Ch. 481..485: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 481-485
Chapter 481: Mafia Leader
Later, Rose saw Evan chatting with several men she had never seen before. From how they look, most of them are foreigners. She was suspicious of the identity of these people. They looked like the man she had met in Italy, Lucas Allen.
Before Rose wanted to ask Oscar about those people, Rose stopped when she saw Lucas Allen appear from downstairs.
Of course! All of them are Evan’s subordinates. That’s why he invited them to this private party.
But now, something bothered her mind. She had always suspected this, but she didn’t have the chance to ask Evan. And seeing the people who had come to this party made her suspicions even stronger.
Are they just Evan’s people who help him to take care of his business overseas, or are they like Sam, Gavin, and Oscar?
In her eyes, Sam, Gavin, and Oscar were no ordinary assistants. They are experts in their respective fields.
Although they can take care of business, they also have strong abilities. Sam is a martial arts expert, and Oscar is a field hacker. While Gavin can do business stuff and is okay with shooting and martial arts.
And the last she knew was Lucas Allen. Even though she had never heard of the man’s capacities, one thing she could feel, his bodyguarding aura was intense. This is not a coincidence. Evan is surrounded by experts.
Are the foreigners Evan talking to the Directors of Dream Inc from around the world?
For a moment, Rose tried to find an answer out of curiosity, but then, she doubted it. Because she could see Marvin Sanders wasn’t talking to them. Instead, he was busy talking to Sam and Gavin in another corner.
Also, her brother, Sean, seemed to know all the foreigners Evan sat with. How could it be?
Rose knows active military members cannot leave the country unless they are on duty. However, why did Sean seem to know them all? It was clear that they had known each other for a long time.
"Oscar, do you know those people?" Rose glanced at Evan and then looked at Oscar.
"Which one!?"
"The people my husband talked to."
Oscar didn’t answer right away. He tried to think not to give out too much information. He knew this woman had a talent for observing others — She could expose something in one glance.
"Oh, they work for Boss Evan in several countries. They happen to be around the country, so they were asked to come to this celebration party."
Rose didn’t say a word. She just stared at Evan in silence. And at the same time, Evan looked at her. He smiled and asked her to join him.
She immediately joins Evan and meets all of his friends.
Yes, Evan introduced them all as his close friends. It’s kinda weird. Because before, Oscar had told her they were all working for Evan. And their job is to take care of Evan’s business in other countries.
Someone is hiding something! But who? Who is telling the truth!?
Rose could only secretly smile as she greeted them all.
Now, she was increasingly convinced by her suspicions; Evan was involved in some organization. Obviously, all people at this table weren’t businessmen. They looked more like mafia leaders or something powerful than mere business people.
After a brief greeting, Rose sat down next to Evan. She didn’t say a word, just listening to their casual conversation about sports and cars. She felt bored hearing it.
She looked around to find someone she wanted to talk to. And at the same time, she saw the female singer stop singing.
Rose’s gaze follows as the singer walks to the sofa not far from where she sat.
"Interesting!" Rose quietly muttered when she saw the singer sitting beside Marvin Sanders. They spoke as if they had known each other for too long. And at the same time, Gavin and Sam left Marvin as if to make room for them.
"Is that singer Marvin’s girlfriend?" She quietly said to herself, but Evan, who now leaned near her, could hear it.
"Yes, she is Marvin’s girlfriend."
Rose was surprised to hear Evan’s voice near her ear. She immediately looked back and widened in surprise when her face met Evan’s long nose. They almost kiss. She quickly moved her head away before this man kissed her in front of these people.
Evan was amused looking at how red his wife’s face was. He continued his words, "She is a famous singer. Don’t you know her?" He grabbed her hand and placed it on his lap.
"I don’t really know celebrities. But, is the singer really famous?" She tried to look at her again, but the singer sat with her back facing her. She could only see her black hair.
"She is Kimberly West. She is quite famous, just like Noah Stone." Evan answered casually.
"Kimberly West!? I guess I’ve heard that name before. However, I don’t really remember her face...." She chuckled. No wonder her voice is so powerful and sounds so beautiful.
"So many celebrities out there, my brain leaves little room for celebrity news...." She continues. In her two lives, she did not pay attention to celebrities. She only knows a few celebrities, one of which is Noah Stone. And more recently, Carla Miller and Willard Harper.
