The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 11

“By the way, Leon, I remember seeing the man stab you with a dagger last night. Are you…alright? Would you like me to take you to the hospital?” Iris asked concernedly.

She remembered having a clear view of the man stabbing Leon in the chest with the dagger, but strangely enough, Leon was alive and well as if nothing happened to him at all.

Iris began to doubt if she saw it that time.

“I’m fine. My injury is fine.”

Leon touched his chest subconsciously, but he accidentally made contact with the wound. He frowned in pain as a result and could not help but let out a groan.

“What’s wrong? Does it hurt? Okay, we’re going to the hospital right now!”

Iris stood up abruptly and had a nervous expression on her face.

“It’s not that painful. The pain lasts for only a little while, and it disappears almost as quickly as it arrives. I don’t think there’s a need to go to the hospital.”

The pain gradually lessened as Leon rubbed it back and forth a couple of times.

He wanted to take off his clothes to check on his injury, but he felt embarrassed to do so in front of Iris.

“Take off your clothes and show me how bad it is.”

Iris was still worried.

“But…”

Leon was incredibly shy and it was a little awkward of him to be taking his clothes off in front of a girl.

“Just hurry up and take them off!” Iris urged.

She practically ignored the fact that Leon was a man—he was young and full of vigor too!

Leon comforted himself by saying that there was nothing to be shy about if she did not mind!

With that thought, he gritted his teeth and took off his shirt to reveal his slim and sturdy figure.

Iris leaned forward to take a look and saw that the wound on Leon’s chest already formed a scar. Worse still, the scar was unsightly, like a five-centimeter-long centipede, and anyone who saw it would feel chills down their spine.

“How can you say that it doesn’t hurt when the scar is this huge?!”

Iris reached out instinctively and touched the scar on Leon’s chest. her nose then became sour, and tears began welling in her eyes.

One could easily imagine how she felt after seeing the scar that remained of Leon’s heroics when saving her the last night.

The next moment, however, a curious scene appeared.

With Iris’s touch, the scars began to peel off bit by bit, revealing fresh baby-like pink skin underneath.

Iris was dumbfounded. It would usually take at least a month or two for scars to fully form and disappear, yet that was exactly what happened even though it had only been less than a day since the wound was first inflicted. Amazingly, there were no traces of the scar on his new skin.

It was simply unbelievable.

Confused, Iris continued to rub on the scar, moving very gently until everything gradually fell off. Any traces of the scar that was once there was absent from the new skin underneath, and it was almost as if Leon was never injured at all.

Iris’s mind went blank.

Leon, on the other hand, blushed!

Iris’s fair hands were soft and delicate, and they rubbed back and forth on his chest like the strokes of a lover.

A young, healthy man could not endure such touches!

His body tensed up immediately and his heart thumped wildly. He was so nervous that he was practically on the verge of suffocating.

“What the hell are you two doing?!” an angry voice shouted at that moment.

A square-faced, imposing middle-aged man in his fifties walked into the room.

A gorgeous 36- or 37-year-old woman clung intimately to him. She looked rather charming, albeit with a rather generous application of makeup.

She wore a red tight-fitting dress with a plunging neckline. Her figure was ridiculously good, and she moved her hips with a touch of allure.

“Dad? Why are you here?”

Iris was startled, and only then did she realize that she had one hand on Leon’s bare chest.

It was a rather indecent sight.

Iris’s dainty cheeks turned scarlet in an instant, and she retracted her hand as if she touched a live wire.

Leon was no better and he hurriedly put on his clothes.

Both Leon and Iris blushed as if they were caught in flagrante delicto.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 12

“If I hadn’t come here, I wouldn’t have discovered that you’re raising some uncultured man at home!” the middle-aged man reprimanded coldly.

“Who are you calling uncultured?! Why do you have to say something so hurtful? Leon’s my friend. Nothing is going on between us!”

Iris showed her displeasure.

“Are you honestly telling us there’s nothing between you two when you touched him like that? Who are you fooling? Can’t you have a little dignity during the day, Iris? You might as well just get it on in the yard!” the gorgeous woman smiled sarcastically.

“It’s none of your business! I can do whatever I want, and you have no right to order me around!”

Iris glared at her, and the animosity between them was already starting to intensify.

“Gilbert, look at her! She’s being cheeky, and rude!”

The gorgeous woman shook the arm of the middle-aged man with a pretentiously pouty expression.

“What’s gotten into you, Iris? Whether you like it or not, Daisy is still your mother. How can you talk to her with that kind of attitude!” Gilbert scolded.

“She’s not my mother! My mother died twenty years ago! She’s just a little wench who slept her way to being your wife. What gives her the right to be my mother!” Iris sneered.

