The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2201

“You’ve always been very vigilant, but when all hell breaks loose, it’s only natural for you not to notice the change in the number of people. Would you care when your gun was replaced by another gun?”

The appearance of the police had already ruined his plan. He would never find out that Jake had taken the opportunity to switch his gun out for another one because his attention was not on himself throughout the whole time.

Donald laughed. “Nollace Knowles, you’re indeed extremely ruthless. You clearly knew that he was in the same car as us, but you still tried to knock us over to stop us. Weren’t you afraid that he would die too?”

Nollace’s expression looked indifferent. “I didn’t intend to kill you, but if I hadn’t done something to force you into stopping the car, he still wouldn’t make it out alive once your men found out that something smelled fishy with him.”

Jake would only be safe when chaos and danger hit.

If Jake had not improvised and driven the car directly toward the police, Chunky would probably have killed him by sinking a bullet from the front passenger seat into his head. He might not even live long enough for him to drive the car to the end of the alley.

And Nollace’s sudden appearance blocked their way forward and led to the accident, which caused Jake to fall unconscious. So, after all that happened, who would doubt him at the end of the day?

The sirens became louder and louder as the police cars approached the location, and soon, several cars appeared at the intersection and pulled over on the sides of the road.

More than a dozen policemen in raincoats approached the scene with their guns until they found that Donald had lost the ability to fight back and arrested him on the ground.

Donald was pressed against the ground, and his hands were handcuffed. When he was about to be taken away by the police, he turned around and glared at Nollace. “It’s the shame of my life to lose to you bags of tricks. You won.”

Donald was brought into a bulletproof vehicle.

Waylon opened an umbrella and got out of his car.

Nollace was exhausted, and the moment he relaxed, he could barely stay upright, so Jake supported him immediately.

Waylon placed the umbrella over his head and followed Jake as he helped him to the car.

He got into the car, and Waylon brought him a clean towel. “Are you injured? Do you need me to summon one of the medical staff here?”

He took the towel from him, wiped himself, and smiled. “I promised Daisie not to get hurt again, and I’ve not broken my promise this time around.”

The rain stopped soon.

The originally gloomy sky seemed to have been baptized as it became gradually clearer.

1/2

When Waylon brought Nollace back to Southerns, Sunny and Mahina were relieved to see that he had come back in one piece. Daisie‘s eyes were bloodshot. She dashed straight toward him and threw herself into his arms. Nollace almost fell back due to the sudden momentum and had to take two steps backward to neutralize it. He was soaked all over, so he did not dare to hug her. “Daisie, my clothes are still wet.” Daisie started checking his body for injuries. “Let‘s see if you‘re injured first.” Nollace grabbed her hand and smiled. “No, I‘m fine.”

“For real?”

“Of course.” He held the back of her hand. “I didn‘t lie to you this time.” Daisie pushed him into the manor. “Okay, now go take a shower and change into some proper clothes, or you‘ll catch a cold.”

Waylon shook his head and let off a helpless smile.

At this time, Sunny came over and asked, “Has Donald been arrested?”

Waylon nodded. “By the time we arrived at the scene, Donald was already so weak and fatigued that he had no strength to resist.” Sunny saw Jake and placed his hand on his shoulder. “It‘s not easy for you and Nollace to take such a huge risk and still get out in one piece.” Jake replied with a smile, “Mr. Knowles knew that even if Donald were to arrive at the pier, he‘d never surrender without putting up a fight. That‘s why he came up with such a plan.” Nollace knew Donald very well. When he was in Fabio‘s place, he actually sacrificed his men so that he could escape.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2202 Even though Jake had been lurking right next to him as a mole, even if he had managed to send Donald to the dock, who could guarantee that Donald, being the vigilant man that he had always been, would keep him alive?

Thus, only a sudden change in plan would divert his attention at that time and in that situation. Donald hated Nollace with all his heart, so how could he resist the urge to kill him when he was standing right in front of him?

Nollace took a hot bath, put on a set of clean clothes, and walked out of the bathroom. He then dried his hair with a towel and turned to see Daisie placing a mug of ginger and lemon tea on the table.

He placed the towel on the table, walked toward her, reached out, and hugged her from behind

Daisie turned to look at him. “What‘s wrong?”

Nollace buried his face in her shoulder and neck, sniffed the shampoo scent in her hair, and smiled, “I‘m just happy.” Daisie pushed him away with her elbows and picked up the mug. “Stop the sweet–talking and drink this now. I boiled and prepared this myself.”

