The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2721

“The old people like it like that, but as long as they’re happy.”

After a few days, at Stoslo…

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees had a party, and Leah was invited.

Leah wasn’t planning on going, but her colleagues were very passionate, so she agreed.

After work, they all went to a restaurant for the party.

Once Leah walked in, she noticed that Dennis was there. He was in a blue sports jacket, and it looked fashionable.

She sat down with two other female interpreters.

Denish swirled his wine glass as he spoke to someone, and his eyes fell on Leah. “Ms. Younge, is this your first time joining our party?”

One of the women teased him. “You’re paying too much attention to her. Is there something going on. between you two?”

Dennis smiled. “I wouldn’t mind that at all.” It was obvious what he meant. He was very open about it.

Leah frowned but then smiled politely. “You’re very frank.”

“Always have been.”

The woman sitting next to Leah leaned close. “Are you going to consider it?”

Everyone started getting excited.

Leah just smiled. “I’m going to focus on my career for now.”

“Ms. Younge is a career-driven woman.”

“I guess. I just prefer to let relationships unfold naturally. In Zlokovia, we usually both work together to get closer.”

Dennis slowly sipped his wine and didn’t continue the topic.

When everyone got there, Leah noticed that the woman sitting in the corner looked anxious and like she didn’t fit in.

Leah kept her eyes on her and noticed that she was the person she had bumped into the other day.

Leah was curious. Usually, when couples fought, they wouldn’t make it obvious to everyone else. Since she was sitting quite far from Dennis, she wasn’t interacting with him at all.

‘Did they break up?”

The woman looked up and saw her looking.

Leah paused and raised her glass politely, but the woman looked away, worried that she would be seen.

She raised her brows until Dennis looked in the direction that she was looking.

Leah speculated whether there was something funny going on between them.

All the food arrived, and everyone started dining and chatting happily.

Leah got a message from Morrison.

She replied to the message, but the woman beside her noticed it and smiled. “Text from your boyfriend?”

Leah paused, then put her phone back into her pocket. “Just a friend.”

“A man or a woman?”

“You’re pretty nosy.”

The colleague chuckled. “Everyone in the department is. We just want to be in the know. I’ve been very interested in gossip from overseas. I heard that the princess of Yaramoor gave birth to three heirs.”

“We know that too. It’s in the news.”

Everyone excitedly joined in the discussion and was jealous of Daisie.

Leah knew Daisie, so she was in an awkward position because they were talking about her friend. What could she say?

“Ms. Younge, aren’t you from Bassburgh? The princess is from there too, right? Do you know her?”

Leah smiled. “She’s a famous actress. Everyone knows her.”

She didn’t make her relationship with Daisie clear but still gave a sensible answer.

While everyone was still on the topic, Leah realized that the woman was no longer there.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2722

Leah got up. “I’m going to the restroom.”

As she walked away, Dennis kept his eyes on her.

When she got to the restroom, she realized the woman was there. She was startled but then walked over  to the sink area.

Leah asked her as a colleague, “Did you have too much to drink?”

The woman shook her head.

“Good then. It’s best not to drink too much at an event like this.” Leah took a napkin and wiped her lipstick away. After a moment, she saw a scar around the woman’s wrist. “What’s wrong with your hand?”

She panicked and pulled her sleeve to cover her hand. “Nothing.” She quickly walked to the door but stopped before stepping out, then turned back to look at Leah. “Don’t trust Dennis.”

She then quickly left.

Leah frowned. ‘Don’t trust Dennis…

‘Did something happen to her? And that scar, was it from being tied up?”

Leah stayed there for a while but bumped into Dennis when she went out. Leah still had her mind on the woman and panicked when she suddenly saw him.

Dennis noticed her expression and squinted. “Did Aina tell you something?”

‘Aina? That is her name?”

Leah looked at him and asked, “Isn’t she your girlfriend? Why do you ask?”

Dennis paused, smiled, and explained, “She’s my ex.”

“You broke up?”

