Ch. 441..450
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 441-Have We Made Up?
They arrived at Centenary Hall. Jenny followed behind Alec, and he pulled his keys out to unlock the doors.
“Come in,” he said, turning back to look at her as he turned the lights on.
Jenny hesitated for a while before finally stepping in. She pulled her suitcase with her and sat on the sofa, staring at Alec. She was evidently waiting for him to explain his relationship with Quinn. Alec sighed. He knew what she was thinking. He helped her place her suitcase in her room and took out a first-aid kit. “Don’t move. I’m going to treat your wounds.” Jenny pursed her lips. Alec knew what she was waiting for, yet he refused to tell her. How despicable.
The wound was treated quickly. Just when Jenny wondered what he was going to do next, Alec sat next to her.
“Quinn and I were classmates in college,” Alec said, reminiscing his past.
Jenny felt upset seeing him like this but let him go on.
“She and I were close. We spent a lot of time together, too, so the feelings developed naturally.” Alec didn’t deny that he once had a crush on Quinn. “But because she had to leave the country, we didn’t end up together.” Truth be told, with an unfulfilled romance like that, Alec had forgotten it all as years went past.
Seeing that he was done with his explanation so soon, Jenny felt upset. “So, you got me to replace her because you couldn’t have her?” Alec’s face darkened immediately. He looked at her grimly. “I’ve told you before that you’re not a replacement for anyone. If it weren’t for you pointing it out, I wouldn’t have noticed any similarities between you two.” Only when Jenny pointed it out that he vaguely notice how similar they were.
Jenny obviously didn’t believe him. Anyone would see the resemblance between her and Quinn when they saw her picture. How could he be so oblivious?
“Jenny, didn’t we promise to trust each other?” Alec looked at her, his emotions at rock bottom.
Jenny didn’t meet his gaze. She still didn’t believe him even though he had given his explanation. Perhaps all of his lies had caused the truth to submerge into a haze.
“So why didn’t you tell me when your father returned?” she asked. She felt that Alec should have. given her a heads up about such a huge thing.
Alec wasn’t sure if Jenny had already moved past Quinn. When she mentioned Mortimer, he replied honestly, “I wasn’t planning on deceiving you. I just wanted to tell you after everything was settled.”
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 442-The Schemes Run Deep If Alec had talked to her about it beforehand, she might have agreed to play along and pretend to break up with him. But he had made his decisions and kept her in the dark, not caring if she’d be hurt. She wouldn’t forgive him for this.
Alec was disappointed. “Alright. I was wrong. It’s a given that you’d punish me.” “It’s late. I need to get some rest.” Jenny got up and went to her room. She didn’t want to talk to Alec anymore. She’d already learned what there was to learn. It didn’t matter if it was the truth. It was all that Alec could tell her.
Alec sat on the sofa, watching Jenny close the door. He sighed helplessly after a while, then went to bed.
Meanwhile, in Fausts’ Old Mansion in Parrington, Mortimer was spending his days aimlessly after Alec removed him from his head director position. There was nothing in his heart but hatred.
Old Mr. Faust didn’t like seeing Mortimer like that. He said, “If you’d like to have something to do. I’ll get Alec to let you manage one of the companies.” “I don’t want his pity,” Mortimer spat. He was Old Mr. Faust’s son. He should have inherited Faust Group. Why would he need the scraps that Alec gave him?
“Mortimer, don’t you ever feel guilty toward Alec?” Old Mr. Faust was feeling regretful as he watched Mortimer. Why would he have a son like this?
Mortimer was stunned for a moment, then he snorted. “Why would I feel guilty?
He’s been living the good life here in the mansion, and he’s the president. Isn’t he doing better than I am?” Old Mr. Faust shook his head, thinking Mortimer was too far gone to be saved.
“He’s your son, Mortimer. But are you a father to him?” That made Mortimer quiet for a while. “Do you think there’s a point in saying this now?” It didn’t matter to him if he and Alec made up. The two of them would never be able to live together in peace.