Nollace grabbed the mug from her and drank all the ginger and lemon tea in one go, and not a drop of liquid was left in the mug at the end. “Will this do it?”

“Now that you‘ve finished drinking the tea get some good rest. You must be very tired after all that.” She grabbed the mug off the table and was about to leave the room.

However, Nollace pulled her back into his arms, put the mug down, picked her up horizontally, and then carried her into the bedroom. In the next moment, she was already lying on the mattress, and his entire weight was already crushing onto her.

Daisie‘s cheeks were flushed, and she propped her hands against his chest. “How are you still messing around? It‘s not good to be seen here...”

He buried himself in her neck and chuckled, and his warm breath brushed the side of her neck. “I‘m not messing around. I‘m a little sleepy and want to sleep with you in my arms.”

“Then don‘t kiss...” She turned her face away as she felt very itchy. But all of a sudden, her cheeks turned even redder, and she hissed. “Nollace, you lied! You—” Nollace kissed her on the lips and stopped after a short few seconds.

Perhaps he was way too exhausted, so he fell asleep on top of her almost instantly and continued sleeping very soundly. Daisie did not want to wake him up, so all she did was turn his body over, but when he fell to the side, he was still holding her in his arms.

She stared at Nollace‘s face and looked closely at him. He did not seem to have had a single good rest recently, and there were dark circles under his eyelids. It was her first time seeing him in such a condition.

Daisie brushed her finger over his eyebrow and the bridge of his nose with a grin on her face.

“Thank God, he’s come back safely.‘

In the hospital…

Cameron went to the vending machine in the lobby on the first floor, bought herself a bottle of Coke, took the can out, opened it, and drank from it. She then turned around, only to see Waylon stepping into the hospital.

She stopped him.

Waylon stopped, turned his head, and saw Cameron walking over with a can of Coke. “How did things go? Have you caught Donald?”

He narrowed his eyes and looked at her.

Cameron was in a loose hospital gown and seemed to have just woken up. Her cheeks were still flushed from her nap, and her long hair that was scattered behind her looked a little messy because she had not been washing it.

She approached him. “Hey, I asked you a question.”

Wayne took a glance at the Coke in her hand. “Have you eaten anything?”

She was startled. “No…”

Waylon took her Coke away, grabbed her hand, and took her out. When they arrived at the car, Cameron asked subconsciously, “Where are you taking me?”

He opened the car door. “We’re going out to eat.”

She pointed at her hospital gown. “Are you asking me to eat out with you in this?”

Waylon held the car door, turned to look at her, and raised his eyebrows. “Is your appearance something that you’ll worry about?”

Cameron choked on her own words. “That’s not something that should come out of a gentleman’s mouth. Since when do I not mind how I look on the outside?”

Waylon smiled. “But I don’t mind how you look.”

The moment Cameron met his gaze, she shifted her head away immediately. “Okay, let’s go then. It’s just a meal.”

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2203 Cameron got into the front passenger seat. While driving, Cameron leaned against the car window and propped her hand against the side of her forehead. “You haven‘t answered my question.” Waylon held onto the steering wheel and pulled over to the side of the road. “It‘s all over now.”

She paused for a split second and turned to look at him. “So, has Donald been arrested?” He responded with a hum and backed the car into a parking space. Cameron lowered her gaze. ‘Donald‘s arrest means that everything‘s over now, and it‘s time for them to go back to Zlokova.‘

The front passenger‘s door was opened at some point, and he was already standing outside the door. “It‘s time to get yourself out of the car.”

Cameron undid her seat belt and got out of the car with her can of Coke. But he immediately confiscated it from her before she could take another sip. “You should eat first.”

“This is none of your business.”

She reached for it, but Waylon threw the can into the trash can on the side of the road almost instantly, and the trajectory was very precise.

Cameron was about to get angry when Waylon raised his hand and rubbed the top of her head. “I‘ll buy another can for you after the

meal.”

She was stunned. She then glared at Waylon‘s back as he stepped into the restaurant and scoffed angrily. “Does he really think that I‘m his sister?”

Cameron followed Waylon into the restaurant, and sure enough, she became very noticeable since she came out for a meal in a hospital gown.

Waylon slowed down and waited for her to catch up, and the two stepped into the elevator together.

Seeing that some other guests poured into the elevator, Cameron crossed her arms, and the impatience exuded from her face was obvious.

