Chapter 486: Fiance

When Rose and Evan had their intimate moment in the primary bedroom. All guests in the upper deck lounge enjoyed their welcome drinks.

And in the corner, Oliver, sitting with Keira, saw Sam appear from downstairs. He called Sam to join them.

"Where’s your lady boss, Sam? I don’t see her around." Oliver asked. He hadn’t seen Rose and Evan since he arrived. A few minutes ago, when he asked the crew, they said Evan’s car had just come.

But since the yacht departed, Rose and Evan had not yet appeared. He found it strange, as hosts for this trip, the two of them were nowhere to be seen. Did they use another yacht?

"They will join later ..." Sam answered casually and very briefly to avoid any further questions from Oliver. Sam was told by Evan’s driver that the bosses were making out in the back seat right before they got out of the car. So he knew what his boss was doing in the primary bedroom and felt awkward when people asked where they were about now. Telling the guests the bosses are finishing their unfinished business in their room would likely sound strange.

Just listening to the driver who told him, made Sam’s head dizzy. His big boss and his wife were still like newlyweds. Whenever they were close together, they became burning with passionate love.

"Sam, sister Rose is still chatting downstairs with the crew, isn’t she?" Keira asked.

For a moment, Sam looked at Keira.

He knows the two of them are deeply in love, but so far, they rarely show affection in public. But, he saw this petite girl hugging Oliver’s arm while enjoying her apple juice and occasionally resting her head on Oliver’s shoulder. This little girl is too bold.

Sam looked awkward before replying, "Yeah, yeah. I think you could say that..." He hesitated to lie to Kei.

He tried to divert the conversation to talk about the trip.

Many questions filled Sam’s mind. Did Keira’s parents know this was a romantic trip? Sure Keira is of consented age, but this trip is undoubtedly more for the adults than the on-age young girls.

Sam heard from Danny this trip would be hot because they would bring their female companion. And his boss, too, they are still madly in love. He can guess they will use this trip as their second honeymoon. He can imagine what will happen on the island.

"Miss Keira, did your parents know about this adult trip?" Sam then looked at Oliver. "I mean, did they know you went with your boyfriend?" He knew how strict Keira’s parents were — Sean talked about it several times when they met.

Just before Keira wanted to answer Sam, Oliver said, "She is not only my girlfriend, Sam! But, she is also my fiance..." He grinned widely to make Sam gawk in shock.

"A-Are you two engaged? Really? When?? Well, congrats, either way." Sam was shocked but immediately calmed.

"Hahaha, yup! We got engaged a few days ago. Sorry, Sam, we didn’t invite you because this is a family event, so only the closest family comes..." Oliver said proudly.

Oliver was amused to see Sam’s reaction. Sam wasn’t the only one who felt that way, but he still couldn’t believe it either.

While in another corner...

James and the others sat on the sofa and felt displeased with Rose.

"Where’s Rose? Why hasn’t she shown up yet? Did she use a helicopter to go to the island? How cruel!!" James grunted as the boat started moving away from the harbor, but Rose and Evan had not yet appeared.

"I guess so! That girl is so heartless..." said Randy. He then looked at the woman beside him, "Would you like to drink something? Let me get it for you..." The woman smiling at him through her bright almond eyes could only hear his barely audible voice.

Her dimples appeared as she smiled, "Yes, But let’s go together, Randy!"

"Alright..." Randy stood up. Then, he gazes at Danny and James. "Do you guys need anything?" After seeing them shake their heads, he walked with the girl to the buffet area, leaving James and Danny behind.

"Danny, where is your girlfriend!? You haven’t introduced her to us yet?"

James saw Danny opposite him, who looked so focused on his cell phone. It’s strange to see Danny silent. Because it wasn’t normal for him to behave like this.

This is out of Danny’s character. This man never lags behind when they talk. What else, when they gossiped about Rose and Evan!?

What’s wrong with him? Did he fight with the girl he took on this trip?

Danny slowly looked at James. The corners of his lips lifted slightly into a faint smile when he saw James looking at him thoughtfully.

"Relax, man. She is resting in the room. She will join us soon." He then places his cell phone on his side.

"Who is she? Do I know her? I mean, is she one of the girls you’ve been with..." James was curious.

He can feel Danny seemed to cover up the identity of the girl he was with. As for him, he didn’t even have time to hide his companion. Everyone already knew her.

