Ch. 1641..1650
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1641-The key members and executives of the Yimmel family were scowling visibly at Frank's words.
There were those among them who did not fear death, but they were few and far between as most did.
And right now, not only had they lost all their leverage, but Frank was also clearly impervious to their threats.
That was why the key members and executives of the Yimmel family were really, really afraid-two among them were a direct display of what would happen if they defied Frank. Worst of all, Frank only offered them two options.
They would all die here with absolute certainty, as Frank had proven himself merciless.
Or they could accept Frank's offer to become vassals of the Lane family, a choice that would leave them ashamed.
After all, they had come confidently, led by their matriarch, to take over the Lane family and Lanecorp.
And yet, if they returned to Bralog now, they would be exposed if anyone asked, for not only did they fail to conquer the Lane family and Lanecorp, but they were instead trampled upon. No one would dare take the fall either, as they would be condemned by their own family.
But while they were caught in a dilemma, Frank said quietly, "Kill them, Peter."
His words jolted all the Yimmels to their senses, and they watched Peter Lane and his men approach, weapons in hand.
They all stumbled backward and eventually pushed Yora to the front.
"Madam Yimmel…"
"Do we fight or run? You decide!"
"Yeah, we came under your orders anyway. It's time you decide, now that things have come to this!"
Yora's expression was solemn as the key members and executives of the Yimmel family dumped the responsibility on her.
In reality, as soon as Frank demanded that the Yimmels became the Lane family's vassals, she understood that their time had passed.
Even if they fought tooth and nail to the very end against Frank's seemingly endless legion, what would they get in the end?
They would die anyway, and it was just the start their deaths would soon be heard all the way in Bralog, and the family would be caught in chaos. From the very start, there would be infighting without Yora leading them.
Then, the other families and groups that have been hostile against the Yimmels would come for them. Each would fight to take a vicious bite out of the Yimmels' wealth and importance-who would miss a golden opportunity like this, after all?
As such, if the Vimmels decided to take a swing against Frank now, they would be wiped out, and the rest of their family would fall with them all without inflicting meaningful damage to Framel??
After all, they longer had anyone to protect them.
Yora turned once again, seeing the looks in the eyes of the key members and executives of the Yimmel family.
Them giving her the say on this matter was not because they were Indecisive-Instead, they Just needed a scapegoat who would take the blame of surrendering to Frank.
And if she decided to fight, the key members and executives of the Yimmel family would most likely turn against her in an instant.
Even as Yora sighed lengthily, she remembered the years of hard work she had put into leading the Yimmels, only to fall to the Lane family.
Fate was certainly a fickle mistress-they were on the verge of claiming full control over the Lane family one second, only to be assimilated now.
Seeing Peter and his men closed in, Yora chuckled bitterly and bowed her head respectfully at Frank.
"I… We surrender."
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1642-"The Yimmels agree to your condition-we will henceforth be vassals of the Lane family, but we also want your assurance that you will come to our aid when needed." Yora's words left everyone stunned, as no one had expected this, aside from the key members and executives of the Yimmel family, who all appeared troubled. Helen was especially dumbstruck and stared at Yora in disbelief.
Just a couple of days ago, Yora was acting all high and mighty, forcing Helen to step down as the head of the Lane family.
And now, bitterness showed all over Yora's old face as she begged for mercy.
Helen then turned to see Frank smiling quietly and folding his arms before his chest, as if he had expected this.
Two days were all it took for the Lane family to rise from the brink, turn the tables, and devour a great behemoth in the Yimmels of Bralog.
It was simply unreal, and Helen would not even dream of it.
Still, Frank chuckled. "Alright, since you're surrendering and acknowledging the Lane family as your masters, do I need to remind you of what you should be doing now?"
The Yimmels were all trembling at Frank's words, but Yora led them as they bowed their heads and knelt before Helen, saluting her. "Madam Lane."
Helen gasped, her head spinning at the sight of the key members and executives of the Yimmel family kneeling before her.
"Uh, okay. Please stand…" she blurted, flustered.
Yora and everyone did so, and the room was suddenly awkwardly silent.
Fortunately, Frank broke the silence, telling the Lanecorp health and safety department officers to bring cups.
He then poured packets of powder into each cup and mixed the powder with water.
