Chapter 1936

Right before Caprice could reply, the meeting room's door opened.

Brianne and Logan bolted up instantly.

Caprice put her phone away and looked at the entrance.

The man came in with his handsome suit. His deep eyes looked calm and emotionless but emanated a strong aura. Caprice unconsciously sat up straight and smiled at him. "Good morning, Mr. Carter."

Liam's cool eyes showed a hint of warmth at her. He smiled back and sat opposite her.

Both sides exchanged contracts and began signing.

At the same time in the open parking lot outside, Moses just got into his car.

He leaned back and stared at the building.

Kenneth hugged the contract that they signed with Carter Tech District and said, "| bet she's here to see Mr. Carter. | don't think she has the time to have lunch with us. Why don't we do a rain check?"

He was eager to share the news with Jonathan and the others back home.

Moses' eyes continued to stare at the entrance of the building. "She doesn't seem like she's here to play. | think she'll come out soon."

He ran into Caprice touring around Carter Tech District once and learned that she grew up together with the owner of the place. However, Caprice did not look like she was here for touring again. She looked like she was here to talk business. Kenneth pursed his lips. "Fine."

Caprice might not be extremely capable but she was quite the looker. She and the owner of Carter Tech District were childhood friends, so she must have a background.

If Moses could ask her out on a date and eventually make her his girlfriend, that would also be a desirable outcome. Back at the meeting room, after reading through the contents, Liam signed his name on the contract.

One of the copies was given to Caprice.

Caprice took it with both hands and put it into her briefcase respectfully.

Liam gave his copy of the contract to Mitch and then said, "You guys can leave us."

Mitch nodded and left with the other employees.

Liam then stared at Caprice.

He did not say a word or do anything but Caprice’s heart started to race.

It had been a week since they both saw each other.

Her eyes flickered nervously before she said, "Brianne, Logan, why don’t you guys go back to Glanchester first?" Brianne and Logan smiled and nodded before they left together.

The moment the door closed, Caprice got up and went over to Liam.

He was still sitting on his chair, staring at her with an enchanting smile.

Caprice sat on his lap and curled her arms around his neck.

Liam curled his lips and put his hand around her waist; his other hand lifted her chin and then kissed her.

The lips locked for quite some time since they were alone.

Liam only released her lips when she started to lose her breath.

Caprice gasped for air as soon as their lips separated. She shyly buried her face into his neck. Liam smiled and patted the back of her head.

Awhile later, he asked, "Any plans for the day?"

Caprice said, "Nope, but I'm going to meet Lana, Freya, and Piper later at night." "Why don’t we go out for a walk?"

Caprice's eyes shone.

Adate?

She nodded and hummed a reply.

She got up and wanted to leave with Liam.

Ding.

Her phone buzzed again.

She tapped on the notification and saw a text from Moses.

"Caprice, | saw the two people who followed you earlier come out. When are you coming out?"

 

Chapter 1937

Caprice was caught off guard by the text.

She did not expect Moses to be waiting for her outside.

She replied, "Moses, sorry | didn't reply earlier. | have something else to do later, | can't have lunch with you." Moses replied almost instantly, "Alright. Are you free tonight?"

“Nope. Let's talk when the semester starts."

“Alright. See you."

When Caprice put away her phone, she noticed Liam had been watching her from the side.

He managed to catch a glimpse of the conversation. "Who is he?"

Caprice innocently assumed he was just asking out of curiosity. She said, " He’s a senior of mine at university. He also hired me for my first summer job."

Amomentary silence later, Liam asked, "Why is he waiting for you outside?"

No one should be able to enter Carter Tech District at this hour.

Feeling strange, Caprice asked, "He came earlier. You didn't know?"

"What's his name?"

“Moses Stewart. He said Carter Tech District is interested in one of his projects, so he came to discuss the details with you." YON?

Liam knew nothing about the man.

Small investment projects usually never needed to go through him, so it might be the marketing manager who was in charge of liaising with this man.

The thought was placed aside as he held Caprice's hand and walked out. However, when he passed by the window that had an overview of the parking lot, he had a glance at the cars down there. It was still working hours, so many people were moving around the building.

Caprice did not want to be the center of attention and did not want to put Liam in an embarrassing position, so she pulled her hand away from his and stayed behind him.

Liam stopped and turned around to her, confused.

Caprice said, "If people see us holding hands, you'll be the topic of the day or even the week." Liam pursed his lips and continued forward.

Caprice kept a two meters distance from him as she followed him out.

As they walked out of the building, even when Caprice was intentionally drawing distance from Liam, the employees could not help but stare at them.

