Ch. 151..155: The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife Chapter 151-155
Chapter 151: Chapter 151 – How would Robin make it up to Sabrina?
Robin looked at the doctor silently before asking, "Is everything alright?"
He wanted the doctor to leave before he expressed his thoughts to Daniel. He was the only one Robin trusted so should he betray Robin one day, then Robin was sure to go down ten feet but Daniel was loyal.
Even if Robin was wrong, Daniel would tell him to his face but still give his support while warning him in the process.
"It seems so but can you stop by the hospital later?" The doctor asked.
He wanted to run other tests which he could not do at the villa since there were no facilities but Robin remained stubborn.
"Doctor, I’m fine."
"Okay, call me if you feel any discomfort," The doctor said, carried his briefcase, and left after leaving him with some medications. There was no point arguing with Robin because he was just as stubborn as his father.
"Oh, I have to tell Sabrina that you woke up," Daniel recalled and said as soon as the door shut. Robin frowned and was also nervous, feeling that Sabrina would perceive him to be weak. As such, he was very disappointed.
"You told her?"
"How would I have gotten access to the villa? She won’t just let me in," Daniel explained and Robin nodded his head in agreement.
Even he had to drive all the way to his grandma’s house to get her permission and the security would not just allow anyone into the villa so Daniel had a valid point.
"Oh, I have to pick her up from work," Robin suddenly recalled and was about to stand from the bed when Daniel reminded him,
"I don’t think she’ll be waiting for you when I told her you were unconscious so Robin, what are you going to do about Zayla and her father?" Daniel asked the question eating his mind.
It brought back all the pain, anger, and Robin’s zeal for revenge.
He frowned dangerously and his countenance was chilly at the thought of how he has been fooled all these years by Zayla and her father.
However, there was also a stumbling block to his revenge plan which was the fact that he could not let his unborn child suffer the fate of his or her mother.
The unborn child was innocent in all these. "The bitch destroyed my life but I will just keep this information and confirm one thing."
"What is that?" Daniel asked, aghast at the fact that Robin would not immediately kick the bitch out of his life.
"The pregnancy. I have to confirm if it’s mine." Robin no longer trusted Zayla and began to doubt the paternity of the child in her womb. Until he was certain, then his hands were still tied in his revenge plan against her.
"What if she’s not pregnant?" Daniel asked suspiciously. Everything about Zayla was so fake to him from the onset, he wondered how in the world Robin never saw it.
"But she has a bump," Robin pointed out because he saw it through her dress, though he has not touched it like he did Sabrina’s.
Recalling that moment, his heart warmed, as he touched the naked flesh of her bump. It felt so wonderful.
Daniel shook his head. He was with Robin that day and everything seemed surreal to him. "Robin, the way you were drunk that night, I doubt you’d be able to do anything."
At Daniel’s words, Robin was suddenly reminded of something. "Ever since I tried to touch her bump, she keeps avoiding me."
That made him want to believe what Daniel said but after learning from his lesson of believing everything once it was said, Robin decided to move away from that. He would only work with proof.
"So, what will you do?" Daniel asked seriously, Robin smiled sinisterly,
"I know exactly what to do."
He was calm but Daniel knew that hidden behind that calmness, was the plotting of a fitful revenge which Daniel wanted to be a part of.
"Supposing she is not pregnant, what will you do?" Daniel narrowed his question to get a specific answer from him.
Robin laughed. It was a painful one. As the man he was, he never thought that anyone could outsmart him but Zayla and her father did. Robin felt stupid, wondering how he managed to bring his company to the level it was.
"Dan, she would pay for everything," Robin said in a cold tone, spreading a chilly air around them but Daniel needed the details, asking,
"How?"
"She would pay in different measures, how she destroyed my marriage and deceived me all these years. No wonder she disappeared after the surgery and when she appeared again, all she kept talking about was marriage before she disappeared again.
Dad must have been involved in her second disappearance," Robin recalled and narrated.
However, he was curious to know how Zayla knew about his condition to use it against him. Well, he was going to find it out from her.
"She’s evil," Daniel affirmed, Robin let out a humorless chuckle. No wonder he never felt attracted to her, though he always tried to convince himself that he was in love with her because she saved his life.
