Everyone was shocked once more.
‘Why would Venom Widow give such an order? What did that even mean?’
No one could tell what she was trying to do.
Upstairs, the more Alex stared at Frostine, the more curious he got. He initially thought that this woman was wearing some sort of mystical tool that his father had made. Yet upon further observation, it was no tool but Chi coming from inside of the woman’s body. But Alex couldn’t put his finger on what their connection was.
‘Could she… Have done something with Dad?’
‘And she’s now pregnant with Dad’s child?’
‘I really can’t think of any other explanations.’
However, he noticed that Frostine wasn’t pregnant after using his Third Eye.
“You’re Alex Rockefeller, right? Then… Do you know someone called William Rockefeller?” Frostine asked before Alex could say anything.
Alex nodded and put on a weird expression. “Yeah, he’s my father.”
Frostine covered her mouth with her hand, seemingly overwhelmed. “This… This is just great.”
Alex stared at her and asked calmly, “So should I call you Mom or something?”
“Huh..?!” Frostine’s eyes widened, confused.
She then shook her head profusely. “You must be mistaken. How could I ever be… My name is Frostine Usoro, your father’s disciple. So, according to our statuses, I should call you my little brother.”
‘Little brother, my a*s!’
Before Alex could say a word, Frostine got on one knee as her purple shawl fell to the ground. Her red dress was rather sexy, hence her position made her look even more seductive.
With one leg exposed, and her cleavage in full show, Alex could see everything from that angle.
“Brother, how… Did you lose your legs?”
“Which bastard did this? How dare they chop your legs off? I’ll avenge you right now!”
“Oh and, is this little girl your daughter?”
With that many questions thrown at him, Alex didn’t know which one to answer. He had questions himself, but he wanted to ask about his father’s whereabouts the most. Hence, he spoke up.
“Wait, what about my dad? Where is he now?”
“He’s not in this city, I don’t even know where he was headed to,” replied Frostine.
“How long has he left?”
“For… More than six months at this point!”
Alex immediately let out a long sigh. However, he could confirm that his father was indeed still alive from what Frostine told him. It also seemed like he was living quite a good life to be able to accept this woman as his disciple.
Moreover, this disciple, on the beginner level of Profound Mystic, was quite strong as well.
Alex had encountered quite a few cultivators in this city, but the Nascent Soul stage seemed to be the limit. There were quite a lot of Core Formation cultivators, but there weren’t any in Nascent Soul. He didn’t see any in the night market, let alone a Profound Mystic. She was the first that Alex saw there.
After that, the two talked for quite a long while.
Alex figured that William came by Starborn City three or four months after he faked his death. Yet didn’t stay for long, only half a month or so.
Despite this, it would seem that Frostine viewed William as a legend within this city. She just looked and spoke about him with such adoration and love.

“Sister, Bubbles needs her milk soon. I’ll have to head back for now. I’ll come back to see you tomorrow,” he said as he stared at a squinting Bubbles.
“Head back? To where? Come now, you should sleep in my place! You haven’t told me anything about yourself!”

“Let’s just go get it then! Come on, hurry up! Oh, and let me hold the child too. I’m kind of like… Her aunt, right?”
Just then, a woman’s voice came from downstairs, clearly infuriated. “Who did this? Who killed my niece? Come out this instant!”

Alex looked at Frostine. “They’re here for me. I killed them.”
Frostine huffed coldly. “You just killed Lily. What’s the big deal about that? Ugh, my sixth sister-in-law had always been rude and insolent. I’ve been waiting to teach her a lesson for ages. Come on. I’ll stand up for you.”
“I can…”
“Don’t be scared. I’ve got your back.”
“I’m not…”
“Exactly! That’s the spirit, good boy!”
The woman held Bubbles in her arms and gave Alex a sloppy kiss on his cheek, leaving some saliva on it as well. After that, she grabbed his wheelchair with one hand and went downstairs.
At the time, everyone was crowding up once more, watching the sixth madame of the Usoro family, who was also Lily’s aunt. They gossiped among themselves…
“The killer has been captured by the Fifth Lady! She brought him upstairs. I’m guessing he’s dead at this point!”

