Ch. 126..130: The Rogue is a Female Alpha chapter 126-130

Back Where 126

The candle burned softly in its place. The kingdom was warm and silent, with only the faint chatter of night guards drifting through the stillness.

I watched the oil he had brought, and when he returned to the bed, my heart clenched with hunger and fear alike.

He stripped off his trousers, and when his thick lengthy cock sprang free, I swallowed hard. He came to me gently, pressing his mouth to mine, his tongue trailing down my neck in intoxicating strokes, before his hand slid to my thigh. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ Find1Novel.net

Then his lips traced my leg, down to my toes, which he drew into his mouth, sucking softly.

At the same time, his fingers found my clitoris. My pulse pounded as I surrendered to him, letting him take control. Then his mouth descended to my core, my clitoris, tasting me. I clutched the sheets, eyes squeezed

shut.

“Lycan…” I whispered, before tangling my fingers in his black hair as he devoured me.

His tongue sent shivers through me, until suddenly he stopped. Breathless, I opened my eyes to see him staring at me, lips wet with my taste. He kissed me briefly and muttered,

“You tell me when I go too far. Punch me if I lose control like you used to. Understand?”

I nodded quickly, kissing him again, and in one swift motion I rolled him onto his back, straddling him.

“You’re swift,” he muttered with a faint smile. “Who trained you?”

“The Ashmeres,” I whispered, sliding down his body.

I wrapped my fingers around his hard dick, earning a groan, before I took him into my mouth. A growl rumbled from deep in his chest as he held me still, then released me.

“Spit on it,” he ordered softly.

I obeyed, following his guidance, stroking him as he showed me. His jaw flexed, eyes dark. Then I swallowed him again, and at that moment, something snapped in him. He held me too long, making me choke on his length before letting me gasp for breath.

Before I could steady myself. He flipped me suddenly, bending me forward, spreading me open. His lips pressed against my ass. A violent chill seized me. I jerked, but he pinned me down with quiet control.

“Relax,” he whispered.

His tongue licked me there again, shocking me, until he reached for the oil. Then came the sharp intrusion of his finger, slow and stretching, then a second finger, burning and strange until it melted into pleasure.

He turned me onto my back, parted my thighs, and stroked himself before pressing the thick head against me. I swallowed hard as he leaned down to kiss me.

“If you panic, it will hurt. You trust me?”

“With all my heart.”

His kiss silenced me as he pushed inside, slowly splitting me open. I clutched him so hard my claws tore his skin, but he didn’t flinch. He only waited until I could bear him.

“You okay?” he asked softly.

I nodded, barely able to breathe as his fingers found my clit, easing the pain into a flood of pleasure.

Then he began to thrust. Slow. Deep. Painful at first, then transforming, shifting into something raw and overwhelming.

“Lycan…” I moaned, arching under him as he drove me open.

His rhythm built faster, rougher, oil slickening his savage pace. My head fell back, my moans spilling freely.

Then it happened. His warning come true.

A guttural growl ripped from him as though his beast tore through the surface. His thrusts turned brutal, each one shaking me apart. He seized my arm, claws piercing my flesh as his mouth crushed mine in a bruising kiss that bled.

Pain burned through my mercilessly. The two sensations collided. Pain and pleasure crashing until my body convulsed violently.

mrm where his claws sank deep, but his other hand dragged over my clit

“Lycan!” I screamed as my body broke, squirting, shuddering, trembling apart just as his savage thrusts grew desperate, filling me with his hot release.

He held me pinned, still buried inside, until his tremors eased. His breath ragged, his lips came to pressed on my temple as his voice came rough, possessive, absolute.

“You are mine, Zephyrine. All of you. Only mine.”

At last, he pulled out and dragged me against his chest. With the thin blanket half–covering us, we collapsed together into heavy, forbidden sleep, having defied the moon goddess in a violent, obsessive way no prayer or ritual could wash clean.

The sunlight bathed my face, and I stirred awake. But what made me flutter my eyelids open was the soft movement in the room. The sun had been partially shielded.

I opened my eyes to see him.

Lycannar.

He stood by the window, one hand pressed to his chest, his pale–gold eyes fixed on me. The expression in them was like wonder itself, as though he couldn’t comprehend I was real.

Heat rose through me, and I smiled shyly, lowering my gaze. I could feel him watching me, lingering on the curve of my bare breasts.

The ache between my thighs pressed insistently, and I reached gently to cover myself with the blanket, but he came toward me with measured gentleness.

