The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2551
Nollace did not hide any detail from Daisie and told her everything. When Daisie heard that the mastermind behind everything was Cecelia, she was stunned for a moment and did not say anything. Nollace took her hand. “The Taylors placed her next to me by force because they want to create opportunities for the daughter. However, I’ve already seen through their scheme and kicked her out of the company. As for what she instigated Madam Ames to do, I’ll get back at them slowly but surely after this.” She remained silent for a while and then asked, “Nollace, are the Taylors a pain to deal with?”
He explained, “The Taylors hold a solid status among the aristocrats, and they have a lot of connections in the cabinet and business circles. For political candidates, the Taylors’ votes are the most important. Although the Hathaways and the Taylors are now on the same level, uprooting the Taylors won’t be an easy thing to do.”
‘The Taylors have indeed contributed a lot to the royal family. The royal family can’t even deal with
normal aristocrats so casually without a strong reason, so dealing with the head of the cabinet’s family would be a pain in the *ss.”
“But don’t worry.” Nolace rubbed the top of her hair, with a glimmer of amusement beaming from her eyes. “I might not be able to get rid of the Taylors, but I’ve come up with ideas to deal with them. Cecelia has lit the fuse between the Taylors and the royal family this time, so they won’t dare to act rashly for
some time.”
Daisie gazed at him. “Then I’ll accompany you throughout this battle.”
He was dumbfounded.
She snorted. “I don’t care who Cecelia is. Since she dared to make a move on my baby, I won’t let her get away with this so easily.”
Nollace stroked her cheek and laughed. “Look at you. You look like you’re about to go into a ring for a fight.”
“I’m not joking here.” Daisie said seriously, “Since the Taylors are shameless enough to want their daughter to become your mistress, then how can I, your legal wife, not be allowed to say something about this? What makes her think that she’ll succeed in snatching my husband away from me?”
Nollace’s smile intensified, and he pinched her cheek. “She’ll never succeed. Other than you, I won’t ever
fall for another woman.”
Meanwhile, in a private hospital…
Lucius and Bianca stayed in the ward for a long time.
When Bianca saw her daughter lying on the bed, she could not stop crying and complained to her husband, “This is all your fault! All you see are benefits and numbers. You clearly know what Nollace Knowles is capable of! Do you really have the heart to watch our daughter continue to walk down this path and ruin her life?”
Lucius frowned and did not say a word.
Cecelia slowly opened her eyes at this time, and Bianca rushed to the bed. “Cecelia!”
“Mom…” Her voice sounded hoarse and dry.
Bianca caressed her slightly pale cheek. “Thank God, you’ve finally woken up.”
Cecelia thought of something and forced herself to sit up. “Dad, Mom, I’m here suffering all because of
Nollace! Why would he treat me like this? I won’t make myself suffer for nothing. I want to see Her Majesty!”
Bianca froze upon seeing her daughter’s borderline hysterical emotions, and her eyes turned bloodshot. ” Cecelia, this won’t do you any good. You’re at fault in this incident. Do you really think Her Majesty the Queen will help you seek justice?”
Cecelia stared at Lucius. “Dad!”
Lucius clenched his masseter and closed his eyes. “We’ll talk about this sometime in the future. During this period, you’d better stay low and don’t cause the Taylors any more trouble.”
He then turned around and walked out of the ward.
Cecelia was trembling with rage.
‘No one has ever said no to me. I’m Cecelia Taylor, the target of admiration for the other noble ladies. Even if Nollace has a wife, how could the position of the princess be handed over to a foreigner!?’
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2552
‘Regardless of whether I want to fight for the position, everyone in the country will only think that I’m the most suitable candidate to take over the position as the country’s princess. I want to fight over it only because I want that woman to know her place and leave the prince.
“Why would I give her so much attention? At the end of the day, she’s just a daughter of the Goldmanns.
‘However, Nollace actually did this to me because of that woman, and my mother is expecting me to turn a blind eye to it!?”
