Chapter 91: Too Fast?

She opened the door and saw Evan standing before her. He wears his formal outfit, a black shirt with a gray suit. He looks so fresh and handsome.

"E-Evan... why not come in? You know the door password, right?" Rose opened the door wide and let Evan in. She walked to the living room while Evan followed her behind.

"It’s impolite if I come in without your concern. I have called you many times, but your phone is off. You also haven’t replied to my text since last night. What happened, Rose?" Evan asked as he took her hand and pulled her into his embrace. "Are you alright?" He really misses her and worries about her.

After failing to get a callback and text from Rose till midnight, Evan decided to come back early this morning to see her. But when Evan arrived, this girl had not returned his call.

"Oh, my God... I’m really sorry, Evan! I forgot to charge my cell phone. Last night, after unpacking my stuff, my mom called me. And we talk till my phone battery runs out...." Rose wrapped her arms around Evan’s waist while resting her head on his sturdy chest. She exhales his masculine and fresh fragrance before continuing, "Last night, I was so exhausted...."

"You didn’t reply to my text and my call. You make me worry, Rose!" He tightened his embrace as he closed his eyes. It feels like he doesn’t want to go back to Vale city to continue his work. He just wanted to stay here and cuddle with her.

"Is your work done? Why are you back now?" She remembers that Evan said he would be back in the afternoon yesterday. But why did he appear this morning?

Evan let go of his arms and led Rose to the sofa. After settling her seat on the couch, he sat beside her.

"Rose, I have to return to Vale city in thirty minutes." Rose was surprised to hear that. Evan continued, "I will come back at six to pick you up. Tonight I will bring you to meet my mother...."

"W-What? Meeting your mother?" She was taken aback.

Evan smiles, looking at his lover. Her hair was still messy, and she was still wearing her blue navy short pajamas set. Her face looks a little oily, but still, her natural beauty makes her look so graceful and cute at the same time when he looks at her shocking face.

Rose almost choked upon hearing Evan’s words.

She didn’t bring many clothes from her house, because she plans to buy several dresses here to wear at an official event. Meeting his mother is one of the official events. She had to make sure she looked good before her future mother-in-law so that Evan’s mother would like her.

"No need, Rose. Just wear your casual clothes. Even if you wear your ripped jeans, my mother will not judge you because she is an open-minded person...." Evan tried to help smooth her hair that partially covered her cheeks. His girl’s face looked adorable when she was panicking like now.

"Evan, please don’t make fun of me. This meeting is critical to me. I have to show my best side to your parents, agree? I want their first impression of me, impressive. Rose took a deep breath before continuing, "Well If I show up with my ripped jeans, your mother probably crossed my name from your future wife list name..."

Evan laughed as he gently stroked the tip of her nose.

"Why are you so cute, when you pout like that, Rose? Do that again..." He said while holding her chin. Rose glared at him, but she was wavering when she saw his face close to her. She immediately pulled her head away from him.

"Alright, Rose... you can use whatever you like. But no need to buy a new dress. Please wait for me. I will accompany you to go shopping....hmm?" Evan said in his voice that sounded so gentle. Too gentle, Evan himself was confused to hear his own voice.

Why do I sound like I’m talking to my little daughter? He couldn’t believe that he could be this softy with someone.

"Are you sure, Evan? I mean, can I wear any clothes?" At first, she thought she wanted to buy a beautiful simple dress. But, if she can wear pants or skirts, she doesn’t need to go shopping anymore. After chatting for a while, Evan excused himself. He had to return to Vale city again.

"No worries, Rose." Evan hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead gently before entering the elevator. "I’ll come to your office at five." Rose could only wave while smiling sweetly at him.

As the elevator doors closed, she returned to her house. But before she entered her home, she looked back to see door #201 in front of her unit.

"Does anyone live here?" Rose muttered as she opened her house door and entered.

Chapter 92: Wilson Group

Since the morning after meeting Evan, Rose’s mind was filled with images of having dinner with Evan’s mother. She didn’t even realize that it was already 9 in the morning. Until she heard her phone vibrate and saw Sam’s name appear on the screen.

"Sam!?"

"Lady boss? Are you still sleeping?" Sam’s voice sounded frantic on the other end.

"Are you kidding me?" Rose immediately took her black saddle bag and her laptop bag. She left her apartment after she put on her white sneakers.

Today Rose deliberately dressed casually; She was wearing a white t-shirt. She tucked it into her khaki pants and covered it with an oversized black shirt as an outer. There’s no special meeting with the client today. She just wanted to meet the key people in her company. And introduce them one by one—especially Steve and Oliver, who had never met her three classmates.

When Rose arrived at the ground floor, she was shocked to see Sam’s tall body standing right in front of the elevator doors. He looks neat in his gray suit with trousers the same color as his suit. His brown hair was neatly styled as a decent professional assistant. His face, which had always looked unsmiling, immediately turned friendly when he saw her.

"Morning Lady Boss..." Sam greeted her as he took her laptop bag. Rose smiles at him and walks out of the elevator.

"You look stylish, Sam... are you not hot in this outfit?" Spring temperatures in the city of Fort are pretty warm. And She remembers when in South City, she never saw him dressed like this. Usually, he only wears a black shirt and trousers, with a light coat.

