Ch. 241..245: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 241-245
Chapter 241: Officially Meet (2)
"Dad, are you really a sharpshooter?" Rose was surprised to know that. Now, she understands why she has that talent.
"Yes! But at that time I was not interested in being a sniper, I was interested in being a doctor after my encounter with your mother. At that time your mother mentioned she wanted to become a doctor. So, I study to become a doctor too, hoping one day I could meet your mom again in the medical field..."
Lost contact with Molly was like a huge blow to him. He studied hard to become the best surgeon in this field. In hope that if Molly became a Doctor too, she would recognize him.
But what he hoped for didn’t come true because Molly lost her memory and she had to give up her dreams because she was pregnant. She had to raise their daughter independently. Just imagining how hectic Molly’s life was, once again, made his heartache.
Rose was lost for words when she heard that. So, her mother did influence her father this far!? Gosh!
God, you are so cruel to make them apart for such a long time. And now, after their meeting, you are still punishing them by putting my mother in a coma!? How heartless you are!
"I felt sorry for mom..." Rose silently muttered but Nicholas could clearly hear it.
What his daughter said was true, Molly’s life was very challenging.
"Daughter, I’m here now. I will make sure your mom and you will be happy from now on. No more sadness in our family."
"Thanks, dad..." Rose was very happy with the changes that had occurred in her life. Her father showed up when she needed him; When she didn’t want her mother to live alone because now she is married. Worries that she won’t have as much time with her mother as before Evan came into her life.
Now, her worries are gradually fading with the presence of her father who will take care of her mother. Even though he came very late in her mother’s life, they still had a long time. They will grow old together.
"Speaking about your shooting ability, have you ever thought about joining the military? Your grandpa is someone who always gets what he wants. So, maybe he will pester you till you agree..." Nicholas was worried that his daughter would feel pressured by his father’s attitude.
"I’m not interested in joining the army. Well, to tell you the truth... I don’t like to tire myself out with excessive physical exercise. That’s why I’m learning to shoot because I don’t need to do physical training. Before, when I tried learning to do Martial Arts, I almost died from exhaustion..."
Nicholas was taken aback by her words. Is she that weak?
"Okay! Don’t push yourself. I’ll talk to your grandfather about this. So he will not bother you again..."
Just before Rose wanted to say something, she heard someone knocking on the door.
"Looks like your grandfather has arrived." Nicholas stood from his seat. Meanwhile Rose was anxious. Worried that her grandfather would be angry at her.
Nicholas opened the door, he saw his father’s piercing eyes staring at him. It was as if this old man was about to slap him through his intense gaze.
"You brat!! How dare you hide it from me? Where are my daughter-in-law and granddaughter?" Edward Spencer couldn’t help but scold his naughty son. He lightly slapped his son on the shoulder and walked to the seating area. His eyes lit up when he saw his beautiful granddaughter.
After learning about Rose’s identity as his granddaughter, he couldn’t wait to meet her. But when he found out that Rose was currently in the hospital, he was so worried something would happen to Rose or to his daughter-in-law. The woman he never heard about but now suddenly appears in his son’s life.
All this time, Edward Spencer thought his son, Nicholas would never like a woman. Because he never brings or talks about women he likes to him. This worries Edward too much. And, whenever Edward tried to set Nicholas up with his friend’s daughter, Nicholas always refused.
His actions made his son protesting. Nicholas, his son quit being a doctor at the military hospital and enrolled himself as a biological weapons expert at a research center thousands of miles from the capital, a remote place. He buried himself in that secluded place.
But now, out of nowhere, his aloof son suddenly has a daughter. This really surprised Edward and also made him feel relieved because of his worry that his son never likes a woman, falsity.
"Little Rose..." There was joy when he called his granddaughter’s name.
Rose could hear her grandfather’s voice echoing through the room. She stood up from her seat and smiled at her grandfather who was walking toward her.
She can feel how loud her heart is beating at this moment. She felt thrilled for the first time meeting her other family members. It felt surreal.
"Father, let me introduce you to my daughter..." Nicholas ignored his father’s sharp gaze as he walked over to his daughter. "Her name is Rose. I’m sure you’ve met her..." Then he looked at his daughter again, "My Daughter, this is your grandfather, his name is Edward spencer..."