Bianca knew what Cecelia was thinking and quickly tried to persuade her. “Cecelia, Nollace isn’t as simple of a man as you think he is. Think about the fate of those who have offended him in the past. Apart from being the son of Her Majesty the Queen, he doesn’t deserve you, my precious daughter.”
How could Cecelia listen to her mother at this moment? She sneered. “If there are other princes, then I’ll choose to give up on him. But if you want me to give up now, you’re only turning me into a laughingstock. Are you telling me that I, the daughter of the most powerful aristocrat in Yaramoor, can’t compare myself to the daughter of a wealthy businessman from Zlokova?”
‘Nollace is not what I’ve always wanted. It’s the symbol of status and power! And Nolalce just so happens to be the prince.’
Bianca did not expect such words to escape her daughter’s mouth-she was surprised. “What nonsense are you talking about? Do you plan to sacrifice your happiness for such a pointless sense of achievement?”
She replied indifferently, “I’m the daughter of the Taylors. For the sake of the family, such a sacrifice is nothing.”
A hint of sadness flashed across Bianca’s face, and she fell silent.
‘I know very well that Lucius has always put his personal interests before anything else. But I didn’t expect my own daughter to be exactly the same.
‘What else can I say?’
Two days later…
Daisie was discharged from the hospital after passing the pregnancy test. Nollace took her back to the manor, and Mia, the butler, and the servants all stood at the door to welcome her.
Everyone was there except for Madam Ames. The only difference was that Mia had become Daisie’s personal assistant. She basically did not have to do anything other than cooking occasionally and spending most of her time with Daisie, which was a very relaxing job.
“Ma’am, welcome home.” Mia stepped forward, stretched her arms out, and gave Daisie a warm hug.
That series of actions made her look rather carefree.
Nollace frowned slightly.
Even the servants on the side were all shocked.
She was the most hyped and active person present.
Mia seemed to sense something was wrong too, so she let go of Daisie, who was stunned for a moment, and scratched her cheek in embarrassment. “Sorry, ma’am, I’m just too happy to see you that I lost
control of myself.”
Daisie did not mind her actions but laughed out loud instead. “Thank you.”
In fact, she was also very happy to see that Mia was fine.
Nollace wrapped his arm around Daisie’s shoulders. “It’s cold out here. Let’s go in first.”
The two then stepped into the house.
Mia patted her chest out of nervousness.
‘I only hugged Mrs. Knowles just now. What’s with Mr. Knowles’ glare? Will he deduct my salary becaus of that?
‘How stingy can he be!?’
Meanwhile, in the Cabinet Council Building…
Lucius walked downstairs with Max, one of the members of the Parliament. “How is Her Majesty the Queen doing recently?”
Max smiled and said, “Her Majesty has recently been busy receiving representatives from various countries, so she can’t get away at all.”
Lucius did not say anything.
Max looked at him. “Her Majesty the Queen has just assumed office. To be honest, many people are looking forward to the changes that the Queen can bring to Yaramoor. And I believe you’re also lookir forward to it, right?”
“Of course.” Lucius nodded, and a hint of emotion flashed across his eyes. “After all, we from the Taylor have witnessed the growth of all the previous kings, so I certainly look forward to it.”
After going out of the door, Max bid him goodbye, got in the car, and left.
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2553
ius stared at the back of the car, and the smile on his face slowly disappeared.
uly person from the cabinet that Queen Diana has seen recently is Max. She has refused to see anyone from the rest of the cabinet.
‘I originally planned to win Max over, but this fella is too rigid and upright. He’s not tactful enough. It’s no wonder that Diana would choose him.
‘He’s only a young bird now, but it’ll be difficult for me to deal with him when he’s grown into a full eagle.” On the other side of the city…
After sending Daisie home and confirming that she had settled down, Nollace went into the palace to meet his father. During the meal with him, Nollace took the initiative to tell his father about Lucius.
Rick lifted his head in surprise. “What? Then what about the baby?”
“The baby is fine. Because if I don’t say so, the Taylors will have a hundred excuses to set foot into the palace and demand an explanation. Mom has just succeeded as the Queen, so I can’t make things harder for her.”
