Ch. 401..410

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 401-Alec’s Seeing Someone Else The sudden question made Christopher stare fixedly at her for several seconds.

“What?” “Just tell me if it’s possible,” Jenny sighed. She just wanted this over and done with.

Christopher gave it some thought before asking, “So you’re willing to be my girlfriend?” The moment he asked this, Morgan spoke up. “Jenny, don-” “Hell no!” Jenny huffed. “I mean, will your grandfather tell me the truth if I go to Bardoff City with you, not as your girlfriend.” Christopher’s frown wasn’t hopeful.

Jenny shrugged. “Alright. Let’s pretend I never asked.” “Hey, don’t give up yet. There is a slight possibility.” His grandfather might actually reveal the truth to Jenny if she came knocking on his door.

“You think so?” Jenny beamed. A trip to Bardoff wouldn’t hurt. She’d even benefit by knowing the grand truth behind Christopher’s hot-headed pursuit.

Christopher nodded. “I know my grandfather, so yeah.” “Alright. Give me a couple days to prepare for the trip to the city.” This was great news for Christopher. They’d finally have alone time together during the trip.

Morgan sighed in relief, then stood up from the table. “I’m gonna go to the bathroom.” She’d also update her family about the work with the Spades so they could do the necessary.

Her departure left the table with Christopher and Morgan sitting opposite one another.

“I’m curious why you and Alec broke up. Was he cheating on you?” Christopher hadn’t listened in on their conversation that day at the apartment. All he knew was that the two didn’t look very happy.

“I didn’t expect someone like you to be so interested in gossip.” “C’mon, you can tell me. I can keep a secret.” He grinned.

Jenny ignored him, staying silent.

Christopher sighed, then immediately thought of the next topic to talk about. His gaze shifted out the cafe window. What he saw made him freeze in place.

“Looks like I was right,” he murmured.

“Huh?” Jenny frowned. What was he… She followed his gaze out the window and saw Alec’s car outside. Alec stepped out of his car and went to the front passenger seat, where someone sat. The moment light reflected on the pale smooth skin of their legs, Jenny’s heart dropped. She had truly hoped Alec’s companion wasn’t a woman.

Christopher smiled as Alec walked to the cafe with his companion. “You don’t look too good,” he remarked, glancing at Jenny.

“You seem to look quite the opposite.” Jenny’s responding stare turned cold.

“Of course. If Alec’s dating someone else, you’re officially free from him. That’s good news for me, no?” Christopher shrugged.

faron læge To Appetite

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 402-Transmutation: Rage to Appetite “Who’d want to be with Alec again?!” Jenny thought furiously, glaring at Christopher.

Just then, Alec and the woman entered the cafe. Jenny turned away from them, indignant.

Unfortunately, Jenny and Christopher were quickly spotted by Alec in the small cafe. Alec’s sour expression immediately turned gloomy. Jenny wasn’t even going to look at him?

Christopher smirked, meeting Alec’s gaze. He prodded Jenny’s plate. “Eat your food. Channel that rage into your appetite.” Jenny didn’t respond. When she looked up, Alec had already gone into a private booth in the cafe.

The anger in her chest boiled dangerously. She directed it to Christopher. “What are you, eight?” “Maybe.” Christopher met her rage with a grin. He was delighted right now, more so than when Jenny had said she’d go to Bardoff City with him. Sometimes, he wondered if he wanted to date Jenny or if he just wanted to see Alec and Jenny at odds with each other.

Jenny sighed, ignoring him further lest she had a stroke.

Morgan returned to the table a while later, oblivious to Alec’s arrival and, consequently, to the tension between Jenny and Christopher.

“Done with your food? Let’s go then.” Jenny suggested after Morgan finished eating. She got up, ignoring Christopher, who nonchalantly followed behind the two.

Back in the private booth, Natalia Cruz was perplexed as to why Alec looked so upset. “I haven’t done anything to piss him off, have I?” she wondered.

She wouldn’t have come to this blind date if her father hadn’t recommended him, saying how wonderful he was and what a great future lay ahead of him.

She had to make a good impression since she was already there. “I’m sure you know the basics about me, Mr. Faust, so we can just skip past the introductions.

What do you say?” Alec glanced at her and hummed a response, then looked away.

“Here we go,” Natalia thought.

“Why did you agree to come to this blind date?” She had come here only because of her father’s insistence and how attractive Alec was. She wondered what Alec’s reason was.