"Hahaha, no problem. You don’t need to know about people like that. It’s useless."
Rose smiled and stole another glance to look at Marvin and Kimberly. Before she asks, "Does she come to your events often?" Her voice was low, but the intonation was sharp.
She felt slightly jealous because after dating Evan, it was only now that she could hang out with almost all of his friends.
"No. It’s the first time Kimberly has come here and sung." Evan felt his little wife was jealous. "Well, this was Aidan’s idea. He thought the party would be much merrier if there were singers. So, I couldn’t refuse. After all, that woman is Marvin’s girlfriend."
"Oo... I see." Rose smiled and leaned her head to Evan’s shoulder. "I’m impressed with Marvin. He can maintain a relationship with a famous singer without the media finding out...."
Chapter 482: Teach Me
"I’m impressed with Marvin. He can maintain a relationship with a famous singer without the media finding out..." Rose said.
Evan didn’t say a word but just nodded and continued chatting about other topics. He also avoids talking about that woman because he doesn’t know her. He only heard Marvin say her name often; this was the first day he saw her.
Later, Evan kept talking to his friend, and Rose decided to go on a hunt for food she liked. She felt hungry.
"Lady Boss, do you want to eat something?" Oscar suddenly stood beside Rose.
She glanced at him and nodded. They walked to the first buffet table. She was surprised to see her favorite fresh fruit salad, but she didn’t want to eat it now. She needs sweet food.
"You can wait there, Boss. You can tell me what you want to eat, and I’ll get it for you later..." Another voice could be heard from the other side. Rose chuckled when she saw the big guy Sam beside her, standing tall.
"Yes, Boss! You better wait there. Let’s take care of the food you want to eat. Oh, I notice there’s a steak offer there. If I remember correctly, Steak is your favorite food, too, right?" Oscar said.
Rose was reluctant because she had eaten a lot. Now, she just wanted to find some dessert. But Oscar said there was a ’steak.’ Somehow, her eyes lit up.
Suddenly she was tempted to eat more. She nodded at Oscar, agreeing to his idea. Before telling him, she just wanted to eat a little. The man had already disappeared.
Gosh! That man was very efficient to be her assistant. Unfortunately, tomorrow he will return to Europe.
"Sam, I want some dessert." Rose then glanced at him.
"Over there, boss..." Sam said and led the way.
Rose’s eyes lit up as she finally found what she was looking for. Chocolate cake and fruitcake are her favorites. She needs sweets to lift her mood.
Soon the three of them sat in the seating area at the corner, with food filling the coffee table in front of them.
"Do you think I’m a pig? How can I finish all of this?" Rose winced. She had only asked them to bring dessert and Steak. But now, almost all the dishes at the party were in front of her. It filled the table until there was no more room for her glass of juice.
She glared at the two men across from her. Sam and Oscar were stunned. They only realized it after Rose said so.
"Hahaha, Boss, don’t worry. If you don’t eat... this big guy, Sam, will finish it all." Oscar said as he patted Sam on the shoulder.
Then Oscar turned his gaze at Sam, wanting to signal him to nod, and agree with what he said. But too bad, Sam sent a deadly glare. He suddenly felt shivers.
Oscar retracted his gaze and started stuffing a piece of meat into his mouth. "Boss, I’ll eat, I’ll finish it all for you... don’t worry. Let’s eat. This Steak is his brother Aidan’s specialty. It’s very tender and delicious...." He sent another smile at Rose and ate his Steak again. While he was cursing the big man beside him.
"Fuck you, Sam!! If only I could match you in martial arts, I would never be intimidated by you, mate!!" Oscar could only vent his frustration at Sam in his heart while trying to enjoy the food.
Oscar tried to enjoy Aidan’s signature steak before he flew to Europe tomorrow. He didn’t know when he would return to this country again. He will miss many things; the food, his friends at base camp, his grumpy Big Boss, and his kind and graceful lady boss.
Even though Oscar met Rose not long ago, he was already close to her as her bodyguard and assistant when he replaced Sam temporarily. He had already formed a family bond with her. He likes her as his sister and Boss at the same time. She was kind and never treated them like mere employees, but she treated them as friends and family, as her husband usually did to all of them.
While Oscar was deep in thought, Rose started eating too.