At this time, someone within the crowd pushed her backward, and she bumped into Waylon‘s arms because she did not have a firm foothold and lost balance.

Waylon stopped her from falling, held her in his arms, and protected her.

Cameron did not dare to look back.

‘What if he suspects that I‘ve bumped into him on purpose?‘

When they were in the elevator, two junior high–school students stared at the two of them for a long time, then suddenly approached Waylon and asked him in a soft voice, “Sir, is your girlfriend sick?”

No matter how soft they tried to be, Cameron could hear it very clearly.

She turned her head and was about to say something when her mouth was suddenly covered.

Waylon pressed her head in his arms, smiled at the two young teenagers, pointed to Cameron‘s head, and made a hush gesture.

The two girls understood him almost immediately. They then stared at Cameron, and a hint of sympathy flashed across their eyes and expression. “This lady turns out to be mentally disabled. That‘s so sad. But how lucky she is to be able to encounter a boyfriend who doesn‘t look down upon her and looks so good at the same time...’

When everyone got out of the elevator, Cameron pushed him away instantly. “Why did you cover my mouth just now?” He gave off a hoarse chuckle and stopped at the elevator‘s entrance. “Didn‘t you want to protect your image? I was only worried that you‘d be recognized.” She was stunned and realized that she could not refute his explanation. After walking the private room, Waylon summoned the waitress and started ordering dishes that were light and bland. Cameron frowned. “I want some spicy food.” Waylon ignored her and closed the menu. “What I just ordered will be great.” The waitress smiled. “Okay.” Cameron stopped the waitress. “Wait, what about the food that I ordered?”

The waitress looked at Waylon in embarrassment, and Waylon loosened his cuffs. “You haven‘t been discharged from the hospital, so no spicy food for you.” “It‘s not that I‘m injured and need to avoid certain foods...” “That‘s still a no in my book.” He rested his arm across the back of her chair and leaned closer to her. “I‘ll let you decide our food for the night if you‘re paying for it.”

Cameron scoffed. “Do you think that I have no money on me now? Fine, I‘ll pay for—”

As soon as she took her cell phone out, Waylon grabbed it away and inserted it into his pocket.

Cameron was rendered speechless for a moment.

The waitress chuckled softly. “Miss, your boyfriend is only doing so for your health, so maybe you could just listen to him?”

She then went out and closed the door.

Cameron did not even have the time to explain a word from beginning to end.

She sat back and crossed her arms. “Who would‘ve thought that I‘d have to get bullied when I agreed to come out to eat?” Waylon smiled and moved half an inch closer. “I‘m about to leave the East Islands already, so shouldn‘t you compromise just this once for me?”

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2204 Cameron did not utter a single word.

Waylon curled her hair with his finger, fiddled with them, and said casually, “After all, maybe we won‘t see each other ever again in the future.”

“All things come to an end.” Cameron turned to look at him.” That‘s life.”

He lifted his gaze and stared at her.

His gaze seemed to be fixed on her, and it felt aggressive. Her cheeks warmed up just by being stared at, and she looked away.” It‘s useless for you to look at me with those eyes...”

She immediately added, “I won‘t pay you back for this meal.”

A hint of hilarity flashed across his eyes. “I don‘t need you to pay me back.”

She grabbed the water glass on the table. “I didn‘t plan to pay for it either.”

Waylon smiled and said nothing.

After eating, Waylon took her back to the hospital and parked the car near a convenience store. After a few minutes, he returned to the car and handed her a can of Coke.

Cameron wanted to grab it from him, but he retracted his hand abruptly.

Cameron missed the can and glared at him. “Are you trying to make a fool out of me?”

Waylon opened the can and handed it to her.

She hesitated for half a second before snatching it from him

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2704

hurriedly, fearing that he would not give it to her. She took a sip and looked out the window. “If it weren‘t for the sake of the fact that you‘re leaving soon, I would have surely kicked your *ss by

now.”

He could not help but laugh. “Why would you say so? Do you want a rematch after getting discharged from the hospital?” She responded almost immediately, “Okay, I don‘t accept the outcome of our previous match. I‘ll definitely not go easy on you this time around.”

Waylon stared at her. “What would you do if you were to lose?” “I won‘t lose, never.”

“Let‘s just say if you were to lose.”

Cameron gave it a good few seconds‘ worths of thought and said, ” If I were to lose, I‘d agree to a condition of yours.”