When they reached the first floor, Frostine placed Alex down carefully. She moved as though putting down an antique vase, worried she might shatter it if her hand slipped. She then lifted her gaze and looked towards her sixth brother’s wife, her tone chilly. “What are you screaming for? This is an Usoro family business. Do you think it’s some night market?”
“Fifth sister, you… Why are you here?” Anais Matther was terrified when she saw Frostine.
However, thinking back on her status as an in-law of the Usoros, she figured that she shouldn’t have to be afraid of family.
She pointed towards Alex. “Fifth sister, did this bastard kill my niece? I only have one niece, you know? Now that she’s killed in our family’s store, our family would become a laughing stock if we don’t make her killer pay!”
“So what? Do you want to kill him?” Frostine asked her calmly.
“Not only does he have to die, but his daughter also has to as well!” Anais yelled in a harsh tone.
“And what if I don’t agree?”
Anais froze after hearing what Frostine said. She was extremely shocked. “What do you mean by that, fifth sister? Are you into him? Sure, this guy looks decent, but he’s disabled! If you want a pretty boy, I can find one for you. It won’t be a problem if you want ten! You can’t even use this cripple bastard if you wanted to.”
Smack!
Frostine slapped Anais across the face, leaving the entire crowd confused.
Anais was a member of the Usoro family. This meant that Frostine was slapping her sister-in-law for an outsider.
“I’ll give you a chance to kneel down and apologize!”
“He’s the most important person to me, and his daughter is mine as well!”
Frostine said this just to prove important both Alex and Bubbles were, but everyone else interpreted it otherwise.

However… Everyone remembered something.
Half a year ago, Frostine was still engaged to the Yate family. Yet, in the same time frame, Frostine had personally destroyed the entire Yate family, including her fiancé. That was how she got the title “Venom Widow.” It wasn’t like the nickname bothered her anyway.
It now seemed like Venom Widow had been seeing someone else long before that incident happened.

Anais’ face turned pale. “Fifth sister, he… He killed my niece, yet you still want me to kneel?”
Frostine released her aura. “Are you not willing to? Then I don’t mind…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Anais knelt down immediately.
Alex didn’t feel much about what was happening before him. This was mainly because he didn’t relate to this city one bit, let alone its people.
He was very surprised to learn that Frostine used to be his father’s disciple. It was a pity that she didn’t know of his whereabouts. Yet, now… He just wanted to bring his daughter back and let her sleep after feeding her.
“Dory!” Alex called out to his servant.
Although she had fainted, she felt as if her soul quivered. It woke her up, and she crawled back to her feet immediately.
“Mister…”
“Ah, Mister! You’re alright?”
She was confused after just regaining consciousness.
Her mind even went blank after seeing Anais kneeling before them. She recognized Lily’s aunt since she had been abusing her power in Starborn City after marrying into the Usoro family and getting on her high horse.
‘Even so, this woman is kneeling before Alex?’
‘Oh my god!’
‘What happened?’
Just then, Alex spoke up. “Sister, I’ll be heading back now. You don’t have to send me off. Dory’s help is more than enough.”
‘Uhm…’
Everyone’s eyes lit up. They still seemed appalled.
‘This cripple is Venom Widow’s brother?’
Frostine took a glance at Dory and frowned. “Isn’t she the maid that used to serve Khloe Yggdrasill? Hmph, the Yggdrasills are known to be selfish, so Khloe is no better. I simply can’t let you go home alone, brother. So come along now!”
Ignoring a still kneeling Anais, Frostine held Bubbles and pushed Alex’s wheelchair as they exited Treasure Trove together.

