Life at the Top Chapter 2351-“Okay, I’m ready, let’s get started!”

***

Bardot, the capital city thousands of kilometers away, was still bustling.

On this lively street was a woman in a black robe walking through the crowd. She was accompanied by two bodyguards.

If anyone watched carefully, they would be surprised when they saw this scene. After all, only local civilian women would wear this cheap black robe. However, having two bodyguards indicated that this black-robed woman was not simple.

This woman in black was Jagoan, who had escaped from Bashra.

She was hunted down by Jagoan and threatened by Captain Viktor. Therefore, in desperation, Jagoan remembered that there might be a place for her in the capital Bardot.

Jagoan came to a tall building and was quickly stopped by the guard at the door.

“Stop! Go away if you have no fixed duties. This is not a place for you!”

“Go in and say that Jagoan is asking to see Vice Chairman Abe…”

Upon hearing this name, the guard at the door looked Jagoan up and down.

“Wait here…”

The person entered the building and went to Abe’s office without stopping.

“Vice Chairman, there is a woman named Jagoan at the door asking to see you. Do you want to let her in?”

Abe did not hear him at first, but after he realized what he said, he slammed his hand down on the table and roared, “Go and bring her in. If you waste any time, I’ll chop your head off!”

Only then did the guard understand that the woman outside the door must be a distinguished guest.

About ten minutes later, the guard came back respectfully and said to Jagoan, “Miss Jagoan, please come in… Our vice chairman is waiting for you in the office…”

Seeing such a big change in the other party’s attitude, Jagoan certainly knew that it was because of her identity. This also showed that the Petroleum Chamber of Commerce Headquarters was not affected by the incident in Bashra.

So, Jagoan nodded and hurriedly followed the other party into the building.

After seeing Abe, Jagoan took off the scarf on her head to reveal her face.

“Miss Jagoan, why are you like this? What the hell happened?” Abe asked quickly but Jagoan just shook her head helplessly after hearing this.

“Heh, it’s actually a long story… In short, I’ve lost Bashra and now we can no longer participate in the oil industry there… I’m here to ask for help.”

A simple sentence expressed Jagoan’s endless sadness.

With Jagoan’s naturally arrogant personality, anyone who was familiar with her would be surprised and sigh when they heard her saythat

Abe was surprised, but it was not obvious on his face.

“Really? So, who is the most noteworthy person in Bashra right now, from your perspective?”

“Jagoan Laine. He repeatedly messed up my plan, leading to my final defeat. Honestly, this Jagoan person is very difficult to deal with…”

This was essentially the highest evaluation Jagoan could give.

Abe nodded silently before speaking. “Then do you think there is still a chance to make a comeback in the future?”

Life at the Top Chapter 2352-This was actually Abe laying the groundwork in preparation for Jagoan’s plans.

If she was not one of the Rothschilds, Abe would not have done such a thankless job. Jagoan was also testing to see Abe’s attitude.

If he did not agree, it meant that she should not stay in Jagoan and it was time for her to go home. However, since Abe agreed, it meant that the cooperation between the two parties had not broken down yet.

“If you want to turn the tables and get revenge, you only have one chance, and that is the wedding in the capital in five days time,” Jagoan said.

“You want to take action at the wedding? That would be great!” Abe said with a laugh, “I will definitely cooperate with you when the time comes!”

Abe carefully discussed the details of the day’s actions with Jagoan, and at the same time, he entertained Jagoan to the highest standard.

***

Three days passed in a blink of an eye. Meanwhile, Jagoan had been training with Jagoan for three full days.

When he and Jagoan came back, they headed straight for the training ground where Jagoan was.

Jagoan was already in the mercenary business in Bashra, so he had his own training ground. Jagoan, who was training newcomers, was surprised to see Jagoan and Jagoan.

“Mr. Laine, why are you here? Is it time to make a move?”

Jagoan thought Jagoan was here to dispatch them, but Jagoan nodded but then immediately shook his head. This obviously confused Jagoan for a moment.

Jagoan said with a smile, “Jagoan was just joking. We do need someone, but that’ll be in two days. As for today, I just want to test Jagoan.”

Upon hearing what Jagoan said, Jagoan remembered that Jagoan had gone to train with Jagoan.