James then glanced at the girl he had invited to this trip. She was now talking to a few waitresses. That girl is too easy to get along with.

"No. I never take her to meet you guys. But, yeah, I think you must know her..." Danny rubbed his brows as a soft chuckle escaped his lips.

"Really!?" James couldn’t hide his excitement.

Between the three of them, Danny often invites his girlfriends to the bar when they’re hanging out. But, out of all the girls, he took none of them seriously. They were just his bedmates, nothing more.

But this time, the girl he brought on this trip seemed special. That means he’s serious about her, right!?

"James, my girl is not the highlight here!!" Danny suddenly stared intently at James.

"What? Why are you suddenly looking at me like that!?" James was confused by Danny’s annoyed look.

Chapter 487: James Falls In Love

"Man, I can’t believe you brought Karin on this trip!" Danny was still in shock when he saw Karin Olson, their classmate at university.

If Karin Olson was just a college friend, it wouldn’t matter. But now, Karin is one of the employees at the Wilson Group — Marketing Manager.

"What’s wrong with her? She’s a girl, right!?" James chuckled. He needs to bring a woman on this trip to prove to his heartless boss that he still prefers women to men.

"No problem with that. However, Karin is part of the office people. You can’t play around with her, or your reputation in the office will be bad, James! You must remember your position as CFO in our company..."

James was speechless.

"Do you understand what I’m saying?" Ask Danny again.

James didn’t bother answering Danny’s question. He just looked at Karin with a look that was difficult to describe.

"Shit!! This man dared to ignore me," Danny cursed James in his heart. Just before he wanted to say something to scold him, he saw James stare in a specific direction.

Curious, Danny followed that direction.

It only took two seconds to notice that James’ gaze on Karin was different from usual. His gaze was not on a female friend but someone he liked and wanted to protect.

Danny begins to suspect that James is in love with Karin.

He was rendered speechless.

How could he never notice it? After they always hung out with Karin in their final year at university, James always protected her. Now, everything is apparent in his mind. And he was sure James really liked Karin.

"Damn, James! Do you really like her?" Danny sat up straighter while looking at James with wary eyes. "For real, James?"

James didn’t talk back but he graced Danny with a fierce murderous gaze, feeling irritated.

"Tsk, tsk, angry means YES! Man, since when did you like her?" Danny couldn’t help but tease this silly James.

"Shut up!! Don’t mind my business here, okay? And, why are you so noisy?" He snapped.

"Wow! Relax, man..." Danny laughed, hearing James angry at him.

James didn’t give Danny a chance to say anything. He immediately stood up and left Danny alone. He’d rather talk to Karin than hear asshole Danny Lewis taunt him.

"Hahaha, you look funny, James." Danny shook his head, watching James walk away from him.

"What happened, Danny? Why does James look so angry? Are you teasing him again?" Asked Randy, who had just returned. He was surprised to see James’ face darken as if someone had just provoked him.

"Randy, you won’t believe what I found."

"What?"

"That fool James. He really likes Karin." Danny laughed, proud because he was the first to know about this big news. But when he saw Randy’s flat expression, he stopped laughing.

"Damn it!! Randy, you already know?"

"Yup! I’ve known since we were in college." Randy casually replied while helping the girl beside him open her beer can.

Danny gaped in disbelief. So, all this time, he was the one who didn’t know!?

"Does Evan know about this too?"

"I’m not sure. But everyone in our class knows that James likes her. That’s why no one dares to pursue Karin..."

"How could I miss that?" he grumbled. This hurt his dignity as a friendly person who used to know everything.

"Yeah, how could you, man? He’s your best friend. But I get it. You’re preoccupied with your ’work’, right?!" Said Randy sarcastically, remembering Danny was busy playing with all the girls chasing him when they were in college.

"Hahaha... yeah. I’m afraid so. Well, I’m so happy for James and his new girlfriend." Then Danny saw the woman beside Randy drinking her beer while enjoying the sea, ignoring their conversation as if she didn’t know them.

"Sister-in-law, we haven’t seen each other in a long time. You look good, as usual..." Danny smiled at her.

Randy looked calm, but internally, he was shocked to hear Danny. He remained silent, not intending to correct him. Instead, he wanted to reward him for doing that.

