Ch. 91..100
Chapter 91
Koan looked up and his blue eyes met with cold grey eyes which glared at him like a silent dagger.
"I can’t believe you said that to her!"
"I didn’t know she had f**king Age regression, okay?"
"It doesn’t matter. As an Alpha, you’re supposed to be outgoing and good with people. Almost everyone you meet. You’re lacking that innate charisma to let people know you’re not just as tough and strong-headed as you are on the outside."
"Don’t even go there Raiden..."
"If she remembers this... what you said to her... she might hate you, you know?"
"I don’t care. Maybe if she does, she’d willingly leave. Does she really think I’d just get up one morning, accept her as my mate and mark her? A child?"
"She’s 18."
"With age regression. She has the mentality of a child. Haven’t the Moon goddess insulted me more than enough already?"
"Many men would do anything to have someone like her as a mate. So far, she’s kind, social, strong, determinatined and she has great communication skills. What more do you need in a Luna, Koan?"
"I don’t need a Luna."
"You’re comfortable sleeping around with sluts then?"
"Yes. I don’t need someone to weigh me down emotionally. What the f**k Raiden, her scents got me mentally wagging my tail all day. I’m going crazy over her and she’s the least interested woman I want to see right now."
"It’s why you two are fated mates and will always be."
"I need to have a good degree of emotional intelligence to connect with the pack. If I’m worked up over a stupid mate bond and scent, how do I manage my emotions, especially in a charged situation?"
"It’s one of the many talents of an Alpha. Managing your emotions."
"Send her home."
"Don’t you get it Koan? This IS her home now."
"Okay. Fine." Koan raised his hands up in surrender. "Do whatever you want. But I just want to make something clear. You brought her here, she’s your responsibility, got it?"
He didn’t wait for a reply before he got down, brushing hard against Raiden’s shoulder before leaving the garage.
He planned on training with the Sentinels but opted for his office.
Sentinels was the rank for top Pack warriors who ensured the safety of the pack by patrolling the territory and watching the surroundings of the Pack.
When he went upstairs, he noticed how quiet the house was. On getting to his floor, he expected to see Nancy but the entire floor was empty. Even her bags were missing.
He snorted.
She had probably given up and went off to find another room.
He went straight to his office to get some work done.
He was checking out the profiles of the new group of werewolves he just banished from his pack when he learnt they were helping the rougues have access into his territory.
There were five of them but Raiden had informed him that there were reports of one of them still lingering In the Pack, causing domestic problems for them.
." He has Blonde hair, chocolate brown eyes." They had all described ...
He scanned the profiles of previously banished people and In no time, came across three different people with the same descriptions.
He sent them all to the elders by mail and patiently waited for their feedback on who the real intruder was, while doing other office works.
He did an automatic roll call of the new batch of hunters that went to the mountains to hunt for game for the pack and realized that the last batch that went for hunting hadn’t returned.
Strange.
This had never happened before.
’Raiden’
He knew Raiden was mad at him, but this was business. He had to understand.
’Where’s Nancy’ Raiden asked first.
’I don’t know. The last batch of hunters that went out for hunting last week haven’t returned after a day. Any reports?"
’No but I can send another batch to check out the situation.’
Koan pondered on the solution before concluding.
’No. We’ll just wait for another day and decide on the next step to take. I’m going to send you three pictures of the supposed intruder in our pack. Ensure this picture reaches everyone. Maybe they can help to point out who the recent intruder is. I’ll have some it myself but I haven’t got the time now.’
’The elders must know something. Haven’t you sent it to them.,
’I have but they haven’t replied for a while and I really need to sort this out before the impostor causes anymore trouble in our pack.’
’Okay... So... can we talk about the fact that Nancy’s sudden gone missing."
Koam rubbed the bridge of his nose and sighed.
’You can ask your girlfriend. Maybe she knows about her whereabouts."
’Liliana is not my girlfriend.’
Koam chucked, enjoying the familiar moment of teasing his best friend.
’I want to see your face the day you realize you two are mates.’
’Dream on Koan.’
He looked at the files on his desk before leaning back in his chair.
’What do you think about going to let off some steam at the club tonight.’
’Sure. I’ll bring Nancy along.’
It was his time to do the teasing.
Koan’s face darkened.
’Sure. If she likes the scene of me flirting and probably bringing home a couple of women to warm my bed, then I don’t mind.’
’Are you that adamant about spending another night with women.’
’You understand what it means to satisfy carnal desires. After all, you’ve had your own share of carnal pleasures and probably still would."
’Maybe that’s because I don’t have a mate.’
’She’s only my mate if I mark her, and since that’s not happening... no contradictions to my decision tonight."
’Sure. Alpha. Good luck.’
Raiden said mockingly.
He went straight to Liliana’s room like Koan suggested and knocked, aware of how shameless Liliana could be at times.
Liliana and Nancy exchanged horrified glances. Nancy was trying on a pink lingerie when the knock came in unexpected.
"Liliana it’s Raiden. I’m coming In."
Nancy suddenly hid behind the window curtains as Raiden burst through the doors with a calm expression which turned to one of horror on seeing her.
Liliana hurriedly shut her suitcase on seeing him.
"Oh," his gaze raked over the curtain which she used to shield her body. "You’re here... "
"Did you want anything."
Liliama asked, playing dumb when it came to admitting she knew anything about Nancy than just being a guest. "I was helping her choose a night gown. She didn’t bring a clear pair."
"Okay. Well... since you two are here. I thought I should let you know. We’re going clubbing Tonight."
"Why?" Nancy asked tightening the curtains about her neck
"Because Koan’s going." He turned to Liliana. "lend her some of your clothes and help her get dressed. Wow me."
"I never cease to." Liliana seductively said, running her lips over her upper lip, flashing him a coy smile which could bring any man to succumb to her knees but he just narrowed his eyes at her and leaves , banging the door behind him.
Chapter 92
Brittany reflexively spinned Naomi, making her to face her squarely as she said in one breath
"Come with me to blood moon’s pack."
Naomi stared at her like she was a bit mad.
"Do you realize what you’re suggesting... I... I can’t!"
"Why?!" She looked experated.
"I can’t risk putting another Pack in danger."
"We’ll protect..."
"Brittany," She cut in with a dead serious look on her face. "I can’t. I won’t."
"But... "
"That’s final" Naomi sighed feeling her heart clench from the pained look shot her way from Brittany.
Royce and Talia suddenly came round the corner all dressed and ready to go.
"Babe. Get dressed already." Royce suggested narrowing his eyes at Naomi when he noticed Brittany’s fallen mood.
"I’ll... I’ll call." Naomi managed to say solemnly, watching Brittany’s mood turn sour.
She stared one last time at Naomi before turning away, Naomi’s lips parting in despair and helplessness on seeing her retreating back like a shunned puppy.
Royce went after Brittany, leaving Talia and Naomi together.
The two stand there, staring at each other, feeling akward.
