Chapter 431: Desire To Touch Her

A trace of worry was clear on Keira’s face.

If her father came up, she would be in trouble.

"Oliver, let’s go, quick! Brother Evan always kept his word. My dad might come up here if we don’t go downstairs...." Keira started to panic when she saw Evan had already gone. She walked briskly into the house and dragged Oliver’s hand to follow her.

"Calm down, Keira!" Oliver chuckled, seeing his adorable girlfriend’s panic-looking face. "Even though your father came here and saw us kissing, I’m not worried. I’m ready to talk to him. You don’t need to worry..." he stops and makes her look at him. His sharp eyes turned gentle as his hands ruffled the top of her hair, trying to calm her down.

When she saw the look in his eyes radiate confidence, she hesitated whether to believe him. His calm composure somehow couldn’t make her worries disappear. Deep down, she was still worried about her father’s reaction when he knew about their relationship.

Keira opened her mouth, but no words came out. She just looked at him with a feeling she couldn’t describe in words.

"Do you want me to kiss you?" Oliver teased her when he saw how cute her expression was.

As if pulled out from her thoughts, she immediately shook her head in response, "No!" and quickly shut her mouth tightly. "But, Oliver..." before she could finish her words, his forefinger pressed against her lips.

"No, but. Sooner or later, we have to meet your father and your mother. I’ll talk to them. You need to find time to arrange for us to meet..." he said.

Keira, "..."

Gosh! Is he serious!?

"Alright, let’s go downstairs. We must join the crowds now." He smiled and took her hand. Keira followed Oliver down the stairs with mixed feelings.

She was glad that Oliver wasn’t afraid to meet her parents. Still, she was worried that her father would overreact and forbid them from continuing this relationship.

She couldn’t let that happen. She was going to stop her overbearing father.

It seems she needs help from the one human being her father fears the most, her mother.

She had to get her mother to like Oliver and take their side. Her father would never refuse anything her mother asked him to do.

Keira smiled secretly, realizing she still had hoped to make her relationship officially known to the whole family. Whether they accepted it or not wouldn’t be a problem. She was tired of dating in secret.

*****

When they got downstairs, the living room was empty. They immediately went to the dining room to join the others.

Keira tried to hide her blushing cheeks as she entered the dining room. But fortunately, the rest of her family didn’t really care about them, the latter joining the room. They all seemed busy chatting with the person sitting beside them or opposite. It relieved her.

However, Rose, who knew what had happened to Keira and Oliver, stared at them. She couldn’t help but smile when she saw Keira’s eyes, which were no longer gloomy like they used to be but looked brighter.

Her efforts finally succeeded in making these lovebirds get along well. She would wait for that idiot Oliver to repay her — she started to think about what kind of gift she wanted from him while smiling and looking at her husband.

Suddenly her smile vanished.

Why does he look gloomy?

Rose brought her head closer to Evan, "What happened, husband? Is something bothering you?" she whispered softly.

Evan didn’t reply immediately. Instead, he put down his cutlery and cleared his throat with a glass of water before saying, "I saw them kissing. Wife, I think I need that too!" His deep eyes looked straight into Rose’s eyes with intoxicating charm.

Instantly Rose’s body felt tense.

"Y-You’re not going to do it here, are you!?" she pulled her face away to put some distance between them. But Evan quickly put his hands on her cheeks and gently brought her closer. Before she could react, his lips were pressed against hers.

Rose was utterly taken aback.

Was this man kissing her in the middle of dinner?

Is he mad!?

She could feel many pairs of eyes staring at them. It made her face heat up. Feel embarrassed.

After their lips slowly separated, she glared at him, trying to scold him through her gaze. But Evan smiled lovingly at her as if their kiss was usual, something that didn’t need to be exaggerated. It was just a regular kiss they had at a family dinner.

"Wife, it was just a peck on the lips. Don’t be nervous," he whispered.

He misses her dearly, but they both have injuries, and their sex life is now on hold. When he saw Oliver and Keira making out upstairs, he felt something stir inside him. He wanted to make out with his wife too. And when he saw her lips were so fucking seductive, he couldn’t resist kissing her.

"Gosh... Evan Collins!" She muttered under her breath. "How could you say a deep and lingering kiss was only a peck on the lips!?"

Evan slowly raised his hand to touch her pouting lips with his thumb, "Should I kiss you again?" his eyes burned to look at her lips.

Rose immediately stuffed a slice of meat into her mouth to prevent this man from kissing her again.

