and I couldn’t argue further."

"Tell me everything! You two shared a room right? What happened? I almost didn’t notice how you’re glowing this morning."

Nancy touched her face cautiously.

"G- glowing?"

"You know... the after-sex glow!" Liliana shamelessly said.

Nancy flushed and looked down on realization.

"We ... Stop saying nonsense Liliana. How could we just have sex on our first night together?"

"Well, at least he wasn’t reluctant about sharing a room with you. What happened? Did he sleep on the couch? Did he make you sleep on the couch? Don’t keep me in the dark!" She almost cried.

"Actually... We... " She flushed at the look of shameless expectancy in Liliana’s eyes. "I mean... he just... spooned me from behind."

Chapter 118

Liliana’s jaw dropped.

"Koan? My cousin? Spooned you? Like... held you from behind? And you two didn’t have sex? He just... held you?"

Nancy frowned a bit.

"Why do you find it easier to believe we had sex and not that he just spooned me?"

"Because, Koan’s my cousin. I know that jerk like that my favorite color. He doesn’t do that shitty lovy dovy stuff. He doesn’t take his women out for dates, he doesn’t do foreplay, he doesn’t f**k the same woman twice and he doesn’t and has never spooned a woman before, I doubt he’s even slept with a woman. It’s just sex and then you’re leaving his bed after climax."

"Okay," Nancy breathed out, flushed from every single word Liliana uttered, yet pleased that she was the first woman Koan ever showed such affection for. "I won’t ask you how you know such detailed things about him, but... why? I mean... I’m relieved he hasn’t shown such affection to other women, but why is he like this? Was he heart broken or something. I mean someone or an incident must have pushed him to do these... to turn into this cold hearted Alpha he is now."

"Well, I don’t think I’m in the position to tell you, but... maybe if you two are quite comfortable with each other," She pursed her lips, reluctant to continue, but reluctant to stop, seeing the earnest look in Nancy’s eyes. ".. you can ask him about his mum."

"His Mum?" She wanted to ask further, but seeing how uncomfortable the topic made her, she kept mute and changed the topic. "I guess that will be much later. Let’s go down for breakfast. I’m starving."

"I’m guessing mum made pancakes. What do you think."

"Apple pie? Bacon?"

They arrived late, so Koan was already in his office while Raiden was out.

For the next thirty minutes, as they ate, they felt they would explode as Lizzy kept gushing over the two, piling their plates almost every minute.

According to her pestering questions, they figured out that Raiden and Koan hadn’t told her the full story of what had happened at the mountains, and the two girls did the same as well, ensuring they hid the part about the Kitsune, and Liliana almost falling down a mountain.

Once they were finished with breakfast, Liliana suddenly asked Lizzy.

"Mum, where’s Raiden?" She wiped her lips with a napkin as she asked, getting ready to leave.

"He’s training with The pack warriors at the fields. You two be careful today, if you’re heading out." She strictly warned, knowing she was helpless when it came to telling two hyper active girls to stay still at home.

"Sure mum." Liliana sighed.

"Sure mum." Nancy followed suit and clamped her mouth shut when she realized what she said.

"I mean... "

Lizzy smiled at her.

"What are feeling embarrassed about? If you feel comfortable to call me ’mum’, then that’s fine. You’re already my daughter after all." She leaves after flashing her another sweet smile.

Nancy’s eyes slowly welled up at her words as she nodded with a wet glint in her eyes.

"Are you coming?"

"I have to go down to Koan’s office." Nancy explained.

"Oh. Well, make the best of your rare moments alone together." Winking, she ran out the door, leaving Nancy to glare jokingly at her.

*

Koan was on an urgent call with Alpha Joseph from Shadow slayer’s pack considering the newsletter he just read which was held securely in his other hand, while his telephone was placed on his ear with one hand.

"... You couldn’t have picked anytime to make this meeting mandatory for mated Alphas."

The old man’s voice replied from the other side after he chuckled.

"You’re almost in your late 20’s, don’t tell me you haven’t found your mate yet," the man sneered after. "Or you did, and you killed her."

