After hearing Oliver’s report, Rose was in a daze; The mighty Silver Phoenix would take care of their problem. They will silence people who know about gold mining and also capture the one who is killing scientists. In short, all who knew about the gold would be silenced.

She didn’t expect the company she thought could bring her a lot of money to have such a puzzling and spooky storyline. Does all of this have to be done to make her company safe? Rose was at a loss for words. She no longer understands what is right and wrong.

"Boss, I know you are shocked, but believe me. This is the right way to keep our company safe." Oliver feels worried looking at his friend, mute in her place. She looked like she was drowning in her fear.

"Oliv! I know. But what if all of this was exposed? I mean, can the Silver Phoenix be trusted? What if they betray us by silencing us too? If the organization can silence the famous politicians and business people in the city of Vale. Obviously, they could easily silence us too." Rose’s gaze looked seriously at Oliver. She can’t hide how fearful she is.

Suddenly the door of Rose’s room opened again, and Randy showed up in the room. He walked in a hurry and sat beside Rose. His eyes darted at awful-looking Danny. Before he comes in, he hears Danny has just broken up. This news surprised him.

"Danny!! Are you really broken up? Why didn’t you tell me about it?" Randy asks.]

Chapter 167: Accused!

Shit! Why does everyone think he’s broken up? Danny could only curse everyone in his heart.

"Danny, my man, I always thought you were single. Since when did you have a girlfriend?" Randy asks again after seeing Danny in a daze.

"What the heck!! Who said..." Before Danny finished his sentence, James’ voice suddenly echoed through the room.

"Danny, what the hell? Do you have a girlfriend? Why are you hiding her from us, you dawg?!" James blurted. He feels betrayed by Danny because didn’t tell him about his girl. Damn it!

Everyone in the room saw James enter the room as he sat next to Oliver.

"Man! He just broke up with his girlfriend..." Oliver whispered to James, but everyone in the room could hear what he said.

James’ annoyance immediately disappeared when he heard the shocking news. He couldn’t help but stare at his best friend. "I’m sorry, man. Just move on... let’s go to the pub tonight. We should celebrate our solo night!" James muttered.

Danny felt like smacking all his friend’s heads with his shoe. They accused him of having a girlfriend and said he was breaking up!? What the heck!

He felt like he wanted to clear up this misunderstanding, but he was tired of talking with all of them. The unfortunate but hardworking man just kept his mouth shut. Ignoring their sympathetic but ignorant stares.

"Boss!! Sorry, tonight you can’t follow us to have fun at the pub. Because you are not going solo anymore...." Oliver’s mischievous smile frames his face.

"Great! It’s guys only. Let’s go, guys! Let me pay for our drink tonight so Danny wouldn’t be so miserable in his sleep tonight...." Randy said in his deep serious voice.

"Yeah. You guys go ahead! Because I can’t join you physically, I will let my card join." Rose took her platinum credit card and gave it to Danny. "Use this card to have fun, but there’s a limit on that card. So use it wisely, okay?"

Danny almost cried. Now all his friends and Boss are scrambling to treat him so he won’t be sad? This is insane! He remains silent. He will use this opportunity to empty his heartless Boss’s platinum card. He will take revenge on her. Because of her, he is now a man who just broke up! Without a girl in it! Great. What a beautiful day today!

"Boss, tell us... why did you suddenly ask us to come here?" Randy suddenly remembers his purpose to come to Rose’s office.

Now, you guys are married, and we also didn’t know. Damn it!" Danny feels upset that Rose hasn’t made them into her inner circle of friends.

Fortunately, God seemed to hear her prayer. Her phone vibrated, and her eyes were delighted when she saw Evan’s name appear on her cell phone screen. Feeling happy to clear her name, she widely smiles as she looks at all of them.

"Alright, guys! If you guys didn’t believe me. You guys can listen to my conversation with Evan...." She gestured to them to keep quiet as she accepted the call and pushed a speaker on.

"Wifey!!" Evan’s deep charming voice echoes through the room and makes all the men in the room roll their eyes. Like they confirmed she was lying.

Rose greeted her teeth. She forgot Evan always calls her like that.

"Are you done at the office?"

"Hmm...yeah, I’m done."

"Alright, I will come down. Let’s go home now. We have to pack up for our honeymoon trip...."

Instantly Rose hung up the phone and stood up from her seat. "Guys! The meeting is over. Please return to your respective rooms!!" She said as she walked to her table. Grab her bag and walk fast to the elevator hiding her flushed face like a boiled crab.

Gosh! How could Evan expose her like that? Now she felt embarrassed facing all of them.

"Boss, keep up the spirit for your wedding night!!" Said Oliver in a very supportive tone and with both of his hands’ fists up.

"Happy holiday, boss!!" Said Randy flatly.

"Leave the company in our care. Enjoy your honeymoon...." James said with a sincere tone.

"Yeah, Boss, have fun...have great fun, and don’t bother to think about us." Said Danny with a smile and a slightly sarcastic tone.