"Hello Grandpa, it is nice to meet you." Rose bowed slightly, unable to meet his eyes.
"Hahaha Little Rose, my granddaughter, no need to talk politely like that. We already know each other..." Edward sat and called Rose to sit beside him. "Let me see you closely. At the shooting range, I didn’t see your beautiful face."
Rose had no other choice but to sit by her grandfather’s side. A formidable figure in this country, even the current president has great respect for him. And in the next few years, one of his sons will lead this country to the fullest.
Something she never dreamed of before, this old man is her grandfather. They are related by blood. Gosh! How peculiar is her life now compared to her life in her previous life!?
Chapter 242: Officially Meet (3)
"Grandpa! I’m sorry... I didn’t tell you about my father earlier." Rose’s voice was barely audible, but Edward Spencer, who was sitting so close to her, could hear it clearly. The corners of his lips lifted slightly to form a friendly smile.
"Little Rose, no worries. Grandpa can understand. Don’t feel guilty because it’s not your fault, my dear..." Edward gently taps the top of her hair, and then he turns his gaze toward Nicholas. "This is his fault! How could he hide you and your mother from me?" His tone sounded annoyed.
Rose felt sorry to see her father being scolded.
"Grandpa, this is not my father’s fault. Well, if you want to blame someone, blame God! He messes with my mom and dad’s life..." There’s a wave of anger in her words that could make Nicholas shocked.
How could his daughter hate God so much? Had she suffered so much until she held a deep hatred toward God?
Not only Nicholas was shocked, but Edward Spencer also felt the same. He looked at his granddaughter beside him. There’s sadness flashing through her eyes.
"Oh, My dear Rose... don’t blame God. There is nothing to blame God for this incident. You have to believe that this is your father and mother’s destiny; they separated but finally met again. In the end, God still helped them to reunite, right!?"
He didn’t see any reaction from her. Edward Spencer held her hand slightly, "Little Rose, can you bring me to meet your mother?" He deliberated to divert her anger.
As someone pulled her from the pool of sadness, Rose slightly lifted her head and looked at his grandfather. She nods the moment their eyes meet.
Just before they were about to head to Molly’s treatment room, there was a knock on the door. They all stop and look at the door.
The moment the door opened, everyone frowned, looking at Sean Spencer standing there with a wide smile framing his handsome face.
"How could you know?" Edward Spencer was surprised to see his grandson know this place.
"I didn’t tell you where I was? How do you know this place, Sean?" Nicholas was confused, looking at his nephew. While talking earlier to Sean, he didn’t tell him about his location. He just confirmed Rose was his daughter. "Did Evan tell you?"
Sean was surprised, looking at his grandfather in the room. He couldn’t believe his Grandpa knew about Rose, too. He thought he was the first to know.
"Did you guys not let me in first? I’m pretty tired standing here..." Sean said as he slowly walked inside without being asked. He smiles sweetly at Rose. "Damn it! I can’t believe you are my cousin, Rose!"
"Mind your words, Sean! Rose is a delicate girl... don’t curse in front of her!" Edwards slapped his grandson’s shoulder.
"Ouch! Grandpa, it hurts!" Sean cried as he sent his glare to his grandpa and then looked again at Rose. "Sorry, Rose, I will not say anything appropriate before you..." He winked and playfully stood beside her.
Sean felt so happy for his uncle Nicholas. His lonely Uncle finally found his family after so many years. A few hours ago, after he found out about his uncle’s relationship with Rose, he did a detailed investigation of what happened in the past. And what he found out surprised him.
"Sean! You did not answer my question. How do you know?" Nicholas asked again. He worries if Sean finds out; he believes the rest of their family will know. At this moment, he didn’t want to tell them, not yet. He will wait until Molly wakes up.
He plans to arrange a family gathering at the Spencer Family House later.
"I have a way to know, Uncle! Sorry, I can’t share it with you..." Sean rubs his nape. How could he say to his uncle he hacked his cellphone? His uncle will surely kill him, right?
"Did you hack me?"
Sean’s body turns frosty. He forgot his uncle is a military leader, too. Sure enough, he knew about his division. But he can’t answer him now. He remains silent while praying someone may rescue him from this awkward situation and deathly glare from two powerful men in the room.