"D... did you change your mind about going."
"It’s kind of complaicated." Naomi replied honestly and Talia raised a brow.
"What do you mean?"
"I have one week left here before leaving."
"Well," Talia folded her arms. "Do you want to leave?"
Naomi shut her eyes and raised her head up, her chin facing the ceiling, her heart pounding hard against her rib cage, her throat running dry as she sort for the answer In her heart.
Did she want to leave?
"I don’t know." she slowly replied.
"Be more specific Naomi. You don’t know because???"
Naomi dug her nails into her hair and pulled it out feeling her scalp hurt at the effort of her torture.
"I want to stay but I also want to leave," She sighed and looked at Talia expecting her to turn judgemental and judge her for even thinking about leaving after all these times she’s been here but she still had a neutral expression on her face. "I wish... someone will understand."
She shrugged.
"I do."
"What?"
"Come on Naomi. How old are you?"
Naomi bit her lower lip contemplating on where she was headed at before she replied in a small voice.
"T... Twenty four."
"Two decades and four years of your life have been based on a lie. And you finally have the chance to find the truth and learn more about who you are and... probably meet your birth parents. If I were you, I would take the risk and leave. I know..
It’s hard with people like Brittany and Daniel or any one you feel sort of attached to here but... would you rather live here and continue the rest of your life in oblivion?"
"What if they just want to waste me. Why are they suddenly so interested in me?"
The thought of the man dressed like a king crossed her mind but like a breeze it brushed past her memory and faded away.
It can’t be what she’s thinking, right?
"If they’d wanted to kill you, they’d have done so a long time ago. I doubt you’d ever get a scratch from them..."
"But..."
"If Daniel understands, he’ll let you go. He knows you’ll be leaving in a week right?"
"No." She sighed.
"You better tell him," She starts walking forward and puts an arm around her. "Before its too Late. Kitsunes are usually... unpredictable sometimes. Still crept out by how they impersonated me one time though."
Naomi managed a light giggle before Talia said,
"Give me your phone number so that I’ll contact you any time and you’ll do the same."
Naomi wiped her eyes as she pulled out her phone with the other hand.
She meekly handed it over and watched as she exchanged contacts.
"Thank you Talia..." She put away her phone and took off her mask, flashing her a beautiful smile. "For every thing."
Talia put her hand on her shoulder this time.
"I’ll try to talk to Brittany but for the mean time, follow your head... not your heart. In some cases, doing the former doesn’t work anymore and only lands you in trouble."
Naomi nods and watched aa Talia went her way.
She stood there, a lost look in her eyes as she contemplated on something before someone suddenly grabbed her shoulder from behind.
Shocked, too petrified to even put on her mask, she spinned around to face Dora squarely.
She had a spiteful look on her face and just at that moment, Naomi’s eyes grew a bit cold when she remembered the ’incident’ at the dining this morning.
"Maid," She called with so much contempt and pride that Naomi’s face redenned in embarassment and surprise. "Since I’ll be staying here... with MY Daniel, I thought it would be nice to go on a shopping spree."
Naomi furrowed her brows and Dora’s eyes twitched seeing just how gorgeous she looked in whatever way her face was twisted.
"What do you mean?" She didn’t want to sound rude but she was a straight forward person and didn’t like to best around the bush. "Why are you staying here?"
Dora’s eyes darkened and if it was possible, you could see some dark clouds hovering above her head at Naomi’s bold but innocently put question.
Why was she staying here?
Because she wanted to of course!
Her Mother wasn’t the type to interfere in her business especially since Alpha Justin approved of her living in Dark Risers’s Pack.
She had come up with a theory which was convincing enough for her father to use- just Incase Daniel decided to literally throw her out of the pack.
Oh Daniel...
So innocent and stupid and...
Her eyes grew dark
So carefree
He has been wise and cautious enough to use protection in all his ’escapades’ but what about her?
She was an exception.
So there was a probability that she might be pregnant for him.
She couldn’t use that tactical reason for Daniel and only blackmailed him using the Kitsune prophecy but at the end of the day, she still got what she want.
Her father let her stay and commence with her plan of getting ’close’ to the Alpha while she gets to be Daniel’s Luna.
This was killing two birds with one stone
Chapter 93
Dora sighed and raised her hands In the air like a criminal in surrender, shaking her head like she just remembered something.
’How do I intend to find it hard to leave the pack if she stays.’ Naomi inwardly said and smiled when Louis giggled in her head.
"Huh?" Dora’s eyes twitched some more when she saw Naomi’s smile. "Goan get a car ready and waiting for me, downstairs."
Naomi’s eyes would have twitched as well if her decency was a lot more composed than Dora’s.
She sighed and was left speechless as Dora stalked away, her hips swaying in a seductive motion that left even her, stunned. For a few seconds, she just stood there and realized three things.
One, Dora had just avoided her questions and she as a common maid knew that pushing her farther to do so would result to her having a damaged neck or fracture or to her death.
Two, She had to find a way to stay away from her. This was someone who wouldn’t hesitate to expose her secret if Daniel doesn’t comply to any of her wishes.
Three, Dora could have picked any Omega in the quarters or mansion. Why her? Of course she had something planned up.
She was caught in a spider’s web, having no option but to be paralyzed and preyed on by her predator.
Refusing to go would result to the appropriate punishment since Dora was an Alpha’s daughter while she...
Well, she didn’t even know who she was anymore.
Then going would result to her walking into whatever trap Dora had set up for her.
Sighing, she turned away to get one of the Pack warriors prepare a car to take them out, anticipating the day.
Daniel, Marcy and Barton walked into aroom. While Marcy had an excited look in her eyes, Barton had a neutral one and Daniel had an anticipated one.
The room was pitch dark, and just as Barton was about to find the switch, the room was suddenly blanketed in a flood of bright light from various luminous bulbs, stunning the two boys for a moment.
They had their wrists up to their face, before slowly bringing it down, their eyes scanning to and fro as they admired the room.
"I... Is this my office?" Daniel asked, turning to his aunt who had switched on the lights and had been staring closely at him to watch his reaction.
She smiled proudly, contended with the anxious but awe look in his eyes.
"Yes Daniel. What do you think?"
"This place is like heaven!" Barton exclaimed before Daniel could utter a word.
Daniel frowned teasingly at him.
"Don’t act like you didn’t know aunt was doing this."
"He didn’t. Actually, no one did aside I and Naomi. We found out that this room was the farthest from the others and you could have your privacy in the office to work or study ... so we did some interior decorations and put in other things you might need."
Daniel was amazed.
"When did you have time to do all these?"
Marcy chuckled.
"It’s been a while but you should be thanking Naomi. She did all the work here. The interior decoration plan, even the color... everything... she planned it out."
His favorite color consisting of orange and lavender purple was used as the wallpaper color while a few paintings of his was displayed across.
Orange and Purple.
How did she know that was his favorite color?
He brushed the thought aside.
Maybe Marcy told him.