"Here. Drink this laxative to demonstrate your loyalty, or I must suspect you of harboring treachery Frank announced as he had the Lanecorp health and safety. department officers distribute the cups among the Yimmels.
yel.n The Yimmets were all scowling as they stared at the turbid, pungent mixture, with one pleading through his stammer, "Madam Lane, we've already pledged our loyalty. Isn't this unnecessary?"
"Don't worry-we're not going to kill you," Frank answered on Helen's behalf, smirking. "It won't kill you, but its effect is latent, and only my antidote works against it. Each of you must take it once every six months and get the antide you come to Lanecorp for your performance review."
The content is on Madam Yimmel...."
The key members and executives of the Yimmel family turned to kord"
age in, holding their cups hesitantly.
Yora, however, chugged her entire cup as everyone looked on, leaving them trading glances.
Eventually, they gave in too, drinking the laxative just as Yora did.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1643-With the Yimmel leadership surrendering, the feud between the Lane family, which Hardy Xinder instigated, came to a close. Naturally, no one could have seen that despite the Yimmels coming to conquer, they were devoured by the Lane family instead. Still, the incident was kept under wraps-only members of either families were aware.
Given the Yimmel family's scale, there was plenty of internal dissent, but Yora used whatever authority she had left to repress it.
The rest of the family did not know why either, but they ultimately submitted to the Lane family due to pressure.
As for the Lane family, despite the celebrations that they turned the tables against the Yimmels, there was a gloom that hung over their heads-Mark Lane.
He was certainly not celebrating with the rest of the family, having been poisoned and left in a coma.
While Helen had accomplished a major feat and became the head of the Lane family in no uncertain terms now, Mark remained the family's symbol and source of strength, and his death would definitely be a huge blow to the family. Hence, the day after Frank settled everything in Zamri, he rushed to Laneview without further ado.
Thanking Hans Schnee and everyone else, he headed to Mark's room and examined him.
As everyone watched with bated breath, Frank frowned as he came to the conclusion from Mark's symptoms that a unique poison had been used on him.
It was the Rigor Pneuma, a mysterious concoction lost to time.
It must be consumed over at least a week, though the victim would not feel uncomfortable until a catalyst triggered the poison.
Curiously, it did not cause symptoms of its own-it merely exacerbated some underlying illness in an individual. As such, it would not look like the victim was poisoned and would instead look like some old symptom was relapsing.
Frank could see through it because it was once used on a Mystic Sky Sect elder, who was poisoned by his own apprentice. Given the subtle nature of the poison, most would not be able to see it, and the method to counteract the poison was complex.
Orthodox methods would not ket work-it was only by consuming the Stellar Winroot that absorbed the essence of the Rigor Pneuma that the victim could be saved.
Otherwise, the victim would lose their vigor with each passing day, until they died as their lifeforce faded. Having come to a diagnosis, Frank quickly called Morhen's Abel Loggins to send the herb as soon as possible. Loggins Apothecary was extremely famous, and they would most certainly keep stock of Stellar Windroots.
What Frank did not expect was Abel stammering, Master Lawrence, I'm sure you know that the Stellar Windroot is not particularly valuable, and century-old specimens are especially rare. I did have one while ago, but It had been stored too long and the medicinal value faded, sp I solo it to Kornac's Keep."
"You don't have it?' Frank frowned,
While it was troublesome, it was also understandable-the Stellar Windroot was too specialized and unnecessary in the treatment of most illnesses.
To harvest a hundred-year old specimen also required one leaping into chilly lakes, and there was no guarantee of getting it.
And even after obtaining it, it would not sell for much.
Abel was certainly right about that.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1644-Even if one managed to harvest a century-old Stellar Windroot, it would be fated to stay in the cabinet as not many potions required it as an ingredient. Naturally, just keeping it around was bothersome too.
After some thought, Frank asked, "How long would it take you to find out if you started searching now?"
His question left Abel musing in uncertainty. "I would say around a month, but I also have no assurance that we would definitely get it either, Master Lawrence." "A month?"
Frank shook his head-Mark would not last a month, given his condition.
Still, Abel cleared his throat as he thought of something. "I have another idea, although it might hurt your pride, sir… if you're willing to hear me out?
"Like I've mentioned earlier, I sold the Stellar Windroot we had to Kornac's Keep recently, so you can go to them instead."
Frank was hesitant he had never heard that name before. "Kornac's Keep?"
