Ch. 386..390: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 386-390
Chapter 386: Know Each Other
Rose frowned at Oscar, who seemed reluctant to leave his food.
"Ask the waiter to pack your steak! You can continue eating at home..." said Rose and stood up from her chair.
At this moment, Rose just wanted to lay her head down and sleep. Maybe after she wakes up, her mind can think clearly—wishing there was no longer any doubt in her mind—that the man Carla Miller was about to meet was her husband.
On her way to Misty Mountains, Rose sat silently and stared at the snow-covered trees flanking the empty road leading to her house. Beautiful, calm, but unfortunately, the beautiful view was not able to make her mind calm.
She didn’t know how often she had taken deep breaths, trying to breathe as much air as possible so that her chest wouldn’t feel suffocating. But, no matter how much she inhaled, her chest felt heavy, as if something was pressing against her chest.
"Oscar... since when did you work with Evan?" Rose suddenly asked Oscar, who was focused on driving the car.
"Almost seven years..." Oscar replied as he quickly glanced at Rose through the rear-view mirror. "Why?"
Rose was surprised.
Almost seven years!? That means Oscar has known Evan longer than her.
"Do you know Carla Miller?" Rose suddenly felt stupid for asking such a question.
Oscar frowned, "Who doesn’t know Carla Miller? She’s a famous movie star, right?"
Although he rarely visited this country, at least he knew what was happening here, including the influential or famous people in this country.
"I mean, have you ever seen Carla Miller in person?" After asking such a question, Rose’s heart beat faster for some reason—too scared to hear Oscar’s answer.
If Oscar had met that woman, the woman must have known Evan because Oscar was Evan’s confidant. The guy would follow Evan wherever he went if he came to this country, right!?
Thinking of this makes Rose’s head immediately feel dizzy.
Oscar was silent for a moment, surprised by his boss’ sudden question. After some time, he said, "Yes, I met her twice. Why are you asking!? Do you know her too?"
Instantly Rose’s entire body froze. Her hands were clenched above her thighs as she turned her gaze to the frozen tree outside.
Carla Miller knows Evan!
And now Carla is flying to New York to accompany a particular guy for a gala dinner!? Who? Evan?
Rose felt her head spinning.
"Nothing, I was just asking..." she answered without looking at Oscar.
At this moment, countless thoughts filled Rose’s mind. What scared her the most was what she thought was true. If that happens, then...
Suddenly her body shivered. Too scary to imagine.
One of the things she hated the most after her rebirth was her husband cheating on her.
And if Evan cheated on her, she would never forgive him. She is willing to feel heartbreak rather than have to live with a man who shares his heart with another woman.
For her, there is no room for discussion with the man who is having an affair. Because in this life, she didn’t want to experience that pain again.
Silently she was busy filling in the dots in her mind; Evan delayed his return, and at the same time, Carla Miller flew to New York to accompany someone. And what annoyed him even more was that Evan and Carla knew each other.
This! Why is this too coincidental?
Soon the car stopped right in front of the main door.
"Young lady, you’re back..." Laura greeted Rose.
Rose didn’t say anything. She just gave Laura a slight nod and walked past her.
Laura was surprised to see Rose’s gloomy-looking face. With just a glance, she could feel something was bothering her young madam at the moment. Laura immediately glared at Oscar as if to ask him—what happened to my young madam? Why is she in a bad mood?
Laura was even more confused when she saw Oscar just giving her a bitter smile.
What does he mean?
Laura ignored Oscar and chased her young madam into the house. She didn’t ask anything. She just watched and kept her distance from the young madam who was walking in front of her going up to the second floor.
"Laura, you can put my bag in the study. And you can go back to your place. I’m done for today, and now I’m going to bed..." Rose said without looking at Laura.
"Yes, young madam...." Laura stared at the closed door in front of her with mixed feelings. This was the first time she had witnessed her young madam feeling gloomy. It worried her, especially now that the young master was not around.
Soon Laura entered the lounge for the staff in the basement.
Laura found Oscar sitting at the dining table.
She was surprised to see the various dishes in front of Oscar looked like food from a restaurant, not food prepared by the chef in this house.
She slowly approached Oscar and sat across from him.
Oscar started working for Rose a month ago and has also been living here for the past month. Meeting Oscar daily, Laura became close to him–like Sam, he was an amiable man.
