Ch. 2351..2360
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2351-"Alright, since there's a morning scene to shoot, hurry up and go. Don't keep the cast waiting," Lucas said, urging Shaun to leave.
Of course, everyone had been in the business for so long, so they understood that Lucas did not want Melody to wait.
Once Shaun had left, Lucas could not stand the presence of the remaining people either. He dismissed them and then laid down on Melody's sofa. It was a place Melody often frequented, and he could still catch a whiff of her pleasant scent in the air.
Lucas' brow relaxed slightly, but the recent argument with Melody weighed on his mind. He could not help but wonder when Melody had started thinking about
leaving him. However, there was a voice in his heart that was crystal clear; he absolutely would not allow her to leave him.
He did not know what to do next. He shifted his body, curling up his long legs on the narrow sofa. He did not mind the crampness of the sofa as long as he could smell Melody's scent on it. Unaware, he drifted off to sleep once again.
Melody acted as if Lucas did not exist. After a big scene, her morning shoot was over. Although it took some effort in the morning to get her makeup done, Shaun was very satisfied with the outcome of the scene.
Melody had always added her own twist to the character beyond the analysis of the screenwriter and director, as if she was born for this role, which greatly surprised Shaun.
"You didn't sleep well yesterday, and you've been working hard this morning. Go back and rest," Shaun said.
Before letting her leave, Shaun specifically reminded her that Lucas seemed to have not left her dressing room.
"Okay, got it. Thank you, Mister Shaun," Melody replied with a face full of makeup, ready to remove it later. She was getting better at moving around with her crutches and did not need anyone's help at all. When she pushed open the door to her dressing room, Melody was surprised to find Lucas sleeping on her sofa. She frowned and approached him; even the sound of her crutch tapping on the floor did not wake him up.
"How tired could he be? If he's that tired, why doesn't he sleep at home? Why bother coming here? Can't he leave me alone? Isn't having Thalia enough for him?" Melody muttered to herself as she stood by Lucas' side, observing him sleeping.
Despite his usual aloof demeanor, he looked harmless while sleeping. Melody felt a mix of love and hate as she stared at him. She hated herself for not being able to break free immediately, but she also resented him for not letting her go.
It would be so much better if relationships could be cleanly cut like silk. As Melody was lost in thought, Lucas' phone, which was placed on the table, suddenly rang. Afraid of waking Lucas up, Melody instinctively grabbed the phone, but she did not realize the caller was Thalia.
In the midst of her hesitation, Lucas woke up and came over to see Melody holding his phone. He stood up and took the phone from her.
Melody felt embarrassed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to snoop on yourphone.
It was justthat you were sleeping so soundly…"
Before Melody could finish her sentence, Lucas took the phonel and laft the room.
His demeanor made Melody even.
more upset. 'Did he think I wanted to eavesdrop on their conversation? On, how wish these two people would just leave me alone!' Melody bit her lip. 'Why couldn't he leave earlier?'
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2352-Thalia called just to confirm whether Beatrice had said anything she should not have to Lucas. She had left early in the morning, fearing that Beatrice might stop her and ask what had happened last night. Although she had brushed off Beatrice's inquiries at the time, Lucas was not sober then. She was afraid he would realize what had happened if he had been present.
However, to Thalia's relief, Lucas' voice sounded normal over the phone.
"Lucas, where are you? I came to the library this morning because there are a few books I want to read that I couldn't find at home. Can you pick me up when you go back?" Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Lucas hesitated, his brows furrowing. He did not know when Melody would be off work, yet Thalia needed to go back.
"When are you planning to return? Didn't you have the driver take you this morning?" asked Lucas.
The Riveras' mansion was located in the suburbs, chosen with Beatrice and Cedric in mind. It was a bit far from the bustling city center, so they often relied on taking the car to go anywhere. Thalia would not have been able to go to the library if the family driver was not free.
"I knew you'd be going back, so I had the driver return early. Can't you pick me up on your way back? Do you have other things to attend to? Is there a lot going on at the company today?" Thalia asked. Lucas did not want to lie to her, but he really wanted to check Melody's daily meals. He would need to have Lynette prepare and send food over if the food in the cafeteria was not healthy.
"I'm not at the office right now. If it's not too far, why don't you come over to Melody's set later, and I'll take you back from there?" Lucas said.
