Chapter 1931

Chapter 1931 Lunch went by peacefully. Caprice then headed to the construction site, where the location was set by her father.

Caprice was not too familiar with the collaboration with Carter Tech District and the procedures, so she followed Liam throughout the entire visit and listened to his explanation.

Brianne and Logan were responsible for taking notes.

Several hours went by in the blink of an eye.

After Liam's subordinates had explained everything and brought them to visit every part of the site, Caprice and Liam left. Liam suddenly stopped and said to Mitch and the two of them, "You guys head back to the hotel first."

His assistant and subordinates nodded and left.

Brianne and Logan exchanged a quick gaze and then said to Caprice," Caprice, we should go back to the office to compile everything as well. See you soon."

Caprice nodded. "Okay. See you."

The two of them left as well.

Caprice then looked at Liam. "Liam, are you going back to Westchester today?"

Liam glanced at her. "Let's talk in the car."

He then strode toward the parking lot.

Caprice followed him to the car but he was already inside when she arrived.

She opened the door and just when she wanted to get inside, a strong hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her inside. Caprice fell into his arms.

Then, his arm wrapped around her waist and his other hand held the back of her head.

What happened next was his lips pressed onto hers.

It was strong and demanding.

Caprice did not even have the strength to resist.

He only released her lips after some time.

Inside the dim interior, he looked into her eyes with burning lust.

Caprice pursed her lips, her face stained with blush. She looked at him timidly and asked, "Liam, what was that? "Why the sudden kiss?”

Liam lifted her chin and stared into her timid and obedient eyes. He scoffed and said, "| remember you were quite good when you teased me under the table during lunch with your leg."

Caprice’s eyes widened. It had been a whole afternoon and he still remembered it!

Caprice got nervous and guilty. She was just trying to prank him and nothing else, but the man seemed to have understood it wrongly.

She pondered before she explained, "My leg was itchy, so | was trying to ease it by rubbing against yours. It's nothing.” Liam pinched her cheek. "Is that so?"

"It is!" Caprice said strongly.

"Is your leg still itchy now?" he asked.

Caprice shook her head repeatedly. "No. No."

As soon as her words subsided, her right heel was removed and tossed to the side.

Before she could react, his strong hand lifted her right foot and tickled her.

“Ahaaaah! Hahaha, STOP! Stop it! Liam! Stop! Hahaha..."

She struggled and wriggled around while laughing uncontrollably.

Liam constricted her waist while holding her foot. He was strong and there was no way she could break free. Caprice teared up. She started to plead. "Liam, please! Let me go! | can't..."

Liam squinted. "Are you going to tease me again?"

“No! No! | won't do it again!"

Liam then released her foot.

Caprice sighed a breath of relief and glared at him with protruded lips.

Liam saw her aggrieved look and pinched her cheek. He jokingly warned her. "If there's a next time, | won't let you go this easily.” The girl somehow learned how to seduce him.

If his rationality snapped, he would have ravaged her in the car.

Caprice pouted. "Got it."

Chapter 1932 Liam had other matters to attend to at night, so after fooling around with Caprice for a while, he saw her off. Later that day, Caprice returned to the company and met up with Brianne and Logan to redo the proposal.

Caprice was not a competitive or proud person in life, but when her proposal, which she did with all her heart, was rejected, she still felt defeated.

Therefore, she was determined to come up with a better proposal.

Even if it could not win praises, she did not want it to be as bad as the first one.

She dedicated herself to the process. From the planning to the details, she was involved in every part of the proposal. The busy days went by in the blink of an eye. A week had passed since then.

With Brianne and Logan's help, Caprice managed to come up with a complete proposal without any template. After double-checking it, she emailed the softcopy to Liam at Westchester.

Then, she added a little text of her own beneath the attachment.

“Liam, I've finished the proposal. Have a look."

Ding!

Liam replied in less than a minute, “Okay.”

Then, another text came in. "Are you still in the office?"

Caprice then realized it was already 9 o'clock at night and it was a Friday. She was alone in the office. All the other employees had left.

However, Caprice was not in a hurry to go home. She answered, "Liam, have a look at my proposal first." She was eager to know how she performed this time.

"lm looking at it. You go home first. I'll give you a reply when you get home."

Caprice curled her lips. "Okay. I'll go home first. Take your time."

Caprice shut down the computer and grabbed her bag before heading out of the office.

Since she started working, her father had arranged a chauffeur for her.

She originally planned to take public transport to work but her parents and her grandmother disagreed, so she had to compromise.

The chauffeur and the car were waiting for her at the parking lot.

Caprice got in and reached home after twenty minutes.

John and Sherry were having a meeting outside and had not yet returned home.

Madam Stockton was waiting for Caprice in the living room.

When Caprice came home, the servants brought her favorite dishes.

She ate while Madam Stockton nagged her.