“Good morning,” he murmured, taking the blanket from my hands and letting it fall, leaving my skin exposed to the warm morning sunlight.

I stared at him, captivated. His eyes sparkled with pride as he lowered his lips to press a soft kiss to my temple.

“You are so beautiful,” he whispered, pulling back to meet my eyes. “How do

you feel?”

I lowered my gaze to my body. The dull ache I had been carrying stirred, a reminder of last night. And there it was. The sting of his claw on my arm but I stayed silent. I wouldn’t let him regret what we had done.

“I’m fine,” I said quietly. In response, he caressed my lips, lowering to kiss me softly again. My heart swelled, full of love and longing.

He was fully dressed in black leather boots and bracers today, well just like always.

“Occasion?” I asked softly.

“The throne room,” he said, nodding. “Today I’ll work with Baron, my beta. Honestly… it’s new for me, and I don’t feel ready to bond with anyone else yet.”

I smiled at his words. When I caught his usual frown, I reached for his fingers and held them to my face.

“You might not excel at bonding, but you will excel at ruling. You are a King.”

He sighed.

“That’s not how my people see me. They’re loyal because they fear my wrath. I’m the prince who lived in the Black Tower for years. Rarely seen, rarely speak… the one who abandoned his father at the memorial hall to make him suffer.” He nodded. “You are right. I am… strange. Weird.”

I paused, remembering how I had indirectly called him weird last night. Somehow, it had struck him more than anything else.

“Lycan.” I said quietly, and he fixed his gaze on me. “You are different. Not everyone will like you. You don’t maintain eye contact like others. You can’t last more than two nights outside this Black Tower. You won’t allow anyone near your sisters. You sleep in a bedchamber no one may cross, and you have a talking raven and a mysterious bodyguard.”

I caressed his fingers against my check and sighed.

“But being different makes you stand out. It doesn’t make you bad. Out there, men envy you, women want you. You don’t need to be like anyone else to have a happy life. You don’t need to bond with anyone else. As long as you do right by your people and protect what matters to you, your uniqueness is a blessing.”

His eyes flashed, and he lowered his gaze, frowning.

“That’s what my nanny used to say before I… well, before I stabbed her. Being different is a form of blessing,” he whispered, and I knew who he meant. Blue’s mother.

“You’re sure people want me? The packs?” he asked, searching my eyes.

“I know almost all the packs want to trade with you. You know the nickname we werewolves gave you? Apex. You’re famous.”

He smiled gently.

“Apex is my name,” he said.

I blinked.

“What? But you said Lycannar?”

“Both. My mom gave me Apex; my father named me Lycannar. He hated Apex, said it sounded violent. And… well, he was right, in a way. I am violent. But you saved me from it. If it weren’t for the promise I made to you, I would have… added too many bodies to my long list of victims.”

“Lycan…” I whispered, and he silenced me with a tender kiss, then pulled back to search my eyes, a hint of nervousness there.

“I got you something,” he said, producing a necklace, pure gold with a tiny, almost familial pendant.

I turned my gaze from it to him as he explained,

“You know the anklets I wear? They suppress my beasts. I’m very dangerous without them. I’d shift and never return. This necklace is made from that same spell, but it does the opposite. It enhances your senses, your agility, and alerts me if you’re in danger.”

He swallowed.

“I know it’s a lot to ask, and I trust you can protect yourself. Still… I can’t lose you, Zephyrine. I’d lose myself. Please wear this for me. We’re not mated, and we’re different. Lycan and werewolf but this… this is for your safety.”

I kissed him gently, savoring the moment. His unwavering devotion and love radiated from every gesture. For a brief moment, I debated telling him about my search for my brother, but I pulled back. Lycannar has a kingdom to rule, sisters to care for, and too many burdens to share mine.

“Thank you,” I said, taking the necklace. He watched me for a moment before saying gently, “Anahita will make your breakfast. She’s head of the maids and brought up Blue. My sisters will join you later. When you’re ready, I will wait for you in the throne chamber.”

I nodded. He leaned in to kiss me again.

“Won’t you be mad I didn’t have breakfast with you?” He asked softly. “I’m sorry.”

“Apology accepted. Go on, Lycannar.”

He kissed me one last time and left the chamber. I sat there, staring at the amulet.

He would know anytime I was in danger if I wore it. Slowly, I lowered my gaze to the claw mark on my arm. He hadn’t seen it yet. It wasn’t healing. Definitely, this was a form of danger, too.