At the time, Khloe and the head of the Yggdrasill family were starting to get impatient while waiting at Alex’s place.
“No, we can’t just keep waiting here. If that punk did run away, then we’ll lose this rare chance! There aren’t many opportunities in life, so if we miss this, we might miss it for life,” said Shaun.
“Then what should we do, Grandpa?” Khloe asked.
Shawn chuckled coldly. “He’s just a crippled bastard, so how far can he go? Dory probably brought him to the business district for a walk. Call the family and have all the Yggdrasill guards search for him. Once they find him, tell them to bring him back to our manor. Oh, and remember not to leak any of his information.”
In mere moments, the Yggdrasill guards received their orders and went straight into action.
Not long after, the guards managed to stop Alex and the others on their way home.
“Dory, the Master demands you to bring this cripple to meet him at the Yggdrasill manor now!” One of the leaders of the guards yelled as he shot Alex a cold glare.
Frostine, on the other hand, had been completely ignored by these people. Since she was pushing the wheelchair and holding Bubbles simultaneously, they viewed her as a mere servant.
The corners of Dory’s mouth twitched. She glared at Frostine, not saying a word.
The leader was enraged. “Hey b*tch! Are you mute? Go along now, or you’ll be paying with your life!”
Alex calmly stared back at the guard. “Why is your master looking for me?”
“You’ll see when you get there.”
“And what if I don’t want to go?”
“That’s not up to you to decide.”
“Well, aren’t you full of sh*t!” Frostine, who was extremely protective, spoke up.
“You dare to yell at me? You’re just a lowly servant! Kneel before me or die!” The guard was fuming at this rate.
Since it was at night and the area had very few street lights, he couldn’t see Frostine’s face clearly.
“Kneel? Even Shawn Yggdrasill wouldn’t dare talk to me in this way!”
Venom Widow lifted her head and stared back at the guard frostily.

“Ah!”
“Venom Widow?!”
Once the guard recognized Frostine’s face, he started shaking and almost peed his pants.
‘How… How’s this possible? Why is this she-devil here?’
“You! Go to that corner and kill yourself,” Frostine growled to the guard coldly. “I don’t want to kill anyone in front of our family’s child.”
The guard’s heart dropped, his face turning even paler than before. He didn’t want his life to end like this. However, he knew that his entire family would be destroyed if he didn’t listen to the cruel Venom Widow.
He had his parents, wife, and kids too. In the end, he clenched his teeth and actually went to the corner of the street and stabbed himself in the heart. Before taking this last breath, he whispered in a frail and shaky voice, “Fifth Lady, please… Spare my family!”
The other guards trembled with fear, unable to speak. This wasn’t what they had initially been expected.
Alex took a glance at the leader’s corpse in the corner and turned to the others. “Go back and tell your master to meet me here tomorrow. Otherwise, I’ll make him regret.”
“Well? What are you waiting for? Scram!” Frostine scolded.
Immensely relieved, the Yggdrasill guards scurried off like rats.
Frostine seemed glad and lowered her head, causing a pleasant scent to waft into Alex’s nose.
From this angle, she would be able to kiss him if she leaned in closer. She smiled and said, “Now that’s more like the old master! The Yggdrasill family is no match for us anyway. If Master were to be here, he could exterminate that entire family with one attack.”
“My dad was that powerful?” Alex froze.
He only remembered William as an ordinary businessman. After some investigating, he only managed to gather information to prove that William was a grandmaster.
Yet, according to what Frostine just said, his father wasn’t nearly as simple as he thought him to be.
‘How many other things are you hiding from me, old man?’
“Did you not know about this? Magistra too, she’s just as powerful,” Frostine said.
‘What?’
Alex was shocked. “You have a magistra too? Who is she?”
“I’m talking about your mom!” Frostine replied.
‘Yeah, right.’
‘God damn it. My mom’s still in America!’
‘Looks like that old womanizer had another affair out here.’
After this incident, Frostine decided she would stay the night with them.
The Yggdrasill family, on the other hand, was facing the shock of their lives. Shawn and Khloe had initially returned home just to wait for their subordinates to bring Alex back. They weren’t worried one bit. However, in stead of bringing Alex back, they brought their leader’s corpse.
After questioning the team, all of them were aghast.
“Venom Widow?”
“Why would Venom Widow be involved? That cripple actually got on her good side?”
“They even want me to go meet him tomorrow?” Shawn was terrified after hearing what his guards said, but he was even angrier than before.
However, one of the higher-ranking members within the family rushed in, clearly panicked. “Master, I just got some news from Treasure Trove! That cripple who’s with Dory killed the niece of one of the Yggdrasill madames and a guard there, yet he managed to walk out scot free!”
“What? How did that happen?”
“Rumors said that the cripple is Venom Widow’s lover. They apparently even had a child together.”
Upon hearing this, the Yggdrasills were so upset that it felt like they swallowed a dead rat. Khloe, especially, couldn’t accept this at all.
‘How could that useless cripple be in a relationship with Venom Widow?’
“Dad, Venom Widow is known to be cruel and sick in the head. I’m worried that woman might barge into our place and attack us whenever she likes!” Dylan frowned.
“Hmph, but we Yggdrasills aren’t to be messed with too! A mere Venom Widow can’t do much anyway!” Shawn smiled coldly.
“… Unless all three thousand shadow guards came and attacked us. But… Would that even be possible? If the Venom Widow has such a messy private life, it’s kind enough for the old Usoro master to not kick her out. So we don’t have to worry. Besides, the cripple was the one who made this demand.”