Seeing that Nollace seemed very bothered, Rick sighed. “The Taylors‘ control over the majority of the cabinet is really not good news for your mother. In fact, your mother also understands this, and that’s why she plans to give some outstanding young people a chance in politics in the near future. As long as the valued officials aren’t too bad, they’ll have their chance.”
Nollace’s hand that was cutting the steak stopped, and he squinted. “Is Mom planning to decentralize power?”
“That’s right. Those old geezers in the cabinet have monopolized power for many years. They’ve been arranging for people who are related to their own family to participate in politics in order to consolidate their own position, while the other people won’t even have a chance at all.” Rick sharply pointed out the inside story of the cabinet these few years.
“Your grandfather turned a blind eye and didn’t care about it at the time because he had a mutually beneficial relationship with them, and he still needed them. Now that your mother has succeeded to the throne, she doesn’t even think about it at all.”
Nollace understood the meaning of his father’s words.
‘Mom doesn’t share the same interest with them, so it’s most reasonable for her to do these things because she doesn’t need to care about her relationship with them.
‘She can develop beneficial relationships with anyone at any time and promote anyone worthy of her trust. She doesn’t need to be restricted by those people.
If they are loyal, Mom will naturally be willing to let them retain their original power, but if they disagree with her ways, Mom will promote her own people, decentralize their power in the cabinet, and use it as a counterweight.
‘This is equivalent to giving more people a chance to get into politics. As long as they have good abilities, they’ll have the opportunity to take up positions in the cabinet.
‘This will constantly inject new blood into the interior of the cabinet, the cabinet members will change or be replaced every three years, and the new members will take up new positions so that they won’t have a chance to win each other over.
‘Perhaps my grandfather had already taken this into account when he decided to make Mom the queen before he passed.”
Sure enough, after Diana eased the requirement of becoming a parliamentary candidate, she won the cheers of many citizens. However, some cabinet members were not very content with her approach.
“Has Her Majesty lost her mind? What is she up to?”
“Who knows? Maybe she’s come up with this way just because she wanted us to keep each other in check.”
Several ministers were discussing the Queen’s decision in the corridor. When they saw Lucius approaching them with a sullen expression, they also knew that he seemed dissatisfied with the new requirements issued by Her Majesty.
“Your Excellency, what is the Queen thinking? Is she giving us a warning?”
“A new broom sweeps clean. We’ve really underestimated her.”
Lucius remained sulky and silent. No one knew what he was thinking.
At that moment, Yorrick walked toward them. “Are you guys all talking about something?”
Yorrick had never been on their side, so it was natural for them not to talk about the things they were discussing. At this time, someone deliberately asked, “Your Excellency, what do you think about the Queen’s new parliamentarian regulations?”
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2554
squinted and smiled “I don’t think the Queen’s decision poses any problem.”
The man asked angrily. “Don’t you mind if someone were to take your place in the cabinet?”
“If someone else has the ability, I’ll be happy to step down from my current position. After all, there will be
a time when all of us will have to retire, isn’t that right?” Yorrick still had a smile on his face, and the members were unable to tell whether he truly meant what he said or if he was trying to mock them.
Those people looked dissatisfied but did not utter a single word.
Yorrick then glanced at Lucius I heard that your daughter was hospitalized. Is she okay?”
As soon as Cecelia was brought up, Lucius‘ gaze dimmed. “Where did you hear this from?”
I didn’t say anything about it I won’t even allow rumors about things that won’t do the Taylors any good to exist, let alone spread
Yorrick gave off a faint smirk. “I’m not very sure where I saw it. It’s from one of the media outlets, so it’s a little surprising to me.”
Lucius’s expression looked extremely gloomy at that moment.
He then checked the news while he was on his way back and found out that his daughter had condemned Nollace on a few social media platforms, and many media outlets had reposted it.
Lucius was so exasperated that his chest hurt.
“Did that idiot really think that public opinion is going to crush Nollace?”
When he got home, Lucius threw his phone at Cecelia. “Do you know what you’re doing? You’re to delete all these articles and posts now!”
Cecelia did not take it seriously. “Why should I delete them? He has the guts to torture me, so why can’t I attack him through the media?”