In Laura’s eyes, Oscar was very handsome with stature, just like a model. It was hard to understand a man as lovely as him could be a bodyguard. And what amazed Laura was that this man was so easygoing, liked eating, and appreciated good food.
He could eat anything, and as soon as he ate, he ignored his surroundings—just like now.
Laura cleared her throat as she sat across from Oscar, who didn’t care about her presence. His eyes were focused on the plate in front of him, with his mouth busy chewing his food.
"Oscar..." Laura wanted to know what had happened to her young madam. But seeing the man’s expression, Laura was speechless.
How dare this man glare at her? As if afraid she would steal his steak!
Gosh!
Laura looked at Oscar with a strange expression, "Don’t worry... I won’t ask for your steak. But, I wanted to ask you something..."
Chapter 387: Reason
Oscar was relieved. He couldn’t share the steak specially made by brother Aidan for him—this was the best steak he had eaten in this country.
He swallowed the last piece of his steak as he closed his eyes, feeling the watery meat melt in his mouth. After a while, he rinsed his mouth with a glass of red wine before he said, "What do you want to know?" His voice was cheerful, reflecting his mood.
"Why did the young madam’s mood suddenly change? This morning, when she left the house, she was fine. Did something happen at the office?" Laura was worried because her mistress’s schedule was supposed to end in the afternoon. Still, now that she was back, she even wanted to take a nap—something that had never happened.
Oscar stopped drinking his wine, remembering his boss’s strange attitude. He put down his wine glass and looked at Laura with eyes that couldn’t be described with words. He just stared at her for a moment before he answered.
"I don’t know either. Lady Boss just asked me to take her home in the middle of our lunch...."
Now Laura understood why Oscar was eating at home.
"Did something happen at the restaurant?" Laura asks again—According to Oscar’s story, it seemed the young madam’s mood changed when they arrived at the restaurant.
"What I remember... Big Boss Evan extended his visit to New York and couldn’t come back to celebrate Christmas with Lady Boss, but when we started lunch, she was still fine...." Oscar suddenly stopped talking. As it crossed his mind, Rose asked about Carla Miller.
Did Lady Boss’ mood change because of that?
"What’s that!?" Laura was surprised to see the worry clearly plastered on his face.
Oscar furrowed his brows as he looked into Laura’s eyes, "Lady Boss suddenly asked about Carla Miller... does it have anything to do with it? Because after she asks about the movie star, she immediately instructs me to go home."
"Carla Miller?" Laura was a little surprised to hear the name. "What did she ask?
Is it about work?"
Laura didn’t know why her madam was suddenly asking about Carla Miller. Still, she guessed, maybe her madam wanted to discuss work, right!?
"No. It’s not about work." Oscar stopped his words, trying to remember what had happened during their lunch today. After some time, he continued. "She asked me, have I ever met Carla Miller in person? At that point, I said yes. And... after that, her mood dropped to zero. It’s weird..."
Instantly the room fell silent. Nobody spoke. They were both lost in their thoughts as if they were trying to figure it out; why did Rose’s mood change after asking about Carla Miller?
"Did madam meet Carla Miller at the restaurant?" Laura’s question broke the silence between them.
Laura wondered why Rose’s mood had suddenly changed—perhaps it had something to do with Carla Miller. Laura knew that Carla Miller was acquainted with young master Evan. In the past, she had overheard young master Evan talking to young master Sean and others about her during their visit to this house. This happened more than once.
Was Young Madam jealous of Carla Miller because she knew young master Evan? This thought distresses Laura.
"Meet Carla? No, of course not. Well, I didn’t see Carla Miller when we got there. Ah...but I saw Sean Spencer’s car. It’s just that when the boss and I had lunch, I didn’t see Sean..." He thought Sean had left the restaurant when he went into the kitchen to meet Aidan.
Laura could only take a deep breath while trying to get rid of what was on her mind. But after trying to get rid of her thoughts—that Rose met Carla at the restaurant—she still couldn’t.
"If only we could see the CCTV footage in the restaurant...." Laura muttered and stood up from her seat. She walked out of the room while praying in her heart; that her young madam’s mood would return to normal again.
"I can..."
Laura stopped and turned to look at Oscar, "What?" She asked.
"Obtained CCTV footage at the restaurant." A calm smile appeared on his face. "Why do you want to see it?"