“Is the reason important?” “Well, alright. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.” Natalia wasn’t going to pursue it further, though she did grumble something fierce internally.

Just because he was hot didn’t mean she’d appeal to him so desperately.

The atmosphere grew silent. It took some time before Alec finally regained some virtuous sense. What would you like to eat, Miss Cruz?” he asked, handing her the menu, but he had already left quite a bad impression on Natalia.

“I’ll be straight to the point here, Mr. Faust. I don’t think we’re right for one another.” Hot and promising, yes, but Natalia still didn’t want to risk it. It would’ve helped if the man had been respectful from the start. Clearly, that wasn’t Alec Faust.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 403-Business Opportunity Alec was taken aback at how fast Natalia called it off. He wasn’t upset, thoughhe wasn’t interested in Natalia anyway. “I see. Alright.” Looked like Natalia didn’t hit his marks either. No wonder he was so indifferent.

She huffed and got up to leave before her anger started peaking. “Goodbye.” “Why don’t you have lunch first, Miss Cruz? We’re already here. I want to discuss a business opportunity with you.” “Oh? Sure.” Natalia sat back, now curious as to what Alec had in mind.

The two had their lunch, oblivious to Jenny’s terrible mood.

After dropping Morgan off, the car was filled with tense silence.

“Don’t you wanna know who the woman is? Alec’s female friend?” Who was she?

All Jenny knew was that she wasn’t from Parrington; otherwise, she’d have seen her profile during her investigation.

“She’s Natalia Cruz from Bardoff City’s Cruz family.” Christopher had seen her a couple times during public events but never spoken to her. She was a proud woman, that one.

Cruz family from Bardoff… “You noticed, too, right? Alec’s heading straight for the winning prize after dumping you.” Christopher snorted. “The Cruz family is just about the same level as mine, but they’re still pretty influential here in Parrington.” Jenny had a feeling Alec wouldn’t do that. It was very likely that he wanted to work with her on business terms only.

“The Fausts don’t have any connections to the Cruzes, both socially and in the business world,” Christopher added, bursting her bubble.

It was met with a glare. “And why are you telling me all this? Why would I care who Alec is with now that we’ve broken up?” Just then, Christopher’s car came to a stop outside Perry Residence. She stepped out and left, slamming the door behind her. That man was truly infuriating.

Christopher smiled, murmuring to himself, “You’re more interesting than I thought, Jenny.” He had adamantly refused when his grandfather told him to pursue her, but as time passed, he slowly realized how much more attractive she was. Maybe having her as his wife wasn’t such a bad idea.

Good thing Jenny didn’t know this. She’d give him a tongue-lashing for sure.

Christopher took out his phone. “Look into what the Cruzes are up to, dipping their toes in Parrington.” At the Old Mansion, Mortimer eagerly asked Alec, “What’d you think of the Cruz girl? Not bad, right?” Alec hummed in response.

Mortimer grinned, now hopeful. “Then you should continue keeping in touch with her. She’s much better than that Walter girl.” Hearing this, Alec’s hackles rose. He hid his fierce expression from Mortimer, making sure he didn’t see the dangerous glint in his eyes.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 404-Aren’t You Going Too Far?

Back at the apartment, Jenny lay on the couch with her laptop against her chest.

If Christopher saw what she was looking at now, he’d definitely make fun of her.

Every single bit of information available online about the Cruzes was opened on Jenny’s laptop. Christopher hadn’t lied when he said it was Natalia Cruz Alec had gone to the cafe with. The Cruzes were of similar status to the Spades in Parrington, both second-class.

She really didn’t know what to feel right now. Alec wouldn’t meet up with a woman for no reason, especially alone. Jenny shook the thoughts away. She really had nothing to do with all of it anymore.

With that in mind, Jenny switched off her laptop and went to her bedroom to sleep.

Just then, someone knocked at her door. It was already 10 pm. Who could be knocking at her door at this hour?

Jenny went to open the door, coming face to face with Alec himself.

“You-” The man lunged at her, cornering her against the wall. He reeked of alcohol.

Jenny pushed at his shoulder. “What are you doing here?” “Do I need a reason?” he grunted. “Moved on from me so fast?” Clearly, he was talking about Christopher. But Jenny felt he had no right to question her. In fact, she should be the one asking him about the woman from earlier.