“Correct.” There wasn’t a change in his expression. “She cheated and betrayed me. Shouldn’t we break  up?”

Lean never asked what happened to her wrists, but she knew it wasn’t as simple as that.

“I guess that’s why you have an odd dynamic.”

Dennis raised his brow, and his eyes were dark. “Did she say something bad about me to you?”

Leah reacted quickly. “If she cheated, why would she want to say something bad about you?”

He didn’t reply. After a long pause, he smiled. “It wouldn’t be the first time she did that.”

Leah smiled too. “That’s why you’re so cautious. I guess it’s never nice to be slandered.”

Dennis looked at her. “You understand me.”

Leah calmly replied, “I don’t think that’s understanding. Everyone has their own way of thinking. I should get back to my seat after being away for so long.”

She turned around, and her face immediately dropped. The man had seen through her but didn’t call her  out.

They finally left at 9:00 p.m.

Dennis stood next to Leah and asked, “Did you drive? Do you need a ride?”

Leah looked at her watch. “Thanks, but someone is picking me up.”

“That’s too bad.”

Soon after, an SUV stopped outside, and Leah got in.

Morrison and Dennis looked at each other, then Morrison drove away.

In the car, Morrison kept his eyes on the road. “Why didn’t you leave in his car this time?”

Leah looked at him and teased, “You sound jealous.”

When she noticed Morrison’s awkward expression, she quickly said, “I’m just joking.”

He frowned and didn’t reply.

Leah leaned back in her seat. “By the way, I think Dennis’ ex-girlfriend was abused.”

“His ex-girlfriend?” Morrison squinted. “I don’t remember him having a girlfriend. He does have a lot of lady friends, though.”

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2723

Leah paused. “Aina wasn’t his girlfriend?”

Then why did he… Hold on! The interpreter said that Dennis was single. He didn’t have a girlfriend and wasn’t married, so why wouldn’t they make it public if Aina was his girlfriend?

‘No one in the department knows about it?”

Morrison chuckled. “He has so many women in his contacts. Who knows which one you’re talking about? But from what I see, he’s planning to make you his next target.”

Leah was stunned and looked over at this face. “You know him well?”

“There’s no secret that the Night Banquet fails to uncover. There’s no such thing as tight lips.”

The lights shone in through the window, illuminating the car now and then.

Leah was quiet for a long moment before saying. “I saw ligature marks on Aina’s wrists, and she seemed to be very afraid of Dennis. She told me not to trust him.”

She wasn’t planning to, anyway. Even though Dennis had told her that Aina had cheated on him and

betrayed him, he was probably worried that she would say something to hurt his reputation.

Was he only worried that she would tarnish his reputation? If she really did cheat on him, why would he be worried that she would try to defame him?

Morrison frowned. “Why are you up in someone’s business?”

“I can’t just let it go. I think Dennis did something to her.”

Morrison said, “Don’t just believe anyone.”

Leah fell silent after that.

When they got to her apartment, she got out and turned back because something had come to her mind.” Thanks for coming to get me, free driver. Are you interested in supper?”

Morrison got out of the car. “Are you buying?”

She smiled. “Think of it as the fare.”

The two people bought some barbecued meat and snacks from China Town and then bought a few cans of beer before returning to the apartment.

Morrison wasn’t shy at all.

Leah smiled and said, “You don’t mind staying at a woman’s home anymore?”

He paused, then looked up. “You asked me to stay. Are you asking me to leave now?”

She picked up a skewer of meat. “Not at all.”

She then picked up the beer can, clinked it to his, and downed it before he even started.

Morrison looked at her. “You… didn’t have enough to drink there?”

“I didn’t really eat during the party. I didn’t feel like eating because I wasn’t comfortable when he was around.” She wasn’t very happy about that. “He seems pretentious. I tried so hard not to question him when I saw the marks on Aina’s wrists.”

Morrison laughed and slowly drank his beer. “You need to fix this problem with you being nosy.”

“You’re nosy about my business too.”

