Ch. 146..150: The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate Chapter 146-150
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 146
Alexander’s POV…
I almost shit my pants out to keep my throat from blurting out a terrific laugh. One thing about my drunken state is that I could always deny not knowing what I did and say I have no memory of whatever happened at dinner tonight.
There was no need for a seer to tell me Edwina was seething where she was seated. The moment I asked for Becca to be called, she practically shut off all her emphatic hormones towards myself and Caleb. It was more fun knowing that Caleb had no idea what was about to hit him.
He had shared a cold look with me when a maid went to get Becca. They didn’t know that the show hadn’t even started yet. I have had a long day; the least they can all do is indulge in some entertainment and stop acting so solemnly. While Caleb drove me back home, I had dropped a text for Carlos and Jason to join me for dinner.
The response had come in less than a minute; I felt excited knowing there was no way the table would remain the same with Becca, Carlos and Caleb in the same room. The main focus was to give Caleb a feel of what he might be missing if his feelings weren’t defined.
“Good evening, alpha. Thanks for inviting us to dinner.” Jason said calmly as he bowed his head. He did the same towards Edwina and the others.
Carlos was a different case entirely. I love him for his outspoken nature. He went straight for Becca after running a brief bow at Edwina and I.
“Hey there, beautiful. Thanks for yesterday’s meal. It was awesome.” Carlos beamed, looking so handsome.
Becca’s face lit up in a relaxing smile since she entered the room. “It’s my pleasure Carlos, you can always come by anytime, and I will treat you to some nice homemade meals.”
Edwina kissed her teeth in the most vicious manner next to my innocent ears. Hers didn’t get to me as much as Caleb’s reaction. His wolf was practically panting and ready for a tussle, his fist balled together like he would love to throw a punch if the chance was given.
“Please, let’s eat.” I smiled like the responsible alpha that I was expected to be. But really, there was never any harm in acting mischievous.
Carlos never disappoints me. There was an empty seat between Becca and Caleb. Carlos being himself and also an amusing thorn in Caleb’s flesh, sat next to Becca, grinning widely like a kindergarten kid.
Tonight was about to get lit!
I could feel Caleb trying to communicate through the mind portal. I was fighting so hard to not indulge him, but he was so insistent that I had to Indulge him.
“Yes.” The amusement in my tone was undeniable, not like I intended to hide it.
“When did you plan all of this, and I wasn’t aware?” He seethed.
“The minutes between the drive from the office to the home,” I replied in a singsong voice. These times were surely good.
“I’m so going to make you pay for this!” He growled
“Maybe you should pay more attention to Carlos than I,” I muttered, turning my gaze towards Carlos, who had his mouth next to Becca, making her giggle at something he said.
I swear that Caleb’s face practically turned red and steam emitted from all of the holes in his face. If I didn’t know better, I would think he came from a long lineage of dinosaurs.
The look on Edwina’s face was priceless, too; I could imagine if she had a wolf. She would have torn my ears down by now. However, being a Luna teaches one to be patient in public even when your alpha might be making life miserable for others.
Carlos appears to be enjoying his moment with Becca, and I could see Becca’s shoulder more relaxed due to the distraction.
Edwina spoke up first, “how did your day go at the office today?” The question was directed to Caleb, who didn’t seem prepared for it at all.
She had a Stern look on her face that said Caleb wasn’t going to have this session so easy.
“Fine, was working.” Caleb gulped in response. The look on Edwina’s face was undeniably scary.
She sighed, turning her lips side to side like she was contemplating on what to say. “You sure about that? All you did was work today?”
Caleb looked confused now, and I could tell Edwina knew of his visit to Becca in the morning, and she wasn’t in the least pleased. He looked towards me for help, but the goddess knows I would not roast myself by coming to his aid.
She returned to her food, her glare boring holes into my sides. My only worry was getting deprived of p***y after dinner.
“You look stunning tonight.” Carlos praised Becca, his whole body and attention on her. His food was a full plate away from being finished.
You could tell staring at Becca made him full, and her smile, of course, was enough to make a man go wild. Except it made Caleb want to tear the whole of my packhouse down.