He approached her, and his fingertips inadvertently touched the back of her hand. “Will any condition do?”

She thought for another few more seconds. “Just don‘t go too far.”

1

Upon seeing her solemn expression, her “too far” scale might not be the same as his. Thus, Waylon nodded in agreement. “Okay then.”

Two days later...

Cameron was discharged from the hospital.

Sunny specially ordered someone to cook up a storm and prepare a sumptuous banquet to welcome her home— he even set up a few tables in the courtyard. Besides Daisie and Nollace, Quincy and Saydie, even Damian, Mateo, and the others were there.

Probably because everyone was gathered together, the Southern manor looked and felt extremely lively.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2204

After the food was served, Nollace started peeling shrimp for Daisie while Quincy fetched Saydie all sorts of side dishes throughout the whole meal. Cameron picked up the mashed potatoes on her plate with a spoon and watched as the couples acted affectionately.

‘I’ve gotten full just by watching these people eat.‘

Sunny cleared his throat and asked Waylon, “When are you going back?”

Waylon answered with a smile, “We‘ll depart in two days.”

He sighed, “It‘s been almost half a year since you people first arrived on this island. Now that it‘s time for you to leave, I can‘t help but feel a little heavy–hearted.”

Daisie lifted her head. “Same here, but we’ll come back to visit you in the future.”

Sunny laughed out loud. “I‘ll take that as a promise and look forward to your next visit.”

After saying that, he leaned into Daisie‘s ear. “Don‘t forget our

bet.”

Daisie was astonished for a moment, took a glimpse at Waylon and Cameron, and whispered to him, “Is it still on?”

Sunny lowered his voice. “Of course, I still believe that Cam has the charm to win me the bet.”

Cameron squinted slightly.

‘Those two people are whispering to each other. Something smells fishy there.‘

As she was staring at the two exchanging words, she fumbled for her teacup that was on the dining table.

At that moment, Waylon saw her actions. After noticing her

movements, he moved his teacup closer to her with his little finger.

Soon, she touched a teacup, picked it up, and drank from it.

It was not until she finished drinking the cup of tea that she felt that something did not feel right. She then realized that her teacup was still on the table when she wanted to put down the teacup in her hand!

‘If the cup on the table is mine, then...

She turned her head slowly and realized that Waylon was staring at her, and his eyebrows were slightly raised. His thin lips then moved as if he was telling her something.

“The teacup in your hand is mine.’

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2205 Cameron‘s expression froze. She felt extremely embarrassed as she stared at the cup of tea in her hand.

‘Did I just use someone else‘s cups and drink someone else‘s tea?‘

Fortunately, no one was looking at her, so she restrained her expression, placed the teacup back on the table, pushed it back to Waylon, and said in a low voice, “Anyway, I‘m not the one who‘s suffered a loss from this.”

He rubbed the mouth of the teacup, lowered his gaze, and smirked. “People who‘ve taken advantage of somebody else always love to say that.”

She replied casually, “Yes, you‘re right about that.”

Waylon then slowly poured some tea into the cup, picked it up, and placed the cup against his lips. Cameron was stunned for a split second and could not stay calm while that was happening. He drank the tea slowly, and his lips now covered the rim of the cup that still had her lipstick mark. The way he swallowed the tea and wiped the corners of his lips with his thumb was somehow very seductive to her at the moment.

It seemed intentional but also serious at the same time.

Cameron‘s gaze swept across his face and mainly his lips subconsciously. She then looked away almost immediately, and her cheeks suddenly turned inexplicably warm. ‘I wasn‘t paying attention and was careless. But he clearly knows that I‘ve drunk from that cup!‘

Cameron placed her tableware down and stood up. Everyone at the table stared at her.

“I‘ve finished eating.” She lowered her head and left the table immediately.

Sunny was puzzled and looked at Waylon. “What‘s wrong with her?”

Waylon rubbed the edge of the cup with his fingertips and smiled.” Perhaps she‘s truly full.”

Cameron went upstairs and straight into her room. She then closed the door, leaned behind it, and covered her scorching cheeks with her palm. “He must have done it on purpose, right?”

The banquet downstairs did not end until noon. Sunny had one too many throughout the meal because Damian and his men had been proposing a lot of toasts. He was really dizzy, and the butler sent him back to his room to rest.

Daisie was about to say that she wanted to go upstairs to see Cameron, but Nollace embraced her by the shoulders. “You don‘t seem to be the appropriate candidate for this task.”

