Despite Madeline’s comfort, Ava still sighed sadly. She leaned her head on Madeline’s shoulder, the corners of her eyes started welling with tears without her knowing as the cold wind blew past her.

“Maddie, I don’t think it’s important whether two people have feelings for each other or not if they want to end up together.”

“How could that be?” Madeline did not understand why Ava said that. “A marriage without feelings is the most painful and saddest thing in the world. You have feelings for Dan. He’s such a gentle and considerate person too. I believe he’ll make you very happy.”

Moreover, no man would be willing to give up his beloved woman. Besides, Daniel had no reason to give up Ava because of her family or character.

“I know as well that Dan doesn’t want to give tip on me, but he’s really left with no other choice now.” Ava felt helpless.

As soon as she finished speaking, Daniel called. However, Ava merely looked at the screen of the phone and did not pick it up.

When Madeline saw Ava’s hesitation, she took the phone and answered the call for Ava without thinking.

“Dan, I just met Ava. It seems that she’s very unhappy. Do you know what’s wrong with her?”

“My grandpa suddenly fell ill. The doctor said that the situation isn’t looking good for him and he might not have much time left. My grandpa said that he wants to see his grandson get married and start a business before he dies.”

“Set a date and get engaged to Ava as soon as possible, then. Your grandpa should be glad if you do that,” Madeline said deliberately.

Soon after, she heard Daniel answer with a sigh. “My grandfather has always wanted me to marry Naya. Naya’s parents used to be neighbors with us. When I was young, she and I often went to school together, but after high school, I never saw her that much anymore. Even so, my parents and grandpa like her very much.”

“You mean your family wants you to marry Naya? What about Ava? Are you going to give up on Ava just like that?” Madeline felt a little dissatisfied and pissed on behalf of Ava.

“Dan, I can understand your desire to satisfy your grandfather’s death wish, but what about Ava? Have you ever wondered how she would feel?”

Madeline nodded affirmatively. “Since Dan has already said so, then it must be the case. Have some faith in your future husband. Let’s go.”

Ava’ s cheeks turned hot, seemingly because Madeline had said the words ‘future husband’. To speak the truth, of course, Ava hoped that Dan would be the man she spend the rest of her days with.

Madeline and Ava wandered around International Mall. About ten minutes later, Madeline received a text from Daniel. He said he had arrived. Madeline immediately told him where they were. Then, she continued to shop with Ava in the mall as if nothing had happened.

It did not take long for Daniel to appear in front of Madeline and Ava like he had coincidentally bumped into them.

“Dan,” She smiled and called out before walking over.

“Hello, Miss Mendez. We meet again,” Ava greeted politely.

Naya smiled sweetly at Ava. “Hello, Ava. I met you once on Grandpa’s birthday and never saw you again. However, Danny always talks to me about you.”

“Really?” Ava smiled sweetly and leaned her head on Dan’s shoulder.

When Naya saw the intimate scene, she smiled while pretending to not mind it at all.

“Naya, are you hungry? Let’s find a restaurant so we can sit down and chat,” Daniel suggested. This was a suggestion Ava had given him while they were watching the movie, so of course, he would listen to Ava’s arrangement.

Naya nodded quickly, then she showed an aggrieved expression. “Yeah, I’m hungry. I’ve been busy the whole day and only had a slice of bread!”

“Let’s go eat now. What do you like to eat?” Daniel asked.

“You can decide, Danny,” Naya said obediently.

“Alright, okay,” Naya nodded obediently and answered.

When Naya’s mother saw this, she did not agree. “No, Naya, how can you…”

“Mom, take me home now. I’m still a little dizzy.” Naya grabbed her mother who was still trying to criticize Ava.

On the way home, Naya’s mother kept rambling on in the car.

“Naya, are you dumb? You had such a good chance to pretend to be sick so why didn’t you prolong it? Daniel is a good man and won’t turn a blind eye. You don’t know how to capture the heart of a man at all!”

“Mom, I’m already very annoyed right now. Can you stop talking?”

Naya complained, unable to take it anymore. When she remembered how affectionate Daniel was toward Ava, she felt extremely pissed.

“I’ll make Danny my man sooner or later.”

“Hmph.” Her mother scoffed. “You’re saying it like you’re unbeatable, but you can’t even deal with Ava.”