Gosh! Why does the temperature in this room suddenly turn zero!?
"Uncle Nick, my pretty cousin Rose’s feet hurt now. Let’s sit first..." Sean looked Rose in the eyes. He pleaded for help to her through sign language.
Sean is aware his uncle has a weakness now: his beautiful daughter, Rose. So, he used his weakness to divert his attention.
Rose chuckled softly.
"Daughter, your feet hurt?" Nicholas already stood beside his daughter, looking panicked. He held her hand and led her to sit again on the sofa.
Rose was speechless seeing her father fall into Brother Sean’s cheesy trap. Gosh!
"Aren’t we going to see my daughter-in-law?" Edwards Spencer said, confused about why they all sat together again.
"Father, wait for a while. My daughter felt her feet hurt..."
Rose immediately felt guilty for making her father believe that her leg hurt. She sent an annoying signal to brother Sean before she looked at her grandfather again.
"I’m n...." Rose can’t finish her words because, at the same time someone breaches the room. And that person is Sean’s savior. Everyone forgot about him in the blink of an eye.
"Oh my goodness! Am I not dreaming, right? What are you guys saying is true? Rose is my real niece?" Amanda Spencer, in her red Chanel suit, stood near the door with her eyes darted to Rose.
Everyone was shocked by her sudden presence. How could she know about this place? Who told her?
Rose was shocked, looking at Amanda Spencer in the room. She still couldn’t believe her aunty would know about her this fast. She couldn’t say anything at that moment and could only smile awkwardly at her.
"Second Brother, Rose, is really your daughter?" Amanda Spencer walked over to the seating area and stood next to Rose while her eyes fell on Nicholas.
Chapter 243: Officially Meet (4)
Before Nicholas could reply to Amanda, Sean interrupted.
"Aunty Amanda? Why are you here? How could you know about this place?" Sean felt he had never told his aunt about Rose and her mother. He just shared this huge information with his father. He should be safe, right!?
Did Aunt Amanda know about them from grandfather? Sean thought while glancing at his Grandpa beside him.
The old man looks calm in his seat.
"Grandpa, you told aunty Amanda, don’t you?" It must be him. What Sean knows is his Grandpa can’t keep a secret at all.
"I’m not!" Edward Spencer was sullen hearing his grandson accuse him.
"Amanda, how do you know we are here?" Nicholas massages his temple, feeling stressed. His only sister is someone who is always minding other people’s business. If she knows about his daughter and Molly, she will come here daily. Just thinking about staying in the same room with this chatterbox hurts his temple.
"No one told me!" Amanda said as she looked at Sean. "But I saw Sean run into the hospital with his strange-worried-looking face. It worried me! So I decided to follow him. Good thing I followed him; otherwise, I wouldn’t have known about Rose...."
Sean was stunned hearing that.
Suddenly he felt someone rub his face with lemon when he saw his grandfather and uncle’s fierce glare.
Damn! This is a huge mistake he ever made. He was in such a hurry that he forgot about his surroundings. He lowered his guard until he didn’t notice someone was following him. He felt ashamed of not being careful enough to get his aunt to follow him into this room.
Sean Spencer kept his mouth shut, not knowing what to say. What he can do now is to avoid everyone’s sharp gaze, especially his Grandfather.
Now he prays that his father will not show up in this place. If his father comes, surely his Grandpa and Uncle will scold him.
But apparently, God did not hear Sean Spencer’s prayer. It didn’t take long for Jayson Spencer to appear in the room.
"Father! Second Brother!"
Everyone was surprised, looking at Jayson Spencer in his blue navy suit standing at the door. It was clear from the look in his eyes that he was in shock.
"Second, brother! Congratulations, you finally found her...." Jayson slowly entered the room as he sat next to his younger brother. He was still shocked to hear that his brother had finally found his first love, Molly.
Jayson Spencer felt sorry for his brother all this time, but he couldn’t help him much. A few times, Jayson tries to arrange for Nicholas to meet another girl, but his younger brother never agrees.
"Excuse me! I’m going to the toilet...." Sean Spencer wanted to escape from that hell room. He can’t handle it if his father exposes him as an informant. But before Sean stood, a mighty hand dragged him to his seat again. He was shivering as he met his grandfather’s angry-looking eyes.
