Ch. 551..555: The Werewolf's Vampire Mate Chapter 551-555
Chapter 551: Luckiest man on earth
Blue
I walk into my room and all the memories come crawling in. The past that I hate so much. All the suffering. This place is not a good place for me. This place will never be a good place for me but I have to be here.
It is four AM. I am so sure that Gyles is worried. So sure that he would be waiting for my call. I drop the bag with me on the floor and sit down on the bed. I don’t even want to look around, I don’t want to see the things that I left behind. I grab my phone from my pocket and dial his number immediately.
It takes a while for him to answer but he eventually does and his voice is juddering. I wish this wasn’t a phone call and I could hold him right now.
"You are okay, I was sick with worry,’’ he blurts into the phone. A smile crawls to my face because I knew he would be.
"Is Rex awake?’’
"How can he be asleep? Is that even possible?’’
I chuckle because he is overreacting right now but I will allow him. I will let him do anything right now "Hey,’’ I hear Rex’s voice on the other end of the line. He sounds just as tense and Gyles. I don’t like leaving them in the dark. I wouldn’t like it if the tables were turned.
"How are you baby?’’ I direct my question to Rex. Just because Rex is quiet and not as problematic as Gyles, doesn’t mean he is not feeling the same things. I know that he is scared right now, I know that he would feel the guilt if anything happened to me.
"How are you, how did it go?’’
I take a deep breath because I know that this is what they would want to know. "She doesn’t suspect anything—at least I think so. She let me stay in my room for the night, also, she is setting up a meeting with the elders tomorrow. I am going to try to convince them to let you guys come to the coven. That way, it would be easier than sneaking around."
"What do you mean by come to the coven?’’ Gyles asks curiously.
I don’t even know what she meant but I know what it means to join the coven and it is more like a blood oath. Something that I don’t ever want them to be involved in. I never even fully committed to the coven. I never even gave them my promise, so I will not let them do that.
"Don’t worry, it will not get to that. Once we find what we are looking for, we are going to leave.’’ I assure them even though I am not even sure about it.
"It is not going to be that easy,’’ Gyles interjects.
I nod "I know that, but we will be fine as long as we are together.’’ "What if she suspects something?’’ "Nothing is going to happen,’’ I say with a confidence that would fool even myself. I know that she already suspects something, there is no way she is not suspicious of me right now but at the end of everything mother always liked to think that I would eventually become like her.
She used my weakness to manipulate me.
She lied to me all my life about who my father was, she made me think he abandoned me. Made me find out about my true self late in life and then she used that to her advantage. Having someone as a minion, someone you could control. That was what I was to her.
"I miss you,’’ Rex confesses and the sound of his voice is like slow music in a quiet room.
He is being vulnerable and I love this part of him, the part that opens up to me. The part that tells me how he feels.
"I miss you too, can I see your faces. Switch this to video?’’ I ask Gyles.
I get the request and their faces pop up. Both beautiful and everything I love. There is a smile on Gyles’s face but Rex has a sad expression on his. His glasses are off, his curly hair is a mess on his head. The most adorable sight, right in front of me.
"Hi,’’ I mutter running my free hand through my hair to get the strands off my face.
"Hi,’’ they both respond at the same time.
I stare at them for a couple of seconds, no words, just me in this room alone, staring at my life through a phone screen. They don’t say anything, we don’t need to use words right now, and I can feel them even though they are not close to me.
My heart throbs against my chest because they are mine.
I have two people who love me irrevocably and even though I have felt unlucky all my life. Suddenly I don’t feel that way anymore. I am the luckiest man on earth because of them.
I have nothing else I need.
"I love you guys so much,’’ I speak out finally. There is no need to tell them this because there already know but I just want to.
"We know,’’ Gyles winks.
I chuckle because he is being cheeky "We need to talk about our future once this is all sorted. I want to do better by the two of you. I want to treat you guys better."
Rex smiles slowly and my heart melts completely at how beautiful he looks right now.
Fucking lucky.
"How are you really doing?’’ Gyles asks.
I shrug "Being back here is really stressful. Reminds me of the past that I want to forget so badly. I know she is the one, I can feel it in my bones but she is acting like she isn’t. She thinks she is so smart."
"She is not going to win, she will get what is coming.’’
I take a deep breath because his words are soothing.
I can’t wait for that day.