A rug covered the entire floor. It was so thick and evidently soft and furry. The table smelt of fine wood and a laptop and some files were strewn across.
A tag, Alpha Daniel, was lying professionally at the side of the table, glinting gold under the lights.
There were bean bags across the corner of the large office, extra swivel chairs facing the other side of the Alpha’s table and even a mini-fridge.
A shelve scenting of the same wood as the table was at the end of the room, waiting to be occupied with books and other office related items.
Lastly, a long couch of not less than 8 feet was placed against the wall, in-between the fridge and a round coffee table.
"...Even the door is soundproof." Marcy concluded after she had explained everything about the room.
"Soundproof? Does that mean we can’t mind link him when he’s here?" Barton asked as he got comfortable on one of the twin swivels chairs while Daniel stood still, his hands in his pockets.
"Aunt, please say ’Yes’." He almost fell to his knees begging while Barton shot him a glare.
Marcy chuckled slightly, holding her chest.
"Sorry Daniel but you can’t avoid the mind link unless you’re in some other pack, and that’s not happening for a while. Not when you haven’t even started school yet or looked into the affairs concerning your pack," Daniel’s neutral face hardened but she continued nevertheless. "You’re the Alpha now. So you have to be clear about your goals. You’ll make some decisions, you’ll make new rules for the pack and there are things you’ll start to take into consideration. You should be a go-getter. Work persistently towards your goals and never back down. Even if you stumble along the way, you decide if you want to get back up or not. Quiting shouldn’t be part of your vocabulary. I hope you’re aware of that."
"Yes Aunt." He replied seriously, all his attention focused on her, not noticing Barton who was checking out the fridge.
"... And Daniel," She gave him a knowing, disapproving frown. "There are several situations where you’ll reach new heights of success. It’s okay to feel happy about your achievements but not arrogant."
"I’m not arrogant." Daniel cut in, almost scoffing. He froze when he noticed two pairs of eyes on him in the room. "Well, I’m not!"
It was Barton’s turn to scoff.
"A quick reminder from me. Bragging about your achievements is not something you should enumerate as a lifestyle Cuz."
Daniel narrowed his eyes at Barton.
"I need to call Principal Matthews and make some arrangements. There are times you might be too busy to go to school so you might miss some days. We’ll need to make sure you have a study pal at school to help you catch up on missed classes. Barton can help you catch up on the recent reports and development of the Pack."
With that, she left, shutting the door behind her.
Daniel rolled his eyes, remembering the part about getting a study pal and turned to see Barton on HIS chair, comfortably pouring himself a drink from a wine bottle.
He sat on one of the twin swivel chairs facing his and crossed his legs over the table, putting his arms crossed behind his head and staring around, nodding in contendltment till he turned his attention back to Barton.
"Glad to see you’re making yourself comfortable in my office already." Daniel said with a snort.
"You mean OUR office," Barton corrected, filling another cup with the rich Velvety red colored wine. "Usually, you’re supposed to share this office with the Beta who’s supposed to come in here to give you reports and sh*t like that but since you’re not willing to pick a Beta yet," he relaxed into his seat and took a swig of the drink.
"We’ll be sharing this office. I mean... what are cousins for, right?"
Daniel snorted again but this time he said with a teasing smile.
"Why don’t I just make you my Beta then?"
Chapter 94
Barton slowly dropped his cup while wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, Daniel watching him as he sipped his own wine.
"You’re kidding," Barton leaned back into his chair and crossed his arms, a deep, smouldering look in his eyes. "Right?"
"I’m not."
"This isn’t something to joke about." He warned his younger cousin, narrowing his eyes at him.
"Yeah. I know that. That’s why I want you to be my Beta."
Barton simply leaned back, covering his mouth with his fist as if he wanted to say something but thought against it.
Daniel downed his drink and reached forward to refill his cup, his face etching with a small frown at his cousin’s strange motions.
"What? You don’t want the title?"
"It’s not that, but me? Seriously?"
"Yes you. What happened? You don’t think you’re fit to rule by my side."
Barton rolled his eyes.
"Idiot. I just don’t feel I’m the Beta you’d need by your side. I mean... have you met me?"
"I’ve met you, talked to you, seen you do a back flip, fought you... "
"That was one time man. And I was 12!"
"That’s not the point. You underestimate yourself and that’s your problem. You’ll make a perfect Beta."
"I don’t even know what Betas do aside standing next to the Alpha like some pawn while reporting affairs of the pack to him like a little toddler."
"Seriously?? Betas are second In command. I agree that sometimes they’re thought of as a much less important person than the Alpha but they much more important than the rest of the pack, and No, it’s not all about making reports. You’ll have tons of things to do. With me studying part time and fulfilling my duties as Alpha, you’ll be of great help to the pack. I might even call you my Luna."
"Don’t say that again. I almost barfed right now." Barton said with a serious expression and it got the two laughing.
"You’ll do great. Trust me."
Barton’s expression softened and Daniel smiled inwardly on seeing his cousin fiddle with his wine glass; something he did when he was nervous. He usually fiddled with anything in his hand.
"You really think so?"
Daniel shrugged. "I know so."
"Okay," He smiled and went over to the fridge, pulling out another wine. "This calls for celebration!"
"Hey! Just know... you’re paying for these drinks. They’re not cheap you know."
"Oh shutup. I’m the Beta now. You can’t boss me around."
*
Naomi sighed for the nth time when Dora disappeared into the dressing room for the...
She stopped counting after the 32nd time.
Dora was a fellow female but seriously? Was this how girls shopped? Each time she found an outfit, she would go crazy over it and would want to buy it at the minute, but once she stepped out of the dressing room literally looking like a tasmanian goddess in it, she would dump it immediately, another outfit catching her interest.
She had tried on almost a hundred outfits and so far, she was holding a bag containing just 20 of them.
What did she need all these clothes for?
She was bored, hungry and angry but all she did was sit there and force a smile or compliments each time Dora ’asked’ her opinion on her outfit.
And this wasn’t even the first shopping mall.
Or the second.
Or third.
Sighing again, she placed her chin in her hand, glaring at the entrance of the dressing room with a pouty face only to be accosted by two people.
"Um... hi." She looked up to see two unfamiliar faces. A man and his wife smiling at her. They had smiles on their faces as they looked down at her.
Her pouty face suddenly cleared, replaced by a stunned and surprised expression as she finally found her tongue.
"H- Hi?"
The woman stretched her hand and she looked down to see a phone.
"Can you take a picture of us. It’s been long since my mate and I went shopping together."
Naomi felt relieved for a moment, and she smiled politely as she took the phone.
"Sure."
She however, couldn’t explain the heaviness in her chest on seeing the couple act lovey dovey with each other as they got close for the picture.
Thoughts of Daniel pushing her Away and acting like she was a pathetic enemy crossed her mind and she almost teared up, cautioning herself for thinking she and Daniel could ever be this close.