"Where are you going, lad!?" Edward’s intense gaze could make Sean feel chilly. "You have to do something with that relentless mouth of yours. You should know when you should talk or not!" His dire whisper made Sean turn frosty. He could only nod, saying he was understood.
"Yes, first brother... I found her!" Nicholas’ voice sounded sad, but he kept his face as calm as possible and didn’t want to make Rose see him sad. "But now Molly is still unconscious. She had an accident and had to undergo major surgery. I hope you all help by praying for her recovery. Pray that she will wake up from her coma sooner..."
Everyone in the room was shocked to hear that Molly was in such a bad state. They all thought Molly wasn’t this bad. However, she was seriously injured and fell into a coma.
As if something was squeezing Edward Spencer’s heart, he looked at Nicholas with pitiful-looking eyes.
"How could my son have such a pathetic destiny?" Edward Spencer silently mutters.
Just like that...
All the Spencer family knows about Molly and Rose’s existence.
Soon everyone now stood near Molly’s bed. They all have different thoughts.
Rose felt touched to know her father’s family welcomed her so fast. Her grandfather was so pleased with her presence. He even asked her father to immediately marry her mother to make her status as part of Spencer’s family.
Knowing her name would be changed to Rose Spencer gave her a slight chill. The burden of using the name Spencer behind her name felt so heavy. She felt scared, but deep down, she also felt delighted.
Not only her Grandpa like her but Jayson Spencer too. Her first uncle liked her, and so did his son, Sean. These two men had a close relationship with her because her first Uncle Married Evan’s aunty.
As for Amanda Spencer, Rose has no doubt about her. Before Amanda knew who she was, Amanda already liked her.
Now, Rose was confused about whether to keep calling this aunty, sister or calling her aunty!?
"Brother, how is my sister-in-law’s current condition?" Jayson Spencer, staring at Molly, lay motionless on the bed. She looked fragile with so many live saver devices on her chest and face. Her small face still looks beautiful, even though she’s in a coma. No wonder his brother couldn’t forget this woman. She is indeed beautiful.
"She’ll wake up soon. Her vital signs improve significantly, especially her brain and heartbeat condition...." Nicholas explained to all of them the latest conditions of Molly.
Rose, in deep thought, suddenly gasped in surprise, looking at her father.
Was what her father said true?
Did he just want to comfort his family by saying that?
After staring at her father for a few seconds, she saw he was telling the truth. Suddenly a cool breeze brushed against her heart, and Rose felt a calming sensation envelop her. She slowly turned her gaze to her mother’s face and nearly disbelieved by what she saw. Her mother’s pale face was now turning pink. It was as if blood had returned to her face.
Chapter 244: Wedding Reception
Her adrenalin slightly rushed. She can’t wait for her mother to wake up. "M-Mom... please wake up. Don’t make me wait too long. I miss you so much, mother!" Rose said, barely audible, while gently caressing her mother’s hand.
Unbeknownst to Rose, Nicholas Spencer, standing beside her, heard her words. He was heartbroken to know his daughter was so sad; she missed her mother so much.
Not only did Rose miss Molly, but Nicholas also felt that way. His longing for twenty-three years is unstoppable, waiting for this opportunity to come.
Nicholas wanted Molly to wake up soon, but he wasn’t the real God. He couldn’t do that even though that was the only thing he wished for.
If he could meet the real God, he would definitely plead for his wife’s consciousness.
He slowly raised his hand and placed it on Rose’s shoulder. Then pulled her close to him as if he wanted to tell her that now she was not alone. There is him who will take care of her.
A smile frames Nicholas’ face when he sees her eyes blink several. "Don’t worry, daughter, your mother will wake up soon..." he whispered.
When Nicholas saw a slight nod from Rose, he smiled. Then he turned his gaze towards his father and the other. He asks them to leave the room for their late dinner.
Soon all of them sit in the dining area.
The dining table can accommodate 10 people, enough to pack all of them in that place. They all happily and enthusiastically chat as they start to eat.
But later, Edward Spencer was curious why his daughter seemed familiar with his granddaughter. He can see that they had met before.
"Little Rose... did you ever meet your aunty Amanda?" Edward Spencer asks.
Rose nodded slightly.
