Chapter 251: Admiration

Amanda returned the sharp gaze of her spoiled niece.

"Why are you looking at me like that? If only I didn’t find out about that gathering maybe till now, I also didn’t know about Rose. Thanks to your brother Sean, I followed him and discovered all of this. All men in our family really mean; they hide this information from us!"

"What! My brother Sean also knows! How could that man who rarely returns to this city know about the gathering? How about my mother? She also came?"

Looking at the young-looking Rose opposite her, Keira was sure Rose must be the same age as her. She must be a student like her, right?

"Sister Rose, I think we are the same age, right? Are you studying in this city too?"

Keira suddenly felt envious when she noticed Rose’s eyes, similar to her father and the rest of Spencer. While she has different eyes as she inherited her mother’s eyes.

"Waah... You’re three years older than me, sister Rose. But, it’s not that far. We can still play together, right, sister? All this time, I felt lonely in the Spencer family because I don’t have friends the same age...." Keira giggles, starting to plan where they will hang out.

"Little Missy! Rose won’t have time to play with you. Unlike you, Rose was busy building her company." Amanda was mocking her pampered niece. This girl only knows how to have fun with her friends.

Keira Spencer was surprised to hear Rose already owns her company. "A startup company?" She asks.

Before Rose could reply, Sam answered.

"Wilson group, even though the company is new, the market caps are huge. Miss Keira, have you ever heard about Flash Market Place?"

"Sure, I know! My friend and I are using Flash to sell our new fashion brand...." Keira raises her brow, confused by Sam’s question. Does Flash have anything to do with Sister Rose’s business?

"Why are you asking this, Sam?"

"Flash is my Lady Boss company. You can call Flash a subsidiary company under the Wilson Group. You can google Wilson Group for more details..." Sam explained proudly.

Although their company has only been running for a few months, their two subsidiaries have been established for a long time; Flash and King Game Company. In fact, what he heard, right now, Oliver and the IT division are developing a new company that specializes in making games.

Sam once took a glimpse at their project and was shocked because they were now developing a game like never before.

Amanda was surprised. Noah Stone is the number one singer with the highest income in their company. Since he was already at his peak, he was now like a god in S99.

Almost all of her friends are boys. She has a female friend, but after graduating from high school, her friend moves to North City to follow her parents, who work there. Until now, she had never heard from her again.

Keira couldn’t focus on what Rose was talking about because her mind was too busy imagining she would become friends with Noah Stone. All her friends will die in envy if they know this.

Amanda was speechless, watching her pampering niece in a daze looking at the tightly closed elevator door. After a few seconds, she waited, but her niece was still in her place. Amanda chuckled before she slapped her shoulder.

"What the hell Auntie!! Why did you hit me?" Keira suddenly glared at her aunt after receiving a solid slap. She rubbed her shoulder, trying to get rid of the pain.

"Ooo... I just wanted to ensure that you weren’t cosplaying as a mannequin...." Amanda said as she held her laugh, amused looking at her niece’s sulky face like she wanted to swallow her alive.

"Little missy, follow me... there’s something I want to tell you. And you will love it...." With her graceful steps, Amanda left Keira. "Hurry! This is about your god by the name of Noah Stone! If you don’t come to my office in 3 seconds then sorry to say...."

"Aunttyyyyy, I’m coming!" Keira ran like a dozen zombies chasing her in a nanosecond... She already stood behind Amanda.

Amanda laughs, looking at Keira panting before her with her cheek looking redden. "You! Can you stop liking someone like this? You are not a high scholar anymore... You are a college student now! Behave like your age, can you?"

She scolded her niece as she sat on the sofa. After seeing her niece sitting opposite her, she told her about Rose’s Wedding reception party and her intention to invite Noah Stone to the wedding.

Rose must be happy if Noah Stone will sing at her wedding, right!?

"A-Aunty!! Are you sure you want to ask my idol Noah to come to my sister’s wedding?" Keira’s eyes beamed like she saw a star sparkling before her.

When Rose arrived at the lobby. From a distance, she saw Evan standing beside his black SUV. He looks handsome in his dark gray suit, and his shade makes him even more stunning.

Seeing him this handsome, suddenly Rose felt delighted and blessed. She is fortunate to have Evan as her husband. However, moments later, she felt wary when she noticed several women trying to get her husband’s attention.

Even when she walked to the main entrance, she passed three women just about to enter the building. They were talking about her husband. And it makes her a little bit sulk. Her face turned stiff, walking fast toward her husband.

"I never saw a handsome man like that. Is he one of the stars at S99 Entertainment?" The woman whispers to her two friends as they stop near the glass wall looking in Evan’s direction.

"It seems so! But his face has never appeared in any media. OMG! He definitely hasn’t debuted yet...."

"I am willing to throw myself at this handsome man. He is my type! Ah, hurry... hurry take his picture. Let’s promote him before his debut...." The other woman giggled.

