Yet, Leon first offered 30 million then raised the price to 37 million to compete against him.

This was not a small amount and he could not understand how Leon would have so much money. Hence, he suspected that Leon was just bidding to spite him.

"Whether I have that much money isn't your concern. If you can't offer a higher price, get lost and save yourself the embarrassment," Leon retorted and returned Bucky's words.

"Don't get smug, kid! It's just 37 million. It means nothing to me! I'll bid 43 million!" Bucky scoffed, provoked by Leon's sarcastic comment.