Her eyes felt heavy with tears as she took some more pictures and she blinked several times to force them back.
After what seemed like excruciatingly long, almost intolerable minutes, she handed over the phone, trying to force a genuine smile as she asked,
"I don’t mean to be nosy but... how long have you two been together."
To werewolves, it was a personal question considering since most couples wouldn’t like to tell people when they discovered their mates since most Werewolves found their mates at a very later age.
This was why the Two moon festival was appreciated and not taken for granted.
The woman placed her phone away and slipped her hand into her mate’s
"It’s been 10 years now."
The man chuckled at Naomi’s jaw dropping.
"Hard to believe?"
Naomi shut her mouth immediately.
"I’ve never met mates who’s stayed for this long."
"That’s the difference between mates and couples. With my mate, I never just get tired of being with him or doing things with him. I just don’t mind, as long as I do anything with HIM." The woman turned and smiled at the man. They were so lost in each other’s eyes that they didn’t notice Naomi slowly walk away, feeling as though she had been fed with dog food just now.
Who would think she had found her mate? No one would of course. Because her mate doesn’t want her.
She returned to the bench and sat back down to wait for Dora who suddenly came out at that moment, poking her head from the entrance.
"Maid," Naomi looked up. "Come In here now. There’s a problem."
Chapter 95
Once Naomi got into the dressing room, she noticed Dora was reaching out for something behind her, but that wasn’t what caused her to freeze at the entrance of the dressing room, staring at Dora like a stunned statue.
Dora was almost... you could say half-naked, wearing what looked like a bikini with a floral skirt accompanied a net design which stopped at her thighs.
Her entire back was exposed ’cept for a criss cross design which exposed her flawless skin. The upper part of the bikini had a deep V cut that showed her upper flawless skin; her moderate sized cleavage.
What was she wearing???
Dora caught her staring but rather than get irritated or angry, she actually smiled. A broad, smug smile was stuck on her face as she twirled around a bit, letting Naomi veiw every part of her, including the two extra linen which was supposed to be fastened behind her neck.
"Do you like it?" She didn’t let Naomi talk. "I thought I’d buy this specially for Daniel."
Naomi stared at her with a blank expression.
"You want Daniel to wear this?"
"What? Are you daft or something. I’m going to wear this FOR HIM. You know... when we’ll have s*x again."
Naomi felt a cold chilling sensation flood her chest, stinging her heart In the process so that for a full second, her heart stopped beating.
"What did you say?" Her voice was broken. Like a hushed whisper.
Dora nonchalantly twirled again, letting her hair slap Naomi by the side of her face who didn’t even bother to notice it as she waited for her reply with a lifeless look in her eyes.
Dora placed her hands on her hips with the same smug smile on her face as she replied,
"Oh didn’t he tell you? About us in Dark Risers’s pack?," She swished her hair over her shoulders, feeling her heart beat fast and hard In ecstacy of what she was going to tell her.
Yes!!!
She could see her restraint breaking.
She could hear her heart cracking, threaning to shatter.
She could see the tears restraining in the confinement of her eyes.
She was going to break Her resolve of silence.
Right here. Rright now.
"Didn’t he tell you about his one and only best friend?" She kicked Naomi in the chest and the poor woman went flying back, slamming into the wall of the private dressing room and dropping forward on her hands and knees.
Dora sashayed forward with a sinister look before placing her leg on her back, maintaining her sinister smile.
"Oh I’ll tell you... about your mate. The mate who you think will later come to love you, Will accept you as you are... no no... I’ve known Daniel for 12 years! No one. And I mean no one knows him as much as I do."
"You’re wrong." Naomi struggled to say, straining her body up because Dora was slowly crushing her back, trying to force her to slam on the floor, on her face.
Dora smirked.
"You’re just a pathetic maid he’s barely know for a month. All you share is the same name as his late nanny who he cherished... well... before he met me of course."
She tried to glance up but Dora moved her leg from her back, up to her head, forcing her face down with so much force that Naomi gasped but dared not struggle.
If Dora wanted to kill her now, she could.
"He’s never told you this but he loves me! Only me! And how can I prove it, we’ve had s*x. Yes I said it. Daniel and I have had s*x," She glared down at Naomi, smiling like a sadist when she saw Naomi’s tears on the floor board. "Sure he’s shared his bed with several women I’ve lost count of, ours was special. Tell me," She sneered. "Have he ever looked at you in a loving way? Do you think he’s interested in you? You’re not even a werewolf. You’re a worthless Kitsune. An enemy. A sly fox." She kicked Naomi and she fell back on the floor, tasting blood from her own nose which ran down to her mouth.
Dora advanced towards her again.
"It’s obvious why I’m staying back at this pack and it’s because he had reconsidered making me HIS Luna and the mother of his pups... don’t you get it Naomi? You’re not needed around him nor the pack. You’re just a worthless fox who deserves to die!" She moved to kick her again but Naomi grabbed her ankle.
Dora gasped, the mad glint in her eyes clearing as she hoped awkwardly on one leg while staring at Naomi whose face was down, her hair covering her forehead, casting a dark shadow on her face which hid her features.
She suddenly glanced up and Dora froze on seeing her eyes, glancing away to shield her eyes with her wrist from the blind light that seeped out from her eyeball.
A loud thud which could have brought down the entire building was heard as Naomi stood, flinging Dora to the other side of the wall; all in two seconds.
The girl groaned and sighed in pain, about to push herself off from the wall when she felt two hands wound around her throat, choking her.
Her eyes flew open to see Naomi strangling her with a venomous look on her face, blood trickling down her nose while her eyes shone brightly, almost blinding Dora who shut her eyes.
"Just because he had s*x with you doesn’t give you the rights to think you’re above everyone else." She lifted her up, above the ground like she was weighing a cup and with a grunt, threw her against the adjourning wall, veins popping at the side of her forehead, the Killing intent she’s been suppressing all day finally resurfacing.
Another crash was heard.
"Your inability to think... to assume that you’re already Luna just by blackmailing Daniel only shows how stupid you are. So you really think Dark Risers’s pack needs a Luna who can’t express maturity in her thoughts and actions?"
She moved fast and had Dora in her grasp again, ready to slam her down when Dora chuckled painfully before saying in a strangled voice.
"What about Daniel rejecting you? What about him pushing you away from him? You know he doesn’t care about you. You know he doesn’t love you. It’s a fact and you can’t change it even if you kill me now you b*tch!!!"
Chapter 96
Tears dropped down Naomi’s eyes, rolling down her cheeks in waves. She growled as she tossed Dora aside before running out the dressing room, her eyes changing to normal blue.
She left all the shopping bags and everything and just ran out.
She didn’t care about the looks she got and just focused on getting far, far away from the mall.
Dora’s lips pursed into a small painful smile before she sat up, cracking her neck and disfigured body parts which went back to place immediately.
She wouldn’t lie.
She was surprised at the power Naomi just exerted over her. It goes as to show just how powerful she could be if she realizes how to use her powers and control it.
