Chapter 341
When Ivor called Fanelli’s number, Bonnie turned off her phone. Ivor would have found her out if she were
just a second later.
Ivor mumbled, “Huh? Why’d he turn off his phone?”
“He must’ve forgotten to charge it before leaving.” Bonnie said casually.
“That’s possible. Anyway, I picked some gowns for you. I’ll send you the pictures. Check them out and tell
me which is your favorite.” Ivor sent the pictures as he spoke and then looked at her phone.
Seconds passed, but her phone screen did not light up.
Is it a signal issue?” Ivor motioned to grab Bonnie’s phone.
However, she stuffed it in her handbag and said, “I’ll check them later.”
Ivor gazed at the bag. Even though the phone was inside, he could have seen the glow of her phone screen lighting up. However, the phone screen remained dark.

Soon after, the couple reached the Days‘ villa. All the lights inside were on, and some guests held wine glasses while chatting. Jordynn saw Ivor and went to welcome him, “Where’s Dr. Fanelli, Ivor? Why isn’t
he here with you?”
Sebastian smiled and shook his head. “My sister must’ve fallen head over heels for the doctor. The first
thing she asks about is Dr. Fanelli.”
“Hey, don’t make fun of me!” Jordynn retorted out of embarrassment.
“Hahaha, you’re embarrassed? There’s no need for that. You two are attractive and talented. You’re meant to be together. Our whole family would love to see that.”
“Stop it, Sebastian!” Jordynn blushed.
Bonnie’s eye twitched as Jordynn said, “I’m still waiting for an answer, Ivor. Whe’s Dr. Fanelli?”
“I called him before I arrived, but he turned off his phone. He must’ve forgotten to charge it. Still, you don’t need to worry. He promised to attend the party, so he’ll be here,” Ivor said as he glanced at Bonnie.
“I’d like to think Dr. Fanelli is the kind of guy who will keep his promises. Perhaps he’s stuck in traffic. It’s okay. The party’s just getting started, and we have all night.”
Since it would take a while before Fanelli arrived, Jordynn took Bonnie’s arm and said, “Since it’s your first time here, I’ll show you the orchard behind the house. You’ll find various fruits there.”
Sebastian was bewildered. “I thought you had different opinions about Bonnie before. Why are you so warm and friendly to her now?”
He tried to sugarcoat it because Bonnie was there.
Chapter 342
Sebastian was cautious with several concerns, while Jordynn was his polar opposite. She was worry–free and typically spoke her mind.