After a short pause, Shawn continued, “Looks like it’s going to be quite hard to capture that cripple, though… We have to think of another way.”
Shawn completely ignored Alex’s words. He simply couldn’t bring himself to obey a cripple’s demands, especially with his current status.
If this incident spread to the public, everyone would most definitely laugh at him.
The night went by fairly quickly as Frostine stayed in Alex’s room the whole while. Since the two were quite powerful, staying up a few nights straight wouldn’t be a problem for them.
Alex asked her a truckload of questions, finally understanding some of Frostine’s past.
Before meeting William, her Nine Tails bloodline wasn’t activated yet, nor was she nearly as powerful as she was now. She was actually very frail back then.
When William met her, she was being bullied by some of the rich guys within Starborn City. She was nearly gang raped as well, but it was fortunate that William managed to save her in time. Hence, this was the main reason why she destroyed several families within the city, including her fiancé’s.
That was because her fiance was within the group at the time. It was simply ridiculous that her own fiance teamed up with other men just to humiliate his future wife.
‘That man is no better than those monsters.’
The clock continued ticking as afternoon arrived in the blink of an eye. The head of the Yggdrasill family didn’t show up at all, not even Khloe.
Frostine placed her hand on Alex’s shoulder and squeezed it gently. “Brother, I don’t think Shawn Yggdrasill is coming. Hmph! Such a coward, that old fart.”
“I think he just doesn’t care,” Alex said. “I’ll go to him then.”
“Hmph!” Frostine huffed coldly. “He doesn’t bear that privilege to have you go over and see him personally. Just you wait. I’ll go tie him up and bring him to you!”
Alex stared at her and nodded. “Sorry for the trouble then, sister.”
“Don’t be. We’re family, after all. Wait for me.”
“Hold on!” Alex grabbed her by her soft hand.
She turned around with a smile. “Hmm? Brother, we had already had a sleepover last night. Are you starting to miss me already?”
Dory, who was nearby, couldn’t help but feel shocked, her eyes darting toward time and time again.
Alex chuckled. “I just don’t want you to die. Come a little closer.”
Frostine sat on his lap. “Do I need to be even closer?”
“That’s quite enough!” Alex felt nervous. ‘How is this woman more flirtatious than Waltz?’
Just then, he reached an arm out and pressed Frostine’s stomach.
Frostine froze. Although she had been voluntarily flirting with Alex, him touching her stomach was a rather different case. She felt… Quite smug about it.
She blinked a few times. “Brother, do I need to take off my clothes?”
“Not for now,” Alex replied. He then extracted some of his Chi from his golden core and used it on her stomach.
In that instant, Frostine was surprised. “Brother…” she whispered.
Alex interrupted her. “Focus and stay calm. Your core is damaged, so I’m giving you a hand. You’ll be able to capture those people more easily then.”
Frostine was nervous yet appalled. She had never told anyone that her core was damaged. ‘He could tell just by looking at me? And he can cure it?’
Five minutes later, Frostine tried sensing her core and jumped with joy. She then kissed Alex on the corner of his lips and said, “Brother, watch me stand up for you!”