"Why would you think that?"

"I’m ten decades old. I knew your father before you did. I knew you... I knew you’ve always wanted to be a lone wolf. I won’t be surprised if you’ve actually found your mate, and maybe... you’ve done something unspeakable."

Nancy chose that moment to burst into the room.

Koan turned to glare at her and she placed her hand over her mouth, flashing him a solemn look, smiling smugly when he turned to resume his call.

"And if you’re thinking about missing the meeting, then you might as well be putting yourself in danger."

"Danger of what?"

He ignored Nancy who sat on the table, facing him while swinging her legs, waiting for him to finish.

"You know who can tell you this?"

Koan rolled his eyes.

"No? Who?"

"Me of course," the man roared with laughter and his brows twitched. "But not over the phone. At the meeting."

Koan ended the call and tossed the telephone away, his eyes reeking of anger, he was so cold, Nancy stopped swinging her legs, and composed herself without being told to do so.

For a minute, he just sighed and ran his hands down his face, not able to say anything for a while.

Nancy just cleared her throat, deciding If to ask him what’s wrong or just... mind her business.

"Let’s just get straight to the point. That wasn’t your first time seeing a Kitsune... yesterday... right?"

She didn’t speak for a while, slowly wetting her lips with her small tongue, causing a vein to pop at the side of his head.

"Well ... I didn’t see if... "

"And don’t you dare lie to me Nancy." He warned.

She pursed her lips and shook her head,

"No. That wasn’t my first time."

"I’m assuming your first time would be at Dark Risers’s pack?"

Her head shot up like a spring, her eyes getting locked in his like a heated staring contest before she blurted out.

"How did you know that?"

"You guys leaving to the fields, returning much later looking like you went for a dive in a mud pit... and I noticed traces of blood after every single one of you ran upstairs to freshen up, leaving a trail of mud upstairs. And then, you all suddenly developing interest in wanting to know more about the Kitsunes. It only makes sense that you encountered one, didn’t you?"

"Daniel didn’t want us to tell anyone."

Koan gritted his teeth.

"Do you have his number?"

"Yes?"

He stretched his hand.

"Call him now."

"He... wait!"

She wasn’t able to finish protesting before he dragged her down to sit on him so that she was facing his table, backing him, her heart almost tearing through her chest as a low growl escaped his lips, his hot breath fanning the side of her neck.

"Call him."

Chapter 119

Her hand trembled over the screen as she dialed his number before handing it to him, not daring to look back after.

As the ringing sound echoed in the room, he nudged her slightly from behind.

"You can leave now."

She suddenly shook her head.

"I want to stay here."

"It’s a confidential call." He sternly reminded her.

"But I’m your... " She felt a chill coming from behind, so she kept her mouth shut.

The phone was still ringing, so he leaned back with his chair.

She gasped as she fell on her bottom, to the floor, turning to glare at him.

Koan scarcely returned her glare and only went back to tapping his other finger at the side of chair, the other holding a phone to his ear. He however, was not expecting her next move.

Just as she got up, he was expecting her to leave and really didn’t spare her a glance.

The next minute, his chair almost fell backwards as she leaped on him, straddling him immediately with each leg secured at each side of his, curling her hands around his waist and leaning her head down to his chest.

Surprised wouldn’t even be the best word to describe what he was feeling now. He was stunned to disbelief, such that he couldn’t even do anything but hold the phone to his ear and stare down at the mass of curly blue hair lying on his chest.

He sighed.

"F**king kid." But he didn’t push her away. Hell, he didn’t even think he could. She was glued to him like a koala. He could only ignore her completely as Daniel suddenly spoke up from the other line.

"Hello? Nancy?"

"It’s Koan."

After Daniel was done with his school work, he went to his room to freshen up and get dressed.

Honestly, he wasn’t ecstatic about heading out today, since he wanted to use his day of freedom as a means to rest after a hectic week.

What worsened it was that Dora would be joining them, and he couldn’t protest or force her not to comply to leaving with him, because he wasn’t sure what usually ran through her mind.

If it wasn’t Barton who had suggested for Naomi to join them, he wasn’t sure she would have let Naomi come along.