back into place.”
Ivor turned to squint at Bonnie when he heard that.
Sebastian joked, “I’m surprised you’re so talented at such a young age. No wonder Ivor fell for you. After all, he’s dense and never showed much interest In girls.”
“That’s enough, Sebastian! I’ll leave you and Ivor to it and take Bonnie to the orchard now. Oh, right! Tell me when Dr. Fanelli arrives!” Jordynn said excitedly before leaving.
Under normal circumstances, Bonnie would have sunk her teeth into the various fruits in the orchard. However, she felt troubled and had to slip away quickly. Otherwise, Fanelli would never show up at the
party.
“Jordynn, my stomach’s feeling a little funny. Where’s the restroom?”
Jordynn worriedly looked at Bonnie’s belly and asked, “Did you eat something your tummy doesn’t agree with? Are you okay? I can call the family doctor if you want.”
Bonnie said smilingly, “You’re forgetting I have medical knowledge. There’s nothing to worry about. Like you said, I might’ve just eaten something that doesn’t sit well with me. A trip to the restroom should take
care of it.”
Jordynn was relieved to hear that. She pointed to the hallway on their left and said, “The restroom’s over there. Come on, I’ll show you the way.”
“That won’t be necessary. You can go out front and wait for Dr. Fanelli. He might show up soon.” Bonnie’s
words made Jordynn’s heart race.
“Fine, I’ll go wait for him out front. Promise me you’ll call me if you’re feeling too bad.”
“Okay, I promise. Now, go on.” Bonnie watched as Jordynn left. Immediately after the latter disappeared around the corner, Bonnie climbed out of the orchard. She landed near a bag she had hidden in the
bushes earlier.
She then retrieved the clothes in the bag and disguised herself as Fanelli before going to the main entrance. When she reached the gate, she saw an excited Jordynn running over to welcome her.
“You’re finally here, Dr. Fanelli! I’ve been waiting for you for so long. What was the holdup? Were you stuck
in traffic?” Jordynn said with a big smile.
“Yeah, traffic was terrible.” Bonnie then sensed someone else staring at her. She steadied herself and turned to see who it was. Of course, it was Ivor with an inexplicable emotion in his eyes.
Sebastian patted Ivor’s shoulder and said, “They say it’s much easier for a girl to win a man’s heart than vice versa. Considering how enthusiastic Jordynn Is, It’s safe to say she’ll win over Dr. Fanelli soon.”
“It’s still too early to tell.” Ivor continued to gaze at Bonnie.
“What do you mean?” Sebastian was surprised.
Instead of explaining himself, Ivor took his phone and called Bonnie. “We’re sorry. The person you called. is unavailable. Please try again later.”
Although Bonnie looked like she was chatting with Jordynn, the former monitored Ivor out of the corner of her eye. She noticed him using his phone. However, she could not see what was on his phone screen since she stood some distance away.
Still, she guessed it was likely he was trying to call her. Fortunately, she had expected it and turned off her phone.
Since Ivor had failed to call Bonnie, he approached Jordynn and asked, “Where’s Bonnie? I thought she was just with you.”
“She had a tummy issue and went to the restroom.”
“Tummy issues?” Ivor frowned. “Which one did she go to?”
“It’s the one by the orchard. You know where it is.”
Ivor tucked his phone back into his pocket and said, “I’ll go and look for her.”
Immediately after, he strode toward the orchard. With that, he walked briskly toward the orchard.

Bonnie was speechless as she watched Ivor leave. Although she had been “In the toilet” for a minute, he could not wait for her to come out.
The blushing Jordynn leaned closer to Bonnie and asked, “I need a favor from you, Dr. Fanelli,”

“You’re the only one who can help me with it, Doc. My life will end if you don’t give me a hand.”
“That sounds serious. I wonder what it could be.”
“What do you need help with?”
Jordynn glanced at Sebastian and pulled her aside. “Ezequiel Acosta, the family’s third son, is my childhood friend. He’s been clinging to me since childhood, but I never liked that. He has been confessing
his love to me occasionally.
“I’ve turned him down countless times, but he just won’t take no for an answer. He said he’d marry me
one way or the another.”
Bonnie asked, “So, how do I factor into this?”
“Hehe.” Jordynn looked at “Bonnie’s” attractive face and smiled at her swooningly. “I want you to be my
boyfriend to deter Ezequiel.”
Bonnie’s eyes widened as she said, “Sorry, I can’t do that.”
“You’re a man. Of course, you can ‘do‘ it.”
Bonnie did not have a good comeback for that.
Jordynn added, “I’m talking about making it real or anything. I’m just asking you to pretend. That way, Ezequiel will stop bugging me.”
Jordynn thought, ‘It might not be real now, but an act can sometimes turn into reality.”
“Umm, you should find another guy to help you with this. I have somewhere to be now.” Bonnie glanced after Ivor and thought, I know how fast he walks, and he’s probably reaching the restroom any second now and will realize I’m not there. I can’t dilly–dally. I have to go back.”
Bonnie was about to leave, but Jordynn held her arm tightly, saying, “I don’t have time to find another guy. Ezequiel might be annoying, but he’s quite handsome. He won’t give up if I get a random guy to help me.”
“Why don’t you find someone more handsome than him and get it over with? It’s not that hard to find ant attractive guy, right?”
“The problem isn’t finding someone more good–looking than Ezequiel. The Acostas are one of the wealthiest and most prestigious families in Pyralis. Also, his grandfather was a general who led armies into battle in the warring days.