Abel nodded. "They are a seclusive sect in Norsedam, but despite their anonymity, they have a long history, and their apprentices are all wellversed in Draconian traditional medicine. Some of their former apprentices are also known among the locals to be miracle workers."
"I see."
Frank was already a little interested that a humble sect would have a hand in Draconian traditional medicine. Still, his tone changed as he remembered what Abel had said earlier. "Well, what about it would hurt my pride?" "Oh, that…
Haha."
Abel chuckled awkwardly, his tone suddenly quiet. "While Kornac's Keep is a small sect, they carry out trials where new apprentices are recruited every year.
This year's trial would take place in a few days, and I'm sure you would have no trouble taking first place.
"Moreover it seems that the participants who ranked first can ask Kornac's Keep for anything they care to name, as long as it's within the Keep's power to grant. So…"
en Frank finished his sentence. "So you're suggesting that I should take part in the trial and ask for the Stellar Windroot?"
"Exactly."
Abel chuckled dryly. "That's the quickest way I can think of if you're in urgent need of the herb."
"I see."
Frank nodded it would not take him much time to hurry to Norsedam.
Moreover, Mark had a strong physique, and it would not be a problem for him to survive a week.
Making up his mind right then, he said, "Thanks, Abel. In that case, I shall head over to Kornac's Keep."
Abel was clearly surprised, as he thought that someone with Frank's measure would not stoop to becoming someone else's apprentice and would instead ste Kornac's Keep and demand the herb.
Moreover, he did not think Frank would agree to his idea so quickly, and without scolding him in any way.
He could only mused to himself how open-minded his mentor was,
willingly humbling himself to save a life by taking part in a trial that would be an insult to his status.
Such virtue in a healer left Abel himself ashamed.
Nonetheless, just as Frank hung up, Gavin Lane brought him bad news.
It seemed that Fleur Lang had quickly died at the hospital after overdosing on Mildron Balm.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1645-Fleur's death meant Frank had no other choice.
While he had hoped to find the antidote from Fleur before, that hope had now gone up in smoke.
And since he burned down Baba Yaga's clinic before, he could not pin his hopes on anyone else.
He tried asking Yora Yimmel too, but she had nothing either, as the Rigor Pneuma was delivered straight to Fleur Lang from Baba Yaga through
Borc Zomer. And Borc had long since killed himself, ingesting a poison tablet hidden in his molar after Jade Zahn tortured him horrifically.
With all the other options out, Frank could only go to Kornac's Keep as Abel had suggested to save Mark's life.
• After a few days of rest and preparation, Frank drove to Norsedam.
Kornac's Keep was not particularly famous on the east coast, let alone Draconia, but they certainly held a strong reputation locally.
In fact, on the day of the trials and Frank arrived at the gates, he was surprised by the crowds he was seeing.
They were on the edge of Norsedam, at the very end of the mountainous highways.
But despite the remote location, the masses could not resist coming for the hype.
Many were rich kids too, dressed flamboyantly and carrying themselves above the rest.
Frank discreetly stayed behind the crowd as they slowly headed up the mountain, and everyone soon saw the Kornac's Keep enclave, hidden deep in the woods.
The facade of the main building was dilapidated and already a lot less impressive than Riverton's Sage Lake Sect.
Even the signboard looked like it had to be repaired and changed several times, a sign of the thrifty attitude of those inside.
"Tut, tut." A rich playboy with a pretty face in one arm clicked his tongue as he stared at the signboard in contempt.
"My dad insisted I come here to learn? You really need to see it to believe ithonestly, what respectable person would learn anything here?"
"How unseemly. Don't you know better than to judge by appearances?"
Another youth strode over, wearing robes of plain cloth as he stared at the rich kid in contempt.
"Exactly." The young woman standing with the plainly-robed youth agreed.
"Some spoiled brat like you shouldn't bother coming to take the trials at all."
The young woman did not wear makeup, but her natural beauty was a class above the rich kid's girlfriend.
"Hmm?"
The rich kid's eyes widened at the young woman, and he suddenly could not care less about the Pair's contempt as He chuckled, "Hey, beautiful. Where are you from? My dad owns Huey Pharma-why don't we go out for drinks after the trials?'
The crowd were shocked to hear the name, as Huey Pharma was one of the top pharmaceutical companies and its owner, Warren Summers, was one of the richest men in Morhen.
