Chapter 2277
When they heard Elliot say he had no idea what was going on, the fans softened and sent him the video directly.
The moment Elliot saw it, he froze.
That was the incident—Jonathan stepping in to defend Dante and teaching Felix a lesson.
But how had someone recorded it?
“This has to be a misunderstanding. Please don’t believe it. There’s a saying—what you see isn’t always the truth.”
He tried to explain it to his fans in the livestream, but then abruptly left to find Jonathan.
He rushed into Jonathan’s room.
Just as he opened his mouth, Jonathan cut him off.
“Don’t say anything. I already know.”
“Jonathan, what exactly is going on? Why was that kick recorded and uploaded online?” Elliot frowned. “Now people who don’t even know the truth are cursing you out.”
He crossed his arms in frustration.
“And fine, whatever—if they want to curse at you, let them. But they’re dragging me into it too! That’s the part that’s really annoying.”
Jonathan didn’t respond. His fingers moved rapidly across the keyboard.
“What are you doing?” Elliot leaned in closer.
Only then did he notice how calm Jonathan was. Not a trace of panic.
“I’m checking the upload source,” Jonathan said finally.
After a moment, he stopped.
“As expected.”
“Who?”
“The upload location traces back to Robert’s company.”
Elliot frowned instantly. “So it was Felix’s grandfather? That’s disgusting.”
“No.” Jonathan shook his head. “Robert isn’t managing the company anymore. Everything there is being handled by Miranda now.”
“Oh.” Elliot’s expression darkened. “So it was her. Then what do we do?”
Jonathan went quiet.
He had kicked Felix. And now the situation online clearly wasn’t in his favor.
“I don’t know yet.”
“Then why don’t we just post a clarification video?” Elliot suggested.
Jonathan looked at him. “Clarify what? That I stepped in to protect someone weaker? That kind of video won’t get traction. Even if people watch it, they won’t believe it.”
“So what—nothing works, and we just let them keep attacking you?” Elliot’s frustration grew.
Jonathan raised a hand, calming him down.
“Don’t get worked up. Things have a way of turning around on their own. Let them talk for now.”
Elliot frowned but eventually sighed.
“Fine. I’ll go calm my fans down.”
“Go ahead.”
After Elliot left, Jonathan pulled up archived school footage and began reviewing it carefully, one clip at a time.
His eyes stayed steady, methodical—no rush, no panic.
On the other side, Cecilia had already seen the news.
She froze for a second, then immediately reached for her phone to contact the Jamieson Group’s PR team.
Nathaniel stopped her.
“Don’t rush.”