Still, she didn’t. “We broke up, remember?” In simple terms, they no longer had anything to do with each other. Jenny was free to be with whoever she wanted, just like Alec was.

That seemed to trigger something in Alec. He held her by her chin and kissed her harshly on the lips. In the midst of their heated exchange, they fumbled from the doorway to the couch, where Alec started sliding a hand between her legs.

It jolted Jenny out of her stupor. “Don’t touch me, jerk!” Alec sneered. “I’m the jerk? Weren’t you just as eager moments ago?” “You!” Jenny snapped but had nothing to respond with.

Why hadn’t she pushed him away in the first place?

She blushed fiercely when Alec lasciviously licked his lips, and she said, “Why did you even come here? Leave if you have nothing better to do!” She shouldn’t have opened the door.

Alec leaned close to her, his grin disappearing. “Why go out with Christopher when you know he wants you?” “That’s none of your business.” The moment those words left Jenny’s mouth, Alec’s face darkened like a storm.

“One more chance, Jenny Walter. Or I won’t hesitate to…” Jenny was at her wits’ end, thinking about what had happened She couldn’t exactly use brute force against Alec. “We had some things to settle,” she mumbled.

“Things? What things?” Alex asked. He wasn’t about to let Jenny be Christopher’s girlfriend. The breakup had just been a farce to get Mortimer off their backs-Alec didn’t actually treat it seriously.

Annoyed, Jenny shot back, “Aren’t you going too far? What right do you think you have to question what I’m doing when you went out to lunch with another woman?”

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 405-Damn Him!

Too far? Not to Alec. His eyes brimmed with emotion. “It’s not what you think, Jenny.” “Oh?” Jenny sneered. “It’s not what you think between Christopher and me, either. She wasn’t lying but couldn’t say the same about Alec.

“You just want to piss me off, don’t you?” Alec growled.

Jenny glared at him, finding him unbearable right now. In her mind. Alec had done wrong in the first place.

“Damn him!” she cursed internally.

Neither of them said anything else, stubbornly maintaining their temper.

After a long while, Alec said slowly, “I’ll explain everything to you in time, Jenny.” “Explain what?” What was there to explain? They’d already broken up, no?

Why didn’t Alec explain before that happened? Expecting Jenny to wait longer for whatever Alec would reveal was outrageous.

Alec started to speak but stopped. He didn’t want Jenny to worry about his issue with Mortimer or get herself in that man’s sight. It’d be strange to see Jenny worry about Alec now that they’d broken up.

Jenny’s heart sank at his silence. “Please leave if you have nothing else to say, Mr. Faust. I need to get to bed.” *Jenny…” “You can find me when you actually want to tell me the truth,” Jenny continued.

Alec knew the only thing he could do right now was to tell her everything. Sadly, for her sake, that was impossible.

He sighed. “Get some rest then. Goodnight.” “Don’t need to worry about me, Mr. Faust.” Jenny rolled her eyes, her heart clenching painfully.

Why couldn’t he just tell her the truth? Or was he just lying to her?

Alec got up and left while Jenny stayed curled up on the couch. Only after he closed the door behind him did she finally sag down, unbelievably exhausted.

News of Bloom Conglomerate on the brink of liquidation shocked Jenny the next morning. She had expected news of Simone taking over the board, not this.

Further reading informed Jenny that several directors on the board had been charged with criminal breach of trust, sinking the company into turmoil. Bloom Conglomerate’s share value dropped drastically as a result.

Jenny smiled. She instantly knew Simone had sparked this catastrophe. If so, Simone was confident the company wouldn’t liquidate.

As to why she did it… It was possible Simone would buy the unwanted company shares, thereby increasing her weight on the board.

Jenny stopped reading the news. Yvonne couldn’t do much in this chaos now, either.

She went to the hospital, preparing herself for her upcoming surgeries.

Most of the company’s shares had been sold off, just as she expected.

Meanwhile, at Bloom Mansion, Yvonne was one of the many that sold their shares the minute the news hit. She was currently trying to convince Sam to sell off his shares too.

“You need to sell them now, or they’ll be worth nothing!”

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 406-I Won’t Let You Down “I can’t, Yvonne.” Sam frowned. He was a Bloom. He had to have faith in his family company in the midst of the turmoil.

Yvonne glared at him. “If you don’t sell them now, you won’t have anything by the time the company liquidates. Is that what you want?” Sam stayed silent.

