Ch. 96..100: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 96-100

Chapter 96: I Like The Company Name

"Hearsay... this company went bankrupt because the owners are brothers. They were too eager to control this company, and in the end, instead of being successful, they went bankrupt..." Rose explained as she leaned back in her chair, playing with the pen she held in her hand.

After being silent for a while, she continued her words, "Despite its condition, this company has a huge potential, James. And I could guess this company will be sold cheaply...."

"Which company?" James asked again.

"Rapid Realty..."

"WHAT! Do you want to buy that trash company? Are you joking, right?" James couldn’t believe Rose would waste her money on this company. This company has many problems with their projects.

He continued his words, "Boss, are you aware that the property business is currently stagnant, especially in the city of Vale? How could you not be able to read the market direction?" James tried to remind Rose not to be hasty.

"I’m not joking! I mean what I’m saying. And I know what I’m doing, James...."

Rose could understand why James reacted like this. Because she was really aware Rapid Realty company had no future. Better to invest in other promising companies. But, she knows something that other people don’t. There’s a hidden treasure in one of the company’s lands. The land value will soar like crazy. And will make her rich when the gold mine is found.

Now, she will not tell James or the others about this one. Worried that they would think of her as a lunatic.

James’ mouth twitches as he sees a pair of intelligent, clear eyes looking at him.

She was aware but still wanted to buy Rapid Realty? Does she have so much money that she doesn’t know where to spend any more? James was astounded by the way she thought.

"Boss Rose... I know you have plenty of money. If you want to spend your money, let me suggest you. Let’s buy land near the capital or in the east city and make a luxury townhouse. This will bring you a lot of fortune because the market in Capital and East City is still much better than Vale City...."

James feels responsible for guiding his friend, so she wouldn’t get lost. He was sure Rose would take his advice into account.

"James, what you said is reasonable. I did plan to enter the property market in the capital and east city...." Rose’s words make James smile. Finally, his Boss uses her brain in a way that won’t hurt her.

Rose continued, "But I still have to buy this Rapid Realty...."

"What? Why?" It would be much cheaper if they created a new company than buying a trash company. James stared at Rose, who was looking at the scenery outside. "Why did you insist on buying that company, boss?" He asks her again.

Rose turned her gaze to James, "Because... I like the company name. Are you happy with my answer?" She grinned while gesturing to James to leave her alone. She just realized something significant. She needs to call someone.

James was dumbfounded hearing her answer.

What the hell? His Boss buys a company because she likes the company name? Did he hear wrong?

He wanted to ask Rose, but she had already asked him to get out.

Damn! He had to do something before this company would enter the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest bankrupt company globally.

James immediately returned to his office. He needs to talk to someone. He opened his phone book and made a call.

"Evan!" James was ecstatic that Evan picked up his phone. Usually, he rarely answers his phone calls or replies to texts. In their group, Evan is known to be the laziest to talk on the phone. He always prefers text.

"What is James?" Evan’s voice sounded unenthusiastic on the other end.

"Well, sorry if I bothered you, Evan. However, I have to report something significant to you. It’s about Rose..."

Evan, sitting in the car heading to the airport to return to the capital, immediately tensed up. He sat straight.

"Speak!"

James took a deep sigh before reporting to Evan about Rose wanting to buy a bankrupt company in Vale city. He knew Evan had wise business views, and he was also the smarter among them. Evan would definitely think the same as him. Hoping he would convince Rose not to buy the bankrupt company.

"Evan... This time, Rose’s decision could endanger her company if she invests in that company. Wilson Group is still small, and our cash flow will be disrupted because of the bad choice of investment.... You know better than me, right, Evan?"

James couldn’t let Rose buy the company just because she liked the company name. What a stupid reason. Now, he needed Evan to convince Rose that what she was doing might harm her company’s development.

Evan is surprised when he hears that Rose will buy Rapid Realty in Vale city. He agreed with James. But as a lover, he will support his girlfriend.

"James, My future wife can buy any company she wants..."

James almost fell from his seat when he heard Evan’s words.

"What!? You’re kidding, right, Evan?" How could he allow Rose to buy Rapid Realty?

"I’m not! Tell me, and I will send as much money as she needs, if she needs it. Sorry, James, my flight is about to take off. Bye!"