"Dan, by the time I’m done with Zayla, she would beg for death but even that would run away from her."
"So, are you moving back to the villa?" Daniel asked again. Not wanting Robin to continue living with Zayla.
"No. We shall live together in the penthouse, and make her feel the misery I put Sabrina through."
If Zayla had not told him she was going to give her kidney, he would not have treated Sabrina badly, even without knowing that she saved his life.
It was all because he felt Zayla should have been his rightful wife, Sabrina ended up paying the price.
"Do this for me. I want well-trained spies around Kennedy’s apartment and the penthouse. Zayla and her father should be followed everywhere and they should make sure that those two never leave the soils of Manhattan."
Daniel smiled at the plan and affirmed, "I will take care of it."
"Thank you but I have to return these keys to my grandma." Thinking about keys, Robin saw another envelope with no name on it. He opened it to see all the health records, including Sabrina’s childhood pictures.
There were also before and after pictures of the surgery with detailed medical records of both she and Robin.
Robin could not help it when his eyes felt heavy and tears began to fall from it. How was he ever going to make it up to Sabrina after all he did to her?
Chapter 152: Chapter 152- Too ashamed to face Sabrina
Daniel felt no pity for Robin seeing him shed tears in front of him for the first time. Robin made an unpardonable mistake.
Even if Sabrina was not the one who saved his life, he should have respected her for the sake of accepting to marry her.
Indeed, he could have refused but since his father then said he was sick, Robin did not want to make him sad and agreed.
"She’s indeed the one who saved your life so what will you do now?" Daniel asked him.
Robin was so pained in his heart and also emotionally. As his hate increased towards Zayla, his remorse doubled for Sabrina but he was still lost in how to make it up to her.
"I can’t face her, Dan, I’m too ashamed," Robin said honestly but Daniel thought to remind him,
"You promised to see her every morning and evening."
Robin regretted making that promise and forcing himself into her life when he knew that she did not like it.
At first, he was afraid of pursuing her because of Zayla but now that Zayla was nothing to him, he felt that he was not qualified to even walk the floor Sabrina walked so how could he face her again?
"What would I tell her? Where do I start?" Robin cried but Daniel did nothing to stop or comfort him.
If he had not advised Robin, then that would have been a different story but since he did and Robin went on being stubborn, he had to pay for his sins and his tears were also necessary for his conviction.
Daniel frowned a little when he remembered that he had still not informed Sabrina that Robin was fine.
"At least let me tell her that you are fine."
Robin nodded his head in agreement. His mother’s death was already too hard on him then but he should have faced it as a man and not cower with women to get over it.
Due to that, he hurt Sabrina badly and Zayla only worsened matters by putting those ideas in his head that she saved his life, making him feel guilty for marrying Sabrina.
"I will put these back here and return the keys to Grandma since this is all Zayla ever wanted. The diamonds."
As Robin stared at the diamonds, they no longer looked attractive to him. The real owner should be Sabrina but would she want them?
All she wanted was his love but was it too late to give it to her? She did not look like she needed it anymore and Robin did not think that even revenge against Zayla would be enough to get Sabrina back.
He felt that if she had not been the one who saved his life, then things would have been easier.
"You know what Robin; I feel sorry for you," Daniel said before redialing Sabrina’s number and she answered on the first ring, at the same time Robin went to lock back everything in the archive and returned.
"Is he okay?"
Sabrina could not hide the worry in her voice but Daniel decided not to tease her and straightforwardly said,
"Yes, Sabrina, so he woke up but I don’t think he would be able to come and pick you up tonight."
"Don’t worry. Devin already came," Sabrina responded from her side, feeling better.
"Alright, take care."
When Daniel hung up, Robin asked, "She didn’t ask to speak to me?"
He was desperate to know if Sabrina still cared for him and if she even felt anything for him again. Robin was so broken from this discovery, he needed anything from her. Even her smile or words of comfort.
"Robin, I warned you and I won’t lie to you. It would be very difficult to get back your ex-wife," Daniel said honestly, hoping that Robin would begin correcting his mistakes but he seemed to have rather given up.
"I don’t deserve her."
