Chapter 56
Soon the sound of heels clicking on the floor could be heard as it approached the small farm house. Ciara tried to sit herself up straight, she wanted to clearly see the person who has been torturing her all this time. The woman in heels was too fast as by the time she entered, Ciara was stll struggling to sit up.
“hahaha hahaha, my my my Ciara Williams, I told you I would get you. Look at you now! Seems like I was too linient on you at the shooting site as you haven’t stayed away from my man till now. So now I will teach you another lesson, but this one, oh my Ciara you would never forget and Liam would never look at you ever again. Hahaha. He will surely be disgusted by you. “
Ciara was in too much pain to even entertain all the rubbish that Laura was talking, but before she could suffer the greatest harm of her life, she needed to find answers.
” why are you doing all of this Laura, I have never offended you in any way but you keep on inflicted harm upon me, what is it that you want from me huh? Why, don’t you think you’ve done enough with internet stunt?”
” Done enough?… Ohw Ciara we are only getting started, in fact you don’t deserve to live. I should be killing you off right now and bury your defiled body here where no one can ever find you, not even your precious Liam. Owh and you say you have never offended, let me tell you something girly, you offended my the day you laid your filthy eyes on my man. Liam Jones is mine and mine only, only I can be with him. “
Ciara shuddered when she heard that, she knew one thing. No man or woman in their right state of mind could go to such lengths for a man who didn’t even care if she existed or not and who had never made any advances to her. Liam was basically her crush and Luara was deeply obsessed with him. She couldn’t allow any woman go near the man she wanted the most.
Seeing that Ciara was now quiet, she then gave an order to the men in the room to Finnish of the work they were hired to do, while she fished out a camera in one of the drawers near her.
” Let’s see if Liam would want you now after he sees how filthy you are. You are loose indeed sleeping with 5 men at the same time hehehe.”
She said the last part with so much disgust, you’d swear she wasn’t the one instructing those men to rape Ciara. Listening to her words one would actually think that it was all Ciara’s choice.
As the men who had been looking at her as if she was a piece of meat all along walked happily toward her, Ciara got even more terrified, she tried to push her body back in an attempt to escape.
“please don’t do this, please, whatever it is that she paid I’ll double it, wait I’ll triple it just don’t touch me.”
She cried out begging them for mercy but alas, these men were far gone, l**t had taken over all their rationality. She could clearly see all their bulges and knew right there and then that she was doomed. She closed her eyes, wrapped her arms around her knees and prepared for the worst.
“I’m sure going to enjoy you tonight, hahaha, after I’ve had my fill, they can all join in. Mhhhm.”
Just as the man was about rip off the dress on Ciara’s body, he felt the most excruciating pain he’s ever felt in his life as he was sent flying by Liam’s kick exactly on the bulging area. He cried so loud you’d swear he was about to die, all the other men also cried in pain as they were beaten up by Liam’s men.
Liam then crouched down and pulled Ciara to him but noticed her body stiffened, he held her chin up so that she could look at him in the eyes but could only see tears streaming down Ciara’s closed eyes.
He wiped the tears and called out to her,
“sweetheart.” his voice was soft containing sadness, guilty and wrath in it, but Ciara could still recognize that voice as she slowly opened her eyes. Soon a blurry figure of the man she trusted the most came to her view.
“Liam?”
She couldn’t believe her eyes, she thought they were deceiving her, so she had to confirm.
Liam though didn’t say anything but pulled her in for a hug, and that confirmed everything for her, as, as soon as she was in his arms she was able to smell Liam’s Familiar signature scent. She then immediately tighten her hand around him and dared not to let go, it was as if she she had found her safe heaven.
Liam then picked her up and walked her out but as soon as they passed the area where Laura was, Laura lost it and tried to break free from the bodyguard’s grip but when she realized that she couldn’t, she tried to beg.
” Liam please don’t do this to me, I love you, can’t you be with me for once, I’m more suitable that she is. Don’t you love me?”
Liam paused a little and looked at the Laura with disgust, he knew if he didn’t teach her a lesson right at that time Laura would never stop but for now he needed to get her princess out of that place.