Thalia felt a jolt in her heart. 'What time is it? It's so early in the morning, yet he's already visiting Melody? Does he really miss her that much? Just what kind of spell has Melody put over him to make him like her so much? She had managed to lure Lucas over and over again. Now, he's even asked me to take a cab to Melody's set. He never used to do that before!' "I'll text you the address if you decide to come," said Lucas, glancing at Melody, who was sitting on the sofa.
Thalia, worried that Lucas might get annoyed if she kept nagging, could only nod.
By the time Lucas turned back to leave, Melody had managed to hide whatever emotions she had.
"Have you finished filming your morning scenes? If so, take me to your dormitory," ordered Lucas.
After finishing her morning scenes, Melody was already feeling tired. "I want to rest. I don't have the energy to entertain you. Why do you want to go to my dormitory? There's nothing to see there, and it's not as luxurious as your home."
Lucas was unhappy at being brushed off like that. "Do you really not want to see me that much? Who do you want to see then? Don't forget there's still a contract be…"
"I've never forgotten for a moment that there's still a contract between us, and that I stitt owe you money.
Lucas; could you please stop bringing this up? I'm already exhausted!"
"I've told you not to work as an actress anymore. The last time you got hurt, I asked yow ifyou wanted to opme back and act in this movie. so you have no one to blame but yourself for feeling exhausted!"
Melody fell silent.
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2353-He's right. To him, my current exhaustion is also self-inflicted. I could've found an easier job if I didn't insist on pursuing an acting career. But why am I so tired? Was it because I didn't sleep at all last night due to him? And yet he dares to criticize my life choice?' thought Melody.
Not only did Melody feel physically tired, but she was also emotionally drained because she still owed Lucas a lot of money, which left her feeling trapped.
She certainly wished, if possible, that she did not owe him anything so that she could openly pursue her own desires without fear instead of feeling timid and constrained in everything she did.
"Is this really what you think? Do you believe this is my fault? If you think all this exhaustion is deserved on my part, then please, just stay away from me. I'm just a small-time actress. I'm not worth you wasting so much time on me, nor do I want to argue with you anymore."
Melody picked up the crutches leaning against the sofa and leaned on it as she walked away. She wanted to remove her makeup and then go back to her dormitory to have a good sleep.
Seeing her using the crutches instead of asking him to carry her made Lucas annoyed.
"Why do you insist on using the crutches? Why won't you ask me for help?"
asked Lucas.
Melody turned back with some surprise. "Are you kidding me? I can walk with the crutches myself. Why should I ask for your help? I already told you before I left home that you can't be with me all the time, so why do you insist that I rely on you? I am a grown woman, not some plaything that needs you to survive!"
Melody seemed genuinely incredulous. Lucas avoided her gaze, suddenly hesitant to meet her eyes. Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the FɪndNøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
"I didn't mean it that way. I just feel like you should ask for my help since I'm here with you now."
"There's no need. Besides, you'll leave me one day anyway, so I've already gotten used to it," replied Melody flatly.
Melody had been accustomed to doing everything herself since she was very young, perhaps a habit formed by the environment she grew up in. No one could rely on another person forever; her parents had already hammered this into her. Thus, why bother seeking validation from a stranger like Lucas?
Even though Wendy was a few years older than Melody, whenever she did something wrong, their parents were always there to back her up, so she never felt afraid. However, it was a different case for Melody.
In their household, even breaking a glass would scare Melody for a long time. She did not know if it would!
proyoke henniothers disgust. She was terrified of seeing the disdain in her mother's eyes, as if saying "What good are you if you can't even do this right?"
Despite her fear, Melody still managed to endure all the disgain thrown at her, Afterward, she resoived that if she ever had children, she would not let them live in fear.
It was the same when she grew up.
Melody would not have accumulated such heavy debts if it werecho? for her family. However, she had never regretted her choice. It was better to be in debt than to continue suffering in that family.
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2354-At least in the future, Melody would not have to worry about her family dumping their messes on her again. Sometimes, she wondered if they were really her parents, but rather found her by the dumpster. Why else would they despise her so much?
Her mother even treated Wendy better than herself. The only time her parents ever thought of Melody was when there was a mess to clean up. Otherwise, they were blissfully unaware of their second daughter Melody's face darkened, and her mood turned sour at the thought of her family. Having left that family did not mean she could completely forget everything that happened in the past.
