Ch. 391..395: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 391-395
Chapter 391: Company Progress
But Rose’s smile only lasted a few seconds. Nicholas’ follow-up words could silence her.
"Daughter, can you stop practicing shooting? I think your skills are above the average soldier’s. So I don’t think there’s any need to continue that hard training anymore...."
Rose didn’t reply to Nicholas Spencer immediately but only smiled, looking at him.
"Dad, I know this training is tough and takes much perseverance, but so far, so good. I think I enjoy shooting practice more than I expect. So I don’t think there’s any reason to stop, right!? Also, this practice made me confident in using firearms...."
Rose is still worried about the peculiar things that happened to her after her rebirth—from kidnappings to murders. And, if something like that happened again, she didn’t want to depend on the bodyguards but she wanted to be able to protect herself.
Nicholas could only take a deep breath hearing his daughter’s words.
Rose’s stubbornness always made Nicholas Spencer feel helpless. His little daughter reminded him of his younger self.
In the past, Nicholas Spencer also rarely obeys his father’s wishes. He suddenly stopped being a sniper and changed his interest from active soldier to a doctor. At that time, Old Spencer was furious with his son and repeatedly tried to persuade him not to change his life interest. Still, Old Spencer failed because Nicholas was firm with his decision to become a doctor—Only because of his desire to see Molly again.
And now, Nicholas felt what his father felt in the past—He couldn’t convince his little daughter to stop this hell-shooting practice.
Nicholas wanted to stop Rose, not because he didn’t want Rose to be the best sniper no. But he didn’t want to see her suffer because what his daughter experienced now was hell training, equivalent to special forces training in the military. As a father, he couldn’t bear to see her suffer.
"Daughter, but you must remember that safety and health come first. Don’t push yourself too hard. You’re just an ordinary person, not a special force...." Even if he couldn’t convince her, he could at least remind her to be more careful. He plans to talk again with his father about his little daughter’s training method.
"I will, dad..." Rose faintly smiles.
"Rose, why did Evan extend his trip?" Molly suddenly brought up this topic. She was displeased that her son-in-law couldn’t be with them on Christmas Eve.
"His business mentor asked him to stay to spend Christmas Eve there..." Rose told her mom and dad about Evan’s mentor living in America.
"How about New Year’s Eve? He must be back, right?" asked Molly again. She hopes to celebrate New Year’s Eve with her family—her husband, daughter, and son-in-law. This will be the first time the four will gather to celebrate New Year’s Eve, and she is looking forward to this happy moment.
"Yes, mom, Evan will join us. He’ll be back the day after tomorrow..." Rose explained.
"He should!" Nicholas’ eyes flash with anger. He was a little upset when he learned that his son-in-law would be celebrating Christmas abroad, leaving his wife here alone.
With a gentle tone and sweet words, Rose answered her father, "Father, your son-in-law will definitely come. He wouldn’t dare miss new year’s eve either. He’s afraid of you...." Rose smiled sweetly to comfort her father. The topic of Evan extending his business trip was too much to talk about, leaving her exhausted.
Afraid her father would be angrier, Rose tried to divert their conversation.
"Dad, what have you been doing lately?" Rose knew that her father had applied for reassignment to the capital — keeping him out of work in recent months and only staying at home or traveling with her mother.
Nicholas frowned. Confused, why is his daughter talking about his activities in the middle of talking about his despicable son-in-law?
"Why are you asking? You already know that I’m busy accompanying your mother. We have been separated for a long time, so this opportunity—to spend time with her—is a very precious time for me..."
Nicholas’ deep eyes stared at the only woman who could hold his heart, his beloved.
Rose almost choked.
Oh, God! Why is dad trying to show me his PDA again?
Rose immediately regretted asking.
"Dad, please be serious..."
"I’m serious..." Nicholas turned his curious gaze to Rose. "Why do you ask?"
"Nothing. Forget it..." Rose quickly finished her breakfast and said goodbye to them.
She had to leave now before her parents showed their affection again. She didn’t want to see it—when her husband was on another continent.
"Evan, please come home soon... I miss you!" She silently talks to herself.
When Rose arrived at the new office Wilson Tower, she was immediately preoccupied with meeting Oliver in her office room.
As CEO of the Wilson Group, Oliver reports to her the company’s progress so far.
W Mining Company has started operations. Cooperation with the Dream Mining company makes the development of gold mining operations faster. Dream Mining is not a new mining contractor in the country, but they have a lot of experience. The collaboration of these two companies in managing the gold mine in Vale City has dramatically impacted the country’s mining industry.