She might have drunk too much, or maybe it was the lighting. She found Morrison looking better and as if everything about him was nice.

He had pale skin and beautiful features, and his temper was unpredictable but not annoying. Most importantly, he was more reliable than anyone she knew.

“I’m not nosy about you…” Morrison looked up and saw her gawking at him, then squinted. “Are you… drunk?”

Leah looked down. “Don’t worry, not yet.”

Morrison took her can away. “Stop drinking.”

She burped. “What are you afraid of?”

Morrison moved the can away from her and said, “I’m afraid that you might get drunk and take advantage of me.”

She chuckled, but suddenly her laughter turned into tears. Morrison didn’t know what to do, so he went over in front of her and squatted down. “Hey, why are you crying?”

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2724

“I miss him.”

Morrison knew who she meant, and his face froze. “You’re doing this to yourself. Miss someone else!”

Leah’s eyes were teary, but he couldn’t tell if she was sad or glad. “Miss you instead?”

Morrison paused. After a long pause, he sat down on the floor. “Are you sure you’re not drunk?”

“Do I look drunk?”

“Quite.”

Leah looked down. She wasn’t thinking when she said that. She was three years older than Morrison, so it wouldn’t work out. She had wasted ten years of love on Zephir, so now she wouldn’t want to ask for too much. After a moment, she smiled.

Leah lowered her head to hide her eyes. “I was just joking, don’t take it too seriously.”

She then started cleaning up. “Alright, I’m done, and I’m going to rest. Remember to lock the door on your way out.”

Morrison chuckled. When he saw her standing up, he pulled her back down. “You best take responsibility for what you said when you’re sober!”

Leah was startled, and her facial expression was one of shock. She thought she had misheard him.

After a moment, she mumbled, “What responsibility?”

Morrison leaned in. “I’m not someone you can just flirt with. If you want to flirt with me, you must be ready for what happens afterward.”

Her eyes darted around before she suddenly planted a kiss on his lips.

It was just a peck, so he didn’t have time to react to it.

After that, Leah smiled. “Does that count?”

Morrison took a deep breath, put his hand behind her head, and pulled her in for a kiss.

Leah almost fell into his arms.

After a long time, Morrison finally left her lips. Leah burst out in giggles and leaned on his shoulder.

He let her do that while he looked straight ahead. “What is this supposed to mean? One minute you said you were missing some other man, the next you kissed me…”

Leah chuckled. “Did I say who I was missing? It could be my dad.”

Morrison had nothing to say.

Leah looked down, pressed her lips together, and said, “I think… I have feelings for you.”

Morrison was surprised as he scanned her face.

She carefully continued. “If you mind the age gap, I‘

“Who do you think I am?” Morrison leaned in closer to her. “If I cared that you’re older than me, I would have jumped out of the building after what you did a few seconds ago.”

Leah looked up and was still surprised.

He stood up. “Alright, It’s late. You should rest. Think about it after you wake up tomorrow and call me.” He paused for a few seconds before looking down at her. “I’m giving you the entire night to think about

this.”

After that, he cleared up the food packaging on the table. As he was about to leave, Leah called out to him. “I’m giving you the entire night to think if you want to be my boyfriend too.”

Morrison licked the corner of his lips and chuckled. “You’re going to get in trouble tomorrow.”

Leah stood on the balcony and watched the car drive away. She watched it move further and further away, and her heart finally calmed. It felt odd. She hadn’t been rejected, so did this mean that they were both into each other?

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2725

The next day, Leah attended a meeting with the Secretary–General. They were meeting elected officials from other countries. She took notes during the session while interpreting for the Secretary–General.

After the two–hour meeting ended, she walked out of the building with the Secretary–General, who turned around next to the car. “I’m heading somewhere else. You can take the rest of the day off.”

Leah nodded. “Alright. See you soon.”

After the car drove away, Leah took out her phone, which was on silent mode, and saw that Morrison had sent her a message. She smiled and called him. “I was in a meeting. Have you considered, Mr. Shaw?”