He was suddenly intrigued, wondering how fast Jagoan had improved under Jagoan’s training.

Hence, Jagoan immediately called everyone and cleared the space.

“Mr. Laine, so many newcomers are looking at you now. Are you nervous?”

Jagoan purposely looked at Jagoan with a smirk, only to find that Jagoan was really not that nervous.

“Hmph, do you want to see me make a fool of myself? Then you will be disappointed today,” Jagoan said with a smile

After a moment Jagoan added, “I know myself, so in these three days, I only asked Jagoan to teach me how to use firearms. At my current level, I dare not say I’m already an expert, but I can say that I can protect myself in case of danger.”

When Jagoan said this, he reached out to take a pistol handed over by Brook, raised his hands, and fired three shots in a row.

“How many?” Jagoan asked, and the staff on the other side of the range immediately yelled.

“Once for ten, twice for nine!”

Upon hearing this, Jagoan was extremely surprised.

He knew that Jagoan had only been exposed to firearms for three days. This kind of result could be regarded as elite, even among mercenaries.

He suddenly thought of something.

He then hurriedly rubbed his hands and said, “Um… Mr. Laine, can you please educate a few troublemakers a lesson for me?”

“What do you mean by that? I don’t understand.”

Jagoan was reloading, and seeing Brook’s smile, he knew he needed something.

“It’s nothing, I’ve been recruiting newcomers here and I have a few troublemakers… Those guys have always been disobedient, and I thought of them when I saw your performance.”

Life at the Top Chapter 2353-Jagoan did not rush to answer but instead continued to ask, “No way! You’ve been in this business for so many years, and there are even troublemakers that you can‘t handle?”

Jagoan sighed resignedly before telling Jagoan what happened.

When leading the training of recruits, Jagoan could use threats and lures to achieve his goals if he encountered disobedient members. However, he could tell that the ones he mentioned today were very talented and not recruits at all. Because of this, those skilled fellows would not pay attention to them.

It was useless for Jagoan to punish them severely too as he might cripple the young talents due to excessive physical punishment.

Jagoan understood after hearing this and nodded accordingly. “Okay, I’ll help you. As long as you don’t feel ashamed of a rookie who has just trained for a few days.”

Jagoan was obviously being modest.

Jagoan then walked over with a smile. “Don’t listen to what Jagoan said. Although he has just trained for three days, Jagoan’s dynamic vision is at least comparable to mine after I tested him! He has very high talent.”

Jagoan also grew up with guns and bullets, so he knew what this meant.

The so-called dynamic vision could be simply understood as the ability to hit a moving target.

This ability was very important in actual combat as the enemy would not simply stand still and let you shoot them.

Jagoan also understood Jagoan could learn all the fighting skills in just a few days. However, after he discovered Jagoan’s natural gift of sight, his training focus changed.

If they were not short of time, Jagoan believed that he could train Jagoan into a qualified sniper in about a month.

Jagoan knew that Jagoan was also a soldier, and he would not lie, so he immediately called the disobedient soldiers over.

“Come here, stand at attention! Fall in line!” Jagoan blew his whistle, and these people reluctantly entered the line and stood in the first row.

“I asked you to train properly but you wouldn’t listen to me, so today I will let you know what it means that when I say thee is always someone better than you.”

After Jagoan finished speaking, he pointed at Jagoan and said, “This is today’s challenger. He just joined training three days ago and has never touched a firearm before…”

“You don’t think I have the qualification to teach you, right? If any of you beat him in the next shooting session, I will agree to everything you ask. No matter what it is.”

The young man heading the group of troublemakers was named Robinson.

Hearing this, he immediately took the initiative to step forward.

“Everyone heard what you said, you can’t go back on your word!” Robinson yelled.

“Of course, I won’t go back on my word. Everyone can testify for you!” Jagoan responded.

“Okay, count me in then.” Robinson stepped forward and stood in the same position as Jagoan.

It was normal to have a target shooting competition as it was part of the daily training anyway. However, Jagoan had selfish intentions. With so many recruits watching, he did not want Jagoan to lose.

Therefore, Jagoan selfishly replaced many of the static targets with moving targets.