Lucius scoffed out of wrath. “He has evidence of what you and that woman did. Do you really think these public opinions alone can harm him?”
“She’s only a criminal who steals secrets. Who would believe in what she says?” Cecelia stood up looked directly at Lucius. “Dad, don’t worry. I won’t get you involved. I know what I’m doing.”
Cecelia turned around and went upstairs.
Lucius summoned the butler. “Where did Cecelia go today?”
The butler glanced upstairs and said in a low voice, “Ms. Taylor went to the prison and visited that woman.”
“She’s just messing around, and she’s not even afraid of being discovered!” Lucius gnashed his teeth.
and
‘It’s no wonder she dares to post all those bullsh*t on social media. It seems that she’s talked to Clover Finlay.”
Something came to Lucius‘ mind, and he whispered into the butler’s ear.
The butler then nodded. “Understood.”
At Blue Valley Manor…
Daisie took a nap, and when she woke up, she saw Nollace lying beside her with his eyes closed, letting
1/2
her rest her head on his arm.
She took a closer look at his face and vaguely saw a trace of black on his eyebags.
She did not wake Nollace up and wanted to get up quietly, but an arm wrapped itself around her waist and hugged her, and a face was buried into her neck and shoulder.
A hoarse voice sounded at that moment. “You’ve woken up?”
Daisie felt itchy and pushed him away slightly. “Rest if you’re really tired.”
He pecked her cheek. “I’ve already rested.”
Daisie pushed him back onto the bed, told him to lie down, and covered him with the blanket. “Dark circles have appeared under your eyes, and you’re telling me that you’ve already rested?”
He smiled without saying a word.
She tucked him under the blanket. “I saw the news today.”
Nollace stared at her. “And then?”
Daisie snorted softly. “I know you don’t care, but since that woman dares to make a move on my husband and spread rumors about you, there’s no way that I’ll let her get away with it.”
Nollace sneered and stretched out his hand to embrace her. “Then, did you scold her online?”
She leaned on his undulating chest. “I didn’t retaliate against her online. I only asked Colton to do something for me.”
Nollace narrowed his eyes slightly.
Just as public opinion on the Internet favored Cecelia, a new post was uploaded on all her social media
accounts.
#Sure enough, they’re only a group of stupid commoners. Did you seriously believe what I said? He’s only a prince. I couldn’t care less about what he does. #
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2555
Not only that, Cecelia even exposed all the call recordings and text messages between her and Clover.
The netizens were taken aback by such a turnaround and were obviously irritated by Cecelia’s remarks.
#Is this b*tch very proud of her own status?#
#Are the Taylors really a thing? Aren’t they just another pack of dogs that the royal family raises as pets? Are the dogs actually looking down on their owner now?#
#We’re just some stupid commoners, so we shouldn’t sympathize with her, should we?#
#Is there something wrong with this woman?#
#It turns out that she’s failed to seduce the prince, so she now holds a grudge against him and has started defaming him. This is ridiculous.#
Public opinion once again set off a huge wave on the Internet and pushed the topic up to the number one most discussed topic on Twitter and multiple other platforms.
At the other end of the post, Cecelia was dumbfounded when she saw such remarks on the Internet. How is this possible? I didn’t even post this!”
When she wanted to log into her social media accounts, she realized that her account and password had been changed!
“Cecelial” Bianca opened the door, hurried into the room, and stared at her in shock. “What did you post on your social media this time around!?”
She had been asked to behave for some time and leave everything to her father.
But she had actually managed to cause an even greater uproar online.
Cecelia scratched her hair frantically, smashed her phone on the floor, and yelled, “I didn’t post it! Someone is trying to frame me!”
Bianca stepped forward. “Cecelia, public opinion is against you now. Listen to me, we’ll organize a press conference, and you’ll apologize to the public…”
“I won’t do so!” Cecelia pushed her mother away and shouted viciously, “Why should I apologize? They don’t even deserve an apology from me!”
Looking at how stubborn her daughter was, Bianca hesitated but did not speak in the end. Seeing that the situation was spiraling out of control as time passed, she was afraid that it would have a great impact on their family.
