Chapter 241

He had followed them.

Floyd’s eyes widened as he pointed at Jim. “Y–You’re Tim?!”

The bodyguard the Knight family brought in turned out to be the King of Combat, Jim

Ray.

It was as if it was some type of joke. Floyd would never believe it if he hadn’t seen it for himself. Simultaneously, he thought of the scenes he had shared with his idol these days, feeling strangely awkward.

Jim turned to Bonnie. “He spotted us. Should I silence him?”

Floyd stepped back in fear.

Bonnie laughed. “It’s a joke. Look how scared you’ve got him.”

Upon hearing this, Floyd breathed a sigh of relief and walked up to Bonnie and Jim.

“I don’t understand. Why would you pretend to be a small bodyguard at the Knight family?”

“Of course, it’s to protect Bonnie,” Jim replied truthfully.

Floyd’s mouth opened and closed several times before he found his voice..

“No, Mr. Jim, aren’t you Ms. Bonita’s bodyguard? Y–You said you’re protecting Ms.

Bonnie?”

“Yeah.” Jim nodded. “I’ve told you before, Bonnie saved my life. I’m here to repay the

favor.”

“But you’re Ms. Bonita’s bodyguard!”

“I’ve discussed this with Ms. Bonita and gained her consent to come here to protect

Bonnie for two months. After two months, I’ll leave and return to Ms. Bonita’s side,” Jim lied without batting an eye.

Jim was Floyd’s idol. On top of Jim’s superb acting skills, Floyd believed him.

“By the way, don’t tell anyone about this for now,” Jim said solemnly to Floyd.

Floyd frowned. “Including the boss?”

“Yes, including him.”

“But-” Floyd was hesitant. “He’s my boss! If he finds out one day, I won’t be able to explain myself.”

“You don’t need to worry about that. There’s still a week left. When Bonnie moves out, I’ll leave the Knight family, too. Your boss will never find out.”

Although Jim said so, Floyd still had some concerns.

“This…”

“Why are you so scared? It’s just one last week, right? I’ve already said your boss won’t find out. If you keep dawdling, I’ll silence you.”

As Jim spoke, he approached Floyd with a raised fist.

Floyd retreated in fear. Although he and Jim were an even match before, that was because Jim held back. Now, if Jim used his full strength, he would have no choice but to

surrender.

“All right, I’ll say it.” Bonnie stopped Jim and then walked up to Floyd. “I don’t want Ivor to know because he’s suspicious and jealous. Jim and I are good friends. Our relationship

is as pure as it gets.

“If he knew Jim had been with me all this time, based on your understanding of him, do you think he wouldn’t cause trouble?”

Floyd had been with Ivor for many years and knew his temper well.

“Ms. Bonnie, I can help keep this secret for you, but there’s one question I need you to answer truthfully.”

Chapter 242

“Will your relationship not progress in the future?” Floyd was nervous, but not for himself. Instead, it was for his boss. After all, Jim was the King of Combat and one of the top ten bachelors in Pyralis.

Jim put his arm around Floyd’s shoulders, whispering, “Honestly, I think Bonnie and your boss are quite compatible. I genuinely support it.”

With Jim’s reassurance, Floyd felt relieved.

“What are you guys talking about? Why are you being so secretive?” Bonnie stared at Floyd and Jim with a puzzled look.

Jim smirked. “This is a conversation between men. It’s not suitable for you to hear.”

Bonnie raised an eyebrow and clenched her fist. “What, are you still perpetuating gender stereotypes? Is it because I haven’t practiced for a long time, so you think I can’t wield a knife anymore?”

“No, no, I’m just kidding,” Jim said awkwardly, patting his stomach. “I’m starving. Let’s grab supper. Floyd, care to join?”

“It’s my honor.”

Bonnie chuckled and shook her head at Jim’s swiftly retreating figure before following

him.

Two days later, Bonnie received a message from Avril.

“My mom’s birthday is coming up soon. Everyone in the family is coming to celebrate. You must come!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be there.”

After replying to the message, Bonnie changed her clothes and hurried to the auction.

venue.

Today was the annual auction in Pyralis, and she planned to bid on something nice to give as a gift to Avril’s mother.

Heath was waiting at the entrance early. When he saw Bonnie, he hurried over.

