Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2451-Lily straightened up and said without resentment, “Of course, you wouldn't."

"That's… quite a pity," the queen murmured thoughtfully.

"Well, there's a price to pay for everything. That's how the world balances itself,"

Lily continued, "I can't stop you if you must carry on with R10. Still, I won't witness whether or not it succeeds. I just wish the outcome isn't something you'll regret."

Lily smiled and turned to head out the door.

Rick heard their conversation as he stood guard outside. After exchanging looks with Lily as she brushed past him, he entered the room and saw the needles in Yasmin's legs. "Your Majesty, those needles—"

The queen waved dismissively. "It's okay. Lily will remove them later."

Even so, Rick was wary. "You're being too careless, Your Majesty. What if that woman—"

"She wouldn't," Yasmin interjected, shaking her head.

"Why do you trust her so much?" Rick asked despite himself.

The queen fell silent. If Rick had not asked her that, she would not have realized that she had always believed Lily despite herself.

Although Yasmin claimed she would no longer trust anyone, she still did not even suspect Lily of possibly poisoning the needles.

"I'll bring her back now!" Rick noticed the queen's pensive expression and turned to leave.

"It's okay!" the queen said, "I trust her."

Rick was surprised.

Mike never thought he would see his son again. Although he was determined to rescue Nick, he had begun to lose hope after going through so much.

Nonetheless, Mike embraced his son, as the latter was okay and had only lost a bit of weight.

"Dad, when can we go home?" Nick asked softly. After a pause, he lowered his innocent voice and added, "Can we ever go back?"

"Don't be silly. Of course, we can. Actually, I came to bring you home." Mike wrapped his arms around his son. "We'll go back together, and I'll never part with you again." "I don't want to part with you either!" Nick held his father.

Although he was more mature than his peers, he was still a child. He trembled in Mike's embrace.

During this period, he had always been scared despite his efforts to remain calm. Nick could finally relax after seeing his father.

As the duo chatted, the door opened. Mike immediately looked over and felt Nick jolting. Mike quickly held his son tighter, not wanting anyone to separate them.

However, it was Lily who entered. The duo sighed in relief when they saw her, and Nick warmly addressed her, "Lily!"

Lily smiled. "Hey, Nicky."

She looked toward Mike. "Are you feeling better now?"

Mike nodded and said sincerely, "Thank you so much."

"Don't thank me. You've done a lot for Nick as well. Anyway, I only managed to get them to let you two meet. They won’t set Nicky free."

Mike nodded. "I know. I'm happy enough even to see my son. Even if they kill me now, I'll—"

Nick clapped his hand over his father’s mouth. "I don't want you to die, Daddy!"

Mike softened. "I won't. We'll return home safely soon."

"Yes, we will," Nick said seriously. Although the boy merely echoed his father’s words, it touched Lily profoundly.

Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2452 -Lily tilted her head up to fight back her tears, saying, "There's something I find strange."

“What is it?" Mike asked after comforting his son.

"Instead of detaining Prince Ross, Her Majesty has sent him back to Yudonia. If so, why couldn't we reach him?"

After some thought, Mike answered, “There are two possibilities. It's probably due to poor signals, or he doesn't want us to contact him."

The two shared a look, knowing what each other was wondering.

'Why can't we contact Ross? Is he planning something?' Three days later, Lily inserted the last needle into the queen's leg and looked up at her, saying, “You should start feeling your legs tomorrow. Still, it'll take some time before you can stand."

Suddenly, Lily chuckled.

“Why are you laughing?" Yasmin touched her legs. She had begun to regain sensation in her legs over the last two days. She then began to believe that she could get up. However, the queen was hesitant when the queen heard Lily chuckle.

Lily shook her head and said, “Well, it was pointless, right? Since you insist on conducting the R10 experiment, you'll abandon your body sooner or later. I shouldn't have wasted my time treating you."

Yasmin squinted and asked, “Then why did you—"

“You're right," Yasmin said after sighing.

When it was time, Lily removed all the needles, and the queen moved slightly.

Although her legs remained still, she felt her toes move. It excited her because she had not felt such a sensation for many years.

“You've given me a wonderful gift, Lily." The queen looked up with tears in her eyes. “I have a gift for you, too."

Yasmin then turned and opened a wooden box with several bottles lying inside.

Lily was surprised, asking, “Is that…the R10 drug?" “You're right." The queen nodded, picked up a bottle, and squeezed it. She made up her mind and poured its content into a flowerpot beside her.

Lily gasped. "Your Majesty?"

"I couldn't sleep well for the past few months, but it wasn’t because of you guys.

I had been wondering if I should carry on with the experiment," Yasmin said slowly, "I was reluctant to give it up, but I wouldn’t know what I’d face if I were to continue.

“I decided to stop the experiment when my legs gradually regained sensation.

You guys were right all along. We all have our destinies, and I shouldn’t sacrifice so many lives for my obsession. I’m already exhausted and should finally stop to smell the roses.” Lily was at a loss for words, finding it hard to believe.

“Ross returned to Yudonia to take the throne. He’ll pave his path. It’s time for me to return to pass on my responsibilities to him.” Yasmin revealed a relaxed smile. “You guys are free to go. We all have journeys to embark on, right?"

“Anyway, I’m glad to have met you, Lily." The queen extended her hand. “Are we still friends?"

Lily silently gazed at Yasmin’s hand for a long while before holding it. The former nodded with a smile, saying, “Of course we are."