“I just don’t understand why you would let Alec get together with Jenny. Isn’t she just a doctor?” No one knew what Old Mr. Faust was thinking. Not even his own son. Anyone would only think. about how to strengthen the Faust family. Old Mr.
Faust should have given Alec a princess, not a doctor.
Old Mr. Faust no longer wanted to keep Mortimer in the dark. “Jenny is not as simple as you think.
He was worried that Mortimer would act rashly if he didn’t know of Jenny’s identity. He told Mortimer briefly about Jenny’s identity, emphasizing, “Do not tell anyone of this.” Mortimer said nothing, but a strange light flashed in his eyes. So, that was why Old Mr. Faust would agree to it. No wonder Alec refused to let her go. Their schemes ran deep.- How could Mortimer let Alec be the one to be part of the Ten Elites of Bardoff City?
Mortimer had already cooked up a plan in his head, but Old Mr Faust knew nothing of it. The old man quite thought that Mortimer would now leave Alec and Jenny alone.
Mortimer went back to his own home. He didn’t live in the Old Mansion; he had another house. Of course, anyone would think he lived there alone, but someone else was living with him.
“Get close to Jenny. Make her fall in love with you,” he told the person sitting in the living room in the dark.
The person lifted up his head and smirked. “Why should I?” “Haven’t you always wanted to smash Alec to pieces? You can do that if you make her fall in love with you.” Mortimer smiled.
The person was intrigued. He fell deep in thought, then snapped his fingers.
“Leave it to me.”
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 443-Blame Me Jenny was almost done with what she had to do in Bardoff City. She wasn’t planning on staying. Harvey Spade was still in a coma, and she couldn’t wait for him forever. Once she was done checking up on him, she told Christopher about her heading back to Parrington.
“That quick?” Christopher was surprised. He was planning on taking Jenny around town.
She nodded. “I’m almost done with my business here. I should head home.” “I’m sorry. I wasted your time.” Christopher couldn’t help feeling guilty. He didn’t think that something would happen to Harvey.
Jenny waved her hands quickly. “No, blame me. If it weren’t for me, Mr. Spade might still be alright.
She felt even guiltier than Christopher. Thankfully, he didn’t think that way.
Otherwise, Jenny would become a villain in his eyes.
“I’ve already sent those people to the police station. Don’t worry. I won’t let you suffer for nothing.” Christopher said.
Jenny couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Those were his parents. Did he really take them to the police station? She said, “It’s my fault, too. They wouldn’t have misunderstood if I’d made things clearer at the start. Maybe this wouldn’t have happened.” She was feeling incredibly guilty that Christopher was being like this. Her trip to Bardoff City had sent Harvey to the hospital and landed Christopher’s parents at the police station. She was clearly a bad omen. “They’re your parents. I’d let it slide for your sake.” Christopher needed someone by his side with a family like this, but he obviously didn’t care about it. “Don’t worry about anything. I can handle it.” Jenny didn’t know what to say. She nodded. “Alright. I’m going to leave. You should go.” “Alright.” Christopher nodded. “I’ll go to Parrington once the dust has settled her.” “Great.” Things sounded good, but Jenny knew Christopher would find it hard to go anywhere he pleased now. Back then, Harvey had his back. But now… Jenny sighed and left the hospital in a car.
Alec was the one driving. “Are we going straight to the airport?” he asked.
Jenny nodded. She wasn’t in a very good mood. “Are you finished with your tasks in Bardoff City?” “Yes. It’s mostly done.” Alec said. Vincent would cry if he heard this. Alec had done nothing but accompanied Jenny while Vincent did all the work.
Jenny and Alec boarded the plane together. Vincent was late. Thankfully, he finished his tasks on time. Otherwise, he would have had to stay there. Bardoff City was a nice place, but it wasn’t the place where he grew up. He preferred Parrington.
Jenny shut her eyes and dozed off immediately, but she wasn’t really asleep.
She was thinking about her identity. Harvey was in a coma. Who else would be able to tell her the truth?
Gilbert would be of no help. He would have told her if he wanted to. But besides Gilbert… suddenly, Jenny thought of someone else.
Maybe that person would be able to help her.