Chapter 552: Together
Blue
I open my eyes the next morning and the sun is brightly shining through the window in the room. There are sounds coming from outside. Peoples voices, cars and birds outside my windows. I sit up on the bed and run my hands through my long hair.
I am low on sleep.
I tossed and turned all night thinking about today and the meeting with the elders. This is not something I want to have to go through.
Lying to those people even though I know it is the only way I would be able to stay in this place. After today, I will look for the room. I need to find the place she murdered all those people.
I hear footsteps outside my door and in a second the door opens, revealing Badger. There is a smile on his face. He looks excited and I don’t like it one bit.
"Good morning son,’’ he stops in front of my bed. I am seated upright with my back resting on the headboard.
My upper body is exposed as I am only wearing a pair of boxers.
I hate that she is calling me son because I know what it means to her. I know that she is not saying it as Badger but as my mother.
I don’t know what is going through her head. She must know that I am suspicious. This must be a game to her. One that she is enjoying so much. "Good morning,’’ I stand up from the bed and walk over to the chair, slowly picking up my shirt from it.
’I have good news.’’
I look at him once I am done putting on the shirt.
"They have agreed to see you and your mates.’’
I raise a brow in suspicion "What does that mean?’’
"You know what it means. if they are going to give you a second chance, you need to take the oath and make a pact. You have avoided it for so long and it shows that you are not committed. Are you ready to commit to this coven?"
The pact.
"With my mates?’’
She nods "This will be the first time that werewolves would be accepted in the coven but we could use their strength. We could use them to our advantage."
Use their strength?
This is going downhill.
I don’t like the words that are leaving her lips. I don’t want them to be involved in this. I knew this was going to be the only option but do I really need to drag them into this. Can’t I just handle this on my own? Do I have to bring them into the coven?
"There is no other option, why do you look so doubtful? This is something you should be happy about. They are only agreeing to this because of me.’’
"What if they are not ready to commit?’’
He frowns "What do you mean?’’
"The oath, what if they need time to think about it?’’
"Think about it, why would they come with you to a coven full of witches if they haven’t already thought about it? This sounds like doubt from you. If you are having doubts Blue, the best thing for you to do is go back to the pack. Don’t come here and make a mess of things that I have worked so hard for."
His voice is strained. He sounds angry and this is far from what I want.
"No, we are not going back. I am here to stay."
He smiles, his teeth white and exposed "Better. They will see you by noon, so have them here before then."
He walks out of the room and I let out a long sigh of frustration. I am not settled on this but I know that if I talk to Gyles about it, he would insist on doing this with me. He wouldn’t want to lose the opportunity to come into the coven.
I look at the clock on the wall and it is just a little over seven in the morning. I need to go back to the hotel and talk to them.
**********************
"We’re doing this,’’ Gyles utters deadpan.
There is no hesitation in his tone. He sounds like he has already made up his mind about this "Eleanor will help us find the room." he sounds too excited.
I don’t like this.
"It is not that easy.’’
"Why not?’’
"He mentioned something about an oath, what does that mean Blue?’’ Rex asks me. He seems to be the only one listening right now.
"It’s a commitment to the coven. A blood oath that would tie you to the place. I don’t want to tie you guys to that place. I don’t even want to be tied to it but if it is something I have to do, then I will do it.’’
"We don’t have to do it but we can agree to it." Gyles suggests.
I have thought of that but I don’t want to risk it and then they will be at the short end of the stick. I really don’t want to involve them in this.
"It is not that straightforward, what if they want to do this immediately?’’
"Then we do this. Once we get rid of Analise, things in that place can get better and it wouldn’t be so bad after all."
I like Gyles’s optimism but I am so scared that I will end up hurting them because of this. They came to this place because of me. I don’t want to mess their lives up. I want so much more from them and it is not this.
"We are doing this together Blue, don’t you try to push us out of this.’’ Gyles stare is strong. Like I said, he has already made up his mind and I am not here to try to convince him. I want them with me, I want to do this with them.
"I am with you too,’’ Rex smiles.
I guess we are doing this together.
Chapter 553: Make you feel better
Gyles
I hear him when he opens the shower. The sound of water travels through the hotel room. Rex is packing up our things again. We are going to the coven. We have made up our minds to do this and I am not even scared. I want to fix things and this seems like the only way to do it.