“The rules of the competition are very simple. There are ten sets of targets in total and the highest score is 100… After the game is over, the winner will be determined according to the score. Three, two, one, go!”

Jagoan blew his whistle again and the two men raised their guns and started shooting.

In the beginning, Jagoan and Robinson were basically on par, and Robinson seemed very confident.

However, after the first three sets of targets passed, Robinson panicked because the target in his field of vision started to move by itself!

Life at the Top Chapter 2354-This was Jagoan’s area of expertise, and he effortlessly completed all the shootings.

When Jagoan put down his gun, Robinson was still aiming nervously.

“What are you so cocky for? We’ll only know who the winner is at the end!” Robinson snorted and reluctantly finished shooting at the moving targets.

Jagoan then called for someone to count each of their scores.

“I’ll be announcing the results now. Robinson has a total score of ninety-two!”

Robinson was filled with confidence after hearing his words because that meant that only four out of ten targets did not get the full score.

“Jagoan’s total score is ninety-nine!”

Hearing this, Robinson was shocked while Jagoan took the opportunity to teach him a good lesson. On the other hand, Jagoan was delighted to see the troublemakers admit defeat.

Half an hour later, Jagoan went to Jagoan with a small box.

“What’s this?” Jagoan opened up the box and saw a pure white pistol lying inside.

“The design looks delicate and very elegant… Are you sure it’s not for women?”

Jagoan nodded repeatedly. “You guessed it. It’s for women, but it’s no worse than a regular gun.”

Jagoan told Jagoan that the gun had been used by several female agents before it made its way into his collection. The reason why Jagoan took it out was that he thought that the gun was suitable for Jagoan.

“I’m not trying to offend you, but you’re different from us… You’re a boss. People might think you’re a terrorist if you go out on the streets with a gun during the day!”

Jagoan agreed with Jagoan’s words, “Jagoan, I think he has a point.”

“If you don’t want this gun, I will have to custom-make some self-defense weapons for you.”

Since Jagoan said this, Jagoan was no longer reluctant. “Fine then, I’ll take it and use it for self- defense.”

***

Time flew, and it was already the fourth day in a blink of an eye.

On that day, Jagoan received a call from Celine.

“I’m going to Bardot to attend the grand wedding. Will we have a chance to meet?”

Jagoan smiled when he heard that, but he did not answer her question.

“How did you know that I just got an invitation from President Murik?” Jagoan asked with a smile.

“With your skills, it’s not a surprise for you to get an invitation. I was just wondering if you’ll be attending… Besides, you never liked crowded places.”

Celine clearly knew Jagoan very well. However, she did not know the full story.

It was not that Jagoan did not like crowded places, he just did not want to repeatedly socialize for nothing.

If Jagoan was going to meet his friends and family, he would be glad to do so.

“Of course, I’ll go. I’ll have to pay my respects at such a grand international wedding.”

“Great, I’ll see you at the wedding then. Did you forget that you still owe me something?””

After hearing that, Jagoan recalled the unfinished trip to the Hanging Gardens.

“No problem, as long as you’re free, I’ll take you there once the wedding is over.”

The two of them chatted for a while before hanging up, and right then, President Murik came over.

“So, General Counsel, will you be attending the wedding?”

President Murik had only handed the invitation to Jagoan ten minutes ago, and he had to go back to work soon after receiving a call, but he had yet to receive an answer from Jagoan.

Life at the Top Chapter 2355-“Of course, I’ll go,” replied Jagoan.

“You really should because I heard that the second son of the Kurt Family, Kimbra Kurt, will be there. In my opinion, you can’t miss it.”

After hearing the name Kimbra Kurt, Jagoan recalled the first time he met the Kurt Family.

At the time, he had gone through a great deal with Jagoan to uncover the truth of the Kurt Family’s seizure of power. From then on, Jagoan decided to investigate the matter. If he could find a way to solve it, his cooperation with the Kurt Family in the future would be given.

Who knew that Jagoan would suddenly appear out of nowhere and catch him off guard?

Jagoan sighed. “That’s right… Since the Kurt Family will make an appearance, I must do the same.”

After this, Murik returned to his post, while Jagoan returned to his hotel room.

About half an hour or so later, Jagoan knocked on the door.