"Brat!! Can you wait until we finish dinner?" Old Collins couldn’t help but scold his foolish grandson. How could he make out with his wife at the dinner table when his in-laws were around? Old Collins wanted to smack Evan’s head and yell at his thick-skinned face.

"Hahaha, My friend Collins...." Old Spencer laughs, booming. It makes everyone look at him. "Don’t scold my grandson-in-law. It’s only natural. They are newlyweds...." Old Spencer patted his annoyed friend on the shoulder.

"T-that..." Old Collins was at a loss for words. He just shook his head.

"Father, my niece, they are no longer newlyweds...." Amanda Spencer exclaimed with a low laugh. "You should see the real newlyweds in this place..." she pointed to her second brother, Nicholas Spencer, and his wife, Molly, sitting opposite her.

Chapter 432: Powerful Voice

After everyone paid attention to her, Amanda Spencer smiled and continued her sentence, "Look... My brother Nick is so sweet to his wife. I never imagined someone like my second brother could be that sweet to a woman." Amanda chuckled.

Earlier, Amanda had seen her brother cutting meat for his wife. His eyes never left his wife, and they kissed too. However, all eyes were on Rose and Evan. No one was paying attention to them. Only those who sat across from them could witness everything. Her second brother managed to torment her lonely soul.

Nicholas Spencer, still focused on helping Molly to eat, was surprised to hear Amanda say his name. He turned his gaze toward her and was stunned to find not only was Amanda looking at him, but all eyes were now on him.

What happens? Did he miss something?

Nicholas glanced at his wife. He was surprised to see her blushing.

Molly lowered her head to avoid everyone’s stares. She heard what Amanda said but couldn’t understand why she suddenly said those words.

Previously she had only noticed her son-in-law kiss her daughter. Is it because of that?

She was confused.

Rose, sitting beside her mother, could feel sympathy for her. A few seconds ago, she was in that position. Now, her dear mother caught everyone’s attention. She couldn’t help but laugh inside, grateful that people were turning their attention to her mother. Still, she also felt sorry for her mother. Gosh! This is too complicated.

"That’s enough! Let’s continue eating...." Old Spencer said, glaring at his daughter, Amanda. He motioned for everyone to continue enjoying their dinner.

The waiters who had been delayed serving food were now preoccupied with their primary task again. And everyone went back to enjoying their dinner while chatting with each other.

As for Evan, the man who caused the heat earlier remained calm. His expression was still the same, relaxed and content — ignoring everyone who looked at him. Casually, he continued to put the pieces of meat on his adorable wife’s plate. Feeding his cute wife makes him happy.

"Wife, eat more meat. You need to eat a lot of meat for your bones to heal quickly." His gentle tone made Rose speechless.

How could he still be trying to show off his PDA after he made such a fuss just now? Rose can’t help but glare at him. She would think of a way to punish him later.

After some time...

Dinner on the last day of the year, finally done.

After dinner, everyone spent their time chatting in the living room area. But, around midnight, Old Spencer and Old Collins entered the respective rooms that Nicholas Spencer had prepared. The elders will sleep in this house.

Nicholas and Molly also go back to their room. Jayson and his wife, Emily, go back to their house. And Evan’s parents both left, returning to their respective homes.

While the young people decided to go up to the third floor to enjoy the night in the lounge with complete entertainment facilities. There is a karaoke room and bar with a skillful bartender on that floor. There are also casino tables, billiard tables, and many seating areas to just rest and chat in several corners of the room.

The vast lounge is surrounded by a glass wall overlooking the city. In one corner, a balcony is available for smoking or just enjoying the view of the capital city at night.

Evan, Danny, and another guy are playing casino. Meanwhile, Rose, Keira, and Amanda Spencer decided to sing in the karaoke room.

Keira first sang a song with a fast tone. She also dances while singing. Amanda Spencer couldn’t let Keira dance alone, so she joined her.

As for Rose? She felt amused looking at how happy Keira was now. Whereas before that, the girl was sad and had problems with her relationship with Oliver. In an instant, her mood changed.

"Keira, you dance well..." Rose gave a thumbs up, praising Keira as soon as the song ended.

Keira laughed, "Thank you, sis. Well, I like dancing. How about you, sis? I know you can sing. Let’s choose a song...." Keira gave the mike to Rose. "What do you want to sing?"

Rose reluctantly accepts the mike. It’s been a long time since she sang. It felt like something was troubling her mind and heart when she touched the mike.

"Come on, Rose, I want to hear your voice too. Your mother said that your voice is pretty good..." said Amanda.