It was certainly a surprise that Warren would send his own son Ira to take part in Kornac's Keep's trials!
Ira Summers certainly noticed the worshipful looks around him, and in his pride, he did not hold back from ogling the young woman, especially her lady parts. "Hmph!"
That was when the youth in plain robes snorted and moved to stand in front of the young woman, blocking tra's ogling as he snapped coolly, "Lam Kairo Wal, an apprentice of Cloudnine Sect's Hall of Flowers. This is my junior Horey Lindt, and if you ogle her for another second longer, I will gouge your eyes out of their sockets!"
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1646-That was when the youth in plain robes snorted and moved to stand in front of the young woman, blocking Ira's ogling as he snapped coolly, "I am Kairo Wal, an apprentice of Cloudnine Sect's Hall of Flowers. This is my junior Horey Lindt, and if you ogle her for another second longer, I will gouge your eyes out of their sockets!"
Ira's face fell right then, and he clicked his tongue before fleeing, blending in with the crowd.
Even if his family business had some power locally, they could not afford to mess with Cloudnine Sect, one of the South Sea Four.
In fact, Kairo could take his eyes as he threatened, and Ira would not be able to do anything in return.
"Shit, even Cloudnine Sect's apprentices are here?"
"When did Kornac's Keep become so popular?"
"Tut, tut. I guess this is their moment… But guess what? We'll be rich too!"
Kairo did not appear particularly interested in those comments, but at the next instant, he singled out a look of sympathy amid the other worshipful and fearful stares. "What?!"
Kairo turned to find a plain-looking man staring fixedly at his junior just like Ira, although there was no lust, only sympathy and commiseration.
Still, the look left Kairo bristling, and he glared at Frank in turn. "What are you looking at?!"
"Just feeling sympathy for a life lost," Frank replied, still staring at Horey's stomach.
Horey was feeling uncomfortable right then, glancing guiltily at Kairo before glaring at Frank. "Y-You scoundrel! Watch it!"
Frank did not want trouble and turned away, shaking his head.
However, Frank's words seemed to linger in Kairo's mind, and he turned to look suspiciously at Horey, who appeared nonplussed.
Things stayed awkward for a while, until the deafening ring of a gong resounded from the gates.
It caught most of the crowd off guard, and they cupped their ears in pain.
An elderly the as white-haired man carrying strode up, laughing eerily è relished the pain showe everyone's faces.
on Behind him were over twentyish elders, dressed plainly but carrying the scent of fresh herbs.
Everyone turned serious right then, m as they knew that the trial was beginning.
An elder In black robes stood at the center of the elders, clapping his hands to gesture for the gongman to stop.
Then, looking around at the crowd, he announced solemnly with a nod, "Welcome to Kornac's Keep-it seems that there are more people this year, but I regret to inform you that we're only taking three apprentices just like we always have.
"There are no changes to the rules either, with healers from other sects and organizations welcome to exchange knowledge and experiences too."
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1647-"Also, the participant who takes first place may name a wish-Kornac's Keep will grant it, as long as it's within our power to grant it."
As Mole Cricks-the black-robed elder-finished, he turned to look at another white-haired elder who walked casually out of the keep and sat on an armchair placed beneath the signboard.
He nodded, and Mole continued, "Then, let's not drag our feet. The first trial starts now!"
At this announcement, over a dozen apprentices carried a giant cauldron filled with a herbal soup with a weird scent, placing it in the middle of the crowd.
Mole then explained, "Everyone will have a chance to taste this soup. You will then list down the ingredients used and its purpose on the piece of paper given to you."
As soon as he finished, the crowd was pushing their way toward the giant cauldron eagerly, dipping into it with the spatulas prepared for them and sipping the soup.
Yosil Darman—the white-haired elder who was seated on the armchair-stroked his beard and smiled as he watched the participants scrambling to get a taste of the soup.
Ira was among the first who tasted the soup.
Despite being a spoiled rich brat, he was actually skilled, and he chuckled coolly after tasting it.
Picking up a pen and piece of paper from the table nearby, he began writing down the ingredients and chemistry.
Lizard skin, bull horns, poison caps, white sugar…
Later, Mole nodded approvingly as he took the paper Ira handed him and read through the list.
The kid did have a few tricks up his sleeve, listing all the herbs used and stating the correct effects: clearing the mind, energizing the lungs and removing body waste.