She was startled for a short moment. Seeing that Nollace seemed to know something, she narrowed her eyes. “Did you hear everything?” ‘When I was whispering to Sunny, he was sitting right next to me, so he most probably heard what we were talking about.

Nollace chuckled. “I didn‘t hear it. I saw it.”

She wondered. “What did you see?”

Nollace smiled and said nothing.

At this time, Waylon and Quincy stood in the courtyard. Quincy said that after the detainee who repatriated Donald arrived in Yaramoor, Donald was sent to Vermont Bane Prison by Interpol.

He would be imprisoned there for life without parole.

Vermont Bane Prison was located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The entire prison was built by an aircraft carrier, one of the world‘s strictest facilities.

The main body of the wall was made of extremely durable metal, and there were more than 1,000 cameras installed in it. All its prisoners were basically under 24/7 surveillance.

What was more, it was located in the center of a vast ocean, so even if Donald had the ability to break himself free from the prison again, escaping would undoubtedly be equivalent to signing his own death certificate.

Waylon looked up at the sky and stared off into the distance. “The cost of losing one‘s freedom for life is rather high, huh?”

“A person like Donald who‘s unwilling to stay mediocre his whole life and is driven by power, I think making him lose his freedom is way crueler than killing him directly.” Quincy sighed and thought of something. “Now that everything‘s over, when will you and Ms. Daisie return to Bassburgh?” Waylon narrowed his eyes and did not utter a single word.

Quincy followed his gaze and saw the curtain behind one of the window sills upstairs sway slightly.

‘If I‘m not mistaken, that should be Ms. Southern‘s room, shouldn‘t it?

At Bassburgh, in the Goldmann mansion...

Nolan sat in his study, going through some magazines. He wore a pair of metal–framned glasses that were gold in color, and his well built body fit his dark shirt perfectly.

The cell phone that was placed on the desktop received a text message at this time. He stopped flipping through the magazines,

took a glance at the screen, picked up the cell phone, and checked the content of the message.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2206 Maisie picked up the fruits and walked over. “What are you looking at?”

Nolan looked up and put down his phone. “What happened at the East Islands has finally come to an end.”

Maisie placed the plate down on the desk and smiled. “I guess the children are all safe now.” She picked up a slice of orange and handed it to him.

Nolan closed his magazine, ate the orange slice, and then pulled her into his arms. “The orange is sweeter when you give it to me.”

Maisie picked up a cherry. “If our sons were as good at sweet talking as you, I‘d be a lot less worried.” Nolan smiled. “They‘re going through a phase, and that‘s normal. Colton and Daisie grew up around us and weren‘t alone outside like Waylon, who‘s more mature. Colton isn‘t very good at expressing himself and is too straightforward. You know that.” Maisie rubbed her temples. “That‘s why I‘m worried.” She shouldn‘t get too involved in her children‘s relationships because they should be able to decide for themselves without too much interference from outsiders. The interference would only make things more complicated.

Nolan hugged her. “Alright, when Waylon comes back, let them communicate.”

Maisie nodded. “I guess that‘s the only way.”

“By the way, Waylon got a new identity after going to the East Islands.”

Maisie was surprised. “What is it?”

Nolan chuckled. “Son–in–law of the Southerns.”

At the East Islands, at 9:00 a.m....

Cameron changed into men‘s clothing and walked toward the martial arts center, which was empty because it was early.

She walked up the stage, and Waylon stood there under the light in a white shirt, looking dapper. Even his face looked clearer.

She walked up the stage and looked around. “Why did you pick this time?”

He held his sleeve. “It wouldn‘t be less humiliating after a loss.”

“You care about feeling ashamed?”

He chuckled. “You do.” Cameron crossed her arms. “I won‘t lose.” “Really?” Waylon raised his brows. “I‘ll give it my all then.” Cameron moved her wrist around and squinted. “You said that. Don‘t blame me if I hurt you.”

He smiled. “I won‘t.”

Cameron attacked, but Waylon didn‘t fight back and was in defensive mode. If someone wouldn‘t fight during a sparring session, it would be a ‘challenge‘ and would trigger the opponent to want to win more.

Cameron swept at his legs, but he jumped backward. She threw a punch, and he blocked it with his arm. Cameron‘s punches and kicks were quick and powerful, not giving him time to breathe. When Waylon grabbed onto her shoulder, she turned it around, grabbed his arm, and pulled.