Meanwhile, Rapid Realty is now starting to improve operationally. And this is under the leadership of new management—Oliver and Randy have made this company have great potential in Vale city. Even the following year, they planned to expand to other cities. They moved the headquarters of Rapid Realty to the capital.
What impressed Rose the most was the development of Flash Company. This is the first company she founded when she started Wilson Group. Now Flash has begun to generate revenue for the company. And since Noah Stone became the Brand Ambassador of Flash, the company has been recognized throughout the country.
Even now, Flash could change people’s habits to start believing in online selling and offline shopping simultaneously. Many people said Flash was a pioneer of the digital revolution in this country.
Now, Wilson Group’s source of wealth comes from Flash, and the King Game company also brings vast income.
Chapter 392: Successor
Hearing Oliver’s report made Rose even more excited to start the new year. They have many plans, one of which is their project to enter the fashion industry. This new company will bring Wilson Group officially compete with big fashion companies in the country.
"Thank you, Oliver, for working so hard for this company. Even though we have only been established for six months, our achievements are amazing...."
The Wilson Group wouldn’t have gotten to this point if Rose had done it alone—Oliver was the key person that brought the Wilson Group to this point.
All of the Wilson Group’s achievements today are thanks to the help of Oliver and her friends. While her? She is not involved too much in the company’s operations.
When she founded the Wilson Group, Rose recruited talented people and provided money.
For venture capital matters, she used her experience in her previous life to earn as much money in the stock market. And now, Wilson Group is no longer having trouble finding capital because the company’s cash flow has started to run well.
"Damn, boss!! Don’t flatter me...." Oliver chuckled. "It’s teamwork. I can’t do this alone. But there’s Randy and the others...." He would not claim this success alone because he knew this was not the work of one Man. Many genius people, like his friends and colleagues, had suffered too to help him through it.
"I know... but I still have to thank you." Rose smiled. "Therefore, I want to give you a year-end gift. What do you want? Just tell me, and I’ll buy it for you..."
"Are you sure?"
"Hmm!!"
"Young Lady...don’t ever ask like that, or you’ll regret it!" Oscar rolled his eyes.
"Oh my God, Oliver! Don’t get your hopes up too high!!" Rose knew what he was thinking. This stupid young Man must have thought she was offering an expensive gift like a car, a house, or other valuable objects. Geez!
"Damn! Then why do you ask? You know my taste is high, right?"
"My dear... I just wanted to give you a small gift. And, Oliver, could you throw away what you think now?" she said in a childlike tone as if she was trying to comfort a child.
Oliver, "..."
"I also want to ask your permission...." Rose’s voice suddenly sounded sharper.
"Permission? What do you mean by permission, boss?"
"Hmm... can I borrow your girlfriend for a bit?" Rose smiled faintly at Oliver’s reddened face.
"Oo... sure, sure you can! Excuse me for a minute." Oliver stood and left the room quickly—afraid Rose would tease him.
This girl never fails to tease him since he is officially dating Keira.
Oliver stood in front of Rose’s office as he gently stroked his chest, trying to calm down after being teased by Rose.
Before Oliver wanted to leave, he heard a familiar voice—fingers dancing on the keyboard.
His body reacted to the sound, and he turned his gaze to the voice. He was stunned by what he saw now—Oscar typing so fast on his laptop. For a slight moment, he stared at those fingers.
"There you are! I Finally found you... my future padawan!" Says Oliver. And with a broad smile, he walked toward Oscar Jennings.
If Oscar knew what Oliver was thinking now, he would probably vomit blood. How could his disciple have the guts to teach him?
With light but steady steps, Oliver approached Oscar’s table. "Oscar, you are so talented..." Oliver couldn’t help but praise Oscar.
Oscar was surprised to find Oliver standing beside him and hearing his words, leaving him confused. "Talented, what do you mean?"
"I can see that you have great talent with computers and gadgets. My Man, what do you say if you become my disciple?" Oliver smiled at him.
"What? Your disciple!?" Oscar was getting more and more confused by Oliver’s attitude. "Sorry, I don’t get it. What do you mean by being your disciple?"
Oliver didn’t answer immediately but asked Oscar to follow him to a quiet place in a corner.
"Okay, now that we’re alone in the corner, tell me what it is. And do tell me quickly. I have to finish the report for Lady Boss!" Oscar said impatiently. This stupid Oliver has wasted a few minutes of his precious time.