“I’m sorry, what?” Bonnie was uncharacteristically rude after hearing Jordynn’s baffling excuse.
‘She could’ve said something was wrong with his character or morals, but no. She’s saying he’s too rugged -looking. I just can’t with her.”
“That’s where you differ, Dr. Fanelli. I love guys who look like pretty boys.” Jordynn admired Bonnie’s glowing face and resisted the urge to pinch it.
The latter’s lips twitched as she asked, “Why do I feel you’re mocking me?”
“Why would I do that? I’m complimenting you. You’re so fair that you’re glowing. Although I’m also fair- skinned, yours is far clearer than mine. I’ve met plenty of ladies, but none are fairer than you.” Jordynn
continued to praise “Bonnie.”
*Just how rugged–looking is he? I thought you said he’s attractive.”
“Ruggedness has nothing to do with good looks. He’s the most handsome, rugged man I’ve seen. Still, that’s just not my preference.”
Jordynn held her head, looking as if she was about to fall apart, which piqued Bonnie’s interest. The latter wondered just how rugged Jordynn’s childhood friend looked.
Chapter 344
Bonnie was amidst her thoughts when Jordynn’s eyes widened. Suddenly, the latter turned and muttered, ” Speak of the devil. Here he comes.”
‘It seems this Ezequiel guy is about to make an appearance. Let’s see just how rugged he looks.”
Bonnie turned and saw Ezequiel. She would have missed him without seeing his eyes and teeth. As
Jordynn said, the man was rugged–looking, but even so, he was handsome.
“Jordynn, what are you doing here? I’ve been looking all over for you,” Ezequiel said as he handed her a
bouquet of roses.
Jordynn instinctively held “Bonnie’s” waist, shocked as she thought, ‘Woah, he has a slender waist. It feels rather firm and tight. I like it!”
“1 was chatting with Dr. Fanelli.”
Ezequiel’s eyes widened. “Wh–what are you doing, Jordynn? Take your hands off him! You’re a lady, for crying out loud. You’ll ruin your reputation if someone sees you holding him like that.”
“What are you talking about? I love Dr. Fanelli. I plan on marrying him,” the more Jordynn spoke, the more excited she became. She even tightened her grip around Bonnie’s waist.
Meanwhile, Bonnie noticed Ezequiel glaring at her. She realized he resented her for snatching his
potential future wife away.
“Knock it off, Jordynn,” Bonnie plucked Jordynn’s hand off her waist.

Before Bonnie knew it, Jordynn clung to her like a koala. “No way, you’re the only man I’ll marry.”
The former gasped internally. Bonnie did not have to look at Ezequiel to know he was glaring daggers at
her. Bonnie said, “You shouldn’t joke about these things.”
“I’m not joking!” Jordynn spoke much louder than she intended, shocking everyone around them. She confidently added, “I swear I spoke the truth just now. You’re the only one I’ll marry. If I go back on my
words, I’ll die a horrible- Mmph? Mmph!”
Bonnie covered Jordynn’s mouth. It was too scary to think what could have happened if she were just a
second slower. Soon after, she released Jordynn, and the latter looked at her with embarrassment. “Since you touched my lips, I’m basically your fiancee now.”
Bonnie did not know what to say at that point. She checked the time and realized it had been twenty minutes since Ivor went looking for her.
“Ivor’s probably getting ready to break down that restroom door now.”
Meanwhile, Ivor waited at the female restroom door, wondering. ‘What’s taking her so long?”
“Bonnie, are you in there?!” Since no one answered, he checked his watch and thought, ‘I’ll give her five
more minutes. If she doesn’t answer me, I’m going in.”
Bonnie withdrew her arms from Jordynn and said, “My stomach’s feeling funny. I need to use the
restroom.”
‘Jordynn won’t stop using me to ward off Ezequiel. There’s nothing I can say to make him believe there’s nothing between her and me.”
“Why’s everyone’s stomach feeling funny tonight?” Jordynn could only watch as Bonnie left.