When Waylon fell, he supported himself with his palm and bounced right back to avoid her kicks.

Nolan chuckled. “Son–in–law of the Southerns.”

Her punches and kicks looked random but were very powerful. Waylon, who was defending, couldn‘t find a weak spot.

Cameron was contemptuous. “I won‘t give you another chance to take advantage after the previous spar.”

Waylon smiled. “Don‘t be too sure yet.”

“You‘re going to lose!” Cameron broke through his defenses and landed a hard kick on Waylon. He took two steps back, but behind him was a three–foot fall.

He caught his balance, but Cameron‘s fist was going to hit him. It was too late for her to pull it back, so he suddenly fell backward and grabbed Cameron by the wrist.

Cameron didn‘t realize that they were at the edge, lost her balance, and fell with him.

She closed her eyes, ready to feel the pain from the impact of the floor.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2207 Unexpectedly, there wasn‘t any pain. Cameron opened her eyes and realized that she was lying on top of Waylon. A sponge mat was under them, seemingly placed there in case things went wrong. Cameron slowly snapped back. “You...”

Waylon suddenly flipped over, held her under him, and then looked down at her. “Fell off the ring. You lost.”

She paused for a long moment. “You did that intentionally?” He smiled and didn‘t speak.

Cameron pushed him away and sat up. “You didn‘t win either.”

Waylon chuckled. “I didn‘t say I had to win. I just bet that you would lose.”

Cameron was rendered speechless because she felt like she had been tricked. She punched Waylon on the shoulder, which made him fall back onto the mat as if he was really hurt.

Cameron realized she had used too much force, so she quickly checked on him. “Hey, are you alright?”

He didn‘t speak.

Cameron was worried, so she put out her hand to check his shoulder. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms, which made Cameron fall in because she wasn‘t expecting it.

Staring at this face that was inches away, she stopped breathing and pressed her lips together. Waylon‘s breath wrapped around her, and his lips were so close they almost kissed. “Are you worried about me?”

Cameron‘s palms that were pushed against his chest were sweating while her heart thumped as though it would stop any minute.

Her lips became dry, and she gulped. An ambiguous relationship felt even more intense than a straightforward one. Waylon suddenly held her up and broke the ambiguity. He was very good at controlling the emotional distance. “You owe me a condition.”

She was confused. “What condition?”

Waylon stood up. “I haven’t figured that out yet. It‘s getting late, so get some rest.”

He stretched out his hand toward her.

Cameron pushed it aside and got up by herself. “Sinister, cunning.”

She angrily left after saying those words. Waylon chuckled.

The next day, at 8:00 a.m....

Cameron walked downstairs with bags under her eyes. It was obvious that she hadn‘t slept well the night before.

She saw that Daisie and the others were already done with breakfast. Waylon wasn‘t there, so she heaved a sigh of relief, pulled out a chair, and took a slice of toast. Daisie looked at her. “Didn‘t sleep well, Cameron?” She nodded. “I was binge–watching a show.” “You watch shows?” Sunny looked at her suspiciously. “What‘s the point of it?” If she had watched them, she would have been enlightened.

Cameron picked up the glass of milk and didn‘t answer.

Sunny looked toward Daisie. “You‘re going back to Bassburgh tomorrow?”

Cameron froze and didn‘t speak.

Daisie nodded. “Tickets for tomorrow afternoon.”

Sunny glared at Cameron and said, “Cam has never been to Bassburgh before. It would be nice for her to see the world.”

Daisie smiled. “I‘ll welcome her with open arms.”

Cameron put down her glass. “I‘m not going.”

Sunny was surprised because he thought that she would think about it, but she immediately shut down the idea. He clicked his tongue. “I just want you to go and unwind, have some fun, and make some new friends. I‘m not pushing you away. Why don‘t you even think about it?” Cameron looked toward him. “I can‘t relax if you‘re home alone.” Sunny fell quiet because he didn‘t realize that she was just worried about him.

Cameron had always been by his side. Even if she left, it would be for business meetings. She would mostly stay on the island, not because she wasn‘t interested in the outside world, but because she was worried about him.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2208 Sunny calmly said, “Now that everything has ended, I‘ll be safe. You don‘t need to worry. Mahina, the butler, and Damian will be here. I‘ll be more carefree when you‘re not around.”

Daisie placed down her cutlery and got up. “Sir, Cameron, I‘m done. I‘m going to check on them.”

She left the space for the father and daughter.