Since becoming Rose’s bodyguard, many of Oscar’s main tasks have been pending. He could only work when Rose was at home. And lately, for some reason, Rose has had to go to the office every day—This makes Oscar’s work pile up.
"Oscars, did you know? You have amazing typing speed. Above the average normal human that I’ve ever seen. That’s why I said you are very talented in computers and gadgets."
Oliver lightly patted Oscar on the shoulder as he smiled at him like a father smiling at his son, "Are you interested in becoming a hacker?"
Although Oliver’s tone was casual, every word he said was like a joke in Oscar’s ears. He tries his best to hold his laugh.
What the fuck! This Man wanted to teach him to be a hacker?
"A hacker!?"
"Yes! I happen to be looking for the right person to be my successor. And, I was immediately interested in teaching you when I saw the speed of your fingers ..." said Oliver proudly.
The corners of Oscar’s lips slowly curled up to form a ridiculous smile. This was the best joke he had ever heard—his students wanted to teach him. He didn’t know whether to be happy or sad.
"So, are you interested?" Oliver believed that Oscar would not refuse him.
Who doesn’t want to be a hacker? Everyone out there wants it, right!? But unfortunately, there is no particular school for hackers like him. He was fortunate to meet his master, S3T4N, and now, he wants to have students to share his knowledge.
Oscar, "..."
"You’d better think about it first. Because, if you become a hacker, you can have everything; money and power."
"Sorry! Not interested..." Oscar said.
Oliver was surprised by Oscar’s answer.
"Oscar, you better accept my offer soon. Think about it. Okay, you know what, I’ll give you a week...." Oliver didn’t want to let go of his future student. He would try to get him no matter what.
Oscar ignored Oliver, returned to his seat, and back sank into his work.
Chapter 393: Romance Bloom In The Office
Oliver couldn’t force Oscar at this point. But, he also won’t give up on his talent. He will find a way to bring him to become his disciple—His mind is filled with all kinds of ideas to recruit Oscar.
Soon Oliver returned to his office room.
How surprised he was when he entered his office, he saw Keira sitting on the sofa. And as their eyes locked with each other, he felt like something warm poured over his body. Instantly upset feeling because Oscar rejected his offer slowly faded—her smile could wash away all his worry and give him a warm and tranquil feeling.
He just stood where he was for a moment, trying to indulge his eyes on her beautiful oval face. The happy feeling he was to see his girlfriend is immeasurable.
He had been alone all this time, not because he didn’t want a girlfriend, but because he didn’t have time to find a woman who could stir his heart. Until Keira appeared in his life—this girl was able to make his heart tremble and feel the warmth he had forgotten for a long time. He never thought he would have a girlfriend so soon.
At first, Oliver only saw her as an employee and Rose’s cousin, but after seeing this girl’s persistence in approaching him, her seriousness slowly melted his cold heart. After meeting several times, Oliver finally realized that Keira was special to him. He would be happy to see her and would terribly miss her if she did not appear.
"You came..." Oliver’s sweet smile framed his face as he walked over and sat across from her. "Keira, you look a little worried, what’s wrong?"
"Sorry Oscar, I can’t have lunch with you. Sister Rose took me shopping..." Keira said regretfully.
Even though she wanted to have lunch with him, she also didn’t want to refuse Rose—This is the first time he would go shopping with his sister.
Now she’s at a loss whether to ask him out with them or not!?
"Yes, I know. Rose told me..."
"Okay! I’m going to see Rose now. She has texted me a few times, telling me she was ready..." Keira stood up from her chair, but when she passed Oliver, her hands were grabbed and suddenly her body fell—sitting on his lap. The shock hadn’t gone away, she could feel Oliver’s arms wrapped around her waist.
Keira’s fair face turned red. Her eyes didn’t blink at him. Her heart started beating faster as Oliver’s face drew closer to her. So close, she could feel his breath brushing against her face.
"Baby, there’s no need to rush..." he said as he smoothed her hair. With warm eyes, he took a long glance at her face before giving her a peck on her lips.
"O-Oliver... we’re at the office. How..." Before Keira could finish her sentence, Oliver’s lips pressed against hers, so softly it made her heart beat even faster.
Keira’s breath quickened, but she had no intention of refusing. The sudden kiss brought all the thinking power in Keira’s brain back to zero, she could only follow his lead when his tongue tangled with her.
After the kiss...
Keira’s face reddened. Her eyes looked at him with mixed emotions.
No words came out of their mouths. For a moment they just stared at each other lovingly.