"Then leave her for Martin," Daniel said sarcastically and Robin frowned deeply. Even without Mara in the picture and without him knowing that Sabrina saved his life, Robin could not endure seeing her with any man. He retorted in annoyance,
"I don’t deserve her does not mean I won’t fight for her. You said it would be difficult but not impossible."
As he said that, he remembered a few things and asked Daniel, "Isn’t it funny how everyone knew that she saved my life except me, the one she saved?"
"What do you mean, Robin."
Robin smiled bitterly and began recollecting them one by one. "Matilda was the first to warn me. I only thought about the pregnancy but thinking about it again, she was talking about Sabrina being the donor when she came to tell me to protect her from Mara."
"The general told me to beware of deception when I mentioned it. Grandma gave her signs in the past but I kept hating her for it and even Sabrina’s father. Before my father died, he dropped hints but I thought it was because he wanted me to accept Sabrina."
Robin went to his late father’s washroom and washed his face. As he did so, he felt himself washing away all the guilt of his past. He could not go back to correct them but he could make the future better.
As he thought about Zayla again, he understood the reason why even when he forced himself to love her, it just could not work. She was evil.
"What are you going to do?" Daniel asked when Robin came out, wiping his face and hands with a towel. Robin thoughtfully responded,
"Thanks for coming. I will return these keys before going back to the penthouse. I have to confirm Zayla’s pregnancy before knowing where to start. I will call Doctor Paul to come and take her blood sample."
Daniel was a little skeptical, pointing out, "won’t she know that you found her out and try to escape?"
"I won’t let her know. I know how to trick her. It would be better if she didn’t know that I know and does not try to run away. She would not be able to show her face in public and neither would she be able to run or hide by the time I’m done with her."
"How will you do it?" Daniel asked curiously, still confused about the whole thing. He already knew how vengeful Robin could be when wounded but for Zayla, things had to be different. Robin’s expression was cold whiles he responded,
"For as long as she is in my house, I will find a way without her knowing."
Chapter 153: Chapter 153 – Robin’s scheme against Zayla
Devin was driving Sabrina home when he asked her, "So what happened to your ex-husband who claimed to be able to take care of you?"
As usual, sarcasm laced his voice but Sabrina merely yawned and responded,
"I heard that he fainted."
"Lies. He was most probably fucking another bitch and got tired." Devin would never believe that Robin had a genuine reason for not keeping to his promises.
In his opinion, Robin was not a man capable of change.
Sabrina was slightly annoyed because this was a health matter.
"Devin, I am not saying this in support of Robin but he fainted in the villa and Daniel was the one who called me."
"Grandma confirmed that he went to the villa and was denied access before coming to get her permission. She gave him the keys to pick up something in his late father’s room. I think he fainted because of that."
Devin sighed, not surprised that Sabrina was still defending her idiot ex-husband. "I believe what you have said but I wish he was dead so you could live your life the way you want."
Sabrina shook her head, knowing there was no way Robin and Devin would ever get along but then again, she felt she would be free the moment she births her baby.
"Devin, I can still live my life the way I want after this child is born. There is no hindrance."
Devin did not have the same mind as her, explaining in simple terms since he felt that she had forgotten.
"You will still be co-parenting so he will still be in your life. Now his fucken best friend is also after our sister."
Devin was so pissed especially when he saw Lizzy texting Daniel this afternoon. He could not help his boiling rage.
Sabrina thought it wise to not continue the conversation, thereby asking,
"What are you and Matilda’s plans towards marriage?" It was the best way to shift the subject of discussion.
"She wants to complete culinary school first so she’s working on the admission process," Devin explained.
Sabrina smiled at her best friend’s chosen path of career. "Great arrangement."

Daniel went home since Robin assured him that he was capable of taking care of himself. Robin left the villa after giving a few instructions here and there before driving to his grandmother’s house again.
It was already dark when he reached there but before he got down from his car, he called the chef at the penthouse.
"Prepare a special dinner for me and Zayla. I will be there in the next two hours. Don’t serve the food until I return."
Robin was closing up on his revenge plan and had to remove the last hindrance. He was not sure that he would be able to sleep if that piece of the puzzle was not solved, for which reason he decided to put everything together.
"Yes sir. Your request is duly noted," the chef responded.
This chef was not as good as the one he gave Sabrina but the thing was, Robin did not even have the appetite for food. This was just necessary for his next plan of action.