” Hey Liam don’t you dare walk away from me, we belong together. You would never be happy with that trash, look what she did, she seduced all five men.”
Seeing that Liam didn’t do anything to her and only beat up her men, Laura became bold enough to even to stop Liam. She was determined to make him hers.
” Dare say that about my wife again and see if you’ll ever talk again. “
His wife?……
Chapter 57
Wife? What does he mean his wife. Wasn’t Ciara also trying to seduce him all this while? So when did they get married, she still dresses poorly and if they were married, she would be draped in luxury and not these rags. That’s it! He is lying to me, he must be. I’m the only woman he will ever marry, only I can be Mrs Jones and not that trash. ‘ Laura thought to herself, but by the time she regained her composure Liam was no longer by her side, hence she lost it.
” I will kill you Ciara Williams, Mark my words, I will kill you.”
Tired of keeping her in place the bodyguard knocked her out and then tied her up on the stool he found on the property.
On the other side Ciara was still traumatized, it had not sinked in yet that she had been rescued from the tragedy. She was wrapped up in Liam’s arms but refused to talk which got Liam worried, he thought of the possibility of them doing something to his wife before he got the chance to rescue her, and with that he commanded the driver to send them to the hospital where Ciara underwent some tests and it was determined that she was greatly traumatized and she suffered yet another concussion.
The doctor attended to her injuries and then prescribed her some medication before telling her to rest for a few days. A week to be exact.
Liam brought her back to their house and not the Jones family residence. He wanted his wife to be in a peaceful environment with no disturbance. When they got home he led her to their bedroom and ran a bath for her and left her to clean herself up before going to the kitchen to whip up something she could stomach. It was a very light but nutritious chicken soup.
When he was done he took a bowl upstairs in a tray for her and luckily Ciara was also done with her bath by the time he got to the bedroom, they both sat by the sitting area with two sofas while Ciara drank her soup.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you when it all happened, but I’ll make sure she never touches you again.”
” come on, it’s not your fault either. Who would have known that she was behind all of this and that she was this obsessed about you. I’m just glad that I’m still intact and you came before those filthy men could even lay a finger on me. For that I’m grateful to you. “
” let’s not get worked up because of this, you need to rest. “
he then prepared the medication for her and also included some sleeping pills which would definitely knock her out for the rest of the evening.
They continued talking for a while about random things, Liam was actually trying to distract her from thinking about the traumatic events of that day. She soon drifted to a slumber while still sitting on the sofa. So being the caring husband that he is, Liam carried his wife to the bed and tucked her in before turning to leave.
He took his phones and walked out of the house, he was determined to make Laura pay for what she had done to his sweetheart. He drove straight to the farmhouse where Laura was kept captive.
When Liam said he would make Laura pay, he wasn’t joking at all. When he arrived at the farmhouse his two friends were already waiting there for him, but it wasn’t just Matthew and Finnick present at the entrance of the farmhouse. They had brought with them five shabby looking men. They were not the ones Laura had paid or hired, these men were far worse. They were dressed in rags and some had an awful smell, you’d swear they had not had a bath in days and probably were beggers.
Liam exchanged greetings with his friends and they then walked inside. They found Laura still unconscious and since Liam did not have the patience to wait till she wakes up, he took a bucket full of ice water and poured all it’s contents on the poor woman.
Laura woke up in shock but soon composed herself when she saw Liam, she chose not to acknowledge all the people in the room and focus on the man she desired the most.
“woooo Liam baby, I knew you would come for me. That skank definitely does not deserve to be with a glorious man like you. Come to me I would show you the world.”
Laura tried to be as seductive as she could, given the circumstance that she was in.
” skank you say huh? That woman you are talking about is my wife, the same person you tried to defile with your goons, now you will surely feel how it’s like to have five men have their way with you. If you can do it to another woman, you must be able to handle it yourself when the tables are turned. “
With that Liam turned to leave. Maybe it had not sinked in Laura’s mind what Liam meant as she didn’t look worried or scared at all.
” ha ha ha ha she deserved everything that happened to her, if I was given a chance I would do it again. You come back here Liam, you are mine and mine alone……. Aaaaaaah!”