"I, I have to go now, Oscar..." Keira finally came to her senses after her phone vibrated. "Sister Rose would have come here if I didn’t come out..."
"Fine! Go... have fun with her. But, remember, this noon I’ll take you somewhere..." Oliver kissed her forehead, then let go of his embrace.
He was reluctant to let her go, but how could he forbid her to go with Rose? His female-domineering Boss would eat him alive if he did that.
"Huh!? To go somewhere? Oliver, I can’t. I have to get home before nightfall..." If there wasn’t a family dinner at Spencer’s main house tonight, she would definitely choose to spend the night with Oliver. However, this annual event can’t be missed.
Moreover, this year was the first time that Rose and her mother had joined them. She didn’t want to miss this.
Oliver could only sigh softly hearing her words.
Having a relationship with Keira is not an easy thing. Because the girl’s status was unusual. Her father is a famous politician who is preparing to become a presidential candidate. Her grandfather was the highest military leader in the country and her aunt heads the business giant Spencer Group.
He wasn’t afraid of meeting Keira’s family. The only thing that concerns him is, Keira’s father has not permitted her to have a boyfriend while she was in college. That was why they were in this relationship secretly.
"Dear, when will you take me to meet your parents?" Even though now he was just joking, the sadness in his eyes became clearer.
"This!" Keira was silent. Couldn’t find the words to reply to him. Deep in her heart, she wanted to take Oliver to meet her parents, but how could she do that? Her father was very strict. Her father was old-fashioned.
Keira lowered her head because she couldn’t bear to see Oliver’s disappointed eyes.
"S-Sorry Oliver... Please be patient. After I graduate from college I will take you to meet my mother." Keira couldn’t help but smile bitterly. Her father said he can date after finishing college. She really didn’t understand her father’s old-fashioned thoughts. But, she also can’t do much, she will only follow his wishes while dating Oliver secretly.
Oliver smiled as he rubbed the top of her hair, "Hahaha, Keira, I’m just kidding. Of Course, I’ll wait until you’re ready..." His loving voice was able to make the girl in front of him smile again.
Oliver could understand Keira’s father’s strict rules because Keira was still too young. He will wait. Waiting for two years was easy for someone like him who had never thought of getting married before.
Chapter 394: Gift
That afternoon, Rose and Keira went shopping at the Collins Group’s mall. It’s right beside their office building—Oscar accompanied them as usual.
"Keira, can you suggest to me what to buy for grandpa?"
"Anything, sister... Don’t worry about the price. What matters is your intention to give him. Grandpa is a simple person, so whatever you buy for him, Grandpa will be happy to receive..."
"Hmm... You’re right."
What Keira said was true. But still, Rose couldn’t make up her mind, she was nervous—afraid her Grandpa wouldn’t like the gift she had chosen.
Meanwhile, she had already found a present for her mother and father. Lately, her parents are so adorable—using matching clothes. So, Rose decided to buy them a cute pair of sweatshirts.
"Boss, your grandfather seems to like firearms. Why don’t you give him a gun or rifle?" Oscar, who was following them from behind, also shared his idea.
"Oscar, no one sells rifles at the mall." Keira laughed at Oscar’s extreme suggestion. "Besides, my grandfather’s weapon collection can’t be bought casually..."
"Miss Keira, of course, I know." Oscar laughed. "Well, If you want, I can help you to get rare firearms..." He could contact his people in Europe to send firearms for him.
"Thank you, Oscar, but no need. Giving my grandfather a gun is too ordinary, nothing special. I’m sure many people would give him such a gift..."
"What my sister said is true. Every grandpa’s birthday, he will receive firearms from his friends."
"What about the painting? Elders usually like painting collections..." Oscar suggested again.
"Good idea, but we don’t have much time to look for it. After all, it’s just a casual celebration gift, not a birthday gift..." Keira said.
After giving Rose many ideas, and all of them were rejected, Oscar was lost for words—he followed them around the mall in silence.
Not long after, Keira took Rose to a luxury shop that caught her attention.
"Sis, there’s a watch shop over there. Let’s have a look for a while, just in case there’s a watch that fits Grandpa..."
Rose delight.
She also had the idea of buying a watch for Evan. If there was an interesting watch, she wanted to buy one for her grandfather too.
"Boss, happy shopping... I’ll be waiting for you there..." Oscar pointed to the waiting area. After sitting down, Oscar immediately took out his cell phone.
He has an important task; enlighten his student Oliver who dared to recruit him.
But before he could successfully teach Oliver a lesson, he got shocking news from his underground resource; a Silver Phoenix member got ambushed in New York City.