The Yggdrasills were currently celebrating Shawn’s wife’s birthday.
The family had some status within the city. Moreover, one of their daughters had been accepted as a Plenilune Sect disciple, who was in charge of the area. Hence, with this, the Yggdrasills surpassed their reputation.
In the morning, nobles within the city arrived to give their felicitations. Then, even more people came at noon. Traditionally, celebrations here were normally held during noon, so most guests arrived during this time.
“The head of the Ganji family has arrived, bearing a gift of three million spiritual stones, wishing the old madam wonderful health and longevity!”
“The Crystal Smiths has arrived with a ten thousand year old reishi!”
“The Divine Larcenist clan has arrived with ancient royal apparel!”
As more powerful figures arrived, the atmosphere in the Yggdrasills home was vivacious. The guests that attended this celebration were of higher status than those who attended Shawn’s birthday last year too.
The reason for this, it was rumored that the alchemist that worked for the other pharmacy in Starborn City would be passing soon. Hence, the best alchemists in the city were all within the Yggdrasill family now. If anyone wanted to get their hands on some pills, they’d probably have to ask from this family from then on. However, Madam Mona was an exception. She wouldn’t make pills for just anyone, even if they begged her.
This was exactly why people decided to come here and flatter the Yggdrasill family. They might just be able to get themselves a favor if they needed it.
“Seeing this many guests coming to our party makes me feel so much more relieved!”
“That just means that that alchemist is actually dying soon.”
Shawn and his wife stood between their two sons, smiling brightly throughout the celebration. He had completely forgotten about meeting up with Alex, despite his warning from before.
“Let’s go and talk to the old lords of other families. The servants can welcome the rest of those middle-class families instead.”
Suddenly, the gates to the Yggdrasill manor were kicked down.
Two five-meter tall steel gates flew into the air as if they were enormous birds. They then crashed into one of the walls of the main buildings within the manor, instantly creating two humongous holes.
Two unlucky people even fainted after getting hit by the flying gates.
“Ah!!!”
“What’s happening?”
“Who dares to come and mess with the Yggdrasill family?”
Shocked by the abrupt shift in the atmosphere, everyone looked towards the entrance.
Kavan was infuriated. He slammed his palms onto the table as he stood up abruptly, lunging towards the gates. In just a second, he flew back in with greater speed, falling right on his sister-in-law.
The impact on his sister-in-law’s chest was so powerful that she rolled her eyes back and fell unconscious.
“You insolent bastards! How dare you? Guards, seize them!” Dylan screamed.
Fifty or so guards rushed out immediately, yet they were all puzzled as soon as they reached the entrance.
All of them were stunned in place, none dared to move a muscle.
Dylan was enraged. He was wondering if his power within the family had started to decrease. Otherwise, there was no other reason why the guards wouldn’t listen to him.
“What are you all doing?”
“Why are you just standing there? Are you all logs?”
“Just capture the culprits!”
One of the guards in the back seemed to be petrified. “Master, we can’t!”
“What do you mean you can’t? I’d say that you’re just a good-for-nothing…”
Dylan rushed over but was unable to finish his sentence. ‘Oh f*ck, we actually can’t!’
The entrance was filled with thousands of people in black suits. All of them looked malicious, wearing black apparel and a black mask. They weren’t moving at all, just standing there, looking back at them. The silver guns in their hands were enough to send chills down everyone’s spine.
‘Are those even human?’
‘They look like robots.’
These were the Usoro family’s infamous three thousand Shadow Guards.