She could really pose a threat to the werewolf pack.
The sound of car’s hooting and people cussing from all sides of the road was drowned out by her thoughts, heavy breathings and loud pounding heart as she ran away from the mall.
She didn’t know where she was heading to but running gave her some sense of peace and calmness to her messed up state as she put one leg Infront of her after the other in fast, translational motion, feeling her tears sliding down her cheeks and flying backwards in the wind.
Her feet moved fast as she ran, not an iota of tiredness or weariness appear on her face.
*
Daniel suddenly bent down against his table, frowning as If he had been shot in the heart.
Barton glanced up worriedly.
"What’s wrong?"
"I don’t know," Daniel honestly replied, holding his chest while his chair scooched backwards with a loud sound before he dropped to the floor. "It’s like... my heart .. I don’t know... it’s just in so much pain."
Barton blinked for a while, getting up immediately.
"How? What do you mean? Where exacty does it hurt?"
Daniel swore.
"I don’t know dammit! All I feel is a scorching pain in my heart area and it hurts. It hurts like hell."
Barton suddenly ran towards the door.
"Naomi!"
He ran out while Daniel glanced at the direction he had just run to with a complicated look, holding his chest.
Marcy stepped out with a phone in a hand when Barton rushed forward with a horrified look on his face, stunning his mother so much that she put the phone away at once.
"Honey what’s wrong??? Where’s Daniel?"
"He’s Fine but... where’s Naomi? I really need to see her."
She narrowed her eyes at him, wondering why he had on such an alarming expression just because he wanted to see Naomi. Was something really going on?
"I was looking for her a while ago but the Omegas told me she escorted Dora to the mall for shopping."
Barton’s eyes almost turned red on hearing the name ’Dora’.
What the f**k was Naomi thinking when she accompanied her out.
Only the moon goddess knows what she’s up to that has Daniel sprawled on the floor like a dying man.
"Where’s Daniel? You know what... I’m going to check on him. You two are so good at hiding things from me."
Barton barred her way, not sure of how his mum would react to Daniel’s situation right now.
"Mum, I assure you, there’s nothing wrong. There’s no need to worry about anything."
"Why can’t I see Daniel then?"
"Guess who Daniel’s making as his Beta?"
Marcy frowned.
"You?"
Barton blinked.
"How did..."
"It was pretty obvious who he was going to choose" she dragged him in for an unexpected hug which left his arms to hang in the air. "I’m so proud of you."
He sighed and wound his arms around her.
"Thanks mum."
There was someone running up the stairs and they looked up to see Naomi.
"Naomi!"
The two pull away from each other as Marcy yelled in shock while Barton’s jaw dropped at the view.
She had red puffy eyes and a disheveled look from her hair downwards and still had tears running down her eyes.
Without a word, she ran forward and lurched herself into Marcy’s arms, crying harder and harder.
The old woman glanced up at Barton with a questioning look of shock before turning to hug Naomi, letting her colar soak up all the tears and snort she had to offer from her deprived state.
Marcy quietly led her into her room while Barton went back to the office, knowing it was better to leave the two alone and check up on his cousin instead.
She and Naomi sat side by side on the bed with a wet mask in-between them. The silence was soul-recking and no one wanted to talk at that moment.
Marcy didn’t want to push her luck by asking Naomi anything which might discomfort her and Naomi didn’t even know what to say. It was as if a sledge hammer was used to slam over her heart over And over again until it shattered and smashed into a million pieces and the tears won’t just stop falling.
Her heart was so heavy .
She had never felt this much pain before .
She subconsciously held the fabric concealing her left breast and squeezed it, closing her eyes.
"I’m sorry but... I really have to ask aunt. Many years ago," Marcy looked up at her when Naomi began to talk. "When you found Late Beta Ray cheating on you with a she-wolf... how did you feel?" She turned to Marcy whose expression had turned grave. "I want to know. Please." Her pleading was like a prayer.
Marcy sighed and shook her head as she looked down.
"I could never forget that day... no matter how much he apologized to me even as the years passed. I Forgave him but... I couldn’t forget that feeling. That feeling of abandonment and hate I felt watching another woman close to him. I..." she slowly cleaned the edge of her eyes. "Standing there, all I felt was hate. I felt that he hated me and he didn’t want me and I don’t know... I just felt every single bad energy I could have ever felt from everyone in my life, just from him. And..." she touched the same area on her chest where Naomi clutched. "It hurt me..
So badly that I just wanted to die."
"That’s why you went into the rogues territory." Naomi whispered.
Marcy nodded with a small pained smile.
"I was stupid then, believe me. I just wanted to end my misery. I couldn’t bear the pain I felt... the heaviness I felt in my heart so the first thought that crossed my mind was how to put myself out of that pain. At that moment, it hurt me but... as time grew on, I came to realize just how much he loves me and cherished me." She turned and cupped her hand around Naomi who looked down.
"I know there are things you might not feel comfortable telling me at the moment but I just want to let you know that you don’t need to feel like am outcast. I’m your mother, your sister... your family and I’m here for you no matter what," her grip on her hand tightened and Naomi managed a smile. "I love you as I would love my own daughter Naomi."
Naomi smiled and tightened her grip as well. "Thank you so much aunt."
Chapter 97
Night came as quickly as the morning had passed. After the girls had lunch in their room, by evening, Liliana had already picked out an outfit for Nancy.
It was exactly 7:30PM as Nancy stood before the mirror, examining herself.
She won’t lie... even she knew she was beautiful but... she was dressed like she was going to hook up with Koan at the club.
She had on an ink black leather gown that stopped way above her knees, exposing her thighs and blemish free legs. However, from the knee downwards, they were clad in midnight black heeled boots.
Her hair was pulled up into a tight ponytail, her gorgeous face clear of any strand. Her azelea eyes were highlighted with mascara and a simple lipgloss was smeared perfectly on her plump lips.
She wasn’t a fan of makeup and Liliana had to literally pin her down to apply the masacara so her face was simple but extremely pretty.
Her only accessory was a simple toggle clasp bracelet and she didn’t bother with a purse and felt comfortable as she already was.
Liliana came to stand behind her with a smile, putting her hands on her shoulders.
"You... look so beautiful. Believe me, if I had half your features, I wouldn’t bother putting on make up."
Nancy frowned.
"Don’t talk nonsense Liliana. You’re a drop dead gorgeous. I’m straight and I think you’re sexy."
"*Cough cough* Alright I get your point. But if this doesn’t get Koan’s attention, I don’t know what will."
Nancy turned back to the mirror and pursed her lips in a nervous stance, subconsciously dusting something invisible off her dress, feeling the outline of her curves in her palms as she took it down.
"Why don’t we ask Raiden what he thinks. I don’t know... I just feel like I’m doing too much."
"Are you being serious now? Have you gone to a club before? You’re dressed more simple and decent compared to the women we’re going to meet there."