At Blue Valley Manor….
Daisie was in the study on a video call with Colton. “Colton, did you hack into her social media accounts and steal them?”
Colton crossed his arms and leaned against the back of the chair. “What’s there to worry about? Do you still not trust my skills?”
Daisie laughed out loud. “Trust, I certainly trust you.”
Nollace appeared behind Daisie at some point and looked at the man on the screen. “You actually did something to counter such a trivial matter. I do owe you a thank you.”
“Nollace Knowles, stop being an eccentric brat over there. You’re to handle the rest of the matter
yourself. If you let Daisie get hurt along the way, I’ll—”
Before Colton could finish speaking, Nollace had already closed the lid of the laptop.
Daisie turned her head backward and stared at him. “Colton hasn’t finished yet.”
Nollace looked down at her. “I know what he’s going to say. I’ve heard it so many times that I’ll vomit if I listen to it another time.”
Daisie raised her chin. “Oh really?”
He leaned over and gave her a peck on her lips. “I’m to protect my wife and not let her get hurt anymore. Do I really need him to remind me about these?”
Daisie raised her hand, rubbed his hair, and grinned. “Then you must protect yourself when you go out too, especially when you’re so good–looking. Other women will surely target you.”
Nollace scoffed out of a slight rage and pinched her cheek. “Sometimes, I think I’m really helpless when I’m around you.”
As soon as Nollace left the manor, he received a call from Edison while he was on his way.
Edison reported, “Mr. Knowles, Clover Finlay died in prison.”
Nollace’s expression dimmed instantly. “When did it happen?”
“Just this morning. I’m now at the Bureau of Justice, waiting for her autopsy report.”
Nollace ended the call, turned around, and went to the Bureau of Justice.
Edison could be seen lingering at the entrance when he arrived at the bureau. Seeing that Nollace was getting out of the car, he hurried forward. “Mr. Knowles.”
Nollace loosened his tie. “Is the autopsy report out yet?”
“No, but probably soon.”
He stopped and looked at Edison. “Is anyone else here?”
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2556
Edison paused because he was trying to guess what was on Nollace’s mind, then after a while, he finally answered. Thaven’t informed anyone, but I can’t be sure if nobody found out.”
After ten minutes, they both waited in the hall, and the section chief walked out with the autopsy report. ” You’re here, Your Highness”
Nollace looked at the report “What did you find?”
He replied. “We found some amatoxin in her body. This toxin is found in poisonous mushrooms. Consuming too much of it can cause heart failure.”
After that, he flipped a page. “But what we found weird is that the food in prison is strictly prepared, so it shouldn’t just show up in the food. We didn’t find any of the poison in her cell either.”
Edison whispered to Nollace. “Someone was bribed?”
Nollace squinted but didn’t reply.
After they left the Bureau of Justice, he rested his arm on Edison’s shoulder and smiled. “I have a mission for you.”
Edison nodded “Sure.”
Nollace blocked the news about Clover’s death in prison from spreading. However, her death was still leaked to the media after a few days.
H
The lobby of Yanis Tech was flooded with reporters. When Nollace showed up, they all rushed forward and asked, “Mr Knowles, Clover Finlay used to work for you, and we had a tip–off about her death in prison.”
“Since she caused your wife’s miscarriage, did you really kill her while she was incarcerated?”
“Was her death really connected to you?”
Nollace was silent when faced with all the questioning.
Hedeon rushed forward and pushed the cameras away. “What are you talking about? How would her death be connected to Mr. KNowles? Who hired you to spread b’llshit like this?”
The reporters frowned. “We just want the truth. Besides, we know that the night she was poisoned, Mr. Knowles paid a visit to the prison. Why did he try to block the news if he’s not related to her death?”
The other reporters looked at each other. They found out that Clover was dead for a few days prior to that, and it was obviously a cover–up.
Was this really not related to him?
Hedeon’s face dropped, and he still wanted to argue with them, but Nollace grabbed his shoulder and shook his head
Hedeon contained his anger and stopped speaking.