“Come in…”

Jagoan came in to give Jagoan quite a bit of inside information.

“Jagoan, here’s all the information you asked for…”

“If these aren’t detailed enough, I’m afraid I’ll have to go to Bardot to investigate.”

Jagoan was trying to say that he had tried his best, but Jagoan had never doubted his work anyway. He quickly sat down and carefully read the information one by one.

In today’s society, not having an intelligence report would be like going about like a headless chicken. If something were to happen, he might not even know the cause of his downfall.

After reviewing everything, Jagoan came across many new discoveries.

The first thing that caught Jagoan by surprise was that Sky Wolves Mercenaries had joined the Rothschild Family.

He thought that Sky Wolves Mercenaries had always followed Jagoan’s orders. At the end of the meeting the other day, if it were not for Sky Wolves Mercenaries covering for Jagoan, Jagoan would have gotten rid of that scourge. Therefore, the news he saw today was unexpected.

Why was this news reiterated?

Is there really nothing going on between them anymore?

Jagoan thought to himself.

The rest of the information helped Jagoan learn more about the wedding’s hosts.

The groom was Warwick Elvis, and he was from the second-to-none, Elvis Family from Bardot.

He was also the youngest president of the Chemical Corporation under the Elvis Family.

The bride Warwick was about to marry was Elibetha, a member of the royal family of the United Kingdom. Although she was not directly related to the royal family, she still held a significant position in the United Kingdom.

Why else would the entire world be watching her wedding with Warwick?

Through paparazzi photos and entertainment gossip, the people thought that they were a match made in heaven. However, anyone with a brain knew the true intention behind it.

If the Kurt Family were the most important oil family in Jagoan, then the Elvis Family was their right- hand man in helping them monetize their oil.

The annual revenue of the chemical corporation under the Elvis family accounted for sixty-five percent of all chemical products in Jagoan. Even the Kurt Family, who had just experienced internal conflict, had to send out representatives to attend.

Once the two parties came to an agreement and tied the knot, that meant a political marriage had been formed.

Jagoan did not have to think twice to guess that many people in the capital city of Bardot had done this to save themselves when they heard that the United States was about to do something.

Life at the Top Chapter 2356-If the wedding went smoothly, the Elvis family would be the in-laws of the Royal Family of the United Kingdom on paper. No matter how truculent and unreasonable the Anglo-Saxons in the United States were, they were just outsiders,

Once the catastrophe hit, the Elvis family could rely on clear Elibetha to help them escape it.

Jagoan found the information very interesting after reading it.

He knew that whether it be behind the scenes or in public, there had to be people who wanted to stop the wedding. Therefore, Jagoan did not put too much thought into it.

He just wanted to meet the second son of the Kurt Family, Kimbra Kurt.

After analyzing carefully, Jagoan thought of another important matter, Celine’s safety!

“Should we go a day earlier? That way we can familiarize ourselves with the environment there,” said Jagoan.

Jagoan nodded with no objection. Besides, now that Jagoan has been exposed, there was no need to hide.

Jagoan and Jagoan would go one day in advance and Jagoan would just follow President Murik on the day of departure.

Jagoan immediately called Jagoan to explain the details to him.

Needless to say, with Jagoan’s loyalty, he immediately agreed. “Don’t worry, Boss. I dragged you down last time, so I’ll pay extra attention this time to not let the same thing happen again.”

Jagoan smiled without saying anything as he knew that his words would be useless when it came to Jagoan’s personality. All he had to do was give him a second chance to prove himself.

After the discussion, he notified Murik.

He did it to give him an understanding of the situation so that Murik would not slip up when he was about to leave.

When everything was ready, Jagoan and Julan set off for Bardot. On the other hand, in the most prestigious suite of the Royal Hotel in Bardot, two gorgeous women were chatting about private matters.

One of them was Celine, who was invited to the wedding, whereas the other was the bride, Elibetha.

Elibetha looked a little angry, so Celine hurried over to comfort her when she saw her.

“Beth, are you still angry about the bridesmaid situation?”

“Of course. It’s my wedding, so why is having my best friend be my bridesmaid against the rules? Why does the Elvis Family have more rules than the Royal Family of the United Kingdom?” Elibetha complained while Celine could only smile and shake her head.