Renata Ellis’ deep gaze on Danny is filled with unclear emotions. She was too surprised to hear the way Danny called her, ’sister-in-law’.

Before she could correct Danny, she stopped when she heard him continue his words.

"Where do you work now, Renata?" Ask Danny again. He’s always been curious about Renata. Because this woman was Randy’s childhood best friend and the only woman Randy had ever been introduced to other people.

He and James even predicted that Randy would marry Renata one day. This is because they have the same personality; both are quiet, and intelligent, have weird hobbies ’to study,’ and are very difficult to socialize with. It’s no wonder they can only be friends with each other.

Renata pushes the bridge of her glasses as her gaze is still fixed on Danny with unclear emotions.

Even though she was still shocked by the way Danny called her ’sister-in-law,’ she didn’t mind. She hoped that one day she would actually become a sister-in-law to him. However, she seemed worried that Randy would be displeased.

"I will take my postgraduate studies at Astington University." She answers briefly to avoid another question from Danny about her relationship with Randy.

Renata didn’t want this sensitive topic to be discussed. Because she was very grateful to be invited to vacation with Randy’s friends and wanted to enjoy this vacation with Randy to the fullest. This is despite their rocky relationship.

"Wow!! You look cool, sister-in-law. I envy you..." Danny gave a thumbs up.

While Danny and the others chatted.

In another part of the yacht, Noah Stone stood with Willard Harper, enjoying the morning breeze while sipping their hot coffee.

"Noah, thank you for inviting me on this trip..." Willard smiled strangely at the Naïve Noah.

"Don’t say that. Rose forced me to come and said I could bring one friend with me. So, I asked you. I like to have someone fun to talk to if the others are busy with their partners...." Noah Stone said with a laugh.

"Man, I want to thank you too because you can make time amid your busy schedule." Noah continued and raised his coffee cup to make a toast.

Willard did the same, giving Noah a fake, timid smile.

Chapter 488: Teach A Lesson

After two hours, Rose and Evan finally went upstairs to meet their friends and partners.

However, she runs into Noah near the deck on her way to the lounge. To her surprise, she saw Willard Harper beside Noah. She thought Noah would invite his manager, Dylan — but it turned out she was wrong.

Rose knew it wasn’t easy for Noah, as a top celebrity, to ask his girlfriend out. But is it that easy to invite Willard Harper, a top movie star?

Does this famous actor have a lot of free time, so he can join them on the island?

She was curious, wanting to ask Willard, but she would put that aside for now. Plenty of opportunities to talk to him again on the island. Now, she needs to greet the others.

"Rose, you finally appeared." Noah greeted Rose and also Evan, who stood beside Rose. The man didn’t say a word or even bless them with a smile.

"Hey, I’m here now, right? Don’t be mad again..." Noah raised his hand to ruffle her hair but stopped before touching it when he felt someone slap him with a stare. He pulled his hand away and cursed Evan in his heart.

As for Rose, she was utterly unaware that Evan and Noah were starting a staring contest with no end, with neither willing to budge.

Rose then saw Willard and greeted him as well.

"Willard, thank you for coming to accompany my brother. I hope you two will enjoy this vacation. Please don’t think about work here. This is the vacation you guys need all this time..." She smiled and seemed proud of her great hospitality.

"I agree with you, Rose. We really need a vacation. And thank you for this opportunity..." Willard Harper’s smile grew wider, feeling so happy to have the opportunity to be close to her.

However, even though he was happy to be on the same island as her for the next few days, the anger at the man holding Rose’s hand would never dissipate. This damn Evan Collins doesn’t deserve Rose!

"Okay, I’ll leave you guys to continue your chat... I’ll meet the others in the lounge," Rose said and immediately left Noah and Willard.

Rose could feel the man beside her feel unhappy with the presence of Noah and Willard — it was evident that he was jealous of them.

"Hubby, smile!" Rose teased him after she saw how stiff his face was now. "Brother Noah is our guest, and since he invited Willard Harper, that guy will be our guest too. I hope you can understand."

"Hmm... I’m cool with that." Evan tried to adjust his expression. Not wanting his wife to know how deep his anger is toward Noah Stone and Willard Harper.

As a man, Evan had long known that the two men viewed Rose differently. And this made him uncomfortable and wary whenever they were around Rose.

