Ch. 381..385: The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife Chapter 381-385
Chapter 381: Chapter 381 – It’s you name on everything
"I am not obligated to answer your questions, but the only reason I am forced to do so is because my wife already addressed the matter," Robin said, his eyes filled with pain. "You call her blind? No? You call her utterly foolish? Or that she lacks self-worth?"
The words had never crossed his mind until he read them, and he was very upset at the way they viewed Sabrina because of her undying love for him.
A woman like her did not deserve to be treated that way, and Robin was furious about it.
Strangely, all the fifteen or so media reps could not utter a word as shame covered their eyes, but Robin was just warming up.
"You see, I could take all the bullshit if it were focused on just me, but to drag my wife into it and call her such names," Robin’s expression was ghastly. "I, Robin Jewel, would not forgive. I will get to the bottom of this, and everyone involved would pay."
The reps hoped their reports were true. If they were, then it would be only the originator of the news to face the music, but Robin had a special message for them.
"As for you reps, reporting things you know nothing about without proper investigations and waiting for confirmation from those involved, you better look for another occupation because if I start, no guilty person would escape me."
The icy tone in Robin’s voice sent a chill through the atmosphere, causing even the bodyguard and Devin to feel pity for those involved in the scandal.
As Robin walked away, the representatives’ faces turned white and they stood frozen, as if they had seen a ghost or been encased in ice.
What if it was true that Mr. Jewel was innocent? In less than five minutes, all the news about Robin and Sabrina were taken down without a trace.
At the coded location, Jacob’s fury grew. This time, he was with his mother since the hacker had closed for the day.
"Fools. I spent a lot of money to get the news to circulate, but they took it down within the blink of an eye, all because Robin said a few threatening words," he fumed at how things had turned out.
His mother remained calm, internally happy that Jacob had not succeeded. She also hoped that Jacob would move back to California, where they had been hiding for their whole lives.
She knew Robin’s father so well and could find traces of him in Robin. That was the reason why she easily predicted and knew where Jacob fell short.
Robin doesn’t make idle threats. He always follows through. I warned you not to do anything foolish, but you wouldn’t listen. Let’s go back before he tracks you down."
"He’ll never find me," Jacob boasted, but his mother was deeply troubled, fearing that Robin might actually locate him.
"Please. Robin has connections. He will find you and you’ll be in trouble. Please, let’s go." She hoped that by subtly threatening him, Jacob would agree to leave, but unfortunately, he inherited his late mother’s stubbornness.
"I’m not leaving. I’ll figure something else out."
His mother felt uneasy. She wanted to flee, but she had been sick for years and couldn’t bear to be alone. All she could do was weep internally, sensing that her time was running out.
***
Robin found himself smiling once again as he was enveloped in a warm hug. It felt good to be back, and Sabrina’s warmth lifted all his burdens.
"I’m just glad you’re fine," Sabrina said, shedding silent tears that wet his white shirt as he hadn’t worn his jacket.
He was eager to see her, and now that he did, it was clear to him that she had been bottling up everything while standing strong. Now that he was back, she could go back to being vulnerable once again.
Even a strong woman would enjoy the pampering of her man, and Sabrina was no exception.
"Thank you for trusting me even when I didn’t trust myself," Robin’s voice was heavy as he spoke. The hug lasted a while before Sabrina pulled away.
Robin pulled her closer and kissed her on the forehead. Then he looked at the people in the office and said,
"Thank you all for being there to give her the needed support. I appreciate it so much."
"Did you find out who was behind it?" Cobby asked eagerly, unable to wait for Robin’s enemies to be brought to justice.
"On my way here, I made a few calls, but the IT team could not access anything. They hacked into the cameras and wiped them," Robin recounted. Though he was greatly upset, he refused to let it show.
"We heard about your threat to the media. What are you going to do about it?" Cobby asked again. Robin smiled. He led Sabrina to the sofa and, after making sure she was comfortable, he sat beside her and said,
"I have secret cameras in there, but the only person who has control over them is Daniel. He will be back within a few days, so I will allow whoever is behind this to enjoy their remaining short time," Robin revealed. Sabrina couldn’t help but ask,
"Could it be the one who sent Gladys?"
Robin also suspected it. "Yes, but I don’t know for sure except that..." After the DNA test, he needed to rethink his plans.
