“Osmond, are we just going to let them off for humiliating us?”
While Mia attempted to sow further discord, Megan sneered in response and gave her a sympathetic look.
“Mia, let me give you a piece of advice. If you don’t leave now, no one can guarantee your safety here.”
Triggered by the contemptuous look in Megan’s eyes, Mia exploded in anger. No longer satisfied with verbal attacks, she felt the urge to physically hurt Megan. However, Osmond warned her off with a glare.
“That’s enough! How dare you disobey me? I’m telling you to go back right now!”
Osmond who was known to be someone reserved finally let his temper flare. There was not an ounce of hesitation within the icy stare that he gave her.

As if she finally realized the severity of the situation, Mia retreated behind Osmond’s back. Despite opening her mouth to protest, no words came out of it.
It was now obvious to her that even Osmond could not change the situation.
“Shut up. Let’s go.”
With a darkened expression, Osmond was no longer in the mood to hear another word from Mia. As Megan and the rest watched both of them leave, they felt rather relieved.
“I’m afraid, Mia is going to become the most hated woman within the industry.”
Jerry shook his head as he turned his attention back to the screen. Megan and Silas shared his sentiments but it wasn’t their job as actors to worry about it.
After the recording for the second episode was completed, Megan and Donna left the film site. Along the way, both of them chatted about what she saw at Lostaria. It then reminded them of Jonas’ incident.
After having returned to Lostaria the second time, Megan contacted Rocky to investigate the matter. However, they had not received any updates from him.
With that thought in mind, Megan took out her phone, planning to give him a call.
“Making a call?” Donna couldn’t help but ask curiously. She then teased, “To Mr. Wilson?”
After dialing the number, Megan shook her head, feeling amused. “Definitely not. Don’t let your imagination run wild. I’m calling Rocky to ask about Jonas.”
“I see…” Donna pretended to be surprised as she dragged out her words on purpose. The teasing look in her eyes gave Megan goosebumps.
Averting her gaze, Megan looked away from Donna. Meanwhile, she twirled her hair with her fingers while waiting for Rocky to pick up.
“Hello? Who is this?”
After a while, the call finally connected. Raising her eyebrows, Megan calmly replied, “It’s me, Megan. Are you free to talk?”
The moment he heard Megan’s voice, Rocky who was typing on the keyboard with his other hand stopped. Holding his phone, he motioned for someone else to take over his work before walking out.
“Why are you calling me all of a sudden? Do you have something scandalous to share?”
By then, Rocky and Megan enjoyed a strange relationship akin to symbiosis, where they relied on each other in a delicate way.
Megan was aware that Rocky wasn’t always keen on helping her out. However, as someone without a public relations officer, he was her spokesperson by default. Therefore, she had to always entice him into doing her bidding.
“There are no new leaks but there’s something I want to ask you about. Remember when I requested you to help me investigate the rumor about Jonas being gay? Did you find anything?”
At the mention of Jonas, Rocky quickly remembered the case. After a brief silence, he recalled the details in his mind and reported, “Yes I did. Everything you saw online was fabricated. The person in the room wasn’t Jonas at all.”
Not Jonas?
It was just as Megan had expected. Thereafter, she couldn’t help but ask, “In that case, who is he?”
“Let me think. I remembered that he was just a small-time actor…” Scratching his head and furrowing his eyebrows, Rocky racked his brains. “Oh yea, his name is Nathan Coyle.”

Megan frowned when she heard the name. She tried her best to recall that person; yet, her effort was to no avail.
In the end, she asked, “Who is he? Why is he trying to accuse Jonas?”
Megan bombarded Rocky with all sorts of questions, but he had no answers to her questions. He reached for the other phone he had with him and started perusing Nathan’s information.
“He a model-turned-actor and has been cast as supporting characters in different dramas. Unfortunately, he has yet to make a name out of himself. According to the gathered intel, he seems to have a few sugar daddies.”
Megan gaped at the news because she was taken aback by the fact of Nathan having a few sugar daddies.
Her lips unwittingly twitched as she was at a loss for words. After a few seconds, she asked, “If that’s the case, do you have any evidence to prove he was the one in Mr. Whittemore’s room?”
“Of course! I have retrieved two photos by accessing the hotel’s surveillance system. Nathan’s side profile was clearly portrayed in one of the photos.”
Megan heaved a sigh of relief because she could prove Jonas innocent with the evidence Rocky had gathered.
Nonetheless, he would still have to go through a lot in order to get rid of the label of being gay. Otherwise, his image would be tarnished.
After Rocky put his phone aside, he denoted petulantly, “Speaking of which, Jonas is quite the unlucky one.”
Megan thought that particular statement was a double innuendo. Thus, she asked, “Why? What exactly is going on?”
“The staff of the hotel told me Jonas was there to sign the renewal clause. He wasn’t there for Mr. Whittemore, but they happened to be there around the same time. The netizen got creative and linked the photo of the topless man to them.”