Holding up his hand, Mole announced, "Ira Summers, ny-five points."
Everyone was surprised, not expecting the spoiled rich brat to show such insight, identifying the herbs accurately.
Hell, he was five points short of full marks!
Ira was certainly pleased, even dissing Kairo as he walked past him. "Never judge a book by its cover, right Mr. Wal of Cloudnine Sect?" Kairo was unaffected and took a sip of the soup like the others did before smirking at Ira.
As everyone looked on, he wrote et down a list of herbs on a piece of paper, which was basically what ira had listed, except for one extra name. When Mole picked up Kairo's list, he turned toward Kairo, appearing taken aback before announcing, "Kairo Wal… a hundred points!"
"What?!" Ira's smile stiffened.
Then, seeing Kairo smiling gleefully at him, his eyes narrowed while his knuckles clenched in clear frustration.
However, he had lost, and it only added insult to injury that he tried to diss Kairo before.
"That's a Cloudnine Sect apprentice for you. Actual perfect score."
"Yeah, it's been years since any participant got that…"
Still, amid the noisy discussion, the trial continued.
No one else got close to Kairo and Ira after that, however, as the best was seventy-five points while the others failed.
Over ny percent of the participants were eliminated from et orey, the first trial alone, except for who participated too and got a perfect score just like Kairo.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1648-"One hundred points!"
The crowd cheered again-the Cloudnine Sect apprentices were really something else, both scoring full points.
It was clear that the first and second places were decided for the year!
"Hmph..."
Ira, however, snorted in disdain. "What's so surprising? One of them was just lucky getting it right, and then sneaked the answer to the other. Why wouldn't they obtain a perfect score at that point?"
"Oh, right, right, right..."
"Exactly, man..."
The other participants around Ira smiled and agreed, not daring to argue with him.
In reality, however, everyone had been watching, and they knew that the pair from Cloudnine Sect never said a word to each other from the start. They were clearly depending on their own skill, so Ira's suggestion that they were cheating was certainly untrue.
If anything, Ira was just being a sore loser and trying to instigate the crowd.
Though everyone knew that, they would not accuse Ira, as they were wary of the rich kid's influence.
"Alright, is anyone else participating?"
Seeing that most of the crowd had taken their turn and wrote their answers, Mole looked around at the crowd to make sure no one had missed out.
A long silence ensued, but just as Mole was going to announce that the first trial was over, a man strode up.
Naturally, it was none other than Frank, who strode up to the cauldron as everyone watched.
There was only sediment left since everyone had had their sip at this point, it was not just difficult to identify anything.
It was impossible, and even Kairo would inevitably make a mistake if he tried at this stage.
Kairo recognized Frank too, as Frank had been staring at Horey earlier and sighing sympathetically.
Still, he was bemused-was Frank deliberately failing his trial by waiting until the last moment to taste the soup? "Hahaha..."
On the other hand, Ira was laughing
in clear disdain as Frank reached the cauldron. "Hey, kid-are you trying to show-off, coming last to try the soup? Do you think this is the place to do so?"
"Just take a look-the soup is basically finished aside from some scraps If you can identify the herbs
used, don't mind getting down on my knees to sing for you! Hahaha!"
Ira was just feeling frustrated after Kairo and Horey one-upped him, which was why he did not hold back from mocking Frank when Frank stepped up last.
And while Ira's diss stung, Kairo was frowning too, because Ira was right.
For a taste test like this, coming first was important.
The drop in temperature would already affect the mixture's properties and taste, which in turn influences judgment of the composition.
The fact that Frank came last meant there were not many pointers to help him identify anything.
In fact, Kairo was at first a little wary
that Frank might be the real deal, what with the way he sympathized with his junior. However, the fact that Frank now waited until the end to try the soup made him look like he was just being deliberately dramatic to draw attention.
Just as Ira had put it, Frank was just trying to show off and nothing else, just to make himself look important.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1649-
In reality, what Frank was doing was clown behavior to Kairo and the other Draconian traditional medicine apprentices.. After all, he did not even know the basic idea of when a soup's effects were best and was instead trying to show off.
It was embarrassing, and Kairo was quietly shaking his head-he had certainly misjudged Frank by thinking earlier that he was skilled.
Mole Cricks the black-robed elder-did not hold out much hope for Frank either.