Caprice followed Liam to the parking lot. The parking lot had no people and it was quiet. Liam strode forward to his car without stopping.

Caprice had to run to catch up to him, but she accidentally bumped into his sturdy back when he stopped all of a sudden.

"Ouch!"

Liam turned around. He held her waist with one hand and stroked her forehead with the other. Caprice frowned at him. "Why did you stop?"

Liam looked at her flatly. "I'm waiting for you."

Caprice was silenced.

If he wanted to wait for her, why did he stride so fast in the first place?

Fortunately, his stroke was relieving and comforting, to the point that Caprice could feel goosebumps on her skin. She grunted and decided to spare him this time.

Liam pursed his lips and then said, "Still hurts?"

Intentionally or not, he sounded extremely alluring when he spoke.

He even lowered his head closer to her.

Caprice could see his handsome and flawless face up close. His deep eyes and those thick brows landed a critical hit on her heart.

 

Chapter 1938

"I'm okay,” Caprice said instinctively. Then, a thought rushed into her mind and she said, "But I'm not happy. You have to make it up to me."

Liam narrowed his eyes. "What do you want?1'

He continued to speak in his alluring voice.

Caprice pursed her lips and then said, "Come closer."

Liam moved closer to her face. His handsome face was less than an inch away from hers.

Caprice then kissed him on the cheek before she turned and ran toward the car.

Liam grinned. He unintentionally glanced at the car beside him before he went after Caprice.

The driver and the bodyguards were waiting for them in the car.

The bodyguards entered the car after them and the driver drove them out of the parking lot.

Moses, on the other hand, was stunned in his car.

He stared at the MPV as it left his sight and even with it gone, he could not recover his composure.

The scene of Liam rubbing Caprice's forehead and Caprice kissing Liam on the cheek replayed in his head over and over again. The owner of Carter Tech District stroked her forehead intimately and she kissed him on the cheek with that sweet smile. Were they dating?

After a long silence, Kenneth sighed and said, "Moses, | told you we shouldn’t wait. Let’s go."

No wonder Caprice rejected his lunch invitation and turned down his offer.

She was already dating the owner of Carter Tech District.

Moses was still silent after a while.

Kenneth then added, "She's dating the owner of Carter Tech District.

There's no way she's into you now. Just forget about her, man.”

Moses stood out among his friends, but he paled in comparison to the owner of Carter Tech District.

They were heaven and earth apart!

Moses recollected his thoughts and said in disappointment, "Let's go."

Caprice visited Carter Tech District with Freya once at night and they toured the place as visitors.

Now that she had the chance to further explore the place, she did not expect Carter Tech District to be this fun! The place she stood before was the epitome of combination of technology and nature.

As soon as she stepped into the building, she started to float as if there was no gravity. She could jump several meters high and more than a dozen meters forward.

Intrigued, she started to jump around the place like a happy puppy.

She fooled around for quite a while before she noticed Liam watching her from the pillar.

He leaned against it with his arms crossed, looking casual and relaxed.

Caprice adjusted her posture and launched herself toward him. She even shouted, "Liam, here | come!" Just when she was about to catch him, he floated to the side, causing her to crash on the grassfield.

There was no gravity in the area, so the fall did not hurt her physically, but she was annoyed!

She turned around and glared at him.

Liam leaned against the pillar again and smiled at her. He was laughing at her clumsiness. Caprice bolted up. She went closer to him before she launched herself at him once more. This time, the ambush succeeded and Liam was knocked down to the grassfield.

Caprice fell on top of him.

"Hehe."

Her eyes curved beautifully as she chuckled.

Liam curled his lips into a bewitching smile.

Caprice had no idea what the smile meant and before she could understand what happened, his strong hand grabbed the back of her head and pressed her downward.

Their lips locked once more.

Caprice’s eyes widened, but the man closed his eyes.

He even skillfully pried open her teeth and unleashed his breath into her mouth. Caprice's body went numb and she closed her eyes to enjoy the kiss.

Before she knew it, she swapped places with him.

Chapter 1939

Before Caprice could react, he pulled his hands back and released her.

He flipped to the side and sat down on the grassfield.

Caprice followed and sat herself up.

Just when she wanted to ask what happened, she realized her collar had opened up after all the action. Her face blushed and immediately covered her collar.

Liam frowned. He looked at her with a hint of lust in his eyes and said, " Caprice, |..."

He did it on purpose, but when he saw her innocent and adorable face, he suddenly lost his words. Caprice widened her eyes. It was her first time seeing him speechless.

She pursed her lips and sat closer to him. She said, "It's okay.”