Imagining all those women, half naked, prancing about her mate, a vein twitched on her forehead and she sighed, turning away from the mirror. She honestly didn’t want to hurt anyone while she’s here. But could she really just stand at a corner and watch her mate flirt with another woman?
"And remember," Liliana picked her purse and hung it on her shoulder while staring into the mirror to wipe a smudge of lipstick off the side of her beautiful heart shaped lips. Even Nancy couldn’t help but steal a glance at her lips. It’s like it was drawn by the moon goddess herself and placed on her face like a forbidden fruit. Liliana turned to her and she pretended to look somewhere else. "... You shouldn’t tell anyone who you really are. I mean... Koan’s mate. Many will definitely recognize you as Alpha Henry’s daughter but you’re just a guest here. MY guest."
"Okay. For now right?"
"Of course."
"Is the nice aunty coming?"
"Huh?"
"The one who made me pancakes and lunch this afternoon?"
"Oh you mean my mum?" She almost laughed out loud but composed herself, wiping her nose with the back of her hand. "I don’t think she will. Now let’s go. Koan usually works late into the night so we’ll wait for him at the club."
Raiden suddenly flung the door open and casually walked in.
"We need to lea... "
He froze when two pairs of eyes turned to him at once, stunning him.
"Gorgeous." He whispered which they all heard clearly. But his eyes wasn’t on Nancy, his gaze was fixed on Liliana.
Liliana was dressed in the same leather material but she had on a pink bustiere top and a leather skirt that stopped way above her knees. Her kitten heels were pink to match her top and her dark hair was left in the same tight ponytail as Nancy’s.
Though she had on make up, you could clearly tell it was for the sole purpose of highlighting her beautiful features. And her lips...
He couldn’t get his eyes off them for five seconds straight before he finally blinked a couple times, realizing he had been ogling at her, only to turn to Nancy, ignoring Liliana who had bit her lower lip, casting her eyes down to scan him too, taking in the casual jeans and shirt buttoned up to reveal his chest and masculine neckline which got several thoughts running in her mind for a couple of seconds.
On glancing at Nancy from top to bottom, he nodded in approval.
"I have to recommend you Liliana. Koan’s going to be infatuated with her tonight if he sets his eyes on her."
"Thank you?" Nancy meekly said, wondering if it was safe for Koan to be infatuated with her.
"Come on," he spun his keys. "Let’s go. Koan’s at the club already."
"What?" Liliana frowned. "Why didn’t you tell us?"
"What do you mean? Did you want her to arrive at the club before he did?"
"Yes!"
"Look at her... once she arrives, all the males would corner her for a dance, and do you think Koan would spot her. He usually climbs upstairs to his exclusive table to get a drink alone so we can meet him there."
"What if he’s with a woman right now?" Nancy suddenly asked and a gust of wind blew into the room as everyone kept mute.
Raiden stiffened when he felt those eyes on him again before he cleared his throat uncomfortably.
"He usually comes back with a woman after having a couple of shots so it’s best we get there before we’re too late."
Nancy quickly leaves, leading the way while Raiden and Liliana followed behind.
"How do I look?" Liliana asked, staring at him earnestly.
Raiden snorted, trying to sound nonchalant which was the complete opposite of his reaction when he first walked into the room.
"You’re alright. Not bad."
She frowned, almost pouting.
"Not bad? You said I was gorgeous... don’t you have anything else to say." She smiled sweetly and latched onto his arm, almost dragging him down to the floor.
"That compliment was meant for Nancy," he pulled his arm away. "And there’s nothing else to say. You’re still the same annoying Liliana I know... you just changed your clothes."
Liliana glared at him for some time before she rolled her eyes.
"Humph!" And went after Nancy who looked like she wanted to fly to the car and speed to the club as fast as possible.
With her mind occupied with what Liliana said about being more decently dressed than most women at the club, she couldn’t help but wonder if Koan was ’busy’ right now.
Chapter 98
"Here’s your drink. The usual. Just how you like it." A seductive voice was heard over the music, the sound of a glass wine slightly hitting the table following her voice next.
The music downstairs was loud but he clearly heard her even as his entire gaze was on his phone.
She stood there for a full minute, waiting for any reaction, but when she didn’t get any, her smile faltered and she, embarrassed, went downstairs to serve the others.
When he put his phone away, he poured himself a cup of tequila, the scenery downstairs a perfect way to compliment his drink.
If his Pack members weren’t dancing, some were eating, some were drinking, some were already dead drunk and using the floor of the club as a sleeping ground while the others who couldn’t wait to get home were doing quickies at not-so-discreet areas at the club which bothered none as they all were all too many and somewhat didn’t care.
As he sipped his drink, he calmly raked the area, checking for that ’bastard’. The impostor he’s had his eyes out for all week. But he couldn’t find him. Soon enough though, a woman caught his eyes.
This happened to be Gamma Kelvin’s daughter, Mirabel Sam, Liliana’s classmate. He didn’t know much about her but he couldn’t keep his eyes off the curvy woman the entire time she danced with her friends.
The dress she wore left nothing to the imagination as almost every part of her was exposed to the world.
She put on alot of make up and his eyebrows twitched as he wondered how someone could dance in those type of heels she had on.
Her chocolate brown hair was thick and long matching her dark brown eyes which glittered in delight under the flashing lights as she danced with her friends.
He wanted her.
’Amanda.’
He called through the mind link and after a minute, the same maid from an hour ago came upstairs with a calm smile on her face which almost faltered when she saw the stoic look on his face directed at her.
So much for thinking he was calling her for something else.
"Yes Alpha?" She politely said, knowing that she must not dare express disatsfaction nor disappointment in the prescence of the Alpha.
Koan calmly tilted his cup towards a group of girls in hooker’s outfits dancing near the DJ stand.
Amanda followed his gaze and her eyes grew cold when she realized he was going to send her to bring another woman up for him.
Again.
"Mirabel Sam. Brown hair... brown eyes. You know the drill, right?"
Her eyes grew colder on recognizing her. Her father had contributed immensely to the foundation of this club so she has been a regular customer and she had NEVER seen anyone as evil, rude and proud as she was...
Alpha Koan had good tastes when it came to beautiful women but their characters most of The time didn’t commend their beauty. Not even a little bit.
"Yes Alpha." She stiffly said and went down.
When she reached the group of girls, she didn’t beat around the bush and went straight to Mirabel.
"Oh good. A waiteress." She said when Amanda got close, suddenly pushing her empty glass of wine into her hands. "Refill it and bring to me." She ordered.
The waitress’s eyes twitched but she maintained a neutral expression as she slowly said,
"Please come with me to the Alpha’s floor."
"Huh?", She looked up and looked back at Amanda like she was a cockroach. "The Alpha’s floor ? What for?"
’To play soccer... you moron, to see the Alpha of course. Do I have to spell it out for you.’ Amanda inwardly grumbled, glaring at her silently before composing herself again.
"The Alpha wishes to... See you."