To Dora, Naomi was like an annoying leech, a fly, a pest which she wanted to get rid off, and to stay very far far away from her.

The silence in the car was awkward as the girls sat side by side in the car while Daniel sat at the Passenger’s seat.

Barton joined them after, after arranging the basket and other things needed for the picnic at the back.

Daniel was half-glarimg at Barton while he drove, evident that he wasn’t happy about Dora in the back.

However, Naomi was praying for anything to kill her along the way, because she felt Dora’s glare from her side would pierce her sides and kill her either way.

But, when he heard Koan’s neutral, almost Android Like voice, he stiffened and focused on the call.

After all, there was only one Koan he knew .. and that was Alpha Koan of Crescent Moon’s pack.

He was speechless for some seconds, wondering two things at once.

Why was he suddenly calling him? He wasn’t one to call for a casual greeting. It had to be very important.

And why Nancy’s phone?

Koan assumed he was still too speechless and confused over everything to talk, so he continued.

"Did you get the newsletter from Alpha Joseph."

Daniel shook his head once he got his mind back on his planet.

"Uh... yeah. I did."

"Good. Because we have something to talk about... unfortunately not over the phone." He glared down at Nancy, but stiffened in shock when he met her eyes, only to realize she had been stealing glances at him.

When his eyes narrowed in anger, she leaned back down in a flash and tightened her grip around his waist.

"I’m not sure if I’m coming." Daniel mumbled.

"This meeting so happens to be your first, and it’s very important that you grace the meeting with your prescence. Is it about your mate?"

"Haven’t found mine," he peered through the rear view mirror, and luckily the two women seated behind didn’t seem to bother about his call.

"Do they also let loner wolf’s into the meeting?" He added tauntingly, sure of Koan’s reputation.

Koan crudely smirked, subconsciously patting the hair before him, before running his fingers through the thick locks, softly caressing her scalp, back to her skull, before repeating the process again.

Nancy stiffened on feeling his hand on her hair, but after a few seconds of massaging her scalp, she slowly got sleepy, so sleepy that she wasn’t able to hold open her eyes lids, so they shut closed, her grip loosening around him without the Alpha realizing.

"I’m certain you’ll find yours before the date of the meeting... I mean, everyone is bound to find their mate... just like I did."

Daniel’s first thought was obviously Nancy, but he didn’t want to try his guess at something he wasn’t so sure off.

"Don’t be absent at the meeting." Koan warned, and without a single word, he ended the call, slowly releasing the mass of hair in his grip, so that it bounced down to shield part of her face.

"I’m done with the call now. Are you planning on staying here for the rest of the day?"

He warily asked, placing the phone on the table behind her.

When he didn’t get a reply, he leaned back a bit to stare into her face, only for his lower lip to fall in disbelief and exasperation.

The girl was already sleeping, her arms securely wrapped around him, her small lips parted as she breathed in and out, her face flushed from the heat of being close to him.

Unexplainably, he didn’t even want to wake her up and just went about doing his office duties.

If he did, she would continue sleeping and not distract him since she didn’t snore.

Chapter 120

Liliana knew Raiden spotted her the moment she stepped into the fields. So she was well aware that he knew she had been seated on the plush grass for almost one hour and had been watching him train with immense interest.

Her interest began to wane though, after a long while.

Once he took a break, grabbing a bottle of water and gulping it down while the warriors stood apart, resting and talking amongst themselves in low voices, she got up and walked towards him.

"Let’s train together." She offered.

"We’re heading back to the Pack. The Training Session is over." He replied with a stoic face.

"Why have you been avoiding me ?"

"I Don’t know what you mean." He brought down his bottle of water before looking away, subconsciously playing with the bottle top.

"I didn’t see you... " She reconstructed her words. "You left me alone in bed."

He shrugged nonchalantly.

"I helped you into your room and gave you your privacy after that."

"You helped me undress," She walked closer to him, feeling his discomfort at how close she got to him. "You... touched me last night." She held his hand and caressed it slowly. "Don’t you remember?"