Morrison cleared his throat and said in a very serious tone, “What time will the girlfriend be done with work today?”

She smiled. “5:00 p.m.”

“What does the girlfriend feel like having today?”

“…” Her lips curled. “Anything works. I’ll eat whatever I can get, including the boyfriend.”

Morrison was drinking, so he choked and coughed very hard when he heard that. After calming down, he gnashed his teeth. “Leah, seeing how excited you are, I’m… looking forward to seeing you.”

Leah was going to say something more, but she saw someone and quickly said, “I have something else to attend to. I’ll speak to you tonight.”

Before he could reply, she had already hung up.

Morrison laughed. “She doesn’t even take responsibility for what she said.”

Leah started walking toward a woman wearing a mask until she took off her mask. It was Aina.

Aina looked around. “Can I speak to you?”

Leah nodded.

They went to a cafe nearby. Leah ordered two lattes and looked at Aina, who was in a turtleneck.

Aina was around her age, but the way she dressed made her look older. It was warm outside, yet she was in a turtleneck.

Leah remembered the marks on her wrists. “Ms. Mogen, is there something that you can’t tell me?”

Aina wanted to say something but didn’t.

Noticing her nerves, Leah softened her tone. “I could tell that something was going on between you and Dennis, but I know you have a secret. He doesn’t treat you well, right?”

Aina curled up her fingers and bit her lip. She was struggling.

When the server brought their coffees, she handed one to Aina. “You told me not to trust Dennis, so I believed you. I know that Dennis isn’t a simple person.”

Aina looked at the cup, and her lips parted. Her voice was hoarse. “I’m afraid of him.”

Leah paused. “Did he abuse you?”

She turned pale, and after a long pause, she pulled down her collar and showed red marks on her neck.

Leah was shocked. “He did that?”

1/2

Aina couldn’t help but cover her face and burst out crying.

Leah handed her a few napkins. “Can you tell me what actually happened?”

Aina took the napkins and shook her head. “There’s no point. He didn’t leave any evidence. Even if there are scars on my body, the police won’t be able to book him as long as he doesn’t admit to doing anything to me. It’s impossible that I could be a threat to him based on who he is.”

Leah got up and sat down next to her. “Aina, tell me. I’ll try to help you.”

After a long pause, Aina asked, “Why are you helping me?”

“You were nice enough to warn me about him. I know you did that because you’re a good person.”

Aina’s eyes darted around, and she said after a long time, “I warned you because you aren’t like the other women. His looks wouldn’t trick you.”

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2726

“What do you mean?” Leah was slightly surprised, “There are other girls?”

“I’m not the first one. I was fooled by him too.” Aina lowered her head. She began to tell Leah how Dennis had tricked her and had been treating her cruelly.

Leah was shocked and found it hard to believe after listening to what Aina said. The trick that Dennis used on Aina was exactly the same as he used to get close to her.

He would first create a scenario where he would bump into his target. After the encounter, he would then portray himself as a gentleman to lower the target’s guard so that he could develop a friendship with her.

Dennis had successfully won the hearts of many girls with his good looks, background, and his funny, friendly personality.

In the end, he would ask his targets to be his girlfriend so that he could have sex with them.

By the time his target fell in love and thought they had found the perfect boyfriend, he would reveal hist

true nature.

Aina and Dennis had not revealed their relationship because Dennis had always been “marketing” himself as an attractive, successful, and wealthy man who was single and available.

Dennis had told Aina that he did not want to reveal their relationship because he did not want to affect her career. Initially, Aina trusted him. It was only later that Aina found out he had been seeing another woman behind her back. When she confronted him, he physically abused her.

Aina had had no other choice but to yield to him, and she had been maintaining this twisted relationship with Dennis for three years.

Leah was first surprised when she heard what Aina had gone through, and then she felt sympathetic to

her.

Aina was crying her heart out, and Leah placed her hand on her shoulder to comfort her. “What about the other girls? Have they never fought back?”