“Sell them off, Sam. We can use the money to build our own company, just us two as the directors. Wouldn’t that be better?” She finally revealed her motives.

She had lost hope the moment Simone stepped into the competition to become heir to the company, so she had been readying herself to set up her own company.

All she needed was money; she could only get the amount she needed from Sam.

“But…” “No buts, Sam. Think about it. What have you truly accomplished on your own all these years? Do you expect to sit around until Simone surpasses you? You really want the world to see how weak you are compared to your sister?” Yvonne’s tone grew angrier the more she spoke. She had long lamented her husband’s uselessness.

Unexpectedly, Sam was touched by her words. He had been mocked by the public for being useless all these years. The chance to launch a business now was a chance to finally shine.

“I hear you, Yvonne, but I don’t have what it takes right now.” Sam really had no luck or skill when it came to the business world.

“I can help you manage things, Sam,” Yvonne consoled him. “You know I’m just as capable as your sister.” “But if we fail…” “Are you a man or not, Sam Bloom? Always worrying about this and that like some old woman.

afraid of living in Simone’s shadow for the rest of your life?!” Yvonne burst out, face Aren’t you beet red.

Sam hurriedly calmed her down. “Alright, alright, honey. Don’t be angry. We’ll do as you say.” Yvonne smiled. “Good. Don’t worry; I won’t let you down.” Sam would never expect that his decision that day would make his life turn for the worse. No longer would he enjoy the luxuries only the wealthy could have.

If Jenny knew, she’d clap in delight at the two’s demise.

When she returned to her office, Christopher was waiting for her again. She was too tired to say anything, only sitting back in her chair tiredly.

“Here. Brought you lunch.” He pointed at a takeout box on her table.

“Thanks. But you really don’t have to,” Jenny sighed.

“I want to.” He shrugged. He’d been rejected too many times by this woman to feel hurt anymore.

Jenny shook her head, exhausted. She’d never be able to get through to this man. Might as well enjoy her free lunch.

Christopher’s smile widened as she ate. “Progress!” he thought. Jenny would never have eaten anything he bought in the past.

Just then, Morgan knocked on the door. She hesitated in the doorway, unsure if she should intrude.

“Hey, Morgan,” Jenny called, noticing her.

Morgan smiled awkwardly, tablet in hand and unsure of what to say. It didn’t look like she came at the best time.

“C’mon, bring it over.” Jenny spotted the tablet and gestured for her to come inside.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 407-Absurd!

Morgan stayed still, seriously regretting coming over in the first place. Jenny’s mood would only worsen if she handed the tablet over now.

Jenny stood up, ready to retrieve the tablet herself. Morgan quickly went over, handing it to her.” Hold up. There’s no need to rush.” Thinking it was something to do with the hospital, Jenny nonchalantly read the news on the tablet. Her face fell the moment she noticed the headline. Opposite her, Christopher’s interest was successfully piqued.

He leaned over to look, immediately noticing some news about Alec. He was about to joke about it when he read some more of the article and realized that Alec and Natalia were dating.

They even announced it publicly!

What was going on? Hadn’t they just met for lunch yesterday?

A nagging thought in Christopher’s mind said, “If only Jenny and I could get together this quickly.” Meanwhile, Jenny found the news ridiculous. Didn’t Alec tell her last night that he wasn’t dating Natalia? What kind of absurdity was this?

Jenny slammed the tablet on the desk, holding her rage back even as Morgan and Christopher could see how close she was to exploding.

“Breathe, Jenny. He’s not worth it,” Morgan gently added. “What a jerk,” she thought.

Christopher said, “Why don’t you and I announce that we’re dating, too?” He shut up the moment Jenny sent him a death glare. “Okay, so Jenny is tougher to get than Natalia,” he thought.

“…I’m fine,” Jenny said after a long minute.

Even a deaf person wouldn’t believe her.

She got up from her seat. “Time to get off work.” “Jenny…” Morgan called out, still worried as Jenny left the office.

“Don’t worry. I’ll keep her safe,” Christopher assured her, then ran after Jenny.

He wasn’t an ass like Alec; he had to stay with Jenny in her time of need.

When Christopher finally caught up to Jenny, she was just entering her car. He slid into the front passenger seat. “Can you give me a ride? It’s not far from your place.” “Where?” “Perry Residence. Before Jenny could ask, Christopher explained, “I moved into one of the condos there recently.

He had learned from Alec himself, after all.