Sam almost trips when he hears her words. He was puzzled about what to wear because today was his first day officially working with Lady Boss. During his time in East City, it could be said that he only accompanied her as a driver or bodyguard.

But this time, it is different. Sam became her personal assistant who would help her manage her schedule and everything related to her office matters. That’s why he decided to dress like a professional assistant.

They only needed to walk to the next building through an exclusively connected road from the apartment to the Fortune building. So they don’t need to leave the apartment area.

While they entered the building, Rose could see how tight the security was. Only people with name tags are allowed to enter the lift area. And the lobby is so vast that she feels like she is in a luxury hotel lobby rather than an office building.

There are many seating areas in the lounge and a few Western restaurants and coffee shops on the corner. Some people dressed as executives and some foreigners chatted casually in the lobby while enjoying coffee with colleagues or business partners.

Then Rose focused again, following Sam’s steps towards the elevator. She was worried that the burly security would stop them before entering the elevator area. She quickly glanced at Sam beside her, "Sam, where’s my name tag?"

"No need. Security already knows you as the owner of Wilson Group. No one will stop the Boss, right?" Sam slightly chuckled and let her walk first as he slightly nodded at the security team.

"Ah! Hahaha, you’re right, Sam! Why do I forget, now I’m the real Boss?" Rose had entirely forgotten that she owned a company. Although her company is still relatively small, just a startup company. But she believes her company has excellent potential to become a big company in the next few years.

When they walk toward the elevator, a few people greet Sam politely. Especially the security staff of the building. They seemed to know Sam well. This caught Rose’s attention. Why did Oliver hand her a flower?

Before she wanted to read the card, she heard Sam ask them to enter the office. She steps forward and follows the others while Oliver walks beside her.

Rose frowned at Oliver.

Didn’t he need to use money? Or does he also have a florist shop? Really?

Rose was surprised and even more impressed with Oliver. This young man is indeed rich. She thought he was bragging when he said he had a lot of money.

Rose glared at Oliver, "Can you lower your voice?" Rose looked around, feeling embarrassed. Luckily her office was still empty. There were no other employees in sight apart from them. She recalls, in front, when the elevator door opened, she saw there was one female and a male staff standing behind the reception desk.

She had already discussed employee issues with Danny as HR Director. According to Danny now he is doing recruitment. And maybe in the next few days, a new recruit will join them.

Now they enter the office area. There is a specific door that can be opened with fingerprint access.

Rose looked at the office area, and she was amazed. The inner office area looks stunning with the open space that doesn’t look like an office in general because the work desk arrangement is made like a cafe. She also sees there’s a room for the directors in a glass-covered room in some corners.

She wasn’t the only one who was stunned to see this office. But they are all like that. She heard them all praise how beautiful this office was.

"Boss! I can’t believe we have such a luxurious office like this...." James said.

"Just having an office in the Fortune tower already astounds me. However, when I first saw this office, I was utterly speechless. How could you invest too much in this office, boss?" Oliver did not expect this girl to have such high taste.

"Your office..." Sam opens the door to let her enter.

On the left side of the room, she saw a large office desk complete with a black leather CEO chair. And there are two white iMacs on the table.

I’m so grateful that you agreed to be a part of the Wilson group, even though this company has just been established. Especially..." Rose looked at Oliver, who was sitting beside her.

Oliver couldn’t help but smile at Rose’s praise.

Chapter 94: I Miss You

"You guys already know each other, right?" Rose saw Steve and the others nod to respond to her words. She continued, "Oliver Hester is my childhood friend. Before joining Wilson Group, he was the sole founder of the King Game Center...."

"I know them, Rose! Did you forget we are all on the same campus? We’re just different majors..." Oliver chuckled.

Rose ignores Oliver’s comical expression as she continues her words, "James Stuart will become our chief financial officer. He is an expert in handling numbers."

"You know me so well, boss!" James proudly smiles.

"And this pale-looking man is Randy Finley. He will help Oliver to manage the Wilson group. He will be our chief operating officer..." Rose looks at Oliver, "I told you before, you will not be alone. There’s Randy who will help you. He is capable in management...."

"Thank you, boss...." Randy, feeling happy, Rose praised him in front of others.

"How about Danny?" Randy and James asked at the same time. They didn’t know what position Rose would give him. Danny didn’t say anything to them either.

"Well, because our handsome Danny is good at talking and likes flirting here and there, he will fit in Public Relations and HRD to be the Director in that section...." Rose looked at Danny in front of her, who didn’t seem enthusiastic to hear her introduction.

All mouths fell open, and everyone was rendered speechless. Why did this Danny sound like he was praising his handsomeness?

"Oh, My Gosh, Danny... your overbearing attitude makes me dizzy?" Rose said as she gently massaged her forehead.

She ignores Danny, who narrows his eyes, looking at her as she continues to tell them about what they should do in a few weeks.

After finishing, she dismissed all of them except for Steve Adkins. They will sign the transfer process for Flash in front of the attorney.

"Lady Boss? Who is Lady boss?" Gary Stuart frowned.

"Forget it! Mr. Gary, you should focus on your task now. Hurry up and finish everything. I can’t wait too long. I must return to the capital immediately!" Gavin’s serious face made the others focus again.

"Five minutes..." Gavin shouted to let them all know the time limit that Evan gave them.

He stared at his friend closely as he thought, Is she really a genius at business, as others say? Why are all her decisions so bold?