“Shepard, you finally made it! I’ve been waiting forever.”

Mrs. Bonnie checked the time on her phone. “Isn’t it only seven? I said I’d be here at seven, and I’m not late.”

“Right, right, you’re not late. I came early. But let’s not talk about that. Shepherd, are you sure about auctioning off a visit to the divine doctor?”

“Yeah.” Bonnie nodded.

Heath scrutinized Bonnie. “I heard that a divine doctor cured the boss’s mother of the SR Alliance. He’s even gone to the Knight family to treat the family head’s grandmother. I’m curious. Why would that divine doctor auction his treatment through you?”

Bonnie smirked mysteriously. “Aren’t you always boasting about how smart you are? Do you want to guess?”

Heath rubbed his chin. “You must’ve met that divine doctor at the Knight family, but I’m still puzzled. Even if you know that divine doctor, you wouldn’t be familiar to this extent, right? Shepard, you’re not pulling my leg, are you? It’s an auction my family organized. Don’t trick me. What if the divine doctor doesn’t show up?”

Bonnie rolled her eyes at Heath. “You’re acting as if I’ve tricked you before.”

“Hehehe, I’m just double–checking and making sure.” Heath chuckled awkwardly.

“All right, go about your business. I need to take my seat and prepare for the auction.” Bonnie glanced at the time and headed toward the venue.

“Shepherd, this is your seat.” Heath handed her the number plate. “I’ll go attend to other matters. I won’t keep you any longer.”

As Bonnie took her seat, she couldn’t help but feel excited about what the auction might

Chapter 243

“Ms. Bonnie, this is your favorite milkshake. I bought it for you,” Kay said, handing the milkshake to Bonnie.

Bonnie reached out and patted Kay’s head. “Thank you.”

Kay giggled, trying to act cute.

Vera furrowed her brows tightly. “Ms. Kay, although I am now an outsider, out of respect for Mr. Orson, I want to remind you. Bonnie isn’t a professional kickboxer. Don’t let her deceive you.

Kay turned to glare at Vera. “You said she’s not a professional? Have you seen her practice kickboxing? Let me ask you, have you ever seen it?”

Vera choked on her words. “I haven’t, but she grew up in the countryside and never had the opportunity to learn from a good kickboxing school. How could she be skilled?”

“Oh-

Kay drawled, “So you haven’t seen it.”

“I” Vera choked again.

“How can you make assumptions if you haven’t seen her? Does growing up in the countryside stop her from being good? So are you saying Trina, who is not your biological daughter, is talented because you raised her?” Kay continued.

Vera was rendered speechless. Each word from Kay seemed to hit Vera where it hurt.

Avril applauded. “Well said!”

Vera didn’t dare to argue with Kay. While she acted arrogantly toward Kay, she was aggressive regarding Avril, glaring at her fiercely.

“Ms. Avril, don’t think you’ll soar to great heights just because you’re collaborating with Tang Fusion Studios. It’s just temporary. Once the collaboration is over, your family will return to its original state. I advise you to avoid Bonnie, or you’ll regret it next time.”

Avril glanced at Bonnie quietly. As long as Bonnie was around, she believed the Smiths. wouldn’t return to their previous state.

“Mrs. Vera, the one who will regret it is you, not me. If you don’t believe it, just wait and see.”

Bonnie was on good terms with Hamish and was dating Ivor. Once the Shepard family

knew about this background, they would regret it deeply.

“Hmph! Advising the ungrateful is a waste of breath!” Vera gritted her teeth.

Just as Vera spoke, a familiar face suddenly appeared before them. It was Jim. Vera

became excited and looked at Gresham.

“Honey, it’s Mr. Jim himself! I haven’t seen him since the release conference of new nanomaterials Ms. Bonita held. I didn’t expect to meet him on this kind of occasion.”

“It’s not surprising at all. Today is the annual auction in Pyralis. It’s reasonable for Mr. Jim to join in the fun,” Gresham said, his gaze following Jim’s steps.

Jim was walking in their direction.

Seeing this, Gresham immediately came up with a plan and went to greet Jim.

“Mr. Jim, hello, I am the general manager of Shepard Group, my name is-”

Before Gresham could finish his words, Jim had already ignored him and passed by. It was so embarrassing.

Gresham caught sight of many people around them sneering, even gossiping.