"What?" Sabrina asked curiously, and everyone else was interested. Robin pursed his lips and stretched out his hand to Sabrina.
"Come," Robin led her to the small room and, after shutting the door, he revealed, "Early this morning, I had a DNA test report confirming that the man we saw at the wedding reception a few days ago is my twin brother."
"What?" Sabrina’s eyes widened, but then she agreed, "I knew it. I felt like he looked familiar. The revelation makes it clear. He looks like your mother, but why is he doing this?" Sabrina could not comprehend it.
"He feels that I owe him. Maybe because we got separated. Grandma said that my mom insisted that she heard my twin brother cry, but the doctors said he died and showed them proof," Robin revealed again. Sabrina was double shocked.
"Does it mean that the hospital connived with whoever took him away?" She never thought something like that could happen to a powerful family like the Jewels. Robin agreed,
"That is what I think, but right now, I’m trying to get his details and get in touch with him."
"What will you do? Will you share everything with him?" Sabrina was curious and asked. Robin looked her in the eyes and asked in return, "It’s your name on everything. Should I?"
Chapter 382: Chapter 382 - As long as you keep loving me
Robin didn’t mind sharing, but if Sabrina didn’t agree, he would have to find another way to compensate his twin brother.
However, Sabrina wondered why he was asking her that question. If Robin had a twin brother, he had the automatic legal right to everything the Jewels owned.
"It’s his right and there’s nothing you or I can do about it," she said. Robin was so moved by her response that he pulled her closer and their lips met.
What started as a gentle kiss grew passionate, lasting for two minutes before they pulled apart to catch their breath.
Robin was already removing her blazer when Sabrina held his hand to a halt and reminded him, "We have people waiting."
Robin sighed, disappointment flashing in his eyes. He was so turned on by the kiss they just shared that his erection was hard and painful.
He stole another kiss before saying, "I know and I don’t want to pressure you at this time, but can we do it when we get home? Will you be able to handle it?" His gaze was filled with desire, and his voice was heavy with passion.
He hoped that she wouldn’t say no because he wanted her so badly. Pregnancy or not, she was just irresistible.
Sabrina’s cheeks crimsoned. Sometimes, she felt self-conscious because of her growing belly, but Robin always made her feel sexy.
His hand was securely wrapped around her waist as she smiled shyly and said, "You know you don’t have to ask."
Robin’s mood improved, and his desires increased tremendously. However, he couldn’t hide his growing concern for her health. "Well, you’ve been having a lot of discomfort, so I should make sure that you are totally up to it, and you know that until the kids are born, I will always be gentle."
Sabrina laughed and buried her head in his chest. He made her so happy, she didn’t have the words to explain how she felt. "I think I can handle it."
When they returned to the main office, Robin expressed gratitude to all the people waiting for them.
"Don’t worry, everyone, as soon as Daniel gets back, we will get to the bottom of this," he reassured.
Everyone nodded in understanding as Matilda hugged Sabrina and said, "your cheeks are flushed. Could you not wait until you got home?"
Sabrina laughed, understanding that Matilda had misunderstood, thinking that Sabrina and Robin must have had a quickie. However, Sabrina did not refuse or accept it, since it almost happened anyway.
In the shower, Robin’s hands massaged Sabrina’s full breasts and sensitive nipples, while he thrust gently into her from the position she had grown to love so much. It helped ease her stress and made her calmer.
Robin caressed her large belly, sucking her neck and thrusting deeper, their moans and groans growing louder than the sound of the shower. By the time calmness returned, Sabrina had released thrice and was ready to drop.
She slept peacefully like a baby and Robin smiled, proud to be able to satisfy and make her happy.
Recalling the issue with his twin brother whose name he did not even know, he remembered that he had to inform Cecilia about it.
"Grandma, are you sleeping?" Robin knocked on the door and asked since the light in the elderly woman’s room was still on. Her voice came through the door,
"I was trying to but since I’m speaking, come in and let’s talk."
Robin opened the door and went inside, surprised to see his grandmother reading by the coffee table. She was not even planning to sleep.
"Grandma, I found my twin brother. He was at the wedding and he is in for revenge," Robin sat on his grandmother’s bed, facing her coffee table and spoke. The elderly woman was flabbergasted.