I knew that Blue wasn’t okay with involving us in this but he agreed to it. This is like the first time he has actually listened to me and agreed to what I want.
There was this overwhelming joy inside me. He said he was going to trust me; he was going to do better and I can feel him trying.
That is all that matters to me.
I stand up from the bed and walk into the bathroom. The mirror is foggy from all the heat from the shower but I see him through the transparent door. His hand is resting on the wall as the water falls down on him. His eyes are closed, so he doesn’t see me as I open the shower and walk into it fully clothed.
The water touches my arm as I reach for him and he jumps away so fast that I have to hold him from falling. His eyes shoot open as he realizes it is me "Gyles, you scared the shit out of me.’’
I wrap my arms around his waist as the water starts to wet my hair "You are getting all wet,’’ he tells me quietly.
I shrug. Right now, I just want to be close to him. I want to hold him, kiss him, I want to love the shit out of him. "I don’t mind, can I take them off?’’ I ask him, slowly batting my lashes.
A slow smile crawls on his face as he leans forward, resting his forehead on mine "This feels nice,’’ he inhales quietly.
I pull him closer as his chest rises and falls against me. My hands are still engulfed around him as his lips rest against mine for a kiss. I don’t hesitate as our mouths merge into one. This kiss is perfect. I want to give him everything.
I want to love him the way he loves me.
Blue is scared right now; he might try to act tough but I know him. I feel the fear as it radiates off him. I know this is a lot for him. His mother is the cause of all our problems and somehow, he just can’t seem to get rid of her.
She always finds a way of crawling into his life and it is taking a toll on him. I move my mouth with his and he welcomes me wholeheartedly. I feel him against me, his touch is fire against the water trail on my skin. My shirt is soaked, his body is warm. It is a kind of magic that excites me.
I am feeding him all my energy.
I am so certain that we will have the last laugh in this. We are going to win this fight. If he doesn’t think so, I will believe for the two of us.
"Take it off,’’ he moans as he pushes me to the wall. My back hits the wall and a smile surge to my face. I am so excited.
I want to make him feel good.
He reaches for my shirt and I let him take it off immediately. Glad to be rid of the wet material. His hands run over my chest. I close my eyes as I get into his touch. The pleasure is immense and immeasurable. My breathings spikes up as I try to control my reaction to his touch. I try to stand strong but fail. He is quick to hold me tighter. Keep me on my feet as his mouth devours mine as he helps me with the rest of my clothes.
"We have to be at the coven before noon,’’ he pulls away from me slowly. I don’t want to stop; I don’t want him to stop.
"There is still time, let me make you feel good.’’
I grab his dick and he grunts out an exhale, completely lost in my touch. That is the way I want him to react when I touch him. My lips stay on his as I stroke him slowly at first. He pushes his body into me and my back rubs against the wall as I quicken my pace. The sounds that come from him send me over the wall. The faster I stroke, the more he reacts.
"More," he moans into my mouth as I continue to stroke him. In a flash, he reaches for me and turns me around completely off guard "Not enough,’’ he grunts into my ear seductively. Water drops all over my body but he is the only one that I can focus on. He is the only thing I can feel.
I try to turn back, to see him but he holds me up on the wall. "I want to fuck you; can we do this without Rex?’’ he asks. That line getting lost again. There is this part of our relationship that we still don’t understand. The guilt we feel when we are not together. It is almost like cheating. I don’t think it is.
I love them both equally. I want to have sex with them both equally. Right now, Blue is vulnerable and I want to make him feel good. "Fuck me,’’ I order him immediately as I feel him push into me roughly. The pain vanishes and is replaced with that tingly feeling. The one that just drives me crazy.
"Go deeper,’’ I beg desperately.
He groans as he pulls my face closer to him and merges his lips to mine. My hands clutch unto him desperately. I want to feel closer to him, even though I know that this is the closest we can get. There is not more than this and as he thrusts deeper into me, my screams get loudly. His hands touch me and like fire, it burns me until I feel it in my toes. We keep at it, none of us wanting to stop until we feel that release. That blissful escape that only comes ever so intensely.
He falls unto me gently and I grab him as I feel the warmth of his cum inside me. "Fuck, G." He calls me out as I turn to him slowly.
’’Yeah.’’
I have no words.
"You should finish up here,’’ I tell him as I wash him off slowly. He smiles as he leans forward and presses his lips to mine.