Chapter 244

“Gresham overestimated himself by trying to strike up someone commented.

a conversation with Mr. Jim,”

“How can a small company like Shepard Group think they’re worthy of Mr. Jim’s attention? Even I wouldn’t dare talk to Mr. Jim so casually.”

“Exactly! It’s not Mr. Jim’s fault. With so many people here, if everyone acted like Gresham, ignoring their status and chatting with Mr. Jim, wouldn’t Mr. Jim be annoyed? Gresham should know his place.”

Gresham blushed with embarrassment. Indeed, he could not climb to Jim’s level.

However, considering the risks and benefits, Gresham had to converse with Jim earlier. As he was thinking this, he saw Jim sitting behind Bonnie.

“Bonnie has such good luck. Mr. Jim is sitting behind her,” Gresham exclaimed with envy.

Trina opened her mouth. She had long known about the close relationship between Bonnie and Jim. She had never dared to tell her parents about it, fearing they would redirect some of their kindness toward Bonnie.

Watching Bonnie sitting in front of her, Trina was sure that this was not just luck, as Gresham claimed, but something Jim had arranged instead.

Avril shook Bonnie’s arm excitedly. “Mr. Jim! It’s Mr. Jim! Oh my god! I finally saw him in person! I’m so excited!”

As she spoke, Avril exaggeratedly pinched her philtrum.

Bonnie looked at Avril with some surprise. “You’re just a girl and not into combat. Why are you so excited to see Mr. Jim?”

In response to Bonnie’s question, Avril looked at her with an incredulous expression.

“Bonnie, are you okay? Do I have to be into kickboxing to get excited about meeting Mr. Jim? He’s the King of Combat! Most importantly, he’s one of our city’s most eligible bachelors. Not only is he powerful, but he’s also handsome and manly.”

Bonnie detected a hint of something different in Avril’s tone and looked at her with a raised eyebrow. “Do you have a crush on him?”

Avril’s face instantly turned red. “What nonsense are you talking about? Gross, I just admire him. That’s all.”

“Oh? Since it’s just pure admiration, why are you blushing?” Bonnie teased.

“I’m not blushing!”

“In that case, I was thinking of introducing you two, but if you don’t like him, then I won’t do it,” Bonnie joked.

Avril’s eyes widened, staring at Bonnie. “Are you…Are you telling me you know Mr. Jim?”

Bonnie nodded with a smile. “Yes.”

“You… Are you kidding me? How could you possibly know Mr. Jim?” Avril couldn’t

believe it.

“If you don’t believe me, I’ll bring him along, and we can grab a meal together after the

auction ends.”

Avril continued to stare at Bonnie, unable to detect any trace of falsehood in her eyes.

“D–Do you know Mr. Jim?” Avril’s tone still carried a hint of doubt.

“You’ll find out after the auction ends,” Bonnie said mysteriously.

Avril glanced at Bonnie, then quietly turned to look at Jim.

“If you know him, why didn’t Mr. Jim come over to greet you? And you didn’t greet him either. You two acted like strangers,” Avril questioned..

“If we did that, it would be too pretentious. I don’t like being so flashy,” Bonnie explained.

Chapter 245

Avril’s mind started to feel muddled, unable to discern whether Bonnie was teasing her or truly knew Jim.

Soon, the auction began.

The first item up for auction was a pair bracelets.

“Wow! They’re so beautiful!” Avril’s eyes lit up as she stared at the items on the auction platform.

Bonnie examined them closely. “These bracelets are indeed nice. Do you like them?”

“Of course I do.” Avril stretched her hand toward Bonnie, jokingly saying, “Look at my wrist. It’s missing a jade bracelet like this one. However, these bracelets are expensive, so I’ll just admire them from afar.”

Bonnie narrowed her eyes slightly at the beautiful bracelets and then shifted her gaze back to the stage.

Trina, like Avril, had stars in her eyes. “Hadwin, those bracelets are so pretty!”

Hadwin affectionately wrapped his arms around Trina’s waist. “Since you like them, I’ll

bid for them for you.”

“No, no, it’s too expensive. You don’t have to waste money,” Trina pretended to be very sensible, constantly eyeing the bracelets. She looked like she liked them but was unwilling to let him spend money.