As Liam left the hall the bodyguards had already signaled to the five shabby men to do their thing, which was probably why Laura had started screaming.
” is her boarding house ready? “
As soon as they entered the car Liam asked Matthew the lawyer that question.
Chapter 58
By that time Matthew had already been prepared and had done all the necessary things he was asked to do in order to keep Laura away from hurting Ciara again.
” yeah, she will be in a psychiatric hospital in city D. She wouldn’t be able to be discharged unless we sign those release papers for her.”
Knowing that the woman wouldn’t be hurting his wife again Liam acknowledged with a nod as he was also satisfied with the outcome. Nobody messes with his family and gets away with it so easily.
They left everything to be handled by Larry and the head of security as they returned to Liam’s place to relax as it had been a very stressful day. They relaxed over some whiskey and cigars and a chilled conversation, listening to them now, one would swear nothing traumatic had happened that very day. This was probably their way of getting over things.
As it was now very late at night Finnick and Matthew didn’t stay long at all they had to leave.
It wasn’t until the next day that Ciara woke up, to her surprise she was now in the bed and Liam was lying right next to her with his eyes closed. She took the time to admire the man who had saved her life countless times, the only man she could rely on and most probably the only person aside from her friends, who genuinely cared about her. She found herself gently brushing her hand on his cheek and gave him a light peck before whispering.
” Thank you. ”
Liam’s lips curved in to a smile as he slowly opened his eyes.
” anything for you sweetheart. ”
He then lazily wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer to him.
” let’s rest for a while, don’t go. ”
Ciara’s trauma from the previous day should be trigger when Liam pulled her in so unexpectedly, but she too was surprised by how she reacted. Instead of being scared to her wits, she actually found comfort in his arms. That was her safest place, in Liam’s arms.
They cuddled for a short while before Ciara’s stomach gave her out, it made a loud rumbling sound, telling Liam that she was extremely hungry. Ciara was so embarrassed by her tummy that she wanted to hide, she herself did not feel hungry. But she could be lying to herself as her tummy said otherwise.
Liam let go of her, and went to the bathroom to freshen up, leaving Ciara behind who thought Liam probably left the room because he was annoyed by the sound of her rumbling stomach.
Not long after that, Liam came back in the room with only a towel wrapped around his wet body.
” Are you not going to freshen up so that we could go down for breakfast? ”
” owh ” _” …. ‘
Ciara who had been buried under the blankets, shot up and ran straight to the bathroom to wash herself up. By the time she got there, she noticed her cheeks had gone red as she was still embarrassed by the whole situation.
“arg Ciara what is wrong with you, why can’t you get yourself together.”
She said that as she slapped both sides of her cheeks. She took her time to get ready and then headed down to the dining area where she found Liam sitting, waiting patiently for her to come and join him. As soon as she sat down Ms Nicky emerged from the kitchen with their warm food and placed it on the table, and they started filling their stomachs.
” How are you feeling now? ”
When it comes to his wife’s well-being Liam will always put her first, and at this moment he did not care about any table manners. He just wanted to know how she was handling everything and how she was coping with all that has happened.
Ciara paused for a second, maybe she was probably trying to digest the question or it had caught her off guard.
” uhm I guess I’m fine, nothing really happened to me, so I’m just trying to forget about everything and hope that it would never happen again. ”
” it’s a good thing to try to move past what happened but also remember that if you need to talk about it I’m here for you. I don’t want you to go back to work while you’re still carrying a lot of burden on you.”
”hubby, thank you!! ”
Liam who was about to put a spoon of porridge in his mouth paused then looked at Ciara in a confused yet surprised manner.
” what did you just say? ”
” Well I said thank you, I’m really grateful to have someone like you in my life, someone who truly cared about my well being and who’s protective of me and one that I could rely on . So for that, thank you. ”
” No No not that, the first part. What did you call me? ”.
Apon hearing that Ciara face palmed herself for being an idiot. After such a long speech, all this man cared for, was how I addressed him ‘arg’.