After Daisie left, Sunny asked Cameron somberly. “What do you think about Willie?”

She looked around. “What do you mean?”

“Do you think I can‘t tell? Something is going on between you two, and he has feelings for you.” He was very serious.

Cameron was shocked. “That‘s nonsense.”

‘Wayne has feelings for me?‘

“Only you know whether that‘s nonsense or not.” Sunny picked up the napkin and dabbed the corner of his lips. “Think about how you feel when you‘re around him, then about how you feel when you hang out with the other members.”

After that, Sunny picked up his cane and went upstairs.

Cameron froze on the spot, her mind in a mess.

Did Waylon really have feelings for her?

After breakfast, Cameron went to water the plants in the garden and was not paying attention. Someone stood in the corridor, observed her for a while, then slowly approached. “Are you trying to drown the flowers?”

Hearing that voice, she paused but didn‘t look back. “They‘ll grow back.”

Waylon looked down. “I‘m going back to Bassburgh tomorrow.” Cameron turned off the valve and turned to face him.

The way she felt when she was with him was definitely different from what she felt when she hung out with the other guys. It was maybe because they had been treating her like a man, so Waylon stood out.

Waylon squinted. “What‘s wrong?”

Cameron suddenly walked toward him and stopped an inch away before she slowly approached him.

Waylon didn‘t move away and kept his eyes on her.

Cameron placed her hand on his chest, which surprised him. “Your heartbeat feels normal.”

If he had feelings for her, why did his heartbeat stay normal when she approached im?

Waylon raised his brows and suddenly leaned close to her, his breath blowing on her forehead. “What are you testing?”

She took a few steps back in surprise.

Why did her heart beat faster? Did she have feelings for him? Had she fallen for him?

She asked curiously. “Doesn‘t your heart beat faster when a girl gets close to you?” Was she the only one who had symptoms like that? Was her father just messing with her, and Waylon didn‘t actually have feelings for her? Waylon lightly chuckled. “Are you talking about your own reaction?”

Cameron immediately denied it. “No.”

Waylon slowly walked closer to her. “If you really want to test it out, I have a way to do it.”

Before Cameron could react, she was already in his arms.

She pressed her palms on his chest. His heart was beating and felt hot on her palm. He lowered his head, planted his lips on her forehead, then touched her hair and said in a low voice, “Can you feel it?”

Cameron licked her dry lips and didn‘t know what to say. Her palm, which was still pressed against his chest, felt as though it was stuck there, and she couldn‘t pull it away.

Waylon‘s breath was all over her brows and nose while his eyes glazed over her lips. Cameron batted her lashes. When they almost touched, she was startled by a flas, that came from upstairs and pushed him away.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2209 Sunny, who captured the moment, ducked behind a wall. Cameron‘s face turned red. She felt extremely awkward and ran back into the house.

Waylon held his palm to his cheeks because he had lost his cool...

Cameron ran into the study and opened the door.

Sunny was sitting behind the desk and reading his newspaper, pretending nothing had happened. She walked over and held out her hand. “Give me your phone.” He looked up and smirked. “Why? Is that how you speak to your father? You‘re going to check my phone? No way.” Cameron crossed her arms. “You‘re not going to delete it?”

Sunny turned way and mumbled, “No, I finally got a picture of my son–in–law. I would have no dignity if I just deleted it just because you said so.‘

She choked. “Son-in-law...”

Sunny smirked and folded the newspaper. “I‘ve accepted him, so you‘re not going to reject him.” After that, he continued. “He‘s such a great guy. Even Minzy could see that, but you‘re still oblivious. If I didn‘t insist, he would have left. You‘re pretty smart about most things but not about your own feelings. I‘d be damned if I didn‘t remind you about it.”

Cameron was at a loss for words.

It felt as if Sunny had been planning this all along, and she just found out toward the end.

Cameron said stubbornly, “You just can‘t use that picture. I need my dignity.” “You care about dignity?” Sunny looked at her with a serious face. “Why were you not ashamed when you asked for a cheque from him?”

Cameron was stunned. “How did you know about that?”

“It doesn‘t matter how I found out. You have to repay the money even if it means you have to work in Bassburgh. We don‘t owe.”

A few million dollars wouldn‘t mean a lot to him, but he was just scaring her. She did owe it.

He just had to find a way to get her to Bassbough no matter what. Cameron turned away. “I have a few millions.”

“The money in your account belongs to me too.”