“Did you hear that, Gilbert? She called me a wench!” the delicate Daisy said with a sob.

“You’re being disrespectful! And rebellious!”

Gilbert was furious and he raised his palm intending to slap Iris.

“Go ahead! No one in the family cares about me since Mom died. Grandpa’s the only one who gives a damn! Why don’t you just kill me and be done with it!”

Iris had a stubborn expression and refused to give in.

“How dare you…”

Gilbert trembled with anger. He focused all his attention on Daisy and her son over the years, and he retracted his hand when he thought of how he did not do enough for his daughter.

“It’s about time that you consider marriage, Iris, and I have no objections if you have a boyfriend! However, given the background of our family, you should at least get a boyfriend that is worthy of your status!”

Gilbert quelled his anger, pointed at Leon, and said contemptuously, “Take a good look at this man. His clothing is just about as tattered as a beggar’s! Is he the kind of man that is fit to be your boyfriend?”

“I’ve already told you that Leon is my friend, not my boyfriend! And he’s not a beggar either!”

Iris was incredibly unhappy.

“You’re both practically living together. What else could he be if he isn’t your boyfriend? Do you take me and your father for fools?”

Daisy sneered with a contemptuous expression. “You’ve maintained quite the facade of purity all these years. There are rumors that you’re still a virgin, so you can understand how surprised I am that your private life is such a mess! Just how low have you fallen to be in a relationship with someone as miserable-looking as him!”

That remark angered Iris and she began spouting out all sorts of nonsense.

“You… Fine, I admit. Leon’s my boyfriend, and I’m in love with him! There! Happy now?”

Iris fumed after being ridiculed by Daisy, so she decided to grab Leon’s arm and act all lovey-dovey with him.

Leon was dumbfounded. He stared wide-eyed at Iris and felt overwhelmed by what happened.

“Oh? Are you finally admitting it now?” Daisy sneered.

Gilbert’s face turned ashen before reddening in anger. He took out the check, wrote down a random number, and threw it directly to Leon’s face. “I don’t care who you are or where you came from, Kid, but I won’t let Iris be associated with you! Here’s seven hundred thousand. Take the money and leave my daughter immediately! And if you dare to pester her again in the future, I can guarantee that you’ll die without anyone ever knowing!”

Leon gulped and watched eagerly as the check fell to the ground.

Seven hundred thousand was an astronomical sum for a person who did not have any money!

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 13

However, Leon was aware that he could not take the money because it was not his.

“It’s always money with you. Do you think having money makes you so great? I already told you that I like Leon. I won’t marry anyone else except for him! There’s no way I’ll let you separate us, not even over my dead body!” Iris retorted.

Growing up, she never received any fatherly love ever since her mother passed away. Whenever she needed him most, her father would merely placate her by giving her money. It long reached a point where she was fed up with him!

“Alright, suit yourself! I’m going to find your grandpa now!”

Gilbert’s face was ashen with anger and he turned around to leave.

Over the years, the estrangement between father and daughter worsened, and their relationship has deteriorated as the years went by.

With his daughter all grown up and having both her own company and career, he could not control her even if he wanted to.

The only person in the family who can influence his daughter to change her mind is probably the old man.

Iris watched as Gilbert and Daisy left her sight before sitting back down on the sofa with a sour expression.

Leon opened his mouth to comfort Iris, but he was never good with words and so did not know what to say.

Some long later, Iris’s mood gradually calmed down.

“I’m sorry, Leon. I said all that just to piss off my dad and Daisy. I didn’t intend to use you as a shield. I hope you don’t mind,” Iris said apologetically.

“I know… and I don’t mind…” Leon said resoundingly.

Iris was the Youngs’ eldest young lady, unlike a divorcee like him.

He was also famously known as a good-for-nothing who had no parents and lacked any prospects in life.

The gap between the two of them was like the difference between the earth and the sky.

He never hoped that Iris would like him for real, and he almost certainly did not have to expect anything unrealistic from her.

“I’m going to take a shower first…” Leon remained silent for a moment before leaving the living room in a haste…

After taking his shower, Leon changed into the high-end clothes that Iris bought for him, and his entire character instantly became so much fresher than before. There was a tremendous improvement in his outlook too, almost several times that of before.

Iris’s eyes lit up instinctively when he looked at Leon again.

As the saying went, clothes make the man.

Leon’s appearance was not too bad in itself, so the suit he wore made him look more elegant, almost like a top dog in the workplace or a domineering male CEO.

Generally speaking, Leon’s appearance fell into the category of the attractive type. He might not stand out much at first glance, but he looked even more handsome with each passing look and possessed a unique masculine charm.

At that point, the nanny, Jenny, prepared lunch in the kitchen after coming back from a brief grocery run.

Iris moved out of her family home and lived alone ever since she graduated from university.