"Thank you, I needed this.’’ he smiles.
I leave him in the shower and go out with one of the towels. Rex looks up from the clothes with a smile on his face. There is no way he didn’t hear us in there but the smile is proof that he doesn’t care that we did that without him.
He walks over to me and kisses me softly on my lips
Chapter 554: A flash of a vision
Blue
The drive to the coven is quiet.
I am nervous and terrified of all that I have agreed to.
I know there is no other way out of this and I have to come to terms with this decision. Gyles has been trying to make me feel better and It has been working.
I am sure that I can protect the two of them If it comes to that.
I am not going to let it come to that.
"What is the plan?" Rex manages in question.
There is no plan "You are willing to join the coven. Be part of this community and desert yours. For now, I want it to just be words. I will find a way to delay the commitment. All we have to do is find the room and then figure out what we are going to do next."
He raises a brow and I see the doubt in his eyes.
"Do you think she would believe us? I don’t think it is going to be that easy."
I know it is not going to be that easy but I also would like us to expose her before it gets to that point. For now, I know that she genuinely thinks I am back. This is not the first time that I have run away from home. When I was younger, I left thinking I could survive in the outside world. That was before I knew about Jules. She didn’t look for me, she never even asked me to come back.
It was almost like she waited for me to come back.
Like she knew I was going to come back to her. Like there was some invisible force that was pulling me to her. Right now, she thinks this is like the last time. She thinks I am back because I can’t survive in the outside world.
She thinks I would only be happy with her and that is why I believed this is going to work. The only thing I have to make sure of is that we do this as quickly as possible.
"It is going to work. I just need you guys to be as believable as possible."
He nods "Okay.’’
Right now, the people we need to convince are the elders and it seems like she has them wrapped around her fingers. Like they would agree to anything she tells them to.
I park the car in front of the house and I see Badger by the door. I don’t know how she knew we were here but it freaks me out a little bit.
’’Why is he just staring at us?’’ Rex asks.
’I don’t know. He has been acting weird since I came back. I know she has her doubts. She is not a hundred percent certain that I am for real. Let’s just get down and see what she has to say.’’
They get down from the car as I do and we all walk together, till we get to her.
"You are all here,’’ there is a smile on his face as he watches us. I keep my eyes on him—her, trying to sense anything. I used to be really subpar at my senses. I would know how someone felt, what someone was thinking but with her, it is a blank wall. I can’t push through it, I can’t get past it, even a little crack.
Whatever she is doing is strong—very strong.
"Are we ready for this?’’ She asks me calmly.
I look at Gyles and Rex and they both nod at the same time.
"Yeah, we are.’’
He leads us down the steps and down to the stairs to the basement, or rather. The part of the house where the meetings are held. Where I was judged and forced to do things. I don’t like this place, I wish I didn’t have to face this but at the end of it all, it is something that I have to do. Something that I have to face.
I see the elders at their judgy round table. Their gazes are strong and very intimidating but this time, something doesn’t feel right. Badger doesn’t follow us, I turn around to the door as she stops and closes it slowly. Almost like she is letting me know that I have to face this on my own.
Well with Gyles and Rex. I turn back to the elders and the strict expression on their face deters me. How am I supposed to convince these people? There is something in the air that I can’t pinpoint. Something that scares me. This is not the first time I have been to this room before. This is not the first time I have been with these people but unlike all the other times, something is strange.
They remain quiet as I take steps forward with Gyles and Rex until we get to the middle of the circle. I stand between Gyles and Rex and I look at the two elders in front of me.
"You are here because you all want to join the coven? You are willing to do anything to join the coven?’’
Magnus is the first to speak up, his voice is strong and calm. Even though he sounds the same as he always did. it just doesn’t feel like he is the same person I met the last time.
Major said a lot of things have changed in the coven and I know to expect the unexpected from my mother but I just can’t pinpoint what it is that has changed with these people.
"Yes,’’ I speak up, trying to stay firm.
I don’t plan to spend more than a week in this place. It takes about a. week to prepare for the oath. If we can do what we need to do here before the week runs out, then I can get us out of here before it gets worse.
"Your partners don’t look like they feel the same way.’’ Willow points out. Her eyes fixed on them.