Instantly Oscar’s body stiffened, remembering that Big Boss was now in New York.
Which team is being attacked?
Oscar was typing fast on his cell phone trying to find info about the incident. A few minutes later his knees immediately went limp.
"Boss in an accident!" Oscar murmurs silently as he makes a secure line to contact Gavin but he doesn’t pick up. Without waiting, he sent a short message.
[Oscar] Gavin, are you guys fine?
Boss Evan’s safety was his biggest concern right now. It causes him distress.
"Boss Evan... must be fine!" He silently speaks to himself.
After waiting for a while there was no reply from Gavin. Obviously, this worried him even more.
Why didn’t Gavin answer? It’s still 11 PM in New York, there’s no way he’s asleep right now unless he’s injured.
Oscar pinched his brows feeling useless and scared.
If only he had brought his laptop, he could hack the CCTV at Boss and Gavin’s current location. Now, he can’t do anything hacking using his phone, he needs a laptop.
While he was worried about Evan’s attack, Oscar’s eyes fell on Rose. She chatted with the shopkeeper, accompanied by Keira who was standing beside her.
Rose’s sweet smile is indeed very beautiful, but what will happen if she finds out her husband has an incident?
Thinking of the sad Rose made Oscar’s head spin.
"Madam boss can’t know!!"
"Should I return to the office for a moment?" The W Tower location is next to this mall, so he can go back to his office for a while. But, remembering his duty to not leave the lady boss, made him confused.
Later...
He suddenly remembered that one of the leaders at the USA office, Wolf. He quickly dialed his number.
"Please pick up, Wolf!!" His heart was restless before knowing Boss Evan’s condition.
"Oscars!? Why did you call me in the middle of the night?" Wolf’s irritated voice came from the other end of the line.
"Brother Wolf! How is he?" Not having time to greet Wolf, he immediately asked about Evan’s condition.
"What are you talking about!?"
"Don’t hide anything from me. I know what’s going on in Brooklyn!"
"H-How do you know?"
"That’s not important. Most importantly, how is he?" Oscar felt like hitting Wolf in the head.
Can he answer her question directly without asking back!?
Damn!!
"He is fine."
"You’re lying!!" If boss Evan was okay, he was now on the plane back to Astington and celebrating Christmas Eve with his wife, right!? Everyone knows that Evan is obsessed with his wife.
"I’m not lying! The Chief is fine, he’s at the Old Master’s house."
"Wolf! If you are still hiding something from me, I will tell his wife right now. You know what will happen if she finds out something bad happened to her husband, right!?"
"To hell with you, Oscar!! How dare you threaten me!?" Wolf couldn’t help but curse this persistent Oscar. He couldn’t say anything to him about this incident because the Chief forbade them to talk about this matter. But, it’s really hard to hide anything from these damn hackers.
"Now tell me the truth!!" An annoyed grin appeared from the corner of Oscar’s lips but a moment later his body froze after hearing that Boss Evan had suffered a severe gunshot wound.
"But you don’t need to worry. Earlier Boss is awake, but now he’s sleeping again. I’ll tell him that you already know about this. And Oscar makes sure no one finds out about this incident, especially Lady Boss."
"I will!"
Chapter 395: Spy
Rose, who finished shopping, approached Oscar. She was surprised when she saw Oscar’s face turn tense while talking on the phone—looks like he was in trouble.
Is there a problem at the office?
"What’s the matter, Oscar? Why do you look so tense?"
Oscar almost jumped from his chair when he heard Rose’s voice so close. He immediately hung up the call and looked at her.
"B-Boss... n-nothing. Are you guys done yet?" an awkward smile framing Oscar’s panicked face.
"Yes, we finished. You looked...uneasy. What happened to you?"
"Mmm...don’t blame me, boss. It’s past lunchtime, and now I’m starving. Do you mind if we go to lunch now?" Oscar was worried that Rose overheard his conversation with Wolf. Now, he was trying his best to distract her.
"Alright!" Rose and Keira follow Oscar out of the watch shop.
Oscar walked towards the restaurant while trying to hide his worried expression. He didn’t want Rose to be suspicious of him. Oscar knew that Rose was very good at observing and reading people’s minds. Several times he was caught trying to trick her—he couldn’t hide anything from her.
Silver Phoenix is in a complicated situation—there’s a spy in their organization leaking Evan’s position and causing an ambush in Brooklyn to be inevitable.
There were two possibilities for what happened in the Silver Phoenix; First, someone hacked the Silver Phoenix database. Second, someone became spies in the organization.