Meanwhile Sam, he also followed them and started eating.
The three of them ate while chatting about various things, including about Marvin Sanders’ girlfriend. It doesn’t feel like the food on the table is almost finished.
But then, something came to Rose’s mind. She stared at Oscar sharply, "Oscar... teach me!" She decides to study and becomes a hacker, like Oliver.
If Oscar can teach Oliver, he should be able to teach her, too, right!? No need to be as good as Oliver. At least she knew the basics. So she doesn’t have to bother asking Oliver if she needs anything, like hacking CCTV or snooping on other people’s phones.
Rose chuckled, feeling excited thinking about those things. She only uses her laptop to work and read the news during this time. It never once crossed her mind to study computers more deeply. But recently, after encountering so many strange things, she realized that hacking skills were needed. Because it would make her life easier — She also promised to never use her talent to do evil things.
She was confident with her intelligence. Moreover, her memory is very sharp. She only needs to read once. She could remember what she read — her mind functions like a scan.
And she heard that as long as she is good at math, she can learn coding, computer language, and all things related to computers more easily.
Oscar’s hand stopped midair before shoving another piece of meat into his mouth. He put it on the plate and looked at Rose seriously.
"Teaching? Teaching what?" He asked.
"Teach me to be a hacker. Just like you taught Oliver..." she said calmly. She can do this. She knows she is brighter than Oliver. So learning to be a hacker is not that difficult for her.
Chapter 483: Very Talented
"Teach me to be a hacker. Just like you taught Oliver..." Rose said calmly.
A look of surprise flashed across Oscar’s eyes, but in the end, he smiled wryly.
"Why are you asking me that? You better ask your husband." He wanted to say that but seeing her eyes beaming as she had just found a treasure chest left him speechless.
Oscar then turned his gaze to Sam for help freeing him from this awkward situation. But unfortunately, Sam’s condition does not seem promising. He is even worse — Sam coughed badly until his face turned red.
They both stared at each other for a few moments and didn’t utter a single word.
Oscar knew Sam must be in shock. Just like an hour ago, when he discovered Rose knew about his secret, he was in this state.
Sam brought his head closer to Oscar and whispered, "He knows you’re a hacker?"
"Yes! And now, she asked me to be her teacher. Can you believe that!? Man, please slap me on the head! I want to make sure this is not a dream..." Oscar said in a low tone, but Rose sitting opposite him could hear him clearly.
Rose rolled her eyes in amusement at the sight of these two dumb men. And, before Sam could slap Oscar, she said, "Oscar, you won’t teach me!? Don’t you think I’m not as smart as Oliver?"
Oscar swallowed hard.
"Fine! I’ll ask my husband to assign you as a teacher then. Maybe if he asks you nicely, you’ll be willing to teach me..." Rose continued with an amused grin crossed her lips.
Damn, this lady boss is really slick. It’s not easy to refuse her. And, it would be troublesome if Boss Evan discovered he had rejected his wife from becoming his disciple.
Suddenly Oscar’s expression brightened, and he laughed joyfully before saying in a pleased tone, "No, no, I’m not rejecting you. How can I do that? Just now, I was too shocked. I didn’t expect to get this blessing from God, to become Rose Spencer’s teacher..."
Rose narrowed her eyes at Oscar, "Don’t feel forced. If you don’t want to teach me, it’s fine..."
"Boss, I’m ready. I want to be your teacher..." Oscar quickly replied before his lady boss twisted his words. "When are you ready? We can start anytime..."
"My lord!! Oscar, is it true that you accepted me as your disciple?" Rose’s voice sounded happy.
"Absolutely!!" Oscar was relieved to see her happy face. He casually leaned against the back of the sofa while keeping a smile on his face.
"Oscar, teach me now! Please tell me what to do. I will follow your assignment..." Rose sat up straight, facing Oscar like she was having a meeting with her professor on her campus.
"Alright, I will tell you the basics..."
While Oscar and Rose were exchanging words, Sam fell silent, looking straight at his lady boss.
He was in deep thought. His lady boss is really something. Why does she want to learn everything? Are, shooting skills and martial arts not enough for her? Now, she wants to learn to be a hacker too.
Seeing how excited she is, suddenly, Sam worries about his future. He might lose his job if his lady boss becomes an expert in all fields.
He wasn’t taking care of her; instead, she was taking care of him.