Back Where 128

With my hair still dripping, I stepped into the bedchamber to get dressed. The bath had left me feeling refreshed, and I could already perceive the aroma drifting from the kitchen down the hall.

Anahita, the head maid of the Lycan Kingdom, had arrived by the King’s order to prepare breakfast, and just the scent made my mouth water.

She came with two supporting maids, each respectful, treating me exactly like the King’s woman. I had insisted on bathing alone because if the claw mark on my arm was seen, it would surely be whispered to Lycannar, and I wanted none of that.

I moved toward the rows of dresses lining the chamber, selecting one of the many expensive and attractive gowns. Shoes on, I approached the mirror and lifted the curtain to comb my hair.

As a daughter of my mother, I had been taught both how to care for myself and how to allow the maids to assist when needed.

“Mother, you taught me well,” I murmured, humming a light tune. But a cold wind suddenly swirled around the room, stopping me mid–comb.

I turned to the far end of the chamber. The curtain moved again, compelling me to rise from my seat. I approached it, curious why it was laced against the wall in such a way.

The new setting of the room revealed it. Before, when Lycannar hasn’t rearranged his chamber, this curtain and the wall behind it had been concealed.

I was about to return to my seat when my gaze caught something that made me pause. The curtain swirled once more, revealing a wall. I walk towards it to place my palm gently against it.

That was when I realized it was a door.

I hesitated, respecting Lycannar’s privacy. This was his chamber, his domain. I shouldn’t pry. And yet… this was the chamber I would one day share as his wife, his lover. Perhaps I had the right to know.

With my heart pounding, I reached for the doorknob and turned it. Stepping carefully to see I am inside a small armory.

I froze at the sight before me. A suit of war armor, two swords, and a powerful helm stood on display but no shield. Cobwebs told me it had been years since anyone had opened this chamber.

Memories of last night’s conversation resurfaced. He had said something I had overlooked in my anger and restlessness.

“Not all battles make it into history.” He has said.

I stared at the armor again, swallowing hard. As a goddess of war, I could tell rank by observing a warrior’s

armory.

Lycannar was not a foot soldier. Not even a war commander. Perhaps a war general or more. The armor whispered a single word to me.

Warlord.

Lowering my gaze. I left the bedchamber. I recalled the times he sparred with me, how expertly he had cvaded my attacks. Last night, when I had been angry and throw a kick, he had moved with the same precision.

I closed the door behind me and headed walk into the bed chamber once more.

Then it struck me. His horse. A magnificent warhorse. Did that mean the Lycans had fought in battles as well?

“My lady?” A voice broke my reverie.

I turned to see Anahita standing at the threshold, head bowed.

“My lady, breakfast is ready. We will serve the table now.”

I nodded and stepped out.

“I will help. What should I do?” I asked.

She looked at me, astonished, then shook her head.

“Surely you want His Majesty to have our heads? He mentioned you shouldn’t be stressed at all. If he knew you bathed yourself, he might go berserk.”

I nearly sighed, hearing the echo of what Lycannar might say. I smiled and made my way to the dining area but then I pause to give her an appreciative glance. Get full chapters from FindN()vel.net

“Thanks for bringing Blue up. She is very sweet.”

Anahita paused, then covered my hand with hers. A beautiful, elderly gesture.

“When I heard she would serve you next, I was at peace. If His Majesty gave her to you, it means he knows you are pure. And now that I hear you are an Alpha, an Ashmere… I sigh in relief. You will protect her if ever he returned.”

I raised an eyebrow, confused.

“He… who is coming back?”

She seemed momentarily puzzled, stepping closer.

“His Majesty didn’t tell you about Gaxib?”

I frowned.

“Who is Gaxib?”

“Blue elder brother.”

“No. I thought he was dead of seizure.”

“That’s what everyone was made to believe. The former king wanted the household dead, but His Majesty

saved Gaxib before he passed. Princess Mearez cared for him at the healing wing for months, secretly, until he vanished like a thin wind.”

I paused, curiosity and awe building.

“Why would Gaxib flee?”

“He held a grudge against His Majesty. Remember, the King stabbed his mother. Blue forgave him, but Gaxib left a letter, vowing to bring hell to the Lycan Kingdom and reclaim his sister when he returned. It has been over fifteen years and yet he is not here.”

Cold chills ran down my spine.

“So Blue didn’t know her brother survived?”

“No, my lady.”