Standing in front of the Shadow Guards was a gorgeous and foxy woman. It was the Venom Widow, Frostine Usoro.
‘The Venom Widow actually called for the three thousand Shadow Guards to wreck my family, just for a mere cripple??’
Dylan felt his entire body tense up as his mind went blank. This was just too unreal.
‘Venom Widow is known to be a madwoman, but has Abtal Usoro gone mad too?
After seeing the pitch-black Shadow Guards at the door, everyone in the Yggdrasill manor panicked.
‘Oh my god, this is bad!’
‘By the looks of it, Venom Widow is going to dismantle the Yggdrasill family!’
As the saying went, every man for himself. The guests weren’t fools to just sit there and wait for their demise. Someone immediately jumped up. “Oh uhm, I just remembered that my wife is going into labor! I have to go home now!”
After taking a few steps, he seemed to remember something.
Rushing towards the gift section, he picked up a square shaped box. “Mr. Yggdrasill, I’ll come by and wish your wife some other day… Uhm, I hope I have the chance to do so again.”
He then rushed off without turning back.
As he ran out of the door, he even took a glance at the Shadow Guards nervously. Seeing that they weren’t doing anything yet, he let out a long sigh of relief.
The man then watched as the other guests rushed out of the manor without caring any less. Most of them took back their gifts as well, panicking, as they ran for their lives.
Since the Yggdrasills were about to be destroyed by Venom Widow, it’d be foolish to keep giving them gifts. Money didn’t grow on trees, thus, they figured that it’d be better if they just save the gifts for themselves.
The Yggdrasills were most definitely the ones who were shocked to their cores.
As Khloe walked towards the door, she couldn’t believe that the infamous Shadow Guards was in front of her. She remembered just how weak and useless Alex looked like a cripple, so she just couldn’t view him as Frostine’s lover no matter how she tried.
Even now, she still didn’t think that this man had the status or power to talk to her on the same level.
Last time, when she saved him, she looked at him with utter disgust and disdain. She merely took it as rescuing a stray.
Yet now… She thought that this was just simply ridiculous.
“Miss Usoro, might I ask what you’re here for?” Shawn asked as he stared at Frostine’s chilly expression. He was that close to exploding with anger.
’This is clearly a complete insult to the Yggdrasill family!‘
Frostine chuckled lightly. “Oh, Shawn Yggdrasill, you have quite a bad memory. My little brother is still waiting to have a talk with you. You’ve made him wait for nearly half a day. I’m even getting impatient myself!”
Shawn’s face twitched. “Miss Usoro, look just how busy I am today, so I can’t meet him for now!”
Frostine scoffed coldly, her expression changing immediately.
“Capture them!”
“Understood!”
The Shadow Guards yelled in sync as they barged into the manor.
Boom!
“Mister, who… Who are you, really? Why… Did you suddenly become Miss Usoro’s brother?” Dory stared at Alex as she finally asked about this confusing matter.
Alex was currently bottle feeding his daughter and decided to not answer properly. “I won’t be staying in this city for long, and I don’t plan on buying this house either. I’ll return it to you in a few days. As for who I really am, that’s not all that important. You can just treat me like a tourist.”
Just then, he sensed something.
‘The Lord of the Yggdrasill family is here!’
Shawn’s limbs had been tied up behind his back. Khloe too.
“Brother, I brought them to you!”
Thud, thud!
With the help of the Shadow Guards, Shawn and Khloe were forced to kneel before Alex at the same time. Shawn didn’t say anything, but he had a hateful expression plastered across his face.
Khloe, on the other hand, was so humiliated that her face flushed red. She pointed at Alex and yelled, “Frostine Usoro, I don’t understand! Why would you summon the three thousand Shadow Guards for this cripple? Going against us for a mere nobody? What does he even have to offer? Your taste in men can’t be that bad, can it?”

Frostine slapped Khloe across the face, causing the veil over her face to fly off.
It instantly revealed a… Face full of scars. It was a horrifying sight. Khloe was still very conscious about her scarred face, a permanent thorn within her heart. Hence, she wore a veil that posed as a shield to protect her heart.
Now that her face was exposed, that shield had been destroyed. She screamed in horror and covered her face with both hands, seemingly traumatized.
However, Frostine let out a cold huff. “Khloe Yggdrasill, remember how you’re a cripple before you insult others. Look at your face… It’s astronomically hideous. Even the ugliest person on the Earth would barf when they look at you. Yet you still run about Starborn City without a care in the world. Are you trying to disgust people on purpose?”
Khloe was so mad that she could feel her organs burning from within, so mad she almost vomited a mouthful of blood.
“I just think you’re quite a powerful figure within the city, you know? So there’s no way you’d be into a crippled man! You can find any man you want with what you have to offer. Even the star disciples in Plenilune Sect would be more than enough to pick from!” Khloe tried her best to calm herself down.
It was too insulting that she was being compared to a crippled nobody.
Frostine chuckled. “Star disciples of Plenilune Sect? Have you misunderstood something about my little brother? Those punks don’t even deserve to polish my little brother’s shoes.”
Khloe rolled her eyes, speechless.
Still kneeling on the ground, Shawn was practically fuming as he stared at Alex. “Frostine Usoro, why did you bring us here? What do you want from us? I’d rather die than be insulted like this. So kill me now if you have what it takes!”
Alex spoke up. “I was the one who wanted you here. Didn’t you try to capture me yesterday? That’s why I wanted to see who exactly the head of the Yggdrasill family was. But well, let’s just say I’m a little disappointed!”
Shawn was further triggered. “Disappointed? What are you even disappointed in?”
Alex glanced at his knees a few times. “You’re quite old, yet you have no backbone.”
Shawn continued to glare at Alex as if he wanted to skin him alive.
“What makes you think you can say that?” yelled Khloe. “You’re a useless man wh*’re who just managed to hook up with Frostine Usoro! If you have seine backbone, then stop relying on women and stand up! Fight me fair and square!”
“I’ve completely lost interest in you!” Alex suddenly yanked the blanket off of his knees. Initially, that blanket had covered both of his legs. With this, everyone was able to see that both his legs were fine.
He got off of his wheelchair, still holding onto his daughter. “Sister, I heard that the head of your family used to spend lots to buy a limit-breaking pill, right? The Yggdrasills took one of mine yesterday, and they haven’t paid up. So help me collect this debt! I’m tired and I’d like to rest upstairs.”
Everyone widened their eyes as they watched him walk up the stairs.
Dory rubbed her eyes, thinking that she was hallucinating. ‘Why does he have both legs now?’
‘Where did those legs come from?’