Sam couldn’t imagine the girl he had guarded 7 months ago had turned into a different person. The weak woman whose even physical training had worn her out now has excellent physical strength and martial art skills. She also has shooting abilities, which have increased rapidly in the last few months. Her determination to learn is unquestionable.
Undoubtedly, Spencer’s blood flowing in her body showed that she had the talent to be a soldier. If she had met her family first, she might have become an exceptional soldier like Sean Spencer.
At first glance, Sam could see that his Lady Boss was the female version of Sean Spencer. They were both talented, and their observations of others were frightening.
"Lady Boss! Don’t change too fast. I might lose my job to look after you..." Sam muttered to himself while shaking his head.
"What are they talking about?" Ask Sean. He sat beside Sam as his eyes fell on Rose and Oscar. He frowned, looking at them — they looked serious until they didn’t notice he joined them.
Sam was surprised to see Sean. He smiled at him and then turned his gaze at Rose and Oscar. For a moment, he just stared at them.
He was amused at how determined his Lady Boss was, hearing Oscar.
"Lady Boss wants to learn from Oscar!?
"Learn what?" Sean looked at Sam, confused.
"Hacking. I guess! Well, they’ve been talking about something I can’t remember." Sam answered nonchalantly. He doubted Lady’s boss would remember even if she recorded everything Oscar said.
He knows basic hacking. He also learns from Oscar, but in the end, he stops learning. Because his brain cannot accommodate many things that he should learn.
"Hacking?" Sean was shocked. "Wait, Sam, did Rose know about Oscar’s identity? How could she know? Did Evan tell him or Oscar himself?"
"I’m not really sure. I also just found out Miss Rose knows Oscar’s identity. I think Oscar told her."
Sean was speechless. How could Oscar tell that secret to Rose!? It could put Rose and the organization at risk. Worried that someone will use Rose to get this classified information.
Rose was immersed in doing something on her phone. Her eyes were focused, and her hands were moving quickly.
After a while...
"Oscar, I’m done!" Rose then showed her cell phone to Oscar. Her eyes lit up, waiting for Oscar’s reaction.
"WHAT!? You, you finished it already?" Oscar looked at Rose in horror.
This girl is a monster!
How could she finish the game he created for coding practice this fast!?
Even though he hasn’t taught her yet. He was giving her an example of how to use it. But she finished it 10 minutes later. Even Oliver had to spend 2 hours to finish the game.
"This is easy, Oscar! Can you give me a more challenging task!?" She said excitedly, can’t wait to learn something more challenging.
Oscar swallowed hard.
It’s a basic coding game. But how could she master this beginner level so fast?
By now, Oscar had grown suspicious that Evan had been tutoring her. That’s why she quickly finished the game. There was no way she could do this fast unless she was gifted.
"I do have a challenging game for you to play. But you still have to master the game I gave you earlier. Once you are done, I will send you another game to practice. Take it, easy boss, don’t rush. You need time to learn this."
Oscar said it casually as if her accomplishment of clearing the beginner level was easy. He didn’t want to make her take what she learned lightly.
"Didn’t I already finish it?" She frowned.
"Yes, that’s right, you’ve done it! But did you know there are three levels in that game?"
"Really!?" Rose immediately looked at the application on her cell phone and was stunned by what she saw.
"There are beginner, medium, and expert levels. You just finished beginner level. It would help if you tried to complete the Medium and Expert levels too. I challenge you to finish in 3 minutes each level. If you succeed, I’ll send you another coding game for you to learn."
Oscar believed his lady boss wouldn’t bother him until tomorrow because the Expert level was too difficult. And the 3-minute challenge will keep her busy, maybe until next week.
"Geez!! No wonder I finished it quickly." Rose laughed as she tried to play it again. This time she tried it at a medium level.
Rose was so immersed in the game that she didn’t notice her surroundings.
And, not long after...
Someone takes her cell phone. She was shocked.
"Let’s go home. It’s getting late." Evan stood in front of her. Only then did she realize that the party was over. There were only a few people in that place.
She was shocked.
How could she not notice her surroundings and only pay attention to her cell phone?
Gosh! The coding Game is totally addictive. She felt challenged to finish it. But, it seemed she had to stop now. And play later if she has time.
After looking around, Rose started to remember something.