“You’re my woman. Spending on you isn’t a waste. Wait, I’ll bid for them right away.”

Trina felt moved, leaning into Hadwin’s embrace.

“Ugh, I can’t stand this lovey–dovey stuff. It’s disgusting and inappropriate,” Avril said, rubbing her arms with goosebumps. Then, she turned to Bonnie. “Luckily, he broke off the engagement with you. Otherwise, that pig you’ve snatched you up.”

Bonnie glanced at the loving couple and said calmly, “Even if he didn’t break off the engagement, I would’ve broken it off with him.”

“Exactly. That kind of tasteless scum doesn’t deserve you at all,” Kay crossed her arms

and scoffed.

Not long after, Heath stepped onto the stage as the auctioneer.

In the private room, when Ivor saw Heath, he murmured, “Huh? It’s him.”

“Who?” Ged had been busy drinking tea and hadn’t noticed, but hearing Ivor’s confusion, he redirected his gaze to the auctioneer.

“Isn’t that the guy beside Ms. Bonnie when you challenged her to a chess game? He’s the auctioneer for this event? I remember his name being Mr. Heath. The Rice family organizes this auction yearly. It’s been around for centuries. He happens to have the same surname as the Rice family. What’s his relationship with them?”

Ivor pondered before responding, “I remember the Rice family has three daughters and one son.”

Ged’s eyes lit up. “Are you saying this Heath could be the eldest son of the Rice family?”

“It’s possible, but Rice is a prominent family, so he might not necessarily be the eldest son,” Ivor analyzed with narrowed eyes.

Ged took a deep breath. “Wow, the Rice family is no ordinary wealthy family. Their background extends back hundreds of years, and they’ve produced several powerful masters. With such a background, if he is the eldest son of the Rice family, then Ms. Bonnie is truly remarkable to befriend someone from such an illustrious family.”

Heath stood on the stage, scanning the room. When he saw Bonnie, he smiled and

nodded.

“Huh?” Avril was momentarily stunned. “Bonnie, the auctioneer just now seemed to have looked in our direction.”

Bonnie replied calmly, “You must be mistaken.”

“Really?” Avril scratched her head. She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but she had indeed seen the auctioneer look their way just now, and she thought she had seen Bonnie nod in response.

However, after seeing Bonnie’s calm demeanor, she began doubting herself.

“The first item for auction is a pair of ice jade bracelets. There’s no need for an

introduction. The starting price is four hundred grand, with no less than ten thousand increments. Let the bidding begin!”

Chapter 246

“480 thousand.”

Many people were bidding.

Hadwin raised his paddle. “700 thousand.”

This statement immediately caused a stir.

“Wow! He raised it so high right off the bat. It looks like he’s determined to win!”

“Sigh, it’s one thing to compete at 400 thousand, but jumping straight to 700 thousand for a pair of ice jade bracelets? I’ll pass. Even if you’re rich, you shouldn’t be so reckless.”

“In the end, we just don’t have enough money.”

Hadwin accepted the envious or admiring looks from the crowd, raising his chin proudly, his vanity greatly satisfied. It was also the most crucial purpose of his bidding for the jade

bracelets for Trina.

Trina felt moved. “Hadwin, thank you.”

As she threw herself into his arms, she glanced at Bonnie provocatively.

Vera and Gresham were also pleased with Hadwin’s performance. They were relieved that Trina had risen to prominence after Hadwin broke off his engagement with Bonnie. Otherwise, their family would have no one to cling to.

For a man to bid at seven hundred grand for a pair of ice jade bracelets, the Shepards knew they should not mess with him.

At this moment, Bonnie spoke up. “1.4 million.”

The entire auction venue instantly fell silent.

Followed by a loud buzz, everyone began to whisper, their curious gazes turning toward

Bonnie.

“Who is that woman? Is she crazy? She just doubled the bid?”

“You’re the crazy one. Bonnie’s just wealthy. What’s wrong with having a lot of money?”

Avril’s jaw dropped as she turned to look at Bonnie. “Bonnie, what are you doing? Where

did you get so much money from?” Avril thought of Ivor and frowned.

Then, she questioned, “You’re not letting Mr. Ivor pay for you, right? Bonnie, I consider you a friend, so don’t get angry at what I’m about to say.”

Bonnie just looked at Avril.

