Fabian looked at Madeline and frowned. “Not long ago, a woman called me and said that Lily is here. She told me to come here to pick Lily up. I did hear Lily’s voice, but the call hung up soon after.”
After listening to what Fabian said, Madeline quickly noticed the landline phone placed on the cabinet.
She intuitively walked over and found that the telephone cord was unplugged.
After reinstalling it, she naturally pressed the redial button, and Fabian’s cell phone rang.
Fabian looked at the caller ID and glanced at Madeline. He was even more certain now.