"What? How? Does it mean the DNA..."
"Yes. The test came out positive," Robin ended for her, already knowing what she wanted to ask. Cecilia was enraged and her anger boiled.
"We have to sue that hospital."
Robin agreed, "Yes but there are a few things I need to take care of first." He stood up and kissed his grandmother on the cheek. "Goodnight, grandma, I just thought that you should know about the update."
Cecilia thought about it all through the night and was not able to sleep well. The next morning, she was waiting to ask Robin some more questions, as she wanted to see her other grandson.
Robin woke up the next day and couldn’t take his eyes off the beautiful woman lying beside him.
She was so attractive that he found himself planting soft kisses on her back and gently stroking her hair without even realizing it.
His actions woke Sabrina, who had a beautiful smile on her face as she turned to face him and yawned, "Can’t you sleep?"
Robin smiled and kissed her on the lips before responding, "It’s morning and I don’t know if you want to take the day off. I’ll still help with things in your office."
Sabrina loved the idea, as her growing pregnancy made her feel heavy, but there were still messes she needed to clean up.
"Let me finish the month before I stop going. I feel so heavy though."
Robin wished there was a way to help her carry the babies, but since he couldn’t, he could only lessen her burdens.
"You’re a very strong woman and I appreciate all your sacrifices for us," he said with gratitude, kissing her again. Sabrina responded to the kiss and replied,
"As long as you keep loving me, I will only be stronger."
Robin laughed, knowing he would never stop loving her, and laid beside her. He was ready to take her in a side-by-side sex position from behind, as he struggled to control his libido when she was lying naked on the bed.
"Does that mean I could go another round?" he asked, knowing her belly was growing larger and larger.
He could see an increase this morning and knew her time was closer than he had thought.
Before Sabrina could respond, Robin’s phone rang. He checked the caller ID and, seeing it was Peter, he said apologetically, "I think I have to get this."
Chapter 383: Chapter 383 - she stole your twin brother from your mother
"Mr. Jewel, congratulations!" Peter said after Robin answered the call. He was surprisingly in a very good mood, in contrast to Robin’s sour mood.
Robin frowned in confusion. "What are we celebrating?" He asked. He was in a hurry to return to Sabrina’s side since she was quite upset when he did not answer the call in front of her.
It was understandable but Robin had a good reason for it. Though he didn’t want to ever hide anything from Sabrina, her condition made it impossible. After she delivered their baby, he could tell her anything.
"Your twin brother of course. I have sent the details to your email," Peter said over the phone.
Robin had a small smile on his face at the realization that Peter had indeed done a good job since he was already aware of that information.
"What about Ethel Dwayne?" Robin asked. It was strange how he never met or knew his mother’s best friend until his grandmother mentioned it.
"I have sent her information too. Since this subject is an interesting one, let me give you a breakdown," Peter said excitedly. Robin shook his head since he never experienced such excitement from Peter before.
"I’m listening."
"On every record I hacked into, Ethel Dwayne is your twin brother, Jacob Dwayne’s mother but after hacking into the DNA servers, thanks to your recent request for a DNA test, I realized that they were not blood related like the DNA tests had specified."
Robin stiffened and his faced drained of color. At least he knew his twin brother’s name to be Jacob Dwayne but for Ethel, his mother’s best friend to be Jacob Dwayne’s mother?
"So, you mean that Ethel..."
"Ethel was you mother’s best friend and she stole your twin brother from your mother, raising him as hers."
Robin was so shocked, he had goosebumps but it was also understandable to him, how he never met this best friend of his mother all his life.
Weren’t best friends supposed to stick together? Even when away, they would still always find ways to be communication but that name Ethel Dwayne was never heard in their household.
"Thank you very much," Robin forced down his anger and spoke. Then he remembered something and added, "but I have hidden secret cameras at the Crystal hotel. Can you hack into them if I give you the code?"
Due to Peter’s interest in this story, he didn’t want to refuse, though he was very busy at the moment.
"Okay but what exactly I’m I supposed to search for?" He asked over the phone. Robin knew he was in Johannesburg and hadn’t heard about the scandal
"I had a meeting there yesterday in the conference room 5 but woke up in the presidential suite with pictures of me and a strange woman circulating. If you find something, I will like to know everything about the people behind it including the woman in the picture."