"Yes, sis. Don’t worry, we won’t tease you if you hit the wrong tone..." Keira chuckled, seeing her cousin, who seemed reluctant to sing. Her voice must be mediocre. That’s why she’s not confident, right!?

Rose, "..."

She felt like shutting Keira’s mouth. How could she get the false tone?

She has a good voice. Even in her previous life, she had won a national-level singing competition. It’s just that after being reborn, she didn’t like to sing anymore.

"Hahaha, Kei! Please, don’t tease Rose like that. She is a good singer, her mother said that to me." said Amanda.

"So, prove it, Sis! Otherwise, I will say that you are a tone-deaf singer." Keira laughed again.

Rose, "..."

After a while, Rose finally decided to sing. She wanted to prove to Keira that she could sing well and would not miss a note.

Damn it, Keira Spencer!! I will show you how a person who has a golden voice sings.

"Fine!!" Rose finally stood from her seat and accepted the mike from Keira.

"What song, sis?" Keira asked while trying to find a song for Rose.

"Adele."

"Adele?" Keira was surprised. She knew Adele’s songs were all pretty difficult to sing. Does she really know how to sing? "What is the title!?"

"Rolling in the deep!" Rose said calmly.

For a moment, Keira froze. She stared at Rose in surprise. "Are you sure?"

"Yupe!" Rose smiled meaningfully.

"That song is quite challenging, Rose." Amanda was also surprised by Rose’s song choice, but inside she was excited. She couldn’t wait to see her sing.

"I know. Hurry Kei, my throat will dry if I wait too long." This stupid Keira, how dare she challenge her!?

Keira immediately played the song for Rose, and she sat near her aunt, worried seeing Rose holding her mike.

But Keira’s worries immediately vanished when she heard Rose’s powerful voice.

Chapter 433: Talented

But Keira’s worries vanished when she heard Rose’s voice.

------

[There’s a fire starting in my heart.

Reaching a fever pitch, it’s bringing me out of the dark

Finally, I can see you crystal clear

Go ahead and sell me out, and I’ll lay your ship bare]

------

It was only in the first verse Keira’s mouth opened wide to form an O sign, and her eyes almost popped out, hearing Rose’s powerful voice.

------

[See how I’ll leave with every piece of you

Don’t underestimate the things that I will do

There’s a fire starting in my heart

Reaching a fever pitch, and it’s bringing me out of the dark]

[The scars of your love remind me of us

They keep me thinking that we almost had it all

The scars of your love they leave me breathless

I can’t help feeling]

------

Keira looked at Amanda Spencer, "A-Auntie... sister... My sister’s voice is so powerful and beautiful!" She said, her jaw dropped, shocked by what she was hearing now.

-------

[We could’ve had it all (you’re gonna wish you)

(Never had met me)

Rolling in the deep (tears are gonna fall)

(Rolling in the deep)

You had my heart inside (you’re gonna wish you)

Of your hands (never had met me)

And you played it (tears are gonna fall)

To the beat (rolling in the deep)]

------

Not only Keira but Amanda as well. She was shocked beyond words. Her niece is very good at singing. No. She is not only good at singing, but she is very talented. Her singing ability is above average. Her voice can be compared with top singers.

Amanda looked at Rose, who was absorbed in the song she was singing. Rolling in the deep is a difficult song, but she sings effortlessly. Her powerful voice makes the song sound perfect.

She couldn’t take her eyes off Rose for a moment. She was mesmerized as if she saw the source of money in her niece. She is about to recruit her niece and debut her as a singer in her S99 Entertainment Agency.

"A-Auntie...is she really my sister Rose Spencer?" Keira asks Amanda again. But Amanda didn’t care about Keira, as she was still in awe of Rose.

Where had Rose been hiding all this time? Why was she never found by talent scouts?

Amanda felt like scolding the talent scouts in her company. How could they have missed this girl? Wasn’t she always with Noah Stone? They can find Noah, but why do they overlook such a talent from Rose?

Seconds after the song ended, Amanda and Keira were frozen—too shocked.

It wasn’t long before Keira came to her senses. She loudly clapped until she could feel her palm numb.

"Wow!! Perfect!! Sister... your voice is really perfect!! You should be the top singer in this country, sis!!" Keira was confused, praising her because there were no proper words to describe how good her voice was.

Keira’s eyes lit up, looking at Rose as if she saw her new idol.

Rose chuckled, seeing Keira’s eyes beaming at her.