James was utterly speechless. He looked at his phone screen turning black. He didn’t expect Evan’s reaction to being like that.

"What a weird couple!" James murmurs while smiling as he realizes that he’s worrying too much about something he shouldn’t be afraid of.

When Evan hung up on James, he immediately got on the plane. Suddenly, his cell phone vibrated. He thought James was trying to contact him again. But it wasn’t; it was an incoming text message from Rose. Evan is smiling as he opens it.

[Rose] What is your investment company name?

Evan frowned! Didn’t she already know? Why did she ask again?

Chapter 97: Mr. Landlord

Evan dialed Rose’s number immediately before the plane took off.

"Rose..." Evan was surprised. His call was picked up on the first ring.

"Evan! Where are you now?"

"I was about to fly back. I read your message. My investment company is Starlight Investment. Haven’t you visited the branch office in East city? Did you forget?"

"I do not forget...." Rose stood up from her chair. She looked out at the building with the big sign ’Starlight Apartment.’ She continued her words, "How about the name of the owner of my unit apartment? What’s his name?"

Evan was getting confused.

"Can you just ask what you want to know?" Evan chuckled as he thought his girl had become suspicious about something. But he didn’t know what it was.

Hearing Evan’s laughter on the other end, she also became amused. "Evan, you own my unit apartment, right?"

Evan froze. Damn! Has she been found out?

"Oh, dear... Mr. Evan Collins, you think I’m a child? You can’t hide this kind of thing from me." She continued her laugh. "Well, can I suggest to you, Mr. Collins? Next time, you should name your property, use a different name, and don’t use the same name as your company..."

Evan couldn’t help but also laugh. He can’t hide this from her.

"You got me, Miss Wilson! Well, sorry..." Evan didn’t know what to say. Worried that Rose would feel offended because he lied to her.

"Mr. Landlord, no need to feel sorry. Just give me a special discount. So can I save more money to buy my meal?"

Evan’s heart lightened hearing her playful tone over there. He was worried that Rose would be angry because he wasn’t honest with her. But it turned out that what he feared did not happen.

"Miss Wilson, because your attitude is kind and your voice is so sweet, I will give you a one hundred percent discount on your rent. Just pay me with your heart. It’s enough for me...."

"Wow! Mr. Landlord, you are so kind. But, sorry to say, my heart is costly... maybe you can’t afford it."

"Miss Willson... we can negotiate later in your house. Agreed?"

"Fine! I will wait for you at my house Mr. Landlord. Can you come to visit me at my house faster? I want to see you in person... Well, I’m starting to like you, Mr. Landlord. Your voice when you laugh like that makes my heart tremble." She happily laughs after she hangs up the phone.

Rose was still shocked to learn that her apartment building belonged to Evan’s investment company, Starlight Investment. She never expected that Starlight Investment would be this big. She thought the company would only be successful in the next few years.

At the same time, Sam stood in the corner, with a sharp gaze looking at Rose. His mind was in chaos when he heard the lady boss flirting with someone on the phone. He could tell that the Lady boss was talking to a man from the way she spoke and laughed.

Mr. Landlord? Who is he? They even made an appointment to meet at Lady Boss’s house!? Wasn’t Lady Boss worried that Boss Evan would catch her?

"The doomed day is approaching the capital of Astington..." Sam murmurs silently. He can’t imagine that Boss Evan will be in a rage if he knows his beloved girlfriend cheated with Mr. Landlord.

How could Lady Boss betray his boss after what he did to her? Boss Evan is so loving and sincere to her, but she betrays him? Gosh!

Sam is confused about what he should do to make Lady Boss not leave his boss.

Later, he had an idea. He is now determined to keep Lady Boss from meeting Mr. Landlord. This is the only thing he can do to his boss Evan.

"Sam!? How long have you been standing there?" Rose was surprised to see Sam standing in front of the door. He looked frozen as if he was contemplating something. "Do you need me?"

Sam snapped out when he faintly heard Rose ask him.

"L-Lady Boss! I want to ask you about your lunch..." Sam stuttered.

"Already lunchtime!? Why did time fly so fast?" Rose looks at her watch. She was surprised to know this was already lunchtime.