At the other side of the line, Peter was smiling like a fool. "I guess Mr. Jewel wants to make me rich," he said jokingly, Robin shook his head and said,
"You are already rich."
"I will get back to you in forty-eight hours," Peter said. He was about to hang up when Robin spoke,
"Why so long? Daniel would be back by then."
Peter wished to hasten it but what he had to do was a matter of national security for another country.
"I have things to do for the Russian government and you know that they are my main contractors."
Robin, concerned that delaying could allow the people involved to escape, responded,
"Then you are quite busy. I will wait for Daniel to get that for me and I have sent your payment but lest I forget, Mara and Martin did not die. I will send you a video for you to see if you can find them."
Peter froze at the end of the line and fear sounded in his voice. "What do you mean by that?"
"Why do you sound afraid?" Robin asked teasingly, not expecting Peter to be afraid of Mara, since Robin wasn’t. Peter replied,
"Well, I didn’t help her when she asked for it so I can be a target too. You have no idea how evil Mara could be."
Robin chuckled and teased him again, "But she was your first love."
"I was too blind to see. I just wanted to please her. Thanks for letting me know. I will be more careful and will wait for the video too," Peter said eagerly, forgetting that he had an important assignment.
Robin observed the drastic changes around him and decided to add a little challenge to the situation.
"Or you could hack into the general’s cameras to get it," he suggested.
Peter’s bitter smile was evident in his voice. "Are you trying to punish me?" he asked, forcing a smile.
"Just kidding. I will send it over," Robin replied with a smile.
"Is the evil girl still alive?" Grandma inquired as soon as Robin hung up the call. Robin had not noticed her sitting in the garden chair, as he had been facing the opposite direction since his arrival.
Concerned that Grandma’s close relationship with Sabrina might lead to a slip of information, Robin cautioned,
"Grandma, Sabrina must not know this. It won’t be good for her health."
"So, it’s true, but what are you doing about it?" Cecilia asked seriously.
"I told him to find her location. We can’t do anything without it," Robin replied truthfully. He wondered if Mara or Martin were behind his recent scandal, but he kept his thoughts to himself, unsure of the truth.
Cecilia was upset that Robin and Sabrina’s recent challenges were all because of Mara, since she wanted Sabrina dead. "Why won’t she just die?" she said in annoyance.
Robin smiled mysteriously, knowing that if Cecilia knew his plans for Mara, she would understand why she needed to remain in hiding.
"Don’t worry. I’m prepared for her," he assured her.
Cecilia was relieved, believing that he would handle the situation. However, her next request was a challenge for Robin.
Chapter 384: Chapter 384 - Just allow me to take it off
"Regarding your twin brother, I want to see him," Cecilia stated.
Robin was unsure of how things would go between him and his twin brother, who seemed determined to harm him. He didn’t know how to respond to his grandma, but he tried to remain positive.
"I will inform him about you when I locate him. I have his whereabouts and will send people to discreetly keep an eye on him. I need to be certain if he knows anything about yesterday’s scandal," Robin replied.
Cecilia was uneasy about the scandal and didn’t believe that Robin’s twin brother was involved. "Why would he want to harm you?" she asked.
Robin forced a smile, not wanting to explain everything again, knowing that his grandmother sometimes forgot things. "I told you before that he demanded that I give Sabrina to him."
The elderly woman stiffened upon recalling that statement. She would never exchange Sabrina for anything, not even for her desire to see Robin’s twin brother.
"Robin, nothing must happen to Sabrina," she cautioned. Robin promised, "Grandma, I swear it with my life."
Cecilia almost believed him, but remembering what happened the previous night, she panicked. "But you were drugged yesterday. What if the same thing was done to Sabrina?"
Robin’s expression darkened. He couldn’t bear the thought of anything bad happening to his wife.
"You’re right, but I need to investigate and find out exactly what they did in order to take precautions in the future."
"You better do so," Cecilia agreed.
Robin thought of his angry pregnant wife and told Cecilia, "Anyway, I’m going to bring breakfast to my pregnant wife in bed."
Grandma Cecilia smiled as she watched him leave for the kitchen. Sabrina was already in the shower when Robin returned. He dropped the food on a table in the bedroom and joined her.