Megan was stupefied—it was evident that she still had her doubts. Hence, she asked, “Are you indicating these were nothing more than coincidences? Mr. Whittemore has never once intended to accuse Jonas?”
She could vividly recall her conversation with Jonas at the hotel—he told her Anderson was the one who was behind everything.
Puffing on the cigarette, Rocky looked elsewhere and started chuckling. He replied sheepishly, “That wasn’t part of his plan, but he might have changed his mind after the photos made it to the internet. I believe Mr. Whittemore wants to prove Jonas has violated the terms, so he doesn’t have to fork out a fortune to void the agreement. Perhaps he had acquired the aid of the attorney for the same reason.”
Megan arched her brows in confusion and wondered if the fortune associated with voiding the agreement was worth exposing his sexual preference to the public.
“That’s pretty much everything regarding the incident Jonas has gotten himself involved. I didn’t have the time to explain everything. Also, you didn’t ask me about the detail,” Rocky explained everything in a calm and collected manner as though it was just another casual conversation.
Curious by his sudden change of attitude, she asked, “Thank you so much for your help, but I have one last question for you. Are you sure you’re the Rocky I’m acquainted with? The one I know is an extremely calculative man.”
He had his eyes glued to the cigarette in between his fingers as he deadpanned his reply, “When you were away at Lostaria, I was stabbed and rushed to the hospital. Perhaps, it was the doing of another celebrity I had offended. Fortunately, it was nothing fatal. You’re not the only one who has mentioned the same thing, but you’re the only one who isn’t against the idea of talking to me.”
Megan was surprised by the series of events that had occurred during the brief span she was away—Jonas was involved in a scandal, whereas Rocky was stabbed. Survival had always been tough in showbiz.

She tried to console the seemingly dejected man. “It’s time for you to move on because there’s nothing you can do to change the outcome. No matter what you’re up to, as long as you stay true to yourself, it’s fine.”
Overwhelmed by emotions, Megan heaved a long sigh when she recalled something. Suddenly, she brought up another request and asked, “I need you to do me another favor! Are you free at the moment?”
After puffing on the cigarette once more, he asked, “What is it? I don’t mind if it’s nothing tough.”
“It’s not tough at all because it’s what you do best! I need you to announce two things in the form of a question-and-answer session on your Twitter account!” Megan gave it a thought and swirled her eyes before adding, “Tell everyone Mia was the reason behind the delay of Let’s Run. On top of that, verify Jonas wasn’t gay.”
Rocky went dead silent for a few seconds after he heard the request. A short while later, he asked, “Do I get anything in return?”
Although Rocky was no longer the aggressive man he used to be, he hadn’t given up on pursuing wealth in life.
After much considerations, Megan added, “I’ll pay you, but I don’t have that much after spending a fortune to get the better of Herman.”
Rocky’s drooping pair of eyes gleamed in excitement when he heard her mentioning Herman. He asked with a smirk, “You can consider this a non-monetary compensation by telling me the things that have happened between you and Herman. Once you tell me everything, I’ll post the update immediately.”
Megan was dumbfounded because Rocky didn’t bother to conceal his intention at all. In the end, she shared everything that had occurred in Lostaria with him.
He burst out laughing because he found the series of incidents hilarious. “Oh, God! Those aren’t really worth it, but I can’t possibly go back against my words when I have promised to do you the favor. I’ll get it done as soon as possible.”

After they wrapped up their conversation and hung up the call, Megan let out a long sigh of relief. She was thrilled when she started imagining the things awaiting Mia.

It wasn’t an attempt to demotivate Donna. Instead, those were words of motivation in disguise to keep herself going because she knew she had to work harder.

When Megan heard Donna’s voice, she turned around and saw her across the street with a slender woman next to her. The relatively young woman had a digital camera with her.

Previously, she tried to procure Monica’s aid to produce her album; yet, her request was turned down because of Monica’s packed schedule.