“Thanks,” Becca murmured in response, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“Hmmn, this tastes delicious.” Carlos mused as he took a bite of the roasted chicken he had on his plate.
For the first time since we sat at the dining table, I saw Edwina let out a genuine smile, making my boy Caleb look like he would shrink.
“That’s Becca’s special. She prepared it.” Came her response.
“Oh wow.” Carlos said with a grin.”I should come to learn from you then.”
“You cook?” Becca asked him.
“Yeah, once in a while, depending on my schedule for the day or week.” He responded.
“That would be really nice. I don’t mind teaching you.” She beamed at him.
Only Jason seemed so focused on his food. The rest of us had our heads spinning around the same circle but with different reactions.
When Caleb couldn’t take it anymore, he didn’t bother to show some respect as he barged out of the room. And with the look on Edwina’s face, only the goddess can help me get through the night with my arousal.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 147
Alexander’s POV…
To think that I actually wanted to help and maybe have a little fun at it. Now, everyone thinks I am the villain. The rest of dinner ended up awkward with Caleb’s sudden exit. And here was Edwina digging her heels into the floors like she intended to dent a hole in it.
“Sorry to say this, alpha, but that was so childish of you.” She said as she fumbled with the rope of her dress.
Since we got in about ten minutes ago, all she did was mumble under her breath, probably trying to find the right words to say to me. All the while, I was getting turned by way of her body. I wasn’t really thinking straight anymore; getting my d**k inside of her seemed like the only thing I would like to indulge in.
I threw my hands out, covering my hardness with the duvet as I leaned on the bed frame. “What did I do wrong?”
“How could you invite Caleb and Carlos for dinner? I know you must have been told what transpired between your friend and Becca this morning. But you still decided to act that way.”
There was no way I was going to let the blame shift towards me. I needed to buy her understanding, and it wasn’t far-fetched when I thought of it.
“I don’t seem to understand what you mean by all this.” I tried to look pained, “My team and I have been working hard for days to ensure all of Ben’s men got captured. There was a huge success in our first step today, and I thought the only way I could appreciate them for their effort was to invite them to a homely dinner. We haven’t had a good night’s meal for days.”
I almost ran out of breath at the end of my explanation. My d**k itself was about having a vein pull. I could sense the wheels in Edwina’s head turning. All of a sudden, her angry face changed into that of remorse. I mentally high-fived myself for the brilliance.
She stopped in her track, holding my gaze. “I’m so sorry. I almost forgot how tough it must have been on you all for days now. Sorry for being so insensitive to your feelings. U should apologize to Caleb for being so cold towards him.”
My ears weren’t listening anymore, as my eyes caught sight of her boobs.
“I guess you can make up for that by stripping naked and coming to bed,” I whispered in a seductive way, knowing how much it affected her.
Not wasting a moment, her cloth came down in a jiffy. To think that she had been battling so much with it.
Edwina, like a wild goose, had pulled the covers off me. Her eyes glistened at the sight of my long hard d**k. Her reaction every time drives me crazy. In a flash, her mouth was on me. Her tongue was doing some magic. The stress I had encountered during the day flew out of the window as I held her head in place, letting out silent m***s.
I couldn’t take it anymore; the urge to f**k her was making my wolf impatient. Raising her head, I motioned for her to turn her back to me. Putting one of her legs in between mine, trying not to give off too much movement in my legs. I used my fingers to tickle her clitoris, making her jerk forward. I pushed her up a bit to position her p***y right where my d**k could slide in. Then I took a few seconds to make her wetter by messing around her clit before thrusting into her.
Edwina gasped loudly. Holding her by her waist, I slammed into her enjoying how creamy her p***y felt. Without letting the d**k slip out in one swift movement, I turned her on her chest. Raising her up with a pillow, with my whole body pinning her down while wrapping both of my hands over hers to keep her still. Ramming my entire length into her, Edwina screamed as she hustled to hold on to something. I released her a bit, placing my hands on both sides of the bed as she gripped the duvet tightly. Increasing the pace of my thrust, I gripped her by the shoulders tightly when I was about to climax. She reached her peak first before me with a resonating m**n. I came afterwards, and I could feel fireworks explode all around me as I collapsed into the bed.