After all, she grew up and lived there for twenty years.
Just as the atmosphere between Melody and Lucas became tense, there was a sudden knock on the door. Lucas looked displeased, wondering who could be so oblivious as to knock while they were alone.
'Couldn't it have waited?' Melody, oblivious to Lucas's mood, let the person outside in only to find it was Sherman. Surprised, she exclaimed, "Sherman, what brings you here?"
Caught off guard, she even forgot about her injured left foot and stood directly on it, only to cry out in pain and collapse into a chair.
Both Lucas and Sherman rushed to her side at the same time.
"What's wrong with you? Have you forgotten that your foot isn't healed yet, you foolish girl?" Lucas' tone was very harsh, contrasting with his gentle actions as he handled her foot.
Melody frowned. In reality, her foot was almost fully recovered; it just hurt a bit from the sudden jab on the ground.
"It's nothing serious. It did hurt a little just now, but it's fine now," said Melody.
Feeling embarrassed with Lucas holding her foot like that, especially with Sherman present, Melody tried to retract her foot, but Lucas ignored her and carefully rolled up her pants leg to inspect the injury. After confirming that it was not aggravated by the pressure Melody put on it, he slowly placed her foot back on the ground.
"What do you mean 'it's already healed'? You've even forgotten you were hurt,"
said Lucas.
Lucas felt jealous. 'She's so happy to see Sherman that she even forgot about her own injured foot!' Melody was genuinely pleased to see Sherman. She had only met him once since her hospitalization "Sherman, what brings you here today?" she asked.
Sherman looked concernedly at her foot. "Are you sure your foot is okay?
Do you need to go back to the M hospital toPanother check-up?"
Lucas' hand did not leave Melody's foot; instead, he carefully massaged around the injury.
During one of Melody's previous doctor visits, the doctor mentioned that massaging could help improve blood circulation and reduce bldod clots in hef fobt, aiding in quicker healing. Lucas had taken note of this and had been massaging Melody's foot ever since they returned home.
The warm sensation from his touch made Melody feel much more.
comfortable.
Being accustomed to Lucas's massages at home, Melody did not think much of it. However, Sherman, witnessing this intimate scene, felt a bit uncomfortable. "Don't worry, Sherman. My foot is almost healed; otherwise, I wouldn't be back here filming," Melody reassured him.
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2355-"Here, have a seat. It's been a while. How have you been?" asked Melody.
After Sherman greeted Lucas, he answered Melody with a smile, "Things are going well. Remember the deal I told you about last time that was a little hard to get? Well, we managed to secure it."
Melody was genuinely happy to hear Sherman's good news. "That's fantastic!
That deal was really tough. I always say you have a strong team with you, and with you involved, how could the client not hire your company!"
Sherman's eyes crinkled with his smile as he reached out to ruffle Melody's hair, leaving both Melody and Lucas momentarily stunned. Melody immediately
recoiled, feeling uncomfortable with the sudden, intimate gesture. Adding Lucas's presence to the scene made it even more peculiar.
"Um, thanks, Sherman. I just finished filming, and I completely forgot my hair was a mess…" Melody said, trying to diffuse the situation.
Sherman remained smiling, offering no explanation for his actions. Meanwhile, Lucas stood up. Being an inch taller than Sherman, he appeared imposing as he looked down at him.
Melody tugged at Lucas' sleeve, signaling him to calm down. Sherman had come to visit her, and she did not want any trouble.
Meeting Melody's gaze, Lucas conceded defeat. After all, he had just made her upset a moment ago.
Lucas sat down on the sofa by himself, allowing the two others to continue their conversation. Despite the awkwardness of the situation, he remained in the room, refusing to leave.
Sherman asked Melody, "You asked me how I've been, but what about you?
Has filming been smooth since you returned? I heard your crew has cleared their name. I bet no one would dare to mess with them anymore!"
Bringing up this topic made Melody happy. Ever since they had exposed all the evidence online, everyone realized Tracy had misled them. Since then, their crew were no longer called a bully.
"It's going much better than before. Previously, everyone was hesitant to speak up about anything, but after the clarification, there's no need to hide anymore.