She opened her eyes and looked at Alec. Her gaze was piercing. Alec shivered when she looked at him like that.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, feeling uneasy.
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 444-Are You Crazy?
“Is your grandpa doing alright these days?” she asked, smiling sweetly.
Alec thought her smile was making things weirder. He nodded. “He’s fine. Do you want to see him?
“Yes. I want to ask him something.” But Jenny didn’t tell him what it was. Alec knew nothing, so she felt that it was unnecessary.
Alec didn’t ask, either. “Should I accompany you to the Old Mansion once we landed?” “Let’s give it a few days.” Jenny had a lot of things waiting for her in Parrington.
She had to tell the Walkers about the place she had picked out for them and see if Stephanie’s parents had anything to say about it. And since she was going back, she’d have to go to work. Morgan said that a lot of people were waiting for her to perform surgeries on them. She’d be busy for quite a few days before being able to catch her breath.
Alec didn’t force her to do anything. “Alright. Call me when you want to see him.
I’m good with anything.” “Thank you.” Jenny could also go and see him by herself, but since she and Alec had broken up, it would be inappropriate to do so.
Alec wasn’t happy hearing her thank him. “Must you be so polite with me? Are you me, Jenny?” still angry at Jenny smiled, saying nothing. Some things couldn’t be believed, even if there were explanations. And some things couldn’t be forgiven even if they were believed. Lying was objectively wrong. Alec had nowhere to vent his anger. He merely turned his head away, suppressing it.
The plane suddenly dipped, scaring everyone. A scream sounded in the cockpit.
The flight attendants hurried to comfort the passengers, saying it was just turbulence. They urged everyone to stay in their seats.
“Turbulence?” Jenny frowned. She looked at the sunset outside the window, deep in thought.
The passengers calmed down quickly. Alec, Jenny, and the others were in the first-class cabin. They were closest to the cockpit. They could clearly see a flight attendant walking anxiously toward it.
She knocked on the door and asked if the pilot was alright, but no one answered.
The flight attendant was a little nervous. Jenny sat upright. Her instincts were never wrong when it came to danger.
She walked toward the cockpit. “What’s wrong?” she asked calmly.
“Please go back to your seat, miss.” The flight attendant was panicking on the inside, but she was trying her best to keep calm.
Jenny didn’t move. She looked at the cockpit, which was closed shut. “Something has probably happened in there. How many people are inside?” *Just the pilot and the co-pilot,” another flight attendant replied.
Someone else chimed in, “Julie is in there, too. She was giving them coffee.” *Julie?” Jenny frowned. Before she could ask about Julie, the door opened.
Julie walked out, holding a gun and looking at everyone coldly. “Sit down quietly in the rest area. I don’t want to point my gun at my dear colleagues.” She smiled giddily at them. Paired with the gun in her hand, she looked like the Joker.
The flight attendants seemed too stunned to respond. Someone, who was friends with Julie, blurted out, “Julie, what are you doing? Are you crazy?”
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 445-Dragging Everyone Down Julie turned, looking at the person who had spoken. “That’s right. I’m fucking crazy.” She’d had enough of this world, but dying all by herself would be lonely. She had to drag everyone down to their graves along with her.
“Sit the fuck down!” she roared, pointing her gun at people.
The flight attendants were all startled. They ran to the rest area, terrified of being shot. It was then that Julie noticed Jenny. She frowned. “Who are you?” “I…I came looking for coffee. Jenny smiled awkwardly. She could never have imagined a moment like this.
It would be easy to tackle this woman, and obtaining her gun would be no problem, but Jenny didn’t spring into action immediately. She wasn’t sure about the situation in the cockpit, and she didn’t know if this woman had accomplices.
Julie frowned. “Get the fuck out and sit down!” “Okay,” Jenny replied. She returned to her seat, looking obedient, but she was already devising a plan. First, she had to find out what the cockpit was like.
However, based on how Julie could walk out so easily, the pilot and co-pilot were probably not in a good situation.
Did Julie have an accomplice? Jenny wondered.
“Are you alright?” Alec furrowed his eyebrows when he watched her walk toward him, worried.