"Yes, father. Evan asked me to provide some clothes for Rose. So, I filled her wardrobe from my brand and my store. Mmmm... Evan also asked me to design a wedding dress for Rose. If I knew Rose was my niece, I would make her the most beautiful wedding dress...."
Amanda felt annoyed because Evan asked her to prepare a wedding dress for Rose only for a week. She felt did not give the best wedding dress to her beautiful niece.
"What! So you know Evan’s wedding?"
Suddenly Edward Spencer felt upset knowing his daughter knew about it. What’s more, after learning that the bride is his own granddaughter, he felt even more annoyed that he wasn’t invited to the event. He felt betrayed by that old geezer Collins!
"Of course, I know. All this time, Evan has always asked me anything. He asked me how to propose to my niece." She smiles as she pats Rose back gently. "He also asks me to plan their wedding."
Amanda then looked at Rose with a regretful look. "Rose, sorry I can’t come to your wedding, that day I happen to have work in Europe..." If she knew that Rose was her niece, she would definitely find a way to attend the wedding.
"Me too, Rose! I’m sorry I can’t come to your wedding. I have a special mission that day I can’t skip...."
"Aunty Amanda, Brother Sean, that’s fine. Evan already explained to me..." Rose smiled. But she could feel that someone in the room felt awful.
Edward Spencer was surprised to know even this brat Sean was invited to the wedding, but he was not invited. He will get even with Old geezer Collins for this one!
"Nick! How about we make Rose and Evan’s wedding reception at home?" Edward’s sudden words could make everyone in the room surprised. "How could Rose marry without her family? I feel sorry for her..." He continued his sentence and got an approval nod from everyone except Rose.
Rose was surprised that another wedding party was waiting for her.
Nicholas Spencer agrees with his father. Knowing his daughter was already married without him present and walking her to the aisle he felt he received a huge stub in his heart. He wants to come to his daughter’s big day. And his father’s idea of having a grand wedding reception for his daughter excited him.
"Daughter, what do you think?" Though Nicholas agreed, he needed to hear his daughter’s opinion.
"Don’t worry... I will talk to Evan." Edward Spencer chimed in when he saw Rose in a daze.
"Me too. I agree if we hold Rose and Evan’s wedding party again at Spencer’s house. I also wish and hope to see my niece’s wedding day...." Jayson Spencer said.
"I don’t mind if there’s another party. But, I hope the party is not too extravagant, and there will be no media coverage..." Rose said. She can’t refuse them, right!?
"Hahaha, don’t worry, sister... our family never likes media exposure." Sean Spencer feels amused hearing her worries. Even though their family is known to be powerful, they avoid appearing in the media.
"What Sean said is true... no worries. The party will be private for close family, and people who are close to our family only." Edward Spencer smiles at his granddaughter.
Rose nodded in agreement. Deep in her heart, she did want to make a new memory; her wedding was attended by both her parents.
"Amanda, you can arrange everything. The party will be held in the main house yard, and we will discuss it later for the guests." Edward Spencer felt in a good mood now. He will make sure that old geezer Collins is shocked by this arrangement.
How could he keep Evan’s wedding a secret when the bride was his granddaughter?
"Yes, father, I will arrange everything!" Amanda couldn’t help but feel happy to arrange another wedding for her niece. And this time she will make sure to attend the party.
"Rose, I will make the best wedding party ever. And... I will invite the top singer to sing their famous songs at your wedding...." Amanda’s brain was filled with various ideas to make the wedding unforgettable.
Rose lost her words when she saw Amanda excited about their wedding party. And now, she felt a little worried because Evan didn’t know that her family would have a wedding reception without discussing it with him.
What if he refuses?
Chapter 245: Recovery
It all happened so fast. The light chats while dinner was now bearing fruit; Before fall, a wedding reception will be held at Spencer’s main house.
Now Rose is worried that her husband will be surprised by this plan.
"Little Rose, grandpa will talk to old Collins about this. But I need you to explain to Evan too. So that kid wasn’t confused if his grandpa called him...."
"Okay, Grandpa. I’ll tell Evan...."
Rose no longer chatted with the others; she focused on finishing her dinner while she was lost in her thoughts.