Frostine’s eyes lit up, and she waved to him before turning to Shawn. “We Usoros used to trade half of our wealth for a limit breaking pill. So it wouldn’t be too much if I took half of yours, right?”
“Hey, you! Send Mister and Miss Yggdrasill home!”
“Oh, and remember to collect half their fortune! Remember, just half! We won’t take any more or any less. We aren’t that greedy.”
With his eyes automatically rolling out the back, Shawn felt as if he was going to blackout.
The head of the Usoro family was only willing to trade half his wealth for a limit-breaking pill because he was going to die soon. Hence, he really needed that pill in order to save himself.
Meanwhile, Shawn didn’t need it at all, let alone trade half his wealth for something useless to him.

He jumped up, took a limit-breaking pill out of his storage ring, and handed it to Frostine. “This is the limit-breaking pill. I’m returning it to you people. I don’t want it anymore.”
“Don’t want it?” Frostine chuckled coldly. “You can’t change your mind in the middle of a trade. Besides, you guys have taken the pill for quite some time. Who knows if you switched it out? Sorry, but we’ll be continuing with the trade. Shadow Guards, perform your task.”
“Understood!”
Frostine, on the other hand, didn’t leave but skipped her way upstairs.
“Brother, brother! Come over here and let me take a look at your legs!”
Seeing that Alex was sitting at the side of the bed, Frostine squatted down and lifted both his legs up to her face, checking it thoroughly. She looked genuinely thrilled, as if she found something she lost.
“It’s real. It’s actual legs! This is exceptionally magical! But don’t you have to be at the immortalization stage to regrow limbs?”
Since Alex had the divine eye, he was able to tell if she was actually genuine or not. He felt extremely warm to be able to sense Frostine’s genuineness at such a faraway land.
He smiled. “Doesn’t it stink?”
“Nope, not at all! Your feet smell great!” She even gave one of them a kiss.
‘God, this sister really is something.’
“Oh right, how did you cure my core? Master used to tell me that the damages were unavoidable side effects of cultivation. The more power I gain, the worse it’ll become. He said it’d only be cured if I give up all my power, deactivate my bloodline, and become a normal person.”
“You’re lucky I know some medical skills,” Alex said. “But your condition is quite tricky. I didn’t exactly cure it completely last time too. We can only fix the problems within your blood if we had a Heaven Mending Pill.”
“What’s that?”
“It‘s a type of Divine Fairy Pill!”
After a short while, the Shadow Guards returned.
The leader brought a storage ring back, with half of the Yggdrasill’s wealth inside. Not only did it have various spiritual stones and tools, but it also contained half of the ownership agreements of their business properties and lands.
“This is for you!” Frostine just threw it towards Alex.
At the same time, the head of the Yggdrasill family exploded with rage. Not only did he kill two of his servants, he even demolished the main building he lived in.
He yelled as he held his sword, “I swear I’ll take revenge if it’s the last thing I do!”
Kavan slapped Khloe right across her face and scolded, “This is all your fault! If you didn’t pick up that trash that day, our family wouldn’t have ended up like this!”
Khloe held onto her face, not saying a word. However, her eyes were cold, filled with sinister thoughts.
“What do we do now? The Shadow Guards are just too strong. Our family can’t possibly beat them!”
Just then, Shawn huffed coldly. “We can ask for help.”
“From who?” Khloe asked.
“Plenilune Sect.”
“Sure, Hermione is part of Plenilune Sect, but I don’t think they’d stand up for us just because she’s one of their disciples, right?” Dylan said. Hermione Yggdrasill was his daughter anyway.
Shawn took out the pill that he traded half his wealth for. “We can, with this! Dylan, you have to take a trip down to visit the Plenilune Sect…”
The Pinnacle of Life Chapter 2100