"Why did you shower without me?" he asked, pretending to be upset.
"That’s because you went out to answer the call. What are you hiding?" Sabrina asked, irritated. She turned off the faucet and covered herself with a towel, her back to Robin.
As she walked past him hastily, Robin couldn’t shake the feeling that she was hiding something from him.
He pulled her into his arms at the doorway, but she kept her head lowered and her eyes teary.
Robin’s heart thumped in his chest, wondering if there was more to her behavior than just the call.
"I will answer your question, but please tell me first, why are you covering up?"
The boundary of nakedness had never been an issue in their rocky relationship in the past, so he couldn’t understand why it was happening now.
"Nothing," Sabrina said dryly, avoiding eye contact. Robin was disturbed. He cupped her face in his hands, but she stubbornly refused to meet his gaze, turning her back to him.
"Please don’t lie to me. It doesn’t suit you," Robin pleaded. Sabrina forced a smile through her teary eyes as she tried to remain calm.
"It’s nothing. I just want privacy until and after the babies are born," she said nervously.
Robin frowned deeply, feeling exasperated since she had been happy when she woke up that morning.
They had even been about to have a morning moment before they were interrupted by his phone. Was that his punishment for answering Pete’s call outside?
Robin felt sorry. Perhaps he could have spoken briefly to Peter before finding another way to discuss other matters with him after reaching the office.
"My queen, please, I’m sorry for picking up the call outside. The discussion was about my twin brother, and for other matters, I will tell you after you deliver the baby. These matters are not healthy for you."
He turned her to face him again and saw a tear roll down her cheek. He caught it in his hand, his heart breaking. Robin felt that it wasn’t about the call and that something else was troubling his wife.
Whatever it was, he wanted to find out and was not ready to give up on her. "If you are going through something, I want to help. Please don’t deny me, I’m begging you."
When their gaze met, Sabrina saw the pain in his eyes and instantly broke down, turning her back to him once again. "My body will no longer be perfect."
Robin was confused, unable to make sense of her words. He feared that she might get depressed along the way and was doing everything possible to prevent it, but it seemed that was exactly what was happening.
What are you talking about?" Robin asked, worried as he took in her facial expressions. She looked saddened and sorrowful.
"Robin, this is all a mistake," Sabrina said, shedding tears that felt like acid being poured on his heart.
"My queen, please help me understand and stop crying," Robin said, wiping her tears. When they were instantly replaced, he tried to remove the towel, but she held tightly to it.
He paused, wondering why she was suddenly trying to hide her nakedness from him, but there was always one trick that worked. "I want to feel our babies."
Sabrina shook her head in refusal. "No. Not anymore."
Robin was disturbed but felt that she might be feeling depressed because of how big her stomach had grown within a short space of time. But she was carrying twins, and this was what Robin had always wanted.
The sight of it was a reminder that their twins were soon going to be born. "Why," he asked, close to her ears, his hot breath warming it.
Sabrina could already feel her resolve breaking but still stood strong, not wanting him to see what she was hiding.
"Robin..."
"Just allow me to take it off," Robin’s voice cut through her words. "We even showered last night together, and I don’t think there is anything for either of us to hide."
Sabrina’s grip loosened a little, so Robin removed the towel. As he caressed her stomach, he felt a strange roughness. At the same time, warm liquid wet his hands.
Gripped with fear, he instantly turned her to face him. "Why are you crying?" he asked, worried.
Chapter 385: Chapter 385 - Can you feel the roughness?
Sabrina was saddened. She desperately wanted a child but had never considered the sacrifices involved.
As her stomach grew, she assumed that a few weeks or months after the twins were born, she would return to normal.
However, after seeing her stretch marks in the shower, she began to wonder if there was more in store for her.
"Because I won’t be attractive to you anymore," she said to Robin, caressing her bump. He didn’t notice the roughness until she drew his attention to it.
"Don’t you see it? Can you feel the roughness?" Sabrina shed more tears. Robin frowned and asked, "You mean the stretch marks?" He felt it was absurd for her to worry about something as trivial as a stretch mark.
Sabrina nodded, and Robin, slightly disappointed but prepared, as he had read a lot about the stages of pregnancy, encouraged her.
"My queen, this is nothing. It will disappear after you give birth," he said, though he knew that some visibility would still remain.