Laura’s eyes lit up. She sat back in her chair and looked at Oscar with sparkling eyes. A sign of extraordinary relief. She just wanted to know why her young madam looked upset.
"Please, get the tape now, Oscar. Let’s see what happens in the restaurant. Maybe we can find out why my young madam suddenly became sad...."
Like getting a bright light after walking through a long dark tunnel, Oscar smiled, looking at Laura.
Damn! Why hadn’t he thought of this before?
Oscar quickly reached for his laptop and typed fast. While Laura waited for him at the side in shock.
Seeing Oscar’s fingers typing so fast on the keyboard with sharp eyes staring at the black screen in front of him made Laura stupefy.
"O-Oscar, are you a hacker?" Laura looked away from Oscar’s fingers, which were still dancing on the keyboard. She looked at Oscar’s cold-looking side profile in awe.
This skinny pale man is a hacker?
Oscar could only curse himself a hundred times in his heart after hearing Laura’s question. He was so stupid to reveal his secret in front of this girl. Damn!
However, this is a critical moment. Oscar had no other choice but to continue what he was doing.
Without stopping what he was doing, Oscar answered Laura, "Miss Martin, it’s a child-play... you don’t have to be a hacker to be able to check CCTV footage. Even Sam can do it after learning from watching videos on youtube..." Oscar could only praise himself for finding an excuse to deceive Laura.
"Wow! Really?"
"Ayee!!"
"Can I learn too?" Laura felt like learning. Maybe in the future, this ability can make her job more manageable.
"S-Sure!! I can teach you..." Suddenly Oscar’s throat felt dry. Since becoming Oliver’s teacher, he never intended to teach anyone else. But it turns out that the simple answer made Laura motivated to learn about hacking!?
He felt like crying.
Chapter 388: Provoked
Shortly after...
"Finished!! This... you can see for yourself." Oscar’s voice echoed through the room.
Then he shifted the laptop monitor to Laura before he played the CCTV footage. Their eyes were focused on the monitor. They saw Rose going up to the restaurant’s second floor, but before she arrived, she stopped.
They were both confused.
But after that, they looked at another CCTV footage. They saw a female figure sitting near the stairs.
Laura and Oscar are shocked when they look at the woman’s face.
"What was Carla Miller doing there?" Oscar was dumbfounded to see Carla Miller’s lunch there, alone.
"I knew it!! The young madam must have met that woman." Laura couldn’t help but feel irritated.
After some time, they saw Rose continue her step. But... later, they were both shocked. They saw Carla Miller standing up from her seat and approaching Rose—looked like she was provoking Rose.
"What the heck!! Carla Miller said something to Lady Boss!?" Oscar suddenly felt worried. He knew who Carla Miller was, and from the first time he met this woman, he immediately disliked her.
"Can we hear what they’re talking about!?" Laura asked without taking her eyes off the CCTV footage. She was worried to see that Carla Miller was bullying her young madam.
Even though Oscar wanted to hear what they were talking about, he couldn’t. Because CCTV in restaurants can only record images, not audio.
"Sorry! I can not ..." There was regret in Oscar’s tone.
It wasn’t only Laura who was worried. Oscar also felt the same way. He felt his blood boil from how odd this woman was. She was like a blood-sucking leech that always clung to Sean, and his Boss disliked her.
He let his guard down. Now, he regretted letting Rose go to the second floor even though he already knew Sean’s car was in the parking lot. There was a chance that Sean would bring this woman, but he still let her go to the second floor alone.
Oscar could only swallow his own rage and shut his mouth tightly.
"I wonder... What did Carla say to the young madam? Why did the madam’s mood suddenly drop to zero!?"
"This...." Oscar stopped his words and reluctantly said something. He immediately closed his laptop and was about to leave the room, but before he left the room, Laura stopped him.
Laura was surprised to see Oscar’s strange expression as he left the room. She could sense that this man was hiding something from her.
"Oscar, please stop!!" Laura walked quickly to him. "Tell me, what do you know about Carla Miller? Please don’t hide anything from me. I know you are hiding something from me, Oscar. And, you also know I have to protect my young Lady Boss, mentally and physically. If young master Evan finds out his wife is as sad as she is now, he definitely won’t be happy!?"
Seeing the persistence in Laura’s eyes made Oscar baffled.