Avril bit her lip. “Um, I remember you said that you and Mr. Ivor haven’t fully confirmed your relationship yet. Even if you become a couple, it’s best not to rely on men too much for money. What if things go south, and he asks you for money?

“Well, let’s step back a bit. Mr. Ivor has plenty of money and doesn’t care about that little amount. But it’s not good for a girl to take money from her boyfriend.”

After hearing Avril’s words, Bonnie felt deeply touched.

Only a true friend would say such things. It showed how good the friend she had made

was.

Bonnie patted Avril’s hand and smiled. “You’re right. Girls should be financially

independent and shouldn’t treat men as ATMs. We have hands and feet, and we can earn our own money. Besides, who says women are inferior to men? Many men are not as good as women in their jobs.”

“Exactly! I completely agree with what you’re saying! It’s just ” Avril frowned, “What about that 1.4 million?”

Chapter 247

Bonnie didn’t know how to react. “I never intended to spend Ivor’s money. I have my own money.”

“You have your own money? Where did you get the money from?” Avril was doubtful.

On the stage, Heath continued, “1.4 million once, 1.4 million twice, anyone else bidding?”

Hadwin looked at Bonnie resentfully. Bonnie now took all the limelight he had just stolen.

Trina’s family was astonished. The person supporting Bonnie let her spend 1.4 million to buy a pair of jade bracelets.

Hadwin was so angry his teeth were almost grinding to dust, and he was almost out of breath.

“1.45 million.”

Bonnie raised her paddle. “2.8 million”

The crowd gasped in shock.

Bonnie’s pocket ran deep. Compared to Bonnie, Hadwin looked like a clown.

At this moment, the embarrassed Hadwin hung his head low, ashamed. It was too embarrassing.

Trina’s family was even more shocked.

1.4 million had already made them pale, but Bonnie didn’t hesitate to bid 2.8 million.

They all wondered who was backing Bonnie.

“2.8 million, sold!” Heath declared with a final hammer strike. “The pair of ice jade bracelets belong to bidder number 98.”

After Bonnie paid, the ice jade bracelets were delivered to her.

“Here, for you, one each.” Bonnie handed one of the bracelets to Avril and the other to

Kay.

Kay didn’t hesitate to accept it. “Thank you, Ms. Bonnie.”

Avril was stunned. Her mouth hung open wide. “You–You’re giving this to me?”

Bonnie nodded. “Yes, didn’t you say you liked it? You even extended your hand to me, saying your wrist was missing such an ice jade bracelet.”

Upon hearing this, Avril’s head went blank.

Bonnie’s purpose in bidding for these jade bracelets was to give them to her.

As she thought about it, tears welled up in Avril’s eyes.

“Bonnie, you’re… you’re too kind to me. I don’t even know how to repay you.

“What nonsense are you talking about? Aren’t we friends? Friends need to repay each other.”

Bonnie felt moved to see Avril shedding tears, so she took a tissue and wiped them away.

“But this is too precious,” Avril hesitated.

“Precious? It’s just 2.8 million.” Bonnie shrugged indifferently.

Avril stared at Bonnie blankly, realizing that the more she spent time with Bonnie, the more mysterious she seemed. She was full of surprises.

Trina, with jealousy burning in her eyes, looked at Vera. “Ah, Bonnie is something. She spent 2.8 million to buy a pair of ice jade bracelets to give them away.

Vera was already feeling uncomfortable, and after hearing Trina’s words, her eyes seemed to spew fire.

Even though Bonnie had no relationship with them anymore, they couldn’t help but feel resentful, watching her give away such expensive bracelets that she had bought.

“What does it matter? Also, she is not your sister. She doesn’t deserve to be your sister. Understand?”

Trina obediently nodded. “Sorry, Mom, I know.”

Halfway through the auction, Bonnie finally found a suitable item to give to Lisa.

“A hundred–year–old ginseng, perfectly preserved. Everyone can see its quality. It’s priceless. I won’t waste everyone’s time. The starting bid is 200 thousand,” Heath announced.

“The quality of this item is truly outstanding!” Gresham exclaimed. “I wonder which big

shot will be able to take it home tonight.”

Chapter 248

Demetria looked at Hadwin. “Your grandfather’s birthday is coming up. Find a way to

win it.”