Anyone skilled enough would know not to wait until the soup was cold, let alone wait until last because it would affect identification.
In fact, those who came to try the soup just before Frank were just here to take part for the sake of doing so, and they could barely identify a couple of the herbs used.
That was why Mole was not even interested in what Frank could do and actually only wanted it to be over with.
Still, the crowd was soon left staring in surprise as Frank did not taste the soup.
Instead, he merely leaned into the cauldron and smelled the scents within before frowning.
"Wait, what?"
Ira watched as he did so and started snickering loudly, "You can't even be bothered to pretend? Go on, write something you were being so dramatic before, so why stop here?"
Frank, however, merely stood in silence, until even Mole had enough and hurried him.
"Huh..."
Frank eventually exhaled, murmured to himself as everyone watched. "I see. Well, color me curious."
"Curious?" Ira laughed. "When you don't even know how to do a taste test properly? Quit showing off already."
The other participants had enough of waiting too and started snapping at Frank as well.
"Come on! Quit being all mysterious and write down your answers! Don't waste everyone's time!"
"What a laugh. Is he perhaps crazy?"
Kairo was frowning at Frank in contempt too, but Frank ignored them and calmly walked up to the
table, writing his answers on a piece of paper within half a minute He handed it to Mole, who took the paper skeptically and stiffened when he actually got a good look.
The answers aside, Frank's handwriting alone was a magnificent piece of calligraphy, embodying both charisma and curved elegance.
No one except martial elites were capable of such refinement-forget the answers, as selling it as a calligraphy piece would still fetch a king's ransom!
Still, Mole soon composed himself and started to actually read Frank's review.
Nheless, everyone had seen his reaction. They could see that only Frank got such a reaction out of Mole, as Mole had at most glanced in surprise at Kairo's answer which got full points.
Such loss of composure left Kairo actually feeling doubtful too.
Was it possible that the kid might pull something here? He had only sniffed the broth without tasting it, but he could still discern the right herbs and the effects of the combination?
Nearby, Ira could no longer laugh.
The Girlboss Begs For Remarriage Chapter 1650-Mole's reaction made it clear that Frank's answer was different, and Ira would only prove his own stupidity if he kept mocking him now.
However, after Mole stared at Frank's paper for two minutes with various expressions alternating over his face, disappointment ultimately showed on his face as he announced, "Frank Lawrence… zero points."
"Pftt… What?!"
Ira's expression was at first solemn, but he promptly started laughing at Mole's announcement.
Kairo was staring at Frank in disbelief too.
If Frank's answer was really worth no points, why would Mole stare at it for so long and look so clearly disappointed?
"Hahaha… And you were acting all mysterious with your silence, but it turns out that you only got a fat zero! You're a real comedian!"
Ira's diss drew a chorus of laughter, and even those who failed to get anything right were sneering at Frank, throwing him derisive thumbs ups. "You have balls, brother! Showing off while everyone watched and then getting zero points. Amazing!"
"Amazingly horrendous, you mean!"
"I'd be digging a hole to hide if I were him. Hahaha…."
"Hmph. What an embarrassment."
Even Horey Lindt-Kairo's junior-was snorting in contempt and clearly scorning Frank for being a clown.
However, the hall's uproar did not affect Frank at all.
"I believe that the herbs and effects I wrote down are correct. Why am I given zero instead?" he asked calmly, staring at Mole as he waited for an answer.
"Right, you say?" Mole shook his head exasperatedly.
"Oh, just give in already, brother." Ira clapped Frank on the shoulder, chuckling as he comforted Frank without sincerity. "We get it-you can't keep this up, so don't push yourself." "See, you should always know your place. At this point, we can all have a laugh thanks to you, but if you push it any further, that would just be rude. Just go back from where ne came everyone here is a student in medicine, not a circus performer." "Hahaha!!!" Everyone laughed again as Ira finished.
On the other hand, Mole was not laughing with them but solemnly pointing at a herb written on Frank's paper instead. "Tell me, what herb is this?"
"Eh?"
Everyone had a clear view of the paper Mole was holding right then.
While they were surprised to see the imposing handwriting, they also could read the name of the herb.
"Augustraff?"
Unlike the others, Kairo's eyes widened in disbelief.
Aside from the Augustraff, the other herbs were all listed accurately, et although Frank's analysis was different, and sinister at that: This soup will poison the drinker latently!