’Unfortunately.’ She added the last part inwardly
"Oh," There was a hint of red hue on her cheeks as she understood what she meant. Rolling her eyes In sheer happiness, she swished her hair over her shoulders and smugly said.
"Lead the way then. I wouldn’t want to keep him waiting."
Amanda turned away, almost snorting.
Suddenly, lost in her thoughts, Mirabel bumped into someone as she was some distance away from the stairs.
"Oaw!" Mirabel glanced up like a prowling tigeress, about to rip whoever it was in pieces. Her angry expression finally dissipated and turned to one of smugness when she saw Liliana rubbing someone’s forehead.
She didn’t recognize her and didn’t care to, but her gaze was on Liliana who turned to glare at her. It looked like they had just arrived.
"Can’t you watch where you’re going?" Liliana furiously asked, holding Nancy’s hand in hers.
Amanda stood beside Liliana, hoping the she-wolf would rip her to pieces before she went up to get acquainted with the Alpha.
"Liliana..." Nancy started to say but Mirabel rudely cut in.
"What can I say Liliana? I’m just overly excited tonight. I must apologize if I’ve wronged you. I don’t want you to stay angry with me, because Who knows... maybe after tonight, we might be cousin in laws."
’You wish’. Amamnda said inwardly.
Liliana frowned.
"Stop talking nonsense. Are you still dreaming about having anything mutual with my cousin?"
"Well sometime dreams turn to reality Liliana... " She shurgged and walked away while saying those strangely put words before the music drowned down her voice.
Amanda was about tailing Mirabel when Liliana held her back.
"Do you have any idea what she’s talking about? I saw you two heading somewhere."
"It’s the Alpha. He wants to ...see her."
Liliana’s face darkened.
"Of all the bitches... " She started to say when,
"What do you mean ’see her’?" it was Nancy who spoke up.
Usually, it was hard for her to hate people but she didn’t know why she felt repelled just looking at Mirabel a while ago.
However, she didn’t realize just how much she was going to despise her.
Amanda looked at the new girl. She looked really familiar but at the moment, she just wanted to answer the questions and get back to work. Maybe she came to visit from another pack. It wasn’t really a big deal.
"It’s a custom everyone knows about. Whenever the Alpha comes to the club, he takes interest in a or some women and ... take them home. You understand what happens from there, right?" With that, she left, seeing as Mirabel didn’t need her help anymore.
Liliana tried to talk but Nancy turned to her, her eyes burning with angry tears when she realized Mirabel has long left them and was probably with the Alpha now.
"You see to know her. Who is she to you?"
"She’s just a classmate. What ... are you going to do. Why do you ask?"
Raiden who had found a parking spot some time ago came in at that moment.
"What are you two still doing here?"
"Koan’s with Mirabel..." Liliana said.
"Oh shit."
Before the two could even say another word, Nancy rushed upstairs with such a magnificent speed that left the two, mouth open.
Chapter 99
Liliana and Raiden exchanged looks before running upstairs, almost colliding over each other.
As Nancy reached the top of the stairs, far off, she could see Mirabel talking with her entire cleavage visible to Koan, her arms folded on the table while Koan who sat on the opposite side of the table, calmly sipped his drink, replying with a neutral expression.
Koan froze, the lip of his cup to his lips when the scent of his mate flooded his nose, snapping him from whatever he was doing at that moment. Reflexively, he looked up, only to meet with raging eyes of Nancy Maguire.
"... And you know what, I " Mirabel paused, noticing that his gaze wasn’t focused on her but something behind her.
Frowning, she turned and almost gasped at the ravenous beauty walking towards them with a frown etched on her face.
She gulped and raked her eyes over Nancy’s physique, finally being insecure about herself for the first time ever. She had always thought she was the prettiest and fairest of them all.
Who was she?
Nancy finally reached their table, Liliana and Raiden stopping at the top of the stairs, anticipating what she’d do next.
Koan raked his gaze over her body and for a second, you could note something change in the angry expression in his eyes, something like surprise and lust all at the same time.
Hot,
Was one word he’d use to describe her right now.
Nancy suddenly slammed her hand on the table, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"And who are you?" Mirabel asked in a cold tone scanning Nancy from head to toe, displeasure evident in the tone of her voice.
"I’m Koan’s woman." Nancy didn’t beat about the bush and went straight to the point.
And besides, It wasn’t the same as his mate, right?
"Excuse me?" Mirabel frowned now and glanced at Koan.
"Nancy... " Koan started with a wary voice but Mirabel interrupted him next.
"You know her name? Are you two in a relationship or something... " She turned to Nancy, for a minute, finding her features really familiar. "I feel like I’m being made a fool out of."
"Are you that stupid to not have comprehended what I said earlier. I. Am. Koan’s. Woman. Why are you still asking if we’re in a relationship?"
Mirabel turned to Koan.
"Then why am I here?"
Koan turned to Nancy, impatiency in his eyes.
"You’re here as my woman, Mirabel. Don’t listen to her. Nancy, if you’re here to party, go downstairs and know your place here. If you’re here to cause trouble, then leave."
"What do you mean ’know my place’? I’m an Alpha’s daughter. Despite living in another pack, my status should only get me exclusive treatment here, shouldn’t it? Why do I have to dance downstairs with the others and why does she have to be here?"
Mirabel was getting more confused by the minute. She stands up.
"Sit down." Koan said in a lethal voice, not even looking up from his drink, a vein throbbing at the side of his forehead.
She made to sit down.
"Leave." Nancy countered his words with hers, glaring at Mirabel with something unfathomable in her eyes.
Mirabel suddenly bowed with shaky shoulders at Nancy causing Koan to slowly drop his drink, staring at her in disbelief.
"Yes Luna." She said in a robotic voice and left without even blinking, a dead-pan expression on her face.
Liliana and Raiden stared at everything that ensued with their mouths wide open, even moving aside to let Mirabel pass them by like a programmed robot.
They exchanged looks before Raiden finally made his way forward. However Liliana, held him by the wrist.
"Let’s go downstairs."
"What?"
"They need their space and privacy. What do you think you’re going to do once you get there."
"Okay. I’ll come downstairs. Now, keep your hands off me."
"No way. We’re going to dance!"
Without a word, she dragged him downstairs with her.
"How did Nancy do that?"
"I guess it has something to do with being our Alpha’s mate?"
"But Koan’s haven’t bitten her yet."
"It’s normal for her to use her aura but for now it’s not powerful enough until she gets the mate mark."
*
Nancy calmly slid into the chair facing Koan and folded her arms on the table, leaning forward with a smug, seductive smile
Koan’s brows twitched and so did the muscle in his jaw, but his expression cleared up a bit on seeing her cleavage calling out to him from her leather dress.
"Did you hear what she called me?"
Koan ignored her but glanced her way with a neutral expression.
"She called me your Luna. Do you know what that means?"
"It means you’re already tagging yourself as one when we both know I’m never giving you the mate mark."