"Where’s Brother Sean?" She looked around to find him, but Sean was nowhere to be seen.
"Sean? He left. Why?"
"I need to tell him something."
Evan was confused hearing her words, "Wife, Sean been sitting here with you all this time. Didn’t you talk to him?"
Earlier, Evan was curious to see her sitting on the couch staring at her cell phone. He thought she was watching something on YouTube or reading the news, but she was playing a game. What kind of game makes her ignore her surroundings?
Chapter 484: Meeting Jayson Spencer
Earlier, Evan was curious to see her sitting on the couch staring at her cell phone. He thought she was watching something on YouTube or reading the news, but she was playing a game.
What kind of game makes her ignore her surroundings?
It was the first time Evan saw her like this, playing something on her cell phone. It makes him curious.
Rose really blamed herself, drowning in her assignment from Oscar. Now she has lost her chance to talk to Sean — she doesn’t know when she will meet him again.
"No. I didn’t talk to Sean that much..." She said,
While playing ’game coding,’ she only knew Oscar was sitting with her. She had even forgotten that the big guy Sam was with them.
"What game are you playing?"
"I don’t know the game’s name. Oscar gave it to me, and he challenged me to finish the game..." Rose said while looking around. She wanted to find Oscar.
Where is he? Has he gone home too?
"Can I see?" Evan Ask.
Just before Rose wanted to answer, Aidan came up to them. Evan took the opportunity to say goodbye.
"Brother, drive carefully..."
"Don’t worry. Sam will drive..." Evan waved his hand and headed outside, holding Rose’s hand.
Once they were both in the car, Evan asked her again about the game. He was curious.
Rose gave her cell phone to Evan. It was difficult for her to explain since the game didn’t have a name. After all, it’s not a game like the mobile games she knows. But all that appeared on her cell phone screen were numbers and symbols that she had to match.
To others, the game might appear utterly confusing. But for her, she just watched Oscar play it, she could solve the puzzle.
It’s just that when she tried at the medium level, her fingers couldn’t keep up with the speed of the numbers that appeared on her cell phone screen. That’s why she always failed to reach the 3-minute challenge. She was stuck for 15 minutes.
Rose believed her hand speed would improve if she practiced. She was really tempted to finish the task from Oscar.
Evan was shocked when he saw the game on her cell phone. Instantly his mind filled with all kinds of questions. Why did Oscar give Rose this game?!
"Wife, you say Oscar gave you this game?"
"Hmm..." Rose couldn’t finish her words.
Did she make a mistake? Why did Evan’s face darken!? Like he’s mad!?
"May I know why he suddenly gave you this game!?" Evan asked calmly, but his tone was cold. That made Rose and Sam feel the temperature inside the car suddenly drop to its lowest point.
Is it because Oscar’s identity as a hacker cannot be known by others, including her? That’s why Evan is mad!?
Suddenly she felt guilty. The reason is that she exposed Oscar’s identity and forced him to teach her.
"H-Hubby... I asked Oscar about games, and he gave me this game." Rose felt guilty for lying to him.
Evan slowly caressed her blushing cheeks. He smiled gently at her, "I will not be mad at you. But I was hoping you could tell me the truth. Can you do that!?"
Rose immediately nodded, and she told him everything — how she found out Oscar’s identity and finally asked him to teach her how to hack.
Evan could only laugh bitterly in his heart after hearing her explanation. He feels proud of her intelligence. She didn’t need anyone else to tell her, but she could immediately guess Oscar’s identity.
He didn’t know whether to be proud or sad about this.
****
A few days later, on the weekend.
Rose and Evan headed to a private restaurant. The restaurant is usually visited by certain people — the old money in this country. Well, not only old money, but they must be influential in the politics and business field.
In fact, Evan rarely visited the restaurant because he could only go there when his father or grandfather invited him. As for Rose, this is her first time visiting this top culinary place.
The place was near the city hall and surrounded by a large wooden park. Reportedly, state guests are often invited to eat here by the President.
And today, they’re meeting up with their uncle, Jayson Spencer, for lunch in this pricey restaurant.
After Evan parked the vehicle, they didn’t get out right away. Rose needed to call Oliver first to make sure he was ready.
She was worried that Oliver would run away because he was too nervous to face her uncle.
"Where are you?" Rose asked when Oliver picked up the phone.