” what’s wrong with it? I said hubby. ”
” say it again. ”
‘hubby…. Uuuh!! ‘
She couldn’t even finish what she was about to say when Liam lifted her up from her chair and was currently sitting on his lap while he kissed her.
Right at that moment moment a group of foot steps could be heard approaching them coming from the main entrance.
Chapter 59
‘ I don’t understand though how could that woman be so heartless, why would she bring such a calamity to another woman. ”
” I swear to God, if anything happened to Ciara I will kill that woman with my own two hands. Mark my words. “
” You shouldn’t be negative, we are here to see how she is, don’t add on to the burden she’s currently carrying, OK.”
Yeap these were Ciara’s friends and some people from the Jones’ family, they were all here to see how Ciara was doing and be there for her during her healing process. They actually wanted to come as soon as they found out that Liam had rescued her but he advised them otherwise as Ciara still needed to rest.
Now as they walked in the house they were all shocked to see the person who was supposed to be traumatized and probably wrapped up in a blanket and wouldn’t leave the room, seating on Liam’s lap all lovey-dovey.
As soon as Ciara saw the people arguing in front of her, she jumped straight up and stood on her two feet. She was actually embarrassed to be seen by her mother in law while she was in that state with Liam whom she gave a light punch as punishment.
” Hey, we were here to check up on you, but seems like we are disturbing something. We will call you later OK.”
That was Lisa who felt very awkward after she had seen her friend being intimate with the man they actually respected the most.
” No no, you didn’t disturb anything at all, come on, have a sit I’ll ask Ms Nicky to bring you guys a plate. ”
She was about to call the maid when Ms Nicky showed up with a couple more plates in her hand while the other maids helped her bring out more food for the guests.
” Aunt Mag I’m really sorry for bringing you trouble. ”
” silly girl, how were you in control of everything that had happened? In fact you are the victim here, I’m the one who’s supposed to be sorry for not protecting you as your Aunt and also your mother in law. How are you feeling now, do you need to see someone to talk about it? ”
Maggie smiled as she tenderly looked at Ciara, she was happy that nothing had happened to her but also sad that Ciara had to go through all of that by herself.
” I’m OK now, I just wish to forget about it and continue with my life. ”
” Are you sure? They say things have a way of crowling back to your life later on if you don’t deal with it properly. ”
” I’d like to think that I’ve dealt with it. Owh you should have seen me yesterday hihihi you wouldn’t even be able to recognize me at all, I’m still shocked at how Liam here was able to stay with me through it. So no ma’am, I’m good. ”
She tried to lighten up the conversation and it proven to have worked as everyone laughed and joked about it. They said all jokes about the two, but also tried not say things that would trigger Ciara or make her think about the events of the previous day.
” To even think that people think so highly of that vixen. Just give me one day with her and I will teach her not to mess with wrong people in the future. ”
” Do you think she has the courage to show herself in public now, I bet her acting career is as good as over now. ”
Azzy who had been quiet all this while rose up and spoke.
” I think we need to celebrate, let’s celebrate Ciara’s safe return, celebrate life and forget about all the painful events. What do you think Ciara? ”
But before Ciara could respond Maggie reprimanded her daughter, she felt that it wasn’t appropriate for them to be having fun while Ciara was suffering and going through the most. Although Ciara seemed fine she thought that she was putting up a front, maybe because she didn’t want them to worry.
” No Azlea, Ciara here needs to rest. She’s been through a lot, and celebrating is not what she needs.”
” Actually aunt Magg, I think Azzy is right. I need to be around the people that matters the most to me, I need to be happy and free. ” she then looked at Liam and smiled before continuing with her sentence.
” I need to forget, maybe you can help me forget it. Please allow me to be free today and forget everything that’s happening around us.”
Liam was about to reject the celebration idea as the doctor had said she needed to rest and he also cared about her health but when Ciara begged him to help her forget, that reminded him of the night they met. ‘Help me forget.’ were her words from that night. So he decided to go along with their suggestion.
“fine but it will not be a full on party but us getting together and relaxing over some snacks and drinks but none alcoholic drinks for you. ”
His voice was sturn so much so that no one had the courage to say otherwise, besides he had only said, only Ciara wasn’t allowed to have alcoholic beverages, so that didn’t affect the two at all.