And filming used to be quite difficult. We even faced criticism when we started shooting. Although I wouldn't say everyone loves us now, there's definitely some audience looking forward to watching this movie."
As Melody mentioned, a portion of the audience believed it was just a publicity stunt by the film company. How else could they explain such an incompetent crew? However, the majority were genuinely looking forward to the movie coming out, partly because of Shaun and partly because of Melody. Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Many critics, who had been harsh in the past, had also praised Melody's acting skills, which she had read and promptly forgotten about. After all, the same people could praise her one moment and then criticize her harshly the next. The audience always knew best when it came to it. Regardless, all their efforts would not be in vain as long as the movie had audiences willing to pay to watch it.
Melody did not dare to fight back even though some mocked the crew for being foolish bedause, from the Idoks of it, il did seem like the intelligence of everyone in the crew was lacking.
"That's really great to hear. You have no idea how jealous initially other people were of me when they found out i know you. But affer the bullying incident, they started behaving sarcastically toward me. I didn't dare to say much, but I definitely trust you.
After this clarification, no one will dare to mock me again. So I'm really happy for us!" said Sherman.
It was a relief for Melody as well.
After all, her fans would be alte ito!
hold their heads up high too after the clarification.
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2356-Lucas was looking down at his phone, flipping through files. He never expected Sherman and Melody to have so much to talk about. They were deep in conversation when Thalia knocked on the door to Melody's room.
Melody looked somewhat curious toward the door. 'Why are so many people coming to see me today?' However, her smile faltered when she saw who it was.
"Hi there, Melody. Sorry to bother you again. I hope my presence here won't cause you too much trouble. Lucas is taking me back, so I figured I'd just come here." Melody kept her smile, though it had faded. "Ah, I see. Of course, it's no
trouble at all. My scene is already over. You two can head back first if you want,"
said Melody.
Thalia looked at Lucas coquettishly, but there was also a hint of impatience in her eyes as well.
However, Sherman showed no intention of leaving, so how could Lucas even think about leaving?
"I'm not in a hurry. It's almost lunchtime, anyway. Let's grab a meal together,"
Lucas suggested, glancing at his watch.
"Yeah, it's about time for lunch," Sherman agreed.
Sherman was surprised to see Thalia. 'When did she come back?' However, Thalia did not seem surprised to see him there because she did not recognize him.
"By the way, who's this gentleman here?" Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Thalia glanced at Lucas instinctively, and Lucas simply uttered two words, "My cousin."
"Oh, so you're Lucas' cousin. Nice to meet you," said Thalia.
Sherman reached out his hand. "Hello. I've heard Lucas would fly to Molomia to visit you whenever he has the time."
"Not really… Lucas is always so busy with work!" Thalia said, a bit shyly, playfully hitting her own head. She looked at Lucas bashfully. However, Lucas remained stiff. "Don't make things up."
Sherman nodded understandingly. "I was just kidding. Come on, let's all go grab lunch together. It's fate that we've all met here."
Melody just wanted to go back to her dormitory and be alone. She did not want to continue participating in this kind of superficial socializing.
"You guys go ahead. I'm feeling a bit tired. I want to go back and rest," she said.
Sherman immediately said with concern, "That won't do. You haven't had lunch yet. No matter how tired you are yoy need to fif your stomach befdre resting. Otherwise, you'll just keep getting thinner." Lucas shared the same sentiment. "If you're tired, I can buy food and bring it to your dorm."
No one seemed to inquire about Thalia's opinion, causing her expression to turn sour.
'That Melody really knows how to play her cards. Sherman looks like she's been bewitched by this manipulative woman as well! How useless!'
"We can order takeout instead if Melody is feeling tired. That way, we don't have to go out and chat while eating! Come on, it's not often that we all get together like this. Don't you want to hang out with us, Melody?"
Thalia finally spoke up.
Melody remained silent for a moment, unsure of what to say. She ready he no no knox here train, got the confidence that she would hear the answer she wanted. "Well, if you're already tired, there's no need to stay for lunch. Thalia, you wait here. I'll take Melody back to the dorm," Lucas intervened.
As Lucas wanted to put his hand around Melody's waist, intending to escort her back, Thalia hurriedly grabbed his arm.
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2357-chapter will update soon
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2358-Melody smiled faintly, understanding why Thalia was so resentful. The man who had been so intimate with her just last night was now showing concern for another woman in front of her. She would probably feel angry too if the roles were reversed.