"This..." Oscar took a deep breath before he asked Laura to follow him to the sitting area. After they sat facing each other, he glanced at Laura again.
"I... I don’t really know Carla Miller. But all I know is she’s close to Sean Spencer. And I’ve seen her a few times with Evan... It was when we had gatherings if I remember correctly."
"Yeah? I think I know that too..." Laura said.
Oscar was surprised to learn that Laura knew that, "Laura, has boss Evan ever brought Carla here?"
Laura shook her head. "No! Of course not. Young master Evan never brought that woman here. But I’ve heard them talk about that woman. So I concluded that the woman is friends with young masters Sean and Evan."
"Thank goodness! It would not be delightful if that woman ever visited this place. Lady boss would certainly be jealous!" Oscar massaged his temple, which suddenly felt hurt — thinking about the past.
"What do you mean?" Laura was confused by his words.
Any stories between that woman and young master Evan? Now, Laura’s heart felt uneasy.
Oscar didn’t answer Laura immediately but pondered for a moment, thinking whether to tell her or not.
After some time...
"Actually, Carla Miller had a crush on Sean Spencer since high school, but Sean never liked her back. He only saw her as a friend. Interestingly, that woman was our big boss’ first crush..."
Oscar fell silent when he saw Laura’s surprised expression. A soft laugh escaped his mouth before he continued, "But, back then... Carla Miller never gave our big Boss a chance. Because she only liked Sean Spencer..."
Laura was utterly shocked by what she heard.
"And, back then, no one knew our Big Boss’s identity as the young master of the Collins family, including Carla Miller. So she’s not interested in him. She’s only interested in Sean because of his wealth..." Oscar wanted to say that, but he held it back. Laura didn’t need to know about this.
"That woman is so mean! At first, she never turned down our Boss. She seemed to give him hope. But, at some point, she told boss Evan that Sean liked her, accepted Sean’s feelings, and rejected our big Boss...." Oscar felt hurt again, remembering those times. When his big Boss is heartbroken over that damn woman.
"O-Oscar... does our young madam know about this!?" Laura’s worries grew stronger. Moreover, the footage looks on CCTV as if Carla said something to provoke Rose. "Did that woman provoke our young madam?"
"Well... I don’t know. But, if Carla did it... now, we know why our Lady Boss sulked after meeting that woman..."
Laura nodded in agreement.
"Damn, Big Boss!! Your wife is jealous now..." Oscar could only scold his big Boss in his heart for prolonging his business trip to the USA.
If the big boss went home as planned, his wife wouldn’t be as gloomy as now.

Meanwhile, somewhere in America,
Gavin and a burly man with a scar on his left cheek stood by the bed, surrounded by medical equipment.
Their eyes stared at the handsome man who lay motionless on the bed.
Chapter 389: Ambushed
There were only hospital beds and medical equipment around an empty room dominated by white paint.
The burly man and Gavin stood in silence. Neither of them said anything. It was as if they were drowning in their own thoughts. The tranquility of the room makes the room even more chilly. The only sound that could be heard was the usual ’beep-beep-beep’ in hospitals.
Gavin stares at the man lying motionless on the bed with a sad, worried, scared expression flashing through his eyes. No language can describe how Gavin feels right now.
After a few moments in silence...
Gavin finally turned his worried gaze to the burly man beside him, "Wolf! We have to notify the command center..."
The burly man’s deep eyes stared straight into Gavin’s eyes with an unreadable look before his deep-hoarse voice sounded, "Absolutely not! Have you forgotten!? What did the Chief say before he lost consciousness?"
Gavin rubbed the back of his neck as he took a deep breath. He was utterly speechless as if all the words he had in mind had suddenly disappeared.
"What’s going on here shouldn’t be leaking everywhere. Especially the Astington basecamp. You should know the reason why!?" Wolf sneered as he turned his gaze to the man on the bed.
Gavin knew why the Chief had asked them to keep this accident a secret. But he just wanted to tell the Astington office to be extra careful after their Chiefs were attacked in the Brooklyn area.
That well-calculated attack left Gavin and others unable to avoid a bloody battle—Ten against nearly 200 hundred people wielding advanced weapons attacking them.
If their Chief had not stepped in the battle, they all might perish by then. However, their Chief’s actions made the snipers lurking at some place take the opportunity to shoot him—causing him to be injured and require surgery. This bloody ambush also claimed several Silver Phoenix members’ lives.