She frowned at him.
"Why do you hate me?"
"I don’t."
"Why won’t you mark me then?"
He pondered over calling her a child but he rethought it and decided to say in a more simple sentence,
"You’re immature."
"I’m 18."
"Doesn’t change anything. Mirabel’s just a year younger than you but she acts more matured than you do."
"Is that why you want her?"
He almost chuckled, pouring himself another cup while she stared at him.
"By ’want’, you mean use her for the night as my bed warmer and dump her tomorrow." Koan corrected.
"You... You can’t treat women like that!"
"I can and I will. Why? Do you have a problem."
"Yes I have a problem. You’re using women like... changing clothes."
"I honestly don’t know why it’s bothering you," He poured himself a drink again and smirked at Nancy who felt her heart flip at the daring smirk directed at her. "We haven’t f**ked before and I don’t plan to have anything mutual with you."
"You can’t touch me because you know once you do, you won’t be able to dump me like the other women."
Koan’s gaze turned smouldering but his smirk never faltered even as he drank.
"Don’t flatter yourself. You’re just like the other sl*ts downstairs."
Her gaze darkened and she slammed her hands on the table, startling him.
"I’m your mate!"
"Says who?"
"Me? Selena? Raiden, and pretty much everyone when they all learn the news."
He snapped his fingers Infront of her face, startling her, forcing her focus on him.
"May I remind you, that with just a few words, I can reject you right now and you wouldn’t do anything about it."
Chapter 100
Nancy stared blankly at him as he went back to drinking, looking down at the scenery below.
When he saw Mirabel fuming at one side of club, ignoring her friends who circled around, asking her what was wrong, he finally turned to Nancy again who had kept mute and was staring at him like a startled goldfish.
"And another reminder, When you see me with a woman, learn to keep your nose out of my f**king business," As he said harshly to her, she just sat there, staring at him without a single word. "You don’t have the rights to get jealous because I don’t want you. We’re not mates, we just happened to realize the moon goddess united us by mistake and that’s all. I will f**k anyone woman as I please and if you have a problem with it, then leave the pack."
"So," her voice was calm as she leaned close to him with a neutral expression, a smirk threatening to bloom on her face. "You’re saying... I shouldn’t get jealous seeing you with another woman?"
"Yes."
"... Because we’re not mates?"
"Good to know you can actually comprehend something. I thought you were just as stupid."
She suddenly hid a smile behind the back of her hand as she stood up. Koan narrowed his eyes at her every move, wondering what she was up to.
He gulped slowly as he watched her reach up for her hair band and pull, releasing her hair from the ponytail to fall in waves over her shoulders.
Her gaze never left his even as she seductively ran her hands from her scalp to the mass of hair on her head, ruffling it up, giving her a wild look that made his mouth water without him realizing.
With a swift move, she grabbed the bottle of half finished alcohol and raised it to her lips, gulping a generous amount before he could stop her.
"Nancy... " He called in a warning voice, narrowing his eyes into slits.
"Mm?" She smiled down at him, bringing down the bottle while raking her hands through her hair again. "I’m going downstairs to dance."
He raised a brow. It was obvious he was confused about the whole ordeal right now.
She starts to walk away, hand in hair, the other jiggling an almost-finished bottle of tequila, hips slowly swaying seductively for his view.
However, just as she reached the bottom of the stairs, she turned and said,
"You wouldn’t mind of I dance with a few males, would you? I mean... since we’re not mates... it’s okay, right?"
When she saw the muscle tick off in his jaw, she flashed him a slow seductive smile, catching her lower lips between her teeth and slowly releasing it after getting it moist in her mouth.
"Enjoy the show, Koan."
Impulsively, he grabbed the edge of the table with one hand as the sound of her boot heels slamming onto the stairs echoed in his head.
He released a deep throaty growl at the thought of someone touching her, but on second thoughts, he feigned a nonchalant attitude and reached over for his glass of wine, gulping half the contents before lowering it to the table, wiping his lips while looking down.
*
Liliana sighed once Raiden approached her with another glass of soda. It wasn’t hard for him to walk through the crowd since all he had to do was exert his aura and watch as they parted like the red sea.
No woman dared look at him, knowing fully well his psychopathic wannabe girlfriend was around.
"Here."
She eyed his glass of alcohol.
"I don’t want to drink soda anymore. I want tequila."
He forced her to take her soda and she pouted at him, not knowing the effect she had on him with her beautiful lips pouting.
"You aren’t up to 18. You’re still a baby."
"Huh? Koan let’s me drink alcohol and... and I’m not a baby!"
"I told him to stop doing that. Look, you’re a crazy, psychopathic person, and the last thing I’d want to do, is let you get drunk. Who knows what’d you do."
"Just one shot, please."
"No."
"Ugh! Then just... dance with me."
He slowly brought down his glass wine and looked at someone behind Liliana with a frown on his face.
"Isn’t that... Nancy?"
Liliana turned and her lower lip fell.
"That’s not Koan with her."
Raiden frowned and thumped her head hard.
"I’m not blind."
"Oaw!" Liliana glared at him.
Nancy dragged a random male werewolf towards them by his colar, her hair ruffled, a bottle of wine in her other hand.
The guy was young, in his early twenties. He wasn’t as hot as Koan or breath-takingly handsome as Raiden but he was extremely good looking. His brown hair tussled down his forehead in locks and his eyes were olive colored.
"Hey guys." She cheerfully said, smiling, which was in great contrast to her demeanor which screamed sexy.
The two just stood there staring at the young man she was holding (who didn’t seem to mind of course) by the colar before staring at Nancy.
"Where’s Koan?" Liliana asked.
"He’s upstairs. Enjoying the view. Excuse us." She politely said at the end before dragging the young man, David, towards the dance floor where people had begun gathering to stare at Nancy who had a daring, smug smile on her face.
She looked up and caught Koan’s eyes before she slowly winked up at him, smirking mockingly at the end before turning to dance with David.
Raiden clenched his fist when David cupped his hands around her waist like he owned her as they danced, moving his head aside once in a while when Nancy leaned back to gulp another generous quantity of alcohol from her bottle before lowering it, shaking her head like she was possessed, swaying her hips and and whining her waist sensually to the music.
Just as Raiden moved forward with eyes reeking of anger and disgust, Liliana grabbed his hand with a knowing grin on her face.
"Let her."
"What? And let that man-whore touch her with his filthy hands? Our Luna?!"
"Raiden, calm down," she cupped his face and made him look upwards to where the Alpha sat. "Look."
Raiden forced himself to calm down and his vision cleared as he saw the most shocking scene of his life.
Koan was glaring at the ’now’ hottest couple in the club while gripping his glass wine like it was the neck of someone (David preferably). His jaw hardened in anger and several shades of blue was swirling quickly in his eyes.
Suddenly, the glass cup in his hand smashed, shards of glass flying everywhere, blood staining his hand as he got up after.
