No — you can read free chapters as a guest. A free account lets you bookmark, track reading history, comment, review, use AI features, and unlock premium chapters with coins.

Click Sign Up and enter your email/username and password. If you had an account on our previous WordPress-based site, you may be asked to verify your identity via a one-time code the first time you log in.

Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset it via email.

We tell you exactly which one is wrong. If no account matches, we'll say so specifically (showing your input partially masked). If the account exists but the password doesn't match, we'll tell you that instead.

Open a novel's page and click "Read from Beginning," or jump straight to Chapter 1 if it's free — some novels even show Chapter 1's text right on the novel page itself.

The gear icon (⚙) on any chapter opens Reading Settings — theme (Light, Dark, Gray, Sepia, Night, Forest), font, size, and line height, remembered across every chapter and novel.

Yes — with its own voice, speed, and volume controls, remembered for next time.

Yes — you can highlight paragraphs as you read, and your furthest bookmark is tracked automatically so "Continue Reading" always picks up where you left off.

You'll see the first several paragraphs as a preview, fading smoothly toward the lock panel — a genuine taste of the chapter before deciding whether to unlock it.

BaxterNovel's virtual currency, separate from AI tokens, used specifically to unlock premium (locked) chapters.

Purchase them via Stripe or PayPal, or receive them if an admin credits your account.

Coins are delivered instantly, so purchases are generally final once credited. See our Purchase and Refund Policy for the specific exceptions we do consider.

Yes — both individual chapters and a novel's own page have comments (plus an "All Chapter Comments" view). Admin can enable or disable comments per novel, so a small number may not have commenting available.

Generate your own personal, unofficial continuation of any novel once you've reached the last published chapter — entirely private, never published, and it never changes the real story. Any number of readers can generate their own separate continuation at the same time.

On a novel's last chapter, click "✨ Continue With Baxter AI," choose a mode, word count, and how many chapters, then generate.

Not necessarily — generate the next one whenever you like, or use "Generate All Remaining Chapters" to write the rest of a short storyline back-to-back.

Yes — "What Happens Next?" offers a few real, story-specific directions to choose from, "Let AI surprise me," or your own idea entirely.

Yes — rewrite options include More Romantic, More Drama, More Action, More Emotional, Add a Twist, or a plain Regenerate. Each costs the same as generating a new chapter.

Yes, after a period of inactivity — but generating a new chapter refreshes it. Manage your storylines from Profile → "My AI Generations."

Depends on what admin has enabled for that specific novel — Continue, Ask, and Characters can each be turned on or off independently per novel.

It's a search-driven lookup — you search for exactly who you're wondering about, and only that result is shown (and charged for).

A tool for creating your own entirely original novel — your own idea, your own characters, written chapter by chapter with AI as a writing partner. Completely separate from Continue With Baxter AI, since it builds a brand new novel rather than extending an existing one.

Profile → "My AI Novels" → "✨ Create New Novel." Enter your idea (or pick a trending prompt, or hit "🎲 Surprise Me"), define your characters, choose a writing style, length, and ending type.

Before a single chapter is written, you get a full blueprint — title, synopsis, and chapter-by-chapter outline — to review or regenerate. Nothing is charged until you approve it and start writing.

Chapter 1 is written immediately on approval. From there, generate one chapter at a time (with "What Happens Next?" available) or use "Generate All Remaining Chapters" for a short novel.

Planning is free — idea, characters, and blueprint cost nothing. Only actual chapters, generated one at a time, are charged, based on your chosen novel length and words per chapter.

Tokens are a separate currency used for AI features (Continue, Ask, Characters, Story Studio). Coins are only for unlocking premium chapters.

Yes — a free daily allowance, always used automatically before anything is drawn from a purchased balance.

Continue With Baxter AI's price depends on your chosen word count (shown in the dropdown). AI Story Studio's price depends on both your chosen novel length and words per chapter. Ask Baxter AI and Characters each have a flat per-use price. Every price is shown before you commit.

You're automatically refunded the tokens for that attempt — you're never charged for something you didn't receive.

Both Stripe and PayPal, for coins, tokens, and subscriptions where offered.

They renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. Cancel any time from account settings; you'll keep access through the period already paid for.

No — payments are processed directly by Stripe and PayPal. We never store your full card details.

Yes — including chapter uploads, premium/coin pricing per chapter, and your own AI settings for how readers can use Continue, Ask, and Characters on your novel.