"It's alright," she said calmly.
The atmosphere became even more awkward once they got into the car, but Sherman took the initiative to break the silence.
"How's the filming going? How long until we can see your work on the big screen? I'm really looking forward to it!"
What Sherman said echoed Melody's own thoughts. Despite hearing plenty of praise from those around her during the filming, she knew that the true test would come when the movie hit the theaters. Only ther would they know the real outcome of their efforts. While a film's success could not solely be judged by box office numbers, they still served as an indicator of public reception.
"We are past the halfway mark. It has been smooth sailing since the incident with Tracy has been cleared up. At this rate, we should finish filming in about two months. However, there's still post-production work after that, so it won't be ready for release so soon," Melody explained.
A movie had to go through an incredibly complex process for it to eventually make its way to the theaters. Even though their scenes were done, it would only be half the work, as post-production work was often lengthy and intricate.
However, with Shaun overseeing everything, Melody and the rest of the team were not too concerned about it.
"Oh, I completely forgot that Melody is still filming. How's it going? Is the set fun? Is the actors' life really different? Melody, can I visit your set next time? I've never been to a film set before!" Thalia exclaimed. Melody smiled; the film set was her workplace, not a place for anyone to drop by casually. Before she could respond, Lucas interjected, "They're busy filming every day. What would you do there? Don't cause trouble."
Thalia rolled her eyes, visibly dissatisfied. "Lucas, I just want to see how filming works! Can't you bring me? Otherwise, why were you at the set today?" sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ ꜰindNʘvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Lucas did not want to reveal why he was at the set. He glanced at Melody sitting in the back through the rearview mirror. Unfortunately, Melody's gaze was not on him; instead, she was looking out the window. As they continued their conversation, Melody began to feel tired and found more enjoyment in gazing at the scenery outside.
"Does your leg hurt when you film?" Sherman was still worried.
After all, Melody felt a great deal of pain, even with just a light pressure on her foot, and it was not possible to sit all day on set. Thus, Sherman could not help but worry how Melody would get through the day. Turning back to face him, Melody reassured him, "You don't need to worry, Sherman. Most of my scenes now involve lying down or sitting. Mister Shaun and the crew take good care of me as well. Besides, it's just a sprain. I'll be back in tip-top condition after a few more days of rest."
She was not worried about her leg; rather, she was concerned that it would delay the filming schedule if the sprain did not heal soon. Shaun had deliberately rearranged the filming schedule to accommodate her injury, but the upcoming scenes required her standing.
It did not sit well with Lucas that Melody was talking to Sherman While ignoring him.
Thalia, sitting beside Lucas, observed his demeanor closely, noticing his upusual behavior.
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2359-After they arrived at the restaurant, Thalia was the first to sit down. As Lucas was about to sit next to Melody, Thalia tugged at his sleeve. "Lucas, what are you waiting for? Sit down quickly." "I was just about to…" Lucas began to say, but Sherman had already helped Melody to her seat.
He then sat down next to her and looked up at him innocently. "Lucas, why are you still standing?"
Thus, Lucas had no choice but to sit down next to Thalia with a cold expression.
"Hello, may I take your orders? Would you like me to recommend our restaurant's signature dishes?"
At that moment, a waitress approached them, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the four attractive individuals seated together. Despite her excitement, she managed to restrain herself.
The woman seated furthest seemed to be a popular actress. The waitress' friend adored her, but the waitress could not recall her name at the moment.
"No need for recommendations. I've been to this restaurant before. Four servings of charcoal-grilled steak, one dish of grilled prawns, a bowl of mushroom soup, and a Caesar salad without kale. My husband doesn't like kale. Take a look and see if there's anything else you'd like. The charcoal-grilled steaks here are exceptional, so I took the liberty of ordering for all of us." Melody said.
Melody handed the menu to Sherman. She was not particularly fond of grill bars; she just wanted something to fill her stomach.
"Add two more of your recommended main courses and a serving of creamy pumpkin soup. That should be enough," Sherman added. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
With the meal they ordered, the four of them would have plenty to eat. While they waited for the food to arrive, Thalia suddenly asked Melody to accompany her to the restroom.