Ezequiel stood in Jordynn’s line of sight as the latter watched Bonnie leave. “Are you serious, Jordynn?
You’re in love with him?
“Do you think I’d joke about something like that?” Jordynn asked instead of giving him a straight answer

Ezequiel lowered his head and looked at Jordynn’s hands. He was thrilled about her holding his hands but could not accept what she had just said.
“No, I refuse to be just your friend. I want to marry you and have babies with you. I won’t give up. Jordynn. I’ll keep trying to win your heart unless you’re married to someone else.” Ezequiel withdrew his hands and
chased after Bonnie.
Jordynn rubbed her hands together and muttered, “Is he seriously mad at me? Jeez.”
It was the first time he had been so mad at her.
Five minutes later, Ivor shouted into the female restroom, “Bonnie, are you there?! I’ll come in if you don’t
answer me!”
When no one answered, he entered the restroom without hesitation. At that moment, Bonnie arrived and
saw him entering.
Ivor squinted and exited the restroom soon after, muttering. “Where is she?”
Then, he saw Bonnie, still disguised as Fanelli, standing outside the restroom. Ivor asked, “What are your doing here, Dr. Fanelli?”
“Umm…” Before Bonnie could reply, he interjected.
“Are you going to tell me you’ll be using the restroom?” “Ivor looked at “Bonnie” from head to toe. “There
are restrooms near the entrance, Doc. You didn’t have to come this far for a restroom.”
‘Ivor is such an intelligent man. He must’ve guessed something’s amiss and is now questioning me.”

“Jordynn told me there’s a huge orchard in the back. So, I came to check it out before using the restroom.”
“Oh, is that so?”
Bonnie could tell from his tone that he did not buy what she was trying to sell. Ivor asked, “I thought you said you were here for the restroom. What are you waiting for, Doc?”
“I’m about to head in now.”
Ivor kept staring at her.
‘This is tricky. Since I’m disguised as a man, I can’t enter the female restroom, especially not when he’s staring me down.”
Fortunately, the restrooms by the orchard were far from the main part of the house. Hence, almost no one would be using them. When she entered the male restroom, she realized Ivor followed suit.
Ivor continued to probe, “Why are you looking at me like that, Doc? I need to use the restroom, too. Is there something wrong with that?”
“Oh, it’s no problem at all.”
“Well, things just got trickier.”
Suddenly, he grabbed her arm and said, “The urinals are over there. Where are you going?”

Ivor led Bonnie to the urinals. Although she was a tough and composed lady, she did not know how to
react.
“Why aren’t you pulling down your pants?” Ivor asked as he casually monitored her reaction. When she turned to look at him, he was already unfastening his belt at a urinal.
Ivor pulled Bonnie over to the urinals.
“I–I’m going number two.” Bonnie opened the door and closed it immediately after, not daring to waste. another second.
Ivor smirked as he looked at the closed door. He fastened his belt, leaned on the edge of the sink, and
gazed at the door quietly. Five minutes later, Bonnie opened the door and saw him standing by the sink, seemingly waiting for her.
“Ivor, you’re still here?”
He stepped forward and leaned close to Bonnie, saying, “Since it’s your first time here, I was concerned you couldn’t find your way back to the party. I stayed back to help you.”
“Oh, okay. Thanks, I guess.”
“No problem, Doc. Come on, let’s go.”
Bonnie glanced at him, thinking, ‘I’m sure I’m not imagining things, but I can’t help but think he’s treating
me differently from before. He keeps looking at me weirdly.”
She was so lost in her thoughts that she almost bumped into someone walking toward her. Fortunately,
Ivor reacted quickly and grabbed her shoulder to pull her back.
Bonnie looked up and saw Ezequiel. The latter looked at her as if she was his rival. He said, “Jordynn and I are childhood friends. We’re destined to be together. I hope you’ll back out of your relationship with her.”
“Sure, I’ll do just that.” Bonnie nodded.
However, Ezequiel was stunned. ‘Hmm, I thought he’d put up a fight and prepared to talk him down. It looks like that was unnecessary, after all. Still, I don’t know what he’s thinking.”
“A–Are you serious,” Ezequiel asked.
Bonnie replied solemnly, “Of course I am. You two are a perfect match, and she told me you come from an exceptional family. You’re tough and talented in many ways. You’re also handsome. I’m rooting for
you, Mr. Ezequiel.”
Considering her tone, he could not detect a note of sarcasm or trickery. It seemed “Bonnie” gave him her
genuine blessings.
“Don’t you love Jordynn, Dr. Fanelli?”
“I do,” Bonnie’s response unnerved him. However, she added, “She’s outspoken and pretty. It’d be tough
not to like her. Still, I don’t love her as much as you do. I love her in a more sisterly way.”
Ezequiel felt like he had just gone through an emotional roller coaster. He said, “I can sense you’re telling the truth. That’s a load off my mind. I’m sorry for bothering you, Dr. Fanelli.”
Bonnie noticed he was about to leave and stopped him. “That’s it? I might not have loved Jordynn that way, but she has real feelings for me.”
Ezequiel’s heart leaped into his throat. He looked at “Bonnie,” who looked better than him and thought about how she was also the miracle doctor. After some thought, he knew Jordynn was crazy about the
doctor.
‘Things aren’t looking good for me!”
Bonnie asked, “Do you know why she wouldn’t give you a chance?”
Ezequiel’s eyes widened. “Do you?”
She glanced at him and said truthfully. “She told me it’s because of your rugged looks.”
Ezequiel’s jaw dropped. Moments later, he smiled bitterly, saying, “I can’t help it if I was born that way. It’s in my family’s genes.”
“Your family?”
“Yeah, all of the Acostas are rugged–looking. Ezequiel rubbed his face dejectedly.
Bonnie asked, “Have you tried facial creams?”