When their Chief was shot, Gavin thought they wouldn’t escape from the place, but at the crucial moment, Wolf and his team arrived on the scene to save them from that massacre.
Remembering what happened that night made Gavin’s stomach stir. The gunshot wound on his hand couldn’t make him feel any pain, but the thought of his boss getting hurt and seeing his pale face could tear his heart.
Still vivid in Gavin’s mind before the Chief had surgery, he forbade them to tell anyone about this incident. Not even his wife—Chief could only speak a few words to his wife without revealing what he had been through.
Gavin just wanted to ask Oscar to check why their Chief’s identity was leaked. Their trip was top secret. No one knew where they were. Nevertheless, the attackers knew their movements, and success ambushed them in empty streets.
However, despite his curiosity, Gavin agreed with what Wolf said—He couldn’t disobey his Chief’s orders.
"You two need to take some more rest!" Suddenly an old man’s voice came from the door. "He will be fine, but he won’t be awake for the next few hours. So, leave this room and rest. Especially you, Gavin! You must be ready when your Chief wakes up. You must leave this country ...."
Gavin and the burly man were surprised to see a skinny, gray-haired man walking into the room.
"O-Old Master..." Gavin greeted him politely and immediately left the room, along with Wolf. They left the Old Master alone. He is now accompanying the motionless Evan Collins by himself.

The next day at Misty Mountain, near the Capital of Astington.
The cold air pierced Rose’s muscles and bones, making her wake up. She slowly opened her eyes. However, a blinding light obscured her vision. She closed her eyes tightly as she endured the chill that was now making her whole body shiver—it felt like all her muscles were frozen.
After a while, she was finally able to move her stiff body. She took the winter coat at the end of the bed and wrapped her tiny body.
"Is the room heater broken?" Rose muttered under her breath. Before she wanted to call Laura, her eyes stopped at the window.
She was dumbstruck.
No wonder the room that was supposed to be warm turned out to be very cold—it felt like she was camping at the North Pole in the middle of winter. Last night, she forgot to close the window.
Her mind was too busy thinking about Evan not calling her until the wee hours of the morning. She tried to call him a few times, but his cell phone was unreachable. But before she fell asleep, she received a text from Evan. He asks her to go to her parent’s house to celebrate Christmas with them. He also promised to be back soon.
Rose got out of bed and slowly dragged her feet to the window. After closing the window tightly, she stared at the sight that unfolded before her eyes—the clear blue sky and the snow-covered trees could make her mind calm and serene.
The chill that pierced her bones slowly disappeared—replaced with warmth.
Later...
Rose prepared herself to go to her parent’s house. She would have breakfast with them and stay there until her husband returned from his business trip.
Rose’s sudden departure to her parent’s house obviously worried Laura—especially since she found out yesterday that her young madam had met Carla Miller.
"Young madam, I will accompany you to stay there..." Laura felt reluctant to let her young madam leave the house early in the morning. She didn’t even have breakfast. It made the kindhearted assistant worry a lot.
Is the young madam angry that she decided to return to her parent’s house?
Laura wanted to ask but was worried that the young madam’s mood would be spoiled.
"No need, Laura. Don’t worry, I will take care of myself. Besides, there is my mother..." Rose smiled. "Why are you so worried? I only stayed there a few nights and will return when my husband returns from his business trip...."
"But, before the young master left the country, he told me to look after you. I am worried...."
Chapter 390: Jealous For No Reason
Rose’s brow slightly wrinkled as she looked at the worried Laura.
"Laura, the one who asked me to return to my parents’ house was Evan. You don’t have to worry. Mmm... let’s just say in the next few days I’m giving you a day off. So, enjoy your holidays..." Rose lightly patted Laura’s shoulder before she got into the car.
Laura was at a loss for words. She couldn’t argue with her young madam.
"Young madam, make sure you never go out without Oscar. promise me?"
"Hmm... I will."
Laura stood where she was, watching the black SUV disappear from her sight.
While in the car.
"L-Lady Boss, I know you are angry with boss Evan. But, I beg you, don’t go to your parents’ house. It will be complicated if your parents find out you are fighting with your husband..." said Oscar seriously.
Rose, "..." What did this stupid Oscar mean? Who’s fighting with Evan?