Jenny shook her head, saying nothing. The woman was right behind her. There was no telling if she would suddenly go nuts.
It was only when Jenny returned to her seat that Alec saw the woman behind her with a gun in her hand. His eyebrows furrowed deeper.
“Is this a terrorist attack?” he wondered and shot Jenny an inquiring look; she nodded. Alec could already guess what was happening.
Julie ignored them. There were only two of them in first class-Vincent was in business class. Two people were not worthy enough of attention.
Behind them, Jenny heard the woman declaring proudly to the passengers that they were now in control of the plane and that the passengers were advised not to move.
“They?” Jenny’s sharp ears caught the word. Julie indeed had an accomplice.
Soon after, someone else walked out from the cockpit. Jenny was stunned.
He walked past them, planning on ignoring them, but then he changed his mind and said, “Get up and go to the back!” The two people didn’t look like they could fight back and ruin their plans, but he had to be careful.
He had a gun in his hand, too. Jenny had no idea where these people had come from. Alec wanted to fight. He thought he could handle it easily, but Jenny held him back and shook her head, bringing him to business class. Before that, she glanced into the cockpit. Both the pilot and copilot were slumped over the controls. They had either passed out or were already… Jenny looked at the male. He was wearing a co-pilot’s uniform, probably a pilot in training. Some flights would have people like him trying to gain flight experience.
He had such a bright future ahead of him. Why was he doing this?
But of course, no one could tell Jenny the reason. She wasn’t interested to know, anyway. What she needed to do was figure out what they wanted.
Alec and Jenny had to squeeze together in business class. There was only one seat available.
“Why didn’t you let me attack?” Alec whispered in her ear. He glared at the two terrorists.
“We should wait and see what they’re up to. What if they still have other accomplices?” They had to be on the lookout
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 446-Die with Us Alec thought what Jenny said made sense, so he sat and waited, not in a hurry to handle them.
The two of them began arguing. Julie looked antsy. “Didn’t we agree on making them all die with us? Why are you going back on your words?” she asked, her eyes reddened. She was about to point her gun at him.
The man was just as Jenny expected. He was the plane’s pilot-in-training and was called Brett Samson.
Brett was exasperated seeing her so agitated. He said, “I don’t mean to go back on my words. I said I would die with you, and I will. But I have a family. I need to leave them some money die.” before I Julie was quiet. Brett continued, “I swear, once I get my money, I’ll steer the plane toward Mount Enderest and crash it. They will all die together with us.” Julie looked at him and finally decided to believe him. She had no choice.
Brett was satisfied and said, “Keep watch. Tell them that we won’t harm them as long as the Parrington government gives us the money.” That was just to feed the passengers some false hope. It’d be hard to control a swarm of angered people, even with a gun.
“Alright, you go.” She knew that Brett wanted to contact the Parrington government. She could only hope he would successfully obtain the money and then crash them all to their deaths. In her eyes, death was her final home.
Brett left and walked toward the cockpit. Julie told the passengers what they planned to say. As expected, everyone calmed down considerably. They believed that the government would help them, and they were full of hope.
Only Jenny and Alec, who were in the front row, heard what the two had said.
They knew that they would not let anyone go, even if they had the money.
They couldn’t just sit there and wait for their deaths. Jenny was prepared to creep up behind Julie. She would tackle her before tackling the man in the cockpit. But just as she moved, Alec stopped her. “I’ll go.” How could he sit by and watch as Jenny jumped into danger? He wasn’t a man if he let her.
Before Jenny could respond, Alec moved. When Julie’s guard was down, he jumped at her and knocked her firmly to the floor. He quickly seized her gun and clamped her mouth shut.
Just before the passengers could scream, Jenny shot up and beckoned for them to be quiet. They shut up at once.
She found a bundle of rope and tied Julie up securely. Then, she gagged her. It was only then that she and Alec tiptoed toward the cockpit.