When Rose entered the lounge, she was amazed to see her friends.

"Oh-My-God!! These three idiots managed to bring their partners? For real!?"

"My beautiful wife, have you forgotten? Karin is our classmate. Even though she isn’t close to our group, I have long known that James likes her. So..."

"What the F..." Before Rose could finish her sentence, Evan’s flick landed on her forehead.

Rose glared at Evan as she rubbed her stingy forehead. "W-Why did you hit...no... I mean... flick me!?"

"Wife, you should try not to say those bad words... It’s not good if we have children one day!" Evan put on his best seductive smile to melt her anger.

Although Rose was annoyed, she agreed with Evan.

Rose remembers this girl because Bianca is one of the travel V-loggers she likes on social media. She always uploads beautiful photo scenery and food on her Instagram timeline.

"Let’s go... Let’s meet all of them." She said happily.

Evan didn’t say a word and followed Rose nonchalantly to join the others. And, as they entered, suddenly, the lounge became much more frenzy.

Chapter 489: Vacation (1)

After the frenzy on the yacht, finally, at 11 AM, they arrived on the Island with white sandy beaches surrounding it.

The island manager greeted them at the port when they got off the yacht. He explained about the Island and all the facilities. Starting from the bar and restaurant in the middle of the Island. It’s the most enormous building. The Island offers many activities, including tennis courts, indoor and outdoor infinity swimming pools, a shooting range, and field tracks.

In addition, other facilities are snorkeling in several spots around the Island, which offer underwater beauty.

For guests, they will occupy white sand and several bungalows scattered around the Island.

Soon each guest was escorted by the staff to their respective bungalows.

Instantly Rose choked. The sweet soft drink she had just sipped spurted out her mouth. Her face flushed. She was shocked to hear Evan’s words.

"Be careful..." Evan patted her gently on the back. "Would you like some water?"

Rose didn’t say a word. She just nodded while rubbing her chest. After she saw Evan go inside, she felt a little relieved.

Even though there are two bedrooms in the bungalow — they will not share a room — Keira still feels strange. This was her first time living with someone who wasn’t her family. She was both happy and worried.

Keira was standing between her bedroom and Oliver’s bedroom. She didn’t enter her room immediately but just stared at the bed in the middle.

Her mind was busy imagining what would happen in the next few days sharing this small bungalow with Oliver. Her mind wandered south and made her blush — she suddenly felt hot even though the cabin AC was usually working.

While her mind was busy thinking about what she wanted to do with him, Oliver’s strong arms suddenly wrapped around her waist.

She was stunned. This sudden back hug made her limbs weak, so she forced herself to stay calm. And held Oliver’s hand around her waist, but she hid her flushed cheeks. Afraid this man will tease her.

"Babe, we are going to a restaurant for lunch after you unpack..." Oliver whispered close to her ear, making Keira feel her blood rushing down her spine.

"How can Sister Rose ask us to use protection? We don’t need that do we?" She asked again as she wrapped her arm around Oliver’s arm.

At the same time, Oliver saw Keira’s text message replying to Rose. Suddenly he felt his body stiffen. He was simply speechless. Does this girl know what the text means?

Oliver stared her in the eye before asking, "Do you understand what your sister Rose means?" asked Oliver as they walked out of their bungalow. He believed this innocent Keira didn’t understand the text’s meaning.

"What do you mean, Oliver? Of course, I know. That means the protective suits, the ones we’ll be wearing when we snorkel, right?" Keira asked innocently. "Did you tell my sister we were going snorkeling?" her eyes lit up at the thought of going snorkeling with her sister.

Oliver holds his laughter. His guess was correct about how this girl had misunderstood Rose’s text message. Well, it’s not her fault because she was so naïve and innocent.

Rose was lying on the bed, looking at her cell phone. But later her body suddenly froze. For several seconds she said nothing, didn’t even move. It made Evan feel worried seeing her.

"What’s wrong, wife? Something seems to be bothering you. What is it?" Evan lay beside her.

"Hubby, please read this one!" Rose immediately handed her cell phone to Evan.

Evan didn’t know how to react after reading Keira’s text. He just smiled dryly and handed Rose’s phone back.

"Hubby, did you bring a condom?" Rose asked. She wanted to give it to that stupid Keira. How dare she say, ’They don’t need protection?’
