Chapter 2286

Why was Miranda so determined to take the young master abroad?

And from what Felix had just said, it was clear neither Master Robert nor Mr. Adrian knew anything about it.

The driver quietly pulled out his phone and sent Robert a message.

Miranda had no idea the driver had been on Robert’s payroll for years.

Any time she did something suspicious, he reported it. This time was no different.

“Come on. Get in the car. We’re going home,” Miranda said, finally giving in.

Only then did Felix climb back in. “Mom, I’m not going back there. I want to go to school and keep studying.”

What he really wanted was to keep playing with the other kids.

After everything that had just happened, Miranda had no choice but to agree and take him back.

Inside the school, everyone assumed Felix wasn’t coming back.

Dante couldn’t help but say, “Felix finally got what he deserved. He’s so annoying. I hope he doesn’t come back.”

His deskmate nodded. “Yeah. Nobody likes him.”

At that exact moment, Felix walked up to the classroom door—and heard everything.

He froze.

Something tightened in his chest.

Nobody liked him?

Instead of going in, he stayed where he was and listened.

He wanted to hear how many people were talking behind his back.

What he didn’t expect was that, aside from Jonathan, everyone in the class was saying the same thing.

They said he bullied people.

They said they didn’t want him at the school anymore.

Disbelief filled his eyes.

He had always thought people liked him.

How had it turned into this?

“Felix, why are you back? Why are you standing out there?” the teacher called.

The voices inside the classroom stopped instantly.

Felix walked in, as if he’d caught them red-handed.

“What, weren’t you all talking about me just now?” he said coldly. “Why don’t you say it to my face?”

He thought they’d at least look uncomfortable.

They didn’t.

They just looked at him—flat, distant.

“Felix, we’re telling the truth,” Dante said first. “If we said it, we’ll admit it.”

The others nodded, one after another.

“Yeah. We meant it.”

“Don’t stay at our school anymore.”

“Just leave.”

The entire class spoke as one.

No matter how he looked at it, Felix had never expected to end up like this—rejected by everyone.

“Y-you… you guys are too much!”

His voice broke.

No one responded.

One by one, they sat down and went back to what they were doing, like he didn’t exist.

Felix clenched his fists and walked to his seat.

He sat down slowly and looked around.

No one looked at him. No one spoke to him.

Jonathan glanced up at him.

Felix’s chest tightened.

“Jon…”

Jonathan replied, his voice calm. “If you don’t want people to hate you, then be honest and behave yourself. Stop bullying others.”

Felix pouted. “When did I ever bully anyone? They’re the ones who are annoying.”

Jonathan looked at him, saw he still didn’t understand, and said nothing more.

He lowered his head and continued his work.

“Jon…” Felix called again.

No response.

Left with nothing else, Felix turned to Dante. “Dante, don’t forget—your Kennedy family still depends on the Rainsworth family.”

Dante let out a cold laugh—and ignored him.