"My car is next to yours." He rolled down the car window and waved to Rose with a blooming smile framing his calm-looking face.
Rose was surprised to see Oliver had arrived first.
"You look calm, Mr. Hester." Rose chuckled. "Are you ready to meet your future father-in-law!?"
"I’ll take that as a compliment, Rose!" Oliver said while laughing.
Even though he looked calm now, he could feel a storm wreaking havoc in his heart and stomach. This feeling is pretty unusual to him.
Since arriving at this place, many thoughts had crossed his mind. Most notably, Jayson Spencer disapproves of his relationship with his daughter.
"Okay! You wait here. I’ll go see my uncle first and explain to him. I’ll call you after that..." Rose explained their plan. Oliver could only nod in agreement and hope for the best.
Oliver was touched that Rose and Evan wanted to help him to meet someone as significant as Jayson Spencer. Not just anyone can get his time, and Oliver is pretty sure that he is just a nobody in Jayson Spencer’s eyes. Mainly when it is about someone who probably cherishes the most, his daughter Keira.
Soon...
Rose and Evan entered the VIP room where Jayson Spencer was.
"Oh, you guys finally came." Jayson Spencer stood up and greeted Rose and Evan. "Come in! Uncle ordered food for you. So, you can eat it right away," he chirped.
"Uncle, thank you for meeting us," Rose calmly said while trying to read her uncle’s mood.
After making sure her uncle was in a good mood, she didn’t linger and said her goal was to meet him. In the middle of explaining it, Evan helped her.
But it seems their plan is on the edge of failure.
Rose felt chills as she watched her uncle’s expression slowly change — changing from a gentle smile to great shock and then realization, followed by a look of anger.
Damn it!!
Did they fail to convince him?
Even after they told him about Oliver’s background as a hacker, the look on her uncle’s face remained the same. It was like there was a dark cloud hanging right over his head.
"Oliver, I’m sorry!!! Looks like our plan failed!!" Rose grumbled in her heart. Feel sorry for her best friends.
She didn’t want to hear what Evan and her uncle were talking about anymore. She diverted her mind by eating the delicious dish on the table.
Maybe swallowing whatever is in front of her can shift her feeling guilty because she failed to convince her uncle to meet Oliver.
This is her most enormous failure, and it is shameful. Now, she felt sorry for Oliver because she had promised him that this method would work. But this turned out to be a total failure.
Rose starts to eat. But, later she was taken aback when her first bite, melting in her mouth, tantalized her appetite. Instantly her mind became clear like spring had come early in this place.
This food! It was so delicious! It’s heavenly food. No wonder this restaurant is only exclusive to state officials and the rich people of this country.
Even though her mission failed but slowly her mood rose again after enjoying the food.
"Rose... Wife... Did you hear?"
Vaguely Rose heard her name being called by Evan.
Slowly she lifted her head and saw Evan now looking at her. "Did you hear what uncle said earlier?" He asked.
"Huh!? Hear what? Sorry, I didn’t hear..." She felt embarrassed to be caught in a daze while eating.
"Uncle wants you to contact Oliver. He needs to talk to him first." Evan’s words made Rose’s eyes widen in shock.
She looked at her uncle, "Uncle, do you want to meet Oliver?"
"I have no choice. If you and Evan guarantee he’s a good person and talented, why should I hesitate?" Jayson Spencer said.
"T-Thank you, uncle. I’ll call him now. Uncle, can we continue eating before you talk to him?" Rose said in a pleading voice. She craves its food, and it would be a shame if she had to leave without finishing her food, right!?
"Sure! You can order more." Jayson laughed.
"No need, uncle. This is enough." Rose shyly said. She immediately called Oliver to come inside to join them.
Rose was in a good mood, and her mission had been completed. Oliver must try to convince her uncle to give him permission to date Keira.
Chapter 485: Unfinished Business
The long-awaited day finally arrived.
Rose and her friends will sail to one of Evan’s islands. This morning, they would gather at the port in the Little Heaven area.
"I’m so curious to know who those three idiots will be bringing to join us..." Rose muttered as they arrived at the Private Harbor.
"Three idiots?" Evan glanced at her with a confused look. "You’re referring to?"
"James and the others. Well, I thought they were gay."