"Sam, I will eat here, I still have much to do, and I have to return home at four. You can order anything for me...." Rose said while she started looking at her computer again, trying to settle her work. "Thank you, Sam!" She said before Sam closed the door.

Sam is thinking hard to find a way out so Lady Boss won’t cheat on his Boss Evan, or they will be in big trouble.

He took his cell phone and sent a warning notice to Gavin.

[Sam] SOS! Bro Gavin, we are in trouble.

[Sam] I just heard the Lady boss talk to a man and she sounded flirting with that man. They even have a plan to meet. I need your suggestions here, bro...

[Sam] When are you guys coming back? Hurry up... bring boss Evan back to the capital before Lady Boss is taken by another man. I’m feeling frustrated here, bro... I will guard Lady boss so she will never meet that man.

Sam places his phone on the table, feeling annoyed because Gavin does not reply to him even though his status message has been read.

Is Gavin busy there?

[Sam] Bro, are you busy? Call me immediately if you read my text.

At Vale City Private Airport.

Evan stared at Gavin’s phone as he read the text message that had just come in. His face turned darker as he dialed Sam’s number.

"B-Bro Gavin! Thanks, lord... you finally called me! Why are you...." Sam paused when he didn’t hear Gavin’s voice. "Bro Gavin, did you hear me? Hello! Brother Gavin? Why are you mute? Is your signal bad over there?"

"What is it!?"

Instantly Sam’s body froze when he heard Boss Evan’s frosty voice from the other end.

Chapter 98: It Looks Like Sam Needs a Vacation

Today is an unlucky day for Gavin.

After finishing his task in the office, he managed to catch up with his boss at the airport. Unfortunately, when he received a message from that dumb Sam, Boss Evan was beside him and read all the messages that dumb Sam sent to him. Without saying anything, Boss Evan grabbed his cell phone and called Sam.

Now, Gavin is distraught to see how angry his boss is now. Not only that, but he also felt grief because his new iPhone would soon become obsolete.

When Gavin was worried, Sam was feeling confused.

"What the hell happened here? Why is Gavin’s phone in Boss Evan’s hand?" Sam speaks to his mind. "Damn it! Boss Evan, read the short message I sent earlier?" He could only curse and tried to pray that boss Evan didn’t read all the text he sent before.

"B-boss... M-may I speak to G-Gaavin?" Sam succeeds in stringing words after a few seconds of awkward silence.

"Sam! I read what you sent. Tell me everything now, or you will never set foot in Astington again."

"B-boss, please mercy my stupid ass...." Sam didn’t want to waste time. He immediately recounted the chronology when he overheard Lady Boss chatting with men on the phone.

Evan’s dark aura got thicker. He felt like he wanted to hit someone when hearing Sam’s words. Still, he couldn’t believe what Sam said. Because his lover will never do that kind of thing. He knew very well that only two men were on Rose’s mind. Dustin and him. Dustin has now gone to hell. And only he, himself, was left. Sam must lie to him or hallucinate hearing Rose flirting with other guys.

"His name?" Evan tightened his grip on the cellphone, preparing to slam it on the floor if he heard something that upset him.

"B-Boss E-Evan..." Sam was distraught to tell him that other man’s name. But he doesn’t have a choice, or his boss will punish him if he keeps it a secret.

Sam continued after a few seconds of pause, "I hear... Lady Boss, call him Mr. Landlord!" He felt a little relieved after saying that weird name. But later, he panicked because the phone line disconnected. "Boss... boss... Evan!?"

Sam is so worried that his boss on the other end will go berserk after hearing the name Mr. Landlord.

What should he do now? Sam stared at his cell phone motionless. He feels worried.

In Vale city,

Evan returned Gavin’s cell phone.

"Let’s go!!!" Evan said as he walked towards his jet.

A faint smile frames Evan’s face after hearing the man’s name. His worry and anger gradually disappear. But he feels pissed off with Sam.

How dare Sam delay his flight with trash gossip?

Looks like Sam Russell needs an extended vacation. Evan thought he would send Sam on holiday so that his brain could be fresh again.

****

Before Four in the afternoon, Rose rushed back to her apartment.