Taking a deep breath, Jenny decided not to waste her energy arguing with him.

Exhaustion had overridden every inch of her body. All she wanted to do was sleep.

The drive was quiet. Jenny’s mind was clouded with the news of Alec dating Natalia. No one mentioned her name anymore on the media threads. It made sense. After all, she was only Alec’s ex-wife to the public. They never officially announced they were dating afterward, either.

“Why don’t I drive, Jenny?” Christopher offered, seeing how out of sorts she was.

“Shut the hell up!” she roared. Peace and quiet. That’s what she needed right now.

Obviously, Christopher wouldn’t shut up. He knew exactly what was going through her mind even though she wouldn’t say it out loud.

“Hungry yet? I know a good place for dinner. My treat,” he continued, ignoring Jenny’s death glare

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 408-If It Isn’t Mr. Faust!

After parking the car, the two went straight to the elevators. It didn’t seem like Christopher was in the mood for dinner.

“You’re not gonna have instant noodles again, are you?” he asked tentatively.

Jenny walked to her apartment without replying, ignoring him entirely.

“Jenny,” he called again before she closed the door, shoving a foot in the doorway this time.” C’mon, let’s go grab dinner.” “Leave!” she yelled. If Christopher continued to be a pain in her ass, she might actually hit him.

“No. You haven’t had a single thing to eat today. You’re only hurting yourself. He wasn’t going to let her sleep without first eating something.

Jenny immediately threw a punch at him, now fully attacking him. She’d been wanting to hit something ever since the breakup. How kind of Christopher to offer himself up.

Christopher hadn’t expected it. He quickly dodged her punch, having some practical training since he was young to defend himself. But he soon realized he was no match for Jenny. It frustrated him. How could he continue pursuing her if he didn’t get better or at least be at the same level as her?

With that in mind, the two swung and kicked at each other for several minutes.

Luckily for Christopher, Jenny never once dealt anything too serious. She just needed an outlet for her emotions.

Minutes later, Jenny had Christopher in a faux stranglehold against the wall.

“Tapping out yet?” She was feeling much better than earlier. Christopher could fight, but not against her for sure.

“Yes, yes.” Christopher sighed, tapping out on the wall. The feeling of losing to Jenny was unbearable.

As if reading his mind, Jenny smiled. “No need to get upset. Not many people can best me in hand- to-hand combat.” So far, only Alec and Jonathan had done so. It was reasonable since they were highly skilled individuals.

“Who said I was upset?” Christopher shot back. “Can you let go now? Need to breathe here.” Jenny loosened her grip, but the moment she did, Christopher used the same technique on her, forcing her into a corner.

“Hey, not fair!” she cried. She hadn’t prepared herself, nor did they agree to continue.

Christopher didn’t care. “Will you tap out or not?” “No!” Jenny growled, glaring at him.

Christopher leaned close to her. “I’ll give you one more chance, or don’t blame me if I decide to…” His nose nearly brushed against her cheek as if threatening to kiss her if she didn’t tap out.

“Now will you tap out?” he murmured in her ear.

Even though they weren’t dating, nor did Jenny have any feelings for him, their position still appeared extremely intimate to the public eye.

“I…” Jenny swallowed.

Footsteps suddenly rang out from the corridor. She turned to the source of the sound and saw that it was Alec.

Her heart jumped into a panic almost instantly, but then she calmed herself.

There was nothing to panic about; Alec was dating someone else now.

“If it isn’t Mr. Faust!” Christopher greeted, grinning from ear to ear, still leaning up against Jenny

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 409-Shameless!

Alec just about boiled over with rage when he saw the two. “Fucking shameless!” If someone else had seen them doing this right by the door… Alec couldn’t imagine further. He grew angrier and angrier by the second, never expecting Jenny to act that way.

Jenny was about to push Christopher away when she fell limp in his arms, eyeing Alec mockingly.” You should mind your own business, Mr. Faust. Don’t you have a new girlfriend?” “…” “Oh, I nearly forgot. You live here too.” Jenny turned to Christopher. “Let’s give him some space to walk.” “Alright.” Christopher beamed, enjoying the show. He let Jenny go and gently pushed her behind him. “Here you go, Mr. Faust.” Alec glared at them, then fixed on Jenny. “I told you it’s not what you think between “I’m not interested in your business, Mr. Faust.” Jenny scoffed and looked away, crossing her arms.