“I would’ve done that in a heartbeat if it worked.”
Bonnie extended her hand and said, “Give me your wrist.”
“What do you think you’re doing?” Ivor’s expression turned cold.
“Huh? Is he jealous of Ezequiel?‘ Bonnie looked at Ivor from head to toe. That can’t be right. I’m disguised
as Dr. Fanelli, a guy.”
Ezequiel asked, “Are you going to check my pulse?”
“Mhm.”
He sighed heavily, saying, “I don’t doubt your medical skills, but I was born this way. There’s nothing you can do about genes.”
“Are you sure about that? You’re not the doctor here, I am.” Bonnie checked his wrist pulse and knitted
her brow.
Ezequiel saw her expression and sighed again. “Don’t bother, Doctor. I’m okay with looking rugged for the
rest of my life.”
Bonnie released his hand and said, “Sure, you can get used to it. Then, you’d have to kiss Jordynn
goodbye. You said it’s your family’s genes, right? Don’t you think she’d be worried about having a rugged-
looking baby like you?
“That could be her exact concern. That’s why she’ll never accept you, no matter how hard you try to impress her.”
Ezequiel was worried when he heard that. “W–Well, what should I do? I can’t just change the way I look.”
Bonnie chuckled. “That won’t be necessary. I’ll just prescribe you some medicine.”
“H–How do you cure rugged looks?”
“You should see some improvements after a week.” Although Bonnie said a week, she id that to be on the safe side. “Your family genes might be too strong. So, a full transformation might take at least six
months.”
Ezequiel felt so moved that he held Bonnie’s hands tremblingly. “Thank you, Dr. Fanelli! I’ll be indebted to you if you can cure my rugged looks. I’ll follow your instructions to the tee.”
Ivor pried his hand off Bonnie’s and said, “You don’t have to hold him so tightly. What’ll you do if you hurt him?
Just then, Ezequiel noticed how fair and smooth Fanelli’s hands were. “Your hands are so fair and soft, Dr. Fanelli. I swear, they look and feel better than women’s hands. Do you make your traditional concoction of medicine??
“I was born with soft skin,” Bonnie said truthfully.

‘Come on, we’re men who carry our families‘ genes. So, why am I so rugged while he’s fair?”
Meanwhile, Jordynn patiently awaited Fanelli’s return at the party hall. She muttered, “That’s strange. Where’s Dr. Fanelli? I don’t see him around anymore, and Ezequiel’s run off, too.”
A lady brushed past her and heard what she said. She asked, “Are you looking for Ezequiel? I think I just saw him with Dr. Fanelli a minute ago.”
‘Crap! Is Ezequiel picking a fight with Dr. Fanelli? Jordynn exclaimed inwardly, ‘Dr. Fanelli looks thin, frail, and very gentlemanly. What’ll I do if Ezequiel lets his anger take over and he does something stupid?’
The more Jordynn thought about it, the more worried she became. She then bolted out of the hall and toward the place the lady had pointed at earlier. After taking just a few steps, she saw Ezequiel walking
behind “Bonnie.”