When she arrived in Bardot this morning, Elibetha was excited to help Celine pick out a dress from the moment they met.

Celine thought that she was going to buy clothes for her, so she hurriedly said that she had a dress.

After that, she learned that Elibetha wanted her to be her bridesmaid. Celine accepted her offer as they were best friends when they were studying abroad.

Who knew that Celine’s application to become her bridesmaid would not be approved?

The reason was that it was against the Elvis Family’s rules. Elibetha had been upset about this ever since.

“It’s okay, all big families have rules… Not being a bridesmaid won’t affect our relationship, right?”

Elibetha nodded happily when she heard that. “You’re right, we have the best friendship in the world, and no one can come between us!”

Life at the Top Chapter 2357-When she said that, Celine suddenly remembered something and asked a tentatively, “That was in the past. Will it still be that way after tonight?”

Elibetha knew that Celine was talking about her wedding so she hurriedly explained, “Don’t you doubt it, our friendship will never be up for debate whether I get married or not!”

“You can’t be like that, right? You’re going to be married, so you still have to take it easy. Or, are the rumors about your relationship true?”

As a member of the South American Maynard Family, Celine knew about the speculations that this was a political marriage.

Elibetha fell silent for a moment before nodding. “You’re right, things are exactly as people think.”

“Warwick’s childhood sweetheart girlfriend died in a helicopter crash three years ago. Although he has treated me well so far, I can’t help but feel resentment between the both of us…”

“I know that there’s nothing I can do to stop it, so it’s better to not think about it and just accept it.”

Celine was able to get a glimpse of the truth behind the wedding through Elibetha’s heartfelt words.

At this point, Elibetha fell silent again.

The atmosphere in the room was somewhat depressing, and even Celine did not know how to break the silence.

At that moment, a roaring engine sounded from outside the window.

Celine opened the window and heard the wild laughter of a group of young people. Although it was quite a nuisance, the passionate look of those youngsters touched Elibetha’s heart.

“By the way, since you’re getting married tomorrow, will there be a bachelorette party tonight?”

After Celine’s reminder, Elibetha, who had her hopes up for a moment, shook her head. “I can’t, you know why they made me stay here. The bodyguards outside aren’t protecting me, they’re watching me… So much for a bachelorette party. I guess I can only enjoy it in my next life!”

Elibetha clearly wanted a bachelorette party, but her circumstances did not allow it.

Celine looked at Elibetha’s back and felt pity for her. It turned out that the happiness she showed her today was just a forced smile.

“If you really want to go, I can help!” Celine said.

“Really? How are we going to get out?” Elibetha asked.

“Just say yes or no! There’s always a way!”

Elibetha gave it some thought and finally nodded her head.

Celine started acting immediately and asked Elibetha to help her tear the sheets into ropes.

“There’s a platform downstairs, so I’ll just ask the bodyguards to meet us there… Are you ready?”

Elibetha looked out the window and felt the breeze before nodding again.

The duo and their bodyguards worked together and finally escaped the cage-like hotel room. Then, Celine brought Elibetha to a bar.

***

Meanwhile, Jagoan was meeting a mysterious man at a bar too.

“You’re Ms. Jagoan? Why did you choose to meet at a place like this?” Kimbra was shocked to see the beautiful woman standing in front of him.

He had always interacted with Jagoan over the phone, but he thought that she was a middle-aged woman because of her sarcastic tone. It was their first encounter today, and he did not expect that this Miss Jagoan to be a young woman.

Jagoan was aware that Kimbra was checking her out, and she was secretly glad.

“What’s wrong with this place? Do you have a problem with bars?”

Life at the Top Chapter 2358-“Sort of. The people who come here aren’t all that great, so I don’t like coming here to talk about business,” Kimbra said.

Kimbra was right, but Jagoan had her own reasons as well.

“Don’t be silly, all of the high-end clubs and hotels in Bardot are full at this hour. We’ll be seen no matter where we go, but a place like this is a little more discreet,” Jagoan argued.

“Don’t you know the phrase, ‘dark under the lamp’?” Jagoan asked.

Hearing this, Kimbra sighed.

How are woman so meticulous when doing things?