Aina paused for a moment before shaking her head blankly. “Most of his targets are inexperienced college students. Some of them come from poor towns, while others are from other countries. Like me, they can only swallow their grievances.”

After that, Aina lifted her head and continued. “I know you’re his next target, but you’re smarter than us. Do you think we deserve what we get?”

Leah frowned. “No, you’re not. You don’t deserve to be treated this way. All of you are victims, and he’s the one who’s causing you all pain.”

Aina let out a bitter smile. “You’re the first person who comforted me this way. You know what? When I told them what he did to me to my friends, they just laughed at me for my stupidity. They said that I deserve it because I overestimated myself and that I was the one who wanted to find a man who’s out of my league.”

Aina’s head was getting lower as she said, “I have depression. I can’t sleep every night, and I’m constantly living in fear of being controlled by him. There are many times I want to kill myself, but I don’t have the courage to do it.”

Leah grabbed her hand and said, “There’s no way you can make everyone empathize with you, but you can’t give up on yourself because of that. The only person who can save you in this world is you. You can’t rely on other people. If you give up on yourself, no one can save you.”

After she finished speaking, she placed her hand on Aina’s shoulder. “I’ll help you.”

Aina trembled slightly and was hit by a pang of guilt. She hesitated for a long while before pulling a bottle of sleeping pills out of her purse.

Leah was stunned when she saw the bottle of sleeping pills. “Aina, you…”

“He was the one who asked me to come and see you. He wants me to put this pill into your drink,” said Aina. “But I can’t bring myself to do that. Rather than being tortured by him, I should just…”

She looked at the bottle of pills.

Since Aina was willing to tell her Dennis‘ plan despite having no will to keep living, Leah took the bottle of sleeping pills away and said, “Aina, thank you for telling me. I’ll help you. This is our chance.”

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2727

Aina was stunned.

Little did she expect that it was a stranger who would actually care for her in the end.

“Ms. Younge, he’s smarter than you think…”

“I know,” Leah said earnestly. “So, I need you to cooperate with me too. Since I’m his next target, I’ll be the bait. You just need to make sure that he believes you’ve succeeded.”

After that, Leah handed her phone to her and told her the password. “After that, I need you to call someone named Morrison. Remember to call the police as well. I’ll do my best to buy you as much time as possible.”

“Why do you trust me?” Aina asked, her voice filled with disbelief.

Did she not worry that she would abandon her after she had done what Dennis had told her to?

“If you really wanted to hurt me, you wouldn’t have told me what you came for. You could have just popped the pill into my drink when I wasn’t looking. Maybe this is the only way you can break yourself free from his control. I believe you don’t want to let go of this opportunity, right?”

Aina’s eyelashes trembled. “Will it work?”

“Don’t worry. You just need to make the call, and everything will be fine.”

In the hotel room…

When Dennis heard the doorbell, he walked up to the door and asked, “Who is it?”

“It’s me.”

After confirming that Aina was standing outside the door through the peephole, he opened the door and looked around before dragging her into the room.

When he realized she was trembling, Dennis chuckled and collected her hair behind her ears. “Where is she now?”

“She’s in the car. I don’t know how to carry her up here,” Aina replied in a soft voice.

Dennis caressed her cheek and praised her. “You’ve done a great job this time.”

Aina did not say anything.

Dennis sent an attendant to the car park to carry the “unconscious” Leah up to his room.

The attendant told him that he had not noticed anyone in the car park. Dennis watched as the attendant put Leah on the bed and warned him, “Keep your mouth shut like you always do, understand?”

The attendant shrunk and nodded.

Dennis noticed Aina was still standing outside the door, so he turned his head to look at her and said, “Go out and wait for me, honey. I’ll take you for a meal tonight. I’m very happy today, so I’ll give you whatever you want.”

Aina glanced at Leah, lying on the bed, and left the room.