Rose wishes she had the teleport ability to vanish from that place. Bloody hell!

Chapter 168: New Assignment

On the 30th floor of the Fortune Building,

Evan’s other phone beeps. He frowned, looking at the slim black phone in his drawer. He didn’t take the phone right away. He listened to Gavin’s report about the company issue he should take care of. But, his heart is not calm.

Only one person can contact him through that slim black phone. And that person will contact him if there is something he couldn’t take care of. And as far as he knew, there was no problem that guy couldn’t solve.

After seeing Gavin closing the door, Evan immediately took the cell phone and read the message. Instantly his body froze, reading the short text that appeared on the cellphone screen.

[M4C4N, offering a job. The funny thing is, the guy is in your building, 20th floor!]

Without waiting, Evan pressed number one on his cell phone. On the first call, someone picked up from the other end.

"Boss!" A cheerful voice could be heard.

"Accept the assignment!"

"Aye, boss! Ah, boss, did you know who M4C4N is?" He remembers that this hacker asked them to finish an odd job in the past and clearly remembered this hacker’s name. Similar to him, this man used a language from a faraway country.

Evan didn’t say much. He glanced at his watch. Soon it will be lunchtime and he has a lunch appointment with his grandfather. He was going to introduce Rose to his grandpa.

A faint smile appeared on Evan’s face as he remembered how cheeky his grandpa wanted to surprise his fiance. He hopes Rose will not be upset because of what his grandfather did.

"So, what are you waiting for?" Evan’s cold voice makes the man on the other end shiver.

After the phone call ended, Evan still stood in his place. His mind was not at peace until he found out who the hacker who worked at Rose’s company was.

Is it Sam? No way, because right now, he still hasn’t come back. And even if it was Sam, there was no way he could contact the Silver Phoenix in the usual way. Sam can just talk to him, right?

Are their friends from college? No, impossible. As far as he knows, none of his three friends who work at Rose’s company are computer experts. They are geniuses in the fields of business and finance.

As Evan was about to call someone, he suddenly felt a slender hand wrapped around his waist. He was surprised, looking at the pale hand on his stomach. He could see the shining pink diamond ring on it and felt a flowery muse fragrant enter his nostril. His lips curled up to form a lovely smile.

"Are you coming?" Evan turned his body as he pulled the girl into his embrace and buried his head on her smooth neck. "I miss you..." He pressed her into his body as if not wanting to let her go.

"Me too! Shall we go now? Your grandpa will wait...." Rose couldn’t help but smile feeling his tight embrace.

"Don’t worry! Grandpa will definitely like you even if we come late...." Evan loosened his hug and pulled the girl to sit on the sofa on his lap.

"Evan! We are in your office. What if your pretty secretary outside comes in?"

When Rose arrived on this floor, she was surprised to see many pretty young women working in seductive outfits. It makes her a bit worried that the woman is trying to attract the attention of her fiancé.

Evan freezes. At first, he also didn’t know that there were a lot of female assistants on this floor. Evan has never paid attention to these women and rarely came to this office. The Black Mercedes SUV is speeding towards Platinum Palace Restaurant at the Collins Hotel on the business street. Evan focused on driving his vehicle but glanced at Rose a few times, who fell silent as soon as the car left the Fortune building.

Evan could see Rose looking out of the car beside her as if she was thinking about something. He waited for Rose to say what was bothering her, but after a few minutes, there was no sign that this girl would say anything.

He was worried that something was wrong with the Wilson Group. Moreover, someone from her office asked the Silver Phoenix for help. Not many know about their existence, and only certain people can assign jobs to them.

This made Evan really worried since they left the office. He couldn’t wait to read what S4T4N requested.

"Wifey, what are you thinking?" Evan finally decided to ask her. Before they arrived, he wanted to know what had happened to her company.

Did his father threaten the Wilson Group? His biggest concern is his father making a move without him noticing. He wanted to check it out but hasn’t had the chance to do so.

"Is there any problem with Wilson Group?" Evan casually asked.

Evan nodded and turned his gaze back to the road. It was as if he wasn’t interested in hearing what Rose was talking about on the phone, but actually, his ears were alert.

Rose ignored Oliver’s usual warm greeting from the other end.

"How!?" Her tone sounds serious. She was too nervous. Although she didn’t know what organization Oliver contacted but what she heard, this organization was reliable enough to protect them. Oscar pounded in silence. This is a tricky case. He had a hard time finding the man because he only knew his name, Nick, and that name is usually a nickname, not the real name. He found out that most registered in the civil registry are the names of Nicholas or Nickolas.

Why is this grandpa here? Did he enter the wrong VIP room? Countless questions surged in Rose’s mind. She looked at the door number. It was right. She wasn’t bad. It must be this old man who was in the wrong VIP room. She smiles, looking at him as she approaches him.

"G-Grandpa... Wow, I could not believe we met in this place. Are you here for lunch too?"

Rose is standing near Grandpa, who was also standing up to greet her. She held his hand and felt so happy to finally meet this old man again.