I close my eyes as I take a deep breath "We feel the same way,’’ Gyles mutters bravely. I feel the chills as I open my eyes but I am not in the room anymore. Gyles and Rex are not next to me anymore. It is like a flash but clear as day. I see their bodies, massacred and bloody. It feels so real. The elders are dead.
I shake my head and I am back in the room.
Back in front of them.
Chapter 555: Giving in to the temptation
Blue
"Do you agree to this?’’ Magnus calls me out to snap me out of my thoughts—or should I say, whatever it is I just saw. I don’t even know if it is the past or the present. I just know that they are either dead or they would be killed.
The only person that I can think of that would be responsible for this is Analise. My mother is the one person we need to get rid of. "Yes sir,’’ I answer immediately, trying to snap out of it. Suddenly, it all makes sense, the fact that I felt like something was wrong. A smile resides on his face but it feels like this is not real.
Like they are not really here. The only scents that feel real are Gyles and Rex. They are the only ones that are real in this room.
I turn to Gyles and notice that he is watching me "Then we have a deal, the oath would be carried on the 14thof this month. Get ready to be part of the society." Willow mutters with an excited smile on her face but all I can focus on is the fact that we have only a week just I had suspected. A week should be enough time to look around, a week should be enough time to get the answers that we need. Find the room, free the spirits and find a way to reveal that Analise is not who she says she is.
I don’t know if the elders are actually alive, or dead and if there is a way to figure that out too then I will.
"Alright," we all say in unison.
We leave the room and Badger is outside, there is a wide smile on his face. It seems like he already knew what went on inside the room. I don’t even care about what was said. All I care about is that strange vision and why It even came to me in the first place. There is a lot. Of confusion in my mind. It seems like my willed sense just keeps fluctuating.
"It went well, right?’’ Badger asks. At this point, I just want to call her what she is. This is Analise, my mother, so identifying her as someone else just makes me upset.
"Yes, it did.’’
I don’t want to even be talking to her. I don’t want to see her; I don’t want to be in close proximity with her. We all walk back up the stairs and out of the dark basement and when we get into the main house, she turns away from us "Take this week to get around, this week to get used to things. Once you take the oath, there is no going back.’’
This is like a threat. I can see it in his eyes. A warning to us that there is no going back from this but I don’t care. I know what I need to do and I know that I need to fix things. I watch her as she turns away from us and starts to head in the opposite direction of the mansion. She turns to me with a last glance and my eyes open wide in shock.
I see it, her eyes. My mother’s eyes at that moment. Almost like she is letting me know who she is. Telling me that she is still alive and that she is not going anywhere. I don’t know what the point is of all this but this is just getting too much for me.
"Something is very wrong here, something that I can’t figure out.’’
"They were all dead.’’
I turn to Gyles as the words leave his lips. "I saw something inside that room. They were there but they weren’t really there, does that make any sense.’’ I tell him because it seems like he might have seen the same thing I did.
"What are you guys talking about?’’ Rex manages in an attempt to hide his confusion.
"I saw it too.’’ Gyles affirms "Somehow, I could see things for what they are in that room. They weren’t really there."
"She used a spell,’’ I state.
"Are you guys saying she killed all the elders of the coven? The people that are supposed to be the most powerful in the coven. That makes no sense."
"I know what I saw. They are all dead.’’
I don’t know how Gyles saw it but I am sure it has something to do with the book. I have been thinking of a way to fight fire with fire. My mother’s magic is powerful. The only kind of magic that can fight hers has to come from the book. I have to use the book. Gyles is an opening, a way to use it.
"I need to see the book.’’
Gyles raises a brow "It’s in the car,’’ he tells me.
I nod my head "You guys go on to the room. I will get the bags from the car." I grab Rex’s hand in mine "You remember the way?’’
He nods immediately.
I leave them and walk over to the front door. All thoughts stuck on what I am about to do. I have hated the fact that Gyles has been so tethered to that book and here I am, wanting to do the same. Maybe this is desperation. I am fucking at the ends of my ropes. I am tired of this back and forth. Tired of all this bullshit and if I have to take this turn.
Make a connection to the book of evil.
I stop outside the house and my heart thuds heavily as I think about what I am doing.
Should I do this?
I ask my wolf. My number one confidant. The part of me that I have learned to embrace. I listen to the beating of my heart as I wait for a response. I already know what my wolf is going to say. I know that my wolf will be on the same page as me.
Anything to get these fuckers.