After ending the call, he dialed Doctor Paul’s number. "I need something to make someone sleep. Something I can put into their food or drink. I also need you around. I will alert you to come in to take a blood sample for a pregnancy test."
Robin was sure to be specific, so as not to delay getting the test result but Doctor Paul seemed concerned for Robin, especially after the way he fainted before, which was unlike him.
"Robin, what is going on?"
Robin’s expression turned cold at the scrutiny. He did not have time for explanations, feeling as if he was racing against time.
"Just do as I say. You can meet me in front of the penthouse in the next hour and a half to give me the sleeping medication. It should be something safe for a pregnant woman."
Doctor Paul had so many questions but with Robin’s bad mood, he kept them to himself and responded,
"Okay."
After making the arrangements, Robin called the last candidate of the party with great difficulty. He loathed her so much that speaking to her on the phone felt like taking a bullet in the chest.
Zayla’s phone began to ring and since she had already faced Robin concerning the money, she answered it without any more fear.
"Darling."
Robin was seething so much, he wished he could punch her through the phone but calmed his nerves.
He just had to find the last piece of the puzzle, as a false calmness soaked his voice whiles he said,
"Zayla, I wanted to apologize for my behavior about the money. I was just stressed out."
Zayla felt as if her ears were deceiving her when she heard Robin’s words. With matters of money, she thought he would still be upset but this made her happy.
"Robin?"
"Yes, it’s me, why?" Robin asked, trying to maintain the faked calmness. The excitement in her voice abhorred him so much but he kept it all inside.
"I thought you were upset," Zayla explained. Robin had a ready answer.
"I was upset before but after thinking about it again, the money belongs to both of us so you have as much right to it as I do."
Hearing that, Zayla perked up. She could easily withdraw more money. Already, she was thinking about giving her father enough to begin paying off his investors.
"Thank you, Robin," she lavished in the same excitement while cursing in her mind, ’see, Sabrina, you lost.’
"So, I figured that we should start over. I want us to have dinner together tonight and I want you to look your best," Robin said again and Zayla was already on cloud nine.
This was the first time Robin apologized to her and even asked to have dinner with him, which meant that things were not as bad as she thought.
"Okay darling, I will get ready."
Robin’s teeth ground together but he forced the calm again since he did a good job so far, saying,
"See you!"
Chapter 154: Chapter 154 - Grandma, you will hear the news
Robin went to see his grandma after ending the call with Zayla. His emotions were all over the place, being upset and yet feeling like he had no reason to be upset.
"Did you find out what you were looking for? I heard that you fainted," Cecilia asked, feeling disturbed for her grandson who was still looking pale.
Robin had just walked through the doorway, halting at his grandmother’s question. He pursed his lips and accused her politely
"Grandma, why did you not tell me? You could have told me to keep it a secret, Grandma. It would have saved my life."
The old woman hugged him comfortingly but she had no regrets for keeping Sabrina’s secret.
"I’m very sorry, but I’m not sorry because, wanted her wishes to be respected and did you find out about the treasure?" She asked seriously.
Robin broke from the hug with a regretful look but still stood at the doorway since he did not intend to keep long at the old villa. He had to make it back to the penthouse in time before Zayla falls asleep.
"Yes, but it belongs to Sabrina. I have no use for it," he said, while stretching his hands to return the keys to the old woman. She was quite impressed that Robin was not greedy for the diamonds, confirming the changes she had seen in him.
"Are you going to patch things up with her?" She asked curiously after taking the keys, still hoping that Sabrina would find the heart to forgive Robin but the thought of facing Sabrina again, broke Robin so much.
"Will she ever forgive me?" He asked in the hope that Cecilia would give him a positive response since she was one of the closest persons to Sabrina who loved him as well.
Cecilia did not have an answer but she still encouraged him, "It doesn’t stop you from trying."
Robin did not intend to give up anyway. He had for some time considered it but his only fear was the fact that Sabrina would not forgive him because of Zayla.
Now that the bitch’s ways were exposed, he was halfway through beginning his revenge plan against her.
"Thank you. I should be leaving now."
Robin was about to leave the old Villa when Cecilia asked him, "What about Kennedy and his daughter?"