Since that was settled Liam invited his buddies, so he wouldn’t be the only male in the house. And the others went out to get some snacks while Maggie busied herself in the kitchen with Ms Nicky.
They were all occupied with the task at hand that they even forgot about the threat Wilson had made two days ago.
Chapter 60
Soon everyone was back from running their errands and were currently gathered in the pool area at Liam and Ciara’s villa, with the ocean breeze blowing through their hair, each with a glass in their hand. Even Ciara found herself forgetting about the things Laura made her go through until someone made a statement about it.
“How long do you think they’ll detain her for? ”
” I don’t know but a rotten woman like her deserves life imprisonment. ”
Right at that moment Stacey walked out with a bag of chips in her hands while her mouth is stuffed with some.
” Hey guys you got to see this, Laura is on TV, she’s doing a live press conference. ”
She wasn’t even done with her sentence when everyone jumped up on their feet and rushed to see the news, but immediately stopped on their tracks when they heard Laura’s voice coming from a screen above the barbaque area. So they all returned to their seats, only Ciara remained on the pool wall with a remote on her hands while dipping her feet in the water.
” I, I would like to apologize to everyone for deceiving you about the things I wrote regarding Ms Williams morals, it was wrong of me to try and sway everyone’s opinions and make you go against her for my personal agenda. I would like to especially apologize to Ms Williams for the suffering I’ve put her through, especially for destroying her character and reputation. I trust that you will find it in your heart to forgive me. ”
At this point Laura looked very haggard, it was as if she hadn’t had any sleep at all in the past few days. It was a hot summer day yet Laura was dressed in a long dress with long sleeves, probably it was to hide all the bruises she had. Even with heavy makeup she still couldn’t hide the dark circles around her eyes.
When the netizens saw this clip some felt sorry for her and that was mostly her fans.
” yes she may be wrong but nothing really happened to the other woman, she should just forgive our goddess. ”
” look how pitiful she is, I’m pretty sure she didn’t mean any harm to @Ciara_w. Things just went south. ”
” owh my God what have they done to our queen, I have never seen her this sad. ”
This is how hypocritical people can get, one minute they were scolding Ciara for her bad morals and being loose, now that they had found out it was all made up, none cared about what they made her go through but they are practically telling her to move on with her life as if nothing had ever happened.
Luckily though there were people who where able to analyze this situation, looking at how Laura presented herself they saw that she hadn’t turned over a new leaf, she didn’t regret what she did at all. Although she presented herself with pity and sadness, if one would look at her closely they would see that instead of sadness it was anger that was actually displayed on her face.
” she’s not regretful at all, just look at her, it’s like she was forced to stand here and is now doing it for the sake of apologize but in truth she’s not at all apologetic. ”
” someone from a shooting site she was working on once told me that she tried to kill @ciara_w for a man who did not even spare her a glance. I guess she have always had a grudge against Ciara. ”
” I told you guys that there was something wrong with this woman, just look at her, is she on drugs or something?”
Some even tried to defend Ciara, and those who personally knew her spoke up about the kind of person she was. Even Maggie and Azlea wrote a comment praising Ciara, which got people talking.
They wondered why the Jones would defend her when she was only the mistress, besides there was solid proof that showed that Ciara was having an affair with Liam, or was that also fabricated.
One other person was infuriated by this piece of information and that person was none other than Mayor Wilson. He had warned Ciara to break up with Liam or else he’d make her life a living hell, he would practically push her or force her to break things of with the latter.
He knew that he had Maggie on his side who actually approved of his daughter and thought that it would be easy for him to get Annie married to the Jones family, but now with Maggie’s comment, he wasn’t too certain if she had changed her mind or anything.
He knew he needed to be in control of the situation, right now though he was everything but in control. He was so angry at how things turned out, at first when Laura started bashing Ciara on the internet he was happy he thought the universe was working with him, and strongly felt that Ciara wouldn’t cope and end up breaking up with Liam but now, it feels like the universe was working against him. It’s a pity that his family would have to pay for it as he took out his anger on his wife.