“Five million for a plane full of lives. A pretty good deal, isn’t it?” Brett’s voice sounded from the cockpit. He was negotiating with the government. “Send it all to the account that I’m giving you. If don’t get it in ten minutes, you can prepare yourselves for a plane full of corpses.” He slammed the phone down. He was confident that the government would agree to his demands. There were hundreds of lives on the plane. The government couldn’t refuse him.
He was in a good mood. Five million dollars would do that to anyone. He was not concerned about Julie at all. He thought the passengers would all value their lives too much to hurt her. “Keep guard at the door.” Alec stopped Jenny, preparing to rush in to tackle Brett.
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 447-Pray to God Jenny was worried. They’d be easily spotted if they rushed in like this. He had a gun, too. If anything happened… She pulled at Alec. “Don’t go in. Find a way to lure him out.” Alec thought for a while and thought it made sense. They would be able to ambush him at the entrance, and it’d be safer.
The decision was made. Jenny made a sound, and Brett’s attention was caught easily. “Julie?” No one answered. He began to get worried and walked out with his gun.
Alec and Jenny were hiding on either side of the cockpit door. The moment Brett appeared at the entrance, Alec threw himself at him and knocked him to the floor.
There was a loud bang. Everyone turned pale.
“Alec!” Jenny screamed.
Alec waved his hand. “I’m fine.” The bullet had hit the floor, not him. Brett was quickly tied up, but his bullet was causing a problem. The plane was shot, and since it was on autopilot mode, it began to fall.
“I’ll look at the pilot.” Jenny walked toward the cockpit. If the pilots were just knocked out, they could wake them up. However, that wasn’t the case. Julie was thorough in her plan. The coffee in the pilot’s cup was laced with poison, and the pilot was poisoned.
“What can we do?” The flight attendants could see that the terrorists were tied up.
They walked into the cockpit and turned pale when they saw the dead pilot.
Without the pilot, they would crash at this rate.
At the crucial moment, Jenny asked, “Can you fly a plane?” She was directing the question toward Alec.
He wasn’t sure, either. “I’ve only done simulations.” Jenny looked at the flight attendants and asked, “Go and ask the passengers if anyone can fly a plane.” The flight attendant turned and left but returned quickly. “No.” It was to be expected. Not a lot of people could fly a plane. Jenny had no choice but to sit in the pilot’s seat.
“This is different from a simulator. Don’t be rash.” The flight attendant wanted to stop her.
Jenny looked at her and asked, “Why don’t you try?” The flight attendant went quiet. She wouldn’t be a flight attendant if she knew.
“Can you fly?” Alec was surprised.
“Only on simulators, like you.” Jenny smiled at him. She already had her hands on the controls. “We only have ourselves to depend on right now.” She had only flown virtual planes, but she knew the basics of airplane controls. She didn’t want to die, and there was no other choice.
“You’ll take the co-pilot’s seat. Contact the cell towers. I’m going to land this plane.
Make them clear out the runway and prepare a few ambulances.
Jenny wasn’t too confident in her skills, but she wouldn’t have taken control if someone else knew how to fly. She looked at the flight attendants. “Make all the passengers put on their seatbelts and stay put. You’ll have to secure yourselves, too.” “Okay.” They ran to the cabins.
“What else?” someone asked.
“Pray to God.” Jenny smiled. She yanked at the controls, making the diving plane jerk up.
At the same time, Parrington had received Alec’s message. Everyone was stunned.
“You’re telling me that two inexperienced people are flying the plane?” Silence filled the area. They couldn’t imagine what would happen.
“Contact the nearest runway and make preparations,” someone ordered. “Prepare for the worst.”
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 448-There Won’t be a Next Time In Claymond City, an ambulance, a fire truck, and a police car were on standby in a row on the runway. They were waiting for the plane to land.
Jenny looked ahead, a strange calm taking over.
“Are you sure about this?” On the other hand, Alec was worried, not for himself, but for Jenny.
Jenny smiled and said sarcastically, “It’s a little too late to ask, isn’t it?” What could Alec do if she was feeling unsure?
“True.” Alec smiled lightly and said nothing else.