"I know, Kei... singing like this is normal for me. I haven’t even shown my true abilities yet." She playfully teases her stupid cousin.

She put the microphone on the table and sat beside her aunt. Amanda is looking at her like she is staring at her next star. Suddenly Rose felt goosebumps and sensed something wrong in her aunt’s gaze.

"Signed to S99 Entertainment, Rose. Auntie will help you become a top Astington singer like Noah Stone." She couldn’t let this golden child slip out of her hands. She would recruit her before anyone else found her.

Rose almost choked on hearing her aunt. Become a singer? No way!!

"Sis, your voice is amazing. Since when can you sing like this?" Ask Keira again.

"Since childhood. I think..." Rose smiled.

"Sister, I really admire you. Your talent is extraordinary. Not only can you sing, but you have many abilities. You are versatile...." Keira raised her thumb to praise Rose for the umpteenth time.

She feels jealous of her — besides being beautiful, her sister Rose was a genius. She is talented in the business. She is gifted at shooting, and now she is also good at singing.

"Sister Rose, tell me, what can’t you do?" Keira asked again, trying to find Rose’s flaws so she would know that her cousin wasn’t a goddess. She was just an ordinary human with flaws, like her.

"She can’t cook!" Suddenly Evan appeared in the karaoke room smiling at his wife, who was looking at him with surprised-looking eyes. He walked in and sat beside her. "You’re still good at singing, my love...." Evan praised her and rubbed her back lovingly.

"Yeah... Evan’s right. My weakness is I can’t cook at all!" Rose couldn’t help but laugh.

"I knew it!! You must be an ordinary human. Geez, earlier, I thought you were a goddess with no flaws. You are too perfect, sis. Well, now I know you have flaws." Keira rubs her chest, feeling happy.

Rose, "..."

"How could you think of me as a goddess?"

"Hahaha, Well, now I have something to be proud of in front of you, Sis. I’m pretty good at cooking." Keira patted her chest slowly, trying to brag to Rose.

"Evan, let your wife sing. She can sign with my agency!" Amanda then took Rose’s hand, trying to convince her. "Niece, be a singer. You’re so talented. It’s a shame if your talent is wasted..."

"No! She will never enter the entertainment industry." Evan’s firm gaze made Amanda Spencer speechless, "My wife doesn’t like being a singer. You can ask her if you do not believe me."

Rose felt a little overwhelmed hearing their conversation.

She suddenly remembered her past life, only because she pursued becoming a singer and hanging out with Dustin. Her life was ruined, and she suffered until she died in her early thirties.

Now given a chance to be reborn, she never wanted to take that path, to become a singer.

From the beginning, she immediately chose another path, becoming an entrepreneur. Utilizing the knowledge she learned at the economics faculty majoring in business.

Now that she’s achieved her plans to build her own company, it never crossed her mind to return to being a singer. Never!

Chapter 434: Do They Know Each Other?

Rose still hates being a singer, even though her voice is good.

After her rebirth, this was her first time singing again in front of others. Usually, she just hummed in the bathroom while taking a bath — she never even sang in front of her husband.

"My god, Evan Collins!" Amanda glared at him before continuing, "Can’t you see I’m talking to my niece? Please, don’t interfere!" She said and looked at Rose.

Evan shook his head, feeling amused with Aunty Amanda’s determination. How could she ignore the facts he gave!?

His wife will never become a singer. He wouldn’t allow her.

"My beautiful niece, you should try to enter the music industry. You have a great opportunity to succeed in this field. You can duet with your brother, Noah Stone. If you guys release a single, I guarantee it will explode in the market." Amanda said. Her eyes were shining as if she was looking at a treasure in front of her.

Rose could only smile at her aunt. Now, she understood why all her family said that her aunt Amanda was very talented in the business. She could actually see her as an opportunity to make money.

She didn’t know whether to be proud, having been scouted by her aunt.

"No, thanks, auntie. What Evan said is true. I don’t like being a singer. In college, I tried to pursue being a singer, but then I felt this was not right for me. So, since then, I decided not to continue this career and focus on the business field instead."

Amanda patted Rose’s hand gently, "Rose, don’t be too quick to decide. You should think about it first..." she still didn’t give up.

"Aunt Amanda, I think Uncle Nicholas and Grandpa would definitely stop sister Rose from being a singer..." cried Keira. "Have you forgotten that our family was prohibited from pursuing that field?" she continued.

Keira knows this rule so well because she once wanted to be an actress, but her father firmly refused. In fact, when she decided to become a fashion designer, her father forbade her to. She managed to convince her father only because of her mother’s help and finally was allowed to pursue this field.