Still angry, Alec turned to Christopher. “Why do you keep following her around?

What motives do you have?” “I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean, Mr. Faust. I like Jenny, and I intend her to be my girlfriend,” Christopher responded proudly with nothing to fear.

Alec’s eyes just about turned bloodshot. With a sneer, he left.

Jenny immediately sagged over; her ferocity gone just like that. “Didn’t you say you’d treat me to dinner? Let’s go then.” She was getting hungry now.

“Alright.” They went downstairs again, back into Jenny’s car, only this time Christopher drove.

Alec was smoking a cigarette across the street when he spotted the car. A vein in his temple throbbed angrily. He was starting to question whether he had made the right choices.

“This was all because of Mortimer Faust!” he cursed.

Alec gritted his teeth and decided to take action. He couldn’t sit around and move from the dark anymore. He decided not to worry about Christopher, either.

He knew Jenny wasn’t the least bit interested in that man.

Still, Alec would have his men continue monitoring Jenny and Christopher. That man was capable of doing things he set his mind to, after all.

In the restaurant, Jenny had her mind wander off while eating her dinner.

Christopher grimaced because he knew that as much as Jenny denied caring about Alec Faust, she actually cared the most.

“Where’d you learn how to fight like that, Jenny?” he asked, trying to divert Jenny’s attention from Alec.

Jenny slowly came to her senses. “A man my grandfather hired to teach me back in Orchid Village “Woah. Must’ve been quite the master then. What was his name?” Christopher was now intrigued. His own martial arts mentor had been top-notch, yet he had been defeated by Jenny so easily. Whoever taught her must’ve been far more skilled. Not to mention the fact that men and women naturally differed in physiological strength.

Sensing that Christopher had no ulterior motives in asking this, Jenny said, “Tywin Munster.” Christopher’s silverware nearly fell to the ground. “Tywin Munster?!”

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 410-Do You Know Who He Is?

His reaction made Jenny curious. “Yeah. Something wrong?” “Um…” Christopher suddenly didn’t know if she was being serious or not.

Tywin Munster was a master of masters in the martial arts world. How could Jenny mention his name as if he was just some average Joe?

Christopher calmed himself down, “Do you know who he is?” “Not really. My grandfather said he was very skilled in martial arts, so he had him teach me. I never really questioned him.” Jenny shrugged.

She had learned from a handful of teachers but had never had time to sit down and talk to them due to her packed schedule. They all left once they finished teaching her, and Jenny never saw any of them afterward.

Though there were exceptions where they visited Orchid Village again, but only before her grandfather passed away. Jenny had been shocked when she met Tywin again at the village back then, too.

“He’s not just very skilled; he’s nearly the titan of the martial arts world, Jenny.

Even I know his name, and I’m not formally trained.” No wonder Jenny was so good at combat!

Jenny bit her lip. “Mr. Munster was pretty good.” Was that the point, though?

“Don’t you find it strange that someone like Tywin Munster would agree to teach you all because your grandfather asked?” Christopher asked carefully.

Jenny frowned and met his gaze. She knew what he was hinting at. “Grandpa said that Mr. Munster had just visited the village to spend his holidays. He never really emphasized how powerful he was.” She wondered if Christopher had gotten the wrong guy. Her teacher couldn’t be this master of the arts that he was talking about, right.

Christopher sighed. “It’s because of what happened…” “What? What happened?” Jenny asked, now curious.

After a pause, Christopher said, “Go look it up yourself. It made global headlines back then, so you should still be able to find a trace of it now.” Jenny grew still. She had never actually thought of investigating the people she grew up around until now. She never felt like she had any reason to. But Christopher’s words had incited her curiosity. Maybe her teachers really weren’t as simple as she thought.

“Even though that happened to Tywin, not just anyone could’ve gotten him to agree to teach them. “Christopher’s grandfather hadn’t even hoped he could hire Tywin back then, so he never tried.

Jenny stayed silent, suddenly realizing something.

“You’ve been asking me what exactly my motives are while you continue telling me you’re nobody special. But have you wondered how a nobody could’ve possibly gotten a master like Tywin Munster to be her teacher? Based on what you’ve told me, all your other teachers must’ve been. masters in their respective fields too. Why do you think this is possible, Jenny?” Christopher asked.

Jenny began to question herself too How could her grandfather have managed to have all those masters teach her?

Wasn’t she just an ordinary person from a small village? Why the need to go to such lengths?