I hoped she didn’t notice the movement of my legs too much. I couldn’t help not f*****g her that way. I needed to get a quick release to ease off my stress.
Panting hard with sweat dripping down her body, despite the air conditioner being on full blast. She ran her fingers down my chest, a small smile playing on her lips.
“That seems more like you unleashing a punishment than accepting an apology.” She muttered.
I chuckled softly, “was I that obvious?”
We both stayed quiet, I didn’t know what she was thinking, but my mind was back to figuring a way to catch Ben and the whole of sizzlers pack off guard. I was getting agitated as the day passed, knowing our enemies were still at bay. Even though there clearly was room to be glad about today’s victory. But knowing how smart Ben was, it wouldn’t take him time to figure out danger looms somewhere.
“Is everything okay?” Edwina inquired.
Turning my head lazily towards her, “not really, but I guess we could still keep it under control.” I sighed, trying to change the topic. I was in no mood to talk about it, even though its heavy on my mind. “How is your sister?”
That got her attention, as she blessed me with one of her rare full smiles. “She is fine and also closer to her due date. According to the physician, she should be put to bed in the next few days or probably at the beginning of the new week.”
“That’s good to hear. I’m glad she is fine.”
“All thanks to you.”
I could sense the raw emotions in her statement, but I was too sleepy to respond, mostly because I didn’t know what to say. Grunting some uncertain words, I shut my eyes, trying to lose consciousness as long as nature would let me.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 148
Authors POV…
Digging his paws into the soil, Caleb growled. He had no idea what the dinner was all about. But one thing was certain; even if it would take his life, he would never let Carlos be with Becca. It might sound selfish, but he doesn’t care.
Caleb had driven back to his house like a raging bull, parking the car wrongly. Rather than head back into the house, he headed straight for the woods running as fast as his legs could carry him far into the woods. He had no idea what he was thinking of. Seeing Becca made his heart clench, and he couldn’t gather enough courage to speak to her.
His emotions weren’t in place. There was no exact explanation for what he was feeling. He headed back towards the house after exhausting himself. Caleb’s belly growled in protest. Entering the back of the house, he grabbed a towel from the restroom downstairs to cover up his naked body after shifting, hoping to take a cold shower in his room.
Caleb almost backed into the wall when he found Ramona in his bed completely naked except for the heels and a tiny apron big enough for a five-year-old on her.
Gulping hard, Caleb could feel his d**k reacting to the view in front of him.
“Hey, you.” Ramona cooed, scanning his sweat-covered body.
Uncertain of how he was to react, Caleb gestured towards the bathroom with his thumb. Within two seconds, he had found an escape into the place. His thoughts were in shambles; confusion reeked through him on what he was to do or say to her.
The both of them didn’t exactly have a friendly conversation in the morning. And knowing that he had gone after another woman made him feel guilty having Ramona sitting really pretty in his bed.
Lost in thought, he had been unaware of Ramona’s entry into the bathroom. All through the time he had entered, the shower wasn’t running. He had only remained underneath in a daze.
Ramona stretched her hand at the faucet, making it rain on them. Caleb took in a sharp breath when Ramona caressed his nipples from behind. She smiled to herself at his reaction, moving swiftly in front of him. She stared into his eyes. Not breaking eye contact, she knelt in front of him, taking his d**k in her mouth.
Caleb m****d at the effect; his body shivered with excitement. Holding onto his butt, Ramona pushed all of him inside her throat. He gasped, holding onto the wall for support. She continued torturing him with her mouth.
Pulling her up to himself, Caleb kissed her lightly on the lips before getting down on her breast. With one hand smooching the other, he sucked on the other one. Flicking the nipple with his tongue, his free hand found its way to her dripping p***y. Without much ado, he slipped two fingers inside of her. Ramona m****d loudly, sinking her manicured nails into his bare shoulders. The pleasure was mounting inside him; Caleb removed his fingers from her p***y and rammed his hard d**k inside her. Ramona gasped for breath at the effect. Raising his head, he still smooched her breast and rested on the wall with the other hand. Biting on her neck, he held on to her neck tightly as he kissed her roughly.