"Well, I’m sorry if my words bothered you. However, as someone who’s known Evan for a long time and knows how much he loves and cherishes you, I hope you’ll consider your decision..." Oscar glanced at Rose with concerned eyes. Until now, he was still in shock to know Rose suddenly told him she would stay at her parent’s house for a while.
Remembering what happened yesterday, Oscar could guess. His big boss and lady boss must be fighting. So, now Lady Boss ran away to her parent’s house.
As Lady Boss’ bodyguard, he couldn’t let this happen. He had to do something to help his big boss.
Rose secretly laughed hearing this fool Oscar’s words. Just before she wanted to answer, this fool continued his words again.
"Boss! Don’t worry. I can help you forget what happened yesterday..." Oscar’s lips curved slightly into a brilliant smile.
Rose frowned.
"I found a new restaurant. The food in the restaurant is delicious. I’m sure if you eat there, you will definitely forget all the troubles you are facing now..." Oscar’s eyes lit up at the thought of the western restaurant he found a few days ago. "Boss, let’s eat there this afternoon. I will ask Oliver and the others to lunch with us...."
Rose was speechless. This food-enslaved person, how could he have an idea like this!? Gosh!
"Oscar, thank you for your advice. But..." Rose shifted her gaze to the scenery outside—actually, she is lazy to explain to this stupid Oscar—before continuing, "Where did you get that thought from? I didn’t run away from home. But, my husband... He asked me to go there to celebrate Christmas with my parents rather than being alone at home...."
Oscar almost choked hearing that. At this moment, he just wanted to slap his face for talking nonsense.
Rose ignored Oscar, her eyes staring at the white snow along the way.
This morning she was happy after receiving a few texts from Evan. Reading a series of short messages from him made her worries slowly disappear.
Now all that was left was shame on herself. Because, yesterday, she had become childish—Jealous for no reason.
How could she have such thoughts?
She had forgotten that Evan had vowed to her that there was no other woman in his heart, only her. She believes him.
As for her suspicions about Carla Miller, she would put them aside for now.
In another text message, Rose read this morning...
Evan told her that tonight the person who helped him founded Dream Inc asked him to spend Christmas with his family. And Evan couldn’t refuse because he already considered that person as his teacher, his family. He was so sorry—on their first Christmas as a married couple, he couldn’t come back—that’s why he asked her to return to her parent’s house for a while.
Rose could accept and understand Evan’s reasoning. She knew that the person’s merit was immense—Evan built his business without his family’s help but with that person’s help.
Soon they arrived at Rose’s parent’s house.
Rose immediately went to the dining room to meet her parents after asking the housekeeper to prepare a room for Oscar—her bodyguard would also stay in this house.
As soon as Rose entered the dining room, her footsteps stopped. Suddenly her heart warmed to see such a beautiful sight—her parents chatted at the dinner table, and occasionally she saw her parents laughing happily. Somehow, their loving chatter made her feel blessed.
Even though she couldn’t be with Evan tonight, her parents would cheer her up. She felt grateful. After so many days, she finally had time to have breakfast with them again.
"Mom, Dad... Why don’t you guys eat?"
Molly and Nicholas smiled broadly as soon as they saw Rose.
"Rose, you come... My dear, we’re waiting for you. Hurry up, sit here..." Molly asked Rose to sit beside her and fill her plate with so much food. "You have to eat a lot. You’re so skinny..."
"Gosh!! Mom, I’m overweight..." Rose was silent. Even though she no longer lived with her mother, whenever her mother had the chance, she would feed her like a pig—she would never stop until all the plates were empty.
Nicholas agreed with his wife. Their daughter looks skinny. Moreover, she was too busy with her work and sniper training, making Nicholas worry about her health.
"Daughter, don’t work too hard. Let Oliver and the others take care of the company. You have to take care of yourself. And I heard from your grandfather that your shooting practice is getting intense. I’m afraid you’ll get sick if you do everything without rest...."
Nicholas Spencer experienced such training. He knew how tired his daughter was—physical exercises, combat training, and many more. His father only gave his daughter a day off every weekend. And what worries him more, his daughter is still actively working in the Wilson Group.
Rose "..."
As usual, her father must have tried to persuade her to stop practicing shooting. She was used to hearing it and had an answer every time this conversation came up.
Rose could only continue maintaining her Mona Lisa smile as she ’politely’ replied to her father, "Dad. Do not worry about me...."