"My Goddess bestie! Please don’t embarrass us!" The female with short hair said while she took her phone and tried to take Evan’s picture.

The two females rolled their eyes, looking at their friend, trying to take a picture.

"Bitch! Hahahaha... you almost make me angry. Did you take her picture? Send to our group chat. Hurry! Hurry!"

"Shit!! Bestie... look!" The woman trying to take a picture was shocked, looking in Evan and Rose’s direction.

The two women instantly turned their gaze to Evan and Rose, making them freeze. Shocked by what they saw.

Chapter 254: Sorry, Hubby!

Rose walked fast to Evan with a broad smile framing her face. She threw her body into his embrace, letting the women around them know that this handsome man was sold out. They don’t have a chance to steal her man. No way!

"Hubby, I miss you so much...." She inhales his fragrance deeply.

Evan was taken aback because Rose showed her affection in public. Usually, she will be careful to show their PDA. She is a shy type of woman when it comes to intimacy. But now!? Why did she suddenly change? Was she so excited that she couldn’t wait until they got into the car!?

"I miss you more than you know, my dear wifey!"

Rose tightens her hug, completely ignoring everyone who whispers she faintly hears. A cheeky smile framed her face as she felt happiness arise in her heart, knowing her goal was a success.

Evan whispered, "Wife, we are in public...." His hand was still wrapped on her slender waist. He pressed his body to her.

Such a beautiful melody, hearing her words... Evan couldn’t help but smile. But a second later, his smile disappeared when he saw how stiff her face was now. She looks annoyed. Instantly he felt alert and quietly listened to what she wanted to say.

"Hubby!" Rose’s voice was soft, but her tone sounded as cold as a glacier at the North Pole. "Next time, don’t leave the car if you’re waiting for me. Don’t you know? Many women want to snatch you from me! It irritates me...." Her eyes sharply looked into his eyes.

Hearing her words could make Evan overjoyed.

Damn! My wife is jealous! She is so cute when she shows her jealousy.

"My pretty Wife, are you jealous?" Slowly his right hand rubbed her cheek gently. He wanted to kiss her pouting cherry lips, but he held himself, afraid many women who saw them now would die with their PDA.

Geez, how did this guy guess, right?

Of course, she felt jealous after seeing how the women around them looked at her husband with lustful eyes!?

Evan smiled, hearing she denied it. Of course, he didn’t believe what she said. Because her jealousy is clearly visible on her face. He could only smile as pulls her again in her arms. He kissed her forehead.

Soon Evan asks Sam to go back to the office. Apparently, the husband has decided to drive the wife to a restaurant.

As soon as their car moved, Evan could sense that his wife was thinking about something. She just sat quietly staring out the window.

"What are you thinking that makes you look stressed like that!?" He was curious. Was she silent because of the Spencer family gathering that happened last night?

This early morning when Evan woke up, he read a text message from Rose telling him that she finally met almost all of the Spencer family last night. The info surprised him, as he thought his father-in-law would only introduce Rose to the Spencers after his mother-in-law woke up. But apparently, that plan has changed.

Rose smiled slightly at Evan’s question. This man sure can read her mind. She was thinking about telling him about the wedding reception party.

"Hubby, I want to apologize to you..." Rose’s soft voice could make Evan’s heart tighten. He quickly glanced at her. Confused why she suddenly apologized?

"Last night when I met my father’s family. My grandpa asked my father to hold our wedding reception at the Spencer family’s house..." Rose told him everything that happened last night.

Somehow she felt terrible because she agreed without discussing it with him first.

Evan listens in silence as he calmly drives to the private restaurant owned by one of his friends in the Little Heaven area.

"All my family agree... I can’t refuse it either. So, I agreed without discussing it with you..." She paused, looking at him. "Evan, sorry because I decided without your concern, I can’t refuse my grandfather and father; they want to witness our wedding. I hope you don’t mind...."

Evan’s laugh echoed inside the car. It made Rose knit her brow. Felt odd with his reaction.

Why did he laugh? Did he agree?

"Wifey... you make me worry too much! Earlier I thought something big was stressing you." With one of his hands, he rubs the top of her hair. "Of course, I agree. No need to feel bad. I also wanted everyone in your family to know about our wedding. Well, not only to your family but to all of this country’s citizens. I didn’t want to hide you! I’m worried that someone may steal you if they don’t know we are married...."

Rose almost choked at Evan’s words. It’s not that she doesn’t want their marriage to be known, but right now, she doesn’t want to publicize her identity because of her company. Rose wants her name to be recognized without her husband’s or her father’s family name. She will agree to publish their relationship later after her company becomes more stable.

"Hubby... Thank you because you agree. My father and Grandpa will be happy." She smiled at him before continuing, "Aunty Amanda was appointed to be our wedding planner. And this morning, I came to her office to measure my wedding dress."

"She’s the right person to take care of the party...."

"Gosh! I forgot to tell you, Aunty asked; do you want to make your suit in her place or not?"