Noliace looked into the camera, tidied up his shirt, and said with a calm expression. “I did block the news because I was investigating her cause of death. Everyone in the Bureau of Justice can confirm that.”
The reporters looked at each other again.
Nollace rested his finger on his watch and looked up without a change in expression. “I was investigating but ended up becoming a suspect. So, where did you get the information that I was blocking the news?”
The place fell silent.
Hedeon pointed at the reporter who questioned them the loudest. “Exactly Tell us, where did you get the information from?”
The reporter was put on the spot. “We We just got the information, but we don’t know who it’s from.”
Everyone else got curious because they couldn’t tell if the information they got was legitimate If it were, they could have gotten the best headline and some exposure, but if it were a hoax, they would be in trouble for offending the prince
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2557
The reporters left. Hedeon walked into the main hall with Nollace. “Nollace, what’s going on? Madam Ames is dead?”
He didn’t know anything about that.
Nollace stopped in front of the elevator and calmly nodded. “Yes.”
Hedeon suddenly understood. “So, the reporters were here to frame you? Who would be dumb enough to paint themselves as a suspect?”
Nollace had–blocked the news, so only the people who worked in prison and the bureau knew. Once the news got out, it would mean that people from these two places were the ‘problem‘.
He looked at Hedeon and tapped his shoulder. “You’re quite clever.”
“I have to be if I want to hang out around you.” Hedeon flashed a big smile.
Nollace nodded. “I orchestrated the entire thing.”
Hedeon’s smile faded as he followed him into the elevator. “Are you joking?”
“Do you think I am?”
“No, but the reporters today… You arranged for them to come over?”
“They didn’t know that.” Nollace looked at him and squinted. “Now that you know, if you let this slip…”
Hedeon clicked his tongue. “Alright, you can trust me. I’m not a snitch. Don’t worry. I’m going to pretend this didn’t happen.”
He finally let his curiosity run free. “But why did you do this?”
Nollace walked out of the elevator and toward his office, with Hedeon following close behind.
They walked into the office, and Hedeon closed the door after looking back to make sure that no one was
there.
Nollace removed his tie and sat down on the couch. “The prison found Clover dead. If the media went there and her cause of death was exposed, the people behind this would surely start panicking.”
Hedeon sat across from him. “You let the reporters know that she’s dead, so they suspect you just to make the culprit think that someone else leaked the news?”
“Something like that.” Nollace looked at his watch. “I guess that person should have gotten the information by now.”
In the Taylor manor’s study….
Lucius threw the newspaper at the butler. “What did you do? Didn’t you tell me that Nollace Knowles blocked the news about Clover’s death? How did it still get out?”
The butler picked the newspaper up, looked at it, and immediately looked anxious. “I… Sir, I don’t know what happened, but they did tell me that His Highness blocked all the news from getting out on that day.”
The veins in Lucius’s neck surfaced, and he looked furious.
The butler remembered something and immediately said, “The media is suspecting that this is linked to His Highness. All we have to do is pin it on him-”
“Pin it on him?” Lucius clenched his jaw. “Is your brain filled with sh*t? He’s investigating this as the
prince. The people in the Bureau of Justice can vouch for that. How are you going to pin it on him? Do you think you can bribe them?”
If Nollace dared investigate Clover’s death at the bureau and block the news, if someone tried to attack him, it would be akin to walking into a trap.
If he wasn’t dumb, he would have guessed the problem was in the prison department. He had assumed that there would be no evidence that his daughter had ordered Clover to do anything after the latter’s death.
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2558
During the time the news was blocked, the person they engaged with was let out of prison. However, they would be in trouble if this was exposed and the prison department started looking into it.
The butler was sweating profusely. “What should we do then?”
Mr. Tyler sat on his chair with a solemn face. “Silence them forever.”
The butler’s legs went weak, and he was in shock. “Sir, but he’s my-
Mr. Tyler didn’t give him a chance to think about it. “If he doesn’t die, you will. You hear?”
The butler touched his throat and didn’t dare make a peep.
It was dark outside when the
lights at Blue Valley Manor lit up.