Sam escorted Lady Boss to the door. He was worried that she would meet Mr. Landlord. He clearly heard earlier that Lady Boss had made an appointment with that man.

"Lady Boss... let me help you to tidy your place. Looks like it’s starting to get messy..." Sam walked in ahead of Rose, carrying her laptop bag.

Rose was speechless, looking at Sam, who had been acting strangely. Since in the office, every time she looks at her cell phone or receives a call, he always appears nearby. As if he wanted to know what she was doing.

And now he says her apartment is messy? Is he kidding? This apartment is still as clean as she came in yesterday. She just used the living room and bedroom area. She doesn’t have time to use another room, let alone the kitchen.

Rose clearly remembers Evan said someone would come to clean her unit every two days.

She looked at Sam in the kitchen, trying to do something, "Sam! No need. My apartment is still clean. Besides, why do you have to clean? You can call the staff who used to clean this apartment?"

"L-Lady Boss... are you sure? Maybe I can help you with something? Like organizing your shoes or your stuff at your home office?" Sam is still unwilling to leave her. He must stay here until his boss Evan arrives.

"No! Thanks, Sam... You can go home now. I will call you if I need you...."

"Lady boss... can I just stay here for a while?"

"Why?"

"I suddenly feel tired! And my legs are getting weak... I will stay here until I get a little bit better." Sam makes a random excuse so he can buy time for his boss.

"You think I’m so brainless to believe you?" How could a martial art expert get tired this quickly? The white skull gangster will cry if he hears what Sam said earlier. Gosh!

"L-Lady Boss... I’m telling the truth here. I’m not trying to fool you." Sam gulps, slightly afraid his words will offend Lady Boss. Instantly he wanted to slap his head. How could he not find another excuse?

"I’m also serious! Now go!" Rose was starting to feel annoyed with Sam’s odd behavior today. "If you don’t leave in a minute, I will ask Evan to replace you...." She stares Sam in the eyes as if wanting to tell him that what she said is his last chance.

Sam’s body froze. He couldn’t trick this brilliant Lady Boss.

"L-Lady boss, instantly, I feel healthy. I will go now... have a good rest, lady boss. If you need me, don’t forget to call me..." Sam walks fast to the entrance as he prays Lady boss will not report to Boss Evan.

He will go home and wait for his execution day to arrive. He made so many mistakes today. He let the boss Evan know about Mr. Landlord. And now, he offended Lady Boss.

"Damn it, God! Can you leave me alone? Why do you always mess with my business here?" Sam could only curse God in his heart.

Chapter 99: Little Heaven

After Rose saw Sam leaving her apartment.

She immediately went into her bedroom to prepare. The excitement of meeting Evan’s parents took over her mind. She couldn’t wait to meet her future mother-in-law.

However, her thrill subsided when she opened her wardrobe. There are not many choices of clothes there. Only a few blouses, outer blazers, and pants.

What a pathetic wardrobe? How can a founder of an investment company only have a few pieces of clothing?

In fact, there are only three shoes that she brought to the capital. She really needs shopping. Lots to buy. She needs formal clothes for her to use at work. She also needs sports clothes because she will start physical training with Evan. She didn’t bring her running shoes.

After a while, she decided to wear her white blouse combined with culottes in beige color. She let her dark blonde hair down to her back. After being satisfied with her appearance, now she was confused looking at her shoes. Whether to use a stiletto or flat shoes?

Rose felt her head slightly spinning. Just for dinner, she has to rack her brains. It seems easier to choose a company to buy than to select an outfit to meet the future in-laws. Gosh!

She spends another minute just deciding which shoes she wants to use. Her choice this time is to wear her black stilettos, which has the same color as her saddlebag. After putting on her stilettos, she heard the doorbell ring.

Evan!? It must be him. She smiles while walking fast to the entrance.

"Evan?" She asks before opening the door.

"I am. Are you ready, Rose?"

Rose opens the door and looks at her boyfriend. He wears his casual clothes, ready for their dinner.

"How could we wear matching colors?" Evan looked surprised at Rose, wearing a white blouse and beige pants.

"Did you put CCTV in my bedroom, Mr. Landlord?" Rose teased him as she felt surprised. The difference is only their shoes. Evan uses his white sneakers. He’s so casual. While her? She is too formal with her stilettos. Instantly, she decided to change her shoes. She will wear her comfortable white sneakers.