“Okay, Mom.” Hadwin raised his paddle.

“210 thousand,” he bid.

Before his words had even settled, someone else bid.

“250 thousand.”

“2 million.”

“2.5 million.”

Before Hadwin could drop his paddle, the bid reached seven million.

“Damn it! What are you all fighting for?” Hadwin raised his paddle again. “Seven million.

“30 million,” Bonnie bid.

Hadwin remained frozen in the position of lowering his paddle, stiffly turning his head

to look at Bonnie.

$

Bonnie bid such a large sum. She seemed to have no fear that her backer wouldn’t give her that much money one would give their mistress such a massive sum.

It shocked Avril and Kay.

Then, Kay leaned over to Bonnie and whispered, “Ms. Bonnie, if you can’t come up with that much money, I can sponsor you. Of course, it’s not free. When you have time, teach

me a few more moves.”

Kay knew Bonnie had a strong sense of pride and didn’t like taking advantage of others,

which was why she said that.

Bonnie looked at Kay calmly. “No need for your help. I can manage.”

At this time, another bidder entered.

“35 million.”

Bonnie immediately followed up. “70 million.”

Gasps filled the room.

In the VIP room upstairs, Ged’s gaze turned away from Bonnie.

“Ivor, Bonnie stole the show today. But from what I know about her, she probably won’t ask you for money, right?”

“She has it.” Ivor lifted his teacup, enjoying the sight of the girl’s stunning beauty while sipping his tea.

“You mean the money she tricked out of Xavier last time?” Ged recalled and asked.

Ivor corrected severely, “She didn’t trick Xavier. She outsmarted him.”

“Tsk tsk tsk-“Ged clicked his tongue. “I didn’t expect you to be so defensive. Okay, okay, she didn’t trick him. Bonnie outsmarted him with her intelligence.

“Speaking of which, I’m curious. How did Bonnie make Xavier lose so much money? He didn’t even come knocking at her door afterward.” Ged raised his brows.

Ivor raised his eyebrows thoughtfully. “I asked her about this before, but she didn’t explain much.”

During their conversation, another bid instantly caught their attention.

“140 million.”

“Who dares to challenge your woman? They’re courting death.” Ged followed the sound of the voice and was stunned when he saw the person’s face. “Xavier? Xavier is fighting with Bonnie for the item. Is this his way of taking revenge?”

“It’s unlikely. Since Xavier didn’t come to trouble Bonnie, he must have some concerns. It’s unlikely that he is here to cause trouble for Bonnie in such a public place. Even if he wants to, he should do it behind the scenes.”

“In that case, Xavier wants this hundred–year–old ginseng?” Ged felt that Ivor’s analysis

made sense.

On the first floor, Bonnie turned her head to look at Xavier, and their eyes met, with a hint of flattery in Bonnie’s gaze.

Chapter 249

Before Bonnie could understand, Xavier approached with a smile and stood before her.

Trina and the others all stared at this scene, utterly confused. They wondered why the CEO of Sheffyn Entertainment would approach Bonnie.

“What are you doing here?” Bonnie looked at Xavier with a cold

gaze.

Xavier maintained his friendly smile. “Ms. Bonnie, please don’t bid for this ginseng.”

Bonnie raised an eyebrow, her tone cold. “Are you trying to compete with me?”

“No, how could I compete with you? I want to bid for this ginseng and give it to you.”

His words shocked everyone.

“How… how is that possible?” Gresham’s mouth hung open.

Xavier wanted to give Bonnie this priceless, hundred–year–old ginseng.

Moreover, Xavier was the CEO of Sheffyn Entertainment. They were comparable to the Knight family in Pyralis. No one could find a connection between him and Bonnie and why he was trying to please her.

Bonnie nodded. “How sensible. Okay, I’ll accept it.”

Xavier breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, Ms. Bonnie, for your kindness.”

Bonnie waved dismissively. “You can go now.”

“Okay, I won’t bother you anymore.” Xavier quickly left.

This scene confused everyone. Xavier was acting so submissive toward Bonnie.

Gresham felt a sense of regret, but it was only fleeting. Despite Bonnie’s current glory, everyone would revile her once someone exposed her identity as a mistress. The higher she climbed, the harder she would fall.

Avril looked at the ginseng in her hand with admiration for Bonnie.