Rather than staying alone at the villa, she hired a nanny named Jenny to take care of the place.

After lunch, Iris asked, “Leon, my grandfather knows that you rescued me last night and he wishes to see you. Would it be convenient for you right now?”

“Sure.”

Leon nodded and left with Iris.

The Youngs’ manor was a large, typical old-style mansion that was situated in the middle of a garden.

Inside the main hall, Leon followed Iris and met Elder Young—the head of the Youngs.

The 70-something Elder Young sat at the hall’s main seat. He seemed to have a very kind character, but at the same time, he possessed a calm and somewhat indifferent aura of an elite who remained a prominent figure throughout the years.

Elder Young’s health has been deteriorating in the past two years, the cause of which was likely his old age. It got worse day after day.

He thus decided to take a back seat and hand over management of the company’s affairs to his son Gilbert.

Even so, he remained the patriarch and the Youngs’ spiritual pillar.

As long as he was alive, the foundation of the Youngs will continue to remain firm, unwavering, and rock solid!

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 14

Aside from Elder Young, Gilbert and Daisy also sat beside him in the hall.Gilbert continued to glare coldly at Leon, as the incident in the villa already gave him a very bad first impression.

By contrast, Elder Young had a friendly attitude. He even ordered his servants to pour some tea and water for Leon without showing any hint of contempt or disdain.

“Let me introduce you to Leon, Grandpa. He’s the one who saved me last night…”

Iris then recounted the entire story.

“Thank you very much for saving my granddaughter’s life, Leon. We’ll always remember your kindness! A person’s grace, no matter how small, shall always be returned in kind! Tell me, is there anything you’d like? Our family will do our best to fulfill your wishes.”

Elder Young smiled cordially.

“Thank you, but I don’t want anything…”

Leon shook his head.

He rescued Iris the previous night out of a genuine sense of justice. He never thought about getting in return, and besides, he theoretically rewarded himself as soon as he saved her.

Moreover, Iris already helped restore some of his dignity by teaching Brody a lesson on his behalf in the Civil Records Office.

They were already even.

“Are you sure? Think clearly. Once you miss this train, you won’t be able to get on it again…”

Elder Young put down the teacup in his hand and a stern glimmer unconsciously flashed in his eyes.

He did not know if Leon was genuinely not expecting anything in return, or if he tried to milk the situation to his advantage, for example, by taking the opportunity to associate himself with their family.

“I’m sure. I don’t want anything…”

Leon still shook his head. He was about to say something when he laid eyes on Elder Young’s face.

He was unsure whether it was some kind of illusion, but he could vaguely see a few wisps of grayish-white aura and greenish-purple tinges on Elder Young’s forehead and lip corners, respectively.

Seconds later, an unfamiliar memory flooded into his mind—a grayish aura on the forehead was the sign of life at risk of death, while greenish-purple tinges on the corner of one’s lips signified a serious illness!

Leon was stunned by the memory and jolted awake right away! It seemed to be some sort of inherited memories left by his ancestor the previous night.

He almost forgot about them because he had no time to delve deeper into those memories since the previous night’s incident.

However, those memories have been deeply etched into his mind, and it came to the fore like a warning that was automatically issued when the time was right.

“Why do you look spaced out, Leon?”

Iris immediately sensed that something was not right with Leon, so she nudged his arm right away.

“Elder Young, the space between your eyebrows is glowing gray and the corners of your lips are tainted purple. You’re going to pass on soon…” Leon blurted out.

“What?!”

Leon’s words were like a nuclear bomb that stunned Iris and the others silly.

Elder Young even choked on the tea he sipped and spurted it all out.

“Try to at least show some sincerity, Kid. My father has been kind enough to invite you over here, but the first thing you do is curse him to his death! Are you trying to piss us off?” Gilbert roared and slammed his fists on the table before standing up.

Elder Young’s face sank too. He earlier suspected Leon of rejecting the offer to gain something more, and it seemed that his suspicions were being proven right. Leon did appear to be playing some tricks, although it was as yet unknown what kind of trick he was playing.

At that moment, the slight affection he had for Leon vanished immediately.

“What’s gotten into you, Leon? My grandpa is perfectly healthy. What nonsense are you talking about?!”

Iris also looked at Leon unhappily.

“I… I could be mistaken. Sorry, I didn’t mean to…”

Leon’s face turned red and he immediately apologized. Deep down, he berated himself for being such a blabbermouth.

“It’s fine. This may well just be a misunderstanding…”

Elder Young’s expression softened a little, but his impression of Leon became extremely bad.

Had Leon not saved Iris’s life, the old man would have gotten someone to kick Leon out.

It was then that the sound of hurried trotting resonated through the hall. A housekeeper rushed right in.