They were a couple, so kissing and fooling around were normal things to do.

Freya told her a lot about what couples should do while they were dating, so she knew how to react. It was just a collar. Even if he wanted to strip her clean, it was fine.

With this thought in mind, Caprice lowered her hands and said to him," We're going to be husband and wife anyway." The wind blew all of a sudden and widened her collar.

Liam was treated with a beautiful view.

He gulped nervously before he hugged her and kissed her again.

Carter Tech District had many interesting places.

After leaving the low-gravity playground, they headed to the next attraction.

Time flew when they had fun.

It was already the evening before they knew it and it was time for Caprice to meet her roommates. Lana, Freya, and Piper tagged her in the chat group, asking her when she would arrive.

Caprice was forced to part ways with her loved one.

“Liam, | have to go meet Piper and the girls."

She looked at him with her crystal clear eyes and blush-stained face. Her face had been pinkish since she came out from the low-gravity grassfield with him.

Liam stroked her cheek and said in his signature deep voice, "Go." Caprice got into the car. As soon as she got into the car, she said to the driver, "Uncle Henry, can you turn down the air-con?”

For some reason, she had been feeling hot the entire afternoon, especially after she came out from the low-gravity grassfield with Liam.

Could it be...? No! No!

They kissed and hugged and she got to touch his abs.

It was firm and it felt good...

As the thought popped into her mind, she shivered in embarrassment. She shook her head to discard the thought away. An hour later, the car arrived at Sparkrow University's campus.

It was dark and the street lamps were on.

As soon as Caprice got out of the car, she saw her friends waiting for her standing in a line. Caprice waved at them.

Her friends ran over to her.

Lana asked, "Caprice, what took you so long?"

Freya echoed. "Where were you the whole day? Did you go on a date with Liam?”

Piper was looking at her as well.

Caprice smiled shyly and hummed an affirmative reply.

Chapter 1940

The three girls ridiculed and teased her.

Freya then asked, "Are you going to see Liam later tonight?”

“Nope. I'm going back to the dorm with you guys. | have to go home tomorrow," Caprice said.

Freya was surprised. "You came all the way to Westchester but you're not spending the night with Liam?”

She even teased Caprice with some lewd gestures.

Caprice was more embarrassed than before. "We're not that far yet."

Freya clicked her tongue. "| see Liam is a good boy huh."

Lana nodded in agreement.

Piper then asked, "What base are you guys on now? Other than kissing and holding hands, what else did you two do?" Caprice immediately thought of the steamy scene back at the low-gravity grassfield.

Her face blushed. She stammered out of embarrassment, "N-Nothing else.”

"Caprice, you're stammering.”

"Why is your face red?”

"You're lying.”

The three of them pressured her to reveal the truth.

Caprice immediately fled the scene.

Her friends chased her and continued to tease her along the way.

The group of friends soon arrived at a nearby mall, which was crowded at this hour.

They then entered a highly-reviewed restaurant.

The second floor was fully booked but there were a few more tables left on the first floor.

Caprice and friends sat down at a table near the entrance before they ordered and chatted.

Halfway through dinner, another group of people came down from the second floor.

Caprice's table was facing the stairs, so she was able to spot them at first glance.

She was surprised by who she saw.

Her friends spotted her unusual reaction, so they too turned to the stairs.

Freya asked, "Caprice, what's wrong? You know them?”

Caprice nodded. "They are the employees at Moses’ startup."

As soon as her voice subsided, the group of people came close enough to spot her and they were also surprised. Caprice worked at the startup for a day before and although she was not close with them at all, she smiled at them politely.

A few of them smiled back before they left the restaurant.

After the group left, Moses and Kenneth came.

Moses seemed to have drunk a lot. His face was red and he had one arm over Kenneth’s shoulder. However, when he spotted Caprice, his eyes widened and somehow managed to regain some of his rationality. He pulled his arm off Kenneth's shoulder and then smiled at Caprice. "Hey Caprice, what a coincidence." Caprice smiled at him. "Hi Moses, you guys having a gathering here?”

Moses nodded.

“We just signed a huge contract with Carter Tech District, so we're celebrating here,” Kenneth added. Caprice smiled. "Oh, to celebrate? | see. Congratulations."

Moses glanced over at Lana, Freya, and Piper. "You guys are here for dinner as well?"

Caprice said, "Yeah."

Jonathan then said, "Moses, they are still eating. Let's give them some space."

Kenneth's gaze shifted. He echoed. "Yeah. You're drunk as well. Let's go."

Moses went silent momentarily before he looked at Caprice and said, "You guys have fun. See ya." 'See you around," Caprice said.