The intensity of their s*x always makes his wolf go wild. Relaxing his hold on her breast, he grabbed her a*s, raising it up enough for him to thrust deeper into her. Taking out all of his frustration on her, he gripped her a*s harder, f*****g every of her insides. Ramona’s head bobbed against the tiled wall as she m****d in pain and pleasure. He wasn’t taking it any easy on her as he hit her core with less patience.
He could almost envision Becca in front of him; the more he saw her face, the more Caleb slammed into Ramona harder. The thought of Carlos making her smile and not him made him so furious. Caleb let out his wolf noise as he climaxed.
Ramona’s leg shook hard as he let her go. Since they had been f*****g, he had never gone down on her with so much intensity. She giggled as he rested his head against the wall, caging her in.
“That was tough!” She commented, “didn’t realize you could miss me that much.”
Caleb looked up at her, trying not to bite back a bitter response. Instead, he only nodded his head. “Can I shower alone, please?”
Kissing him on the cheek, “sure baby. Would be waiting for you.” Ramona muttered seductively.
Slapping the wall hard after Ramona left. Caleb wondered why his thoughts were so preoccupied with Becca’s image. He felt bad for acting so animalistic towards Ramona; relief washed through him when she didn’t notice.
Trying to prevent himself from indulging in the thoughts further, Caleb turned off the faucet and stepped out of the bathroom. Ramona had already tucked herself into the duvet.
“Hey.” He muttered in a coarse voice as he got into the bed.
“Hi,” Ramona responded, moving further towards him.
Caleb sighed, pulling her into his embrace, “I’m sorry for the way I acted this morning.”
She nodded sleepily, “I am here now, and we have sorted it. That’s all that matters.”
“So, we are good?”
“Yes.”
“Thanks.” Caleb said sincerely, kissing her forehead.
He had no idea what he was getting himself into at the moment, but he probably could take it one step at a time and let time tell. The most painful aspect of it all was his friendship with Becca going down the drain. He would have to find a way around it and ensure they come to a conclusion. His mind drifted towards Ramona, her breath falling slowly as nature took its course. Caleb has no idea what he feels for her as of present. Before getting involved with Ramona, Caleb thought he was in love with her.
However, it doesn’t seem like actual love anymore. He was drifting away from her as time passed, and it had nothing to do with his involvement with Becca. The thought of what the future held scared him.
His eyes fluttered as the day took a toll on him. Deciding to let sleeping dogs lie, Caleb hugged Ramona to himself tightly, sighing into the night’s peace.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 149
Ben’s POV…
If I could chew off Bethel’s head, I would definitely do it with no remorse. How in the world does someone play so dumb? What alpha doesn’t prepare against emergencies? This is why I would keep saying it; I’m far off a better Alpha than this made-by-birth weakling.
Just when I thought it was right about time for me to attain my victory and conquer the night howler’s pack when they least expected, an epidemic broke out due to alpha Bethel’s recklessness.
One of the prostitutes he brings from outside the pack had a virus named canine distemper. It’s not a recent disease, but it’s rare. It had first broken out in a werewolf pack that had gone extinct about a century before I was born.
It had been made known to be a contagious viral disease. Each pack’s disease control set up is expected to do all it can by being vigilant enough to ensure the rest of the pack members are protected from any sort of illness.
Even though it had been a long while, it broke out again about a decade ago in a far-distant pack whose members were a small population. Every other pack ensured his walls were guided; the night howlers weren’t left out in putting whoever showed just a slight symptom in quarantine.
To think that a whole alpha of a pack as massive as the sizzlers had been insensitive enough to let an unchecked wolf come into his pack was the height of irresponsibility for me.
Canine distemper is so messy; it makes the victim lose the ability to control their shift, make them go blind while also having seizures, and they get killed almost immediately. If she hadn’t been noticed by the driver of the personal car sent by the alpha to bring her down to the packhouse, every one of us, including myself, would have been at risk. The driver had been smart enough to drive down to the disease control centre to have her taken care of. Every other person that got in contact with her from the airport has been quarantined.