Ezequiel blushed and stuttered, “U–Umm, I can do it if you give me your consent. A–After all, we’ll get married in the future. So, I guess that makes it okay.”
Jordynn did not know how to respond, so she ignored him. She approached Bonnie and whispered, “Did Ezequiel look for you just now, Dr. Fanelli?”
“Yeah, he did.”
“Did he treat you poorly? After all, you two are supposed to be love rivals. I thought he’d resent you.”
Bonnie rolled her eyes at Jordynn, saying, “So, you knew what you were doing. Why would you use me to get rid of him?”
“Uh, hehehe!” Jordynn chuckled embarrassedly. “Well, he’s fundamentally a nice guy. Although he might consider you a love rival, he won’t do anything outrageous. Come on, I’m irious about why you two look like buddies now.

Bonnie merely smiled at her. Then, Ezequiel came over and looked at the duo. Although he knew Bonnie had no emotional attachments to Jordynn, he could not help but feel jealous when he saw his beloved swoon at the miracle doctor.
“Over here, Jordynn. I have something to tell you.”
“Gosh, what is it? Why can’t you just tell me here?” Jordynn wanted to stay close to Fanelli. She could not afford to waste a single moment.
Ezequiel shared a look with Bonnie, signaling her to help him out. The latter chuckled helplessly and said, I’ll leave you two to it. I have to go over there anyway.”
Bonnie went to the pool area, not giving Jordynn a chance to stop her. The former thought she had finally gotten rid of Jordynn, but she was unaware that an even bigger headache was approaching.
Chapter 349
A group of ladies swarmed Bonnie.
“Dr. Fanelli, how old are you? I must say, you look young. Do you have a girlfriend? What kind of girls do you like?”
“My dad wanted me to ask if you’re willing to marry someone from my family. Since I’m the only daughter, he’ll let you take over our family business if you marry me.”
The ladies barraged Bonnie with questions. She wanted to leave, but they packed in too tightly. She could not escape, and the circle grew narrower by the second. Ultimately, it got so bad that she could not even stand properly.
Everyone pushed against each other, trying to get closer to Bonnie. That was the only way they could make their proposals to her.
Suddenly, one of the ladies tripped and fell into the pool. Before she fell, she instinctively grabbed the closest person to her. Soon after, everyone fell into the pool together.
Splash, splash! Splash!
The noise drew everyone else’s attention. Jordynn glanced toward the pool and noticed Fanelli was not there. She shouted worriedly, “Shit! Someone, help! Dr. Fanelli fell into the
pool!”
Immediately after, Ivor ran past Jordynn and dove into the pool. She was baffled, wondering how close. Ivor was to Fanelli.
Bonnie knew how to swim, but a chubby lady fell on her. It caused Bonnie to fall to the bottom of the pool, leading to a cramp in Bonnie’s calf. Hence, she struggled to swim to the surface. As she began to panic, a familiar figure swam toward her.
It was Ivor.
Meanwhile, Bonnie’s consciousness began to fade, and her vision blurred. Ivor realized “Bonnie” was in grave danger and gave her mouth–to–mouth underwater.
Splash!
The duo emerged from the pool. Ivor lay Bonnie by the edge and removed his blazer to put it over her.
Jordynn was anxious when she saw the unconscious Bonnie. “How’s Dr. Fanelli doing? Will he be okay?”
Ivor held Bonnie tightly, his expression stern as he exclaimed, “Find him a doctor, now!”
“I–I’ll go now!”
Soon after, a doctor arrived. He looked at Ivor and said, “Please put him down slowly, Mr. Ivor.”
However, Ivor held Bonnie tighter, saying, “Just check on him, will you?”
The doctor was stunned, but he had to check on Fanelll now. Jordynn was stumped as she leaned closer
to Ezequiel and whispered, “Don’t you think Ivor is a little too worried about Dr. Fanelli? Do you think they’re lovers?”
Jordynn supported most couples, but only when the couple did not involve someone she liked.
Ezequiel said, “Now that you mention it, I saw Ivor and Dr. Fanelli leaving the restroom together. Also, Ivor seemed unhappy when I got slightly too close to Dr. Fanelli.”