For possibility number one, it’s impossible.
Because if anyone tries to break into the system, he will be notified. He firmly believed in the security system he had created for the Silver Phoenix—no one could break through its defenses except for his master. And that couldn’t happen either because his master was Evan.
Then for possibility number two, this is very likely to happen. Someone had betrayed the organization—leaked classified information and caused the Chief to be injured. This crime is unforgivable.
Whoever leaked their Chief location, that person was savage. It seemed he was tired of living, so he dared to betray the organization. Stupid move!
What Oscar learned from Wolf, now, a special team is tracking down the traitor. And, as a Silver Phoenix hacker, he can’t wait to help the tracking team, yet he can’t do anything—his laptop is in the office.
Oscar massaged his temple, feeling both helpless and irritated. Now all he could do was tighten Lady Boss’ security. And hope that her identity is not exposed. If her identity is known by dangerous and unwanted people, then...
Suddenly Oscar’s body shivered at the thought.
Without waiting for instructions, Oscar sent a request to basecamp; asked the other team to support them from a distance—unnoticed by the lady boss—so she wouldn’t be suspicious.
Soon they were seated in the VIP room of a Japanese restaurant. Rose sat beside Keira while Oscar sat across from them.
"Oscar, don’t hide anything from me! I can see in your eyes you’re in trouble. Tell me, what happened?" Rose looked deep into Oscar’s eyes, trying to guess his mood. After a few seconds of waiting, he didn’t say anything... She was sure Oscar was in trouble.
Keira, who had just finished texting Oliver, raised her head and looked at Oscar. She was surprised to see Oscar’s face turn gloomy, "Huh! You look awful, Oscar. Are you sure you’re feeling okay?" Keira asked worriedly.
"Oscar, let’s go to the hospital. I’ll take you there..." Rose started to worry after hearing Keira’s words. She could see Oscar looking in pain, but this man was too scared to tell her.
Oscar, "..." what the hell! Who is sick!?
"B-Boss... I’m fine. But I have a critical problem!!"
"What!!" Rose and Keira screamed in surprise. "What problem!?"
"I have to go to the restroom, you know? That stomach ache..."
"Damn it, Oscar!! Just go to the toilet!!" Rose suddenly felt like hitting this idiot. Her worries were in vain. Gosh!
"Haha... I can hold it, don’t worry, boss. Let’s finish here and head back to the office!" Oscar stood following Rose and Keira out of the restaurant.
Who’s worried? It felt like Rose wanted to scold him.
"Oscar, you can go to the toilet first. I’ll wait for you at the coffee shop near the main entrance..." Rose glared at Oscar, then dragged Keira to buy coffee.
Oscar cursed himself for carelessly giving excuses. Having no other choice, he left Rose and Keira—pretending to go to the toilet.
"That fool Oscar, how could he resist the urge to go to the toilet just because he didn’t want to leave you alone, sis!?"
"Yeah, he’s foolish, similar to Sam!" Rose sighed, remembering Sam still couldn’t return to work as her bodyguard.
"Brother Evan is too overprotective of you, sis." Keira glanced at Rose, who had just finished paying for their coffee. "Aren’t you uncomfortable being under such tight security?"
As a Spencer daughter, Keira doesn’t like bodyguards following her around. That’s why she doesn’t want her identity as part of the Spencer family to be exposed. So that she can be free, like most people—she can go anywhere without worrying about her safety.
"Of course, I’m not comfortable! I’ve protested to Evan several times, but you know him, right!?"
Rose took a deep breath.
"Yeah, I know him so well..." Keira chuckled.
"As for my security concerns, I can’t change his decision. Even though it feels uncomfortable being followed by bodyguards, considering the reason, for my safety, I have no choice but to accept it." Rose smiles at Keira, "Kei, your brother is warm. Although he can be overprotective sometimes, I take it as a sign of his love for me..."
Keira couldn’t help but laugh.
"I still can’t believe a man as cold as him can be so warm to you, sis. Back then, I even predicted that brother Evan might never marry—seeing how much he hated women who approached him..."
"I know. Even my mother-in-law once thought Evan had a sexual orientation problem...."
"Haha, I hear that too. My mother and aunty Doris often say that. So when I found out he was dating you, my whole family and I were utterly shocked. Finally, someone can conquer his frozen heart."
Rose couldn’t help but laugh at Keira’s words.
"Girl! Could you stop talking about me? Let’s talk about you, shall we? How far is your relationship with Oliver!?"