She knew that Kennedy was Ronald’s main concern before his sickness and could not wait to see how Robin was going to handle the old evil fox.
"Grandma, you will hear the news," Robin said calmly, the old woman smiled in assurance. She understood Robin like no other. The fact that he was calm meant he had control over the situation.
"Alright be careful on the road," Cecilia hugged him again before letting him go. Her warmth was something Robin missed so much and was glad to have patched things up with her.
When Robin got home after an hour or more drive, he met the doctor and took the drug.
"Put it in a drink and wait for it to dissolve. The person should be unconscious in less than two minutes," Doctor Paul explained carefully, Robin gave him a nod of assurance.
"Thank you. Please wait at the security check. I will call you soon."
Again, Doctor Paul wanted to enquire about the details but Robin’s cold expression was enough for him to force any question on his mind back down his throat.
When Robin arrived, Zayla met him excitedly at the door and hugged him. He stiffened instantly and his gaze darkened with disgust. Whereas he endured and forced a little smile.
"Robin, how do I look?" Zayla pulled away, twirling around and showcasing her red flair dress, giving her an amazing and seductive blend.
Due to the design of the dress, she did not need her fake bump since the pregnancy was faked to be just three months.
The dress was tight around her bust but loose around her stomach downwards. Robin’s bitterness towards her scorched so much, he wanted to strangle her but then again, what if she was carrying his child?
"You look beautiful, Zayla," he tried to smile but it came out forced and his eyes were still cold. Zayla detected how strange his demeanor was but could not put a finger on exactly what it was so she only proceeded to say,
"But you don’t look good."
Robin forced another smile to make it look real. "I’m just tired but it doesn’t matter. We should get ready to eat."
Zayla frowned in disappointment. The last time Robin invited her out, they met Sabrina and everything was ruined. She thought he was going to make it up to her but Robin’s words were not promising enough.
"Are we not going out?" She asked seriously, Robin shook his head and said honestly whiles removing his jacket and loosening his tie,
"No. I just wanted a special time at home with you. I already spoke to the chef so sit down while I handle things."
Robin tried to sound casual and when it felt phony, he tried to make it real by enduring his disgust while he held her by the waist to the sofa, guiding her gently to sit.
"Okay," Zayla agreed.
Perhaps, it was all for the best. Who knows if they go out and bump into Sabrina again? Their romantic time would be ruined.
After ensuring that she was not suspicious of his actions, Robin went to the kitchen and gave the pill he got from Doctor Paul to the chef, saying,
"Drop this in Zayla’s drink and let it dissolve before you bring it out."
The chef was confused and suspicious. He knew it was a sleeping pill and wanted to ask why but the air around Robin was just too intimidating, he dared not and responded,
"Yes sir."
"You can start serving the food," Robin instructed calmly.
"Yes sir."
It took less than ten minutes for the dining table to be transformed into a romantic candle lit dinner.
"Zayla, we should eat now," Robin stretched his hand towards her and when she was about to grab onto it, he pulled it away, allowing her to only hold the tip.
Zayla frowned a little. ’Why is Robin behaving strangely,’ she thought to herself.
Chapter 155: Chapter 155 - the test result is negative.
Robin was finding it hard to put it all together and had to constantly remind himself of his mission and the reason why he was doing this.
He was a man scorned and his revenge was like endless waters.
He needed to ensure that she experienced the worst things he ever did to Sabrina before he finally breaks her totally and ensures that she begs for death and never finds it.
As for her father, he already lost everything but Robin knew exactly how to send him through another face of hell.
He pulled a chair for Zayla and while she sat, he stared at her seriously for the last time because he wanted to know exactly what about her made him fall prey to her evil schemes.
Even while Robin smiled at her to not give her a hint, Zayla could feel an uncomfortable air.
However, she was only hanging on to the words that came out of his mouth, feeling that it was because he was tired as he asked,
"So, how have you been, Zayla?"
Zayla remembered their phone conversation and the way he apologized. It meant that if she could eat a lot, she could have her stomach enlarged a little to make it look as if she was pregnant, have him touch her bump, and she could also ask him to get intimate with her to finally get pregnant without him knowing.
It would not matter that she lied the first time as long as she got pregnant in the end.
