After a momentary hesitation, Edward nodded.

Although they knew he was unwilling, he always obeyed Lily.

Lily noticed it and slowly loosened her grip on Edward.

Lily said nothing but was shocked to her core.

It turned out this office was indeed hiding an important secret.

Not only did it have a secret room, but it was also tricky to enter.

Without seeing it for herself, she would not have known how much it took to unlock the secret room.

Still, she wondered how Edward knew this.

Lily propped her hip with one hand and leaned against the edge of the long row of tables, feeling much more comfortable with the support against her back.

"So what if you are? Do you think you can change anything? What a joke!"

He laughed increasingly madly, to the point his entire body convulsed.

Edward seemed angry and went over to give him a hard kick.

The kick landed squarely and heavily on the man’s stomach.

Grunting, the man curled up due to pain for a few seconds before continuing to burst into maniacal laughter.

It was as if he heard a funny joke, and nothing could stop him from laughing.

Edward grew upset and wanted to kick him again, but Lily raised her hand and said, "That’s enough."

Her voice stopped Edward, and the man’s laughter gradually became intermittent chuckles filled with ridicule.

Lily looked at him and said coldly, "Cut your act!"

The man tilted his head and looked back at Lily. To her surprise, he answered readily, “Our organization is beyond your imagination.

What do you guys know? You think you’ re acting nobly for the sake of righteousness, but the truth is that nobody is nobler in the face of reality and self-interest!”

“Cut the crap!” Mike said impatiently and crouched to meet the man’s eye level. “Are you guys supported by the royal family of Yudonia? Is my son in their palace?”