As if someone was slapping her head, Amanda could think clearly. What Keira said is true. Her family will never allow Rose to enter the entertainment industry.

Suddenly she felt heartbroken because she had to give up her gold mine just like that. She immediately gave up her idea.

"Kei, let’s sing again!!" Amanda decided to cheer up her mood. She stood up from her chair, leaving Rose and Evan to start showing off their PDA, much to Amanda’s grief - her lonely soul was tired of seeing them making out.

"Hubby, why did you come here?" Rose was confused. Why had Evan suddenly joined her in the karaoke room!?

"I forgot..." Evan suddenly remembered his purpose. "Sean is coming. He’s looking for you." He said while playing with her hair.

Rose was happy to hear that. "Brother Sean has come!? Where is he?" She was very excited. She wanted to ask him about the warehouse incident.

"Let’s go see him." Evan stood up from his chair.

Rose followed Evan out of the karaoke room and got to the lounge area. But before she approached Sean, her eyes fell on the woman sitting beside Sean.

Suddenly Rose’s steps stopped abruptly.

"Why? Why did she come here?" Rose muttered to herself, surprised to see Stella, her best friend sitting next to Sean.

"Who?" Evan also stopped in his tracks and looked at Rose.

"The woman beside Sean."

"You know her?"

"Yes, I know her. She is my best friend, Stella."

Rose was still surprised to see Stella come to her house. Suddenly, countless questions filled her mind; How did Sean know Stella? Since when did the two of them meet?

Seeing how close Stella and Sean were now, she could tell they got along well and had known each other for a long time.

Are they dating? Impossible. Still clear in Rose’s mind, Stella already had a boyfriend. She met the man a few days ago.

Gosh! Stella two-timing Sean and her boyfriend?

"Your best friend?" Evan asks in surprise. "Your best friend who suddenly disappeared?"

Rose looked at Evan, "Hmm, she is. Hubby, do you know Sean’s relationship with Stella?"

"I don’t know. Let’s meet them, you can ask Sean directly..." Evan held her hand, and they walked over to join Sean and the others.

Before Rose could greet Stella and Sean, Oliver saw her first. In a loud voice, he said, "Rose! You won’t believe who is here, Stella!! You still remember her, right?"

Rose ignored Oliver. She walked over to Stella and sat between Stella and Sean.

"Stella, nice to see you again. Wow! I can’t believe we can meet again so soon. I thought you had left the country."

Oliver was surprised to learn that Rose and Stella had met.

Not only was Oliver shocked, but Sean was too. He still couldn’t believe that Rose knew Stella.

While everyone around her looked surprised, so did Stella. Her surprise is not over meeting Oliver Hester at this place; now Rose also appeared.

What’s going on here? How did the three of them meet at the Spencer residence?

Before Stella could respond to Rose, guilt suddenly filled her heart — when they met the last time, she had lied to Rose.

Now, what reason could she give her? Rose definitely won’t believe her anymore, right!?

Stella lowered her head, unable to meet Rose’s eyes. Then she saw Rose’s injured hand. She suddenly felt worried, "Rose... Are you hurt?"

"Yes!" Rose smiled faintly, "I was hurt after meeting you that afternoon. But I’m fine now. Currently recovering..." she smiled to reassure her.

"Stella, I’m so happy to see you here. You came with my cousin, Sean? Do you guys know each other? Since when?" Suddenly all the questions escaped from her lips. She was too curious.

Stella’s face turned grim at Rose’s question.

Chapter 435: Misunderstanding (1)

Oliver Hester was surprised to learn Rose and Stella had met, "Girls, have you met? When?" He suddenly feels betrayed. How dare they set a meeting without letting him know?

Rose and Stella looked at Oliver at the same time. They smiled when they saw Oliver looking annoyed at them.

"Well, it wasn’t prearranged. We met by chance. Stella didn’t have much time, she had to go somewhere, so I couldn’t call you when we met." Rose explained, but then she felt something was not right.

She slowly shifted her gaze, looking at Sean with mixed feelings.

So, is it true Sean is dating Stella!? Doesn’t Stella already have a boyfriend?

Rose clearly remembers that she saw Stella with a handsome young man. She believes the man is Stella’s boyfriend.

"Yes, Oliver. We met by chance." Stella said with a guilty expression looking at Oliver. Then, her eyes caught on Rose’s wedding ring. She closed her head at Rose, "Are you married?" She whispered.