“Are you afraid?” Jenny looked at him, smiling. “Of dying like this?” “Not really. As long as I’m with you, death doesn’t seem as scary.” These words came straight from Alec’s heart, but Jenny didn’t feel that way.
She didn’t mock him, however. In a situation like this, they really had no choice when it came to fear.
“Prepare to land,” she said calmly. Alec got himself ready.
The plane began to dip. Claymond City and Parrington were not far from each other. The fuel was almost used up, or they would have flown a little longer.
The city entered Jenny’s field of sight. She could see the lights from the airport runway, and she couldn’t help feeling stirred, there were hundreds of lives in her hands right now.
“Brace yourselves!” The plane hit the ground. Because Jenny wasn’t a professional, the plane was moving too quickly. She couldn’t quite stop it.
“It’s going to crash!” The passengers saw the control tower a distance away.
They would crash into it very soon at the rate that they were going.
Even the people in the control tower were running for their lives. They all thought it was very likely that the plane would crash into them.
“Just fucking stop already.” Jenny said, gritting her teeth. She pulled at the controls, sweat running down her forehead as she stared at the control tower.
They were in luck. The plane stopped in front of the control tower with only twelve inches to spare. One second later, and they would have crashed.
Once the plane stopped, Jenny heard the exclamations of joy from the cabins.
The passengers were obviously shaken but happy.
Jenny leaned back in her seat. She’d used up all of her strength moments before.
Alec unlatched his seatbelt and went toward her. “You’re amazing, Jenny.” She smiled. “Thanks. I think so, too.” She wasn’t going to be humble about it: For an inexperienced pilot, this was great. But there was always room for improvement. She had to learn how to fly a plane now, in case something like this happened again.
“No, no! This won’t happen again,” she told herself.
The doors slid open. The flight attendants ushered everyone down the evacuation slide, and the two terrorists were immediately handed over to the police. Jenny would find out soon enough on the news about what would happen to them next.
Jenny only walked out when everyone was gone.
“Thank you.” Some of the flight attendants were still there. They thanked her when they saw her coming out.
She waved her hands. “No need to thank me. I wasn’t too sure about anything.” She was merely left with no choice but to fly. However, the flight attendants were still grateful. They knew that this flight could have been their last if it weren’t for her.
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 449-You’re Brilliant Jenny went down the plane. Right after doing so, applause sounded. She realized that the passengers hadn’t left yet. They seemed to be waiting for her.
“Thank you,” they said gratefully.
Jenny was suddenly a little embarrassed. She wasn’t too confident when it happened. If something terrible happened, she’d never make it up to all of them.
Thankfully, she was lucky. After they left, Jenny was questioned by the police.
After that, she finally left the airport. Alec followed by her side. He felt proud when he looked at her. This was the woman he loved. She was brilliant, shining bright like a star.
Jenny was oblivious to his thoughts: All she wanted was to go home and sleep; she didn’t want to think about anything else.
“Get into the car. I’ll drive you home,” Alec said. Vincent was waiting next to the car by the road. He admired Jenny from the start; now, she was like some otherworldly being.
Jenny didn’t refuse. She sat in his car, and they headed toward Parrington.
The incident quickly went viral. Netizens had fervent discussions, agreeing that the passengers were extremely lucky and cussing the two terrorists. Naturally, they’d also want to know who saved the passengers.
The airport had not publicly shared Jenny’s photograph, but the passengers had taken photos of her. They were now uploaded to the internet.
While they admired Jenny’s beauty, some discovered she was a doctor. Not only that, but she was also an incredibly skilled neurosurgeon at Parrington Hospital.
They were all in awe of her.
She knew nothing of this. She merely slept and dreamt the whole night.
The next morning, news of the plane incident had only spread faster. When Jenny got to the hospital, it was more crowded than usual. Everyone seemed to be looking at her.
She instantly felt a headache coming. She just wanted to work in peace; she didn’t want to be noticed by anyone. She had no way to tell when the admiration would die down.
Jenny knocked and went into the chairman’s office.
“You were looking for me, sir?” Jenny asked, looking at the old man behind the office desk. He held a newspaper in his hands. His smile was bright. “You’ve put us in the limelight, Jenny” “Mr. Chairman…” Jenny felt a little tired. Even the chairman was talking about this.
