Blushing, Cindy playfully retorted, "You married lady, don't tease me. Your husband's reputation for doting on his wife is well-known in San Joto."

Caught off guard, Lulu then shook her head, "Love makes people witty, it seems." "I think it's not just love but also friendship that does that," Cindy remarked, nudging her chin toward Lulu as if to say, 'I learned it from you.'

Nicole watched the banter between Cindy and Lulu, smiling contentedly.

Martin had changed in demeanor after his trip abroad. Nicole thought to herself, 'It sounds like he went through a lot. Thankfully, everything turned out well, and they ended up together.'

After lunch, Cindy bid farewell to Nicole and Lulu and left in a taxi.

Nicole then instructed the driver, "Let's head back to the company first." "Yes, Ms. Riddle." The driver responded and accelerated toward Riddle Corporation.

Back at the company, Nicole and Lulu had just alighted from the car when Patricia returned as well.

"Ms. Riddle," Patricia approached them.

"Why are you back so soon?" Lulu asked, somewhat puzzled.

"All the work at BayCorp has been handed over clearly, so I came back," Patricia replied.

Lulu, with a slightly raised eyebrow, lowered her voice and said, "Your timing is perfect. We encountered something on our way back." "What happened?" Patricia frowned, curious about what kind of strange occurrence could have taken place on the road.

In a hushed tone, Nicole said, "The black carthat was parked at our three o'clock, could you investigate it?"

Hearing this, Patricia narrowed her eyes as she nodded. "Understood."

As the trio spoke, they entered the building, their conversation appearing as casual as any regular chat, showing no signs of anything unusual.

The two occupants of the black car, having observed Nicole and the others entering the company, exchanged glances before sending out a message.

Nicole nodded gently. "I didn't want to stress you all out with this, so I was planning to keep it to myself. But now that Lawrence has people openly tailing me, I figured it's better to let you know so you can be extra careful too."

If it hadn't been for the discovery of Lawrence's men following her and Lulu today, she might not have disclosed this information, knowing it would undoubtedly cause concern among her family and friends.

"Can't we catch him?" Lulu frowned in frustration. 'Now that we know Lawrence is behind this, how can we just let him off the hook?'