Jordynn slowly turned and stared at Ivor.
“C–Come on, really?!” she gulped, adding, “I thought Ivor was in love with Bonnie.”
Ezequiel shrugged. After all, he did not know the details between the two.
“Huh?” The doctor gasped and stared at Bonnie. Immediately after, he met Ivor’s fierce gaze.
The latter asked, “Do you want me to claw your eyes out?”
The doctor averted his gaze and said, “D–Dr. Fanelli’s okay. He should wake up soon.”
Chapter 350
A moment later, Bonnie coughed several times and regained consciousness. The first thing she saw was Ivor’s concerned gaze. She had never seen him look at anyone else like that, except her real self.
‘I knew it. He saw through my disguise.”
“Are you okay? Do you feel any pain? Tell me if you are.”
Bonnie smiled faintly and said, “I’m okay.”
“Are you sure?”
“You’re forgetting I’m a doctor. I should know whether or not something’s wrong.” Her words made Ivor feel much better.
He said, “I’ll take you home now.”
“Okay.”
Ivor swooped her up and brdal carried her. Meanwhile, something felt wrong for Jordynn. She asked, “Are you trying to compete with me for Dr. Fanelli’s heart?”
“You’re the one who’s competing with me in the first place,” Ivor retorted solemnly and gave her a warning look.
“Uh…” Jordynn was stunned and took a while to regain her consciousness.
Sebastian came over and patted his sister’s shoulder.
Jordynn was on the verge of tears as she asked, “Why did Ivor suddenly fall for Dr. Fanelli? I thought he was in love with Bonnie. Now that he’s a thing with the doctor, what does it mean for Bonnie? Hell, what does it mean for me?”
Sebastian could not decide if she should laugh or cry. He looked at his sister and asked, “With everything that has happened, how are you still not noticing it?”
“What do you mean? Ivor and Dr. Fanelli are in love with each other.”
Suddenly, Sebastian flicked her forehead.
“Ouch! Why’d you do that? It hurt,”
“I did that because you aren’t using your brain.”
“What does that mean?” Jordynn questioned as she rubbed her forehead.
“Have you seen Ivor that concerned about anyone besides Bonnie?”
Jordynn replied, “Yeah, Dr. Fanelli! Everyone saw it, Sebastian. What’s the point of that question?”
Sebastian felt the urge to flick her forehead again but did not. Instead, he shook his head and said, ” You’re beyond help. It’s a wonder how you got into Pyralis University.”
Jordynn did not feel embarrassed. She confidently retorted, “You should know that better than anyone else. I wouldn’t have gotten in if Dad hadn’t spent all that money,”
‘Forget it. I should save my breath. Talking to her is giving me a headache,‘ with that thought in mind, Sebastian turned and left.
“H–Hey, where are you going?! What do you mean by what you said earlier?!”
Ezequiel grabbed Jordynn’s arm and said, “Sebastian’s trying to tell you that Bonnie is Dr. Fanelli.”
“Huh? What are you talking about? Can you repeat that?” Jordynn thought she should make an appointment with a doctor to check her ears.
“It explains why Ivor was so worried about Dr. Fanelll.” Ezequiel marveled at that revelation. Simultaneously, his words also served as a revelation for Jordynn.
“No wonder Bonnie wanted to use the restroom. I never saw them in the same room either. It also explains everything that happened after she arrived. It turns out Bonnie was Dr. Fanelli all along.”
“No wonder she had a medical journal in her bag. The remarks and insights in it were profound, too. Does that mean I wasted time trying to win Dr. Fanelli’s heart?” Although disheartened, Jordynn felt somewhat exhilarated.
Meanwhile, Ezequiel was overjoyed, thinking, ‘Jordynn will have to give up on Dr. Fanelli now.”
As the couple sat in the car, Bonnie felt uneasy by how Ivor stared at her. She asked, “Are you done? Do
you think I like being stared at?”
Ivor lit up and held her hand. “1 had my suspicions for a long time. I just didn’t think it was possible. How
could someone possess so many talents? Also, you’re profoundly proficient with all your skills, Bonnie, do you have other talents I don’t know about? I’m curious about you!”