“Bonnie, this is such a valuable item. You should keep it safe.”

Bonnie replied, “I plan to give it away.”

“What?!” Avril was so surprised that she accidentally raised her voice several notches.

Feeling the strange gazes from those around her, she quickly covered her mouth.

“You want to give it away? Who are you going to give such a precious thing to?”

Bonnie smiled mysteriously. “You’ll know in the future.”

In the private room on the second floor, Ivor stood up.

“Mr. Ivor, where are you going?” Ged looked at Ivor and asked.

“I’m going to find Bonnie.” Ivor smiled and said.

Ged felt repulsed.

Ivor came to Bonnie’s side and looked at Kay. “Excuse me.”

Kay did not react. She didn’t understand why the CEO of Knight Group was asking her to

move.

Thinking of this, Kay looked back and forth between Bonnie and Ivor and came up with a

conclusion.

“Here. sit.” Kay smiled and gave up her seat before staring at Bonnie and Ivor nosily.

Chapter 250

This was groundbreaking news. She never expected Ivor’s rumored fiancee to be Bonnie.

Bonnie turned to look at Ivor. “Why aren’t you staying in your private room? What are you doing here?”

“You’re not in my private room.” Ivor’s deep black eyes were full of affection.

Bonnie sighed and rubbed her forehead. “You have no shame. You can come up with flirtatious remarks anytime, anywhere.”

“Thank you for the compliment.”

“Haha.”

Ultimately, Xavier won the hundred–year–old ginseng with a bid of 140 million and had it

sent to Bonnie.

Ivor glanced at the ginseng box and couldn’t help asking, “It seems like Xavier is a little afraid of you.”

Bonnie could sense that he was testing her. “Really? I didn’t notice.”

“I won’t ask if you won’t tell. I believe that one day, you won’t treat me as an outsider anymore and will tell me everything.” Ivor said in a firm tone.

Bonnie looked Ivor up and down. “This has nothing to do with being an outsider or not. Everyone has their secrets, and you must have secrets that I don’t know either.”

Ivor leaned close to Bonnie’s face and whispered, “What secrets do you want to know? I’ll tell you everything. Even if you want to understand me, I don’t mind being a model for you. I can lie on the bed motionless and let you do as you please.”

His words formed an indescribable scene in Bonnie’s mind for a moment.

Bonnie blushed, and she wanted to punch him.

“You have no shame!” Hadwin looked at Bonnie and Ivor, who were getting along intimately. “You’re so close in public. Aren’t you embarrassed?”

Hadwin’s voice was not low, and his intention was obvious. It was to embarrass Bonnie.

Trina joined in, echoing Hadwin. “Bonnie, Hadwin is right. What you did just now is unsightly.”

Bonnie turned to look at the pair. “It’s embarrassing for us to be this close? You two were being intimate with each other just now. Hadwin, you even reached under Trina’s skirt and rummaged around. I wonder what you’ll find down there.

“Trina, you intentionally rubbed your chest against Hadwin’s arm. Could it be that there was an unscratchable itch that you needed Hadwin to help you with?”

Hadwin and Trina were both about to spurt blood. Bonnie’s words were so venomous.

“Enough!” Gresham glared at Bonnie. “How can you say such things about her in public? Aren’t you afraid you’ll bully her into suicide? You’re so malicious!”

“Malicious?” Bonnie sneered. “So, people can criticize me, but I can’t retaliate? How does that make sense? Besides, they did what they did, so I dare to say it.”

“You, you-” Gresham was trembling with anger.

Vera pulled Gresham. “Let me talk to her.”

Vera looked at Bonnie and said, “I won’t argue with you. Sell the ginseng to me.

“You want me to sell the ginseng to you?” Bonnie was curious about Vera’s intentions.” How much are you offering?”

Vera thought for a moment before replying, “Trina’s grandfather fell seriously ill and needs medication. This ginseng happens to be useful for her grandfather’s health.”

“Why are you telling me all this nonsense? Just tell me how much you are willing to pay.” Bonnie’s patience was wearing thin..

Vera couldn’t stand Bonnie’s attitude when talking to her. Even though Bonnie was no longer her daughter, she still couldn’t tolerate Bonnie’s attitude..

Vera thought for a moment and replied, “Fifty grand.”
