The Ex Husbands Revenge Chapter 2831-"Nonsense! Leon, you're not a doctor and I've never heard that you know anything about medicine. How can you treat her? Do you two take me for a fool?" Renee said angrily.

After spending some time with Leon, she felt that she knew Leon quite well, but she never heard that Leon practiced medicine.

Since Leon was not a professional doctor, he would be an amateur at best.

If Candice was truly feeling unwell, she should have gone to the hospital or professional doctors.

"Why you!" Leon was annoyed that Renee refused to believe him.

Naturally, Candice felt the same as well and her expression darkened.

Getting off the bed, she strode over. "Renee Morrison, who are you calling shameless? I'm warning you!" she reprimanded while suppressing her anger.

Though both Candice and Renee were noble ladies, they did not meet that many times in the past and were not close.

Since the Morrisons somehow stole the partnership with Cynthion Group from the Dagleshs, Candice had a bad impression of the Morrisons.

On top of that, Renee accused her of sleeping with Leon, slandered her virtue, and called her shameless, so she was enraged.

Still, Leon was right there and he seemed close with Renee. Therefore, she suppressed her anger out of respect for Leon.

Since Candice was at the hotel, she must have been the person who approached Leon.

"Renee, calm down. I told the truth. Nothing happened between me and Miss Daglesh. Can you stop messing around?" Leon reprimanded Renee, displeased by her unreasonable behavior.

As she grew angrier, she was less inclined to believe him.

She was in love with Leon and subconsciously considered him her boyfriend.

Hence, she refused to believe what Leon and Candice said.

When he was treating Candice, they were in a rather compromising position and coincidentally, Renee saw them.

He was so busy explaining himself to Renee that he did not think much of it.

However, Candice's words reminded him that Renee was not his girlfriend or a family member.

Even if something did happen between him and Candice, Renee had no right to question it.

"I-" Renee was taken aback and rendered speechless by Candice's words.

Because of jealousy and her feelings toward Leon, she accused Candice of being shameless.

However, Candice's retort struck a crucial point.

It was at this moment that she remembered she was not Leon's girlfriend and that it was up to them to do whatever they wanted.

She had no right to confront Candice, and she could not argue with that.

"No, this has nothing to do with Miss Daglesh. You don't know this, but I already have a girl-" Leon shook his head, intending to explain that he already had a girlfriend.

However, something unexpected happened before he could finish his sentence.

"How impressive!" A sneer sounded outside.

Ruth, with her petite frame and beautiful features, stormed into the room, followed by four equally beautiful women.

They were none other than Iris, Cynthia, Snow, and Roanne.

Apart from them, Leon's subordinates, Henry and Chandler, were there as well.

Leon completed the production of the alchemical pills in the afternoon the day before.

He called Cynthia the same night, arranging for Chandler to escort Cynthia to the western region to assist him with the sales drive.

However, Iris was his girlfriend and he was worried that Iris would be convinced that there was something between him and Candice and Renee.

That was hardly what he wished to see.

"Friends? You two seem like more than friends," Iris said expressionlessly.

"What?" Leon was confused.

Though Iris seemed calm, he could tell that she was upset.

He already explained that he was merely friends with Renee and Candice, so he could not figure out why Iris was mad.

"Leon, don't act dumb! We heard this girl confessing her love for you in this room just now! What kind of friends do that?" Ruth sneered.

The group overheard Renee confessing to Leon.

Hence, Iris, Ruth, and the others were all displeased with him.

"I see," Realization dawned on Leon.

"Leon, who are they?" Renee asked.

"That's not possible! When I arrived, Candice was on the bed blushing and Leon was covered in sweat. How can he be treating her?" Renee questioned.

Unlike Iris and the others, she saw Leon and Candice in a suspicious state.

There were plenty of points that she found odd, such as why Candice was on the bed and why Leon took so long to open the door.

Everything seemed odd and her instinct was telling her that there was more than treatment going on.

"What? Did that happen?" Iris's expression darkened.

She studied the robe Leon was wearing and spotted sweat stains on it.

This proved that Renee was telling the truth.

Her initial trust in Leon turned into doubts once again.

"Leon, what's with the sweat stain on your body? Care to explain?" Iris questioned coldly.

Cynthia and the others turned to Leon as well, waiting for him to offer a reasonable answer.

"I-" Leon was rendered speechless.

He could not tell them that the moans and noises Candice made while he was treating her messed with his mind.

He almost caved to temptation and ended up drenched in sweat.

"I have nothing to say. I'm innocent, Iris. After all that we've been through, you should know what kind of a man I am. Nothing happened between me and Miss Daglesh. Please believe me," Leon stared into Iris's eyes sincerely.

He was always virtuous and righteous. After being with Iris for so long, they went through storms.

Based on what Iris knew about him, he felt that she should trust him unconditionally. At the very least, she was not supposed to doubt his virtue over trivial matters.

"Believe you? After what you've done behind my back, you expect me to believe you?" Iris laughed angrily and stared at him in disappointment.

Though she knew that Leon was not a man who would cheat, the truth was staring her in the eyes and Leon refused to explain himself.

Amid her rage, she could not bring herself to believe him.

In the end, Iris almost died because of that incident.

This upset him and made him feel extremely disappointed.

She recalled the past breakup between her and Leon, realizing that she might have misunderstood again.

Her consolation may be able to ease his pain and prompt him to leave Iris and be with her.