I swallowed. Lycannar’s kingdom was endlessly mysterious, and I wondered briefly why he had not told me.

Footsteps approached at that moment, and the two Lycan princesses appeared at the doorway.

The knock came again, but I ignored it, just as I had these past days, drowning in the same shock that had gutted me.

Stunned. Blindsided. Humiliated. Regretful. All because of the one person I never expected to rise above

me.

Who would have thought? But then again, she had gotten away with it because Ash Pack members bear no

scent.

I had been a fool not to notice the hints. Back at the Lycan Kingdom, she shot arrows with skill, outmatching Kaela, the famed archer herself.

During the duel, she slaughtered a rogue cleanly, never once trembling. That, too, I dismissed.

And the worst, what tore me open, was the truth of who she really was the white wolf who once saved my life at the festival many years ago.

The hairpin had been hers all along, and when I saw it in her possession, I called her a thief. I believed it was Kaela who had saved me. I loved and worshiped Kaela, blind to the fact that I loved the wrong woman.

A shaky sigh left me as the knock echoed again. Still, I ignored it.

The money she had gifted me to save Hue Pack… so it had come from the compensation offered after the last warlord and his wife’s deaths?

I remembered the stories. I had not been there when the battle raged, but its aftermath was everywhere. Packs trembling in fear. Whispers of demons consuming our empire. No one dared step forward. Who in their right mind would?

Only the Ashmere answered. Only they stood against demons. That was why Ash Pack was revered above all. Thɪs chapter is updated by find·novel·net

And yet, the Moon Goddess fated me to their Alpha and I rejected her. Rejected Zeph. Shamed her under the ugliest of circumstances.

She was never happy here. I gave her nothing but grief. I never respected her, never touched her.

While others mocked and jeered at her, I turned away.

If only I had known who she truly was. If only…

“Nyroth, are you there?” My mother’s voice came again, but then Kai’s cut through.

“Move aside, Mother. I have a spare key.”

I sat on the bed, back turned, blanket pulled over me. I never imagined rejecting Zeph would cause this much ache, yet here I was drowning in it.

“Alpha Nyroth, there is something you must know,” Kai said hurriedly, but I ignored him.

Then my mother’s hand touched my arm gently.

“Nyroth, sit up. Let’s talk about it.”

Her words made my throat burn. Talk? What was left to talk about?

The moment Zeph shifted and collapsed, she was carried away to the Lycan Kingdom and never came back. The answer was clear.

She was recovering under Apex care. She and that cursed lycan king were already bound deep in love.

gods.

“Nyroth…” my mother urged again, but I stayed silent until footsteps neared the doorway. My younger sister, Olivia.

“Is he still like this? What are we going to do?”

No sooner had she spoken than the sound of the pack gate opening carried through. A carriage rolled into the courtyard.

Olivia peered out the window.

“Huh?” she murmured. “It’s Kaela.”

At her name, I sat up sharply, jaw tightening.

Kaela.

She had been the architect of it all. Every deception. Every downfall. She seduced me, lied to me, and cost

me my true mate.

“Bring her here,” I said to Kai for the first time since the rejection. He obeyed,

Soon she appeared, dressed to kill, beautiful and cold. No longer did her eyes seek to seduce me. No bow to my mother. No charm. Just steel.

“Nyroth.” Her voice was curt at the doorway. “We need to go to the Lycan Kingdom.”

My brow arched.

“Why?”

She lifted a parchment.

“According to Princess Serena of the Lycan Kingdom, you and I have been summoned to the throne chamber. To apologize to the maid we insulted at the party.”

Confusion struck.

ט

“Why me? You were the one who insulted her, poured wine on her face. Not me.”

My mother nodded, turning to Kaela for an answer. But Kaela only shrugged.

“You were summoned. You must answer, unless you want the Lycan King himself to come here. We all know how unpredictable he is. He once killed an Alpha openly. You could be next. I’ve said my piece for old time’s sake. Come, or perish.”

With that, she turned and left. The sound of her carriage fading into the distance chilled me.

No one spoke. We all felt it. The truth setting in like a stone in the gut.

It seemed… Kaela was ready to abandon me.

It seemed I was losing on both sides.

“You won’t believe the rumors already circulating the Shifted Empire,” Princess Serena said, mouth full. “They claim you, Zephyrine Ashmere, Alpha of Ash Pack, are… the real deal.”

I stared at her blankly before giggling. The way she had phrased it made the room tense, and for a moment I worried the rumors might be dark.