“By the way, are your father and brother doing okay?” Jagoan asked another question.

Jagoan’s question seemed have a hidden meaning, but Kimbra’s answer was even more elusive.

“They’re doing great, at least they won’t be able to go against me anymore!” Kimbra told her.

“That’s good, it seems like I was right about you…”

When Jagoan first came to Qari, she first came in contact with the eldest son of the Kurt Famly, Robbins. She had thought that he would be her starting point, but it was a pity that Jagoan found out that he was extremely stubborn.

Although Robbins did not have much talent, he was obedient and honest. No matter what his father, the current head of the family, Baltimore, asked him to do, Robbins never questioned it.

Someone like that was not easy for Jagoan to work with, so she chose Kimbra instead, for his radical personality.

What he just said proved that Jagoan made the right choice. Kimbra had been neglected by his family ever since he was a child, so he turned out that way to prove himself to his father and brother.

Jagoan was just using him to make changes in the Kurt Family. She came here today to test him. However, Jagoan did not expect Kimbra’s character to be that extreme.

All of a sudden, Kimbra asked, “Ms. Jagoan, I heard that you had suffered a lot in Bashra, is that true?”

Jagoan did not want to answer because if there was any difference in her words, she would be admitting to it.

Kimbra was not a fool either. As soon as the news of Jagoan’s defeat came out, she asked him to meet her. No matter how he looked at it, Jagoan seemed to be the one who lost.

Kimbra was also testing to see Jagoan’s reaction.

“You’re right, I did underestimate that guy, Jagoan… Luckily I didn’t put all my eggs in one basket, so I can still depend on you right now!”

Jagoan knew that it would be counterproductive for her to continue hiding, so it was better for to admit it and verify Kimbra’s value.

Sure enough, Kimbra subconsciously smiled after hearing her words.

“His name is Jagoan, right? I’ve heard of him…”

“You know him? Have you met him?” Jagoan asked.

Kimbra shook his head and brought up an old story. “Of course, not. It was my father who saw him, not me.”

Kimbra told Jagoan about the rumors he heard after getting rid of Baltimore and his brother, Robbins. He heard that his father, Baltimore, met Jagoan when he was in Somerland, and that he once asked to work with him.

“You may not know my father well, but he will only ask someone to work together when he trusts them.”

Jagoan nodded thoughtfully as she was still making up lies in her mind and wondering how she could use Kimbra. Little did she know that there was already bad blood between them, which would save Jagoan a lot of effort.

“I see. You wouldn’t just sit by and watch tomorrow’s wedding, right?”

Life at the Top Chapter 2359-Jagoan looked at Kimbra, who was nodding seriously and thinking for a long time.

“Of course, not. Now that l’m on your side, there‘s no turning back. The Elvis Family finally found the Royal Family of the United Kingdom, so they obviously want us to go separate ways!”

Kimbra did not say anything more, but his intentions were clear. Once the wedding was successful, the Elvis Family would have a new backer.

When the time comes, they would be able to fight the Kurt Family as their technology was the top priority.

The Kurt Family only had the largest contribution rate of crude oil, so they did not play a decisive role at all. Even if they excluded Qari, there were just too many oil suppliers in the Middle East. Therefore, Kimbra had to do something about it.

“That’s what I thought too. It’s good that you understand. Then, let’s continue our cooperation tomorrow. We must ruin this wedding!”

After their discussion, Jagoan turned around and left.

Kimbra did not leave right away as he was still a man after all, there were many things he could do with money at a high-end bar like this.

Now that Jagoan was gone, it was time for him to show his talent. He picked up the phone and called the manager of the bar.

“Hello, sir. How may I help you?”

Kimbra was the current leader of the Kurt Family, so he had plenty of money. He casually threw a wad of money on the table before looking at him and said, “Here’s your tip…”

“Oh, thank you so much!” The manager kept the money and bowed immediately.

“Sir, I‘ll be at your service, so just let me know if you need anything!”

“Why are you still standing there then? I don’t want to stay in this room with you all night!”

“Oh… I see. Wait here while I go get some women to join you!” The manager went out to the lobby to look for some staff.

He looked around and felt that the women working for him were becoming less pleasing to eye.