“The great Holy Doctor, Graham Elliot, is here…”

“Let him in,” Elder Young said quickly.

In less than a minute, a gray-haired, 60- or 70-year-old man walked in with his assistant.

“Graham, please take your seat!”

Elder Young was greeted by several people, all of whom addressed him with respect and politeness.

The man, Graham Elliot, was an eminent medical authority in Springfield City. He was a master of medicine and pressure point treatment, reaching the heights of perfection in his achievements. His level of mastery in both conventional and alternative medicine was unusually high, which earned him the title of Holy Doctor and the moniker, Pressure Point King!

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 15

In terms of identity, background, or family business, Graham was far inferior to such a renowned family as the Youngs. When it came to reputation and status, however, he was at least on par with Elder Young.

After all, anyone who fell ill would acknowledge him as the premier doctor in Springfield City. Many rich and powerful individuals have sought him out to treat them.

“I hope you’ll excuse me for interrupting you all of a sudden, Elder Young. I wanted to reassess your condition…”

Graham cupped his hands and smiled.

Elder Young suffered a sudden illness half a month ago, where his chest felt tight and he had difficulty breathing.

Graham was the one who cured Elder Young’s disease back then.

At that time, the two of them agreed that another review would be held in half a month, and if there no issues appeared in that later review, then the condition could be deemed completely cured.

“Thank you for taking the trouble, Graham.”

“You’re more than welcome, Elder Young. This is a must.”

After a few simple courtesies, Graham motioned for Elder Young to sit down. He then started by taking Elder Young’s pulse while checking the latter’s complexion once in a while.

Graham’s face slowly became stern.

Gilbert’s heart skipped a beat, and he could not help but ask, “How is my father’s complexion, Graham?”

“Elder Young’s complexion doesn’t look very good. His forehead has a grayish aura, and his lip corners are greenish-purple. This seems to be an ominous sign…” Graham frowned.

“Grayish aura on his forehead?”

“Greenish-purple lip corners?”

Everyone else, including Gilbert, was shocked to hear those remarks. They immediately turned to look in Leon’s direction.

They remembered clearly that Leon said the same thing earlier!

“There’s nothing to worry about though. Elder Young’s pulse is normal, so everything should be fine…” Graham comforted.

“That’s good.”

Gilbert breathed a sigh of relief along with everyone else.

Although the conclusion Leon reached earlier was completely different from that of Graham’s, they would almost certainly lean more toward Graham because the latter was a master of medicine.

“How about I use some equipment to carefully check Elder Young again to make sure that everything is alright?”

Graham pondered for a while.

Gilbert nodded. “Sure. We have some upstairs. Most of them are the latest advancements in technology.”

Graham, Gilbert, and everyone else went upstairs. Iris followed along too because she was worried about her grandfather’s health.

Leon, on the other hand, was the only one left standing awkwardly in the hall, since it was neither appropriate to go with them nor leave.

Not long later, Graham, Gilbert, and the others came back down.

“Everything was normal when I examined him earlier. Perhaps I was simply overthinking. Your poor complexion might just be a loss of vigor and blood, so I’ll prescribe something to replenish them. Take it for a few days and observe what’s wrong.”

After Graham gave the prescription to Elder Young, he bid farewell and prepared to leave.

Elder Young opened his mouth to say something, but a sharp pain stabbed his heart and he began to cough violently. Within seconds, his vision went black and he fell to the ground.

“Dad! Are you alright?”

Gilbert was shocked by what happened and immediately carried Elder Young up. Only then did he realize that Elder Young’s eyes were closed, evidently because he passed out.

“Graham, what’s going on?! Why did my grandfather suddenly faint…” Iris asked anxiously.

“It… It can’t be! Don’t worry, I’ll take his pulse.”

Graham was just as surprised, and he immediately squatted down to check Elder Young’s pulse.

Elder Young had a strong and normal pulse earlier but that had since turned weak and arhythmic. Even his heartbeat weakened considerably, and his life was at risk.

“His situation is very bad. I’ll need to give him some pressure point treatment!”

Graham truly lived up to his name as a master of alternative medicine and remained calm in the face of a crisis. He rubbed his hands together and proceeded to do pressure point treatment on the old man.

His dexterity was second to none, and he first applied pressure to the Inner Channel Point before proceeding to the Divine Entrance Point…

“Wait a moment! You can’t do it like that! You’ll only kill the old man!”

Just as Graham was about to apply pressure on the, he was suddenly stopped by the nearby Leon.

“And you are?”

Graham glanced unhappily at Leon and felt offended that he was being questioned by some wet-behind-the-ears nobody.

“I think the first point you should apply pressure on should be the Middle Chest Point, followed by the Soul Palace Point…

A picture of the human body’s pressure point treatment points appeared in Leon’s mind and he unconsciously repeated it.