And the rest of the pack is asked to stay locked up in their various houses until everything was sure to be fine. There is a cure for it, and every pack guards it relentlessly, a rare flower referred to as the wild purple.
Most reasonable packs had gone in search of it when it resurfaced a decade ago and made a greenhouse for it. I was glad our dear alpha bethel was thoughtful enough to do that.
The bastard had to lie to the pack members that he knew nothing about a foreigner coming into the pack without being tested. I almost blurted out to call him bluff, but I knew better.
Now, he didn’t just ruin all of my plans, but his dumbness will prevent me from getting f****d. Malia has had to stay in the confines of her home, and also just in time when her partner is around.
Staring at his blockhead made my insides churn.
Bethel slapped his forehead, “can’t believe this is happening right now!” He whined, and he had been doing so for almost every passing second.
I wish I could really get him to keep his bloody mouth shut. I was about to die of boredom and had no choice but to join him in the garden. One interesting thing about the packhouse was the availability of a whole lot of people who could indulge in entertaining acts to keep the place lively.
The maids have indulged in some music and dancing to delight their f****d up alpha, who seemed more interested in getting quarantined with his foreign stripper than going down on any of his available maids.
One look at him, you could tell he was talking into major depression. I backed out a laugh, unconsciously trying to restrain myself.
He turned to look at me, “is everything fine, Ben?”
I nodded vigorously, gesturing towards the maids. “I just find them funny.”
“I hate having to sit and be bored out of my mind like this!” Bethel lamented.
I couldn’t care less about the way he was feeling, “how long did they say it would take to lift the restriction?”
“In two weeks.” He responded, sounding bored.
The urge to slam my hands against something came out strong, but I had to control myself. “Fair enough.” I gritted.
“So sorry that we have to shift your plans till then.”
I snorted, glad that he had the sense to apologize. “It’s all good.” I lied through my teeth.
He nodded, staring ahead into space again. I was so not having any of this bullshit. It irked me enough that I couldn’t relieve my stress by having some raging hot s*x. Now I had to put my whole life at a standstill for two weeks. I could still handle the attack plans, but me not having to f**k Malia for the next two weeks.
I could feel myself slipping into actual depression; Malia’s p***y was like a dream come true for me. No one comes near, not even Sonia.
The thought of Sonia got me thinking. There were so many people I needed to deal with. F*****g Jared had not given me any information as regards Sonia and my unborn child. I had no idea if she had given birth or not.
I am definitely changing my right-hand man as soon as this shit is over. Jared has become unreliable, and that is the least kind of person I need on my team.
“What do you think of that maid?” Bethel elbowed me on the side, nodding his head towards a pretty-looking maid.
I didn’t really pay attention to the person he was pointing at as my eyes stayed glued on someone else that I would have never thought I would see.
“Is that Malia?” I said out loud.
“What?” Bethel inquired with a raised brow.
“Oh, don’t mind me.” I replied, standing up. I nodded towards him. “Give me a moment please. I would be back.”
Even though I doubted if I would return to his side if my eyes weren’t deceiving me. I just couldn’t help not saying it.
Moving through the silent hallway, I felt a hand drag me to the side. Lo and behold, it was no other person but Malia.
I grinned, “I really would like to ask how you made it out here. But that would be for later.” I muttered, taking in her mouth hungrily.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 150
Alexander’s POV…
I was practically giggling like an excited five-year-old to the annoyance of Caleb. I thought it was of general knowledge that when you are angry at night, the morning comes with a new day and all, your anger dissipates, and you become brand new.
Nothing in this world applies to Caleb, and it really sucks. He came into the office looking beat as if he would really love to wipe me off the earth if given a chance to.
I didn’t do anything wrong; everyone was just acting weird. I could have sworn Becca had her nose up when she greeted me this morning. Their sour mood had almost put me into a recluse but seems like the goddess was on my side. I came to the office to a piece of good news, it might be considered bad to others, but it made me really happy.
If glares could cut a hole through one’s body or heart, Caleb’s would have definitely ripped tons of it through me.
“Can you quit staring at me that way? You look like an outdated version of the boogieman.” I blinked.
He squinted his eyes, having a closer look at him. You would think he aged ten years more overnight. I would really love to see Caleb when he becomes an old wolf. He definitely would look really ugly.