"What if it doesn’t?" Sabrina asked sadly. Robin smiled, relieved that it wasn’t anything serious.
"Then we shall cherish it forever."
"Or I go for surgery to hide the visibility," Sabrina said eagerly. Robin frowned deeply. "No. I love it."
Seeing the light dim in her eyes, Robin thought to explain, "You know why?"
"No," she responded in a small voice.
Robin’s voice was as soft as a feather when he explained,
"Because it would always remind us that your body sacrificed a lot to birth our twins. This is the beauty of parenthood and there is no need to have it removed. I will cherish it every day," he said seriously.
Sabrina’s eyes were blurred with tears as she asked, "What are you saying?"
She knew that Robin could have any woman he wanted with a click of the finger and hoped that he wasn’t going to take advantage of her having a child and go have fun with some women out there.
Robin knelt down and began to place gentle kisses on Sabrina’s bump, paying special attention to the stretch marks.
The babies responded with kicks, making Sabrina giggle through tears. "They feel your presence a lot," she said.
Robin smiled, his eyes teary, and continued to shower the bump with kisses. He asked softly, "Yeah and wow, does it hurt?"
Sabrina shook her head and took his hand. "No, it’s...I don’t know how to explain it."
Resting his head on her large bump, Robin made a request.
"Promise me one thing, that you will never complain about your body again. Having a baby is already stressful, so please don’t add insecurities to it."
Sabrina’s mood soured as she asked, "What if I’m no longer the same after giving birth? You won’t be attracted to me anymore."
Robin laughed and reassured her, "You think that I’m only attracted to your body? No. I feel attracted to your personality, your strength, determination. My love for you will only grow with each passing day, do you understand that?"
Sabrina’s gaze locked with his, and she knew he was telling the truth. "Yes."
"I love you. Now let me shower and let’s get going. I brought you breakfast in bed, but since you weren’t in bed, I left it on the table," Robin kissed her on the forehead and removed his boxer shorts.
Sabrina smiled when she saw how hard his manhood had become, but he was still controlling himself. "Can we do it?"
"Any time, my queen. You can even close early and we shall continue at the office," Robin said, locking his lips with hers. The rest happened in the shower, and that was how Sabrina ended up showering twice that morning.
After almost thirty minutes, they were out of the shower and Robin said, "I was speaking to a hacker."
Sabrina paused while wiping her wet hair. "I see. So, what did you find out?"
"I haven’t read the report, but from the summary, my mother’s best friend is responsible. She stole my twin brother."
Sabrina’s face drained of color as she realized the seriousness of the situation. "So what’s your plan?"
Robin grabbed the hair dryer and motioned for her to sit on the bed as he began to dry her wet hair.
"I’ll wait for Daniel’s return but will keep security around him and his mother," Robin revealed, his eyes flashing with anguish towards the woman who claimed to be his mother’s best friend.
She was evil, and Robin was bitter at the thought of her.
"Is he responsible for the scandal?" Sabrina asked, already feeling hungry but deciding to wait until Robin was done with her hair.
"That wasn’t part of the report. This hacker is quite busy so I would prefer Dan to handle it," Robin said, and Sabrina forced a smile.
"I hope everything goes well, but no matter what, please don’t hurt your twin brother," she advised.
A few days later, Robin finished watching the video of everything that happened in the Crystal Hotel on that fateful day, relieved that nothing intimate had occurred.
However, he couldn’t shake the fact that those men had infiltrated his own hotel and done that to him.
"I need the men and the girl’s address."
Daniel shook his head, partly guessing what their confessions might be. There was always a stronger person behind all of this.
"From the look of things, they are all pawns. I suspect Jacob. I know that you won’t hurt them because they only acted on command and you know how your twin brother is. Even if they don’t want to do it, he would threaten to kill them."
Robin recalled Glady’s confession and began to knead his temples in frustration. "What do we do now?" he asked, deflated. Daniel shrugged.
"You know what to do." As soon as he returned from his honeymoon, Robin didn’t even allow him to breathe, calling him over. Lizzy also wanted to go and help Devin out, so things worked out perfectly.
"You’re right." Robin made a call to a private detective. "I’m sending you some information. I want them abducted and sent to a place I will show you." His gaze darkened as he gave the command.