"Mmm... You think it’s too extreme, Miss Wilson!" Evan laughs as he rubs Rose’s hair before continuing, "I don’t need to install CCTV. I will just move in here to stay with you. May I?"

Rose froze hearing his words. She stepped back to make a distance between them to worry this man would tease her again. She can’t buy it, or he will talk about their marriage registry again.

"Evan... Don’t ruin my hair." She makes a random excuse to hide her blushing face. She can feel how hot her cheeks are now. "Wait here, Evan. Let me take my bag first...." Rose said as she walked fast inside, leaving Evan still standing at the door.

"No need to rush, Rose. We still have a lot of time..." Evan shouted when he saw his girl running like a rabbit. His girl runs in time. She may end up in his arms because right now, he can’t resist her charm and her cuteness when her cheeks turn red like peaches.

Evan could only shake his head, trying to think clearly. His mind is in a dangerous state. He may cancel to meet his mother and stay here cuddling with his girl.

A few minutes later...

Rose came back, but she didn’t see Evan at the door. He saw him standing at the end of the corridor, looking out the street below. She quickly locked her apartment and walked over to him.

"Evan, I’m ready?" Rose saw Evan turn back and smile at her. "Where are we going?" She follows Evan as he’s holding her hand and walking toward the elevator.

"At your favorite place..."

Rose was surprised. She never told Evan anything about her favorite place to visit in this city because she had never seen this city before, in this life, or in her previous life. How could he know? Instantly she was worried that Evan would find out about her rebirth.

"I have never been to this city, Evan. How could I have a favorite place to visit?"

"Well, I was just guessing. You like the sea, right?" Evan asks. He recalls Rose ever saying she likes the beach more than the mountain.

"Yeah, you’re right. I prefer the beach...." Rose answered immediately. She was relieved. She worried about nothing.

After a thirty-minute drive from the apartment, it wasn’t long before their car entered the coastal area.

No tall buildings in the area. The place was so quiet, in contrast to the downtown location where they lived. Several buildings like shops facing the sea are used as restaurants and cafes. And behind the building, Rose can see a beautiful hill. Several luxurious but artistic private villas are standing grandeur on it. They look built in harmony with the hill’s natural surroundings.

Rose was stunned. Why did Evan bring her to this place? She knows this place. This place is called Little Heaven, where the rich people in this city reside and spend their time. Not just anyone can visit this place because Little Heaven is a private townhouse owned by the Collins group.

This is the first time Rose has come to this area. And she immediately fell in love with this place, especially when her eyes saw the sea. The previously blue sky slowly turned blackish orange as the sun gradually disappeared on the horizon. It looked so pretty. She was mesmerized. Now, she understands why this place is called Little Heaven. The sunset view is really stunning.

Just enjoying the natural beauty here has made her happy. What else to enjoy dinner at a restaurant with loved ones? It would definitely be more fun. She was delighted and couldn’t wait to know where Evan would take her to dinner.

Too happy with the beauty of Little Heaven that she forgot the worry of meeting her future mother-in-law that had enveloped her heart earlier.

Chapter 100: She Is My Mother

Rose was still mesmerized by the twilight in the sky.

But, not long after, she felt their car slowly turn left and away from the beach. He looked at the road ahead. Their car was now driving on a much quieter and narrower road, there were only two lanes, and the road was slightly uphill. The further their car went up, the fewer buildings passed. There are only trees that flank the road.

A few moments later, the car slowed down and turned left to enter the private road. From a distance, Rose saw a two-story house with a modern facade. It does not look like a restaurant or cafe but more like a private house. Their car stopped right in front of a solid black fence.

"Evan, this..." Rose looked at Evan, who smiled at her. He didn’t say anything as he started the car after the black fence in front opened automatically.

Not getting an answer from Evan, Rose looked ahead and was surprised to see a familiar short-haired woman standing in front of the big and artistic black door. Looked like she was waiting for their arrival. Her smile grew wider when their car stopped a few meters from her.

Rose was shocked.