“Middle Chest Point and Soul Palace Point? Are you insane?”

Those two pressure points were known to be deadly pressure points in pressure point treatment. Not even the gods could save a person who had pressure applied to those points.

Graham wondered if Leon tried to save or kill the old man!

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 16

“It’s a fatal point of the human body!” Graham frowned, feeling like this person must have just read some half-baked medical books and wanted to get some credit. The person probably did not know that it was something fatal.

“Brat, what are you saying? The Middle Chest Point and the Soul Palace point can both be fatal. How could you just use them like that? Do you even know your anatomy?!” Graham’s assistant berated Leon.

“I guess you just came here after learning some half-baked medical skills to show off? Let me tell you, people like you are what’s causing alternative healers to get such a bad reputation in the country!” Even Leon’s morals were attacked at that point.

Leon wanted to say something else, but he was quickly interrupted by Iris.

“Leon, my grandfather’s life is in danger right now. Graham is trying to save him, so please don’t cause any trouble!” Iris said unhappily.

Even though Leon saved Iris’ life, it did not mean Leon could do whatever he pleased when he was with the Youngs!

Furthermore, her grandfather’s life was at stake at the moment. She could not allow Leon to make a mess of things!

“Brat, if you cause any more trouble, I’ll have you kicked out of here this instant!” Gilbert glared at Leon angrily.

Leon opened his mouth to speak but swallowed back his words in the end.

Graham shifted away his attention from Leon as he fully focused on himself, continuing to treat Elder Young.

Elder Young suddenly shook violently in his state of unconsciousness. His face gradually gained a bloody hue, looking like blood was about to ooze out of his face. It looked incredibly scary.

His breathing suddenly turned weak and erratic, even his heartbeat started to get irregular, as if it was about to stop.

Seeing that, even Iris and Gilbert, who were not versed in medicine, knew that the situation did not look great.

“His blood is flowing in the wrong direction!

“H-how is this possible?!” Graham’s expression changed immensely. He did not even dare to continue his treatment.

He knew very well that, if he continued, the blood that was flowing in the wrong direction could very well assault Elder Young’s weakened heart, causing Elder Young to die on the spot!

“Graham, what’s happening…” Gilbert asked in a panic.

“I’m sorry, I’ve done everything I could. I’ve been a doctor for more than forty years, but I’ve never seen an illness as strange as Elder Young’s. Please forgive me for not being able to help…” Graham sighed.

“What? You…” Gilbert was furious. He almost lost himself and berated Graham on the spot.

However, he considered Graham’s reputation as one of the best doctors in the country. Graham was respected by many, so he swallowed back his words in the end.

“Graham, please figure out a way. You have to save my grandfather…” Iris pleaded.

“I’m sorry, there is nothing I can do to help…”

“You should start getting his affairs in order…” Graham bitterly shook his head.

“How did this happen? My grandfather was fine just now…” Iris’s face was completely pale. She stumbled and fell to the ground with tears in her eyes.

Her mother passed away quite early, and her father was always more focused on Daisy and Daisy’s son.

Since she was young, the only one who kept her company and cared about her was her grandfather. Her grandfather was the person she was the closest to.

Hearing the bad news, it was obvious how sad and helpless she felt.

Leon walked forward and helped Iris up, wanting to say something before he stopped.

Earlier, he did not get a great response when he said a few things. He got scared away from that and did not dare to say much anymore.

However, when he saw how broken Iris looked, he could not stand it anymore. After hesitating for a moment, he said softly, “Maybe I can give it a try.”

“You want to try?”

Everyone was stunned as they all turned to look at Leon at the same time, wondering if they misheard.

“Yes! Elder Young’s life might be in incredible danger at the moment, but there’s still a chance to save him. I might be able to save him…” Leon said after summoning up the courage.

The moment he said that, everyone was completely silent. The tension in the atmosphere could be cut with a knife.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 17

“What a joke! Even Graham, the Holy Doctor, couldn’t cure Elder Young’s illness. Who do you think you are? What can you possibly do? Do you think your skills are better than Graham’s?!” Graham’s assistant mocked.

“You’re just completely delusional!”

Graham frowned as he measured Leon before saying,

Are you a doctor as well?”

“I’m not a doctor…” Leon shook his head.

“I

“You’re not even a doctor. How dare you speak so much nonsense?! Even if you’re a doctor, there’s no way you’d be good enough to cure anyone at your age. You’re just trying to stand out and get attention. What a clown!”

Gilbert was furious as he viciously glared at Leon.

Sure enough, Leon was mocked again.

“That’s not completely certain! The moment Leon met grandfather, he said that grandfather’s life was in danger!