After Aina closed the door, Dennis spun his head around to look at the woman on the bed. He took off his tie and leaned forward to stroke her cheek. “This is all your fault. If you hadn’t acted all high and mighty, I wouldn’t have to resort to this method.”

His finger stopped in front of her collar and undid the button with a single flick.

At that moment, Leah cracked her eyes open and pushed him away.

Dennis did not expect her to wake up at this time, but since she had already come to her senses, he did not have to hide anything anymore. He revealed his true intention and said, “Do you think you can get away since you’re in my hands now?”

Leah got up and pretended to be panicked. “Are you out of your mind, Mr. Clarke? How can you do this?”

“I really like you.”

When Dennis took a step closer, Leah sprung up from the bed and rushed toward the door. However, Dennis noticed her intention and blocked the door before she could reach it. “There’s no way you can get away.”

“Move aside, Dennis. Otherwise, You’ll be sorry!”

A crooked smile appeared on Dennis‘ face as he said, “I like strong women like you the most.”

He took a step forward and grabbed her into his arms.

Leah tried to resist, but at the same time, she did not forget her mission. She turned her head sideways and said, “Has it ever come across your head how sad Aina will be if she finds out what you did?”

Dennis stopped for a while and chuckled. “Aina? We’re just getting what we need. Besides, if it weren’t for Aina, how would you have fallen into my hands this time?”

He turned her face over, and just when he was about to kiss her, Leah pulled the pen out of her pocket and aimed the tip of the pen at his shoulder.

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2728

The pain caused Dennis to push Leah away. Looking at the pen in her hand, he laughed grimly and said, “I can’t believe that you have a pen on you, but it doesn’t matter anymore.”

He opened up the drawer and took a pair of handcuffs out. “Since you want to do it the hard way, I’ll give you what you want.”

Leah was shocked.

‘I can’t let him handcuff me!‘

She grabbed the lamp and ashtray on the table and threw them at him, greatly enraging Dennis. He marched toward her and pinned her on the bed before putting the handcuff on her wrist.

Leah shouted at the top of her lungs for help and kept looking at the door.

“Why are they not coming yet? Did she abandon me?‘

Leah trembled when her skin was exposed to the air, and a hint of fear crossed her eyes. Dennis‘ face was contorted with rage as he gazed at the feast underneath him like a lion looking at its prey, preparing to devour her whole.

A strong urge of disgust rushed over her, and Leah ignored the pain from the iron scraping against her wrists as she fought back with all her might. “Dennis, you son of a b*tch. Stay away from me. Otherwise, I’ll make you die a horrible death!”

Dennis sneered. “Really? How are you going to do that?”

“No!”

Suddenly, the door was kicked open from the outside, and a group of cops rushed into the room, followed by Aina, Morrison, and Damon.

When Morrison saw what Dennis was doing to Leah, his pupils constricted. He threw himself at Dennis and knocked him to the floor with a punch. “Get away from her!”

The cops and Damon quickly came forward to pull him away. Dennis was pinned on the floor by the cops,

and he raised his head to glare at Aina.

“How dare you do this to me!?”

Aina trembled and lowered her head.

After Leah was freed from the handcuff, she threw herself into Morrison’s arms, her body shaking

profusely.

In the end, the cops took Dennis away. As the witness, Aina had to go to the police station as well. Damon and his men followed her, worried that Dennis would harm Aina again.

Morrison took off his jacket and draped it over Leah. Suddenly, Leah cried, “I thought you guys weren’t

coming anymore…”

She had assumed she was going to get destroyed by Dennis.

Morrison set his jaw tightly. After a long while, he took a deep breath and said, “What the hell were you thinking!? How could you put yourself in such a dangerous situation? What if Aina didn’t inform us? How were you going to escape from Dennis then?”

Leah grabbed tightly at the jacket and fell silent.

In fact, she was taking a bet as well. She did not know whether Aina was lying to her or not.

If Aina had lied to her, she would deserve everything that happened to her, but in the end, she made the right decision to trust Aina.