He pulled his hand away, avoiding looking at the hurt expression on her face.

"That was all a mistake," he sighed. "It shouldn’t have f**king happened. Nothing should gave ever happened between us in the first place," he pleadingly looked at and her eyes widened. "Stop having high hopes of us being together. I don’t want either of us to get hurt."

A cry echoed from her chest and came out muffled which he clearly heard, but he made no move to console her even as she ran backwards, ran away from him, away from the fields.

He sighed and looked away, running his hand through his hair in frustration.

How did he want to tell her how he really felt about her... around her

She was driving him crazy with lust, desire and passion all at once.

She was like his favorite sumptuous food which he was scared to eat and cherish because he wasn’t sure if someone else was destined to eat that food.

Last night, he was this close to ravaging her, to eating her, ravishing her till nothing was left of her, but unfortunately for him, he ALWAYS seemed to pull back when he was with her.

He just didn’t want to take things on any level with her when he wasn’t sure of what the future holds for them.

He respects his relationship with Koan and didn’t want to hurt his cousin in any way. The best choice was just staying away from her.

Reluctantly, he turned away from the girl retreating several feet away without running after her, moving forward to train some more before leaving.

He wanted to go back home, but his conversation with her fuelled his energy and anger all over again, and all he just wanted was to beat out all the anger out his body by transferring his fury somewhere else.

*

Koan was just done with work when he decided to carry the clingy human around his waist.

Nancy had been Half awake long ago, but she didn’t want to get off him, so she had stayed still and feigned to be fully alseep.

All he did was type, sort some files, make some boring calls with formal people she didn’t know, but she relished Everytime she spent close to him, and the times he would subconsciously run his hands through her hair.

He had to admit- which of course he would never admit to anyone. Her body against his was like a heater which he would never get tired of using, his fingers in her hair; they were like soft marshmallows, easing his tensed up state, especially when he was pissed off in the middle of a call.

Her hands tightened around his waist gave him a sense of peace... longing peace which he has never felt in a long while.

Just as he was ready to take her away, his phone rang and Nancy’s ears was alert when he picked it up and a female’s voice was heard on the other side .

"Mirabel? Is there a problem?"

As Koan asked, Nancy’s eyes twitched in anger when she heard the bitch giggling on the other side.

"Can’t I call for some other reason than a problem?"

"Well ... "

His voice was cut off when Nancy suddenly sat up, curling her arm around his neck, planting a kiss at the side of his cheek, so loud, She was sure Mirabwl would have heard it on the other side .

"Nancy." He was shocked though he managed to harshly call her to order, but she ignored him.

"W- What’s going on?" Mirabel asked, trembling in slight anger, hearing the voice of a woman slowly moaning, the loud smacking of lips to skin...

Koan was with a woman...

"Mine. You’re mine. Just mine. Only mine Koan." Nancy purred, her breathing turning ragged, her hand moving to curl tighter around his neck, her waist moving in slow sensaul circular movements over his as she kissed his cheek down to his colar bone, to his jaw line, trailing her hot tongue over his skin.

"No one can have you but me. No one can call you but me." She persistently mumbled.

She softly bit him at the side of his throat and Koan released a deep throaty groan, not realizing when his phone dropped on the rug below, as he grabbed Nancy from behind, pulling her close to him so that she was sitting directly on his buldge.

"Ahh!" A sharp, sweet squeal escaped her lips when she felt the buldge underneath her harden, his hand gripping her from behind, slowly crawling down to pull her dress so that it was hitched up on her waist, the linen of her panty and his pants, the only barrier sheilding them from being skin to skin.

Her lips fell open, breathing hard against his ear, she desperately and consistently rubbed against him, earning her a growl from the Alpha before a ripping sound was heard as he tore her dress to shreds so that it came lying on the ground, next to where a phone was still left on, the two not caring who was over the phone anymore, consumed in their lust.

Mirabel sat there, hearing the moans, the gripping, the gasps, and the ripping of clothes before shrieking, turning to smash her phone against the wall, ignoring the Omegas that ran into her room in worry and fear, burying her face in her pillow.