"No need. I have someone who will take care of my suit. So we will have the reception before autumn, right?"

 

Chapter 255: Sworn Enemy

"Yes, September. We still have plenty of time. I hope my mother has woken up from her coma by that time. If she’s still in a coma, we’ll have to postpone this event until she wakes up..."

Rose’s mood changed again as her mother’s condition filled her mind. Her chest felt tight as if someone was pressing it so hard it made her hard to breathe.

Evan could feel his wife’s mood had changed. He didn’t ask again. He focused on driving the car to let his wife enjoy the sea view they passed. But a few minutes later, he heard his wife’s panicked tone.

"Evan! Why are we in little heaven? You were supposed to drive me to the apartment. I have not changed my dress...."

"No need. If we stop by, we might be late for lunch." Evan calmly replied as he parked his car in front of a two-story house with a modern facade near the beach.

"You said before you will bring me to a romantic lunch... My clothes are too casual. While you look so dashing in your suit." Rose felt terrible she couldn’t wear the dress he gave her.

Evan didn’t answer her, but he took off his suit and threw it in the back seat. Now he only wears his slim-fit white shirt and folded the sleeves to his elbows. Rose gulped, looking at how charming he was now.

"Do I look casual now?"

"H-Hmm... y-yeah..." She stuttered when she replied to him. In a hurry, she hid her blushing face while scolding her sultry thought. How dare she imagines his naked upper body when they are about to go to lunch?

"Alright! Let’s go. I guess you’re already hungry, right?" Evan chuckled when he heard her stomach rumble.

Rose is even more embarrassed.

When they got out of the car, Rose was stunned to see them parked in a modern house. She couldn’t see any trace of the restaurant in the place. The house looks like a residential house with several cars parked neatly in the front yard.

But when Rose entered, she was surprised to see the house turned out to be a restaurant with a stunning backyard complete with a vast swimming pool and bar.

The interior of the restaurant uses a mid-century modern interior. Looks stylish, and the atmosphere feels calm because only a few tables are on that floor. It’s different from the usual restaurants; crowded because there are a lot of visitors and tables. However, in this restaurant, it seems the owner has no intention of running a profit-oriented restaurant business.

She could guess that the owner of this restaurant is a rich person who only opened this place because he loves to cook for others. It won’t work if the owner wants to make a profit. And, before entering this place, Rose did not see the restaurant’s name on the front. As if the owner of this place purposely doesn’t want customers to stop by.

Seeing other people enjoying their lunch, Rose suddenly felt hungry. She thought they would sit at one of the empty tables with a pool view, but Evan brought her to the stair.

But before they were about to go to the second floor, a young man with short blonde hair greeted Evan.

"Evan, my Man... You finally come here! I thought you would cancel your lunch here today...."

The man’s voice sounded cheerful as he walked toward them. And when his eyes saw Rose standing beside Evan, he froze. He was mesmerized by Rose’s beauty; he had never met this woman before, but he heard Evan and the others talk about her a few times.

"This girl is indeed beautiful. No wonder this fool Evan is willing to wait for her for a few years. Damn!" He silently talks to himself as his eyes still look at Rose.

After a few seconds, he was finally able to regain his senses. "So, this is my sister-in-law?"

Evan didn’t reply to him. Instead, he pulled Rose standing beside him. So closed till Rose could feel their body pressed to each other.

"Wife, this is Aidan Carter. He owns this place, and he is also a talented chef." Then with a displeased look, Evan looked at Aidan, "This is my wife. You already know her name, right?"

"Hello, sister-in-law... It’s nice to finally meet you." Aidan Carter said as he reached out his hand for a handshake, but Evan didn’t give him a chance. He held Rose’s hand and climbed the stairs leaving Aidan.

"Aidan, my man! My wife is starving. Is it possible you’ll provide our lunch any slower than this?" Evan said, obviously sounding sarcastically and without looking at Aidan.

Rose was speechless.

Are they really friends? Why do they look like sworn enemies who just happen to bump in this place?

When Rose arrived on the second floor, she was surprised to see that there was no dining table on the floor, only a sofa set like a small lounge with a massive glass wall behind. She can see the blue sea out of the window. At noon, the sea looked calm, and the sky was blue.

Rose thought they would eat in the small lounge, but they didn’t. Evan led her to the only door on the floor. As she entered the room, she was astonished to see an ample space like the men’s cave she had seen on the Celebrity Cribs show; The room is like a man’s paradise. All the facilities there seem to have only one objective, to make sure people, friends, and families that gather there will have great fun.

The room was spacious enough to have a bar with various liquors lined up neatly on the shelves. There is a pool and casino table in the middle of the room.

On the other side of the room, she can see a long, square wooden dining table surrounded by twelve black leather chairs facing each other. Not only that, but she also saw a karaoke room.

Gosh! This room is so lavish.

Aidan Carter is indeed a rich man who opened this place for fun, not money.

But why did Evan bring her to this place?