Morrison carried her up from the floor and exited the room. He brought her back to her apartment and placed her on the bed. “You should get some rest.”

“Don’t go.” Leah grabbed his hand.

Initially, Morrison was planning to go to the police station, but it now seemed to him that Leah was still afraid. He pressed his lips thin and stood as stiff as a ramrod.

Leah grabbed the hem of his clothes tightly and said, “I’m sorry. I’ve overestimated myself.”

Morrison did not say anything. After a long while, he sat at the side of the bed and said, his voice filled with anger, “I thought you didn’t know about that? Even if you wanted to help Aina, you should have discussed it with all of us first instead of putting yourself in danger. Are you aware of how risky your actions were? If something went wrong, you would’ve been…”

Leah lowered her head.

Morrison took a deep breath to calm himself down and said, “I’m sorry. I wasn’t blaming you.”

“It’s okay.” Leah said, “You’re right. But I can bear any consequences myself. Even if Aina lied to me, I’d do whatever I could to get him into prison. Even if it’s…”

Morrison grabbed her into his arms and said, “Alright, shut it. Stop making these assumptions. Just promise me that you won’t do the same thing again next time.”

The Three Little Guardian Angels Chapter 2729

Leah lowered her head and buried her face into his shoulder.

Several days later, with the incriminating evidence provided by Aina and the cops as witnesses, Dennis was caught in an unprecedented scandalous storm.

As the storm continued to fester, those girls who he had violated also dared to come forward and speak  out.

Even the hotel registered under Dennis‘ name was thoroughly investigated. When the staff in the hotel heard that Dennis had been caught, they revealed that Dennis had been threatening them. He had taken advantage of his identity as one of the hotel’s top management to force them to help him.

Besides, he had a suite in this hotel that was “privately reserved” for him. According to those staff members, he would often bring different girls back to this suite to violate them.

No one was allowed to enter the suite without his permission. Also, the card key used to enter the room was specially made. There was only one, and he was the only person who had it.

The various sex toys in the room revealed Dennis‘ unknown side to the public.

This time, even his family abandoned him. They publicly accepted his conviction and even announced that he had been stripped of his right to inherit the family.

Aina cried out heavily since she finally got what she wanted after learning that Dennis would be sentenced to life imprisonment. She then submitted her resignation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Leah bumped into her in the corridor and asked, “Are you leaving already?”

Aina nodded. “I want to leave this city. It makes me uncomfortable. I think I won’t come back here anymore for the rest of my life.”

Leah knew that for some people, it would take a long time, or even a lifetime, to heal their wounds. She looked at Aina and smiled. “Maybe it’s a good choice to start over in another city. I wish you all the best.”

“Thank you,” Aina replied with a smile, her eyes red. After that, she carried her stuff and left.

At the same time, Leah received a call from her father. “Dad…”

“Leah, I saw the news. Are you okay? I’m worried about you.”

Leah set her jaw tightly and laughed. “I’m fine, Dad. Oh yeah, I just got a boyfriend.”

“What? A boyfriend?”

She successfully diverted her father’s attention.

Benjamin was shocked as he asked, “When did that happen? Are you sure he isn’t a cheater?”

“Yes, I’m sure of it. I’ll bring him back during the holidays. I’m sure you’ll like him.”

Benjamin chuckled when he heard what his daughter said. “Alright then. I’ll be waiting for you at home. I’d like to see which kid has captured my daughter’s heart.”

One month later, Leah brought Morrison back to visit her father.

Morrison had also prepared some gifts, and Benjamin was satisfied when he saw Morrison was as his daughter had described him to be. “Mr. Shaw, thank you for taking care of Leah over there.”

Morrison smiled and replied, “Don’t say that, Mr. Younge. It’s my responsibility to take care of my girlfriend.”

Benjamin laughed when he heard Morrison’s reply.

Soon, all of their neighbors learned that Leah had returned with her boyfriend. When they came out, a few people gathered around them.

“Leah, is he your boyfriend?”