That made me laugh out like a maniac again. Good s*x, good sleep, some freaking good news and a not-so-good-looking old friend could make your day just like mine.
Whatever it was I indulged in certainly isn’t okay, by Caleb. This young man would murder me if he could.
“What the hell did you smoke this morning?” Caleb’s gruff voice bellowed.
“Some p***y.” I roared in laughter at my own joke. But it dwindled almost immediately when the bastard didn’t find it funny and still had the devious look on his face.
“Why are you so immune to happiness, Caleb?”
He sat still rigidly, “you could explain it to me, since you are having fun on someone’s misery.”
“What misery?” I was a bit confused now.
“Why the f**k did you invite Carlos over?”
“What!” I exclaimed in horror. “Did you really go to sleep and wake up with the thought of grilling me this morning?”
“Answer the damn question Xander!”
I pouted, “is that a threat?”
Caleb squinted his eyes again. To think that he knows really well that I could never get affected by his reaction and him still going ahead to do so made me surrender. The imp really has some guts in him.
“I could sue you for assault, Caleb.” I tried to sound pained, but it came out as a chuckle.
Raising a stern brow at me, “you still haven’t answered.”
“Fine!” I huffed, “I thought that could be our celebration dinner after yesterday’s achievement.” I told the same make-believe lie I had told Edwina.
Shaking his head, Caleb scoffed. “how many people did you fool with that story?”
“My wife.” I grinned.
“You crazy alpha!” His outburst sounded more like a whimper. “You and I were both here yesterday, and you never for once got me prepared for the coming of Carlos.”
I held my jaw, having a rethink, “hmm, the coming of Carlos seems like a legendary word.”
“I could really smother your neck right now.” He glared.
“Would only result in me giggling, since your palms would only end up tickling me.”
“What the f**k!” Caleb looked obviously frustrated.
I laughed crazily, “I am sorry man. I am really sorry.” I muttered.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
Sitting up now, “I want the others to get here before I would be announcing anything.”
The moment I finished the sentence, a slight knock was heard on the door, and its opening gave way to Carlos and Jason. They both looked sharp; the long night’s rest seemed to have done everyone of us good except Caleb, of course.
Carlos exchanged a look that I know all too well with Jason. He could sense Caleb wasn’t in a good mood too. But frankly speaking, Caleb is hardly in a good mood.
“Good morning alpha.” The both of them chorused with a bow, taking their seat.
“Good morning, beta.” Only Jason’s voice seemed clearer. Carlos must have grumbled his greeting.
“How are you both doing? Thanks for coming.” I said to them, and Caleb only nodded in response.
I should get him a head warmer. His brain obviously has a problem with being cool.
“Thanks for dinner yesterday, alpha. I had a really good time.”
Not again, Carlos, I almost pleaded. It was obvious Carlos didn’t appreciate me out of his good heart. He only wanted it to serve as a reminder to Caleb of how it went down yesterday. But it seemed like the goddess had touched Caleb’s heart; he didn’t make a sound in his seat. Proud of my boy!
“I have good news to share with us all,” I told them, making Carlos and Jason move to the edge of their seats, eager to hear me out. The bad egg in our midst thought otherwise, though.
I continued, nonetheless. “So, I got informed by the a good friend of mine in the alpha council that the sizzlers pack are on lockdown at the moment for the next two weeks due to the break out of canine distemper.”
“Wow!” Jason muttered, “how did that happen?”
“You know how reckless alpha bethel can be.” Caleb said his first full sentence since Carlos and Jason came in.
“Does that mean more time for us?” Carlos inquired.
“Yes, also, it’s more time to be vigilant. Caleb, I need you to ensure the pack gates are well guarded and the disease control team should be on high alert to ensure we don’t have a breakout and all homes should be sanitized too. Aside that, I need all hands on deck. Two weeks lockdown for sizzlers implied two weeks of rigorous attack planning for us. We are getting on their tail In the next two weeks and bringing all this mess to an end!”
I felt like a demigod giving such a lengthy statement in one go. I had expected a round of applause, but they all stared at me like I had grown some horns.