Also, he mentioned that Graham hit the wrong points when Graham treated grandfather just now. It’s just that none of us believed in him! Yet, it’s clear that he was right!” Iris remembered what happened earlier, and her head slowly got clearer. She suddenly had some hope in her eyes.

“Now, he’s saying he can save grandfather. He might be able to!”

“That…” Gilbert fell silent, not saying anything.

However, he quickly reacted by snorting, “He just had a few lucky guesses. This doesn’t prove anything!”

“In the end, he’s not a doctor. I won’t allow him to recklessly treat your grandfather!”

“Grandfather’s condition is already like this. Do you want

to just look on as he slowly dies? Graham said he can’t treat grandfather anyway. Why don’t we let Leon try?! He might be able to pull off a miracle!” Iris argued

vehemently. She was incredibly resolved.

Gilbert’s expression was incredibly uncertain. He knew that his daughter tried everything out of desperation, but he did not have a better idea either.

“Mr. Young, since this guy says he has a way, let him try it out! I want to expand my horizons and see how skilled he is!” Gilbert said plainly.

He was in the field of medicine for many years and was never someone prideful. It was just that Leon was far too young, and Leon was not even a doctor.

L

Even the Holy Doctor could not cure Elder Young‘s strange illness. He could not believe that Leon would be able to!

LLLLL

“Brat, I’ll trust in you just this once! If you can‘t cure him or if you try any tricks, then don‘t blame me for not being polite!” Gilbert coldly snorted, not stopping Leon anymore.

WA

“Leon, please help my grandfather. Please make sure you cure him,” Iris pleaded with a sad look on her face. Leon was the only hope she had left!

I

– “I’ll do my best…” Leon seemed relaxed when he said

that, but he was not confident at all. After that, he walked in front of Graham.

TLT

LLLL

“Graham, may I borrow some gloves?” Graham nodded.

Under his instruction, the assistant reluctantly handed

some gloves to Leon.

Leon put on the gloves and took a deep breath. In his

mind, a map of the pressure points appeared. He started

to hit the pressure point in front of Elder Young’s chest.

“The Middle Chest Point, the Soul Palace Point, the

Energy Sea Point…

“All these pressure points are fatal pressure points on the

human body. They’ll kill you if hit incorrectly!

“It looks like it’ll be hard for Elder Young to survive this!”

The assistant mocked.

Graham shook his head as well, disappointed at Leon’s

haphazard treatment. After that, he seemed to suddenly remember something. His expression changed and he

even started to breathe a little quicker, “Could this strange technique be… The Six Points of Fate of legend?”

Six Points of Fate can change one’s destiny!

As long as the patient was still breathing, they could be brought back to life!

Graham read many books and manuals before. He saw records about the Six Points of Fate in an ancient medical

journal.

The Six Points of Fate targeted the fatal pressure points, fighting fire with fire to save lives!

However, the mystical technique was lost for centuries.

No one ever saw it.

Graham was shocked as he stared right at Leon’s technique.

It was said that the Six Points of Fate needed to be done with internal energy. It was a very incredible technique in ancient medicine!

However, Leon’s actions did not seem to have any power or inner strength to them. His movements were also very

amateurish. He did not look like he was using internal energy at all!

For the moment, Graham was incredibly uncertain. He could not tell if it was the mystical Six Points of Fate!

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 18

After the treatment, Leon was completely pale. Sweat beads formed on his head as he sat on the floor. He almost fainted from his exhaustion.

He was still not a true doctor. He could not use his internal power with his treatment. He barely managed to perform the treatment by relying on that unknown energy in his body.

“Cough!” At that moment, Elder Young suddenly responded . He abruptly opened his eyes and spat out a few mouthfuls of blood. He quickly stained his clothes and the floor red.

Right after that, Elder Young shut his eyes, not moving at all. Even his breathing stopped. It was like he died!

“Grandfather…”

“Dad…”

EL

Iris and Gilbert both exclaimed at the same time. They let out a cry of agony as they ran over to Elder Young.

“I knew this guy was just trying to stand out and show off. I didn’t know he would end up causing all this

trouble. He ended up costing Elder Young his life. The world is getting worse because of people like you!” The assistant shook his head. He knew that this would be the

result of Leon’s recklessness, so he was not surprised.

Graham shook his head in regret as well. He thought that Leon was using the Six Points of Fate, but it seemed like

he was just overthinking it!

“Leon, it’s all your fault! You killed my father!” Gilbert was furious as he grabbed Leon’s collar. He pulled the

thin Leon up from the floor. His eyes were red with anger.

He wanted to kill Leon on the spot.

Even though Elder Young was on the brink of death, he was at least still breathing. As long as he did not die, they

still had a sliver of hope.

However, thanks to Leon’s reckless treatment, even that hope was taken away!