Dylan finally reached the entrance to Plenilune Sect. Taking a look at the tremendously tall mountain gates, he couldn’t help but exclaim in awe. Back in his day, he wanted to join and train the sect to be one of their disciples.
It was a pity that he didn’t have the talent for it. However, his daughter had achieved his dream in his stead. Hermione was now one of the star disciples within the sect. Moreover, they heard that her master was one of the sect’s powerful elders. At this rate, her future was as bright as the sun.
Dylan was then stopped at the gates.
“Ah, hello, I’m here to look for one of your sect’s star disciples, Hermione Yggdrasill. I’m her father.” Dylan said as he handed them two bottles of pills with a grin.
Although it wasn’t some rare spiritual demon pill, this was still quite the reward for ordinary disciples within the sect.
However, just as they reached for the bottles, they stopped abruptly as soon as they heard the man refer to himself as Hermione’s father.
Initially, they behaved haughtily in front of him. Now, they had quickly instantly switched expression and started flattering him instead.
“Oh! You’re Sister Hermione’s father!”
“She just came back from training. I’ll go call for her right now.”
Dylan was slightly confused and surprised, but he seemed to have realized something from the two disciples’ expressions. With this, his expression was filled with pride.
The other disciple immediately brought him a bamboo chair so he could rest while he waited. He even went as far as to make Dylan some fair tea and handing it to him with a smile.
After some small talk, Dylan found out that his daughter had been following her sect to train and somehow received the legacy of a deity, thus learning a rare set of martial arts. She was now the favorite member within the sect. Even the president had personally asked about her. Moreover, they almost made Hermione one of their heirs.
Upon hearing this, Dylan couldn’t help but grin widely.
“Oh, my good daughter, you have such great potential!”
In just a few moments, the disciple that went in came back, welcoming Dylan into their sect.

Ten or so minutes later, Dylan didn’t manage to see his daughter but her master instead.
This was the fifth elder of the Plenilune Sect, a three hundred year old man. He was also one of the elders that were in charge of Hermione.
“… Ah, you came at a bad time. Since Hermione received the legacy, she has locked herself up for further training. It’s a very crucial time for her now, so if she improves, she might become the leader of the our sect’s new generation.”
Dylan smiled brighter than he ever did after hearing the elder’s words.
‘If my daughter gets to be the new generation’s leader, we Yggdrasills would have nothing fear! We could even rule the city!’
‘We could destroy the Usoro family with the snap of our finger!’
“So what brings you here? Why are you looking for Hermione?” Elder Quint asked.
Initially, Dylan wanted to mention that Alex possessed a rare treasure to attract the Plenilune Sect to take action to help them out. However, now that his daughter had received the legacy of a deity and the president showing interest towards her, he had another idea in mind.
“Well, here’s the thing!”
“We Yggdrasills have been bullied by the Usoros in Starborn City for no apparent reason! They also took half of our wealth! Ah, my poor father was even forced to kneel before them. My little Hermione is very close to my father too. I can’t fathom just how angry she’d get if she finds out about this.”
“How dare they!” Elder Quint was so angry that he smashed a large rock.
“Hermione can’t come out while training, so I’ll help her resolve this family issue instead!”
“Come on now, let’s head to Starborn City!”

Back in Starborn City, Frostine brought Alex back to her place because Abtal wanted to see him.
As they reached the manor, Alex was shocked.
He felt as if he had become a superstar, who had just come out of an airport, being welcomed by millions of people as he walked down a red carpet.