"Not good. You have not treated me like a fiancé but a sister, Robin. You don’t even touch me."
Robin scoffed inwards but his expression remained unchanged and his smile intact. He was proud of himself for not touching her during all the times she made advances at him.
"This is a new beginning. You are the one who has been running away and not even allowed me to touch your bump."
He lifted his drink and she did hers. She wanted to fill her stomach and then, she could permit him to touch it like he wanted, for which reason she did not give an immediate answer, lest he got carried away and tried to touch it instantly.
As they clicked the glasses, Robin gulped down his drink and filled it again while saying,
"Let’s eat. We’ve never done anything like this before."
"Yes," Zayla agreed and sipped her juice while she began to dig into the food. Since there was nothing in the food, it was not Robin’s interest and he tried to get her attention back to the drink by engaging her in a conversation that would not allow her mouth to be full.
"Are you okay with everything? The environment and all?"
Zayla’s eyes lit at the question. Since Robin said they were starting over, then this was her opportunity to state her demand again. "Well, I still prefer the villa."
"I’m building one for you," he responded as he used to, to not make her suspicious.
"The old one would still be perfect," Zayla sipped her drink again and demanded. Robin nodded his head, wondering how he did not see her as the diamond digger she was from the onset but this was his game now and he was not going to give her a chance to breathe.
"If you want the old villa so much, I will talk to Sabrina about it," he said, raising her hopes. Zayla was so happy, and she sipped the drink again. She had already consumed half the glass.
"You will?"
Since the conversation was driving Robin to his mission, he continued with this plan, responding, "Why not? You deserve whatever makes you happy."
Zayla was so happy, she gulped down the remaining juice at a go, before she continued to eat again but also began to feel dizzy."
Robin pretended to be worried, asking, "What is the problem, Zayla?"
"I don’t know," she yawned and continued to say, "I think I’m tired. I need rest."
"What are you saying?" Robin asked since she was mumbling the words.
Zayla’s head rested on the table since she could not even hear him from the sleep that suddenly invaded her.
Robin brought out his phone and sent the doctor a text message. ’You can come in now.’
Then he called the chef, "Please clear the table."
The chef was shocked because they were still on the appetizers and had not gotten to the main course.
Doctor Paul arrived and Robin carried Zayla to the sofa whiles instructing,
"I don’t want her to have any signs that her blood sample was taken when she wakes up and I want the result before I go to bed. Also, I want to know her blood group."
For Robin’s revenge plan, it would be perfect if Zayla had no idea that he knew about the diamonds and the fact that she was not pregnant if it turns out to be negative.
If it turned out positive, then he would have to hold on with his revenge plan until she delivered the baby.
"Pregnancy test doesn’t take long so I will send you feedback in at most two hours with the blood group," Doctor Paul assured him.
For whatever reason why Robin wanted a retest done, he could not understand but saw nothing wrong with it.
After all, he only heard that Zayla was pregnant from Robin. After taking the blood sample, he left and Robin carried Zayla to her room and dropped her on the bed.
When he got to his room, he checked the medical records again. Everything looked authentic and he had it in mind to sue the Doctor who gave a fake report if the test proved negative.
Robin could not sleep because he was waiting for the medical report. He decided to text Sabrina, not hoping that she would respond.
Sabrina, the woman who loved him with her life and gave him her kidney at such a young age, now, hated him because of his stupidity.
However, he still could not grant her only wish of staying away from her.
’How are you this evening, Dear one? Sorry, I couldn’t pick you up. I will see you tomorrow morning.’
’It’s fine. Daniel said you weren’t well. Are you better? Goodnight.’
The response came within seconds and his heart warmed. Sabrina was not heatless and still cared, even when all he ever did was cause her pain.
Robin’s heart suddenly weighed heavy with remorse as he texted a response, ’ Who said I wasn’t well, I was just stressed out from work overload. Anyway, ’Goodnight, dear one.’
He could not admit that he fainted because it made him think that she would feel he was too weak. Sabrina did not respond anymore and he assumed that she was sleeping.
Thirty minutes later, his phone rang. It was Doctor Paul so he quickly swiped to you accept the call.
"Robin, the result is out and it’s negative. Her blood group is also O negative. I have forwarded a copy to you on WhatsApp."