They would be fine for serving regular customers, but if they were to serve distinguished guests like that guy, not only will he fail to get a tip, but he would offend the guest too.

Just as he was about to become furious, he heard the ringing sound of laughter.

When the manager turned his head, he saw two gorgeous women sitting in the corner. Although the two women were well covered-up in black robes, their faces alone were drop dead gorgeous.

The manager’s eyes lit up, and he immediately called someone over to ask, “Do you know those two?”

“I don’t know them. l’m guessing they’re our customers.”

“Nonsense, our guests wouldn’t dress that shabbily. I bet they’re daughters of poor families who managed to sneak in! Well… I just received a distinguished guest, so you should know what happens next, right?”

“Got it. I’ll go ask!” The lackey quickly walked up to the ladies with two cocktails in hand.

“Good evening, ladies, this is a gift from us!”

Jagoan and Elibetha, who were chatting, glanced at each other with a smile.

“Are you here to hit on us?”

“No, don’t get me wrong. I work here… It seems like both of you aren’t working, so we’re here to offer you a job.”

Working at a bar would almost never amount to something good.

Jagoan was not some innocent girl either, so she had heard about these things before.

Life at the Top Chapter 2360-With the way that guy was talking to Jagoan and Elibetha, how could Jagoan not get mad?

Hence, Jagoan said coldly, “Sorry, I don’t understand what you’re saying. We don‘t wish to be disturbed when we’re talking. Do you understand?”

Jagoan assumed he understood as she had helped Elibetha escaped so they could have some fun. She did not want to reveal their identity at such a crucial moment either. However, that was the problem.

The staff thought that the two girls were shy, so he started pulling tricks.

“Don’t be shy, you’ll get used to it in no time. Plus, our wages aren‘t bad..”

When he said that, Jagoan was starting to look irritated. She grabbed the glass of cocktail on the table and splashed it on his face.

“Enough! If you continue, we’ll call the police to tell them you’re harassing us!”

Jagoan’s behavior angered the lackey too, and he instantly clapped back, “Hey! Why act innocent when you’re obviously a wh*re? How dare you go against me and even threaten to call the police?”

“Guards!” The lackey shouted, and four or five guards instantly surrounded them.

Elibetha panicked as she grew up in the Royal Family of the United Kingdom, so she had been pampered her whole life.

She had never encountered a situation like this before, so she had been scared out of her wits for some time now. Although Jagoan was headstrong, she was still a girl.

When she was being surrounded, all she could do was shout, “Help!”

However, she was not out in the streets, so it was useless for her to call for help. Even if she caught someone’s attention, the lackey would act dumb and say that it was a family issue that they had to resolve themselves.

The lackey was afraid of causing a scene, so he took out the taser.

Jagoan and Elibetha got tased and carried down.

After they got carried outside, the lackey saw the manager outside too.

“Manager, why didn’t you tell me that these two were a handful. Otherwise, I would’ve brought back up.”

The manager was dumbfounded.

Why had both of them fainted?

After he asked, the lackey told him the story.

“What? l just managed to find these two girls just now, so I asked you to talk to them. Why did you do such a thing?”

“Huh? You didn’t specify…”

The lackey was at a loss for words, but the manager was also ruthless, and he made up his mind right away,

“Fine. Since it’s already done, let’s not talk about it… Hurry up and send them upstairs to private room number eight as soon as possible!”

“Yes, sir!”

The lackey was still looking for credit earlier, but now he dared not utter a word. He immediately had someone to send the girls to private room number eight.

When going upstairs, he reminded them a thousand times not to expose him and not to run into strangers. Even so, they still bumped into two people.

However, the lackey was still a sensible person. He saw that the two people were wearing masks and hats, which meant that they could not be seen at a place like this.

The two of them passed by each other without looking at one another. After the lackey led them upstairs, one of them, who wore a mask and hat, stopped in his tracks.

“What is it, Jagoan? Did you notice something?”

Jagoan paused for a moment as the group of people that just walked past him flashed though his mind.

“Wait a minute! Why do I feel that one of the girls they were carrying just now looked like Jagoan?”

Hearing this, Jagoan was stunned.

“It can‘t be, Jagoan… Why would she come to a place like this?”