“Oh my, you’re so lucky to get yourself such a good–looking boyfriend. You two indeed make a good couple.”

Leah smiled awkwardly. She did not expect the news to spread so soon.

Morrison grabbed Leah’s shoulder and said, “She’s not the lucky one. I’m the lucky one. People always say

that a wife three years older than the husband ensures a richer life, so I’ll take good care of her.”

“Leah, he’s three years younger than you?”

Leah looked at Morrison and chuckled. “Yeah. After all, he’s the only one who took the bait.”

Morrison was rendered speechless.

At the same time, one of them said, “All of us thought that you were going to marry Zephir. After all, you both grew up together…”

Someone stepped in and stopped her from speaking. All of them knew that Leah had liked to follow

Zephir around in the past. However, it was not a good thing to mention something like this in front of her new boyfriend. a

That person realized she had said something wrong and hastily said, “Ah, I’m so sorry about that. I didn’t mean to bring it up. I hope you won’t mind it. After all, we should leave the past in the past and keep moving forward ”

Leah smiled and did not say anything.

After the neighbors left, Morrison stuck his hands into his pocket and asked, “So, what are you gonna do about this childhood friend of yours?”

“What do you mean?” Leah walked slowly beside him. “Do you want me to break up with you and go back to him?”

Morrison stopped and turned around to look at Leah. “Stop this thought at once. If not, I’ll…”

Leah raised her head to look at him. “What’re you gonna do?”

Morrison picked her up from the floor, and Leah hastily coiled her arms around his neck. She looked around and asked with a smile, “What are you doing?”

“Do you think he’ll get angry if I wander around his house with you in my arms?”

Leah was amused. “You’re so childish.”

“Yeah, I’m childish. But someone hasn’t fulfilled her promise yet.” Morrison lowered his head to look at her. “So, when are you going to fulfill your promise?”

Leah kissed his cheek and replied, “What about tonight?”

He chuckled and said, “But it’s your home…”

“My dad won’t be home tonight,” she whispered into his ear.

“I see.” Morrison chuckled. “Since you’ve said it, let’s do it tonight.”

At Emperon…

Waylon was making a nutritious meal for Cameron when he received a text message from Morrison.

At the same time, Cameron came into the kitchen and said, “Wayne, I’m hungry.”

Waylon turned around to look at her and put down his phone. With a smile on his face, he said, “It’s almost done.”

When the meal was ready, Cameron sat at the table and started to eat. Ever since she got pregnant, her appetite had increased, and her weight had increased by ten pounds.

The good thing was that Cameron was not anxious about her appearance. She knew that she would get fat after becoming pregnant, so she ate and drank like she usually did.

Seeing that she was enjoying her food, Waylon couldn’t help himself and teased, “It seems like you’ve gained a lot of weight recently.”

Cameron raised her head and looked at him. “It’s all thanks to this little fella in my womb. Do you know how big of an eater your child is?”

He raised his arm to wipe her lips. “Yeah, so you need to eat more.”

Meanwhile, the screen of his phone lit up again. When Cameron saw that someone had sent him a message, she frowned and asked, “Who is the one that keeps on texting you? Could it be that you’re seeing another woman behind my back?”

“Does Morrison count?” Waylon lifted his eyelids.

“Ah, I see. So, you’re seeing another man behind my back,” Cameron teased.

“Oh, please stop that.”

After Waylon replied to the message, he placed the phone down. “He’s dating Leah now.”

Cameron was stunned and asked in surprise, “Seriously?”

“Yeah.”

“It seems like you have the potential to be a matchmaker.”

Waylon chuckled. “Stop teasing me. Even if I don’t do anything, they’ll come together as well.”

At night, Morrison came out of the bathroom after taking a bath. When he saw Leah lying on the bed in her thin silk nightgown, he set his jaw tightly.

Leah placed one hand on her forehead and beckoned him.

Morrison took a deep breath and lay on top of her. He propped himself up with his arms and asked, “This looks expensive.”

Leah raised her eyebrows. “I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with it.”