The anger in Gilbert’s heart was understandable.

“Men! Take this man away! He killed Elder Young. Take him to the police immediately!” Gilbert shouted angrily, and several security guards ran in from outside.

After that, he captured Leon like he was a criminal.

“I…” Leon’s face was pale, not knowing what to do.

“Grandfather…” Iris started crying. She was filled with regret and disappointment.

She already investigated Leon before this. Leon was a part of the Mansons for three years and was regarded as

useless the whole time. He had no talents, so how could he know medicine?!

She should not have trusted Leon. Otherwise, her

grandfather would not have died!

It was already too late for her to regret anything!

At that moment, Elder Young suddenly let out a few intense coughs as he slowly woke up.

Graham and his assistant were dumbfounded at the sight.

Even Iris and Gilbert were stunned.

Even Leon himself was shocked.

They never would have expected that Elder Young would miraculously be alive after he died earlier!

“Grandfather, y–you‘re alright? That‘s amazing!” Iris was the first to react. She hurriedly helped Elder Young up as she cried emotionally.

“Dad, how do you feel right now? Gilbert rushed over emotionally as well.

“What happened?!” Elder Young frowned as he looked at the mess in front of him. After that, he looked at the bruise on his chest and seemed to realize something.

He looked at Graham and said gratefully, “Graham, you are a Holy Doctor. Thank you for saving me!”

Graham felt incredibly awkward. He did not know what to say at that moment.

“Grandfather, it wasn‘t Graham that saved you. Leon was the one who saved you…” As Iris said that, she suddenly

remembered that Leon was captured by their security guards.

||

She hurried over and pushed a few of the guards aside, What are you standing there for? Hurry up and let Leon go!”

Leon finally regained his freedom and breathed a sigh of

relief internally.

“Leon, I’m sorry. We misunderstood you just now…” Iris hurriedly apologized to Leon. Her face was red and she

felt incredibly embarrassed.

“It’s fine. What’s important is that Elder Young is awake,

“Leon said.

Iris still felt incredibly bad about it. Leon saved her grandfather, yet the Youngs repaid his kindness with contempt. They almost hurt Leon.

Yet, Leon did not complain at all. He did not seem to have any intentions of blaming them at all.

She was deeply moved by his kindness.

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 19

“What exactly happened?” Elder Young was in a daze. He just woke up from his state of unconsciousness, so he had

no idea what happened.

“This is what happened…” Iris walked over and told Elder Young everything.

Elder Young was shocked. He sent a slap right at Gilbert,

berating him, “You idiot, what did you do?! Leon tried to

save me out of the kindness of his heart. It doesn’t matter if he managed to cure me or not, he still tried his best.

How could you repay his kindness like that?! Hurry up and apologize to him!”

Gilbert did not like Leon after everything that happened,

but with his father’s threats, he reluctantly walked over

and said, “Leon, I was wrong for doing what I did just now. I’m sorry…”

“Mister Young, you’re being too polite. It was just a small misunderstanding. Everything is fine,” Leon said in a

hurry.

At that moment, Graham walked over as well. Graham gave Leon a bow, “Young man, I‘m sorry for being impolite just now! Your medical skills are amazing. They are practically miraculous. You have earned my deepest respect! Also, can I ask you if what you used earlier was the Six Points of Fate? The technique has been lost for centuries.”

The moment he mentioned the Six Points of Fate, Graham had an incredibly excited look on his face.

His assistant was in a state of disbelief. He looked at Leon incredulously.

“What‘s the Six Points of Fate? I‘ve never heard of it before,” Leon was surprised at Graham‘s questions. All he did earlier was strike at the points that were reflected in his mind. He did not know what that technique was called.

“Then where did you learn that technique, as well as your

medical skills?” Graham was confused. “I–It was inherited…” Leon said hesitantly.

He did get all those memories from an ancestor of the

Wolfs, so it was not wrong calling it an inheritance.

Seeing as Leon seemed to be trying to hide something,

Graham did not continue pressing the matter. Leon did

not use any internal energy when he treated Elder Young

as well, so Graham could not tell if it was the Six Points of

Fate.

However, there was something he was sure of. The fact

that Leon was able to treat Elder Young’s strange illness

meant that Leon’s medical knowledge was incredibly

deep. At least, Leon should be just as good as him.

“Young man, this is my name card. If you’re interested,

we can talk about medicine in the future,” Graham

handed Leon his name card.

After that, he bid farewell to Elder Young before leaving

with his assistant.

“Leon, you didn’t just save Iris, you saved me as well.

From now on, you’re a valued guest of the Youngs. You’re

also a great benefactor of ours! Tell me, what do you

want? Just say it!” Elder Young said gratefully. He was a

lot more sincere than before.