“I hate being the talk of everyone in the empire. That’s why I accepted my prize quietly, when I was named the Goddess of War in silence, in private.”

“You still can’t escape being the talk,” Princess Mearez chimed in, reaching for her goblet, which I filled for her.

“Thanks,” she said, sipping, then set it down. “You are an Ashmere. That alone is enough for everyone to speak of. I wouldn’t be surprised if that man who calls himself your mate came begging you now.”

Princess Serena turned sharply toward her sister, almost glaring.

“He wouldn’t even dare,” she said. “Not even with a case here in the Lycan Kingdom.”

I raised an eyebrow.

“Nyroth?”

“Is that his name?” Princess Serena asked, reaching for the scroll she had brought and reading briefly before nodding. “He’s been summoned to the throne chamber with that rude lady, Kaela. Both will apologize to the maid they humiliated at the party. Your best friend, the host, will also be there.”

I blinked in awe.

“Dessyn? Wow. Is she… safe?”

“Yes. She’s only there to provide explanation. My baby brother won’t harm anyone you care for. You are our wife. Our queen.”

I laughed softly, shaking my head.

“Being a queen sounds boring. Imagine sitting in meetings all day?”

“Lycannar shares that mindset,” Mearez said with a laugh. “When Father first called him to court to learn how to rule, Lycannar dozed off in the meeting. And he paid dearly for it.”

I laughed, taking another bite.

“That day wasn’t funny then, but recalling it now…” Mearez’s voice softened as she swallowed. “Father had him kneel in the arena for a month straight. Fell gravely ill when finally released. No healer was allowed. He had to go straight to court and endure the meetings while sick.”

The breakfast atmosphere turned sour, and I unconsciously dropped my cutlery.

“Do you have to tell her that, Mearez? You’re killing the mood,” Serena scolded. Both sisters looked at me.

“It’s nothing. I’m fine,” I said softly, though neither believed me. I lowered my gaze, sighing. No wonder Lycannar felt unloved. His father, who should have been a mentor, had never treated him well.

“May I ask a question?” I said gently. They paused, looking at me. “Lycannar, is he a warrior too?”

***

I walked through the hall with Princess Mearez at my side, leading me to the guest hall where Jurrek was staying.

Maids and passing Lycans bowed deeply. Princess Serena had left the dining hall early to attend to the throne chamber, while Anahita cleared the dishes.

We walked in silence until Mearez stopped at an entrance.

“He’s staying here. The last chamber. You should go in.”

I looked at the door ahead, hesitating, when she gave me a gentle smack on the arm.

“You naughty lady!” she teased. “You know the Beta of Ash Pack closely and listened to my words about him without telling me? You must have mocked me, Zephyrine Ashmere.”

I giggled, shaking my head. I know what she meant.

“How could I dare? For what?” I laughed again when she playfully glared. “I heard things about you him too, but since you just smacked me, I’ll keep it to myself.”

Pretending to step past, I tried to slip by, using my agility. She wasn’t a warrior so it was easily done.

“You’ll be a queen, Zephyrine. How do you expect to survive without me when you plan to give the kingdom an heir?” she teased. “Out with it, and I’ll grant you lifelong healthcare. Free of charge.”

from

Her words made me pause. A kingdom heir. Slowly, the smile left my lips. Thinking I was teasing, she smacked my left arm, the one Lycannar had clawed. Pain shot through me, and I leaned on her slightly.

She froze, awe written across her face.

“Zephyrine…”

Footsteps interrupted. A familiar scent and voice reached me before I saw him.

Jurrek.

“Alpha Zephyrine?”

I straightened, moving away from Princess Mearez, setting my jaw against the pain. Concealing it, I turned to Jurrek, who emerged looking as glorious as ever. The same scroll he had held the other night remained in his hand.

“My lady,” he greeted Mearez, who gave a low nod before turning away, visibly swallowing hard. Jurrek’s gaze lingered on her briefly, then shifted to me as he bowed.

“How are you feeling now?”

I nodded, ignoring the pain in my arm.

“Perfect.”

“You need to read this. It’s urgent. A letter written by him. He who claim to know about about your brother. People call him the Mirror Monger.”

I nodded gently, taking the scroll, and walked a few paces away to read.

The Mirror Monger had written that I, Alpha of Ash Pack with Ashmere blood, must come alone. Then he would speak to me face–to–face about my missing brother.

I gulped as I folded the scroll, sighing. The journey was inevitable… and by tonight, I would likely have to go.