Edison walked into the study and saw Nollace in a black silk robe standing in front of the window.
“Sir, the prison department has done a thorough inspection. Other than one person who was on sick leave, everyone who was in contact with Clover was investigated.”
Nollace squinted and looked at the man behind him through the reflection. “On sick leave on that day?”
“Yes, I brought the information.”
Edison handed the information to him. He turned around and took it.
Edison said, “The man is called Bart Duval. He’s from the north and has been working in the prison
kitchen for five years. He was on sick leave on the day of the murder, and everyone was able to confirm
that.”
Nollace’s eyes darted around. “He didn’t touch the inmates‘ food?”
Edison shook his head. “Another person made the food, and that person is under investigation now.”
When he saw suspicion in Nollace’s eyes, Edison asked, “Do you think he did it?”
“He was the only one who wasn’t there, so it was suspicious. Take a look if he has relatives here and find out where he lives.”
He then handed the file to Edison, who took it back. “Yes, sir.”
Nollace walked to the room and saw only one light was left on.
He sat down at the edge of the bed, pulled the blanket over Daisie, and leaned down to kiss her.
Daisie suddenly opened her eyes and blocked him. “What are you still doing?”
He paused, then held her hand and raised his brows. “You weren’t asleep?”
“I was waiting for you.”
She turned around and gave a lazy smile.
Nollace lay down next to her and let her lie on his arm.
Daisie moved closer to his chest and hugged him. “Nolly, I’m going for a check–up tomorrow.”
“I’ll go with you.”
“No.” Daisie looked up at him while the warm light shone on her face. “Mia will be there with me. I’m just
1/2
Chal
informing you.”
He frowned. “You don’t need me anymore?”
Daisie chuckled and tapped his nose. “Of course I do. You have to be by my side during the delivery.”
Nollace grabbed her hand, kissed her hand, and said in a hoarse voice, “Of course.”
The next day…
Daisie and Mia went to the hospital accompanied by the bodyguards.
“Ma’am, why didn’t you let His Highness Knowles come along?” Mia didn’t know what the proper way to address him was.
Daisie rubbed her belly, which had started to show, smiled, and said, “It’s just a check–up. He has more important things to get to.”
Daisie knew that he was investigating the death of Clover. She didn’t feel sorry for her death but couldn’t just sit around when someone was trying to pin it on her husband.
The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2559
Nonetheless, Daisie believed that Nollace would be able to get his name cleared.
After she walked into the room, Daisie looked up at Mia and said, “You can wait outside.”
Mia nodded, watched her go in, and walked around the corridor.
After 15 minutes, Daisie walked out.
Mia walked over and asked, “How did it go?”
Daisie handed her the pictures from the ultrasound.
Mia leaned closer and was shocked. “Oh wow, twins?”
Daisie shushed her. “Keep it a secret for now. Don’t let anyone know that we still have the babies.”
Nollace had announced that Clover and Cecelia had caused her miscarriage because he had plans. She had to play along to protect the children.
Mia covered her mouth and nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”
Daisie and Mia walked out of the hospital and bumped into Cecelia walking toward them, seemingly there for a check–up too. It was probably because of the side effects of taking the medication.
When Cecelia saw them, her expression changed as she removed her sunglasses and glared at them.”
You?”
She took a quick glance at Daisie’s belly. She was wearing a loose dress with a coat, so it didn’t look like. she was pregnant.
Daisie raised her brows. “Ms. Taylor, what a coincidence. What are you doing here?”
Cecelia’s face dropped when she remembered what Nollace had done to her, forcing her to take the medication and messing up her menstrual cycle. Her stomach ached very badly too, all for this woman!
She smiled through her teeth. “It’s none of your business. You, though, shouldn’t be walking around now that you’ve lost your baby.”
Mia was annoyed by that. “How could you say that!?”
Daisie raised her hand to stop her and looked into Cecelia’s eyes. “I can get pregnant again. You, however, should rest after taking that medication. You might become barren.”
The mention of medication triggered Cecelia, and she yelled out loud, “How dare you curse me!?”
She raised her hand to slap Daisie.