“There’s no need. You don’t have to be so courteous. I don’t want anything,” Leon hurriedly shook his head.

“I can’t allow that! The Youngs always repay our debts. You’ve helped us so much. If we just accept all that kindness without paying you back, I wouldn’t be able to sleep soundly at night,” Elder Young said seriously.

Earlier, he suspected that Leon was just putting on an act, pretending to reject their offer so they would offer him

even more rewards.

Yet, Elder Young was certain at that moment that Leon

did not want anything back.

Elder Young was too wary!

Before Leon could answer, Iris said, “Leon, grandfather is very grateful to you. You shouldn’t say no anymore. If you need anything, tell us. We’ll do it!”

Seeing as they kept on insisting, Leon fell silent for a moment before saying, “Elder Young, I do have a request.

I desperately need a job right now.

“If you can, could you possibly arrange for a stable job for

me? I don‘t even mind being a regular salesman.”

“That‘s all you want?” Elder Young could not believe his

ears.

Iris was shocked as well. There was a glint in her beautiful

eyes.

She thought that Leon would take the chance to get something from all this, but she never expected that a job would be all Leon wanted. That request was a little too simple!

The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 20

“That’s right,” Leon nodded earnestly.

Leon was not very educated, and his abilities when it

came to working were quite average as well. It would not be easy for him to find a good job quickly.

If Elder Young could get him a stable job, it would be a lot of help for him.

“Leon, forgive me for being straightforward, but with

your amazing medical skills, surely it wouldn’t be hard

for you to become a famous doctor like Graham? Why would you want a regular job?!” Elder Young said

curiously.

With the skills that Leon showed earlier, many rich and

powerful people would be willing to deal with Leon.

Whether it was money, power, or fame, Leon would be able to get it easily.

Why would he need a job?

“That…

“Elder Young, I won’t lie. I never learned any medical skills before, nor do I have any qualifications as a doctor.

“The pressure point technique I used to treat you just now was just something I inherited from my ancestors. I

merely learned a little of it. The fact that I managed to

cure your illness was complete luck,” Leon laughed

awkwardly.

It was true that he was ignorant when it came to medical

skills, but the skills that the pendant passed to him were

peerless. It was just a pity he did not know that.

“So that’s what happened!” Elder Young was shocked.

The assistant beside him had a look of realization on his

face as well.

He wondered how someone whose medical skills were

better than Graham’s could be relatively unknown in

Springfield City.

So Leon was just lucky!

Iris was the one who knew about Leon the most. She knew that Leon was not well – versed in medicine at all. Leon was just a kind but perverted man.

“No matter what, you still saved Iris and me. That‘s an indisputable fact!”

Elder Young let out a laugh before he motioned for the housekeeper to take out a bank card, “There‘s one and a half million dollars in there. It‘s not much, but it‘s just my way of repaying you a little. You have to accept it!”

“There‘s no need, I can‘t…” Leon was shocked. He hurriedly raised his hands to refuse.

To him, 1.5 million dollars was an astronomical number. It was a sum he could not even think about.

Iris took the card and pushed it into Leon‘s hands. She smiled and Leon, “Leon, you have nothing on you at the moment. Money‘s exactly what you need. Just take it!

“As for a job, I’ll arrange for a suitable position for you in my company. Treat it as repayment for you saving my life.

“A–alright then. Thank you,” Leon smiled bitterly. He

was chased out of the Mansons without a penny to his

name. He was completely broke. He did not even have the

minimum amount needed to survive, so he did need

money.

“Gilbert, as for the two kidnappers who took Iris, how are

your investigations going? Is it a regular kidnapping, or is

there someone behind all this?” Elder Young asked.

“Those two are already dead. They didn’t leave behind

any clues. I used everything at our disposal, but I couldn’t

find any leads. I think it might just be a regular

kidnapping,” Gilbert explained simply.

After those two thugs kidnapped Iris, it seemed like they

planned on transferring money away with Iris‘ phone

before killing her to silence any witnesses.

On the surface, their motive was robbery.

However, it was strange that the two thugs did not demand a huge ransom from the Youngs with Iris as a hostage. That made it seem like it was not purely for

money.

Yet, those thugs might have just been regular robbers.

After robbing Iris, they might have wanted to kill her to

avoid leaving any clues behind.

Also, if they used Iris to demand a ransom from the

Youngs, it was very possible that the police would have

been alerted!

“That better be the case. If there’s someone behind all

this, I’ll make sure he dies horribly!” Elder Young had a vicious glint in his eyes.

The Youngs were very powerful. It was normal for any business rivals or enemies to have a target on Iris‘ head.

Elder Young’s intuition told him that it was not a regular

kidnapping, but he had no evidence, so he could not be

certain.