Her first dinner with the Spencers could warm her heart even though they were only dinner in a hospital wardroom. She will never forget this moment. Her first meeting with her father’s entire family will always be a beautiful memory in her mind and heart. This memory will never fade.
She was delighted to be with her family. This happiness would feel more complete if her mother and father were with them.
"Daughter, eat more...."
Rose was stunned, looking at a slice of meat on her plate. Her eyes were shaking. She looked at her father beside her. Somehow his actions remind her of Evan and her mother, who always fill her plate with delicious food.
She misses that moment, especially when her mother nags if she eats a little.
Suddenly she felt her eyes moist, touched by her father’s actions but also amused when she thought there was one more person who wanted to make her body swell like a pig.
Gosh!
****
The next morning.
Rose felt like a child who had found hope and happiness in the last few days. She’s hoping her mother will wake up soon. And she also felt happy because she finally met her long-lost father and his family.
She felt like flying on cloud nine. Happiness lingers inside her till she can’t stop grinning, remembering how kind all of them were last night toward her. Especially her grandpa.
Rose stared at the white ceiling, lingering on her soft bed as a smile framed her face. It’s been a long time since she woke up with this feeling.
For the last few days after her mother’s accident, this feeling of happiness and gratefulness is a luxury to her.
Her heart felt light, and her mind was not as noisy as before. There was only a serenity that greeted her morning.
Today, the fifth day, her mother lay motionless in bed. A week had passed since the last time she had spoken to her. It felt like the longing in her heart was getting stronger.
Suddenly Rose’s calm heart began to stir again with her emotions. It felt like someone had pulled her out of her nirvana. Her chest felt stiff.
She forced herself to get up and then sat on the edge of the bed. She cupped her hands before her chest and closed her eyes to pray.
"God! Give my mother your blessing. Wake her up so she can meet my dad and me. Please, God, I beg you...." She prayed for her mother like she usually does every time she remembers her.
After Rose prayed. She was shocked to know she had spent much time lingering on her bed. Now it’s almost 9 in the morning. She rushed into the bathroom and cleaned herself up.
When she left the room, she didn’t see anyone else in the living room. But when she entered the treatment room, she saw her father sitting on a chair with his back facing her. He was reading a book.
A feeling of bliss appeared inside her to see her parents like this. She smiles before greeting him, "Morning, Father..."
"Morning, Rose. Ah, you are already awake...."
Nicholas saw Rose standing on the other side of the bed, massaging Molly’s arm. She looked elegant in her outfit; a Pale gray oversized blazer with white culottes.
"Are you going somewhere?" He asked.
"Yes. I’m going to meet Aunt Amanda. She asked me to come to her office to measure my wedding dress. And after that, I will have a lunch date with Evan..." Rose felt terrible because she would leave her father again. "Father, do you mind if I go?"
"Sure! I will accompany your mother here. Go on a date with Evan. But, make sure you guys come back at dinner time." Nicholas wanted to have dinner with them and talk about their wedding reception.
"Alright, dad!" Rose continues to massage her mother’s hands without saying anything. She was lost in her thoughts while Nicholas continued reading the book in his hand.
After a few minutes, Rose slowly raises her head and looks at her father, "Dad, is there any improvement with mom’s condition?" Her voice was calm, but she could feel her heart beating fast. She was worried to hear that her mother’s condition was declining.
Gosh! She really hated it when negative feelings like this came back to haunt her mind.
"Your mother has made huge improvements. Her vital signs are starting to work normally. There is an activity in her brain... It’s only a matter of time before she wakes up."
Nicholas’ face lit up at the thought that Molly would wake up soon. They will reunite again. But something is bothering him. Although he wanted Molly to wake up soon, he was also worried; Did Molly still recognize him?
"Really, dad!?" Rose’s eyes are beaming with happiness to hear that good news.
"Mmm, continue to pray. Let God guide your mother to wake up and meet us." Nicholas said as he stood from his seat. "Daughter, let’s talk outside. You need to eat your breakfast."
After tidying her mother’s blanket and kissing her forehead, she follows her father.
Rose saw her father already sitting at the dining table with some sandwiches and fresh fruit slices neatly arranged on the table. Complete with warm tea and coffee.
"What’s the matter, dad? Is there anything that worries you?" Rose could see her father’s forehead furrowed like something bothering his mind.