Cameron scoffed. “If you have to push it, all I have left is my life.”

“I can help you pay it if you want me to.”

Sunny smiled. “Get close to him and give me a chubby grandchild in a year, and I‘ll clear the debt for you.”

“You can do that yourself!”

Cameron‘s face was red with anger when she stormed out.

Sunny smirked because she was no match for him.

He picked up his phone, opened the photo, and sent it to Damian to show off. Damian was annoyed and blocked him.

In the afternoon, Daisie and Nollace returned from shopping and saw Sunny playing with his lizard in the garden, seemingly in a good mood.

She walked over and handed the box of tea to him. “I know you love tea, so I got this for you.”

Sunny took the box and was surprised. “Oh, there‘s no need to spend money.” Daisie smiled. “We‘re going back tomorrow, and I didn‘t know what to get you. Please keep it. It‘s just a small gift.” “Alright, since we‘ll be a family soon, I‘m going to just accept it.” Daisie raised her brows. “You‘re so confident about that?”

Sunny waved his hand. “I‘ve been there before, I‘m sure of it. I‘m going to win this bet.”

After saying that, he quietly showed her the picture on the phone.

Daisie was shocked. ‘They‘ve progressed so much? How could I not know about it?

‘But more importantly, is Waylon someone who would take the initiative!?

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2210

That was unbelievable.

Daisie scratched her cheek. “What are your terms?‘

Sunny said, “Nothing much. All I want is for Cam to find a man who matches her. I think your brother is a good man, and I hope that I’m not wrong about it.”

Daisie suddenly felt guilty. “But it doesn’t look like Cameron wants to go to Bassburgh. I don’t know if it’s a good idea to insist that she goes.”

Even though Sunny did this for her happiness, it felt as though forcing her to go to Bassburgh for her brother wasn’t the right way to do it.

Sunny smiled. “No one can make her do something if she doesn’t want to. I have no idea how, but what if she wants to go?”

At least she wasn’t forced to go.

Even if they tricked her, there was no point if she wasn’t willing. He knew his daughter well enough.

She just didn’t want to admit her feelings to anyone.

The next day, after breakfast, the party went to the pier. The ship that was docked there would leave at 10:15 a.m.

Sunny, Mahina, and the butler sent them to the pier, and some of the Southern Clan members were there too.

Daisie looked toward Sunny and the others with a heavy heart. “Take care of yourself. We’ll come back and visit.”

Sunny smiled and nodded. “I’m glad you think that way. We’ll always be on the East Islands.”

After a long time, Cameron was not there yet.

Daisie looked toward Waylon. ‘Is he not going to wait for her?‘

Would she really show up? Daisie wasn’t sure, even though Sunny had

said that Cameron would go to Bassburgh.

After around ten minutes, a car parked not too far away, and Cameron got out of the car in her shades. The driver helped her get her luggage

out of the trunk.

She walked over with her luggage.

Daisie was shocked. “You…”

Cameron turned away and smirked. “I’m just going for a few days. I don’t plan to say for too long.‘

Daisie smiled. “You can stay as long as you want.”

Cameron turned to look at the rest. “I’m really leaving. Are you not going to ask me to stay?”

Sunny turned around. “Oh, it’s time to go home and have a drink with Damian. Let’s go.”

Mahina waved. “Have fun.”

The butler smiled. “Go have fun. I’ll take care of him.”

Cameron was rendered speechless.

Those were the real faces of her family members. She angrily boarded the ship with her luggage.

Waylon looked at Cameron and couldn’t help but smile. Daisie walked close to him. “Let’s go.”

She boarded the ship with Nollace and Waylon following close behind.

The ship sailed off into the wide ocean.

Cameron sat in her cabin, reading a magazine, when Daisie poked her head in. “Cameron?”

She turned and closed her magazine. “What is it?”

Daisie walked into her cabin, closed the door, and sat down on the couch. “I came to see you because you might be bored.”

Cameron put her magazine aside. “It’s rare that you’re not spending time with your husband and with me instead.”

“It’s different.” Daisie walked over to the window and pulled the curtains aside. The sun’s rays shone in while the water shimmered. ” The first time I left home was to study at Yaramoor with Colton.”

Cameron was surprised and squinted. “Are you trying to make me feel better?”

She turned back with a broad smile. “I was just worried that you would be sad.”

Cameron chuckled. “Why would I be sad? I can still go back. I haven’t been to Bassburgh before, so it would be nice to visit it.”