The slap sounded crisp, but it wasn’t on Daisie’s face, but hers.
Daisie was faster than her and gave her a slap, which made Cecelia’s face swell a little. She covered her face and was shocked.
Daisie rubbed her burning palm and smiled. “I did this for the child. You deserve it.”
“You b*tch! How could you-”
Cecelia rushed toward Daisie as she said that, but Mia quickly stood in front of her. Cecelia waved her nails at Mia’s face, which scratched her.
Daisie’s face dropped when she saw them, and she gave Cecelia a kick.
But since she might have used too much force, her lower abdomen hurt a little. She took a deep breath to avoid making it seem too obvious.
Mia noticed something and immediately went over to hold her. “Are you alright, ma’am?”
Daisie shook her head and took a look at Cecelia.
At that moment, Cecelia’s bodyguards rushed over, “Ms. Taylor!”
The bodyguards helped her up, but she pushed them away and shot daggers at Daisie. “You’re just a Goldmann, yet you dare hit me. If I did anything to you today, I don’t think the Goldmann would be able to do anything to me!”
Daisie raised her chin. “Go ahead then.”
Cecelia looked at the bodyguards behind her. “Give them a good beating!”

The bodyguard approached Daisie.
Mia yelled, “Help!”
The bodyguards who came with them heard Mia’s voice and noticed that something was going to happen, so they rushed over. They surpassed Cecelia’s guards in numbers.
Mia pointed at Cecelia. “This woman wants to beat up our ma’am. What are we going to do about that?”
Cecelia didn’t realize that they had brought their bodyguards too. She clenched her jaw and arrogantly said, “So what? That’s my turf. Are your men going to touch me? I’m a Taylor. You’re not going to survive in Yaramoor if anything happens to me.”
Daisie smirked and looked at the bodyguards. “Do It.”
The bodyguards didn’t care who Cecelia was and started beating her men up. All of them were professional fighters, so they were able to easily subdue the others.
Cecelia backed away, looking pale. “Are you crazy? I’m a Tayl-”
Before she could finish, one of the men gave her a slap that made her fall to the floor.
Cecelia was disoriented as her ear rang. There was even blood from the corner of her lips, and her face was badly swollen.
She was stunned because a lowly bodyguard slapped her.
Daisie walked over to her and looked down. “You’re just a Taylor, but my husband is a prince. Do you think a prince would be afraid to do anything to the daughter of an aristocrat? People might think the Taylors are the royals if that were true.”
Cecelia trembled in anger–her arrogance was obviously slapped away.
Daisie crossed her arms and continued. “I couldn’t care less about you Taylors anyway. If you want to compare status, my grandfather is a count in Stoslo. We’re higher in the social hierarchy than you Taylors, but I wasn’t being as arrogant. Why do you think you can do that?”
She then leaned down closer to her. “You ignorant woman. I can understand though. We Goldmanns are in the business world, but it doesn’t mean you can bully us.”
Daisie stood up straight and walked away with Mia and the bodyguards.
Cecelia looked at her useless bodyguards and then at herself before fainting because she was too furious.
When they were back in the car, Mia happily said, “So what if she’s a Taylor? She’s walking around with an empty head. She thought we wouldn’t do anything to her. That’s too funny.”
She deserved that slap.
Daisie shrugged. “I’ve seen a lot of people who like to push people around. She’ll keep thinking she can bully us if I don’t teach her a lesson.”
She had been intending to give Cecelia a good beating for a long while. She was glad that Cecelia gave
her a reason to do it.
“Exactly. I hate the aristocrats who bully people. All they did was be born into a good, family. That’s nothing to be proud of.”
She hated the upper class, who thought they were better than everyone, but Daisie and Freyja were different.
Daisie noticed the scratch Cecelia’s nails left on Mia’s face. I’ll give you some ointment when we’re back. I don’t want it to leave a scar.”
Mia touched her face, smiled, and said, “Thanks, ma’am.”
Nollace found out that Cecelia had been slapped. When Hedeon heard it, he clapped and cheered. “Good job, Daisie. That arrogant woman must have cried so hard.”