"Yes. That’s my husband. His name is Evan Collins." She smiled at Stella before turning her gaze to Evan, who sat opposite them.

"Evan, this is Stella, my best friend."

After Evan and Stella greeted each other. Rose’s curiosity returned. She wants to know about Stella’s relationship with Sean. "Stella, do you mind if I ask you something personal?"

"Yeah, I don’t mind...."

"Are you dating Sean Spencer? He’s my cousin." Rose’s eyes met hers, trying to read her reaction. She obviously saw that Stella was shocked at her question. She’s actually dating Sean!? What the hell!?

"Huh!? Sean is your cousin?" Stella was shocked. She couldn’t explain anything to Rose, not even a simple explanation. She was totally perplexed.

Rose nodded. There was a lot to explain to Stella about herself now. But before that, she had to talk to Sean first. She should tell him about Stella.

She looked at Sean, who was now looking at her with a frown, "Brother, let’s talk outside. I have something to ask you!" She excused herself to Evan and walked out onto the balcony. Sean didn’t say anything. He just nodded and followed Rose.

Sean was tall, and Rose was as high as his shoulders. She had to look up to see his face. For a moment, they just stared at each other without a word.

"Let’s sit...."

"No! Let’s stand here."

Sean ruffled her hair. He playfully laughed when he caught her glaring at him.

"Trust me. If we talk standing up, your neck will hurt when we’re done. Girl, you’re too short!" He said, then walked over to a lawn chair in the corner.

"Sean Spencer, how dare you!?" Although annoyed at Sean’s teasing, she follows him to the seating area. After she settled into her seat, she was surprised to find a heater nearby — she sat beside Sean.

"How do you know Stella?" Rose asked not to give Sean a chance to ask her.

"You’re dating Stella, right!?" She asked again after seeing Sean looking absentmindedly at her. "Oh my god! Are you guys serious?"

Sean’s face darkened.

"Rose, listen, I...." Before he finished his sentence, Rose said,

"Brother, you should not date her. Stella already has a boyfriend!!" Rose met his eyes that looked surprised. She is waiting. Waiting for this stupid brother to wake up from his delusion — dating someone else’s girlfriend. Gosh!

"What? Stella has a boyfriend?" Sean was shocked.

"See! I already guessed. You must not know about it." She chuckled.

Rose continued her words after seeing Sean return to his usual expression, "Big Brother, Stella is my best friend. I can’t support you if you want to date her. This is impolite. You can’t snatch Stella from her boyfriend."

She felt sorry for Sean. But she also didn’t want Sean to snatch another person’s girlfriend.

As someone who had seen Stella’s boyfriend, Rose knew that her brother would be hard to compete with the man—their handsomeness was comparable. She doubted that Stella would change her heart. That would be a different story if Stella chose Sean because of his last name.

"When did you see Stella’s boyfriend?" Sean asked calmly.

Rose tells how she met Stella at the coffee shop before Keira was kidnapped.

Sean was surprised to hear Rose’s story.

Now he understood why Stella and Max failed their undercover mission at that time. She accidentally ran into Rose, who knew her real identity when she was in disguise. And if someone discovered her true identity, it would be dangerous for her and her friends’ safety.

Sean is now conflicted about whether or not he should clarify Stella’s identity to Rose.

As members of the special force, Black Eagle, their identity is confidential. They couldn’t tell anyone about their unit. Not even to their family and loved ones. If they did that, they would get military punishment.

But, unlike him, his identity was exposed the first time he met Rose.

His cousin has an almost eidetic memory. She immediately recognized the ’Black Eagle.’ This was when they accidentally met at Vale City.

He couldn’t avoid it because that brat Evan Collins betrayed him. He revealed his units to Rose. Now, he couldn’t hide anything from her cousin; more than a few times, this girl encountered his mission, like the last case, the drug syndicate.

Should he open up to Rose about Stella’s identity? He wouldn’t be in trouble, would he?

Sean was deep in thought, but then he almost choked on Rose’s words.

"Big Brother, I think it would be very tough for you to win Stella’s heart. Because her handsome boyfriend is not much different from you. And I think they are deeply in love, so you better leave Stella and find someone else." Rose said while patting Sean’s shoulder, trying to cheer him up.

Sean was utterly speechless. How could she think he would date his subordinates?

"Brother, I’m sure many beautiful girls will be willing to stand in line to be your girlfriend. Ah, I heard from Evan that Carla Miller likes you too. Why..."

Rose suddenly shut her mouth when she saw Sean’s face turn grim. Is he angry?
