Now things were starting to get interesting.
Serenity had no idea that her man had just nipped another one of her headaches in the bud in those few minutes.
After the spaghetti was cooked to al dente, Serenity plated it with the rich tomato sauce base. She scattered diced pork belly and fresh basil on top, adding only a light dusting of chili powder to her own plate (just enough for a tiny kick, because she wasn’t sure she could handle anything hotter).
Statistics showed that Wiltspoonians generally weren’t big on super-spicy food.
“Mr. York, breakfast’s ready.”
Serenity carried her plate out of the kitchen and called toward the balcony swing, where Zachary was gently rocking. He didn’t say a word, but he got up and came inside.
Not seeing his portion on the dining table, he silently walked into the kitchen and brought out his own plate.