Naya felt even more unwilling and pissed after being scolded by her mother.

“Naya, don’t you know how to use such a good chance?” Naya’s mother looked at Naya like she had failed to live up to expectations. “If this goes on, your Danny will become someone else’s husband and you won’t even have the time to cry over it. Plus, the Grahams are on your side, so what’s there to consider?”

“I don’t want to ruin my image in his heart,” Naya admitted it quickly. “I don’t know what Danny likes about Ava. She looks so normal and she’s only an interior designer. She has no background and no status. She’s not a match for Danny at all.”

“Of course, she’s not! That’s why the Grahams don’t like her. There isn’t another woman in Glendale who’s suitable for Daniel.”

When Naya heard her mother say that, she felt more confident.

“Naya, men can’t stand temptations. There are unlimited desires in human beings. As long as you’re willing and become more savage, the man you want will naturally be yours. That’s how I got you back then.” Naya’s mother hinted at her.

Naya did not say anything but she was contemplating in her heart. After she thought about it, she smirked.

After Ava and Daniel went home, they went to find another Italian restaurant for dinner.

After a while, Ava asked Daniel, “Danny, did you know Naya from when you were younger?”

“Ever since I started primary school, she’d go to school and go home with me. However, I never had any romantic feelings for her.”

Daniel told Ava the truth and then emphasized that.

Ava nodded and asked, “So, what do you think Naya is like?”

“She… She’s an obedient and sensible girl. I don’t know much about anything else.”

“Obedient and sensible.” Ava was seriously doubting these two descriptions.

Married by Mistake – Chapter 2150

Daniel saw Ava deep in thought and suddenly grabbed her hand.

“Actually, I know nothing about her. I only want to know more about you.” Daniel looked into Ava’s eyes solemnly.

Ava was stunned for a while, and she quickly felt Daniel’s concern and care for her.

After dinner, Daniel walked with Ava for a while before sending her back to her apartment. When they were about to part ways, Daniel grabbed the door handle. His eyes were filled with innocence and disappointment.

“Don’t ignore my calls again. No matter how hard it’s going to get, trust that I won’t give up on you.” He promised and suddenly planted a kiss on Ava’s forehead.

“Ava, don’t take what others say to heart and don’t let them affect our relationship, okay?”

Ava knew she had made Daniel sad by ignoring his calls before this, so she nodded quickly.

“Don’t worry, Maddie talked to me today and I know I’m the one at fault. I won’t be so willful next time. A relationship is a two-way street. I shouldn’t let you handle this all by yourself. We should solve whatever difficulties that are thrown at us together.”

After he heard this, a relieved smile appeared on Daniel’s face.

When Daniel turned around, Ava stood at the door. Ava only closed the door when Daniel’s figure was out of her vision.

The moment she sat down, her phone rang. It was from Madeline, and Ava quickly swiped her finger across the screen to answer it.

“Maddie, I was about to call you!”

When Madeline heard Ava’s happy voice, she knew that the tense situation between Daniel and Ava was resolved after she left.

“You sound happy. Are you and Dan okay now?”

Ava grunted a reply and sighed softly. “Maddie, do you know what’s the plan to get the best of both worlds that Danny mentioned?”

“What is it?” Madeline asked curiously as she leaned against Jeremy’s body while she played with the little boy who was learning to speak. When she heard what Ava said, she was very shocked.

“That’s the plan he was talking about? Ava, you didn’t agree, did you?”

“I wanted to at first, but when I saw Naya, I don’t want to anymore,” Ava told Madeline her thoughts.

“I keep feeling that Naya wants to scam Danny into getting engaged to her. In short, I just don’t think this is a good plan.”

“Since you think that it’s not a good plan, don’t say yes. I’ll support your decision no matter what, Ava. But you have to trust Dan too.”

“Yeah, okay. Don’t worry.” Ava smiled. She was in a good mood now. When she was about to talk to Madeline a little longer, the doorbell of her apartment rang.

“Maddie, someone’s at the door. I have to go now.”

“Who’s at the door when it’s so late at night? Be careful.” Madeline reminded her. “Hang up after you see who it is.”

“Gosh, Maddie, are you worried that someone will abduct me?” Ava walked to the door as she said jokingly. Then, she opened the door with a click.

On the other end, Madeline asked when she heard the door opening, “Who is it?”