After dinner, she said to her grandmother, "Grandma, I'm going back. You should rest soon. Good night." Madam Stockton patted her head. "Alright. Good night."

Caprice returned to her own unit and went upstairs to her room.

She lay down on the bed with her phone.

It had been an hour since she sent Liam the proposal and he should have finished reading it. Caprice texted him, "Liam. I'm home and | just had dinner."

Aminute later, Liam sent her a video-call request.

Caprice quickly answered it.

Liam's handsome face appeared on her phone.

Caprice smiled and said, "Liam, have you seen my proposal?"

Liam tightened his lips and pondered for a moment before saying, "| saw it. It's good."

Caprice did not notice anything wrong with his expression. She was happy when she received his approval. She asked, "Is there anything | need to change?"

"It's very complete. There's nothing else to change," he said. Caprice smiled happily. She was carried away by his praise and his handsome look, so she did not notice that her collar was loosening.

On the other end of the video call, her breast was displayed on the screen and the man saw everything clearly, including her adorable bra and soft breast.

Liam video-called her because he wanted to see her reaction after he praised her. He was not expecting a surprise at all.

He swallowed nervously and took a sip from his cup of water.

 

Chapter 1933

Chapter 1933 Caprice saw him sipping on his cup of water and nothing else. Now that her proposal had been accepted, they could proceed with signing the contract.

Since Liam was too busy to go to Glanchester, Caprice said, "Liam, are you free next Monday? I'll go meet you and we can proceed with the contract signing."

Liam put his cup of water down and said, "Sure."

"Okay! I'll be going offline now. You better rest earlier."

Liam loosened his collar and said, "Okay."

Just when Caprice wanted to end the call, she accidentally tapped on the little window that showed her side of the call. When the little window enlarged, she saw her loosened collar and her chest showing.

Her eyes widened in shock.

She bolted up immediately. She covered her collar with one hand and held the phone with the other. She looked at Liam on the screen with a blush- stained face. "Liam, did you...see it?"

Liam awkwardly cleared his throat. "See what?"

Caprice glared at him. He must have seen her chest!

She remembered seeing him drinking water and loosening his collar earlier, and this must be it!

She awkwardly cleared her throat and decided to be frank with him. She asked, "Did you see my chest?" Liam went silent for a moment before he hummed a reply.

Then he explained, "It's not on purpose."

Caprice was deeply embarrassed.

She was the one who got careless with her collar. It was not like he asked her to show him her chest, but it was still embarrassing.

She hung up the call with a blush-stained face. Then, she ran to the bathroom to clean herself up from her filthy thoughts.

On the other hand, Liam was in Carter Tech District he called Caprice. He curled his lips into a smirk and loosened a few buttons on his shirt to ease his raging lust.

After a cold bath, Caprice felt refreshed and alive.

She returned to her room and picked up her phone to check the message in her dorm chat group.

Lana, Freya, and Piper were chatting inside the group.

Caprice had been away for a while since she got busy with work lately, and her friends had been missing her. Lana tagged her and asked, "Caprice, what have you been up to? Why aren't you replying?"

Freya added, "Are you busy dating Liam?"

Piper echoed, "I bet she is."

Caprice smiled sweetly at her friend's reply.

Ever since Heather pushed her into the fountain and Liam saved her, she found out that Liam was not dating Heather and she told her besties.

They all knew Heather was making things up.

Caprice replied, "My parents got me a part-time job lately and I've been working on an important proposal.” Freya asked, "What kind of part-time job needs to write a proposal?"

Lana sent a curious emoji.

Piper typed. "There are a lot of part-time jobs that require proposal-writing, okay? Don't be such a noob." She then asked Caprice, "Caprice, how are things going with Liam?"

Caprice knew Piper was trying to divert the topic and keep Lana and Freya from digging into her background. Piper did a great job of distracting the other two.

“Had you two held hands? Did you kiss?" "Did he climb on top of you? Did you guys have sex?!"

 

Chapter 1934

Caprice was embarrassed when she saw Freya's question.

She sent a sticker of punching someone in the face and then replied, "We kissed, but that's it." Lana typed. "Thank goodness! Our Caprice is finally advancing into adulthood!"

Freya typed. "Kiss? That's it? Is Liam's down there even working?"

Caprice was rendered speechless. She furiously typed on her phone and texted, "It's working! But we don’t see each other often and he respects me."

Liam was a gentleman and not someone who would think using their lower body.

Lana typed. "Hahaha! Caprice got nervous! Stop teasing her, Freya.”

"I'm just saying," Freya replied.

Caprice simply sent a bored emoji as a reply.

Piper then asked, "Caprice, school is starting in two weeks. When are you coming back?"

Freya echoed, "Yeah. Lana is back already. When are you coming back?"

Caprice knew her roommates missed her.

She chuckled and replied, "I think a few more days, but I'll be going to Westchester next Monday and we can meet!" “Alright. We're waiting.”