Monica frowned in return because she disliked others staring at her in the eyes. She asked, “Do you know me?”

Monica lowered her gaze and started adjusting the setting of her camera. Instead of groveling herself at the presence of a celebrity, the woman with a ponytail remarked in a casual manner, “Sure. The set of clothes you have put on is suitable for a photoshoot to take place at a bustling street.”

Megan was intimidated by Rocky’s drastic change of behavior. The man who tried to force him into submission had morphed into an easygoing person after her trip back.

The duo had a great time ridiculing Mia on the couch. When they started engaging in a casual conversation, Donna received a call out of the blue.

Megan perused the photos and noticed Monica did a great job applying filters of different settings when using filters wasn’t even a fashion yet. She was able to customize a suitable theme for the photos.
Pointing at one of the photos, Donna exclaimed, “Wow! This is so artistic!”
Megan looked in the direction of Donna’s hand and saw a portrait photo with a high-contrast filter that perfectly highlighted the clothes she had put on.
“Of course! Have you forgotten she’s a hand-picked member of the team? Alright, it’s time for us to get going!”
Megan saved all the photos and uploaded them on her Twitter account.
A few minutes after they were posted, she received a lot of comments. Megan was delighted and decided to create a hashtag for her post.
Within ten minutes, her post went viral. Megan was slightly shocked, but those were actually part of her plan.
The outfits and styles she had put on were the exact opposite of mainstream fashion and the latest styles. Thus, she was certain it would blow up amongst youngsters soon.
“I think we need to pay Monica another few visits soon.”
Megan could barely conceal her excitement. Similarly, Donna was thrilled because she was certain Megan’s fashion sense and Monica’s exceptional photography skills would help Megan to secure her first endorsement with renowned brands.

The shop attendant could barely remain the straight face. She forced a smile and asserted, “I’m so sorry, but the small-sized one isn’t available anymore. If you’re sure you’re going to purchase it, I’ll get my colleagues from another branch to bring it over immediately.”
She had heard of similar excuses countless times before. Megan shrugged her shoulders and deadpanned her reply, “If that’s the case, can I get a middle-sized one?”
“W-We have run out of middle-sized one as well.”
When she heard the shop attendant’s reply, she turned around and scowled at her, behaving as though she had long seen through her lies.
“Oh! Who do we have here? Isn’t this Megan?”
When Megan heard another woman’s voice from behind, she turned around and noticed Jacinta was marching her way into the store.
As soon as the store attendant saw Jacinta, she rushed over to greet the top-notch celebrity with a sincere smile, “Ms. Twinkle, what sort of clothes are you here to purchase?”
Jacinta ignored the shop attendant’s query and made her way over to Megan’s side with her pair of heels that were etched with sparkling crystals.

Once the shop attendant acquired Jacinta’s instructions, she tried to head to the store, but Megan got ahead of her and stopped her.
She scowled at the shop attendant, showing no signs of stepping aside at all. “Haven’t you told me the store has run out of small-sized and medium-sized ones? How come it shows up miraculously when Jacinta is here? Is this the way you’re supposed to treat your customer?”
The shop attendant responded with a sheepish grin; yet, she wasn’t apologetic at all. Nonetheless, she did a great job concealing her emotions.
“Ms. Twinkle is the store’s VIP customer. Therefore, we have reserved a few for her. Ms. Rockford, if you’re able to spend over three million within a year, we’d be glad to offer a similar service to you.”
It was a flawless double innuendo that was capable of rendering Megan speechless and insulting her at the same time. With that being said, it was evident those were out blunt lies from the shop attendant because no stores would require their customers to spend millions to be VIP customers.

As she was at the top of her lungs, the man at the entrance of the store heard the content of their conversation.
He approached them with a frown and asked, “What’s with the commotion? What’s going on?”

Startled by their presence, he took a step forward and greeted Megan, “Hello, Ms. Rockford. May I know what’s going on?”
The crumpled dress could be seen on the porcelain floor, while the shop attendant started perspiring in fear. Judging by Megan’s reaction and Jacinta’s expression, he soon ruled out the possibility of them being in an intense fight.
A few seconds later, he shoot daggers at the shop attendant next to them.
“I’ll teach her a lesson immediately. On top of that, please accept the dress as a token of apology from us.”
Megan scowled at the shop attendant because the man who had shown up was the store’s operational director—Hudson. She had perused his information prior to her departure to get herself ready for the upcoming photoshoot.