"W-Why aunty in this place?" She asked Evan without turning her gaze from that woman she knew. "Evan, what is this place? Aren’t we going to a restaurant for dinner with your mother?" Rose continues her words as she looks at Evan. She was utterly confused.

Evan stroked Rose’s head gently as his eyes stared at her curious and shock-looking eyes.

"Rose, this is my mother’s house. And she is my mother...." He grinned. Rose was surprised to hear his words. Motionless, she saw Evan get out of the car.

"Am I dreaming!?" She murmurs. "E-Evan Aunty Doris is your mother? Really your mother? I mean, your biological mother?" She whispered to Evan, who was helping her unbuckle her seatbelt.

All she knew from her previous life, Mr. Anthony Collins’ wife was not a doctor. How could Doris Stearns be the wife of Mr. Anthony Collins? Or did she hear wrong?

"Hmm... That’s my mother. Come, let’s greet her..." Evan took her hand and led her to walk to his mother.

"Oh my god... you guys finally arrived. Come here, Rose, let Aunty hug you!" Doris smiles widely, looking at her future daughter-in-law. This girl looks more beautiful since she last saw her in East City.

Rose saw Doris walk toward her with her beautiful smile frame and delicate small face. She looks so graceful with her pixie black hair. It really matches her casual black dress.

She still couldn’t believe Aunty Doris, who she had known for the past few months was Evan’s mother. No wonder Evan was so confident that his mother would like her. Aunty Doris is indeed so kind to her and her mother. She always calls her just to ask about her mother’s condition. They meet at the hospital from day one, and she feels comfortable talking to Aunty Doris.

"A-Aunty Doris, how are you?" Rose received a warm hug from Aunty Doris awkwardly. She was still trying to accept the reality. Now Aunty Doris is her future mother-in-law.

"Aunty is fine. You look prettier, Rose...." Doris released Rose and took her hands. She led her inside, Ignoring her sulky son, who was staring sharply at her. "Let’s go inside... I already prepared our dinner tonight."

When Rose entered the house, she was stunning looking at the view from the vast glass wall that leads to the vast sea. The twilight on the horizon seems so lovely.

Later...

Doris asked Rose to sit next to her, and she started asking her many questions. They chatted for a while until they didn’t notice. There was a pair of eyes staring at them with an unfriendly look.

"Evan! Come here, join us." Doris called out to her son, standing by the window as if reluctant to sit down and chat with them.

Rose felt strange seeing Evan, who seemed distant from his mother. In East city, their interaction is not like mother and son. That was why she had never imagined that Doris was his mother.

She looked around the living room. She realized that Doris lived alone in this house. There was no trace of Evan’s father living with her. Then, suddenly she remembered an odd rumor she had heard in her previous life that Anthony Collins was divorcing and remarrying.

She never knew the name of Anthony Collins’ second wife. From the gossip she heard, his wife was a former model. But the rumor couldn’t be proven because she read it from a trash gossip portal.

Not much information about the Collins family can be found on the internet or in other media. Their family is very private. The only news is always about their business, and it appears quite often. And even then, only Anthony Collins appears. No one else ever does so. And Evan when he was announced as the sole heir to the Collins Group.

Now she got the answer. The rumors she has heard are true. And she never expected Doris Stearns to be the first wife of Anthony Collins and Evan’s biological mother.

Rose stole a quick glance to see how beautiful Doris was. Her face looks so tiny, and her almond-shaped eyes are beautiful. And her smile, she can make others fall for her charm. Like her, she immediately feels comfortable around Doris.

"Can we eat now!? Rose has been starving..." Evan said as he looked at his mother opposite him. He was too lazy to linger here. His goal is to visit his mother so that Rose gets to know her.

Blessing from his mother? He already knows the answers. His mother likes Rose so much. He just needs his father to have the same feeling and do the same as his mother. He knows his father won’t accept Rose right away, but he has an exceptional bargain to make his dad do what he wants. Rose, who had just managed to put aside her shock at knowing the identity of Doris Stearns, suddenly gasped. She looked at Evan with a sharp gaze.

Who’s hungry? She never said that!

Gosh, this man!

If Doris hadn’t been in the room, she would have corrected him. But, because she wants to win Doris’ heart, she holds herself. She just smiles, looks at her future mother-in-law, and admits that she was hungry.