Caprice chatted with her friends for another ten minutes before she went to bed.

Meanwhile, Lana, Freya, and Piper were having supper at a bar outside Sparkrow University's campus. Freya exclaimed, "I'm really jealous of Caprice for having such a handsome and capable boyfriend." Lana propped her chin on both her hands and said, "I'm jealous too."

Caprice's boyfriend was the owner of Carter Tech District.

Aside from the man's capabilities, he looked extremely handsome as well.

Piper chuckled. "Caprice is also capable herself. They are a perfect match in myopinion."

Freya and Lana both looked at her.

Caprice? Capable? A perfect match?

They were jealous but they were also confused. They were not looking down at Caprice but were truly curious why Piper would call her capable.

Lana asked, "Piper, you said Caprice is capable, but she's always scored terribly in tests and exams."

Piper immediately realized she revealed a little too much.

She was not referring to Caprice's academic results but her background which matched Liam's.

However, Caprice told her to keep a secret, so she could not reveal it in front of her friends.

She chuckled awkwardly and said, "I'm referring to Caprice's looks! There's space for her to improve her academic results too. She’s bad now but it doesn't mean she can't achieve something big in the future."

Freya nodded in agreement. "You're right."

Lana nodded as well. "I believe she doesn’t have to work if she marries Liam."

Piper simply smiled and said nothing.

The girls were carried away by the foot and chats, and no one was aware of a person hiding in the shadow, eavesdropping on them.

Heather pressed her cap lower as she eavesdropped on them. She had been following them before they arrived at the bar.

Since the incident at Glanchester, she asked her father to investigate Caprice's background but other than identifying Caprice as a student of Sparkrow University, there was nothing on her.

She had to switch her attention to Caprice’s roommate to acquire more useful information. She had been standing in the shadows for an hour and all the girls talked about was Caprice and Liam.

They spoke nothing about Caprice’s background.

Chapter 1935 However, if Caprice came from a wealthy background, her friends would at least speak about it.

Now, all Heather heard was her friends talking about how beautiful she was and nothing else. It seemed like Caprice was not someone with a background.

Heather stayed a little longer and still did not get anything useful. She glared at the girls contemptuously before she left. On Monday morning, Caprice went to the office to meet with Brianne and Logan.

After they prepared the contract and necessary documents, they took a ride to Carter Tech District.

Westchester was blessed with amazing weather. The sun pierced the clouds and shed its glory across the city.

Both Brianne and Logan were already amazed by Carter Tech District before they entered.

They sized up the entrance in awe.

Logan exclaimed, "I've only seen pictures of this place. The real thing is much more astonishing.”

Brianne even took pictures with her phone.

Caprice brought the two of them inside.

The security guard of Carter Tech District knew her. Not only did he grant them access, but he also prepared a cart for them and sent them directly to Liam's office.

Coincidentally, when the three of them got out of the cart, they ran into Moses and Kenneth at the entrance. The two of them were in formal suits, and they were surprised to see Caprice.

Moses smiled and went up to her. "Caprice, long time no see. What are you doing here?”

"lm here on official business," Caprice answered. She politely added," What are you two doing here?"

Kenneth said, "Carter Tech District is interested in one of our research projects and they wanted to fund our research to develop it. We're here to meet the person in charge and discuss the details.”

Caprice’s eyes shone. "That's great news! Congratulations." If Carter Tech District was interested in a project, the project must be promising. Moses and Kenneth's startup would surely take a big leap into the future.

Moses said with a smile, "We have to thank you for setting us up with the investor. Without the funding, we won't be able to reach this step."

Caprice said, "That's because you two are amazing.”

Brianne then walked up to Caprice and whispered, "Caprice, we should go in now."

Caprice nodded and then said to Moses, "We have to go now. See you guys around.”

Moses smiled at her. "Okay, see you around."

He stepped aside and made way for Caprice.

The receptionist also knew Caprice. She got up as soon as they entered and brought them to a spacious and tidy meeting room. One of the receptionists brought them some tea and fruits and said, "Ms. Stockton, Mr. Carter will be here in ten minutes, please wait for a while.”

Caprice nodded. "Okay. Thank you."

The receptionist asked, "Is there anything that | can do for you?"

She was polite. She was afraid that she had failed to meet all of Caprice's needs.

Caprice smiled at her. "It's okay. Thank you."

She was here to sign a contract but not as a VIP.

The receptionist sighed a breath of relief at Caprice's friendly attitude.

The tea and fruits were placed on the tea table, while Caprice, Logan, and Brianne sat around it.

Brianne and Logan were slightly nervous. They only had some tea and did not touch the fruits. Caprice ate a few pieces of oranges.

Ding! Caprice’s phone buzzed all of a sudden. She received a text from Moses.

"Caprice, are you free later in the afternoon? | still owe you lunch, why don't we have lunch later?"