Melody was puzzled. She still needed to walk with crutches, so why would Thalia ask her to go along?
"You can go to the restroom alone. Her foot still hurts, so it's inconvenient for her to go with you," Lucas said firmly.
While some girls might prefer to go to the restroom together, it was not appropriate to ask Melody, who was experiencing difficulty in walking.
Thalia stared at Melody intensely, her expression appearing anxious.
Melody suddenly thought that Thalia might have gotten her period. There were only two girls present, her and Thalia. It would be embarrassing if Thalia were to ask the men to go with her.
Thus, despite the discomfort, Melody reluctantly accompanied Thalia to the restroom.
"I'll just wait outside for you. I didn't bring anything with me, though. iso, even if youcall me over…"
" Melody began to say.
Thalia turned around in the mirror, looking relaxed and no longer booking urgent. "Melody, when did l ever say I needed your help?"
Melody suddenly got angry as Thalia stared condescendingly at her injured foot.
"What do you mean by this? Did you call me over here just to provoke me?"
Thalia scoffed coldly. "On, I would never dare to do that. After all, you're a big-shot actress now while I'm just a nobody. Why would Want to m provpke You?" just hope that before you act, Melody, you'll use your brain and not be arrogant. Especially-" She approached Melody and continued, "When it comes to Lucas. You'll stay away from him if you know what's good for you."
Melody snapped.
The Day I Kissed An Older Chapter 2360-Melody was genuinely surprised. Thalia had been acting nice to her in front of Lucas all these days but revealed her true colors as soon as they were alone!
"Miss Thalia, are you mistaken? You should be the one to stop coming in between Lucas and me. Isn't it enough that you secretly sent that photo to me last night, and now you want to warn me to my face?" Even in her anger last night, Melody could guess that Thalia must have deliberately sent that intimate photo to her. There was no way it could have been a slip of the hand. Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Moreover, they had only added each other as friends but never sent anything.
Thalia had to find her contact to send that photo specifically. Then she waited
before deleting it, claiming she sent it to the wrong person. Melody did not believe Thalia would actually send that photo to Lucas.
"Melody, you know how long I've known Lucas. How dare you accuse me of coming in between you two? If it weren't for you, I would be the one with him right now. You're the one who stole Lucas from me! I advise you to know your place and stop trying to break us apart!"
Melody had thought many times about how to face Thalia, but she never imagined that they would end up tearing each other apart in the restroom of a restaurant. In private, she could feel sad and jealous about the years of history between Thalia and Lucas. However, once Thalia provoked her, she would not back down.
What mattered even if Lucas and Thalia had many years of history between them? At the end of the day, it was Melody who signed the contract with Lucas!
They were the ones who were married to each other "Miss Thalia, before you say such things, why don't you consider where you stand? It doesn't matter how long you've known Lucas because there's a legally binding marriage contract between us, while you're just an old friend of his returning from abroad. Have you ever considered that you have no right to ask me to stay away from him?"
Thalia had to admit she underestimated Melody. She did not expect Melody to respond that way. In fact, she remained unfazed and smiling as she countered Thalia.
Thalia had thought that after she said these things, Melody would surely leave on her own accord!
"Oh? Well then, why don't we give it a try? Let's see who matters more to Lucas, you or me?"
Melody's smile faded gradually as she did not know what Thalia was up to. "I advise you to be rational. I don't want to argue with you in public. If there's nothing else, I'm leaving."
Melody, leaning on her crutches, was about to leave when Thalia suddenly grabbed her. Melody was already relying on her crutch for support, and Thalia nearly caused her to lose her balance and fall. It made her angry.
"What are you doing? Do you think I won't hit you?"
Melody stood on one leg, trying hard with her other hand to pull her crutch out of Thalia's grip. Unexpectedly, Thalia let out a scream and fell backward, hitting the ground with a sharp thud on the back of her head. The sound made Melody freeze in place, forgetting about her crutch.
She anxiously called out, "Thalia, are you okay?"
Thalia blinked slowly. The impact of her fall was severe, and she had hot yet reagted Her eyes seemed to be yet reagted Hef eyes seemed to be closing.
Afraid that Thalia might lose consciousness, Melody kept calling her name repeatedly: LUst then, m apother Woman came out of the restroom. She immediately screamed when she saw the scene before her.
"Ah! Someone's dead!"