“I know you don’t like attracting attention, but you’re so brilliant that the glory just won’t stop shining on you.” The chairman smiled happily. He looked at Jenny as if she were a sparkling diamond.
Jenny didn’t want to talk about this anymore. “Did you want to talk to me about something?” “Yes, indeed.” He put down his newspaper. “The hospital is having a conference in Parrington. I’m hoping that you can attend it.” These conferences were not a rare occurrence. Parrington Hospital had them before, but not around this time. Now that the plane incident had happened, the chairman could use this chance to promote the hospital. On top of that, the people who wanted to meet Jenny would be able to do so. It was killing two birds with one stone.
Jenny saw through the chairman’s thoughts and felt a headache coming. “You don’t need me there, do you?” She had just come back. There were tons of surgeries waiting for her. She didn’t have the time.
“You must go, Jenny.” How could he promote the hospital if Jenny wasn’t around?
To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 450-As If She Were Prey Jenny walked out of the chairman’s office, tired. She had a bunch of things waiting to be done, and now there was a new task on her list.
“Jenny.” Morgan went to her side cheerfully, eyes shining. “Was it really you on the plane?” “How I wish it wasn’t.” She wished that someone on the plane knew how to fly.
That way, she wouldn’t have had to take over, and something like this wouldn’t happen.
Morgan placed her hands on her face. “You’re a hero! Why are you so sad?” “I’m not a hero. I was just forced to fly it.” Thank God nothing had happened. If it had, millions of people would be cursing her right now.
Morgan knew that Jenny disliked situations like this, and she comforted her. “It’s okay. The people online have the memory span of a goldfish. They’ll forget it all in just a few days.” “Hopefully so,” Jenny said.
She said little else to Morgan and changed into scrubs, preparing herself for the upcoming surgeries. She didn’t mind what people did as long as it didn’t bother her.
In the hospital corridor, a young man’s gaze fell on Jenny. He retracted his gaze only when she disappeared out of his sight.
“Jenny Walter,” the young man murmured and smirked. “You look interesting.” He smiled as if he had seen his prey.
That day, a lot of people took notice of Jenny. Even the people in Bardoff City paid attention to her.
In the Walter Castle, Rowena Glass looked at Jenny’s photo on the news. Her eyes gleamed in hatred. A report lay by her hands. The words “Paternity Test” were shown clearly on the document. One would be shocked to see it.
Jolene Walter came out of her room. Rowena hurriedly put away the paternity test. All that Jolene saw was Jenny’s photo.
“Are you watching her, too, Mom? All she did was save a few lives. It’s nothing much.” Jolene’s friends were all talking about Jenny. She was getting annoyed.
She thought it was weird. Although she’d never seen Jenny, Jolene knew she hated her ever since they learned of her name.
Rowena looked at her daughter and pulled her to her side. “Don’t you like her?” “Why would I? We have nothing in common.” Jolene pursed her lips. She couldn’t describe the mixture of emotions she was feeling.
Rowena patted her head and smiled. “It’s okay. I’ll never let her appear around you.” “She has no right to appear before me,” Jolene spat. She was the only daughter of the Ten Elites. How could someone like Jenny from a small city like Parrington ever appear in her life?
In her next life, perhaps.
Rowena said nothing. She didn’t want Jolene to know about the paternity test.
As a mother, she had to handle these things. The Walters of Bardoff City only had one daughter.
Jolene At the same time, in a small area in Parrington, Yvonne looked at Jenny through her phone with jealousy burning in her eyes.
“Why? Why do I fall to this extent, and why is Jenny the one being praised by millions?” she cursed The door opened, and Sam walked in drunkenly. “Yvonne “Have you been drinking again?” Yvonne looked at him in anger “What else can I do? Bloom Conglomerate has nothing to do with me anymore, and the money we got from selling our shares have all gone down the drain doing business. What can I do?” He smiled, feeling his heart ache He was the Blooms heir. He would never have thought that a day like this would happen.