"WHAT!? Why did you think that way?" Evan was almost choked. He wanted to laugh but also felt sorry for his friend — He knew three of them were straight guys.
"I’m just saying. And the funny part was the three fellas wanted to prove how straight they were. They said they would bring their female partner on this trip." Rose laughed and started looking around the parking lot, but she didn’t see any familiar cars.
"They are idiots. How did they find their partners in such a short time?" Evan shook his head and looked at the white yacht parked not far from their car.
He had not visited his island in a long time. Technically the island belongs to his mother — A wedding gift from his father, and now, the island belongs to him.
"I know, right!!" She doubted the three of them could bring their female partners. She knew them very well. Their standards in choosing partners were far above average.
"Hubby, who do you think will succeed?"
"I’m not sure about Randy and James, but Danny will surely bring his date..."
"Hahaha, ah yes... Danny, Danny the Womanizer." Rose giggled. She can’t wait to see Danny’s girlfriend.
Evan was speechless at how happy his wife was today. Her face seemed to light up, and she couldn’t stop talking since leaving the house. Seeing her like this hurt him. Because he rarely took her on vacation since they got married.
He ran a hand through her dark blond hair that fell like a waterfall down her back.
"Wife, are you that happy?"
"Yeah! I wish they also had a partner like Keira and Oliver." Her eyes lit up the moment she said that.
"I mean, are you happy about wanting to go to an island?" Evan’s hand moved to her neck and rubbed her blushing cheek with his thumb. "And, can you stop playing with your lips..."
"What..." Rose was confused, but her curiosity was immediately answered.
He suddenly pulled Rose into his arms and, without a chance to speak, lowered his head and covered her rosy cherry lips.
"E-Evan!!" Rose was embarrassed because there was still their driver in the front seat. But, of course, Evan kept kissing her. She couldn’t help but slowly raise her arms and wrap them around his neck. She kissed him back.
Rose’s breath quickened, but she had no intention of resisting. As they both ran out of breath, their lips slowly separated. She blushed and buried her head into his chest.
"Should we go now?" Evan asked while kissing her forehead.
"Oooh... Let’s go!" Rose smoothed her hair and straightened her clothes. After that, she immediately followed Evan out of the car.
However, she was stunned because only two cars were in the area, and none of the friends she had invited were present.
"Where are the others? Why haven’t they come yet?" Rose panicked, afraid everyone she invited wouldn’t come along, especially those three idiots.
Rose was really looking forward to seeing the three idiots’ partners. And also, Noah Stone finally agreed to join them and said he would bring a friend.
Evan didn’t say anything. He took her hand and led her to the yacht. Several crew members in dark blue uniforms stood near the entrance and greeted them respectfully.
Rose was amazed when she entered the yacht — Super luxurious. She could roughly guess that this yacht could accommodate around 50 guests.
"Mr. Collins, Ms. Collins, welcome...." The captain greeted them and started explaining some technical things.
They both listened silently, but later, Rose was surprised to know they would sail in about 3 hours. She thought it would only take an hour. No wonder Evan prepared this big and luxurious yacht, so they wouldn’t get bored during the trip.
"And another guest has arrived. They’re all in the upper lounge to enjoy the welcome drinks..." The captain said.
"Good. We can sail now, capt!" Evan spoke a few words to him. On the other hand, Rose was shocked to learn that all the guests had arrived.
She wanted to laugh because she had been worried that her friends wouldn’t come along. Apparently, they were already on this ship. She would have rushed over and talked to them if she had known.
"Hubby, you came last on purpose?" Rose chuckled as she followed Evan from behind. The couple walked through the corridors of the rooms like in a hotel.
Rose started to get confused. Why did they go to the room? Shouldn’t they join the others on the upper deck?
"Yup. I purposely asked all the guests to come earlier, so we don’t have to wait for them." Evan said and held her hand tighter.
"You did excellent work, hubby!" She laughed but was later curious why Evan had brought her to the primary bedroom. "Oh, you want to change before going to the lounge?"
"No. Let’s finish our unfinished business before joining the other..." Evan’s eyes became unusually gentle, but there seemed to be emotion boiling within the gentleness. He suddenly pulled her into his arms and kissed her gently.
"E-Evan... What..." Before Rose could finish her words, Evan’s hand skillfully unbuttoned her shirt. Rose was surprised, but she didn’t resist.
